YuuriVoice Characters Accidently Walking In On You Changing:
Notes: SURPRISE! First time writing these characters! Sorry these are so short. Iâm currently short on time so Iâve been real busy and only getting busier. I havenât watched the Lucien, Faust and Charlie videos in a while so excuse any messed up personalities. Enjoy!
AlphonseđŹ:
He walks into the room, not looking up. âHey Boo, have you seen my keys? I need to head to the shop to grab some toilet paperâOH SHIT! Damn Boo!â You pick up a slipper and throw it at him, red in the face.Â
âAlright! Alright! Iâm leaving! Iâm leaving!â he repeats, backing out, his voice echoing through the hall. âYou look good though!â
Sethđş:
Seth walks in the room, looking down at his phone. âHey Sugar, have you seen my helmet? Iâm just gonna go getâdaaaamn Sugar!â he says, stretching the second to last word. âNot lyingâ Sugar, you look goodââÂ
You turn red in the face, attempting to speak, but only stuttering comes out. You shriek in embarrassment, shooing him out.
He turns around, exiting the room while walking down the hall. âIâm leavinâ! See you later, SugarâIâll get you some chocolate for your sweetnessâ!âÂ
AuronđŠ¸:Â
âRook, have you seen the new microtech law contract? Trish reminded me that Iâd given it to you lastâoh, oh dear.â Auronâs eyes conveyed the same message as his curved lips. âMy sincerest apologies, Rook.â His smile disappeared for a brief moment, before returning, far more mischievous than before. âIâll leaveâbut Iâd like to see youâin my office later.â
FaustđĽ:
âHave you seen my good streaming headphones? Iâve been looking for themâoh,â Faust starts, walking into the room, only looking down at his phone at first until he looks up at you.Â
He pauses, looking at you and then to the outfits you have laid out on your bed. âWear the purple plaid short skirt with that top, it matches your eyesââ he says, rolling his own. âIâll be looking for my headphones if you need me,â he continues, walking out of the room and closing the door slowly, before turning back one final time, looking you straight in the eyes.Â
âIf itâs any consolation, you look great,â he finished, before closing the door completely and walking off to continue finding his headphones, leaving you red-faced.Â
Charlieđ:
Charlie walks into the room, eyes focused on a texting thread on his phone before looking up. âHey Casp, have you seen my IDâwha-AHH!â He screeches, backing up and covering his eyes.Â
âSorry! Sorry! So sorry!â He spouts, back-running out of the room and slamming the door behind him.Â
Lucien:
He strolled into the room like he owned the place, his voice loud. âAngelâyouâre out of eggs andâoh? Arenât you good looking?â He says, that is, before you throw a slipper at him, shouting at him with a red face to get out.Â
He laughs, throwing his head back and running his hands through his hair. He turns, grinning and exhaling with a chuckle. âOnce youâre not in your birthday suit, get some eggs, Angel.â
Finnđť:
âHey, are you ready to goâoh my gosh I am so sorry!â he started, stuttering when his eyes reached you. He covered his eyes, blushing out of embarrassment. âI am so, so sorry!âÂ
He continued to spout the apologies as you turned red with embarrassment.Â
âDo you want me to go?â he asked, his eyes still covered. âI should goââ he took his hands off his eyes, blushing. âIâm gonna goâsorry! You look great though! Wait noââ he continues, already out the door, starting to spout apologies again.
Taglist: (None yet, but let me know if youâd like to be added.)

Charlie and Casper Headcannons!!
⢠Charlie looves physical touch, hand on the thigh, arm wrapped around Cas when watching tv, head on the shoulder, etc.
â˘Does that thing when he finds Casper sleeping and tucks a hair behind their ear to see their face better. Extra points for a little kiss on the cheek/forehead.
â˘Sometimes when Caspers at work and he has the day off, he goes to the skatepark to practice tricks Cas tought him so he can show them later to impress them.
â˘Charlie would get one of those bikes with the basket in the front so he could take the little ratccoon on rides around the city.
â˘Tries to cook Casper dinner but fails so badly the fire alarm has went off multiple times to the point Charlie had gotten banned from going in the kitchen.
â˘Charlie and Cas have so many inside jokes that whenever their around people, they just sit there and make jokes and nobody know what the fuck their talking about.
â˘They go around at night on their skateboards and head to the tallest building around to sit on the top and look down on the city. Bonus points for a long makeout session đ
â˘Every valentines day Charlie makes sure to bring Sweet Pete's Heart Shaped Pizza special to Casper. Cas goes crazy for those pizzas (and honestly I would too.)
â˘Cas would get one of those pet backpacks with glass on the back and put Ratccoon in it. Charlie thinks its funny as hell.
â˘The three of them would do group halloween costumes. One year they did Wanda, Cosmo and Timmy Turner, Cas was Wanda, Charlie was Cosmo, and Ratccoon was Timmy. It was adorable.
I love Charlie sm so expect a lot of Charlieđđ

I donât know who needs to hear this but: You are enough.
You were enough when you were born and Iâm sure youâre more than enough the way that you are now.
Youâre enough when you wake up in the morning.
Youâre enough when you go to sleep at night.
Youâre enough when youâre struggling.
Youâre enough when youâre succeeding.
Youâre enough when you ask for help.
Youâre enough when you are helping others.
Youâre enough when you eat something.
Youâre enough when youâre alone.
Youâre enough when youâre with others.
You are enough simply because you are human. You are enough because you are you. The world isnât the same without you.
Anyone who says otherwise isnât worth your time or your company. There are bad people out there, but there are also good people who are worth your time.
You are enough. Period.
I know this is random because I havenât written anything for a while, but I just had a sudden urge to say this in case someone needed it. You guys are great. Keep being you.

Waitingđ¤
Summary: After decades of being alone without a love of his own he finally finds her in a gloomy town of forks, his brother Edward isnât the only lucky one
Pairing: Emmett Cullen x f! Swan reader
Warning: angsty, fluffy sunshine Emmett
â˘Masterlistâ˘
I never thought much about the future until suddenly the friends I adored most started relationships and left me in the past as if our friendship never even mattered, like their boyfriend was the most important thing
My sister and I use to be close as kids but when she moved away with our mom and rarely visited me and dad, who she regularly called Charlie, we grew apart leaving me feeling like I lost all my friends and my sister, after a while I grew depressed and I never wanted to leave the house, dad grew concerned and after many absent calls from school he allowed me to start home schooling myself and my grades have never been better
Most nights it was just me and Charlie some days Iâd get the courage to go down to the reserve hang out on the beach with Leah, Seth and Jake, sometimes Iâd go for hikes in the forest behind the house just to clear my head, but other than that Iâd stay in my room listening to music, reading the books dad would bring home for me, and doing school work
Thatâs how life was for so many years, it was routine and it never bothered me and dad loved having me around, after Bella and mom left he was so broken and with my help, even as a little girl, I pulled him out of that deep dark hole and he became that Charlie that joked around and made me smile
But then dad got the call that Bella was moving back for the rest of highschool since mom would be traveling with Phil for baseball, hopeful that I could reconnect with my sister again
Dad and I picked out a new bed spread for her hoping sheâd love it, and he even let me pick out a new book as a thank you for helping him out with getting everything ready for her arrival, after a few days it was time for dad to go pick Bella up from the airport in port angeles, I was a nervous wreck which was crazy I mean sheâs my sister why should I be nervous
Finally the familiar sheriff cruiser pulled up in the drive way, I walked out the door with an umbrella quickly shuffling over to Bella to cover her from the rain knowing how she favoured the warm dry weather, complete opposite of me
âWelcome home Bella!â I smiled as we walked back inside as dad got her bags following closely behind
She shook off her coat and placed her little cactus down on the counter
âYouâve grown so much youâre a year younger but youâre already taller than meâ she said as she hugged me
âCome on bells weâll show you your room!â Dad said as he walked up the stairs with her bags
She settled in for the rest of the day until it was supper time, I set out the table and dished up our meal, dads game playing in the background as we ate
âSo are you excited for school on Monday?â I asked
âNot really but atleast Iâll have you thereâ
âWhat? No im homeschooled rememberâ
âWellâŚ..â dad drawled out
âDad what did you do?â My heart was racing now at the implication
âI thought since Bellaâs back now it would be good for you to get out there again, you need some experiences honeyâ
âBut you know I have no one there, no one wants to be friends with me weâve been over thisâ
âYou might make new friends honey, give give it a chance for your old manâ I sighed slumping back in my chair trying to wrap my head around having to socialize again
âAtleast youâll be with me, dad said since your grades are so good you got bumped up a grade and can have some certain classes together, depending on our coursesâ that settled my anxiety a little
Bella and dad cleaned up from dinner as I sat out on the porch, in desperate need for fresh air to do its magic, only 2 more days and Iâll be back in a school again, who knows maybe some new kids have arrived and arenât too set in their groups yet
Monday came quickly and I was a ball of nerves, I glanced in the mirror as made sure my hair was just the way I wanted, wearing a casual outfit, simple flared black leggings, a dark rich blue longsleeve with my old worn out dark brown carhartt jacket, quickly spraying my vanilla perfume
I walked down stairs to meet Bella in the kitchen, she grabbed an apple as she picked up her backpack from the table
âAre you ready to go?â She asked
âAlmost can I make a tea quickly?â She nodded and I quickly wiped together a chai tea latte, grabbing my lunch from the fridge and meeting her in the truck dad had gotten for us but since I didnât have my license, seeing as I never needed one before now, she would be driving us
The drive to school was calming, hearing the steady rain fall against the windshield, pulling into the parking lot everyone stared until we got out, I kept my eyes down as Bella led me to the schools main office
âOkay hereâs your schedule, we have math together at the end of the day, the bells about to ring so I gotta head to world history are you good to find your way to chemistry?â
âOh ummm yeah Iâll be fineâ
âOkay see you at lunchâ she smiled gently before she left down the hall
Looking at my schedule I memorized the room number hoping it wouldnât be too hard to find, turning the corner I rammed into what felt like a brick wall, dropping my books I look infront of me to see the most beautiful guy Iâve ever seen, his eyes a golden amber, hair as dark as night and his skin as pale as snow
âSorry about that, I havenât seen you around beforeâ he said soothingly as he handed me the books that had momentarily scattered the floor, not even realizing he had picked them up, too busy oogling him I suppose
âOh yeah Iâm just re-enrolling here again, just trying to find my classâ he looked down at my schedule a striking smile adorning his face
âCome this way gorgeous, got the same classâ walking along the mostly bare hallways I noticed his gentle glide, Iâve never seen such aâŚ..well such a perfect human, obviously I was way out of my league if I could think heâd ever be interested in me, I mean Iâm plain and simple what would he ever see in me, best I stay in my lane, but dad did want me to make friends so that couldnât hurtâŚ.right?
We got to the classroom and the teacher assigned us to sit together, the class went by pretty boring, every now and then Iâd take glances at Emmett and I swear he did the same but he was probably just looking at someone else, moments like this made me wish I was a beautiful as my sister, she never had a problem with guys wanting her, they basically drooled over her, even if she never acted on any offers she was still wanted
It felt like I was a living ghost most days, no one noticed me anywhere Iâd go, a big reason I wanted to be homeschooled, now Iâm thrown back into this miserable place, Iâll bet by lunch time Bella with have a table full of new friends while I sit alone, not even a second glance from anyone
Lunch time rolled around and as I entered the cafeteria I searched for Bella and just as I guessed she was surrounded with bright smiles, excited to get to know her, she glanced my way and I waved hoping sheâd wave me over to sit but she just gave a half assed smile and got back to talking with her new friends, I felt my heart rip at that, thinking things would be different this time with her here but I guess I was wrong
I found an empty table near the windows and made myself comfortable for another lonely lunch, I pulled out my bag from my backpack but my appetite was lost and I had no desire to eat so I just pushed my lunch to the side and looked out the window just wanting to go home
{Emmettâs POV}
I couldnât get her out of my head, sheâs the most beautiful girl Iâve ever seen and her blood sings to me, when she bumped into me in the hallway I felt my whole world shift, she didnât talk much but just being near her felt right
Lunch came, my least favourite part of the day, having to pretend for an hour, I glanced around the cafeteria hoping to catch a glimpse of my mate again, my eyes landed on her sat alone looking glum a few tables down, the others followed my gaze and smiled knowingly
âWhoâs she?â Rosalie asked
âI think sheâs my mateâ
âHer thoughts are overwhelming loudâ Edward stated
âWhat do you mean?â I asked nervously
âSheâs not the happiest girl, I can hear how depressed she is, how unwanted she feelsâ
âI can feel how broken her heart isâ Jasper added
This has to be the worst feeling knowing the one Iâm suppose to love unconditionally and she is quite perfect in my eyes, has been broken and feels unloved
I got up from the table and made my way to her sliding in the seat across from her, her eyes were so glazed over with sadness she didnât even realize I sat down
{Normal pov}
âSo howâs your first day?â I jumped snapping out of my thoughts noticing Emmett is sat across from me
âOh sorry I didnât see you, ummm today has been fine I guess, thanks again for helping me earlierâ
âItâs not problem, umm I was wondering maybe if youâre not too busy this weekend if youâd wanna hang out?â My heart raced at this
âReally? You wanna hang out with me?â
âYeah of course, who would wanna spend time with the most beautiful girl in the schoolâ his smile warmed my heart but quickly faded at a realization
âIs this a prank, because if it is itâs cruelâ I said as my bottom lip wobbled
âNo what? I would never do something like that I really wanna get to know you, so how about after school on Friday Iâll meet you in the parking lot and we can go do something?â
âOkayâŚâŚsure id really like thatâ his face beamed with excitement
âPerfect itâs a date then gorgeousâ
This felt surreal thereâs no way there wasnât a catch here, how could someone wanna spend their free time with me, but like Charlie said it doesnât hurt to try, I just hope this doesnât break my heart more

The thought of leaving your bed was excruciating.
For nearly three days, you could hardly do much more than use the bathroom and drink some water. When you heard Joel leave for patrol, his footsteps always pausing hesitantly on the other side of your door before begrudgingly going down the steps, you would eventually drag yourself downstairs and force yourself to eat something. Anything. It didn't really matter. You didn't crave anything. Didn't look forward to a single thing except the sweet embrace of sleep. But by the fourth day, you knew you would have to go back to work or else Nick would make a house call to check on you.
You had lied and said you hurt your back so you could get out of working for a few days, but enough time had passed, enough tears were shed, enough pity was wasted when you finally forced yourself to get up one morning and take a shower.
It helped more than you thought it would. The steam billowing around you in the confined space, the warm water pummeling your shoulders, working out the kinks in your muscles from too many hours hunched over in agony. If you had any self-awareness, you might have asked yourself why you had such a powerful reaction to Joel kissing someone else. If you had a clear enough mind, you might have remembered you didn't even react this badly when you woke from your accident only to discover your whole family was dead and the world went to hell.
No, you only seemed to fall into a deep depression over Joel finding comfort from another woman.
And not just any woman. Angie.
It still made your blood boil as you slipped on clean clothes for work. You should have known she was a shark, smelling blood in the water that very first night when she cornered you in the bathroom.
And to make matters worse, he had the audacity to accuse you of not caring. Not giving a shit about him, to be exact.
That fucking asshole.
When you came down the stairs and spotted the coffee maker still on with your favorite mug next to the carafe, you scoffed and kept walking to grab your coat. As much as you wanted some coffee, you were too stubborn to accept Joel's shitty gesture.
