The Legend of The Sea: Epilogue

"You're crying? You must be turning human, the MerFolk don't cry."
"Of course we do. Why do you think the Sea is nothing but salt?"
Pairing: Choi Seungcheol × reader Genre: Heavy Angst, Romance, Implied smut Word Count: 4K A/n: It's finally here! I felt the angst level in the original fic was too high I wanted to give some closure but also maintain the bittersweet nature of their story so I tried my best, I hope its a satisfactory to you guys! Read the fic here first!
3 months later.
Seungcheol stared at his reflection in the water.
Dark hair toussled messily in the wind, dark circles stark under his eyes. He hadn't slept in days....he couldn't.
Every time he closed his eyes he would go back to that night in his room.
You taking a step back and then another.
Your hair fluttering in the wind of the sea.
Your eyes, when you looked at him for the last time.
He just couldn't get it out of his head. The scene would play over and over and over in his head, as nightfall would turn to daybreak, forcing him out of the confines of his room, forcing him into court, forcing him into his role as King.
That was the unfortunate thing about being one - Seungcheol didn't have the time or the luxury to wallow in his own sorrows. He had a kingdom to look after and people to protect. That meant everyday, he had to be a leader, he had to be the bravest man in the nation. It was only in the darkness of his room, standing before the window, taking in your lingering scent and the echoes of your words that he was his true self - a broken, broken man.
If there was any place that could offer him even a sliver of solitude, it was here, at the seacave. Seungcheol didn't know why he found himself here so often. Even though it was the waters that so cruelly took you from him, perhaps being close to the ocean made him feel close to you. Or perhaps because sometimes, the sea would take pity and wash up little somethings from your life onto the shore - your favourite sea weed, or the rare sea flowers you loved to talk about or those pretty pearls in the oysters.
Over the days, Seungcheol had been collecting those little tidbits, filling the cave with signs and memories of you. He had moved your favourite dresses, your favourite books, everything precious to you that was left in his possession out here. This was his haven, his sanctuary - his last reminder of you. His castle and the men in his court were unfortunately not gracious enough to entertain Seungcheol's misery - they needed him to leave you behind, needed him to find a queen, a political alliance that could strengthen the kingdom. Yet another reason Seungcheol often found himself in the presence of the ocean - even though it was taunting, it was where you belonged and where he freely belonged to you.
Today too the ocean is mocking him not so subtly, as Seungcheol's eyes fell on a little something that washed up on the shore, something he was actually quite familiar with - your seashell necklace.
Many months ago, right here, around the time day blended into night, you met him, speaking urgently. You rambled about some mission, something you had to do, something he had to help you with. Handing him this very necklace, you told him one day you'll come to Land like a blank slate and asked him to return it to you when you felt most lost - you said that it would remind you of what you needed to do when the time came. Seungcheol did not understand at all. It didn't matter though, all he had to do was just help you however he could. Your mission was his mission.
Bending down, he picked up the necklace, wondering how exactly it aided you. He had been noticing changes in you for a while by the time he returned it to you. You were asking more questions about the ocean, you were more quiet, lost in thoughts, lost in a battle with yourself. Seungcheol knew he had to let you figure things out, that's what you told him and that's what he did. By the time he came from war, the way you held onto him when he finally recovered told him something had drastically changed. Before he could even attempt to fathom what it was things had escalated - his father died, you were jailed for an assassination attempt and Seungcheol was forced to become king to free you.
Maybe if he hadn't let you go, you'd still be there, not beside him but at least he'd have the knowledge and the surety that you were okay. But Seungcheol couldn't bind you like that, he couldn't strip you of the one thing you valued the most about being in the ocean - your freedom. He had to let you go, but he didn't think you'd have gone this far away from him.
"She always manages to find a way doesn't she?"
Seungcheol stumbled back at the sound of a voice, completely taken aback. Before him was a woman who was definitely old but didn't seem it - she had a staff in one hand, and had donned clothes that made her look like she was in the waters though she was clearly floating above it. It was an apparition......this was magic - that meant she was a woman of the sea.
"The Sea Witch." She corrected his thought, pointing. "And the owner of that."
Seungcheol glanced at the necklace in his hand. "This is Y/n's."
The old lady let out a laugh, shaking her head. "I told you, she's a smart one that one. Always a step ahead, even of me." As she floated closer to him, Seungcheol did not take a worried step back. "Your lovely Y/n, she was an apprentice in my practice, all members of the Royal family are bound to work under me to understand sea magic-"
"Royal family?" Seungcheol blinked hard and fast. "Y/n.... she's....royalty?"
"Strange isn't it? Neither did you know you were in love with the youngest princess of the Sea, neither did she know she was in love with the only Prince of the land. Things would have been so different had you both known....."
"I don't understand." Seungcheol rubbed his head. "What do you mean?"
"Do you know why Y/n came to land King Choi?"
"I figured it was to kill my father-"
"The king." She corrected. "Y/n's mission was to kill the king. Did you ever wonder why?"
"I pondered about it day and night. The only explanation I could think of was...." Seungcheol recalled that fateful day. "It has something to do with my father setting sail."
"Indeed." She confirmed, making Seungcheol's heart sink in his chest. He knew that was a bad idea, he had voted against it. And with each word of the story that the Sea witch proceeded to tell him, it only made it worse.
"So...." He tried to process everything that had happened. It all made sense and also didn't at the same time. "Y/n had to kill my father or me to get back her kingdom. How did you or anyone think she could have done that without her memories? How could you expect that-"
"Was she not nearly successful King Choi?" The Sea Witch smiled knowingly. "Did you think the Hwangs would set her up to a mission that she could easily fulfill? Their plan was to tie her ancient sea magic, to ensure that she would fail in all ways possible, but your woman..... she's a warrior. She's one of the finest battle strategist the sea has ever seen and she had cleverly planned everything in her favour. That necklace...." She chuckled looking at his hands. "That is one of my most prized possessions, something she knew I would help her in exchange for and so she planted it with you and used it when the time came. She always finds a way King Choi, you see how its reached you again? How she sent me to you?"
Seungcheol stared at the seashell pendant. He had just thought of it as a pretty reminder of where you were from. He didn't know it was your secret weapon. That there was so much to this.
"And what do you want in exchange for it?" The Sea Witch stepped ahead, mistaking his wandering into the past as hesitance. "What is it that you want?"
Seungcheol let out a sad chuckle. There was only one thing he ever wanted.
"You can't give it to me." He held out his hand, returning the necklace to its rightful owner. "You can't bring her back."
"But I can."
The crashing waves were not louder than the racing of Seungcheol's heart against his chest.
"Only the dead can't be brought back King Choi. The living just need to be moved around."
The living.
"That's not possible." Seungcheol shook his head. "I know how Sea magic works, she's told me before, you just told me! I saw the sea foam myself....." He wrapped his hand around shell, its sharp edge bleeding him over a wound that never healed. "How is it possible?"
"Because of that." She pointed at the crimson of his hand dripping into the golden sand. "The Sea works in mysterious ways King Choi; magic works in mysterious ways too. When Y/n fell into the Sea that day, so did the dagger, with your blood on it. Blood for blood. I believe the sea magic was satisfied."
Seungcheol felt a ragged breath leave him. "She's.... alive?"
"Barely."
The Sea Witch waved her staff in the air, making the waters rise like a screen, the evening light behind it projecting an image. It was you, sitting down somewhere on the floor, hugging your legs, softly rocking back and forth. Your arms looked a lot thinner than usual, cheeks sunken in, eyes tired and fluttered shut.
"The Sea might have spared her but the Hwangs didn't. The mission was to kill the king. Your father died a natural death and if it had ended at that, there was nothing to argue but unfatefully, before the completion of 100 days, there was another king." Seungcheol felt his insides turn. "She failed to kill you and so she wasn't deemed worthy of the crown. When Hwangs took over, their first order was to imprison her to avoid any rebellion from her side against the new kingdom."
The Sea Witch tilted her head at him, smiling sadly. "Strange isn't it? What you did to save her was what ended up being her downfall. Fate too works in mysterious ways."
Seungcheol swore if fate appeared before him right now, he would crush it with his bare hands.
"I'll get her back." Never before did he feel the kind of determination coursing through his veins. The image of you slowly disappeared as the sea witch lowered her staff looking amused. "I'll save her no matter what it takes."
"Y/n doesn't need your saving King Choi. She went to prison willingly." Seungcheol’s lips parted in shock. "Taking into consideration that you became King only the night before a 100 days completed, the Council of the Sea offered her one more chance to go to Land and kill you. She refused. She said she would prove her worth for the throne in the Sea itself. Sure she's benevolent, loves her people and is loyal to her kingdom, but the fact is that she was simply not trained for administration - she was no match for the Hwangs and so the Council declined her claim to the throne."
You refused to kill him. Again. Even if meant saving yourself and everything you cared about. Seungcheol was determined to do whatever it took to get you back. Unite heaven and earth if it came to it. Bring hell from underground, whatever it took.
"Then I'll get her throne back. If that's what it takes to free, I'll do it. Even if it means war. I have been working on science that would allow us to breath in water - we'll set sail, we'll fight, we'll free her, I can do it."
The Sea Witch stared at him, at his pacing agitated self, his mind going mad with just one goal.
"Do you know how magic really came to the sea King Choi?"
Seungcheol blinked, taken aback by the irrelevant question but didn't show it. "The Kangs escaped into it with the spectre of magic....." His eyes focused on the staff in her hand, words faltering as he recognised it from the faint drawings in his old books.
"Escaped?" She laughed without humour. "That's hardly the word King Choi - it was an act of love." Seungcheol frowned in confusion as she continued. "Though both families were neck deep in war, of all the people in the world, the Prince of the Choi kingdom was deeply in love with the Kang Princess. It was his love that brought the spectre of magic to the Kangs, allowing them to hide from battle. It was his love that stopped the war, separated both worlds and ensured peace and it was her love that ensured her people survived. Its her love that still keeps them alive even after so many years."
Seungcheol felt like something stabbed him in his chest as he looked at the Sea witch, grip tight over her staff, looking older than time and in her eyes he recognised the look he always saw in his own - a pining, a fruitless longing for the ones they loved. It was her, she was the Kang Princess. "Their love saved the world, you cannot allow yours to end it King Choi. You cannot declare war between two worlds over a mere desire."
Every bit of hope that had risen in Seungcheol crumbled miserably. "Is there nothing I can do? How am I supposed to just sit still knowing she's not alright?"
"Forget her Seungcheol."
" I can't-"
"Listen to me," She urged urgently. "If you don't bring war to Sea, the Hwangs will eventually bring it to Land. There's a reason the people of the Sea do not want them on the throne - they don't care for anything before power. The only strength the Sea had over Land was magic, but now with people here slowly discovering it, with people like you letting your inquisitiveness take over, the Hwangs feel threatened. So I have a solution if you're willing to listen."
Seungcheol nodded.
"Relinquish your knowledge of the Sea and as King, give me permission to take the same away from your people. I will make a deal with the Hwangs - your memories in exchange for Y/n's freedom."
Seungcheol looked at her with hope. "Do you think that would work?"
"Do you think you can do it? Forgetting about the sea would mean, forgetting about her too. You won't remember anything about her, it will be like she never even existed." She looked af him sadly. "But she will be free and she will be home."
Not having even a memory of you? All Seungcheol ever knew was his love for you, if he forgot that, what would he be but a shell of a man? But if it meant you'd be free, that you'd be safe, what else could possibly matter to him?
Seungcheol didn't remember much of what happened after he nodded. He rememebered thick black smoke rising above the forest right from the castle, prompting him to immediately get on his horse and ride towards the fire. It was his library. He watched the guards pour buckets of water to douse the flames but unfortunately it only stopped after every single inch was reduced to ashes. As Seungcheol walked in the aftermath, he racked his brains to remember what exactly was in here and if it truly was valuable or not. Considering he could barely recollect what was here, he figured it must not have been too important and sent orders for the place to be cleaned and the room to be redone. After all, the new queen would need a space of her own.
8 years later
It all began again the day you woke up on the beach.
The air was cool, the sand was hot; the seagulls were flying across the blue sky, the sound of the waves was like a beautiful melody – it was like a perfectly painted picture. It felt serene and pleasant and like home, like nothing could make this moment feel better.
Then you heard the laughter. A familiar, beautiful laughter and so this time, you didn’t hide.
Adjusting your red dress, you pulled yourself up to your feet, leaning against the big boulder and there you saw them, Seungcheol laughing at Kkuma as the little ball of fluff rolled about in the sand. The tightness that did not leave your chest the last eight years slowly began to unravel. There was so much happiness in his laughter, so much life in the way he chased his dog in the sand. It was like he had none of the pain that you were carrying for almost a decade.
Of course, he didn’t. The Sea Witch told you what happened, that he had given up all his memories of the Sea to save you. That he had given up all his memories of you. You knew that meant he didn’t pine for you the way you did for him all these years, but you didn’t think you’d see him so carefree. Something about the way your existence didn’t seem to even affect him sent a strange sadness rippling through you. Maybe coming here was a mistake. What if he had moved on? What if he got married and had a family? What if you returning made no difference to him? You could understand Seungcheol not remembering you but the thought of you not mattering to him anymore? You don’t think you could handle that; you should have never come here.
You took a step back and then another, pulling yourself away from there, pulling yourself away from him when you felt yourself knock into something that let out a small cry. You turned around to see a small boy rubbing his head vigorously, looking at you full of accusation. He looked young, like he was five or six, dressed in the finest of clothes, his hair windswept to the side. You got on your knees, meeting him at eye level to apologise when you felt yourself being knocked over into the sand by a familiar ball of white. Kkuma barked excitedly, covering your in wet licks, making you laugh, the pain in your heart slightly ebbing. Maybe not everyone had forgotten you.
“Kkuma never plays with strangers.” The young boy narrowed his eyes at you. “Who are you?”
You looked at him at a loss of words, when a shadow fell over you making you look up to see a silhouette against the sun. It's only when he crouched beside you that you could see all his features clearly - he's gotten a little old over the years but he still looks like Seungcheol. Your Seungcheol.
“You’re not supposed to be here. The beach is off limits.” He stated and you looked at him pointedly. Somehow, he understood the question in your eyes. “I’m not supposed to be here either but…. Something about the Sea keeps pulling me to it and I am the King so…”
You politely bowed, as one would to a King.
“I’ve not seen you around. Are you from out of town?”
You nodded. You didn't know what else to say to him. How could you explain the events of the last 8 years? Before you were taken away to prison the one thing you managed to do was get a hold of the Sea Witch's shell necklace and guided it to reach him with the little magic you knew. You knew it would bring her to him like it did to you, that it would offer him and explanation and a closure but the result of that ended up so much different than you had expected - you'd lost him in ways you didn't imagine.
After you were released from prison there was only one thing to do - get the Hwangs out of power. So you spent years assembling an army, figuring out the best way to crumble this empire when you received news that your sister was not in fact missing but hidden away by the Hwangs in an attempt to take over the throne. After you had successfully plotted and managed to break her free, even though the Sea Council deemed she was the best fit for the throne, the Hwangs did not surrender. Days and nights you battled, the sea was plagued with storms and horrifying events until finally one day, the hwangs fell from power, returning peace to the waters. It was only after you put your sister on the throne, made sure that the Sea was in safe hands that the Sea witch confided in you - once you gained the ability to breath on Land, you'd always have it - you could go back to Seungcheol.
And here you were, with him right before you, with nothing stopping the two of you from being together yet in his eyes, you were nothing but a mere stranger. You wondered if this was how he felt when he found you so many years ago, when you didn't look at him with an ounce of recognition. It must've hurt, like the way it was hurting now but it did not stop him from looking after you, guiding you, making you fall in love with him all over again.
"So you don't have a place to stay?"
You shook your head.
"Can you not speak?" The little boy quipped, earning a glare from the older man. It made you smile as you nodded. Things had not changed on Land.
Seungcheol eyes though wandered over you like he was trying to see through you, figure you out. They stopped at the shell necklace resting on your neck, one last gift from the sea witch before you left the ocean for good. On it engraved were the words,
"Till death do us part." Seungcheol read and you nodded, echoing his words. "Till death do us part."
He met your eyes and you wondered if be could see how much you longed for him, how much you missed him. His lips parted like he wanted to say something but was interrupted by the little boy standing in between, holding the pendant in his hand.
"Is this from the sea?" You nodded, making his eyes shine in excitement. "My father loves the sea, he thinks there's life under it! He keeps researching and studying about it everyday. Do you know? Have you seen life under the sea-"
Seungcheol pulled the child away from you, mumbling, asking him to play with kkuma who just refused to leave your side. You nearly smiled thinking about how Seungcheol somehow gravitated back to the waters but couldn't bring yourself to when the boy's words ring in your head.
"Father?" You looked at Seungcheol hoping he couldn't see how broken your heart was. Of course he'd moved on.
"I adopted him when he was really young. He was found abandoned at the steps of a church. He needed a parent and the kingdom needed an heir, so....." Seungcheol wasn't quite sure why he was explaining so much to you, a stranger. Something about the questions in your eyes just compelled him to.
"And the Queen?" Your fingers played with the sand, trying not to sound too hopeful.
"I don't have one." Seungcheol confessed. "I could just not bring myself to have one, I don't know why....."
His words trailed odd as he looked at you and that little smile dancing on your lips. God you were so beautiful, why did you make his heart clench like that? He cleared his throat, shaking his head.
"If you don't have a place to stay, you may stay in the Palace till you can arrange for you accommodation. I shall personally look after the necessities, is that okay?"
You nodded slowly as Seungcheol stood up, but this time when he held his hand to help you, you took it, with an unsaid promise to yourself and him, never to let go again.
You were going to make this man fall in love with you all over again. Just like he did.

