Starting 2021 with Setheso/Nerevar duel pieces!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because let's hope for a brighter future this year!
Really loved being able to draw Nerevar. I'll always seen him as some actual brick wall- just a solid, scary ripped mer with flaming red hair and storming gray eyes. When he walks towards you, you know to be nervous. However, while his voice is deep and booming, he is rather kind and gentle.
Just don't mess with his people or his friends.
Setheso is very much the same, though their kinder nature has a harder time shining through. One of the things I love about these two is the shared need to face the issues in their past, to deal with their trauma. Both know the mission: Red Mountain has crazy goth ex-friend in it working on a giant decepticon with a god heart in it. Stop him, destroy the heart, or all of Morrowind, and Tamriel, will suffer.
There's no time for tedious 'scores to settle'. But they can't avoid that topic. Sure, Nerevar can reason that the Tribunal will get theirs in the end, as the heart will be destroyed and their power taken away. So why should he be upset and bother to confront the fact his closest friends murdered and betrayed him? Sure, Setheso can reason there's no need to be mad at her parents, that their abandonment doesn't hurt her anymore. She grew up fine without them. Who needs them?
In my canon, Setheso starts to expierance random fits of rage whenever faced with so intense a scummy or backhanded individual, to the point of near murder. This all stems from both parts of the Moon and Star repressing what's hurt them for ages, with is exploding like Red Mountain now.
Face your problems, your hurts, your trauma. You don't need to defeat it, but you do need to confront it. To properly heal and move on.
Here's hoping for a much better year.

My Nerevarine, Setheso, finding herself being charged with murder, locked away, and then later being thrown on a ship to Morrowind.
Setheso was originally apart of the Fighter’s Guild in Lilmoth of Black Marsh. She had grown up there, having been abandoned in the swamps nearby at the age of five. One of the guild-members stumbled across her while returning back to the hall after a quest, and took her in. Setheso breathed and bleed discipline, respect, and a two-handed warrior’s skill.
So no one expected nor understood why in Sithis’ name this upstanding young mer would so suddenly attack and slaughter a Tribunal priest.
The Fighter’s Guild was questioned, and the guild explained that Setheso had last been sent on a quest by the Tribunal Temple. It was a simple fetch and return deal. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.  There were two other priests present, and when they were questioned, they were hysterical. Said that Setheso had disliked their former fellow priest’s words of wisdom towards her, and suddenly had leaped upon him like some savage animal, screaming curses against the Tribunal and the “nest of snakes” that were the their temples.  Finally, when Setheso was questioned from within her cell, she pleaded that she had been cursed, that there was a spirit inside her who possessed her to attack the priest. She confessed the priest had tried to withhold the payment to the guild by preaching that the Temple needed it more, and that “a dunmeri warrior should be more than willing to serve the Tribunal without question”. After that, everything had turned red and she knew only a sickening rage. Desperately, she begged that the Mage’s Guild be brought in to prove her possession. Her plea was met, but none of the elite mages sent to study her found any trace of a spirit within her. She cried that he was still in her, that he always had been there, she just had chosen to keep it secret out of fear of being locked up.  Unfortunately the Imperial Guards had had enough. Setheso was charged with murder, found guilty of course, and also labeled a danger to society. She was locked within her cell for a near week, waiting to be executed, but that never came to pass. Instead, direct orders from the Emperor were given for her to be transferred over to Morrowind. So Setheso was dragged from her cell and thrown on a boat.
All that time in the cell, and throughout the voyage, the spirit within remained silent, for once in her life. She vowed she’d force him to speak once again, and that he would answer for the hell he had brought upon them.

Some semi-fullbody practice!  My Nerevarine, Setheso Raamando, in their custom daedric armor. As for their weapon of choice, well... Setheso: I want to turn this daedric battleaxe into a destruction staff. Enchanter: Well, um, I could enchant it for you so it deals out fire, ice, or shock damage- Setheso: No, I want it to act as both a battleaxe and a staff.  Enchanter: I’m sorry, but that just doesn’t happen.  Setheso: Make it happen.