The winter sun was blinding against the snow. Or maybe your eyes were just too swollen and dry, too accustomed to staying in the darkness of your bedroom for days on end, but whatever it was caused you to wince and rub your face.
"Hey! You're alive!" you heard Ellie's voice call out from the driveway. She was walking up the path at the exact same time as you with her backpack slung over one shoulder and her winter jacket unzipped.
"Yeah, barely," you replied, wishing you had some of the coffee Joel had left behind. You took the porch steps carefully and met her out on the sidewalk, your pupils finally adjusting to the brightness. "How's it going, kid?"
She opened her mouth to reply but paused, giving you a funny look.
"What's wrong?" you asked, unable to read her expression.
"Nothing, just that nickname... took me by surprise," she laughed with a shake of her head, "you used to call me that before. Haven't heard it in a long time, I guess." You shielded your eyes and shrugged.
"Common nickname, I suppose," you reasoned, and she nodded in agreement.
"How's the back?" she asked with a point, and you almost had to ask her what she was talking about before you remembered your lie.
"Oh! Much better, thanks. Must've pulled a muscle or something, who knows."
"Well, that's good. Listen, I gotta get to school, but do you wanna get dinner later with me and Dina? Seth's making mac and cheese, and it's like, the fucking best, dude," she said excitedly, and you didn't have the heart to say no.
"Yeah, sounds great," you smiled, then gave her a quick wave before heading in the opposite direction towards the infirmary.
It was only a short ten minute walk to work, but the fresh air combined with stretching your muscles for the first time in days really did something to improve your mood. By the time you pushed open the door to the infirmary, you were actually looking forward to working again.
And so was Nick, apparently, because his eyes lit up and his body sagged with relief when he saw you.
"I was a few hours away from sneaking you the good pills and begging you to come back," he joked, then his face turned serious. "Everything alright? What happened?"
"Oh, I'm fine," you said, waving off his concern, "I slipped on some ice and pulled a muscle, it's all good now."
"Well, be careful out there, alright? You're the best aide I have."
"I'm the only aide you have," you corrected him before hanging up your jacket. "What do you need me to do?"
The morning went by fast. Nick had told you in the few days you were out, the clinic wasn't terribly busy, but he unfortunately did fall behind on housekeeping. So you busied yourself running loads of sheets and blankets to the laundry, then sanitizing equipment until Mr. Phillips came in after lunch with a laceration on his arm from working in the stables. It wasn't a bad injury, but it required some cleaning and a few stitches, which you were secretly eager to observe. You wanted to get more exposure to stitching in the hopes of being able to take care of non-emergency injuries by yourself one day.
It felt good to feel useful again. Staying busy forced your mind off Joel and the whole mess waiting for you at home, and you were grateful for the distraction. So much so that you decided to stay a little longer than usual and fold the linens that came back from the laundry. You were killing two birds with one stone: staying busy and avoiding going home in between work and dinner. By now, you knew he'd be back and likely waiting for you, and you still had no idea what you would say.
As the sun began to set and the world outside the infirmary grew darker, you slid your coat back on and locked the door behind you before heading for the dining hall.
Shoving your hands deep into your pockets, you tucked your chin against your chest, feet carrying you swiftly through the streets, eyes cast down and avoiding others as best you could. When you arrived at the dining hall, it was packed, per usual, but you did manage to spot Ellie and Dina holding a small table in the back of the room. As you weaved your way through the crowd, you noticed they were sharing some bread and butter and you felt your stomach rumble. For the first time in days, you felt excited to eat.
"Hey," you said in greeting as you dropped your coat over the back of an empty chair before giving them each a half hug. "Freezing out there."
"Give it a second. It's hotter than hell in here," Dina joked before pushing the basket of bread in your direction. You plopped down into your chair and moaned when you felt the bread was still warm, then tore off little pieces and popped them into your mouth.
"Hungry?" Ellie asked, only partially joking as you nodded vigorously.
"Did you order the mac and cheese yet?"
"Yeah, didn't want him to run out," she replied as she eased back into her chair and turned her head toward Dina. "Do you see Chris and Holly over there? What are they thinking? They know that shit'll get back to Claire. What a bunch of assholes."
"Who?" you asked, your voice muffled around the bread.
"Couple of kids in our class," Dina explained, nodding towards the other side of the hall. You twisted around, your eyes scanning the crowd until you saw a younger couple sitting together, the girl sitting on the guy's lap and toying with his hair. "That's Chris, and he's been dating this girl, Claire, for like, what? Six months or so? And look at him. Letting that hussy crawl all over him. Men are pigs."
You choked on your laughter and took a swig of water. If only they knew.
Ellie's eyes lit up as she looked at something behind you, and you turned around to follow her gaze, spotting Seth as he made his way through the crowd with three plates of mac and cheese. However, just over his left shoulder you happened to notice Joel for the first time since you arrived, but by the looks of it, it was not the first time he noticed you.
He was sitting at his usual table with Tommy and another guy from patrol you vaguely recognized, the other two men engrossed in conversation while Joel pinned you with his stare. You quickly turned away, your cheeks feeling flush, and tried to focus on your dinner.
"Shit, this looks amazing," you said, distracted by the cheesy, piping hot dish set in front of you.
"I'm telling you, man, it's the fucking best," Ellie told you before digging in. You had to stifle a moan when the food hit your tongue for the first time, eternally grateful for the impeccable timing because all you could think about in that moment was how good it tasted, Joel temporarily forgotten for the first time in days.
"Didn't you eat today?" Dina asked, her lips twitching into a grin, and you shook your head.
"Not really. Haven't had much of an appetite this week," you told her, and Ellie tilted her head to the side.
"Your pain was that bad?"
"Huh?" you asked, then it dawned on you once again. The Lie. "Oh, yeah. I mean, I ate a little, I just wanted to sleep, I guess."
"Joel didn't make sure you ate?" she pressed, her eyes flicking over your shoulder. You dropped your fork, scrambling to come up with yet another lie when her brow furrowed and her eyes narrowed, making you twist around to see what made her demeanor change so suddenly.
As you expected, she was looking in Joel's direction, but he was no longer looking at your table. It was impossible considering Angie was standing directly in front of him, blocking his view with her body, her hand resting on the back of his chair.
"What is she up to now?" Dina murmured to Ellie, but you could hardly register her words. The way your anger ignited deep within your chest and licked up your throat, it was a miracle you even remembered to breathe. Joel's legs shifted, knees turned away from her, but that was all you could see. You couldn't see the look on his face or hear what was said. You couldn't see where his hands were. But you could see Angie flick her long, straight hair over her shoulder with a flirty laugh that was clearly meant to pull attention onto her.
If you didn't have tunnel vision, you would have noticed she was successful. A few heads turned, men's eyes lingering on her backside while women's eyes darted in your direction, but you were incapable of processing any of it. Ellie was saying your name, but you couldn't hear her over the ringing in your ears.
It was less than a minute. Thirty seconds, tops, and she walked away from him with a sickly grin plastered across her face, her two friends returning her mischievous smile before flanking her side, making their way towards the exit like a swarm of bees.
Without even thinking, you stood up.
"What are you doing?" Ellie asked, but you ignored her. Instead, you pushed your way through the crowd in a trance, shouldering people out of your way without so much as an apology, too laser focused on your target to care.
"Joel!" Ellie called out to him. He was rubbing his face angrily, trying to avoid his brother's eyes glaring at him in disbelief over what he just overheard Angie say when he heard Ellie. Great, she knows, too, he initially thought, but when he looked up and saw Ellie and Dina, panic-stricken, making their way towards the exit, he realized something was happening. He didn't see you until you emerged from the crowd and reached for the door, swinging it open and allowing a cool blast of air into the room before disappearing outside.
"Oh, shit," Joel mumbled, snatching his coat and forcing his way through all the people as quickly as he could. Tommy followed, confused at first, until he realized you were no longer at your table and then it clicked.
By the time you made it outside, you nearly missed where they went, but luck was on your side because her high-pitched giggle danced through the bitter cold air and you twisted your head to the left, just in time to see the three women in the shadow of night round a corner and head down a residential street.
You were nearly running to catch up with them, but you couldn't feel your feet hit the ground or hear the gravel crunching under your boots. And neither did they, because when you found yourself less than ten feet away, they were still giggling and talking animatedly amongst themselves, completely oblivious to your presence.
Skidding to a stop, you shouted, "Hey!"
All three women swirled around in surprise, their eyes wide and their smiles slipping from their faces when they sensed the rage radiating from your body. But even still, Angie tried to play dumb.
"Can we help you?" she asked sarcastically with a dry laugh, but when you took a step forward, she went quiet.
"Yeah," you sneered, fists clenching at your sides, "I had a question for you, actually."
Angie looked perplexed, not expecting that, so she held her hands out to her side, urging you to continue while Ellie and Dina caught up, standing a few paces back.
"Did you run out of dick to suck in this town or are you just that fucking bored you thought you'd give home wrecking a try?"
Dina snickered behind you and Ellie gasped.
"Home wrecking?" she replied, raising her eyebrow and crossing her arms. "Is that what you'd call your man following me into the ladies room at the bar so he could shove his tongue down my throat?"
Your nostrils flared and your ears began to make that buzzing noise again, so you dug your nails into your palms, desperately trying to ground yourself.
"Can I even call him your man?" she taunted, feeling like she got the upper hand. "Are you even together anymore? You clearly don't fuck him if he was looking for it from-"
You couldn't even remember moving. Your feet had a mind of their own as you closed the distance between you with two long strides and swung your arm back with as much force as you could muster, backhanding Angie right across the mouth.
Her hands flew up to her face and her two friends stumbled backwards in surprise, but all you saw was red. Before she could recover, you grabbed her by the coat and threw her down onto the muddy street, knocking the wind out of her with a sharp gasp. Quickly, before she could get up, you straddled her midsection. With your left hand pressing down on her chest and your right balled into a fist near your head, you landed a punch right on her perfect little nose with a sickening crunch, causing a trail of blood to trickle out of her nostrils seconds later. But that didn't stop you. You kept going, your knuckles, now bloody, marring her flesh over and over again, but when you made contact with her jawbone, you flinched, a jolt of pain shooting down your middle finger making you pause.
That was when Angie saw her opportunity.
She vaulted you off her with her hips and she rolled to her side, pinning you to the ground with blood dripping down her face. She scratched desperately at your eyes and mouth, your hands coming up to protect yourself with a yelp, before she began landing weak punches against your cheek and mouth. And even though they weren't as forceful as your hits, her weight pinning you down kept you from reclaiming the upper hand.
Ellie and Dina were shouting your name, but you tuned them out. All you could focus on was Angie, blocking her punches as best you could while you waited for your opportunity to take her down.
Then, Angie's hand wrapped around your throat, her fingers pressing into your windpipe. Your hands grabbed her wrist as you fought for air and violently thrashed underneath her.
"Face it," she hissed, leaning down and putting more pressure against your throat, "If it was that easy, I was doing you a favor. He never really loved you, you were just an easy fuck before your brain got all scrambled."
Her words were exactly what you needed to get your second wind.
With an angry roar, you punched her right in the throat, and although you couldn't get much force behind it, it was enough to make her loosen her grip in surprise. And just as Tommy and Joel were running up the street, you tossed Angie to the side and scrambled back on top of her. But this time, you didn't stop.
You were merciless, your hands were a blur. Fists rained down blows upon her face while she desperately tried to shield herself, but it was no use.
"Stop!" she sobbed, begging, but the fear in her voice just egged you on.
Blood began to stain her yellow hair, her perfect skin began to turn red and purple while your fists never stopped, each blow creating a new mark or cut. You couldn't stop if you tried. Something snapped and you unlocked a part of yourself you didn't know, or didn't remember, existed. Some part of you that was a warrior. A fighter. A survivor. And it wasn't until Joel hooked his arms underneath yours and hauled you back that you finally stopped, your chest heaving and your eyes wild.
"Y-you crazy b-bitch!" Angie sputtered, blood trickling from her nose and mouth as Tommy knelt in front of her.
"You haven't seen crazy!" you screamed as you kicked and struggled to get out of Joel's grip. Tommy reached down to help Angie up and he motioned for her friends to come forward. "Stay the fuck away from us or I'll fucking kill you!" you shouted, "You hear me, you fucking whore? I will fucking kill you!"
"Calm down!" Joel yelled from behind, but your blood boiled as you focused your rage on him.
"Get your fucking hands off me," you snarled, wrenching your arms out of his grasp. "This is your fault!" you continued, pointing your finger in his face and backing away, ignoring the tortured look he gave you. A sick part of you was pleased to see the sting of your words land.
"I think she needs to see Nick," Tommy said as both of Angie's friends struggled to help her up.
"She's lucky she's alive," you snapped as you wiped the back of your hand over your bloody face.
"Holy shit, dude," Ellie murmured as you turned around, her eyes all wide with shock.
"I'm going home," you grumbled, wiping more blood from your cheek as you began the journey back to your house on shaky legs, wondering how on earth you were expected to share a space with Joel after tonight. Dina and Ellie exchanged some quick words as you left before Ellie quickly caught up with you.
"I'll clean you up."
"You don't-"
"I know. But I want to," she said, wrapping her arm around your shoulder, and it took everything in you not to lean into her and let her drag you home.
You were exhausted. Mentally and physically. And you just wanted to go to bed. But you were grateful for Ellie. Someone who cared, someone who saw you were hurting and needed help without having to ask for it. So you let her clean you up in your bathroom when you arrived back home, her nimble fingers delicately pressing against your wounds, cleansing them as best she could before pressing band aids and butterfly bandages against your cuts and then making you an ice pack to help with the swelling.
She tucked you into bed and made you drink some water before sitting down on the edge of your mattress with a sigh.
"I had no idea," she began, and you quickly waved her off.
"I know. It's... I know," you said, at a loss for words.
"You didn't really hurt your back, did you?" she asked, and you slowly shook your head. "That motherfucker," she seethed, "I can't believe him, I'm going to kill him, I swear-"
"Just leave him alone," you told her, "Let me handle it."
The two of you sat quietly for a moment, each of you lost in your own thoughts before she spoke again.
"It wasn't like that before," she began, and at first you weren't following, but then you realized: she was talking about before your accident. "You were crazy about each other. Angie was never an issue. Neither of you paid her any attention. She just saw an opportunity and took advantage," Ellie said as her fingers tangled in her lap. "I shouldn't even be saying this, it feels like I'm defending him, but I swear. I was with you guys all the time. You were in love, man."
"Things changed, I guess," you said sadly, but she shook her head.
"You guys are what inspired me and Dina to go for it," she said softly, avoiding your gaze. "We were scared, but I saw how you two were together and how you made it work and, I don't know," she said, picking at her fingernail, "I guess what I'm trying to say is, I look up to you guys. And it's kind of fucking with my head right now that all this is happening."
"Ellie, no," you said, shifting a bit in bed and reaching out to her. "Don't say that. Don't question what you and Dina have because of me and Joel."
She swallowed and looked at you, her eyes soft and worried.
"Why did he do it?" she asked quietly, and you could hear the pain in her voice. Pressing your lips together, you shrugged.
"It's complicated."
She nodded and looked away. "Will you do me a favor?" she asked.
"Yeah."
"Would you give him a chance? Just hear him out and let him explain?" she begged, and you immediately bristled. "You don't have to forgive him. Just... don't give up yet. Please. He loves you, I know it, and... and I think you love him, too."