to be in love (csc)
tags: idol bf!cheol, non-idol!reader, fem!reader, reader is referenced as ‘noona’ and ‘girlfriend’ by svt, 95 line!reader, you surprise cheol (and the rest of svt) during practice one day, svt loves you a lot, you also love them a lot, cheol is more whipped than frosting, not proofread, i'm just going insane don't mind me
no matter how much your boyfriend choi seungcheol told you that his members probably loved you more than him, actions always spoke louder than words. as the leader of the group, seungcheol never held back in spending for the sake of his members. he affectionately called them ‘the kids’ or even sometimes ‘his kids’, and he liked giving out allowance/spending money to them.
but, none of that mattered. at least, not right now.
tonight was one of those nights where they had to stay up learning choreography so they could begin cleaning in the following week. by this time, their head choreography instructors were long gone and it was just the thirteen members in their dance studio. when seungcheol’s phone rang, he was at the other side of the practice studio as he went over the choreography with hoshi, mingyu, and jeonghan.
seeing the display name ‘baby’ on seungcheol’s screen, seungkwan picked up instead. “hello? noona?”
“oh, is this seungkwannie?” your voice asked back, excited. “hi, seungkwan-ah!”
he smiled, greeting you back. “hi noona! seungcheol hyung is going over choreo right now with hoshi hyung, so i picked up instead.”
“really? that’s okay,” you hummed. “i’m down in the lobby. if you or someone else isn't busy, do you mind letting me into the rest of the building?”
seungkwan’s eyes scanned around the room, trying to remember which group came next in the choreography. “i think i can send shua hyung and dokyeom hyung?”
“okay, thank you! make sure you keep it a secret from cheollie. i’ll see you soon, then,” you replied, then ended the call.
soon, joshua and dokyeom were excitedly making their way down to the lobby after telling everyone else they were just “going to the bathroom.” (this made woozi ask why they were going to the bathroom together, but he quickly lost interest just as fast as he asked the question.)
when you saw the elevator doors open, you got up from the couch where you were sitting and gave them both a hug. “hi, shua,” you greeted your friend with a hug. when you pulled away, you were immediately swallowed up in another hug by dokyeom. “did dokyeommie miss noona?”
his cute yes~ made you laugh. you held up two bags of food and two bags of drinks. “help me carry these?” you asked.
the two boys chatted with you as they took all the bags -- because no way would your boyfriend forgive them if they made his girlfriend carry their stuff. they told you that you didn’t need to bring them food, but you could already hear their stomachs growling. you knew your boyfriend like the back of your hand. he was definitely hungry right now, and he would let the boys take a bite of his food before he got started.
when the door opened to the dance studio again, seungcheol, hoshi, mingyu, and jeonghan were still working on the choreo together. but, there concentration was broken as soon as seungcheol heard your laugh. his head whipped around, confused and wondering if he was so delirious from exhaustion that he was now hallucinating your voice. he was pleasantly surprised when he saw you laughing as you pinched vernon’s cheeks as his eyes lit up at the food. (“y/n noona,” he simpered, hearts in his eyes as he grabbed a container labelled ‘bononie’.)
hoshi called for a break, excited to see you too. it seemed like suddenly, a room full of people were swarming you, saying ‘thank you noona’ or ‘thanks y/n’ to you. by the time he got to you, seungkwan was excitedly thanking you for bringing him his favorite iced americano -- even though it was decaf. (you wanted him to be able to sleep!)
seungcheol wrapped his arms around your waist and nuzzled his head into the crook of your head. immediately, one hand reached up to affectionately pat his cheek while the other squeezed his arm around your waist. it was so natural, the way your bodies responded to each other without even needing to talk.
“i missed you,” he mumbled into your skin.
you turned around, your eyes warmly gazing at him. your arms draped around the back of his neck while his own arms snaked around your waist again. (the boys were too busy digging in and talking to each other to mind the both of you flirting in front of them.) “aw, i missed you too, my cheollie. i brought your favorite from the kimbap place you like. there wasn’t anything else open this late, so i just stopped by the GS--” your words were cut off by a bunch of kisses around your face, causing you to burst into a fit of giggles.
“i love you,” he said before he leant in to give you a proper kiss.
before your lips met, jeonghan screamed, “YAH! take that outside. we have food in front of us.”
seungcheol pursed lips and closed his eyes, wondering what he was going to do about his friend. you, on the other hand, were still gracious. “did our jeonghannie get sick watching us?” you asked in a baby voice, making fun of him. “tsk, just enjoy your food.” you stuck your tongue out at him, making him laugh.
while the both of you sat down on the floor with the rest of the members, seungcheol opened his box that was labelled with his name. he even caught the order instructions stapled to the bag, where you asked for extra meat on his and to add a bunch of hearts to his name. god, just when he thought he couldn’t fall in love with you any more than this after being with you for so long!
he admired the way that you talked to the other members, making sure to hand them napkins if you noticed food around their mouths. he admired that you had gotten off a hard day of work and the first thing you did was take care of him and the people he cared about the most after you and his blood family -- his other family, seventeen.
when you first started dating, he was worried about them. he knew what it would be like based on other idols’ stories. you date one, you date the whole group. but, you didn’t mind it one bit. if anything, you were always excited to see the boys and were often more worried about them liking her than she was of liking them. whenever he asked you about it, you would say, “of course i love them. they’re your members.” the way you said it like it was so obvious and that any other answer was ridiculous still made butterflies swarm in his stomach.
feeling more in love by the second, seungcheol pulled you in close, so appreciative he had someone like you in his life. he had never met anything as kind, caring, and genuine as you. he made a mental note to order whatever he had loaded into his cart for you whenever he got home that night. oh, he was going to spoil you so hard. you deserved everything you ever wanted and more. yeah, he is so in love with you.