Some simple notes on a few of my OCs...
Tumblr media
Raveoov Thramfaere
Altmer noble on the mainland of the Summerset Isle
High ranking Mephala cultist, Deathweaver
Actually the son of Mannimarco by blood
Necromancer by choice, but not a lich by choice
By the late 3rd Era, has dyed hair dark purple
Was Trechire's first boyfriend, for a very long period of time
Didn't mention to her in all that time who he was and what he practiced- the necromancy, not the sexy murder times. That she knew.
That led to the break up, which kindles the fire for Raveoov to promise his father an easy way to bag and drag her for sacrifice.
By the late 3rd Era, their feud isn't even over the break up anymore, but over the various horrible shit they did to each other in the aftermath.
Eventually settled down with a nice Bosmer girl, and is a content lich demigod father to five.
Tumblr media
Trechire Galerion
Is a devoted lycan and worshiper of Hircine.
That of course is a secret, especially from her father and mother, Vanus Galerion and Caafire Salaelinwatch.
Champion of Vivec, Savior of the Clockwork City, Savior of Summerset, the Vestige- if it went whack in the 2and Era, she was the one that fixed it.
Was with Raveoov, then Tanval Indoril, was with Laloriaran and would have married had he lived, later married Abnur Tharn but then island went boom, didn't take any more romantic relationships after that until the late 3rd Era.
Then she met Eliindil, and they married- he later became Sheogorath, and she refused to loose another husband or to abandon him, so they remain married.
So yes, she is currently married to Sheogorath.
Has four sons: Sunnabela from Laloriaran, Rinyu from Abnur, Hirchire from Barbas, and Kirr from Sheogorath.
For over 1000 years, waited patiently to be able to be reunited with her first born, who was swiped away by the Order of the Worm through time via manipulation of an Elder Scroll.
She is cursed, made immortal by Clavicus Vile who found her misery at Laloriaran's death extremely funny, and told her she'd never be reunited with anyone she had ever loved who had passed and would forever watch loved ones come and go.
Assisted the Hero of Kvatch in stopping the Oblivon Crisis.
Tumblr media
Setheso Raamando
Nerevarine, who has the voice of Nerevar within their head acting as a second opinion and voice of reason.
Goes by "they/them", though if asked what gender they will initially say female.
To the point, a brick wall, and intimidating as all hell.
Daughter of Aithilo Raamando, who was the son of Sotha Sil and basically Lorkhan by default.
He wasn't a good dad, with Lorkhan slowly overtaking his mind and trying to posses a new vessel to take back his heart, so Setheso and him dont have a good relationship.
They are trying to figure each other out tho in the 4th Era, as Aithilo is much better after finally kicking Lorkhan's ass with much needed help.
In their younger years, they used bound battle axe and various destruction spells to defeat Dagoth Ur and travel Vvardenfell. But eventually they preferred a real daedric battleaxe and modified it to also act as a staff.
Was in a happy relationship with Jiub before the Oblivion Crisis.
Assisted the Hero of Kvatch in stopping the Oblivion Crisis.
Tumblr media
Codek Rinyu Galerion Tharn
During the Septim Dynasty, only went by "Codek Tharn"
After Jagar Tharn's shame, goes by "Rinyu"
Never really used "Galerion" unless he was back in Artaeum
Is actually an altmer-imperial mix, but is a highly skilled illusion and alteration sorcerer, and so can change his race if desired.
Of course that has its limitations and side effects, but he's pretty comfy with it.
During his time as High Chancellor under Tiber Septim, he was Imperial.
After Jagar, he reverted back to his altmer self for a while to drink away his depression.
He was a vampire by that point, so "drink" means something entirely different from being a drunk at the local pub.
In the late 3rd Era, was approached by Lucien Lachance and found purpose in the Dark Brotherhood.
He took on a khajiit form, and has remained in such to this day.
Is an ace- he still craves a romantic connection and likes cuddles, but everything else is just an activity to him that could be replaced with playing cards or chess. He'll only engage to make his partner happy.
Was married to a lovely Imperial battlemage during the Tiber years, later was romantically involved with Lucien, and currently is married to a brilliant dunmer alteration mage.
Of course he had children with his first wife, and from their descendants came Jagar.
Jagar is a very personal and touchy subject. It's highly advised to never mention him around Rinyu.
Was heavily conditioned into the typical Tharn personality during the Tiber years, but underneath that tough skin is the sweet and sunshine core of a Galerion.
Currently is the Listener for the Dark Brotherhood and Lord of Castle Volkihar.
Of course keeps in touch with his mother and brothers, always offering aid if need be.