You scoffed then cleared your throat, your fingers coming up to press gently on your tender neck. "I don't love him," you croaked, but she shook her head.
"If you don't love him then why do you care so much?" she countered, and you fell silent, unable to give her an answer, eyes drifting aimlessly around the room. "Why did you almost kill Angie for sleeping with him if you didn't love him?"
"Sleeping with - no, Ellie. They didn't have sex. He kissed her," you quickly explained, and her eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"You rearranged her face because he kissed her?" she asked in disbelief, then laughed softly and stood up. "I'm not saying he didn't fuck up, but dude. Come on. You gotta see it, now, right?"
You took a deep breath and rubbed your eyes.
"Alright. For you, I'll... talk to him, or whatever," you grumbled half-heartedly.
"Thank you," she said, her voice sounding more like herself once again before turning to leave and allowing you to rest. If you had any inkling she was trying to manipulate you into forgiving Joel, it was quickly expunged because you awoke an hour later to her arguing with him in the living room when he arrived home, the conversation ending with her storming out of the house and then his weary footsteps slowly climbing up the stairs.
Once again, you watched as he paused outside your room, two narrow shadows cast by his legs breaking up the thin beam of light under your door until he thought better of it and kept walking, his own bedroom door closing softly with a click.
The pain was worse the next morning, but you refused to admit it. The cuts burned and the bruises throbbed, but you were too stubborn to let any weakness show, although one look at your bruised neck would tell anyone the truth. You forced yourself out of bed, feeling too guilty to bail on Nick after already taking so many days off to wallow in your own misery, and washed up before heading downstairs. Much to your surprise, Joel was sitting at the kitchen table, his big hand cupping a mug of coffee while he stared blankly at the wall, lost in his own thoughts. When you first saw his face, the bags under his eyes evident, even from across the room, it was clear he hardly got any sleep.
Good, you thought. Then you remembered your promise to Ellie and bit back whatever nasty remark you were getting ready to toss his way. Instead, you dragged yourself to the coffee maker, ignoring the mug Joel left out for you and choosing your own, unable to resist the urge to be just a little bit spiteful.
He cleared his throat as you poured your coffee, a warning he was about to speak, and your shoulders tensed.
"How're you feelin'?"
"About as good as I look," you muttered, bringing the coffee to your lips and taking a tiny sip before turning around. He looked up at you, for the first time seeing the extent of your injuries and he jolted forward in his chair, fighting back the instinct to stand up and inspect your wounds. He blinked rapidly, gaze skirting over your face and neck, worry etching his features until you sighed.
"It's not really that bad," you admitted, looking down at your feet.
"Tell Nick t'give you somethin' when you get to work," he said, voice strained. You nodded and took another sip of your coffee. He swallowed nervously before inching forward in his chair and clasping his hands between his knees. "I'm sorry," he said, the words laced with guilt and shame. "I'm so sorry, I fucked up. But you gotta believe me, I didn't go out that night lookin' for her or anyone else. I just wanted to drink and be alone for a little while." He rubbed his palms over his face while you still stared down at the floor, listening.
"I believe you," you finally said after a tense stretch of silence. He dropped his hands and looked up.
"You do?"
"Doesn't mean I forgive you, but I believe you didn't run out of here looking to shove your tongue down someone else's throat."
He grimaced and dropped his chin to his chest.
"D'you think-" he cut himself off and took a deep breath before forcing himself to look at you again. "D'you think you could ever forgive me?"
You closed your eyes and pressed your lips into a thin line.
"I don't know," you said quietly. Your head was pounding, so you rubbed your forehead, his eyes trained on you anxiously from across the room, knee bouncing slightly as he waited to hear you say anything that would give him a glimmer of hope. "You really fucking hurt me, Joel," you said, trying to hide your lower lip as it trembled, but he heard the pain in your voice and it broke his heart.
"I know, I'm an asshole and I don't deserve you. I never did. Not after what happened at the hospital and definitely not now," he said, standing up and taking a few hesitant steps in your direction, stopping when he reached the kitchen island. "But I'll do whatever it takes. I'll wait as long as I need to, I'll spend the rest of my life makin' it up to you, prove to you that-"
"I don't want to lead you on, Joel," you said solemnly, eyes watering. "I can't promise I'll ever move past it. I'm not sure we're strong enough to get through this."
"Yes, we are," he told you adamantly, "I don't want anyone else. I only want you. You ain't leadin' me on because I don't wanna go anywhere else. I don't care what that looks like in the future, I'll take whatever you give me, that's all I want."
You swallowed hard, trying to ignore the wobble in his voice, and looked into the living room, the framed photo of your house that Ellie drew for you several Christmases ago, the same one you read about in your journal, catching your eye, and you felt yourself tear up.
I just want to go home, you thought, but home no longer existed. This was your home, like it or not.
You turned away, looking out the window over the sink blinking back tears, but Joel had already followed your gaze to the photo.
"I should get going," you said, voice thick. You chugged whatever coffee you could and dumped the rest in the sink.
"I'm gonna make it up to you," he said, following you to the door, "I'm gonna make this right." You scoffed.
"Yeah, okay," you mumbled sarcastically, shoving on your boots and coat before swinging open the door and heading out into the frigid winter morning, big flakes of snow slowly swirling and falling from the sky as Joel watched you trudge down the street, hunched over and curled in on yourself. A shell of the person he knew you to be.
He did that. He caused you pain. And it made him sick.
But at least he finally thought of a way he could prove how much you meant to him.
Sweat covered your forehead by the time you made it to the infirmary, your wool knit cap to blame for the excessive heat pouring from your head while your face was ice cold. You yanked it off your head and shed your coat before making your way to the back, your hair sticking to your forehead. Nick was nowhere to be found, but one of the exam room doors was closed and you heard voices murmuring on the other side. Assuming he had an early patient, you pulled your hair back and got to work. It was supposed to be a quiet day. Nick wanted you to work on an updated inventory list after getting a big batch of supplies two weeks prior from an unexplored hole-in-the-wall pharmacy.
The exam room door swung open, the voices clearer now, and your shoulders stiffened when you recognized the patient. You should have assumed Angie would be there that day, but for some reason it hadn't occurred to you.
Your anger had diffused a bit since the night before, that raw, exposed nerve quelled by time, but that didn't stop you from glaring at her as she passed by the inventory closet. Her swollen eyes widened with fear when she saw you and for the first time, you got a good look at the damage you inflicted. Her nose was clearly broken, she was missing a tooth and both eyes were black and blue, but the cuts on her cheeks and lips were superficial, at best.
She kept walking, not daring to say a word in your direction as your eyes followed her out the door. When she left, Nick turned around with a sigh and crossed his arms.
"How're you feeling?"
You shrugged and turned back to your clipboard. "I'm alright."
"You look like shit," he said, sidling up next to you and plucking the ibuprofen from the shelf. He tapped out two pills and dropped them into your palm before closing the bottle, putting it back where it belonged. "Did you eat?"
With just a shake of your head you popped the pills, swallowing them dry before turning back to your task.
"You gotta eat something with those, it'll tear up your stomach," he said, disappearing down the hallway and coming back a few minutes later with an apple. You grimaced but took it anyway, unable to stop your mind from replaying the memory of peeling apples with Joel just a week prior. Before everything went to hell.
Nick watched you quietly for a moment as you chewed your apple slowly and read down the list of medications on your clipboard.
"Do you, uh," he began, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck, "do you need someone to talk to?" You glanced up at him in surprise and he dropped his hand back to his side. "We don't have to talk about it. But I know you still feel like you're a stranger in this town, and that's gotta be tough." He scratched his greying chin as he glanced around the room and you had to fight back the laugh that bubbled up your throat. You couldn't help it.
He noticed the amused look on your face at his discomfort and pretended to be annoyed when he muttered, "just come find me if you wanna talk or whatever," but you knew it was just an act. Nick was typically a quiet man, kept to himself and hardly ever spoke to his patients, let alone you, his employee, about personal matters. The fact he was trying now must mean he really thought you needed it.
The older man disappeared down the hall to his office and you smiled to yourself, then focused back on work, grateful for something that took your mind off your misery, even if it was just for a moment.
"What the hell do you want?" Tommy scowled when he flung open his door to find his older brother waiting on the other side, hands shoved deep in his pockets, weight shifting foot to foot in an effort to keep warm.
"C'mon, Tommy, I'm gettin' it from all angles, here."
"I don't give a shit," he spat, turning on his heel to retreat back into the house, but left the front door open. Joel took a step inside and quietly shut the door behind him, glancing around the entryway and peering into the living room as he took off his outerwear.
"Maria home?"
"No, she's down at the stables with Violet. Showin' her the horses, gettin' her outta the house," he grumbled, angrily putting away dishes as he spoke. Joel sighed and flattened his palms against the counter.
"I gotta ask for a favor."
Tommy scoffed and shook his head. "You're a piece of work, y'know that?"
"Yeah, I fuckin' know. Jesus Christ, Tommy, I made one goddamn mistake!" Joel yelled, slapping his hand against the cool countertop. Tommy twisted around, brow furrowed, and crossed his arms.
"Don't take an attitude with me," Tommy said through clenched teeth, "I don't give a shit if everyone's gangin' up on you. You deserve it! I thought she was the one you wanted to spend your life with? The one you'd do anythin' for?"
"She is!" Joel exclaimed, raking his fingers through his hair. Tommy's eyes softened while he watched his brother struggle, the enormity of what he did clearly taking its toll.
"Then what the fuck were you thinkin'?" he asked after a few moments, tone pleading. "Everythin' was goin' so well. You guys were havin' a nice time at the party, laughin' and smilin', we all saw it. Then you take 'er home and step out like that?"
"It's not- I was drunk and misread some things," Joel replied, rubbing his eyes with the pads of his fingers. "I tried to kiss her, she shot me down and I didn't take it all that well, alright?" Joel dropped his hand, exasperated, and looked at Tommy once again, taking a deep breath. "Went to the bar to drink and Angie sunk her claws into me. I got the hell outta there and confessed the second I got home but... didn't matter," he said, hanging his head between his shoulders.
"Angie said you followed her into the bathroom, Joel. Don't bullshit me, I was sittin' right there."
"I know, Jesus, it's my fault. I was drinkin' and upset and she was just... there. Pesterin' me and pushin' my buttons. It was only a second, Tommy. Nothin' else happened, y'hear me?" Joel's eyes were wide and desperate as he stared at his little brother across the kitchen.
"It's no excuse, Joel," Tommy said sadly. Joel pushed off the counter with a huff and yanked angrily at his disheveled hair again.
"I know that. I'm just tellin' you how it went down. But I gotta make it up to her. I gotta make it right."
"How the hell do you plan on doin' that? 'Cause from where I'm sittin', only way she could move past it is if I take her back out into the woods so she can hit her head again and forget," Tommy said.
Joel rolled his eyes and slumped into a chair at the kitchen table.
"I got an idea. Don't know if it'll work, but it's all I can think of to prove what she means to me," he said softly, staring down at his fingers twisting together in his lap.
Tommy sized his brother up and down before taking a few steps closer, his hands coming to grip the back of a chair as he leaned forward.
"Let's hear it."
Joel sighed and tilted his chin up. "I need a week off from patrol. I gotta leave Jackson. And I need a horse."
"What?" Tommy asked incredulously. "In the middle of winter? Absolutely not. You'll die out there."
"I survived out there before I came to Jackson, I'll be fine."
"Been a long fuckin' time and you weren't alone when you did it," Tommy argued.
"You offerin' to help?" Joel asked, and Tommy laughed dryly. But Joel continued to stare at him.
"You're serious, aren't you?"
"'Course I am," Joel replied, "she ain't ever gonna forgive me but I gotta do somethin', Tommy. I can't lose her, and right now, it really feels like I'm gonna lose her." Joel's voice cracked and he turned away, looking out the window so Tommy couldn't see the emotion behind his eyes.
Tommy groaned and yanked a chair out to sit down.
"What'dya need me to do?"
It was a long day on your feet and your face hurt more than you cared to admit, so by the time you arrived home, you decided to make yourself a sandwich and go to bed early, skipping an appearance at the dining hall where you knew half the town would be gawking at you and your wounds, anyway.
Fortunately, Joel was up in his room with the door closed when you quietly snuck upstairs with your sandwich. You were still emotionally exhausted from your brief conversation that morning and you were grateful he wasn't looking to have another one.
Nick had sent you home with one of the good pills, as he called it, so you took it with your meal and within the hour, you were out cold. Maybe if you hadn't taken the pill, you would have been awake to hear Joel's bedroom door squeak open, the rustling of fabric and the tinkling of metal cutting through the quiet hallway as he gripped his sleeping bag in one hand and his backpack stuffed with supplies in the other.
Like he usually did, he paused outside your room, his eyes lingering on the doorknob, ears straining for any sign that you were awake, that maybe you had a change of heart and he could call the whole trip off, but he was only met with silence.
He swallowed and turned towards the stairs, quietly tiptoeing down and packed another bag with food from the pantry before setting all three items by the door. At the last minute, he decided to leave a note, not even certain you would notice or care he was gone, but he knew Tommy would be furious when he found out he lied to him earlier and he really didn't want his brother to waste manpower trying to hunt him down in the wilderness. So he grabbed a pen from a drawer and an old envelope. The tip of his pen hovered over the paper as he struggled with what to say, then finally decided to keep it brief before scribbling his note, leaving it by the coffee maker where he knew you would see it.
Lastly, he strode into the living room and grabbed one more thing, shoving it into his backpack before piling on his layers and heading out the front door, giving the house one last forlorn glance before slipping quietly into the night.
It was your day off, so naturally you allowed yourself to sleep in a little, hoping that the extra rest would help your bruises to heal. At the very least, you were pleased to discover the pain around your throat was significantly better than the day before.
You didn't hear Joel when you got up, but that was typical. He usually had early morning patrol shifts and was back by the afternoon, but when you came downstairs and saw the coffee wasn't made like it normally was, you froze. Your eyes drifted around, noticing his coat and boots were missing.
Maybe he was running behind and just didn't have time to make coffee.
As unusual as that might be, it was the only logical conclusion until you walked over to the coffee maker and saw an aged envelope sticking out of your favorite mug. You frowned and picked it up, eyes quickly scanning the words once, then three more times before the panic set in, your stomach churning worse and worse each time.
Tell Tommy I'll be back in a week.
He knows why.
No matter what, just know I love you with my whole heart, in this world or the next.
Joel
Boots unlaced and coat unzipped, you raced down the street towards Tommy's house, the envelope gripped tightly in your fist.
What the hell did that mean? Where did he go? What is he doing? And why did he sneak out without telling Tommy?
You banged on the door, the wood rattling violently under your clenched fist, only afterwards realizing you could have been waking their daughter but fortunately when the door opened, you saw Violet and Maria playing in the living room over Tommy's shoulder.
"What's goin' on, sugar? You okay?" he asked, voice filled with concern when he saw the look on your face.
"Joel's gone," you said hurriedly before pushing past him and entering the house, yanking off your hat and exchanging glances with Maria from across the room.
"Gone? What'dya mean, gone?"
"I mean I woke up today and he was gone, Tommy!" you exclaimed, handing him the note. "Where did he go?!"
You were aware your voice was panicky, that your eyes were wide with fear and your breath was fast and shallow, but you didn't care how it looked to them in that moment.
Tommy scanned the note and sighed, rubbing his forehead before urging you to join him in the living room, where he collapsed onto the sofa.