I hate you not ♡

Choi Seungchol × f. reader
|Arranged marriage/ forced marriage |
Genre: Angst, fluff, sort of enemies to lovers.
Summary:Married against their will, seungcheol and y/n end up hating each other.
PART 3
|Part 2 |Part 1 <MASTERLIST>
"Stop looking at me cheol your whipped is showing." You smiled mischievously looking down at your phone.
"Let it show then..you should know how enamored I'm by you.." seungcheol replied from where he was sitting opposite to you in the living room.
He just keeps making you flustered every chance he gets.
"Oh enamored??such heavy words?? Are you trying to impress me Mr.?" You ask looking up,raising your brows at him.
While you get up and make your way to the kitchen. He follows you.
"Just telling the truth my Mrs. If you're getting impressed then may be your whipped is showing too." He says holding your hand, wiggling his eyebrows at you.
Just something about him, the words he uses, the way he says it to you, does something to you. that guy knows how to flirt. You shake your head to fight off the blooming blush on your cheeks.
"You've to do more than that to impress me Mr." You say scrunching your nose, looking back at him, removing his hand from your wrist.
"Really?? I'm ready but" ...he's crowding you to the counter, you walk back as he keeps coming closer .."seems pretty easy the way you're turning into a tomato." He says with a teasing smirk, hands caging you between the counter and him.
You know you're pretty easy to read especially when he makes you all flustered and a blushing mess like this. So you huff, pushing him at his chest, avoiding eye contact and brushing past him to the other side of counter. "That is different, that is not impressing me. If this is it then sorry you get a zero from me." You say shrugging. Collecting the ingredients you need to cook lunch.
"Will you go on a date with me?"
You almost drop the pot in your hands, eyes turning wide and your heart stopping.
"I- what-that - did you just ask that because of what I Said?"
"No I've been thinking about it for a while now...I want to take you out on dates.."
"Ohh"
"Yeah..so??" He asks nibbling his lower lip.
"So? " You're still kind of loading.
"I just asked you out on a date..say something?" He asks. His face looking so pale with the dread he's feeling because what if you say no, are you going to say no to him now? What if-
Your voice cuts his train of thoughts.
You come back to your senses,
"Oh um I'll think about it " You're just messing with him, but he thinks you're serious.
"Oh...okay" He says his puppy eyes shrinking in size. And now you feel bad.
You walk towards him taking his face in both of your hands ,you laugh "Hey I'm kidding ..yes I'll go on a date with you ..you sulky puppy"
He covers one of your hand with his own "I'm not a puppy" He says
"But you look like one right now ..so cutee" You say in a baby voice squeezing his face in your hands.
"Stoppp" He says through his puckered lips, with a laugh.
He removes your hands from his cheeks, pulling you in with his hands on both sides of your waist. The feeling was so warm and intimate that you felt your insides melting.
"You think I'm cute?" He asks with a smile, raising his brows.
You nod hooking your arms around his neck,"you are"
"I think you're cuter" He says leaning down, brushing his nose with yours.
You let out a giggle"it tickles" and he does it more shifting to your cheeks now, until you push him away with your hands on his chest. "Stoppp"...You say still laughing.
"I came here to cook something for us, let me do my work don't try to distract me now." You say firmly to which he quickly replies.."Let me help you then."
"I don't think you've cooked anything in your entire life."
"Woah woah are you challenging me now?"
"I'm not, just go sit there, you're going to wash dishes anyway."
"I can still do both-" he stops when he sees you glaring at him.
"Ok fine I'll sit" He says raising his hands in front of him in surrender. He sighs sitting down. A pout on his face, face between his hands where he's resting them on the table. He keeps looking at you throughout the half an hour of your cooking.
As soon as you're done, you go to him. Sitting on his lap, he's quick to hide his surprise and holds you by your waist stroking it. He kisses your cheek. "Are you tired baby ?" He asks still stroking your waist. "No but I'm hungry, we can eat after 5 minutes, the stew is boiling." You say putting your head on his shoulder. "Okay"
You're done eating when he takes you to a room. "Woahh why the hell I didn't know this, we literally have a mini theater room."You say looking around in awe.

He chuckles, "I'm sorry it's my fault for not giving you a house tour after our marriage" "Do you like it?"
"Yes I like it. But do you even use this room?"
"Only when my friends used to hangout here." "Come on let's sit, you choose a movie." He says pulling you with him to sit on the huge fluffy couch. His hand is over your shoulder, keeping you to himself.
You're scrolling through the movies, you sigh and hand him the remote. "I don't know what to choose you do it, I don't actually watch much movies."
He chuckles,"okay let's see."
He selects a movie and plays it. "Oh wait..the snacks" He says getting up going to the little shelf. He brings back few snacks and cold drinks from the mini fridge. "Woah you have everything in here." You say teasing him. He just laughs,"I do I just like everything to be perfect."
You both watch the movie. He pulls a soft blanket over both of you. You get so much invested in the movie and he finds you so adorable when you ask him questions in between. He keeps stealing glances at you and smiling to himself. 'Oh I really am so whipped.' He says to himself shaking his head. You let out a giggle and for a second he thinks That he said it out loud.
But you are laughing at some scene in the movie. You put your head on his shoulder snuggling up to him. And he has this urge to just forget about the movie and pull you up to kiss you senseless. But he's controlling himself not wanting to ruin your fun.
You huff and turn towards him,"You have already watched this movie haven't you? " you narrow your eyes at him.
"No pretty I didn't, I just heard about it from my friends." He says squeezing your hand, taking it to his lips placing a sweet kiss there.
"Then why are you not watching it? Why am I watching it alone, you don't seem interested." You say with a slight frown, pouting at him.
"Because you're more interesting to me, I'm looking at you" He replies within a heartbeat. A sweet yet flirty smile on his lips as he tucks a hair strand behind your ear with his other hand, where he's leaning on the couch. His face merely inches away from yours.
You're searching for something to say but it won't come out. You just look at him, gaze turning from his one eye to another, heart hammering in your chest, cheeks burning. You end up just being speechless and turn your head to the screen. He chuckles and just keeps looking at you and you can't take it anymore, heart beating faster by the second, so you push his cheek to make him look at the screen. But he's quick to hold your hand instead and push you down on the couch gently, hovering over you. You let out a yelp. Scolding him "Cheol"
"Sorry baby. I just can't take it anymore ..do you have any idea how beautiful you are?" He says again removing a few stray hair strands from your eyes and stroking your cheek.
You relax beneath him. Melting under his warm gaze. Those doe eyes pull at your heartstrings in every way possible. You extend your hand slowly cupping the side of his face. "Well do you have any idea how pretty you are too my puppy?"
He blushes, you notice him biting his lower Lip, cheeks and ears getting red like cherry. "Yours? I'm yours?" He asks going even closer to you. "Hmm" You nod looping your arms around his waist, stroking his back, he's so warm and cozy you can't help it but crave being closer to him. "Yeah mine." You say, your voice a whisper you just want to pull him closer and capture his lips. The movie is forgotten by now, not even it's sound bothering you both because you're so lost in each other to even pay attention to it.
The air around you is thick with anticipation, both of your gazes holding desire in them. "I've wanted to kiss you the whole time but you seem to enjoy the movie a little too much-" You cut him off, "what if I told you I was just concentrating on the movie so I wouldn't get distracted by you, how I wanted you to kiss me too?"
Your breaths warm over each other's lips as you whisper those words. Not a word is exchanged after that because he wastes no time and just dives down to capture your lips within his. "Mhmm" he moans in delight after finally tasting your lips. He kisses you in such a way it leaves you chasing for his lips. there's a reason why you waited for him to kiss you this time, after the last night where you initiated it. You can tell he knows what he's doing, his moves powerful yet him holding you and handling you gently like something so so precious.
In no time he's got you gasping and softly moaning within the kiss too. He bites your lower lip, followed by the languid sucking making you gasp. You open your mouth for his teasing tongue to finally enter and claim you to be his. Your tongues fighting their sweet battle before he successfully dominates you,as if telling you to just rest and let him make you feel good.He tastes every corner of your mouth. Making you clutch his tshirt on his back, right hand coming to find its home in his hair grabbing and pulling at them gently, just enough so he would enjoy it. Your lips enveloping his lower lip and pulling it with a hum.
You both pull back, panting for air. Heavy breathes over each other lips,he crashes his forehead over yours gently. You stroke his hair, while he strokes your waist.
"You kiss like you're starving." You say between the sharp breathing, Letting out a chuckle.
He opens his eyes gazing into your own dazed ones. He also chuckles,"Yeah? Because I was..I was starving for you." He whispers stroking your cheek with one hand. Moving his head to kiss your cheeks to let you breathe in enough air before he captures your lips again. It's like he's saying something to you through the kiss, you feel his sincerity with how gentle he's being with you. You have a slow beautiful conversation throughout that kiss. "Careful there Mr.Choi".."or else I might think you're in love with me or something." You say after pulling back. Looking at him with a mischievous glint in your eyes. He notices it, and challenges you with his own "and if I am?" Eyebrows raised and all.
You giggle pushing him off, but he doesn't budge. "Shut up, you and your 'if I'm ' "
"No Mrs. Choi I'm pretty serious...what if I'm? I mean I might be we never know..it might not be just whipped..is it already love?" You giggle again, " shut up cheol you're not ..for all I know you might just be horny" You shrug, the mischievous glint back in your eyes.
He dramatically pulls back himself away from you. "Did you just say that????" His eyes round. "If you really think that then I'm never kissing you again." He says sitting back on the couch with a big pout on his face and you almost jump up to sit as soon as he says that. "NOOO-I was kidding you, I didn't think that." You say grabbing his hand resting it on his lap. "I don't know now I'm upset."
"Noo it's my fault I'm sorryyy.. seriously I was just kidding...look at me." You whine holding his face in your hand. Pressing kisses to his cheeks until he smiles and let's out a giggle. "I know you were kidding" He says pulling you on his lap.
You bicker back and forth until he says,
"Y/n?"
You reply with a "hmm?" While admiring his pretty face and tracing his eyebrows.
"What would you say if I ask you to move in with me in my room?" He asks he seems nervous as he tightens his hold on you ever so slightly. Eyes moving constantly searching for your reaction.
You would be lying if you said you didn't think about this, you've thought about it, like will he ask me that? When he will ask me what would happen.
"I- Are you asking?"You whisper.
He nods "I'm..but if you don't want to and if it's too soon I will not rush it take your time."
You think a little about it before saying,"I think 5th month in our marriage is definitely not too soon." You chuckle.
"Right? Thank god you think so too." He sighs in relief..."so you are saying yes?" He says taking your hand and kissing it.
"I'm..Don't make me regret it though. " You say playfully raising your eyebrows.
"Neverrrr ..so it's our room from now on let's goooo" He says excitedly, lifting you in his arms to go to the room.
You laugh "heyy atleast turn the movie off"
He turns it off, taking you to his room.
He puts you down on your feet after entering the room. "Do you like it? You can change anything if you don't like it." He says showing you the room.