Oct 10: Magic
🔥⚡❄
Setheso was raised with a distrust and silent hatred for magic- yet at the same time, she adored it. She was aware her father had been a great mage, and her mother had even been a Psijic herself. But neither had been present in her life. Instead she was left to fend for herself, earning her survival through servitude with the Companions. When she became old enough, she joined their ranks as a warrior, and we all know how the Companions feel about magic.
But then the dreams came- horrible dreams, of shadowy figures attacking and killing her, of a horrible construction within a firey mountain, and the night sky swirling before ber eyes. When awake, Setheso started to accidentally zap herself when in contact with metal, or even worse, set object ablaze out of no where. She could feel the magic within her blood bubbling to the surface.
Along came a few dunmer visitors to Skyrim, clearly unhappy to be there, strict worshippers of the Tribunal. They didn't waste time, quickly telling Setheso, when they saw her, what a disgrace to their race she was for serving anyone but the Tribunal, to whom she owes her worship towards.
Everything went black, and next thing she knew, her Shield Brothers were restraining her, and Setheso was covered in the blood of the then dead dunmer sprawled across the ground. What scared her the most was the weapon that she realized was in her hand- a bound weapon, daedric energy sizzling off of it.
Needless to say, she was exiled by the Companions, and then taken into custody by the Empire. She served a year in prison, until being transfered to Morrowind.
All the while, a voice echoed in her mind, "Don't fight it..." and magic pulsed within her.

Been playing Morrowind and having a ball~
So drew my Nerevarine and her Papa, because they’re precious little Sotha spawns.
First is Aithilo, the darling asexual babe whom I use in ESO but he lives well into the events of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. I’ll explain in a later post...but he’s kinda Sil’s kid.
Master Aithilo Raamando
Tumblr media
Next is his daughter, Setheso. He may never want sexual or romantic contact with a man or woman in his entire life, but Aithilo DID want a kid, be it with a foster mother or through adoption. He ended up finding a foster mother, but things got...complicated and he wasn’t exactly the father he had hoped he could be.
She’s such an edgy OC, but I consider it a guilty pleasure. I love taunting people with her whenever I’m seemingly forced to bribe to collect debt money or the like, I think it’s her preferred way to end an argument with the person on the other end of her sword and no bounty on her head.
The freckled face, spitefire Nerevarine, Setheso Raamando
Tumblr media
From a "What If" AU that shall be explained at a later date!

When you sell your soul to a daedric prince because you are backed into a corner and so for centuries you live in constant fear of appeasing him enough that your loved ones are never put in harm's way, forcing you to enforce a new code of conduct and standards among packs- then the two new heroes become werewolves and toss out the rules completely.