"That idiot," he murmured under his breath, handing you back the envelope.
"Where is he, Tommy?" you tried again, hoping to sound less frantic this time.
He glanced at Maria before meeting your gaze.
"He was here yesterday afternoon. Told me he needed a favor. Said he needed a week off from patrol and a horse."
"To do what?" you pressed, sinking down into an armchair next to the couch.
"He said-" he cut himself off and looked down at the note in your hand, ticking his jaw to the side as if he was contemplating how much to tell you.
"Spit it out," you demanded, and his eyes snapped back up to you.
"Said he had a plan to make things up to you. For, y'know," he waved his hand in the air, not wanting to say it. You shook your head.
"What was his plan?"
"He wouldn't tell me everything but I offered to help," Tommy admitted, glancing guiltily at Maria who shot him a surprised glare. "Said he needed to go to California, that he wanted to bring a piece of you back. I'm guessin' you're from out that way?" Tommy asked, and you nodded slowly. "He said he would wait 'til I talked to Maria and worked out the schedule but I guess he decided to fuck off-"
"Tommy!" Maria scolded sharply, covering Violet's ears, and Tommy cringed.
"Sorry," he said softly before turning back to you. "Guess he decided to lone-wolf it."
Your eyes drifted back to the note in your hand, swallowing the lump in your throat while your mind raced to catch up.
"What if he doesn't make it?" you asked, eyes still glued to the envelope, "what if he dies out there and it's all my fault?"
They heard your voice waver and exchanged sympathetic looks.
"He made a choice, he knew the risks," Maria said, "but he's a capable guy. If there were anybody who could make it out there alone, it's Joel."
"Listen, I'd send a couple guys out there lookin' for him but there's a storm brewin'," Tommy said, rubbing his chin and glancing out the window. "Been watchin' those clouds build up over the mountains all week. Told Joel as much and he agreed to wait but reckon he changed his mind and wanted to get in front of it."
"Or it was his plan all along to leave alone and he just made sure no one would come after him," Maria said, making the three of you fall quiet.
"God, what do I do?" you murmured, burying your face in your hands.
Tommy glanced at Maria and she subtly nodded towards the kitchen. He stood and cleared his throat before reaching his arms out towards his daughter.
"C'mere, let's get you somethin' to eat before naptime," he said, lifting Violet and taking her into the kitchen to give you both some privacy.
"What's going on?" Maria asked softly as she sat down in Tommy's place on the couch. You sighed and dropped your hands to your lap.
"I don't know," you said truthfully, "I'm so fucking angry at him, but..."
Maria pursed her lips knowingly. "But you still care."
You groaned and leaned back into the chair. "Yes."
"It's not like you're telling me or anyone else something we didn't already know," she said, "not after what happened with you and Angie in the middle of the street. I mean, look at you," she pointed to your bruised neck. "No one fights like that for someone they don't love."
"I don't love him," you said sternly, eyes flashing angrily in her direction. "You sound like Ellie."
"Okay, so if two people are telling you-"
"I don't want to talk about it right now," you abruptly stood up, brushing your palms on your jeans. "Sorry to barge in like this. I'm sure he'll be fine. I'm actually looking forward to a week of quiet," you tried to say confidently despite how tight your throat felt as you headed towards the door.
Maria called your name as she trailed after you, urging you to stay and talk, but you just pressed your lips together and shook your head.
"Seriously, I'm fine," you said, forcing a smile across your face. "I have some stuff to do so I'll see you guys at dinner or something."
Before she or Tommy could say anything else, you slipped out the door and rushed down the street, back towards home.
It wasn't until later that afternoon, after you had scrubbed clean the kitchen and bathrooms, doing anything and everything you could to stay busy, that you noticed the missing picture from the wall in the living room.

Note
Twilight wolf pack x small!reader (like idk five feet tall?) :>
Of course!
Jacob is 6â7â
Embry is 6â4â
Seth is almost 6â0â
Quil is just over 6â0â
Sam is 6â6â
In my headcanons paul is 6â5â
Sam
Sam is stated to be 6â6â in the books, which is the resource Iâm using for these headcanons.
Sam already feels like a monster, so having such a small imprint definitely makes him feel worse. He really struggles with being around you, completely out of fear of hurting you. He has nightmares about hurting you and you never talking to him again, and he wouldnât blame you.
Loves cuddling together. Itâs some of the only times he doesnât have to lean down so far it hurts his neck.
Finds you adorable.Â
Please convince him he isnât a monster.Â
Paul
Paul doesnât have a canonical height, so Iâm just going to say heâs 6â5â. I feel this in my bones, that is his height. No one can convince me otherwise.
Loves, absolutely adores, how short you are. Spends most of his time cuddling up to you and picking you up, throwing you over his shoulder. Loves picking you up to make out.Â
Calls you his teddy bear. If you listen closely, you can hear Quil fake-puking in the background.
Jacob
Jacob is 6â7â. Heâs the tallest of all of the wolves.Â
He really enjoys your height difference. It makes him feel like he can protect you, and he enjoys seeing the way you can just⌠hide behind him. It makes him feel better, less like a monster, because he can be there for you. He wonât let anything happen to you.
Itâs really hard to show affection, considering heâs both a more reserved person and heâs almost 2 feet taller than you. Loves throwing an arm over your shoulder.
Also loves knowing that no one will mess with you, he gives you that safety through being so intimidating to the creeps of the world.
Quil
Heâs 6â4â. Teases you relentlessly. Still loves picking you up and swinging you around in a giant bear hug.Â
Loves giving you hickies, just to remind everyone that even if he isnât there youâve still got a protective boyfriend ready to mess up anyone who even says something slightly nasty. No one will even try.
Embry
I canât imagine him viewing you all that different.
Seth
Seth often forgets that he is taller than you. It doesnât help that heâs the shortest of the pack, and most of the others are over 6â0â. It definitely means that he doesnât understand how tall he actually is; if you asked him, heâd probably say heâs like 5â6â.
Just remind him how tall he actually is, and that youâre still quite short. Heâll feel bad. Always leans down to kiss you, doesnât want you to hurt your neck.

Eddie Munson x popular reader, the reader and her boyfriend break up and to get over him, she uses Eddie as a rebound and he doesnât know it yet after months past. HAPPY ENDING!! your work is truly amazing
I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it! Thank you for requesting đŤśđť this one got a bit long but we have a happy ending!
Rebounds
Y/N was the worst at breakups. It didn't matter if the relationship was a week or a year, she reacted the same. But this time, it really hurt. She thought she and Seth would be together forever. She thought it would end in a wedding and a family.
But it didn't. It ended with her in tears and him driving away. It ended just like that, barely seconds to register how quickly it fell apart. She wasn't sure why Seth broke up with her, but it made her feel bad about herself. It made her feel unwanted and unloved. She hated it.
She wanted to feel wanted, desired and needed. She didn't want to be alone. She wanted someone to touch, kiss, and lose themselves with her. What she needed was a rebound.
~~~
She got as drunk as her body allowed. The room was slightly spinning and she swore the ground was moving under her feet. She felt like a mess, but she didn't look like it. She was an eye-catcher. She was single and every boy at the party knew it.
Her eyes were slightly blurry but she could see Seth walking into a bathroom with some girl on his arm. She rolled her eyes and walked outside to get air.
She sighed as the colder air calmed down her heated skin. The smell of cigarette smoke and weed filled her nose as she took a deep breath in. A few people were scattered around, but one person was sitting alone. So she walked and sat right next to them in the grass.
The prickles of grass slightly irritated her skin but it felt so nice to feel solid ground. She turned to see who she sat next to.
"Ah, Eddie the freak Munson," she said, not registering her thoughts were being spoken out loud.
Eddie scoffed to himself as he looked back at her. It was clear she was drunk, her eyes heavy. But she had this bubbly smile that Eddie felt like he couldn't be mad at.
"Ah, Y/N the girlfriend of dickhead Seth," Eddie thought his reply was funny until Y/N's smile dropped and a sad look crossed over her glossy eyes.
"Not anymore!" She spat, "he left me, can you believe that?" She scoffed. She was talking to Eddie like she had a thousand times before. But this was the first time she even looked in his direction.
"I truly can't," Eddie said honestly. If he had Y/N swooning over him he would probably never let her out of sight. Be glued next to her, always feeling her skin.
Eddie always had a crush on Y/N but with their drastic social differences, he knew he had no shot. She had been with Seth for as long as Eddie could remember. Seth never deserved her, but hell neither did Eddie.
Eddie sat and listened to her rant for over an hour. He got lost in her lips a few times but he could easily answer every question she asked. He felt bad for how hurt she was over the breakup, even worse knowing Seth was feet away sleeping with some girl he'd forget by tomorrow.
The night ended with Eddie bringing her home, and he figured he'd never talk to her again.
~~~
He was very, so very, wrong.
"God, I love when you do that," Y/N moaned. Her perfectly painted nails were tangled in his wild curly hair. His skilled mouth was leaving marks down her neck, then scattered around her chest. She loved the high of knowing she was marked by him. All the evidence of their hot and sweaty nights together was displayed on her neck. And she never covered them, why would she? She wanted Seth to know. She wanted Seth to see those marks and regret ever letting her free.
She was snapped back into the moment when Eddie's mouth traveled lower and lower. Her head was thrown back as his mouth explored between her legs.
~~
Even though it was all a rebound, she loved talking with Eddie. He had this adventurous and almost fantasy-like view of the world. He spoke as if he was playing a role on a big stage. His body was always moving with his words and every story he told held her attention from start to end.
She realized she liked doing more than just sex with him. She enjoyed spending time with him and learning about him.
She also realized that she was falling for Eddie. The way he kissed her, held her and opened every door. He was a gentleman and she tripped over her feet over him. She felt she should come clean about her intentions with Eddie, but she froze when he confessed.
"I think I might fall for you," he whispered. His eyes closed as he let the heaviness of his words fill the quiet air.
She was on his chest, his chin on her head as his fingers softly rubbed her arm. They were cuddled under the night sky, another night spent together.
She felt like her heart jumped at his words. But the feeling of guilt settled in her stomach. She took a deep breath and turned her head to look up at him. The apology on her tongue, but then he opened his eyes and looked at her. She felt stunned as she stared into his eyes.
She opened her mouth and the words fell out,
"I think I already did."
She felt real things for him and had the right intentions, so maybe he didn't need to know.
~~~
"EDDIE STOP!" Y/N screamed as she ran through the trailer park. Her sneakers hit the rocks underneath her feet, the sound of Eddie's laugh behind her.
Eddie was right behind her, he was fast with his movements. Before she knew it, she was off the ground for a split second. His arms wrapped around her and protected her body as he took them to the ground. She was laughing so hard that Eddie's face had a permanent smile.
He cushioned her fall, his back hitting the grass as she landed on top of him.
"I told you you'd regret throwing that french fry at me," Eddie smirked, a playful look in his eyes. She looked down at his huge smile, his dimples, and the pinkness of his lips.
"I regret nothing," she said, rolling her eyes but a smile on her face.
"Not even me?" He asked, his face turned serious
Y/N flicked from his eyes to his lips and back up again.
"Not even you," she said before she leaned in and pressed her lips against his.
~~~
Two months passed and their relationship was perfect. Y/N slowly forgot about her secret, so lost in the love she felt for Eddie.
But she should have known with a social life like hers, people began talking. She never kept Eddie and her a secret, proudly showing him off in school. And it wasn't to shove it in Seth's face.
Seth and his girl of the week got into a huge fight. He was stuck alone and single, watching his ex-girlfriend share spit with the town's freak. Something about it made him angry and annoyed. He hated to see them so happy, especially the freak. That freak was hooking up with his ex-girlfriend.
Once Y/N walked away, Seth slipped in. A smug look on his face as he leaned against the locker. Eddie looked at him confused, preparing to walk away but Seth was quick to push him against the lockers.
"What?" Eddie snapped, shoving Seth's hands off of him.
"In such a rush? I just want to talk, freak." Seth said a smile on his face but a glare in his eyes.
"We have nothing to talk about," Eddie said
"Oh, but I think we do," Seth argued
"Seth, leave him alone," Y/N said, coming to Eddie's rescue as she shoved Seth away.
"Oh come on, Y/N, don't you think Eddie deserves the truth?"
Eddie and Y/N froze at his words. Y/N didn't want to turn around, so she kept her back to him. Eddie looked at her confused then back to Seth for answers.
"Seth, don't," she warned. She could feel her fear coming up her throat.
"Don't what? Tell him he was a rebound? That you used him for your own sexual needs? Like a goddamn whore." Seth spat, a proud look on his face as tears welled in Y/N's eyes.
She felt like she couldn't breathe and her body was shaking as she clenched her hands into fists.
Seth smirked as he watched the two fall apart. "Sorry, man. Figured you should know your girlfriend is a slut." With that he walked off, leaving the hallway empty to Y/N and Eddie.
It took everything in her to turn around, she was so scared to see the look on his face.
"Eddie, I can explain," she said as she turned out, tears in her eyes. The sight of him crying was more painful than any breakup she ever had. The way his brown eyes were filled with sadness and betrayal. The pout on his lips as he held back loud cries, and the way his body trembled.
She reached forward and softly touched his arm, and he flinched. Almost as if her touch pained him even more. His tears were quick to turn hot and his pout turned into a scrawl. His eyes were angry.
"Nothing to explain. I should have known you were a liar," he scoffed. He felt angry at himself for being vulnerable with her, for letting himself think it was safe to fall in love with her.
"No! Everything I told you was the truth. I do really like you and I didn't want to say anything because I thought you'd hate me. I fell for you, Eddie. All of that was real." She tried to explain, crying as she desperately tried to find the words that would make him stay.
"Yeah, well you were right," he sighed, his eyes glaring at her as he stepped forward. He was so close she could feel his hot breath smacking her face. He was breathing hard, alerting her just how pissed he was. "I do hate you."
Y/N let out a small sob but recovered quickly. She swallowed more tears and held his face in her hands. "Please, Eddie. You have to believe me. I love you. I should have come clean, and I know that now. I didn't want to hurt you."
Eddie gulped as he felt like his throat was closing in. He hated watching her cry but a part of him thought she deserved it. He was tired of the preps using others and discarding any feelings. He was so hurt by what she did and felt betrayed. He also felt stupid for confessing anything at all.
"Believe you?" he scoffed, "You are just as selfish as everyone else. Using your power to take advantage of the low lives like me. You used me, and now expect me to believe you love me?" More hot tears slipped down his face, hitting her hands as she gripped his face.
"I do love you! I love you so much. It was a mistake but I promise you that by the second time we were together I knew it was more than a rebound. Please believe me. Please love me too." She begged, she leaned in and pressed her lips against his. The kiss was salty as their tears mixed in with their lips. He let out a soft groan as he kissed her back. She clung to his body like he would vanish into thin air.
He kissed her back until he had no air left in his lungs. He pulled away and gently removed her hands from his face.
"I'm sorry, but I can't." He choked out
"Eddie"
"I need some time, let me think about it?" He asked, but both knew it was an excuse to leave. She bit down on her lip hard, drawing blood as she stepped back. She looked down at the floor and nodded. Wiping her tears as she heard him walk away.
Eddie took one last look over his shoulder, watching as she slid down to the floor.
~~~
She gave him time, then more time. So much time, that after two months of nothing, she knew he was done.
She couldn't blame him. She broke his heart in an attempt to fix her own. He had every right to hate her, and she hated herself too. All those mean words he said were all the truth. He deserved way more than what she could have given him.