"No it's beautiful." You say but he doesn't look convinced. "Even if you think that, please add your own touch to this room I want us to feel it that it's our room now." He says interlocking his fingers with yours.
"Well that's so sweet of you and I think you're right ..we should change few things and add a few colours" You say chuckling.
"Whatever you like princess just give me the order." He says kissing the back of your hand.
"I don't remember you being this romantic Mr. Choi" You say eyeing him playfully.. "Well I must admit Mrs. Choi..you've changed me." He says heaving a long dramatic sigh.
You giggle pushing at his chest, he laughs too.
"Okay I'll move your stuff here let's go I'll help you pack." And like that he's personally dragging you back to your previous room, doing all the work. First you take all the essentials you require daily, and when he takes you to his walk in closet, you see he has already made a space for your belongings, leaving exact half Part of the closet empty. You turn towards him and he has a sheepish smile on his space, his ears are red though.
"So You were that confident that I'd say yes to move in Huh?" You ask folding your hands infront of you.
"Well I was hopeful ...I didn't know what your answer would be," he said with a soft smile on his face, "but for me, you already are a very important part of my life. You made a space in my heart; it's nothing if I made a space for you in the closet." He said with a shrug as if it's nothing much but ask your heart what those words of him did it to you. He tugged at your heartstrings in all the best ways possible.
You shook your head trying to stifle the stupid smile on your face ..you don't know what to say.. so you just drop your belongings on the floor and hug him. Then you look up to him, your chin on his chest. You're not hiding the smile now. "You know I'm your wife".."mhmm you are" He says coming closer his lips hovering over yours(blame him for going crazy whenever you mention that you're HIS wife.)
"So like stop rizzing me up ..you already have me." You say pushing him back with a chuckle. "Oh ?"He raises his eyebrows and chuckles "But I wasn't rizzing you up it is what it is sweetheart" He says catching your hand.
You hang your clothes and keep everything in it's place. He tells you he'll have the rest of your stuff moved here within tomorrow.
"You want to take a nap baby? "
You yawn,"I think yes I'll have to."
He tucks you in the bed, pulling the comforter over you, adjusting the ac temperature for you. You expected him to take a nap with you but he says he has some work to do, he gets beside you stroking your head with one hand and kissing your forehead. His laptop in his other hand.
You wake up after two hours, cheol is nowhere to be seen. You sit up on the bed still processing from your nap when cheol enters the room. He smiles after he sees you. "hey..slept well angel?" You nod at him eyes still not focused. He chuckles coming closer removing the hair from your face. "You are the cutest" He says placing a loud peck on your cheek. You smile nuzzling closer to his body where he's standing by the bed.
"Gotta get up bub." He says swaying you gently to wake you up. "Why?" You say with a hoarse voice. "I'll tell you after you freshen up..go" He says motioning you towards the washroom. You narrow your eyes at him but get up and go the washroom.
After you wash your face and get rid of the sleepiness you come back to him, he holds out a glass of water for you. You smile at him," Thank you. Now tell me..are we going somewhere? " You say While sipping the water.
"Yepp!! I'm taking you out for dinner so we have to get ready." He says.
"Is this the date you talked about?" You ask with starry eyes, your heart speeding up.
"It is" He nods lower lip trapped between his teeth. "Ok I'll get ready" You say excitedly going to the walk in closet.
He's nervous to say the least, but your voice cuts his thoughts off. "Cheol?" You say from the door of the closet. "Uh? Yeah sweetheart?"
"You can take your clothes so it'll save us some time..or I can go to the other room?"
"Why would you go to the other room, this is your room now" He says frowning as if you've offended him. "I'll take my clothes..I'll get ready here." He walks to take his clothes and narrows his eyes saying,"don't come out okay? " You huff, "As if I'll..shut up and go" You chuckle making him giggle.
There's even a dressing table in the closet, where you've put your make up bag. So you get ready inside itself. A white bodycon dress hugging your curves perfectly, a few accessories, wine red lips, light makeup and you're done.
"Cheol...are you done? Can I come out? " You ask him from inside when you're done getting ready.
"Yes you can." He has been ready for half an hour now but he won't say it, cause you can take how much time you want and he'll wait for you.
He's awestruck when you come out the walk in closet. "God, babe you look gorgeous." He says scanning you from head to toe.
"Thank you"you say placing your hand on your chest, light blush blooming on your face. "You don't look bad yourself." You say scanning him too. He's looking fuvking hot in his all black outfit. Your wedding ring shining on his finger, the golden rolex on his wrist. His cologne invading your senses. He's just ..perfect.
"That's all you're going to say?" He pouts coming closer to you holding you by your waist.
"Do you have something in mind that I should say?" You ask back raising your eyebrows, putting your hands on his chest.
He takes your left hand from his chest, kissing your palm or rather the shining wedding band on your finger.
"Yeah..shouldn't you say I look handsome?"
Well he does so why would you deny that.."You look handsome cheol." You say with a gentle smile kissing his cheek. He swears his heart stops beating. How did he get a stunning woman like you as his wife.
He says it's a surprise so he doesn't tell you where he's taking you. You're confused when he pulls up at the beach. You take the hand he offers you after he opens your side of door.
You're walking with hands intertwined when you ask .."You said we're going for dinner why are we-" You let out a gasp when you notice why he took you here.
He has planned a beach side dinner date, the place is decorated so beautifully with the candles and curtains, fairy lights. In between there's a table filled with food.
"Cheol- you just asked me out this morning how did you manage to do all this " You say looking around "and wait Why's the whole beach empty?" You ask your eyebrows furrowed. He's proud and satisfied by your reaction. The sheepish smile on his face tells it all.
"I've my ways sweetheart but forget about that ..tell me do you like it? " he asks nibbling his lips."I planned this because I noticed you like peaceful open places, with stars, moon and water and wind. And I figured this is more private and nicer than the restaurant."
"I- I love this cheol it's beautiful." You say still awestruck..cause this has to be the best date anybody has ever planned for you.
"Really? I'm glad you like it ..please sit." He says pulling a chair for you. You click a lot of pictures of the decoration, the dinner and the one who planned it. He gets shy so easily whenever you say something to make him smile for the picture. He clicks your pictures too. You walk around the beach hand in hand when you're done eating. You get to know more about each other, you joke around and tease each other making each other giggle and laugh.
This date turned out a lot sweeter than you thought.
Under the stars, surrounded by the nature and your favourite things along with the person who has become your favourite now. You're happy, you're so so happy and grateful, the marriage you thought was your hell doesn't seem like it anymore.
The person you thought you hated turned out to be the sweetest person ever who was just hurt behind the mask of his supposed hatred.
There never was any hate afterall you think ..and the love is blooming he thinks ...all while looking at each other, admiring and thinking all this. You shake your head with smile, he smile backs too.
"Oh I remembered what's missing" He says suddenly turning to you making you confused.
"What?" You ask. And he smiles sheepishly taking each step closer towards you, holding you by your neck, pulling you closer by your waist.
"This-" He whispers over your lips before capturing them in a sweet kiss. Under the night sky filled with the countless stars, among the sweet rustle of the wind and the sound of the gentle waves crashing. He doesn't just call you princess but makes sure to make you feel like it too, you think.
When you reach home and get changed. You're nervous. It's the first time you'll be sharing a room together, sharing the same bed. That means sleeping together. It's like feeling nervous for your first night but in your case after nearly 5 months of the marriage. He let's you take a shower before him. You're wearing oversized tshirt and shorts , him wearing sweatpants and a white tshirt.
"Cheol ..it's a little funny to me." You say peeking from the blanket. He's drying his hair with a towel. "What baby?" He asks, he's nervous too. "We are husband and wife..but we're going to share the bed for the first time after 5 months of our marriage."
"Well ..it's a little sad too baby ..I'm sorry I didn't take care of you as I should have before." He says sitting on the bed.
"Hey now ..don't get sad, if we think about it our story is much more interesting."
He chuckles,"you think so?"
You nod,"Yeah, like we fought so much after marriage only. Normal people get all lovey dovey and then after a few months or a year they'll start with the fights and all ..we've done all of that ..guess what's remaining now?"
"Our wedding night?" He says after getting beside you on the bed.
Your eyes go wide, you let out a surprised laugh, pushing at his shoulder "Nooo you pervert,I meant only happiness ..because we have already seen each other's worst, have already fought alot ." You say shrugging.
He chuckles at your reaction.," Well that's a beautiful way of putting it like that ..I think we are going to have a lot of fun." He says coming closer pulling you to himself by your waist with a mischievous smile on his face. Then he kisses you all over your face before finally kissing your lips. He sighs in the kiss."You looked really really beautiful tonight." He says placing the last peck over your lips. You smile softly at him. "And that was the best date I've ever had cheol you were perfect." You say stroking his cheeks over his dimples. "That was the goal actually, I'm really glad you loved it.. I'll make sure the next one would be even better than this." He says returning your soft smile. You bury your face in his neck. His warmth making you close your eyes instantly with the exhausting day you've had. "Good night baby" He whispers kissing your head.
A/N: Hey pretty people..I really hope you like this I've been writing this since weeks. I hope I didn't disappoint y'all. Please let me know your thoughts. THE SUNSET
Pairing: Seungcheol x f!reader
Genre: fluff, romance, strangers to lovers, summer romance
Sumarry: you met out of nowhere on vacation
Part three (last one)
You let out a soft giggle like sound once his soft and plumpy lips touched your hand that was a bit rough because you touched sand earlier
"Maybe we could go to my beach house?" He pulled his lips away from your hand and looked at you with his still sparkling eyes
You nodded "sure." And replied very softly - your voice was almost not hearable to him but he still got it that you wanted to go with him and you both left the place you were at
It was very strange how you met... he just asked you if he could take some photos of you just because he was pleased by your beauty. such a nice compliment, isnt it? From a handsome man like this. No one could expect you would meet like that... wow.
After about... 30 minutes? You dont clearly remember because once you started to talk and joke around the time just stopped.
You both were drinking lemonade that he made earlier, it was so cold your brain was freezing everytime you took a sip from it. He laughed at you everytime you made the silly face when you took a sip
You both spend so much time togheter it was already dark outside. When you told him you should go he... dissagree? Yeah, he did and very much.
Once you tried to leave he just just took your wrist and pulled you on the couch the two of you were sitting earlier and looked into your eyes "you are staying here."
You were a bit shoked by his words but you couldn't argue with him. Just nodded.
Ending up sleeping on his bed in the beach house and him sleeping on the couch? You didnt expect that much. But you wanted him right next to yourself. You just stood up and went to the livingroom where he was, sleeping quietly.
Without making any sound you just lay down next to him and cuddled up to him.