Limiting myself to three OCs so this doesn’t get THAT long...
Trechire was taught to read and write by her own parents, and for a time studied under some adepts within the Mage’s Guild. She was introduced to the Wardens of the Green in Malabal Tor in her teen years, and threw all her time and energy into an apprenticeship under their masters. A little later, she was brought up in the local packs and taught the disciplined hunter’s path by one of her former Warden instructors, who just happened to share Hircine’s blessing. She spent fifty years learning from him, the other masters, and from Hircine’s own guiding hand. After that, she graduated as a master Warden and was blessed with moon washed fur by Hircine as an alpha. After all this, she didn’t further her education really until she met the Psijics, and Ceralus insisted on a few private lessons in terms of “a neat and orderly library collection upkeep”. She is always more than happy to investigate and study an Ayleid ruin- or, in her current position, some ancient site within the Shivering Isles, but that’s about as far as “furthering education” as she gets nowadays.
Setheso was privately taught by their mother for a time, as their mother was an ex-psijic. Heck, Setheso was born on Artaeum, but was taken by their mother who abandoned the Order for very complicated reasons. Setheso was only three when they left Artaeum, and their mother taught them up until they turned eight. Then their mother promptly abandoned them in Black Marsh, and Setheso was left to fend for themselves. Eventually they found their way to the local Fighter’s Guild, and was allowed to sleep under the guildhall roof in exchange for hard labor for its upkeep, and to attend the warriors. Over time, Setheso became a member, and trained alongside their guildmates. They always had a intense curiosity for magic, and would study it in secret. They couldn’t just go to the Mage’s Guild- they didn’t want to insult their fellow guildmates, who, in that particular sec, were very pure-warrior driven. Once the events of Morrowind took hold, Setheso happily joined the Mage’s Guild in Balmora, and studied as much as they could about...well, everything. By the time of the Oblivion Crisis, they had become a very capable conjurer and destruction mage. Up to the current timeline, they still travel, and investigate whatever curious spell, history, or practice catches their eye.
Rinyu had a very complicated educational upbringing. Trechire had him on Artaeum, and for the first seven years of his life, he never left that little nook outside of time and space. Even Vanus and Caafire were paranoid he’d be snatched away like Sunnabela was, if he were brought to Tamriel to be raised. Eventually Trechire caved, as she wanted him to experience his father’s domain of Nibenay. They’d take various “field trips" throughout that area and its cities, absorbing the culture. Every now and then a few Psijics would tag along, and Rinyu always loved taking little notes and then sharing “all they had learned” once they all returned back to Artaeum that night. Rinyu received his basic education from Trechire, Valsirenn, and Ceralus, the last two then happy to enroll him in more advanced lectures and lessons once he turned fourteen. By the age of twenty, he was quite the skillful alteration and illusion sorcerer, as well as an aspiring loremaster. He had grown restless on Artaeum, and begged his mother to allow him to finally make a home in Tamriel so he could begin taking up the Warden studies like she had at his age. Trechire hesitantly agreed, and so for the next twenty years Rinyu resided in Malabal Tor and studied under the Wardens. At the age forty six, he sought a bite from a vampire acquaintance, and once he settled into his newfound nature, he embraced the lore of vampirism, aspiring to get his claws into the blood of a vampire lord. It took another sixty some years, but Rinyu set foot in Nibenay, under the guise of an Imperial who was known as “Codek Tharn”, and with his very… persuasive abilities, he quickly became the Tharn Family patriarch, and a coveted advisor to Tiber Septim. This led to him being feverishly taken with the White-Gold Tower libraries, and all the knowledge they offered. This paragraph is far too long, so I’ll be brief with the rest- after Jagar, and a very horrible rock bottom, Rinyu became involved with the Dark Brotherhood, became the Listener, and through that still studies/advances the alteration and illusion schools of magic to the current date in the timeline.
This still ended up too long, but oh well. I might reblog at a later date with my other ocs. We shall see.
So what’s the education background for your OCs? Do they plan to further their education in the future? If they plan on having kids, or already have kids, what type of education will they enroll their children in?

Oct 27: Grief
🍂🎃🍁
Aithilo went his entire life avoiding his blood father, for good reason. Yet, when he finally overthrew Lorkhan's grip on him, and the Heart of Lorkhan had been destroyed, there had been a smidge of hope for some sort of closure in Aithilo's heart. He had traveled to the Clockwork City himself to see why Sotha Sil's domain had suddenly become so dangerous, and to finally confront Sotha Sil about...everything.
Unfortunately, all he found of his sire was a strung up corpse, and what was to be salvaged of starry memories in the Mnemonic Planisphere.
They confirmed what Aithilo had guessed: Sotha Sil had abandoned him out of fear that the false god would only harm his child. He had foolishly let himself be lured in by the unseen fate of Aithilo's mother, which had been hidden from Sil because her end was Aithilo's birth. Aithilo's life, all he was destined to be and do, was unseen by Sil. To Sil, his son had the opportunity to be a truly free individual with unlimited possibilities. So for once, Sil set aside his own desires, and did what he thought best for the child- eliminating himself from Aithilo's life.
This all of course didn't excuse the sins still staining Sil's hands, but still the grief pierced through Aithilo more than he ever thought it could for his blood father.