Eddie struggled to see her in school. He knew she was waiting for him to come back but he couldn't. He didn't want to be a pawn in the popular crowd. He could feel her eyes on him all the time, even if she wasn't there. His friends told him that she always looked his way but he couldn't look back.
Eddie never fell in love, and Y/N was the first one he felt something strong for and it all fell apart. He wasn't sure if they could get back to what they were.
All his friends told him to move on, so that's what he did.
~
Y/N was sitting next to Chrissy as Jason and Seth got their drinks. Y/N hated having to see Seth but he followed Jason around like a dog. And Jason went where Chrissy went.
Y/N was focused on her homework when Chrissy softly nudged her arm.
"Isn't that Eddie over there?"
Y/N looked up in seconds, a strong pain in her stomach as she looked straight ahead.
Eddie sat next to some girl, his arm thrown around her. She couldn't hear but she knew he was laughing from the way his body moved. Another couple sat across from them. The girl looked familiar but the boy didn't.
"Yeah, that's him," Y/N said, sinking down in her seat as she fought back tears. She went back to her homework, but the letters blurred together no matter how hard she focused.
"I'm sorry," Chrissy said as she wrapped her arm around her friend.
"YO Y/N, CHERRY OR REGULAR?"
Y/N groaned in embarrassment as the restaurant looked over at Seth as he yelled from the counter. She looked at him, answered Cherry, and looked right back down.
~
Steve was in the middle of a story when Eddie heard Seth's voice and heard her name. His body stiffened, alerting his date Tori. She looked at him worried but he was looking over his shoulder.
He gulped as he saw her. She was looking down at her books as Chrissy sat next to her, blue eyes glaring at Eddie with her arms crossed.
He found himself hoping she'd look up, even to see a small glance at her face. She must have felt his stare because she easily found his eyes.
It felt like the world froze for them, his eyes peering into hers. He knew he wasn't supposed to feel jealous and hurt that she was there with Seth while he sat next to his date, but fuck he was. He wanted to be the one bringing her the drink, at least Eddie knew what she liked without asking.
He watched as her eyes moved over, inches from him. It clicked that she was looking at Tori, his arm still wrapped around her. He could see the pain clear in her eyes, the small movement of hurt swimming through. She didn't look jealous or mad, just hurt. Curiosity got the best of her and Tori turned around. Upon seeing her, Y/N was quick to dart her eyes back down.
Eddie clenched his jaw as Seth and Jason took their seats, the back of their heads blocking his view from her.
"You okay?" Tori asked, her eyes now on Eddie.
"Yeah, I'm good," he said, turning his attention back to the table.
~
"Excuse me," Y/N said. She could feel the tears beating her so she quickly raced off to the bathroom. She turned on the water and splashed it on her face. She let the coldness sink into her skin as she took deep breaths. Once she felt collected, she walked out.
To her surprise, Eddie stood right outside the door.
"Oh hi," she said quietly, praying it wasn't obvious that she was crying in the bathroom. But it was, he could tell.
"You okay?" He asked softly, even if he was mad at her he'd always care.
"Trying to be. Is that all?" she asked, her tone was a tad snippy but she couldn't help it. She did not need him cornering her when she needed to go home and cry.
"Don't need the attuite. Just wanted to check on you." he snapped back. The tension was thick between them, some of it sexual.
"Oh, my dearest apologies. Yes, Eddie, I am doing so great! You see my ex-boyfriend told me he needed some time to figure out if we could save our relationship and if he was able to love me after my mistake. And two months later, here he is with his arm wrapped around another girl. So sorry that I don't feel like talking." She spat, her arms crossed as she felt anger running through her.
"Oh please," he scoffed, "how many days, or hours did you wait before you got with Seth again?"
"I am not with that asshole. I came here with Chrissy, Jason, and Seth tagged along. I've been giving you time like you asked. But as I can see, you made up your mind. So excuse me." She went to walk past him but he caught her arm.
"Eddie, please. I can't do this. I get it, we are over and I fucked up. Please let me leave." she begged, she couldn't look at him as she felt the tears appearing again.
Even though she asked, it hurt when he let her go. She quickly walked to her table and gathered her things, telling Chrissy she needed to go home.
Chrissy was quick to follow her out, but Eddie was already ahead of her. She stopped short, letting him get to her first.
~
"Baby wait," Eddie sighed as he jogged to catch up to her. She was angrily throwing her books into her car seat.
"Don't call me that!" she snapped, slamming her passenger door shut as she walked to the driver's side. "Your baby is inside waiting."
Eddie knew he deserved that blow, but he kept moving forward. He was gentle as he pressed her against her car. His body trapped hers as she looked everywhere but at him.
"She's not anything compared to you," he said softly, his hand cupping her jaw forcing her to look at him.
"And yet she's the one who has you. What do you want, Eddie? Hurt me as badly as I hurt you?" she whimpered. His thumb softly rubbed her tears away.
"I don't want to hurt you. I think I already did enough. I-I have never felt the amount of love I have for you and I didn't know if I should forgive what you did. I know I wanted to because I want you, but is that the right decision? That is what I needed the time for, and my friend Steve convinced me to try a date and if I couldn't get you out of my head, then I'd know. And here you are, looking eye-catching and making a man stop in his tracks. I'm sorry for not communicating and going the wrong way with this. I know you meant your apology, I realize that now. I believe you, and I love you too."
Y/N smiled at his words, she was going to get another chance. She wasn't going to ruin it by fighting more on this. They both fucked up and said things, but here they were.
Y/N stood on her tiptoes and smashed her lips on his. The kiss had so much more emotion and meaning than the others, making this their best kiss. He kissed her back just as hard.
Maybe they could work this out
Charlie and Casper watching a horror movie? Say less đ
⢠Charlie and Casper watchin a movie is like two kids watchin a movie. Constantly talking and commenting, hitting eachother and laughing, replaying the movie because neither of them were paying attention, shit like that.
â˘Charlie was in charge of drinks and snacks and Cas was in charge of the scenery. Got all the fluffy blankets, big pillows, and stuffed animals. Charlie got their favorite pizza, favorite candy, and some good drinks. The perfect movie night.
â˘Until Cas turned on a horror movie, not just any horror movie though, C and C's (Charlie and Casper) childhood horror movie. The movie that scared the shit out of both of them when they were kids. Made Charlie have nightmares and Casper be extremely paranoid for the next month.
⢠"Oh shit Cas,, This movie? Are you sure?" Charlie asked, a little hesitant. Maybe even a little scared. "Yeah! I thought because we watched it when we were kids and it scared the shit out of us, it would be fun to watch it again to see if it still does! What are you scared Charlie?" Cas cooed, leaning in to look at Charlie up close, taunting him. "No! I'm not scared.. Its fine! Yep,, fine, no problem." Charlie said.
Casper hit the start button and the movie started, Charlie slips his hand on Casperâs and they intertwine. âCharlie,, your hand is so sweaty.. â They spoke as they snapped their head toward Charlie. âYou are scared!â Casper exclaimed, a big cheesy smile forming onto their face. Charlie blushed so much his face turned completely red. âYea! I am scared, this movie almost made me shit my pants when we were kids!â He responded. Casperâs smile faded a bit, âItâs fine Charlie, we donât have to watch it.â Charlie smiled and grabbed the remote, turning the movie up. âItâs okay, Im ready to be scared, and I have you with me.â Cas gave Charlie a short kiss and turned to watch the movie.
Was it as scary as it was when they were kids? Absolutely. Did it scare them the say way is did before? Of course it did. Did they scream at every jump-scare? Charlie did. Did Casper laugh at Charlie when he screamed? Yep. Did they had a great time watching the movie? They had a great time.
Iâm sorry if this wasnt really what you wanted- I didnât have a real good idea for this one.
wc: 5.2k<3 part two here
You breathed a sigh of relief as you entered the gates of Jackson on your horse. You had just finished up patrol and was ready to collapse in your bed. You looked over at Dina and smiled. âMan, Iâm happy to be home.â
âMe too,â Dina agreed with a laugh. âThings got too intense out there.â
âYeah, luckily I was there to save your life.â
Dina scoffed. âOh, shut up. I had it but of course, you had to show off.â
You hopped off your horse and led it to the stables, passing it off to the man on duty. âHere she is,â you said. âGet your rest, Ginger!â
Dina said goodbye to Japan, running to catch up with you. âHey, I forgot to mention but Jesse said he wanted to throw a party tonight. Itâll be small, not too many people at all.â
You raised an eyebrow. âA party? Really?â
âYeah, itâll be fun! Jesse and his friends got some liquor and cups from Seth. Perfect timing too since everyone has the weekend off.â
âDina,â you began. But before you could continue, Dina cut you off.
âIâm not saying you have to drink with us! I know youâre a good little Christian girl,â she joked.
You frowned. âHey, thatâs not nice.â
âPlease come,â she begged. âIt wouldnât be fun without you.â
âWhat exactly do I bring to the table? Itâs not like I can do anything,â you said.Â
Dina stepped in front of you and placed her hands on your arms to stop you. âListen, just please come and stay for at least half an hour. If you want to leave, you can. I wonât stop you or try to convince you to stay. I wanna have a good time with my friends and youâre one of my favorites. Please donât let me suffer with all of Jesseâs friends. Theyâre⌠too male, almost.â
You sighed in defeat. âUgh, fine! Iâll go if you really want me to.â
Dina clapped her hands in excitement. âGood! Come, I have some clothes you can borrow thatâll look real nice on you.â
You groaned as Dina pulled you by your hand, taking you to her place. She couldnât contain how happy she felt. You never came to parties with her. They were rare and usually happened once every couple of months. Usually, you wouldnât give in to Dinaâs begging. You would just go home, curl up with a book and fall asleep before the party even began. Dina would come over the next day to tell you all the âsinfulâ things that went on. You didnât understand what half of the things she said even meant, you were far too sheltered growing up and focused on reading the Bible most of the time.
âWhoâs all gonna be there?â you asked as you walked inside her house.
âWell, I know Jesseâs whole group of friends are coming. Then thereâs you, me, andâŚâ she trailed off, looking away. You tilted your head to try and catch her attention. She fought hard not to look your way but you still kept trying to make eye contact until she finally looked at you. âEllie,â she almost whispered. You sneered at the mention of the Williams girl.
âUgh, I shouldâve known,â you murmured. âOf course Ellie would be there.â
âSeriously, why do you two bicker so much?â Dina asked. âItâs like watching two kids fight over a toy. Or⌠really, more so like watching someone yell at a puppy for no reason.â
Your face fell. âOh no⌠am I the puppy Dina? Please, donât say Iâm the puppy.â
Dina bit her lip and shrugged. âI mean⌠your comebacks are⌠something else.â
âWhat? Are you saying I canât be mean?â
Dina couldnât hide the smile growing on her face as she tried not to laugh. âYou once said âbless your heartâ and that youâd pray for her.â
You scoffed as she broke into fits of laughter. âHey, âbless your heartâ is the worst insult to receive where I come from! Sorry I felt bad afterwards and told her Iâd pray for her!â
âOh, Iâm just messing. Itâll be alright. Iâll tell Ellie to cool it. I honestly donât think she means anything by it. Youâre just easy to tease,â Dina said as she made way to her closet. She pulled out a black longsleeve and extremely short shorts. âHere, wear this.â
You made a face at the outfit. âIs that not a bit⌠much?â
âLoosen up a bit! I think itâll look real nice on your figure. Make the girlies pop out a little,â she said with a wink.Â
You undressed and put the outfit Dina gave you on. She was right but left out the fact that the shorts revealed too much, your ass practically hanging out. The shirt fell just above your belly button. Dina gawked at the sight of you. âHey, you should dress slutty more often.â
You couldnât help but to admire yourself in the mirror. You were big on dressing as modest and comfortable as possible. You didnât realize you had curves until now. âWow⌠I think I kinda like this?â
âWhat can I say, Iâm a genius,â bragged Dina.
-
You and Dina arrived at the party an hour later. Jesse opened the door and stopped in his tracks. Dina grinned. âI know right?â
Jesse looked you up and down then back at Dina. âWow, Iâm impressed,â he said, complimenting the both of you. âCome in.â
As you walked in, everyone stopped and stared. âHoly shit, you clean up nice!â one of the boys exclaimed. You shifted and looked down at the ground, too anxious to look at anyone. You were way out of your comfort zone but a part of you sort of enjoyed it. Your eyes wandered over to the couch where Ellie sat. She was rolling a joint, paying no mind to you.Â
Dina walked over to her and leaned to whisper something in her ear. You stood there, watching Ellieâs face twist in disgust. You tried reading her lips, it looked like she said your name followed by the word âsensitive.â Dina smacked Ellieâs shoulder. Ellie began searching around the room until her eyes landed on you. Her eyebrows went up before turning to Dina. You couldnât see her lips anymore but saw a smirk grow on Dinaâs face.
Everyone took a shot and headed towards the couch. You followed, sitting on the ground next to Dina. You were kinda mad that to your right was Ellie, who now sat on the edge of the couch so the guys could sit next to her. She was so close that you could smell the soap she used. Ellie looked down at you, holding the joint out. Before you could decline, she passed it to the guy sitting next to her instead. âShit, I forgot,â she said. âYouâre too good to smoke.â
You glared at her smug face. âI donât think Iâm too good to smoke.â
âWell, youâre too good to drink.â
She reached over to grab an unopened bottle from the table. She grabbed two glasses and poured the liquor into each one. âIâm not too good to drink either!â you exclaimed, defending yourself.
Ellie chuckled. âRight,â she muttered. She went to grab the shot but you grabbed it first, downing it quickly. You coughed as it burned your throat.
âWoah,â Ellie blurted out sarcastically. âYou took one shot, cool.â
You grabbed the other glass angrily and downed it too, slamming it back down on the table.Â
âJesus!â said Dina, grabbing your shoulder. âTake it slow, you donât wanna get sick.â
At this point, the joint had reached Dina. She passed it to you to pass over to Ellie but you took a hit instead. You inhaled the smoke deeply and blew it out without coughing. You handed it to Ellie who had a playful smirk on her face. âWow, I think Iâm actually impressed.â
âWhatever,â you uttered, standing up to leave the circle. You went into the kitchen to take another shot. For some reason, you felt you had to prove to Ellie that you werenât just a goody two shoes and that you could have fun. You knew that in order for the Jackson dealer to take you seriously, you would have to commit.Â
After a couple shots, you slightly stumbled back to the circle. Dina looked concerned until you giggled. âOh, boy. This is great,â you slurred, your eyes heavy from the weed. Dina laughed and wrapped an arm around you. âFinally! Iâve been waiting for you to let loose!â
You looked up at Ellie, who was looking further down than your face with furrowed brows. She looked back up and quickly turned away. âLightweight,â she said.
âOh, shut it, Ellie,â you snapped. âJust for a second could you please just shut up!â
Ellie laughed. âGood Christian girl suddenly thinks sheâs the shit all cause she took a hit off a blunt and a couple shots.â
Everyone groaned, tired of the constant arguing between the two. Every time they were in a room with them, Ellie would make fun of you until you couldnât take anymore and left. They knew Ellie wasnât fully serious, she liked picking on you because she thought it was hilarious that you couldnât take a joke. But part of her started to despise you without her knowledge. Everyone loved you. You were sweet and would pray with anyone who wanted to pray. You would give back to the community and greet everyone who walked past you. Ellie thought it was all an act and grew tired of it.