Meri Chaand 🌙

SYNOPSIS. This was their first karwachauth after their arranged marriage
PAIRING. husband!choi seungcheol x female reader
GENRE. fluff, established relationship
WARNINGS. Mention of fasting, a kiss, terms of endearment
WORD COUNT. 3.2K
AUTHOR’S NOTE. Can’t believe I am back with this, this was in my drafts for toooo long and finally posting this, well while proofreading I almost couldn’t believe that it was me who wrote this and Seungcheol after all. But here it is, hope you all like this Happy reading :)
TAG. @thepoopdokyeomtouched @aestheticfangirl
I woke up as soon as I heard my alarm, I felt Seungcheol stir in his sleep. I didn’t want to wake him up, I wanted to be as quiet as possible. Somewhere I didn’t want to tell him about any of this, because I didn’t know if he believed this tradition or not.
I woke up quietly and walked towards the walk-in closet, and after choosing my clothes I went to take a shower. I relaxed as soon the warm water hit my body, all the memories, flood in from yesterday. “Do you have work tomorrow?” I nodded, “but it’s work from home. I have to attend a few meetings that’s it”
“Oh, I thought you had an off day” I looked at him, I wanted him to say because it felt like I was forgetting something but then I wanted to hear it from him. “It’s karwachauth tomorrow so I thought…” he trailed off, and then it clicked in my mind, maa told me about this today morning before I left for work and even told me about the sargi. I don’t even know if he believes this or not. “Oh, no we don’t have off because of karwachauth” he nodded. “All good then and you can tell maa if- his words were cut off because of a call he received. I was getting sleepy either way, I didn’t wait for him when he walked out of the room to talk.
I don’t believe in all these traditions and saw my mom doing everything every year, till last year but there was something inside me, where I wanted to keep the fast.
I got ready and went downstairs, I saw maa already setting the sargi, “Nishita?” I smiled at her, I took her blessings but she held my shoulders and hugged me. “Are you sure?” I nodded, “Here’s your sargi,” She asked me yesterday about the fast and I agreed.
“Eat this before the sunrise.” I nodded. I was about to go towards the room but then the thought of Seungcheol getting disturbed and then asking me so many things, hit me so I didn’t go to my room. “Can I eat it here in the living room?”
“You don’t want to go back to your room?” I shook my head, “Seungcheol is sleeping and I don’t want to disturb him. He came late and then I don’t know when he came to sleep after he received a call at 11:30 pm yesterday.” She held my cheeks and smiled, “You care for him so much Nishita” I smiled at her. “Everyone deserves some rest and I have work from home today so it’s fine for me, but he should get enough rest” She kissed my forehead, “He is lucky” I smiled.
I ate my sargi and once I was done, I went to keep the plates in the sink. Despite our arranged marriage, I always wondered how would things turn out after marriage, he gave me the personal space whenever I needed, and he never forced me into anything, things were changing, it’s been nine months after our marriage already, and for me, things were slowly changing. The care he showed even without asking me was something that always got me. And the least I could do for him was to fulfil the traditions I should do as his wife.
I looked outside and it was already sunrise, and I looked at the clock, it read 6:33 am
I went back to my room, well aware of Seungcheol’s alarm of 7:00 am. He usually works out in the morning for like one hour, so it’s his time to get up. I went to take out my laptop, to check everything for the meeting I had to attend. I was holding my Mac and walked towards the bed, and I was surprised to see Seungcheol awake, “Nishi?”
“Seungcheol?”
“You’re already awake?” I nodded at his words. His eyes went to the laptop I was holding, “do you have a meeting now?”
“No, but I need to check a few things before the meeting because I would be talking to the client mainly.” Another reason was to distract myself today and I wanted to ask him why was he awake, since it wasn’t even 7 am yet. He looked lost, and we were just looking at each other, more like staring at each other.
“Subah ho gai?” I nodded
“Umm, good morning” I looked at him and replied, “Good morning” We didn’t do this usually, what’s gotten into him?
“I will go get ready.” I nodded and kept my Mac on the night table. Once he went towards the closet, I fixed the bedsheets and went to sit on the bed with my Mac.
I saw him walking back with his sweatshirt on, I looked at him, “I am going for workout” I nodded at him. I was checking files, then it hit me. It was already 7 am and I had to make breakfast.
I closed my Mac and went downstairs, I saw maa already inside the kitchen, “You’re here?” she looked at me, “Yes, how could I not help you in making breakfast?”
“But you don’t have to do a lot of work today because in the evening we have to do the preparations. So don’t stress too much and you’ve two meetings today.”
“It’s fine maa, and making breakfast is a daily thing, why an exception today?” she looked at me and smiled, “You’re just so beautiful”
“what were you planning to make today?” I asked her, and I went to wash my hands, “something Seungcheol likes” I turned my head to her, “something he likes?” she nodded, “do you want to cook something else?” I shook my head, “he likes Sabudana Khichdi aur Rawa Uttapam” She smiled at me, “Let’s make both and Sangyeon wanted to eat Sabudana ki kichadi yesterday, so I soaked Sabudana overnight, already” I saw, the bowl and went to drain it, “you can cut the vegetables for uttapam, I will do this.” She nodded and once drained, I dry-roasted peanuts, I personally didn’t like peanuts but he did.
Once done, I started making it carefully, and to my surprise, today it turned out nicely; I looked over maa, and noticed she was almost done with the chopping and preparations for rava uttapam. “Maa, let me do this”
“You already made Sabudana” I looked at her, “it’s fine. You can go and check up on others, I can do this. I don’t have any work right now as well” She gave up after I insisted, for some unknown reason I wanted to make breakfast today maybe because I was very relaxed and had no work or I was just bored.
It didn’t take a lot of time to cook for everyone, I was almost done and then I heard maa “Go and call Seungcheol, it’s breakfast time” I kept everything and nodded at her. “I will set the table for everyone.”
I went to our room and I saw Seungcheol buttoning his white shirt, I shook my head and sighed. Doesn’t matter how many times I told him not to walk like this, infront of him but he is like ‘It’s my house, I can walk however I want, I can be naked anytime I want’
His strong scent filled the whole room, I walked towards him, “Breakfast’s ready, maa is calling” Once he was done with his shirt, he took out the tie. He looked at me, “help me?” I sighed and took the tie. Despite his height I managed to help him with his tie, unknowingly today I noticed, we were standing way too close, his breaths were hitting my collarbone which was making it difficult for me to focus on his tie.
“And you’re done” I took a step back and almost stumbled back, but he was quick to hold my waist and pull me closer, “Be careful Nishi” his voice was deeper than usual, the moment he let go of my waist, I let out the breath I was holding.
“Let’s go for breakfast, it’s almost time.”
“I have to leave, I have a meeting” I turned to look at him, “meeting?”
“Yes, I was supposed to tell you yesterday but when I came back to room, you were asleep.”
“But I made your favorite...sabudana” I almost whispered the last word.
“I’m sorry, I’ve to leave” He went out of the room and I followed him, almost disappointed but then I understand, him being the CEO and doing everything. I knew he had work but skipping breakfast? It’s something he never did and rather always tells everyone else that they shouldn’t skip their breakfast.
“Seungcheol” both of us turned to look at maa, “aa jao khane, Nishita ne pyaar se banaya hai aaj”
“Aaj nehi maa, meeting hai.”
“Lekin, Nishi ne bahut pyaar se banaya hai”
“Maa, it’s okay.” He turned to look at me, he had apologetic eyes.
“I’m sorry” I shook my head and gave him a tight smile, “it’s okay, I get it.” Whereas this was the first time he was skipping breakfast.
He went out in a hurry and I looked at Sangyeon and papa, enjoying breakfast. Sangyeon was almost taken aback when maa informed that I was fasting today.
*****
After I was done with the meetings, I looked at the time, it was already evening. I was getting sleepy and tired, I heard a knock on the door. “Are you done for the day?” I looked at maa, walking towards the bed where I was sitting. I nodded, “all done”
“Good, everything’s almost done, I wanted to inform you that, there’s a ritual which is followed in our house, which is you have to wear your wedding saree today.” I nodded, “okay I will get ready”
“Once you’re ready come downstairs.” I nodded.
I looked at the time, it was already 6 pm which meant Seungcheol should have come by now. I shrugged off the thoughts and went towards the walk-in closet, to check my wedding saree.
After searching a bit, I found my saree. I took everything out and went to change. After changing into the saree and fixing everything perfectly, I looked in the mirror and started getting ready. I wore my kajal and eyeliner. I applied liptint and once I was done with my hair, I looked at myself and smiled. I picked up my earrings and wore it. Somewhere my mind was stuck with Seungcheol, why was he late? Would he make it today when the moon will come out? Did he believe in this?
I was skeptical about everything, and him leaving early today, and missing breakfast was something I never thought I would witness. I knew the meaning of the fast, it was for his wellbeing, and it didn’t matter if he believed it or not but I was unsure myself…now
I tried to smile looking at the mirror.
I was ready, so I went downstairs and there I saw the way everything was kept and decorated; “Nishita, come here” I went to sit beside maa, we had to decorate the kalash and other things, once everything was done and kept in the thali, we had to go to the terrace
The moment I stepped on the terrace, I was getting anxious, because there was no sign of him yet.
**********
SEUNGCHEOL
I looked at the time, didn’t matter how much I wanted to have coffee, I resisted eating or drinking anything today.
I don’t know if Nishi believed in all these traditions but I wanted to keep the fast for her; I didn’t believe in these until she came to my life. There was something about her which always told me to believe everything, let it be god, fate or destiny.
I felt at my worst when I told her I wouldn’t be having my breakfast, knowing she made my favourite and the disappointment on her face was visible. The whole day she was stuck in my mind, I knew how much karwachauth meant for my mother, I always admired her for all these; not knowing I would be doing this one day for my own wife.
woh vrat nehi rakhegi toh mai rakhlunga, that’s what I told myself.
Once I was done with all the meetings and everything, I walked down to the basement to drive back home. I looked at the time, hoping I wasn’t very late.
The moment I reached home, I saw no one downstairs, were they on the terrace already? I came across Sangyeon who was already wearing a kurta, “where’s Nishi?”
“Bhabi?” he looked at me, “She’s with maa on the terrace. You should go and wait for the moon, it’s almost late bhai, what were you even doing this late” he walked past me.
I went to our room and saw, my kurta set on the bed, “did Nishi take these out for me?” I was about to call her but I remembered she wasn’t here, she was with maa.
I changed my clothes and got ready. I went to the walk-in closet and took out the payal I brought for Nishi, more or less this was our first karwachauth and how could I let it go like this?
I kept them inside my pocket and went upstairs.
The moment I reached the rooftop, I almost stopped my steps when I saw her turning around to look at me, she was wearing the saree that she wore at our wedding, I could never forget the look on her face.
Right now, she looked so pretty, with her half-braided hair, pretty earrings, pretty eyeliner, her golden chain, and her mangalsutra. The way she looked right now, I was ready to keep all the fasts for her, so that she could shine brightly like the moon in my dark days, I wanted to give her all the happiness she deserved, she didn’t deserve to shed a single tear in her life. And I was here to make sure she received all the happiness.
I walked towards her, almost in surprise; she was holding the thali which had everything.
Once I was standing infront of her, she gave me a tight smile, “I almost thought you would be very late”
“And here I thought you didn’t believe in any of these?”
“I didn’t believe in these but felt like you believed in this and I had faith in you” She almost whispered those three words which were enough for me to hear. “Chand dikh gaya” she hurriedly, put her pallu over her head, she looked so beautiful, just the way she looked that night, when we were getting married. Nothing could compare to how beautiful she looked.
She lit up the diya, then kept the diya on the sieve then while looking at the moon through the sieve she poured the water from the kalash. I watched her do everything and somewhere my heart wanted to capture the moment forever, the adoration and dedication in her eyes told me something else. She kept the empty kalash on the other side and then turned to look at me through the sieve. I was looking at her through the sieve, and I was lost in her eyes.
Her eyes always pulled me closer to her, there was always something in her that pulled me closer and made me fall in love with her, they say marriages always happen if there’s love but then how would anyone explain this? I fell for her the moment I saw her in saree at our wedding. The way she looked at me told me, already that I fell for her. The admiration on her face was nothing compared to billions of diamonds. She was the most precious diamond I ever had.
She gave me a smile through the sieve and she was about to keep the sieve on the other side but before she could do that, I held the sieve and looked at her, she was taken aback.
“Seungcheol?” I smiled at her
“I found my moon.” She was surprised, I could say she never thought I would do this.
“fast rakhe ho?” I didn’t reply to her and I heard my mother, “Tu manta bhi nehi tha yeh sab, aur aaj kya hua?”
“Chand mili hai mujhe apni, toh itna karna toh banta hai na agar isko hamesha apne paas rakhna hai aur aise hi chamakta hua dekhna hai toh? Meri chaand itna toh deserve karti hi hai maa” She looked lost. I couldn’t tell if she was surprised, or was overwhelmed, or taken aback.
Once done, I took out the diya from the sieve and kept it on the thali, and the sieve on the table. After that, she did the arti, and I was smiling throughout the time, she looked so beautiful even with the light of the flame. I took the kalash from the thali and I helped her drink the water and broke her fast.
“Ab meri baari jaan” that last word just slipped out of my mouth unknowingly and I was almost flustered, but nothing compared to how flustered she looked.
“Seungcheol?”
“Vrat Rakha hai, paani pilaogi tabhi tutega” she smiled at me and helped me drink the water.
She held the thali and fixed the pallu, and before she could bend down and touch my feet, I bent down and touched her feet. She was taken aback, well I have seen my mother do this to my father but here I wanted Nishi to give another place in my life.
I took the gulab jamun from the thali and gave her a bite, she took it from me and gave me a bite.
“Now one more thing, you deserve” She looked at me confused, “Ab kya baaki hai?”
“Fast bhi rakh liya mere liye, aur kya chahiye mujhe?” I bend down and patted my thighs, “Kya?”
I took out the box and showed her the payal, “Aaj hamara pehela karwachauth hai, toh yeh meri taraf se, ek chota sa taufa” she extended her leg and kept the feet on my thigh, I didn’t care if everyone in our family saw us, this was supposed to be our moment but couldn’t help if this because the public display of affection.
Once I put the payal around both her feet, I kissed her feet lightly. I got up, “thankyou so much” The urge to kiss her was getting high.
My hands cupped her cheeks, “pata hai kitni pyaari lag rahi ho aaj” she smiled at me.
She smiled at me and stole my heart again.
“Aise smile na kiya karo, jaan leni hai kya meri?” this was the first time I was this open with myself and my feelings, my feelings were taking over me.
“Maine kuch bhi- before she could complete her sentence, I kissed her.
I closed my eyes, and pulled her closer. Her lips tasted sweet because of gulab jamun, but I didn’t mind, I liked the taste of the kiss and her lips. I pulled back lightly and looked at her, before she could say anything, I kissed her again, “I love you” I said in between our kiss, “this is probably the first time I confessed and I mean it”

✰ Choi Seungcheol (S.Coups) x Yoon Jeonghan
Summary :
Seungcheol was perfect. A little too perfect in Jeonghan’s opinion.
It was intoxicating. He knew it all. And he knew exactly what to do at what point of time.
It was all to good to be true. Jeonghan should’ve known such men only exist in dreams for a reason.

