man I am so damn sick and i keep getting days off from work and I feel like I should at least do something productive creatively with this time but I keep going into sick kid watch cartoons mode. Okay I know it's a reasonable and normal name, but does anyone else feel like "Nintendo Switch 2" is just plain boring?

I mean, Nintendo has had some good product lines in the past that indicated a clear bump in quality from their predecessors.

Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, etc.

NES, Super NES, N64. 👍

But at the same time, they've also had some dog-water names like the Wii-U named as such because it's for "we" and "you", where "you" refers to your ability to play solo on the handheld or something dumb like that iirc. 🤔🤔🤔

Or they've tacked on so many prefixes & suffixes like the DS family that it becomes super muddled, and you lose the plot. Nintendo DS? Lite? i? XL? 3D? 2D? New? Personally, my favorite was the "New DSi Lite," which you can totally trick someone into believing existed.

Anyways, my point is simply that "Super Switch" was right there, and they seriously decided to just say "2"? Where's the fun in that? That doesn't really tell us how much better it is compared to the original, especially when sequels often fail to live up to expectations, and what Nintendo really needs to do is insist that the upgrade is actually justifiable.