You, on the other hand, never liked Ellie. She was a dealer who spent all of her free time smoking pot and sleeping around. You didnât think that was any way to live. You hated the influence Ellie had on your friends. Everyone thought she was funny. You couldnât understand why.
âLetâs play never have I ever!â Dina suggested, an attempt to break the silence and to lessen the tension that built up in the room. Everyone agreed and put all ten of their fingers up. You followed along, waiting for someone to start.
âOkay,â Dina started. âLoser has to go streaking.â
Everyone cheered. You frowned, unsure if you still wanted to play. âBut!â said Dina, causing everyone to be quiet. âUsually, youâre out if you put all your fingers down. But⌠whoever is left with the most fingers up is the loser.â
You nudged Dina, giving her a look. âYou know Iâm gonna lose,â you whispered. Dina shook her head. âDonât worry about it. Just lie.âÂ
âIâll start,â said Jesse. âNever have I ever⌠made out with someone on patrol.â
Everyone put their fingers down except you.
âNever have I ever⌠had sex during patrol,â Dina said. Almost everyone put their finger down. They looked at you, waiting for you to say something. You decided to take Dinaâs advice and start lying to avoid being the loser.
âNever have I ever snuck out.â
You put a finger down along with everyone else. Ellie scoffed. âYeah sure,â she muttered. âNever have I ever had sex.â
You put a finger down, knowing that wasnât true. Ellie kicked your knee lightly. âWow, youâre getting some? Tell me, who?â
You looked over at Dina, your eyes wide as you tried to come up with a lie. Some girl who passed through Jackson? Some girl you met before Jackson? Your head started to hurt trying to come up with an excuse.
âWho?â Ellie asked again. âWhoâs the lucky guy?â
âGirl,â Dina corrected. âSheâs not attracted to men.â
You nodded, not really caring that Dina had outed you. You knew that you were surrounded by people who wouldnât judge. Except for Ellie, even though she wasnât straight herself.
Ellie looked genuinely shocked. âReally? Whoâs the girl?â
You shrugged. âIâm not gonna name drop.â
âBecause this girl isnât real,â said Ellie. âLying is a sin. You would know. You just donât want to be the loser.âÂ
âHey, itâs not fair to lie,â one of Jesseâs friends complained. Suddenly, everyone started whining about how it was against the rules. Either you say who it was or admit that youâre lying. You felt heat rise to your cheeks in embarrassment. Ellie was grinning but it went away when she saw tears in your eyes.
âIâm teasing, man. Chill⌠donât be a crybaby about it.â
âFuck you, Ellie,â you spat out. A few people gasped, including Dina. She turned to Jesse, resting her head on his shoulder. She felt guilty for suggesting to play the game and for telling Ellie to be nice. Dina realized it just made her pick on you even more.Â
Ellie wasnât sure what to say. She wasnât mad but she wasnât feeling good about the situation either.
âYouâre a real piece of shit,â you continued. âAlways throwing religion in my face, being mean, just⌠why? Why target me? Iâve always been nice to you even though I have never, ever liked you! So, fuck you, Ellie!â You sighed, running a hand through your hair. âI knew better. I shouldnât have come here when I found out you were gonna be here too. Just give it a rest, Ellie. Grow up!â
You stood up and brushed your shorts off. You faced your friends who all sat back quietly, avoiding your gaze. âSorry for ruining your fun, guys.â
You stormed up the stairs and into one of the spare bedrooms. You collapsed on the bed, your head spinning. You felt awful for how you reacted but felt she deserved it. You were worried you ruined the party until you heard music along with everyone singing loudly.Â
You heard a knock on the door. You got up, cracking it open. You were expecting Dina but felt your stomach drop when you saw Ellie. You tried to shut the door but Ellie stopped it with her hand, shoving her way inside and slamming the door shut and locking it. âIâm not here to bitch at you, I want to talk to you.â
âYou really want to make things worse?â
âYouâre right. I am a piece of shit,â Ellie hissed. âI know I go too far teasing you but you take everything seriously!â
âYou donât know me, Ellie,â you mumbled, too afraid to speak up in case your voice cracked. âI wonât lie and say that I ever cared for you. I donât like the way you choose to live your life but I still was kind to you. You never gave me a chance.â
âBecause you act like youâre better than everyone!â
âHow?â you shouted. âAll I want is to make friends with everyone, spread a little peace and love in this shitty world! Itâs comforting to me, Ellie! I donât think Iâm better than you or anybody. I enjoy making others happy and you enjoy making people miserable. Actually, just me. Because I have never seen you do this to others. You hate me and I wish you didnât! I hear how Dina talks about you and I see how you laugh with your friends and Iâm jealous. I know I couldâve liked you had you been friendly with me. Because I was angry at myself for judging you so quickly. It was wrong of me. But of course, I was right!â
You turned away from Ellie and sat down on the bed, your arms crossed over your chest. âI felt I had to prove that Iâm cool,â you continued. âI thought you would stop for just one night if you saw how cool I can be.â
âYou want the truth?â Ellie asked.
âYouâre always truthful. So, I might as well say yes even if I donât really give a shit.â
âI meant it when I said I was impressed earlier.â
You scoffed. âSure.â
âI canât even take two shots back to back like that.â
âStop teasing, Ellie. I am convinced that being torn apart by infected is less stressful than dealing with you.â
âJust shut the fuck up and let me talk, okay? Iâm leading into something.â
You flinched at her raised voice, slowly looking up to see her facial expression harden.Â
âIâm jealous of you,â she admitted. âIâm jealous that you can still believe in something and that you still care when everything is so fucked!â
You stood up, walking towards Ellie as she spoke. âIâd give anything, anything, to be that way. I had bitter feelings towards you. I think I wanted to tear you down so you wouldnât be so⌠sweet. Giving, caring, everything I never could be.â
You watched her face closely, trying to figure out if she was telling the truth.Â
âI fuck girls like you and ignore them so they can hurt. Maybe I want the world to suffer with me,â said Ellie. âBut I couldnât do that to you. Youâre too⌠good. I had to find another way.â
You paused as you connected what she said together. âWait, you wannaâŚ?â you trailed off, too shy to say it.
Ellie scratched her neck awkwardly. âWell, I did⌠but youâd never do that.â
âI might have,â you said, almost feeling ashamed of how bold you were being. You never would have thought this sober but Ellie was really pretty. If the circumstances were different, you knew that she would be your type.Â
Ellie was taken aback by your statement.
âWhat?â Ellie questioned.
âNot now, since I know you wouldâve ignored me.â
Ellie stepped closer to you, eyeing your body up and down. She thought you looked good tonight and couldnât help but to peek at your tits when you werenât paying attention, or your ass when you were turned away.Â
âI⌠know I wouldâve back then,â Ellie whispered, getting even closer to you. She stood above you, watching as your face turned red. Your heart sped up. You wondered why your panties started to feel a bit wet at the sight of Ellie looking down at you. You usually never got turned on. Ellie was right, you were just a good Christian girl who didnât do anything. You never even tried touching yourself. Since you were breaking the rules now, you thought maybe you could break some more and pray for forgiveness later.
âIâm not so sure now,â Ellie continued, reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind your ear. âI never knew you were hiding that under all those baggy clothes.â
âA-Are you saying that in a bad way?â
Ellie shook her head. âWhen I first saw you earlier, I told Dina I kinda wanted to fuck you.â
Your breath hitched. âWhat did⌠Dina say?â
âThat if I was nicer,â she said, stepping closer so there was almost no space left between your bodies. âI just might get to.â
Ellie caressed your cheek slowly. âAm I nice enough now, pretty girl?â
Your panties were soaked at this point. Your body trembled, afraid that you wouldnât know what to do since it was your first time. Even though ten minutes ago you didnât like the girl, you suddenly wanted nothing more than to be underneath her.
âI really⌠was lying earlier,â you mumbled.
âI know you were.â
âYou donât care that Iâve never⌠had sex before?â
Ellie smirked. âIâm glad youâve never been fucked before. I want to be the one who corrupts you. I want everybody who fucks you after me to be a disappointment so you come crawling back. Youâll never find better than me, not even your own hand.â
Ellie leaned down, her lips brushing against yours. You pulled away to speak. âI donât even do thatâŚâ
Ellie chuckled. âReally? Little church girl donât know how to please herself?â
Usually, you would get mad at Ellie for saying stuff like that. Now, her insults just made you throb even more.Â
âHave you even kissed before?â
You bit your lip shyly and shrugged. âNot⌠really. When I was 13, a boy tried kissing me and I didnât kiss back.â
âAw, poor pup,â Ellie teased, running her fingers on the exposed skin of your tummy. âI get to teach you everything.â
Finally, Ellie collided her lips with yours. She was super gentle, placing her hand on your cheek and brushing it with her thumb. You melted in the kiss, pressing your thighs together to ease your aching cunt. The friction made it feel even better, causing you to release a soft moan into her mouth. Ellie pulled away, smirking at the noise you made. âI wanna hear more of that.â
âI donât know what Iâm doing,â you admitted. âI donât know if I can do anything to make you feel good.â
âYou want me to fuck you, donât you?â
You hesitated a bit before nodding. Of course you wanted that. You were just scared that youâd be bad at it since you had zero experience.
âThen let me fuck you. I get off to getting you off, understand?â asked Ellie.Â
âY-Yes.â
âGood girl,â Ellie praised. âLay down, baby.â
You obeyed and laid down onto the bed. You watched as Ellie slowly took your boots off and dropped them onto the ground. âLift your hips up for me?â
You lifted your hips and let Ellie pull your shorts off. Ellie bit her lip at the sight of your white cotton panties. She could see how soaked they were. âLook at that,â she breathed. You closed your legs to hide yourself but Ellie pulled them back open, holding your thighs down so you couldnât move. âFilthy little girl,â she cooed. âWhat would God say about this?â
Your breathing started to grow heavier. âI-I donât care what He would say,â you whined.
Ellie held back a moan that threatened to escape her lips. She pulled your panties off and threw them behind her.
âFuck,â she groaned. âYour pussy is so pretty.â
She tugged at your shirt until you got the hint to raise up. She lifted the fabric over your head and dropped it on the floor. You were completely naked while Ellie was fully dressed. She rolled her sleeves up, her eyes never leaving yours. She crawled on top of you and started making out with you passionately. Without pulling away, she started to unbutton her jeans and took them off swiftly. She shoved her knee against your dripping cunt, eliciting a squeal from you. She placed her hands on your hips and guided them up and down so you were grinding on her.
âJust like that, baby. Good girl.â
You started to moan louder, Ellie covering your mouth and shushing you. âAs much as I want to make you scream, you donât want anyone to hear and interrupt us, do you?â
You shook your head no. âWill you be quiet for me?â
âYes,â you whimper.Â
Ellie pressed her knee harder on your pussy. You started to go faster, mewling and biting your lip to keep quiet.
âSuch a good girl. You listen so well,â Ellie complimented. She took her knee away and brushed a finger up your slit. Your body jolted at the feeling. âYou want me to taste you baby?â
âPlease,â you almost cried out, desperate for whatever Ellie planned on doing to you. Ellie moaned at the sight of you squirming. She loved watching you unfold beneath her. To think she ever hated you was beyond her at this point. She wished she had done this sooner as she admired how beautiful you were.Â
âSay it,â Ellie demanded. âUse your words, pup.â
âE-Ellie, pleaseâ you begged. âF-Fuck me.â
Ellie tutted, shaking her head no. âI plan on fucking you anyway. I want you to beg me to eat you out.â
You were confused. Youâve heard Dina say that Jesse would âeat her outâ but you werenât sure what it really meant. Ellie saw the confusion on your face and laughed. âWow, youâre too innocent.âÂ
You started to sit up but Ellie pushed you back down softly. âI know what youâre thinking. I didnât mean it that way,â she apologized. âItâs okay that you donât know what that means. Iâll show you baby. You want that?â
You nodded. âYes, please show me.â
Ellie leaned down between your thighs and started peppering kisses all over them. You reached down to grip her hair as her lips got closer to your pussy. She flicked her tongue across your clit once and looked up at you. âDo you understand now, pup?â
âMm, yes Ellie.â
She smirked. âYou want me to continue?â
âPlease?â
Ellie chuckled as she went back down to your dripping cunt, licking it all up and swallowing. She savored the taste of you, going back down for more. You grabbed the pillow beneath your head to put over your face in an attempt to muffle your moans.
Ellie stopped and yanked the pillow out of your hands. âThey turned the music all the way up finally. You donât have to be quiet anymore. I wanna hear how good I make you feel.â
Ellie pressed her tongue against your clit and went back and forth between a circular motion and flicking it. You nearly screamed from the pleasure, your hands grabbing Ellieâs hair to pull her closer. She moaned against you, speeding her tongue up. She brought a hand up to play with your nipple, squeezing and pulling on it. Ellie used her free hand to gently push one finger in. You yelped, yanking Ellieâs hair harder. She pulled away and licked her lips. âToo much baby?â she asked, out of breath. You shook your head no and pulled her back to keep going.
Ellie loved how tight you felt. The feeling of you gripping around her finger made her want to bend you over and fuck you with a strap. She wished the party was at her place so she could have used all the toys she had on you.
A feeling began to build up in your stomach as you trembled harder. âE-Ellie!â you moaned, bucking your hips upward as you got closer and closer to cumming.
âCome on, baby. Thatâs it. Be a good girl and cum for me.â
All of the sudden, your body began to convulse as your orgasm hit you hard. Ellie slowly fingered you, riding it out until you pulled away from her. She brought her finger up to your mouth, forcing it open and shoving it down your throat. You sucked on her finger with a moan.
âSuch a good girl,â Ellie praised, elated with how quickly you catch on.
âWow,â you mumbled, out of breath from all the noises you made. âNever in a million years did I think Iâd lose my virginity to you.â
Ellie sent you a sly smile. âI never knew Iâd take it.â
You raised up slightly, leaning against Ellieâs shoulder. âAre you still going to be mean to me?â
Ellie sighed. âNo, baby. Thatâs all over now.âÂ
âGood. Do I put my clothes on now?â
âWhy do you have to ask for my permission?â Ellie questioned with a laugh.
You giggled. âWell, I like⌠asking you.â
âWell, then no. I think I want to fingerfuck you some more. Can you take that?â
You froze, looking up at her with a fucked out expression. You were exhausted but didnât want your time with Ellie to end. âMhm, I think so.â
Ellie leaned back a bit and grabbed you. âCome lay in my lap, baby. Ass up.â
You complied and laid down, arching your back in excitement. Ellie rubbed her hand over your ass, squeezing tightly as you moaned. âTell me, did you pray for me?â
Before you could ask what she meant by that, she shoved two fingers into your dripping cunt. You yelped as she fucked you with them slow and hard. âThat one time when you got mad at me for making fun of you, you said youâd pray for me. Did you?â
Ellie sped her movements up as she went deeper inside you.
âFuck!â you yelled out, trembling and kicking your feet at the feeling.
âAnswer me, pup, or Iâll stop,â Ellie threatened.
âYes!â
âYes what, baby?â
âYes! God, yes, I prayed for you!â
Ellie went even faster as you got closer to cumming again. âAtta girl, such a sweet pup. Praying for a sinner like me.â
âEllie! Fuck! I-I prayed for you everyday!â you babbled, unable to speak without getting interrupted by your own sounds of pleasure.