love languages — seventeen
seventeen’s ( soonyoung, jun & seungcheol ) love languages : pairing soonyoung, jun, and seungcheol x idol!reader genre fluff, romance, blurb(?) cw non idol au, gn!reader, lowercase on purpose ( archive )
choi seungcheol ( 최승철 )
his love languages are acts of service and giving gifts. cheol is the type of boyfriend to do everything for you guys. he’ll wash the dishes after dinner, do the laundry while you fold it, etc! he is the type to run errands for you just so you don’t have to do them "૮₍ •⤙•˶ actually so sweet though because he’ll listen to you, telling him about how you saw this cute necklace while coming home from work and he’ll listen, smiling the whole time and the next morning he’s already making plans to go buy it for you <33
moon junhwi ( 문준휘 )
acts of service. he notices the little things. jun sees your car is a little dirty? he’ll wash it for you! you forgot a few ingredients for dinner? he’ll rush to the store for them. honestly he’s just happy he can be of help to you. as long as at the end of the day everything got done and you weren’t stressed doing it by yourself, he’s beaming with joy! but just know he appreciates ( and wants ) a thank you and kiss on the cheek for helping so much ><!!
kwon soonyoung ( 권순영 )
words of affirmation and quality time. soonyoung expresses his love in so many ways to you, but these are the two main ways. he loves spending time with you.. like so much. there is definitely a memory with the two of you going on a walk in winter just hand in hand talking about how your day was and your future together. that quality time together plays into the words of affirmation. while listening to how your day was and smiling at the good, the bad parts of your day where you’re beating yourself up leads him to giving you words of affirmation. he stops walking and holds your face while telling him how proud he is of you before pecking your lips, his adorable smiley eyes appearing :((

PROLOGUE
☼ Night 22, Before Daylight
⚲ Siargao, PH
When your perfectly planned life hits rock bottom, there's only one way: up. And what better launching pad than a sun-drenched island where inhibitions melt faster than ice in piña coladas?
Here, you can claw your way back while letting loose, one reckless thrill at a time. Nothing's off-limits—freedom, fun, finding yourself.
But let’s be clear: I’m not here to find myself—fuck that cliche.
I know exactly who I am. And this trip is about reclaiming her.
The Jia Lee who danced on tables, kissed strangers, and never apologized for wanting it all.
The girl who lived on her own damn terms, before she wrapped her whole world around her dream guy named Shawn...who turned into a cheating nightmare.
Which leads me here, one week into Siargao Island, already partying my ass off to forget all that shit.
But this nausea from last night’s drinks was a different kind of torture.
A splitting headache dragged me into consciousness at ass o'clock, yet underneath was this weird calm. Like I’d been resurrected as some sort of a goddess—Aphrodite with a killer hangover, wrapped in a...wait, what am I wearing?
My hands ran over unfamiliar fabric—thick but breathable, with long sleeves exceeding my fingers.
This is definitely not my sundress.
Hold up.
Consciousness kicked in, and I realized I was swaddled in a polo shirt beside the Adonis—I mean, Matthew, the island’s finest gift to my broken heart. The guy with the perfect undercut and a body molded from Olympus. The gargantuan basketball player I'd been hooking up with since I arrived here. The perfect rebound.
I could feel the warmth of Matthew’s back brushing against my left arm, and…and…oh, no.
No. No. No.
Did we fuck, drunk?!
Mental note: Where’s that Hookup Handbook from your eighteen-year-old self? Rule #3: never do it drunk!
Come on, younger Jia would’ve handled this better. At twenty two, this is tragic. This isn’t how I roll, not even in my wildest, post-breakup liberation phase.
But panic's off the menu when your body feels like it's been hit by a truck. Best to wake him up and suggest a graceful exit.
“Matthew, wake up. I told you we can’t do it while drunk—”
I turned my head sideways to face him and what I saw gave me a rush of goosebumps.
That doesn’t look like Matthew’s back.
He was not Matthew at all.
Who.
The.
Actual.
Fuck?!
Breathe, Jia. No one's dead, you're not in a ditch, and this guy looks about as dangerous as a sleepy labrador.
Next step: check who's the lucky guy.
I inched closer, catching a whiff of his scent—a little fruity with a hint of smoke, like some fancy mix of berries and tobacco. That perfume must be expensive as hell. Did I fuck a son of a politician?
I squinted my eyes, checking out this person who looked like a Renaissance painting while sleeping.
His hair, shiny and raven, could give the night sky a run for its money.
Skin so pale, it made the white sheet and pillowcases look dirty.
And is that an olive tree tattoo sprawled across his lower nape? It’s got the branches, roots, and all the deets. Yeah, that’s not your average bad decision tattoo.
You're already a work of art, Sir. Not bad, Jia. Not bad at all.
I'm also seeing some junk in the trunk. This guy’s squats and deadlifts are definitely paying off and—okay, stop checking out his ass. Moving on.
The half-naked, half-asleep masterpiece slowly turned until his face finally met mine.
I braced myself for the moment of truth.
What the h—
“Skyler?!” I slapped a hand over my mouth.
Let me take back all the things I said earlier.
Why the fuck, of all people?! This was supposed to be Matthew—the Summit Strikers Basketball Team’s tall, dark, and delicious center, and not their obnoxious, brooding captain, Skyler.
Great job, Jia. Go big or go home, right?
His doe eyes finally fluttered open, focusing on me, and suddenly, I'm hyper-aware of how close we are. I could count his eyelashes if I wanted to. Seriously, universe? You're gonna give this guy super long lashes while I'm here with glued falsies?
“You’re awake,” he grimaced, his breath fanning against my nose.
“Obviously,” I sat up, ignoring how his morning voice felt like a shot of espresso—scalding, bitter, and way too intense for this early.
I glanced down on the Ralph Lauren polo shirt I was wearing. Skyler’s shirt. Did we…did we cross a line last night?! The mere thought sent a blush flaming across my cheeks.
“Before you freak out, nothing happened,” he swung off the bed, his back muscles rippling under the mood lights I forgot to turn off.
“You wish,” I hissed back.
“I’d appreciate a thank you, Skyler . You’re right when you told me that captain’s duties don't stop even off the court, but this isn’t part of it,” he side-eyed me before going to the bathroom, scouring for something to cover his bare upper body.
“Yeah, right, yapper. Thanks?” I got up, took a fresh rolled towel from my cabinet. I aimed to throw it at his face, but of course, without even glancing, he caught it mid-air. Typical baller reflexes.
He washed his face really quick, dried it with the towel, and draped it over those rocky shoulders.
Finally, some decency.
“So…” I retreated to my bed, pulling the blanket over my legs. “How did you end up here again?”
“Because someone got too reckless. And it’s not from my team. Guess who.”
“Come on. I'm in your clothes, clearly something happened.”
“If you can’t remember then you shouldn’t be out there drinking irresponsibly. And don’t try matching my alcohol tolerance.”
Okay, it is fucking on.
“Fine. Thank you very much for your babysitting service.” I huffed. “But you have no idea why I did what I did.”
“Actually, I do,” his chin tilted up slightly. “No one else was coherent around you, so you grabbed onto me—”
“Okay, shut up now! I know. I remember bits.”
“There she is. So, you do remember things, even when drunk. Some special talent, huh?” That triangle, upturned smile appeared. Funny.
My temples protested every thought. “All the Strikers were at the Rooftop. You had to herd their drunk asses back, last was Matthew.”
Yeah. Skyler, at maybe five-foot-ten, just casually herded twelve wasted basketball players, including a six-foot-three Matthew, across the bar. I can’t imagine.
“Right, big guy drank himself under the table. By the time I got back, you were also dead. See, that’s what I’m talking about. If you can’t handle yourself—”
“I know. Stop lecturing. My legs just…they stopped working, alright?” I sank deeper into the bed, annoyed. And embarrassed.
“Whole bottle of Bacardi tends to do that,” he said, bluntly.
Which leads to my main concern…
“Is that why I’m not in my dress? Did I throw up—”
“You did. In the hallway.” He adjusted his towel, reminding me why he was still half-naked. My fault.
“Fuck. I’m sorry.” I whispered, burying my face in my hands. This was beyond salvaging.
Fine, he’s got a point. I shouldn’t have been irresponsible last night.
Was it my fault I trusted Matthew to look after me, only for him to also get wasted? Uh, yes. Definitely.
“Don’t mind,” he softened slightly. “You came through for the guys last night. Consider us even.”
His broad shoulders squared up like he was about to deliver a game recap. “Which member do I start with? You calmed down a crying Henry with your tiger keychain—”
“Ah yes, my university mascot! I knew that overpriced merch would come in handy.”
“Then you saved Theo when he picked a fight with a barstool—”
“In his defense, that barstool was shifty.”
"—resurrected Vernon from dehydration. My point guard thinks Sprite counts as water." His lips did that triangle thing again. "Nice work with the electrolytes."
Damn, Drunk Jia, you overachieving bitch. That eldest daughter, ex-cheer captain energy really never shuts off, huh?
Skyler wasn’t responsible for me either. But here he is, playing shepherd to the girl he just met.
“Then we ended up here, in your room,” he exhaled.
“Because I…I asked you to stay.”
“Yes. And I stayed.”
He was all chill about all this, no judging or anything. For a moment, silence filled the space. He clenched his jaw, debating whether to speak.
Then, as if reminding himself of the conversation we'd had, he chuckled lightly. “You know, you were the real yapper last night. You kept talking about everything and nothing, even with your eyes closed. Non-stop. Then we both crashed.”
Shit. That memory hit. I'd asked him to stay until I fell asleep. And he actually did. Might not like him, but...give credit where it's due.
“Not before you told me the most unoriginal bedtime story,” I retorted, crossing my arms and leaning back against the headboard. “And you were so close to singing.”
For a brief moment, we were almost comfortable. “Anyway, your friends are probably looking for you. Feel free to get the fuck out.”
He took a step back, hands still in his pockets, but his eyes didn’t leave mine. His lips twitched like he was holding back a smirk.
“Before I go,” he pulled something shiny from his pocket.
Oh, gosh.
Were those...condoms?!
He started walking back towards me. My eyes darted between his impassive, deadpan face and those strawberry-flavored protection in his grip. The closer he got, the more fight or flight kicked in, but my body refused to move. I could see his biceps flex and his knees sink on the mattress as he bent down.
Then he lifted the foils on my face.
“Electrolytes. You gave your stash to Vernon. Stay hydrated.”
I exhaled. Sharply.
Fuck. Off. Skyler.
"What are you, a walking pharmacy?" I snatched them from his surprisingly soft hands. Maybe I was just used to Shawn's calloused grip. "Thanks. I'll get your shirt cleaned."
“No rush. You’re rocking my brand,” he got up from the bed. “And thanks, again, for keeping my guys in check last night. See you down at the beachfront.”
“Yeah, someone had to stop them from redecorating the bar floor,” I sat straighter. “See you around.”
Was that an invitation? And did I just say yes?
These electrolytes better work because suddenly I'm getting déjà vu—another perfectly composed guy with carefully chosen words.
Shawn.
The original alpha male blueprint. The swimmer who drowned in his own thoughts. The reason I impulsively jetted off to this island, hiding behind emotional walls.
So, Skyler, nice hero act, but these walls stay up. (But I'll keep the shirt. Might come in handy. Totally not because it smells comforting or anything.)

Fear
Capitulo 6: It turns out that the love i wanted to give you

Mirian riu, balançando a cabeça. "Ah, claro.
Seungkwan e Hoshi trocavam olhares cúmplices e risinhos abafados enquanto as gêmeas saboreavam o chá e petiscos no coreto do jardim.
“Concordo,” ele murmurou finalmente.
“Eu me rendo! Vocês duas são monstros de neve. Monstros, eu digo!”
“Estamos apenas aproveitando a tarde,” Liriel respondeu, erguendo o queixo desafiadoramente.
Seungcheol observava tudo, o maxilar tenso.
“A diversão acabou.”
A figura parou, erguendo lentamente a cabeça.
Liriel congelou no lugar.
A tensão no ar parecia quase palpável.

