We might have known for sure, if SevenArcs had ever explored Yuuno’s background after A’s. Instead, they explored Linith, a post-humous character who never appeared on-screen and had no impact on the plot of any anime season. We only have an idea of how and why Yuuno had Raising Heart because of a footnote in a manga adaptation of a movie adaptation of the first season, and a similar footnote in some promotional/concept art for a manga set after the third season. (And in Nanoha: Innocent, I’m told Yuuno is just a normal pet ferret rather than a human being.)

Looks to me Yuuno has some family issues with the Scrya or that at the very least they did not want him to join the bureau even as just a libertarian.

There was quite a lot of things that was extra-only, some of it was later put in the movies, like the fact that Linith was Precia's familiar and that scene in the end of the second movie with Hayate crying after Reiforce died, but I don't consider that as important lore, most of the time the lore that's in there is from character backstory, there already some chapters of the Reflection manga translated, and it's all been about the sisters backstory so far

The worst thing I can think of is Ixpellia, she was a character created in a drama cd that happens after Strikes, and she appears in Vivid with absolutely no explanation, and they kind of expects you to know who she is, but 1 she's not really that important to the plot of Vivid (she's a bit more in the manga, but even then not that much) 2 she was created in an extra material first then put in Vivid, not a character that just appeared in there and was given explanation later in an extra

They also explain some things like why Arf is now always small and not by Fate's side, why sometimes Rein and Agito can be in "human" form (instead of tiny floating girls). So there's precedent for putting lore there, so I think is more of a question of if they consider Formula important enough to be explained in the movie

This... really doesn’t sound good :/ 

Arf in particular, it was a thing that was “???” in StrikerS and I was disappointed they didn’t retconned it in the movies (what is the reason, by the way? The original met her end after Fate “matured” and didn’t need her anymore but got later resurrected/copied by Fate herself, so new, young = child? I kind of remember something along these lines but can’t remember where I read it).

I hope Formula will get the cartridge treatment, I really do.