âYeah? Told God how bad you wanted me? Told Him all your dirty thoughts, you filthy slut?â
You moaned louder, bucking your hips up towards Ellie . âYes!â
âYouâre gonna ask for forgiveness, arenât you? Like the good Christian girl you are.â
âMm, yes, Ellie,â you whined, your orgasm about to take over you.
âThen ask, baby, ask.â
âGod, forgive me please,â you said in between moans as you finally came undone for her. The force of you cumming shook your entire body and made your eyes roll to the back of your head. You couldnât help but to repeat Ellieâs name until you started to come down, your body almost collapsing onto her lap.Â
âGood girl.â
Ellie helped you up onto your feet, your legs shaking. âLet me help you get dressed,â she offered.
As Ellie helped you into your clothes, you couldnât help but feel awful. âEllie? Did I⌠make God mad at me?â
Ellie stopped, placing her hands on your shoulders and staring deep into your eyes. âWho could be mad at an angel like you?â
You blushed, removing yourself from her grip and tugging your shirt over your head. You put your shoes on next and sighed, looking up at Ellie with a tired smile. âDo we say anything?â
Ellie shook her head no, quickly fixing your hair so it wasnât obvious what happened. âJust say we talked and you forgave me. I had one hell of an apology,â she uttered with a goofy grin. You laughed softly.
âSo, youâre not gonna ignore me, right?â
Ellie wrapped her arms around you for a second before stepping back, eyeing you up and down while heading towards the door. Your heart stung, wondering if maybe Ellie didnât mean what she said before.Â
âCome by tomorrow night,â said Ellie as she turned the knob. âIâll fuck you so good that you wonât question me again.â
Ellie left you standing there, your mouth open in shock. You waited a couple minutes before heading downstairs to the party.
âHey,â you heard Dina call out to you. She grabbed your hand and looked at you with concern. âI shouldnât have said anything to Ellie. It just made her worse. I begged her not to talk to you but-â
âDina,â you interrupted. âShe explained herself and I explained myself. Weâre all good.â
Dina looked surprised. âWhat? Really? You forgave her?â
You looked behind Dina to see Ellie back on the couch, staring at you with a grin as she puffed on her joint. You smiled at Dina and nodded. âOf course I forgave her. Her apology was genuine andâŚâ
âWhat did she say?â Dina pressed on.
You shrugged. âI canât remember everything she said but it was one hell of an apology.â
hi can i get a poly bittersweet trio w/ a reader who loves music and dancing? like whenever they go they have headphones in and they always have a song stuck in their head so they repeatedly tap their foot or something like that? thanks :)
Sound and Song
Alphonse x Seth x reader
It was a regular, slow Tuesday morning. Seth was taking a shower and Alphonse had just woken up. You were in the kitchen making breakfast.
You had a song stuck in your head, so you were kind of jamming out while preparing the food.
You were so lost in the music, you didnât notice Alphonse walk in. He was kind of surprised when he saw you, but kept his mouth shut and watched you for a few minutes. He didnât want to interrupt. You were so cute, after all.
He stood there smiling and watching you for a bit, but then decided to join you. You were surprised, but danced with him anyway.
âYo, what are we dancing to, Boo?â
âNothing!â You smiled and laughed.
This went on for a couple of minutes, when Seth walked in with slightly damp hair.
âYo, Seth, come dance with us!â Alphonse grabbed his hand and pulled him into the kitchen.
âOkay⌠what are we dancing to, exactly?â
âThatâs the thing, weâre not dancing to anything!â
He seemed hesitant but joined in away, smiling and laughing at the absurd idea of dancing to nothing.
Seth was actually a pretty decent dancer, and he spun you around a little bit, like you two were square dancing.
Then you were subject to watching Alphonseâs poor attempts at breakdancing, which ended up in him slipping and falling on the floor.
He didnât seem upset, though. Instead, he wound up laughing on the floor. Then you and Seth lied on the floor with him, still kicking your legs and laughing. The sound filled the kitchen.
All was well until you smelled something⌠you werenât sure what it was at first, but then you realized the food had been burnt because you were too distracted.
You sighed, exasperated. Your stomach still hurt from all the laughter. You poked at the food with a spatula.
Alphonse and Seth peeked over from your shoulder.
âDamn, looks like Alâs cooking.â Seth snickered.
Al didnât seem to disagree.
 As the weeks go by in the sweltering summer, you start to see Joel Miller everywhere. When youâre organizing and polishing weapons for FEDRA, you sometimes see him walk by. He always looks like heâs on a mission. Furrowed brows, a scowl across his sculpted face, a large hand running through his tousled greying locks, a bite to his words when heâs deep in conversation with one of the FEDRA soldiers.Â
   He seems to command people around him, acts as if he is the one ordering them around. You see they listen to him as he bites out a snarl their way, see the way they almost cower and canât seem to keep eye contact when heâs giving them valuable information. You should be afraid of him, you think, but youâre not. Youâre only intrigued more and more every single time you see him snap demands and push people to the edge.Â
   Heâs strong, broad, dominant. He likes to be in control, loves to push the soldiers to their breaking point like he did with Seth. He knows how to get his way, knows exactly how to play games with FEDRA.Â
   He could snap the neck of any man that even tried to get their hands on him or order him around. His menacing gaze is all it takes for them to back off enough, drop whatever argument they try to start. You know this because youâve been watching him on the streets when you work, stealing glances every second you can when you see the tall, broad man who saved you so many nights ago. Now youâre hooked.Â
   You catch his dark brown eyes on you all the time, flicking amber shades your way when he catches you off guard while youâre working. You feel the heat in your cheeks burn hot when his eyes skate down your body, pretending like you donât even notice. You notice, though. You always notice.Â
   His looks arenât harsh and threatening when he looks at you. His eyes are softer, jaw relaxed when he gazes your way. It calms you, like floating in a crystal clear lake in the middle of a quiet forest. Sometimes he nods your way, brushes against your shoulder as he passes you by on the busy streets, says a few words here and there in the dining hall. Itâs like clockwork now, your favorite thing of every day is just to get your eyes on him. Even if itâs just a flicker of his broad shoulders disappearing in a sea of people or a brush of his fingertips in the dinner line.
   Sometimes when youâre focused on sorting through weapons, you can feel his eyes on you. He watches, stares with those hungry brown eyes. Youâre not sure what exactly heâs hungry for, but you can tell heâs starving for something, begging for a taste of whatever that may be.Â
   You feel his vision burn holes through your skin, feel the sweat glide down your skin when you look up and lock eyes with him. It makes you dizzy, makes you choke on a gasp when he focuses intently on you. He watches you day after day, this much you know. You donât exactly know why, but maybe heâs trying to be protective, watching you from a distance to make sure you donât get into any more trouble. You donât mind. In fact, you prefer him to. Having a handsome, older man looking out for you is the last thing you expected here in the Boston QZ, but it made living here that much better.Â
   He sees you shining FEDRA weapons day after day, watches the way you take careful attention to wipe every speck of grime off the sturdy edges of the guns. Sometimes you donât look up, too busy working to notice him staring your way.Â
   He tries not to look, careful to not stare too long, afraid heâll awaken something he shouldnât ever feel again. But when you lift your face and catch his eyes, he canât help but stop and stare for just a few seconds too long. He thinks your eyes are the most beautiful shades of gemstones heâs ever seen, sparkling like glitter when they catch the rays of golden sunlight.Â
   He sucks in a breath, clenching his jaw before he turns and gets back to work. He hates to admit that he finds you attractive, glowers at the fact that he cares what happens to you.Â
   He shouldnât dare start the cycle, shouldnât walk the narrow ledge of developing feelings for a girl, especially a younger, absolutely gorgeous girl like yourself. Heâd be a foolish man to even entertain the idea of thinking of you that way. But heâs fucked either way, so why not break his own rules. Hell, he already broke those rules when he fucking dreamt of you the other night. Your body splayed wide across his sheets, sweat collecting like rain over his skin every time he tasted the sweet jasmine scent of you, his lips crowding yours while your nails dragged down his back, your moans filling the shell of his ear with lust and want.Â
   He snaps himself out of the moment and continues on with his day, giving you one more flick of his greedy eyes while you watch him walk the opposite way all wide-eyed and intrigued. Heâs so fucking stupid for wanting you, but he canât lie to himself that heâs not interested. Ever since he saved you from that piece of shit Seth, heâs wanted to take care of you. Thatâs the last thing he needs. Someone else to look after, but maybe he can keep himself away.Â
   He chuckles to himself, scoffing at his own arrogance. Of course he canât stay away, at least not for long. Heâs fucking hooked off a girl that wandered into the QZ gates just a few months ago looking for a means to find a home. You didnât come looking for him, but he sure as hell found you.Â
   And now heâs fucked.
   The end of a long work day drags to a close when you scuff your feet over the warm pavement. The sky is murky, dark clouds collecting above you that threaten rain at any second. You make your way down the filthy streets, passing soldiers that brush past you and look you over as if youâre trouble. You just roll your eyes and huff, carrying yourself back to the warmth of your own falling apart apartment walls. At least there FEDRA canât see you, canât order you around like they do day after day.
   The humid air fills your lungs, the dark clouds opening up to patter rain down on your tired shoulders. Just a little longer, a few more feet and youâll be inside. Almost there. Almost.Â
   All of a sudden, you collide with a broad chest that feels like a thick brick wall. You gasp, thinking itâs a FEDRA soldier, eyes wide with fear until you look up and find familiar syrupy eyes, softer than the last time you saw them. Joel.
   He clasps a hand around your bicep and stops you dead in your tracks. âWell, look what we got here. In a hurry there, darlinâ?â He smiles down at you, a crooked grin splayed across his plush lips, a trail of dust covering the top of his forehead, lines mapped out as he knits his thick eyebrows together.Â
   Sheesh. He looks so good.
   âJust heading back home.â You give him a tight-lipped smile, not giving away the heat that builds underneath your warm cheeks.Â
   âI see.â His eyes rake up and down your body, just a mere couple seconds. Enough to simmer heat low in your stomach. âYou doinâ okay? Seth ainât givinâ ya anymore trouble, is he?â His jaw ticks just the slightest, irises darkening as he thinks about the night he attacked Seth.
   You shake your head, crossing your arms to taper off the nerves running wildly through your veins. âIâm okay. Just getting by. And no, Seth hasnât even crossed paths with me since that night he⌠since youâŚâ Your voice falls off as you swallow the words. Since he saved you.
   He nods his head, a small smirk appearing like he mightâve said something else to Seth without you knowing. You can see him pushing Seth against the wall, his meaty hands wrapped tightly around Sethâs shirt, black eyes narrowing while he bites a sharp demand to stay away from you. And thatâs exactly what you think he did.Â
   Your eyes grow wide at the realization. He was like a protective watchdog, always ready to snarl his teeth and attack if someone messed with what was his. But you arenât his, so why did he feel the need to even do that for you?
   His head cocks to the side, a lazy smile sliding across his lips, making his coffee colored eyes shine that much brighter. Jesus. Heâs so fucking hot.Â
   âMightâve straightened him out. Iâve been keepinâ an eye on him. Donât worry âbout him. Itâs taken care of.â
   You stand there staring, mouth agape like youâve got a speech impediment, words stumbling out of your mouth like youâre in front of a full gym giving a speech. âOh. You didnât have to⌠I mean, I couldâve handled it.â
   âDidnât seem like it,â he mutters, dark eyes pooling in your vision as he shifts his weight, the tight denim button-up clinging to strong arms, biceps bulging with every moment he makes in the heat of the day.Â
   You groan, biting the inside of your cheek before you say something stupid. He relaxes his jaw and gives you a smirk like heâs up to no good. When you donât say anything else, he mutters another sentence. âFEDRA keepinâ you on your toes?â
   âHowâd you guess?â you huff, eyes locked on his tightly.
   He chuckles and gives you a slight shrug of his broad shoulders. âIâve seen you around. Workinâ on shining those weapons. See how miserable you look.â
   You gawk at him, unbelief in your wide eyes. âSo youâve been watching me?â You cross your arms and cock your hips, one eyebrow raising as you wait for his answer.
   He pushes his thick fingers through his sweat-filled tousled curls and stutters, ticking his jaw as he looks carefully at you. âNo, thatâs not⌠Iâve jusâ seen you around the QZ. Thatâs all.â He leaves it at that with a disgruntled huff.
   You take your tongue and run it along your bottom teeth, assessing the lie that falls right out of his mouth. You know heâs lying through his teeth. Youâve seen him watching you, day after day. He canât fool you, but you play along with his little game. âHmm. Okay then.â He gives you one more cautious look and flexes his fingers, pushing them deep inside his pockets.Â
   Before he can say anything else, rain starts pelting down, soaking through your worn t-shirt as you try to cover your hair. âShit. Câmon, letâs get out of the rain.â He grabs you by your bicep and leads you up his staircase, out of the drizzling rain. You mindlessly follow him, thankful to get out of the soon to be monsoon. And then there you are, standing in his quiet living room, just like that day he took care of you after the FEDRA incident.
   âYou want some tea?â he asks as he slams the door, sliding past you as he stalks into the dimly lit kitchen.
   âUmmm yeah, sure,â you answer as you watch him get some tea bags and mugs out of the stained cabinet.
   âTea ainât my usual choice, but it sure beats havinâ nothinâ. Shit, what I wouldnât do for a fresh pot of coffee,â he sighs as he starts to boil hot water over the stove.
   You lean against the chipped kitchen counter, twiddling your thumbs nervously as you listen to the rain fall softly on the glass window, your eyes looking up through your long lashes as you watch Joel work. He paces impatiently, tapping his thumb against the worn-out fridge, his denim button-up straining against thick biceps every time he flexes his arms.
   How can he be so hot and dismantled at the same time? It shouldnât be allowed.
   Gulping, you take a breath and say the first thing that comes to mind. âHow did you like your coffee?â
   He turns his head quickly, his threaded eyebrows relaxing slightly, giving you a once over, a move that makes you shiver in place. âJusâ black.â
   âNo creamer?â you smile.
   âDoes it look like I like creamer?â He gives you a stern look, but all you can do is shrug and give him a tight-lipped smile to try to alleviate his grumpiness.
   âI dunno. Guess a tough man like you doesnât like sweet things in their life?âÂ
   He ticks his jaw and laughs, running a palm down his patchy beard slowly. âAinât nothinâ sweet in my life, darlinâ.â
   âWould you want something sweet in your life?â Your eyes grow wide at the realization of what you just said. You were basically asking him if he wanted you. What the hell did you do that for?
   His chocolate eyes grow a shade darker as he assesses you, one eyebrow raising in curiosity while his mouth stays in a firm line.Â
   Great, now heâs even more grumpy.
   But ever so slowly, he answers with a hint of amusement in his deep voice. âDepends on whoâs askinâ, I guess.âÂ
   The room grows silent as you look down at your dirt-covered boots mindlessly, nerves pounding through your skull. When you have the guts to look up again, his eyes are still fixed on you. And suddenly, the room grows ten degrees hotter.Â
   Youâre about to say something stupid, but he drops his gaze and tends to the tea. Apparently, it started to boil over when sweat pricked the back of your neck after he looked at you like there was fire licking his dark brown irises.Â
   You wonder what itâd feel like to lick along hisâŚ
   âHere.â Joel interrupts your heated thoughts and hands you a ceramic mug, the warm tea steaming out of the top, surrounding your senses with a hint of citrus and honey. He nods to the table and demands you sit, his eyes swarming yours as he takes a place across from you, a blue mug of his own in his large hand, fingers curled over the sturdy handle.