Trapped for Christmas {Seungcheol ff}

[This is all pure imagination people]. In this story we will see Lana's {Jeonghan's little sister} story and how her's and Seungcheol's relationship develops. Now a little warning.... this book is spicy in certain chapters, and I will mark them so if some people are uncomfortable with reading spicy stuff you can skip it. But remember, this book has a plot. I'm super [ see what I did there ;}] excited for you guys to read this book. I hope you love it. Plus a smutty Christmas novel.... uh yes, sign me up. Make sure to enjoy your stay. Also i know its May and its not close to Christmas. Love you lots Jelly thoughts.
"Hope you enjoy them." I smiled at Mrs Min, handing over the bag filled with her usual pastry order. I find it cute that she comes in every Tuesday and Friday to pick up pastries for her and her husband.
"Thank you dear."
Hearing the oven timer go off, I wiped my hands on my apron and headed for the back. I was instantly met with the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. You'd think after running the bakery everyday for almost a year, I'd grow tired of the smell of the freshly baked sweets, but no. It was probably the best smell in the entire world, no complaining on my side. I made quick work of pouring the white sugary icing on the hot, fresh out of the oven, cinnamon rolls, watching it melt and roll down the sides of the pastries. The icing is the best part of a cinnamon roll if were being honest here. which was why I made mine with extra icing.[Do you want one?]
Hearing the front door ding, I quickly grabbed the tray and headed back to the front of the store. With it just being me, I was doing double duty by baking and running the cash register along with greeting costumers. My gaze shifts to the door, immediately landing on the person walking in through the door. With a grin, I bearly have enough time to set the tray down before loud squeals of children meet my ears.
"Auntie Y/N!!"
Two cute little heads pop up by the counter, both flashing me toothless grins, I couldn't help but grin back at the faces of my niece and nephew.
"Hey you two hooligans."
"Sorry for just stopping by. These two want to surprise Jeonghan with some cookies after work." My sister-in-law Sana apologized, coming up to the counter. "You're totally fine. Any chance to see these cuties." I scrunched my nose down at them with a grin. My niece, Miyeon copying me.
"Well its your lucky day, cuz guess what." I bend over the counter to get closer.
"What?"
"I have cookies in the oven right now." Both sets of eyes go wide at my words. "How about you two sit down, and while you wait you share a warm cinnamon roll?" Their eyes never once leave my frame as I move behind the counter to grab a plate and dish out the still warm cinnamon from the tray. Grabbing two forks and some napkins, I hold them out towards them.
Two little hands snatch the plate and napkins from my hands faster than you can blink, the footsteps of them running towards a empty table being heard with a chorus of " thank you's".
"I swear, they get bigger each time I see them." I comment while shaking my head with a chuckle. "You're telling me. Just yesterday they were babies and now look at them" Sana answers while looking at them. "They need to stop growing, soon enough they are gonna have girlfriends and boyfriend's." I say with a chuckle turning my gaze to Sana as she speaks.
"Don't even say that around Jeonghan. He already plans on locking Miyeon inside the house until she's fifty." I laugh, knowing exactly what she was talking about. Jeonghan was the same way about me when I was younger, hell even now that I am 25 for crying out loud. "Poor Miyeon when she gets older." Sana and I share a knowing look on how overbearing Jeonghan is going to be.
"How have things been by the way? We haven't seen you for a while" Sana asks while leaning against the counter as she speaks. "Sorry, things have been busy here lately and whenever I have days off, Jen wants to do something." Literally any free time I had outside of working hours from the bakery were spent on relaxing at my apartment or my roommate/ best friend Jennie was convincing me to go out.
"You work too hard Y/N. You are young! Go out and have some fun while you still can." I held back a sigh at her words, running my hand through my hair. I know everyone means well and want me to enjoy being 25 but I love what I do. Opening my own bakery was a dream come true and to do it at 25 was amazing. I've worked my ass off to be where I am now and if it meant giving up going out and partying, then I just don't care. Plus I was never one for going out all the time. I liked being at home, laying on my couch and relaxing.
"I know, but with Christmas around the corner, I just don't have the time." Which was technically true of course. With Christmas literally a month away I was already getting piles of orders and I know it will only get busier as days go by. When I said I wanted to open my own bakery a few years ago I knew it was going to be really difficult. Owning any sort of business was hard, I learned that with my parents and then with Jeonghan taking over. And this past year has been nothing short of hard work that paid off, I had made it. And now here I am with a business slowly starting to boom and just in time for the holiday season. I may have given up time spent with friends and even family but for me, it was worth it.
"I wont go on about it but just make sure your taking good care of yourself, okay?" Sana squeezed my hand on the counter, her eyes soft and gentle as she gazes at me. "I will." Despite how annoying it could be I was grateful that Sana was looking out for me. She's become the older sister I've always wanted. If I ever needed anything, she was always there no matter what. When I answered a random ad for a fake boyfriend eight years ago for my brother, I never thought we'd meet someone like Sana. Definitely didn't believe Jeonghan and I would gain another family in the process.
The sound of the oven beeping had me pushing away from the counter. Sana went over to the kids while i went in the back to grab the freshly baked cookies. Sliding warm cookies into a box, I added a few more than necessary. I knew my family and i know that the cookies will be devoured within minutes. Wrapping it all up and placing the rest of the cookies on a plate, I made my way back to the front of the bakery.
"Here you guys go, fresh from the oven." I smile at the way the two small heads snap in my direction. It only took a second before their little feet were running towards the counter. I came prepared tho, placing two chocolate chips in front of Miyeon and Min-jun.
"You spoil them."
"That's because I'm their favourite auntie in the whole wide world" The smile n my face gets wider at the sight of my niece and nephew stuffing the cookies in their mouths. "Okay guys we better get going so we can see appa." Sana announces while grabbing the box of cookies and started veering the kids towards the door. "You're coming over on Friday for dinner right?" Sana asks over her shoulder as she stops.
"Yeah I'll be there."
"Say bye to auntie Y/N."
"Byee!!" The two practically shouted as they walked out the door. Shaking my head with a smile at their antics i get back to work.

You walked to your usual hangout spot. Eventhough you were very late, again, you were walking slowly and peacefully. You knew what your friends would say about it and you knew you wouldn’t care. You’d apologize and move on, just to be late again next time.
Even before turning around the corner, you could see the cigarette smoke coming from where your friends were standing.
“… so I told him to piss off.” Liza said, blowing smoke out of her mouth while leaning back nonchalant.
“No you didn’t,” Jayda chuckled, “He has you in a chokehold as always. You can’t get enough.”
Even without context, you knew exactly what this was about. You turned the corner and joined them without saying anything.
“No. No. This time I was serious. He has to pull his weight, or I kick his ass out and he can go live with his mom again.”
Dura rolled her eyes, “Even if you do kick him out, you’ll let him back in a week later when he buys you gold or something.”
“I mean, yeah. Obviously. Gold is gold.” Shrugged Liza.
That made the group laugh. That’s when they finally noticed you.
Jayda pushed herself away from the wall she’d been leaning against, “Well, well. See who finally decided to show up.”
You looked straight at her, not afraid of anything she’d do. She hadn’t had anything yet, so you knew she wouldn’t crawl your eyes out. Jayda has always looked very tough, but she was harmless. Unless she’d mixed her alcohol with weed again.
“Lost track of time.” You explained, shrugging it away while taking a beer from the cooler.
Liza looked away, pursing her lips, “Well, I’m glad you have enough free time to be late. Some of us don’t have that luxury. I have kids to pick up in less than an hour.”
You couldn’t help but smile, “The consequences of your own actions, I’d say.”
Dura waved everyone to silence, “Shut up. Did you remember to bring beer or not?”
Today had been your turn to buy beer for the group, which is why they were more annoyed than usual that you were late. Sadly for them, you had decided you didn’t like drinking with them and therefore didn’t bring anything.
You didn’t say anything, just looked Dura dead in the eyes until she understood that that meant no.
“Are you serious?” Liza acted like you just told her you stole her phone and ran it over with a train.
Jayda just shook her head disapprovingly, you knew she was thinking about killing you and you believed she might.
Meanwhile all Dura had done was walk away. Clearly annoyed, sighing loudly.
You didn’t get the big deal. You’d think they wouldn’t trust you with this anymore. You ‘forgot’ to bring beverages last time as well and sort of figured someone else would take care of it as a precaution. Over the last few months this group had really started to annoy you. Maybe you decided to not care anymore because you hoped to get kicked out, maybe it was just to be mean. Who knew, really? But the thought of them telling you to leave and not come back did seem great right now.
It seemed like Dura finally got back to herself again as she turned around and walked back towards you, “The only day in the week we can all get drunk, and not only do you turn up late, you forget the most important part?”
You placed your hand on your chest like she just offended you, “You mean… I’m not the most important part?”
“I’m gonna kill her.” Liza said under her breath, making you laugh.
Dura shook her head, clearly to calm herself, “Alright. Okay. Well, there’s not enough time for you to run to the stores and get some. And I don’t trust you with that anyway. So you messed this up for all of us. If this happens one more time, you’re out.”
You shrugged and checked out your nails.
Liza decided to open her mouth again, “No, no, I’m sorry, but I'm not cool with that. Something has to happen right now.”
Jayda leaned back against the wall she was standing against before. This was a castle wall, on the other side was part of the big royal garden. But no one ever came to this side of the garden so it was safe to do whatever.
Jayda seemed to have the same school of thought as you did. She looked at the wall and then to you. A faul grin appeared on her face, “Why don’t we play a game?”
That’s almost the exact opposite of what you’d expected her to say.
No one was as confused as Liza, “What?”
“She has to climb the wall and bring us back some nice flowers or something.” Jayda continued.
That was a dumb idea even for this group. You had clearly forgotten once again you were the only one here with more than one brain cell.
“I would like a rose.” Liza said, suddenly agreeing with Jayda’s crazy idea.
Dura was the only one who seemed hesitant, “You guys know that’s an actual criminal offense right?”
Jayda shrugged and brought her cigarette back to her mouth, “Make sure you don’t get caught then. But don’t worry, she’s too scared to actually do it anyway.”
She knew exactly how to light your fire. A dare. The only way to prove you were not scared was to actually climb the wall. You looked at the stone structure, the ivy all over it would make it very doable to get to the top, you’d just have to trust on the fact the other side had ivy or something similar as well. Without saying a word, you started climbing.
“Bring me a rose. The prettiest you can find!” Liza yelled as if you were a hundred meters away.
“Shut up.” You hissed. The last thing you wanted right now is to get the attention of a cop or palace guard.
“Come back down.” Dura said, she clearly hated the idea. She was the only one thinking of the real consequences there would be to this.
You peaked over the top into the garden. You didn’t see much but you could already tell it was gorgeous. This side was fairly sheltered from the palace so going down would be quite safe.
“Be right back.” you said right as you jumped over. You couldn’t pass up a challenge.
You knew this was stupid and the moment you stood on the soft, green grass, you regretted everything. But there was no turning back now. Time to find a flower.
“Come back.” Dura hissed loudly, clearly very annoyed. You weren’t going to respond and started carefully walking alongside the wall. Going away from it seemed like a dumb idea, at least if you were to be seen now you could quickly climb over. You were grateful for the hedges shielding you from the sight of the palace, getting caught would be a big issue seeing as you were trespassing. The more you thought about it the dumber this whole thing was. Stupid Liza and her dumb roses. If you could find a flower you were going to shove it down her throat.
Why were there no flowers? None whatsoever. You’d think the royal garden would be filled with flowers as far as the eye could see, but there were none whatsoever. Maybe on the other side of the castle? But you were not walking that far.
You decided to just go back to your group and climb back over. You turned around and froze where you stood.
A curse word left your lips before you could think about it. You were so screwed and you knew it.
You looked right into the confused eyes of prince Seungcheol.

┊ one bad dream [a jicheol oneshot]
— I will always love you in every universe and lifetime I have.

title: one bad dream word count: 1,671 words pairing: jihoon x seungcheol characters: jihoon, seungcheol, oc characters language: english (narration), tagalog (dialogue) genre: slight nsfw, fluff, mpreg, slight abo content warning: contains slight nsfw summary: when jihoon dreamt the saddest dream in his life.
Jihoon woke up in a fit of loud pants escaping his parched throat. It’s still 4 in the morning and everyone in their household, probably except Manang Iska, are still asleep. He was sweating hard when he found himself in the same bed as his husband.
“Seungcheol…” He mumbled softly, almost inaudibly, as his gaze fell on his husband who was still sleeping peacefully beside him.
It was a different image than the one projected on his dreams. Oh… That annoying dream of his that almost gave him a heart attack. He groaned softly as he felt his chest aching. “Ano bang ginawa ko kagabi bago ako nakatulog?” Jihoon placed right palm against the center of his chest, as if pushing back the pain throbbing within his ribcage.
He was still shaken up. If it wasn’t for that dream—or nightmare, he wouldn’t be waking up in the middle of the early morning. A soft sigh escaped his dried lips as he looked back at his husband. He wanted to wake him up to calm the annoying pulse throbbing on his veins, but he couldn’t.
Seungcheol just came back from his business trip and the man needed more time to rest. The anxious and heartbreaking emotions came flooding back to him when he recalled the words that the Seungcheol in his dreams said.
“Hindi na kita mahal, Jihoon. Pasensya na.”
He instantly wiped off the tears that fell on his cheeks. During times of distress, Jihoon would often ask his husband to feel him up or make him cum, one of his coping mechanisms during a call of distress.
The coldness of their room was slowly slipping under his skin, maybe it was the newly cleaned air conditioning or the fear of having that dream come to life.
“Seungcheol…”
Jihoon carefully crawled down on him, settling himself between Seungcheol’s legs. He laid down on his stomach, facing his husband’s clothed cock. His mind was starting to creep to its vulnerable state, and he knew damn well how he needed something to distract himself.
*****
“Uhnng…” Seungcheol woke up at the sudden burst of pleasure of releasing his cum. His lips were parted, eyelids struggling to open up as his hips unconsciously moved. He could feel something hot and wet around his cock, and a soft whine ringing in his ears. “Jihoon…” He moaned softly, unconsciously calling his husband, as if he was sure that it was him playing with his cock.
“Nagising ba kita?”
A soft grunt erupted from his throat when he finally was able to force his eyelids open, and the sight of his husband’s face stained with cum greeted him. “Anong ginagawa mo?” He groaned softly, hands slowly reaching for his cheek. He was even more worried when Jihoon pouted his lips sadly, as if he was going to cry any moment. “Hey? Are you okay?”
“Ang panget ng panaginip ko then I woke up bigla,” his voice was small and sad, but his hands were still wrapped around his husband’s cock. “Hindi mo na raw ako mahal…” Jihoon broke into tears as he said those words.
“Mahal ko,” Seungcheol called onto him as he pulled himself up to sit. He scooped Jihoon up, guiding him to sit on his lap. “Hindi ‘yun totoo, and we both know that, right?” His voice was gentle as a cool breeze in spring, and this made Jihoon’s heart melt even more.
“Mahal mo ‘ko? Sobra?” He asked, closing his eyes for a bit when Seungcheol started wiping off the stain of cums on his face using the wet wipes on their side table. “Do you only love me?”
“Yes, baby ko. Ikaw lang at ang mga anak natin ang mahal na mahal ko.”
It was a familiar sense of relief that slowly calmed the storm within him, and Jihoon couldn’t help but sob as he hugged his husband tightly. “Masaya ka ba na naging asawa mo ‘ko?” He asked as he buried his face on the crook of his neck.
Seungcheol smiled as he hugged him back tightly, his arm around his waist, while the other was holding the back of his husband’s head gently. “I am. Masayang masaya ako na naging asawa kita, na pili mo ‘ko out of all the guys who tried to woo you,” he answered as he soothed his waist. “I love you so much, kasama lahat ng struggles and challenges sa relasyon natin.”
Jihoon burst into tears as he took in every single word his husband said. “I love you, too, so much. I was so scared that I might lose you… The dream felt so real… sabi mo hindi mo na raw ako mahal and you were tired of me…” His words slurred as he cried even more.
As if their children felt their mama’s strong emotions bursting, they started crying. With the baby monitor on their bedside table, Seungcheol could hear their children crying. He pulled up his boxer shorts then carried his husband who was clinging on him like a scared koala.
“I think the kids are feeling their mama’s emotions,” Seungcheol whispered softly, making his husband cry even more.
“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to burst like this…” Jihoon hiccuped as he tried to wipe off his tears on Seungcheol’s white shirt.
“Don’t apologize sa nararamdaman mo, mahal. I understand that. I’d feel the same way if it was me. So cry all you want, I’ll be here with you. I’ll be here with you and our children,” he assured him, patting the back of his head gently as he kissed his tear-stained cheek.
Seungcheol found Manang Iska tending to the twins, who were both sleeping on the rilakkuma bed, when they entered their room.
“Hala, sir… Ako na po,” Manag Iska said as she cradled Chaewon in her arms.
“Okay lang po, Manang. Ako na po bahala sa kanila,” he said as he gently placed his husband on the big snorlax bed they set up in their kids room. “Wait lang, mahal. Kukunin ko ‘yung mga bata.
Jihoon only nodded his head while he tried to wipe off the tears that kept on running down his cheeks.
“Naku po, ang mga baby ko umiiyak din,” he cooed as he approached the twins. Seungcheol found it cute when he saw Chanwoo trying his best not to cry, while his twin sister was crying. “Mga anak kong manang mana sa mama talaga. Tara na. Punta na tayo kay mama.” He smiled at them as he gently carried them one at a time.
Chaewon hid her face on her papa’s shoulder, while Chanwoo was sobbing. Seungcheol gave them both a kiss on top of their heads then he turned his attention to Chanwoo. “Why baby ko? Is it because of your ate Chaewon?”
Chanwoo pursed his lips as he nodded his head. “Iyak ate…” He sniffled and sobbed.
Seungcheol understood that Chanwoo wanted to be strong for his twin sister whenever she cries, maybe because Chaewon does the same to him. They were still four, and it amazed him how his precious twins are slowly maturing in their own ways.
“Our brave baby. It’s okay to cry din. You can hug ate kapag umiiyak siya para ma-comfort kayong dalawa. Will you feel at ease ba if you can cry too with your ate and hug each other?”
The corner of Chanwoo’s lips tugged down as he looked up to his papa, the tears threatening on his eyes glistening. He sobbed a few more times before he let the tears fall on his chubby cheeks. “Yes… Chanwoo will hug ate na.” He cried as he hugged his twin sister, who was still crying on their papa’s shoulder.
Seungcheol brought them to their mama then placed them carefully on the bed beside Jihoon.
“Mama…” Chaewon cried as she quickly hugged her mama, Chanwoo followed her.
“Bakit ka cry mama?” Chanwoo asked as he hiccuped.
Jihoon wiped off the tears on his cheeks as he hugged their twins. “Panget dream ni mama kasi.”
“Higa na tayo. Tabi-tabi tayo,” Seungcheol said behind them after grabbing the big comforter they were keeping on the twins’ closet.
“Palo natin Dream na ‘yun… Where ‘yun, mama?” Chanwoo asked, pursing his lips as he looked up to his mama.
Jihoon chuckled as they lay down the bed, carefully placing Chaewon beside him. “Bad ‘yung palo, anak ko. Hindi na lang natin bati ‘yun. Higa ka na. Kanino ikaw tatabi?”
Chanwoo sniffled softly. “I want beside ate Chaewon. Comfort ko rin siya,” he said as he went beside his twin sister.
“Sleep na,” he said as he gently ruffled Chanwoo’s hair. Chanwoo smiled as he hugged his twin sister.
The three of them were all cozying on the snorlax bed, and Seungcheol sat on the edge, smiling and watching them. He couldn’t help but admire how warm and loving his family was.
His family.
How calming and comforting it was to know that he had the chance to build a family this warm with the love of his life. Nothing in the entire world could ever replace them.
“Mahal? Akala ko higa tayo?”
The thoughts in his head were cut off as Jihoon called his attention. A huge smile clung on his face as he lay down behind him, wrapping the four of them with the huge comforter he was holding.
“I love you and our family so much, Choi Jihoon. I’ll always find you in each lifetime I’ll have. And then I’ll fall for you all over again, and love you, and build this precious family with you again,” he whispered as he planted feather-like kisses on the back of his husband’s head. “I will always love you in every universe and lifetime I have, Choi Jihoon,” he added as he embraced the three of them.
“Baliw ka… Naiiyak na naman ako sa sinasabi mo,” Jihoon whispered as he snuggled closer to his husband’s warmth. “I will always love you back in every universe and lifetime we have, Choi Seungcheol. Ikaw at ikaw lang.”
END.

“You ate without me…?” Cheol’s sleepy mumble was the first thing you heard from him. He had tiredly trudged downstairs when he had woken up and you weren’t next to him in the bed. It was already a bad start to the day when that happened, and he was frowning and pouting and generally sulking about it by the time he found you.
He wrapped his arms around you from the back, trapping you in the middle of the living room so you couldn’t continue without giving him the attention he needed. You smiled at his clinginess and deep raspy morning voice, but scoffed at how baby-like he was in the morning. Sometimes he acted even more like a child than your actual child.
Eunha was your now 2 year old daughter. She was adored by everyone and constantly doted on. She could be a handful at times, but only because she had started to take after your bossiness and knew exactly how to appeal to Seungcheol. If she ever wanted something, all she had to do was look at them with those big boba eyes that she got from him, and he’d be folding.
He loved her more than anything. Probably even more than you, but you were okay with it. It warmed your heart how much he cared for his daughter. He’d die for her in a heartbeat without a second of hesitation. You were learning more and more every day the love a father could hold for his children. You had expected this attitude when you married him, of course. Because you knew him and you knew how caring he was. He was so filled with love for people and the world, and you were so lucky to have him.
Starting a family had always been a dream for both of you, and Eunha’s birth had been your biggest blessing. It was challenging to take care of a toddler, but you and Cheol always did your best.
Eunha was happily playing with her toy dolls after eating breakfast— the entire living room spread with her mess. It was always a constant of cleaning her toys in the evening just for her to make a new mess the next day, but you didn’t mind. It was worth it to see her so happy, and though it could be stressful to have a messy space sometimes, her happy giggles made up for it.
“Were you playing dolls with her without me as well?” Cheol asked, the pout he was wearing somehow finding its way into his tone. You giggled and he squeezed you tighter out of jealousy. He didn’t want to admit that he missed your attention being only on him, but it was true.
You were getting up earlier to feed Eunha and play with her in the morning. The sleepy morning cuddles that Cheol looked forward to every time he fell asleep next to you were becoming rarer and rarer and he felt bitter about the change. It just wasn’t the same with Eunha. It wasn’t worse, it was definitely better in most aspects, but the free time that he had enjoyed before was being sucked away by the little child.
“She wanted me to be the doctor.” You told him, explaining the dynamics of Eunha’s favourite game. She would be the mother to her little baby doll, and either Cheol or you would usually be the doctor.
“The bed was so cold without you…” He murmured, pushing his cheek against your neck. His skin was warm against yours and you leaned into him more, savouring the feeling.
“I’m sorry. You know that Eunha likes to get up early…” You whispered.
“She should’ve woken me up instead of you. Aren’t you tired?”
“A bit. Eating breakfast with her was nice, though. She insisted on having strawberries with her yogurt since she had seen me eat it like that once.” You smiled. Seungcheol pouted.
“I thought I was her favourite…” He was mostly joking, of course, but slightly hurt. He had always been susceptible to jealousy. Maybe he was a little too greedy— he loved watching you and Eunha spend time together, but he also hated being left out.
Your little moment of warm embrace was interrupted after 2 minutes, a giggly Eunha running up and clinging to her father’s leg. She babbled something about her doll and wanting to get ice cream later today, which you were sure Seungcheol would indulge her in. He spoiled her too much.
You were happy to see your husband’s pout lift up into the sweetest of grins. He picked up Eunha, holding her so that she was resting on his hip. He kept one arm around you; almost if you would run away and leave him if he didn’t. Which was probably partially true since you hadn’t cleaned up from breakfast yet.
“Give daddy a kiss?” Cheol asked Eunha, giggles ensuing amongst both of them. She leaned forward and kissed his cheek cutely and you smiled. Now that Seungcheol was awake as well, the two would be inseparable for the rest of the day— especially since Cheol didn’t have any work to get to.
The morning happily proceeded with a small second breakfast and playtime. Now that your husband was being included in every activity, he was all smiles and giggles. He liked being the centre of attention; you had discovered that fact throughout the years. He was the happiest man in the world when he knew he was making his daughter happy.
Her happiness always came first, even when it relied on Seungcheol’s hair being tied up in pigtails with little cherry-coloured bows because Eunha wanted to play hairdresser. You were almost envious of how cute he looked in them. It was impossible not to love everything that Cheol did.
Along with the bows came matching sweaters with a cherry pattern for father and daughter. One look at the two and you could easily declare them the two cutest human beings in the entire world.