   You carefully sit against the rickety wooden chair, gently blowing on your tea, cooling it down just like your body needs. Joel puts you on edge, and itâs terrifying that you feel this way about him. You should be very afraid of a man of his stature. He could kill a man in a split second but oddly, that just makes you feel at peace.
   An awkward silence falls over the room, the pelting rain against the window the only noise to save you from your racing thoughts. He saved you, took you in yet again, gave you a place to shelter from the rain, made you tea. You should thank him. You will thank him.
   Taking a generous sip from the citrus flavored tea, you clear your throat and meet his dark eyes with yours. âUmm, thank you, again.â
   âFor what?â He sets his cup against the dusty table and shifts his eyes back to yours, something like surprise taking light.
   âFor getting me out of the rain and for the tea.â
   He nods his head, and a faint smile shadows his plush mouth. âIt was nothinâ. Donât mention it.â A slight grunt leaves his lips when he slides to the back of his chair, his tousled curls moving ever so faintly with the movement. Silver threads line his sandy hair, and you canât help but to wonder what itâd feel like to run your fingers through it. It probably feels like silk. Smooth and velvety.Â
   Rain continues pounding against the brick building, shades of muted greys lining the outside sky, night drawing near. Your eyes shift to the corner of the room, and you notice an old acoustic guitar with worn-out strings, still intact.Â
   Leaning forward and nodding to the guitar, you say, âYou play?â
   Joel whips his head around and huffs when his knee knocks against the leg of the wooden chair. âMhm. Played a long time. Found it in an abandoned building out on a run. Figured it needed a new home.â
   Taking a second to assess his calm features, you pry just a little more, clearing the air. âWould you play something?â
   His jaw ticks, threading his eyebrows together in concentration. âYou donât wanna hear me play,â he laughs, shaking his tousled curls in return.Â
   âPlease?â you whisper gently, making puppy eyes at him, hoping the innocent look can convince him enough.Â
   He looks at you intently, his eyes softening just the slightest, flexing his fingers like heâs trying to resist. He wants to resist but ultimately, he ends up giving in when you push him that much further with a small smile.
   âOh, Christ. Fine. Why the hell not?â He grunts as he raises to his feet, heavy boots dragging over the thick flooring. Watching him grab the rustic guitar and bringing it back to his chair, he collapses and crosses one leg over his knee and positions the guitar securely in his arms. âJusâ donât give me a hard time. The guitarâs out of tune, and Iâm out of practice,â he scoffs.
   âI would never,â you smile, feeling a blush creep along your cheeks as his eyes flick to yours for just a couple seconds, enough to make your stomach flutter from the contact.Â
   He drops his head back down and hums, taking a moment to run his calloused fingers along the thin strings, dust blowing in the low lighting of the dining room. After a beat of silence, he starts strumming, a quiet melody flowing through the room, making a gentle lullaby that could put you to sleep.
   You canât help but stare in awe as his thick fingers meticulously strum along the cords, each note more beautiful the longer he plays. Heâs well experienced, probably played for years before the outbreak, and it makes a small smile curl against your mouth as you watch Joel lose himself to the song.Â
   âFuture Daysâ by Pearl Jam. It takes you seconds to recognize it. Itâs a song your dad used to play you in his truck. A song that meant a lot to you because it reminded you of the good days. Days where there was no worrying about being killed or mauled by a clicker, only worrying about getting through the days that were filled with sunshine and laughter. Days that werenât dark and ominous like today.
   But Joel? He seems to light up the room, even through his grumpy demeanor. Heâs got a soft side. Heâs got passion. And music was clearly a passion of his in a time before this.Â
   You canât describe it, but you love watching him. The slight pinch of his eyebrows, the crease of the deep wrinkles that map along his tanned forehead, and his eyes. Dark chocolate pits that seem to sparkle every once in a while. Like right now. Theyâre practically glowing and God, they look so beautiful. You wonder what itâs like to drown in those shades of brown. You might just float instead of sink.Â
   âFuture Days, yeah?â You let the words slip out, his eyes immediately shifting up to yours while his fingers still fluidly strum along the strings.
   His brows pinch together in speculation, his eyes flicking over you in deep assessment. Clearly surprised at the words that just came from your mouth. âYou know Pearl Jam?â
   âOf course I do. Theyâre one of my favorites.â
   He lifts a brow quizzically and looks at you dumbfounded. âDidnât take you to be the type to like rock music.â
   âGuess you donât know enough about me to make that sort of judgment, huh?â you banter off, crossing your arms across your chest and giving him a snide smirk in return.
   âI reckon notâŚâ He continues playing quietly, the soft melody floating through your ears like the rolling tides of the ocean, waves crashing through your chest. His deep brown eyes meet yours again and then he just stares, something forming in his glowing irises but yet still leery. Heâs not sure about you, but heâs damn curious, thatâs for sure.Â
   But youâre not far off because youâre more than curious about him. You want to probe deep inside that locked up mind of his. Maybe take a key and pry it open so you can paint a pretty picture in there just so you can see what makes him tick.Â
   After a beat of silence, except for the strumming of cords and the pelting of rain, Joel speaks again. âYou ever play?â
   You shake your head and smile. âNo, always wanted to, though. Never got the chance to before all hell broke loose in the world.â
   âMmm. I see,â he hums, and then he goes silent again. His eyes still roam over you, maybe even trying to unlock a piece of your mind. Thatâs what it feels like when he stares at you like that. All deep and intense, like he just might swallow you whole one of these days.
   âYou give lessons?â you ask quietly, hoping your question wonât send him pushing you out in the cold rain.
   âDepends on the day. Depends whoâs askin.â Thatâs all you get from him. Itâs neither a yes nor a no, but you have a feeling that tiny crack of a smile thatâs blooming on his lips means itâs a yes. And you canât help but feel all warm and tingly from the anticipation of those strong arms around you, guiding your fingers, lips brushing against your cheek, eliciting commands that you just have to obey.Â
   Joel Miller is a menace on the streets of the QZ, but deep down heâs got a soft spot. And you think you just might find it.Â
   Minutes go by, maybe even an hour. You donât keep track. All you can focus on is the quiet strum of the guitar, his wandering brown eyes, his hidden smile that peeks out at just the right moments, the deft fingers that guide along the worn strings. Youâre hypnotized by him, and you just canât stop looking at the tall, broad man with pretty eyes.Â
   Itâs not until he stops playing and sets the guitar against the wall that you see the faint glow of the digital clock reflecting off the black stovetop. Your eyes grow wide, and it doesnât take long for Joel to see what youâre staring at.
   âShit. Itâs after 7:45 p.m., past curfew,â he murmurs, pushing a hand roughly through his tousled curls like he fucked up big time.
   âOh no. I completely lost track of time! Iâm sorry, I should go.â You push yourself forcefully out of the wooden chair and rush toward the front door. Just as youâre trying to pry it open, Joel pushes hard against it and growls.
   âNo!â
   âNo?â you ask shocked, standing back to look into those focused dark eyes.
   He sighs and shakes his head. âYâcanât be caught outside after curfew, remember? FEDRA would have your ass.â
   Taking a moment to compose yourself, you snake your arms across your chest and mewl. âWell, what am I supposed to do?â
   Joel flicks his eyes toward the leather couch and back at you, weighing his options carefully, and then he sighs. âYâcan stay here for the night.â
   Dropping your arms in disbelief, a soft awareness spreads over your surprised face. âAre you sure? I donât want to cause you any trouble.â
   ââMâsure. And donât worry âbout it, trouble,â he smirks with the flash of his teeth. âGot a spot right over on that couch with your name written on it.â
   You chew your bottom lip and smile. âGuess thanks are in order then.â
   He laughs and stammers out, âJusâ promise me to try to stay out of trouble, but I know thatâs hard for you since your nickname is trouble. Ainât that right?â A sly smirk spreads across his plush mouth, and an eyebrow ticks up slowly, like heâs calling you trouble all over again. You think itâs your new favorite word when it comes from his mouth.
   âGuess so,â you giggle, flipping your hair behind your shoulder.
   âUmm. I got a spare blanket and pillow yâcan use. Let me go grab âem.â He leaves the room and leaves you waiting, slowly removing yourself from the entryway and making your way toward the tiny living room. The one with the sunken couch and white curtains that hang loosely around the glass window that leads toward the FEDRA infested streets. Youâd rather not look out to see your prisoners that hold you captive in this city, so you divert your attention to the hanging portrait of a painted herd of wild horses that sits above the leather couch. Itâs prettier than facing the outside world where nothing but turmoil and death lay.Â
   âHere ya go. Hope thisâll do,â Joel says, handing you a fluffy white pillow and a soft beige blanket, warm enough to keep you cozy tonight.
   âThanks, Joel. Really, I appreciate this more than you know.â
   âItâs really nothinâ, darlinâ. Itâs the least I can do.â
   When your hand brushes against his rough skin, you freeze, gasping at the electric spark that zaps through your fingers. You think he feels it too because he jumps back and stares at the back of his hand, like he just got burned by your touch.Â
   Gently laying down the blanket and pillow on the couch, you watch him carefully, mulling about what just happened. It was nothing but yet, it was everything. All it took was one touch, and he fucking set your entire skin on complete fire.Â
   Breaking the thick tension, you help deter the awkward silence away. âHow long have you been here in the QZ?â
   He looks back up hesitantly, and the flames in his eyes immediately die out. âToo damn long.â
   âHow long?â you press.
   âClose to twenty years. Too fuckinâ long,â he scowls, something like anger contorting on the edges of his sculpted jawline. And you get a sense that this was never a home for him. It was just his own personal hell.
   âOh. That is quite a long time⌠I canât imagine being inside these walls that long,â you mumble, afraid to raise your voice beyond a whisper, not wanting to stir up a concoction of grief.
   Was that sadness beyond those deep brown eyes, golden flecks that reflect a hint of sorrow, tragedy, heartbreak? Youâd like to know. Maybe one day you can scratch that surface, see whatâs really under Joel Millerâs brick walls.
   âExactly. I canât imagine anyone beinâ here for even a year, but here we are. Jusâ some slaves to FEDRA. But I wonât let them boss me around. Hell, I boss them around most days,â he growls, a storm of violence in those pools of autumn darkness. âFuckers can only make me do so much. One of these days Iâm jusâ gonna snap.â A crack of thunder makes you nearly jump out of your skin, adding to Joelâs wrath that makes him fume and tick his jaw. Heâs angry, as he should be.Â
   âI see that. You really donât take shit from anyone, do you?â You give him a small smile and surprisingly, he gives you one right back.
   âMaybe from Tess, but not anyone else if I can help it,â he chuckles, huffing out a long sigh.
   You shift your weight on the wood beneath your feet and drag your tongue along the roof of your mouth, preparing to ask something you probably shouldnât. Heâll shut you down, maybe kick you out, have Tess knock some common sense into you. But you just canât get the fascination and curiosity of what he does out of your head. Smuggling is dangerous, but wouldnât you be in good hands with Joel?Â
   Here goes nothing.
   âSo, the smuggling. Howâd you get in it?â you press gently.
   His eyebrows raise in response, and a quizzical expression bleeds down his face. âWhy do you wanna know?â
   You shrug in response. âBecause Iâm curious.âÂ
   Keen eyes stare you down, and his jaw clenches at the words. âWell, you donât jusâ pick that field. They place you there. If they think youâre good, strong, slick. If you can show âem youâre trustworthy enough, jusâ like a fuckinâ watchdog, then theyâll be breathinâ down your neck for you to smuggle for them.â
   âSounds⌠interesting.â
   He chuckles, shaking his head in agitation. âAinât really interestinâ to be under watch of those lowlife scums they call soldiers. Whatâs interestinâ is gettinâ the fuck out of these gates. Beinâ out there in nature away from their hateful glares is whatâs fuckinâ interestinâ. You stay in these gates too long and you start to go a little insane.â He huffs, scuffing his weathered boot along the wooden floor in irritation, his eyes lit up like onyx flames.
   Clearly, he isnât a fan of his job, but that doesnât deter you from wanting to learn a thing or two from him. âCould you teach me?â
   His jaw goes slack, and his eyes widen at the question. âWhat kind of question is that? Didnât you hear what I jusâ said?â
   âI heard you just fine. But Iâm being serious, Joel! I want to learn!â you mewl, crossing your arms and jutting out your bottom lip like youâre pouting. Youâre being ridiculous, but how else are you going to show him you really want this?
   âNah, sweetheart. Youâre tooââ
   âIâm too what?â you spit, turning your head and pursing your lips tightly together.
   âYouâre weak and youâre slow,â he boldly states, not even caring if he thinks thatâll hurt your feelings. He obviously doesnât care.
   âThen teach me!â you stomp, throwing your arms down at your sides and balling your fists, just like a child who wants their way.
   âTeach you? Are you high?â he chortles, pressing his fingers against his temples in frustration.
   You take two steps forward and curl your fingers against the bottom of his denim button-up, desperate for a yes. But he pries them off and pushes your hand away. âJoel, please! I want to know how to defend myself, how to fight, how to survive. Show me how to do that.â
   He scoffs and shakes his head no. âYou donât know what youâre askinâ, sweetheart.â
   âYes, I do. Come on, please?â you beg, putting on the big puppy dog eyes, hoping thatâll be enough to persuade him.
   âI said no. Itâs too dangerous,â he states with finality in his deep tone.
   âAnd this entire world isnât?â
   Joel flinches and gives you a stern look. âJusâ quit askinâ.â
   You sigh loudly and groan. âFine. If I find myself pinned against a wall by a soldier again because I couldnât defend myself then Iââ That seems to get his attention, and something changes in the light of his dark eyes. Something snaps, and he stands a little taller, his spine fully straight.Â
   âTake out your knife,â he murmurs lowly, his husky voice almost coming off as a growl.
   âWhat?â Your eyes widen, and youâre shocked heâs saying yes in his own way.
   âTake. Out. Your. Knife.â He accentuates every syllable, snarling the words like heâs giving you an order.Â
   âHow do you know I still have the knife you gave me?â you question him, your tongue prodding at the inside of your cheek, eyes slightly narrowed in challenge. You shouldnât challenge the Joel Miller, but it could be fun.
   âTake out the goddamn knife if you want to learn so badly. I know you have it. I can see it in the outline of your jeans.â He nods to the curve of the small knife in your front right pocket. Of course heâd notice that. He has the eyes of a panther.Â
   âOh, right,â you mutter, digging the balls of your feet into the floor, your fingers hovering over the pocket.
   âWell, we ainât got all night, trouble. Câmon then.â He curls his fingers, demanding the knife, dark eyebrows furrowed together and his plush lips in a tight line.
   âWhat do you want me to do with it?â you ask, grabbing the end of the bronze pocket knife and pulling it free.
   âI want you to take it from me,â he states simply, like itâs as easy as writing your name in pencil.
   âTake it from you?â you scrunch your forehead together in question. Thatâd be too easy, wouldnât it?Â
   âThatâs right. Take. It. Câmon now. Donât be shy. Show me what you got,â he beckons, egging you on. Before you know whatâs coming, he snatches it out of your curled hand, not even giving you a moment to flinch.Â
   Shit, heâs fast. Just like lightning.Â
   âHey!â you shout, sweeping your arm out in front of you to try to steal it back. He steps back and wags the blade in your face, grinning a mile wide as he taunts you on.
   âGonna have to try harder than that, trouble,â he teases, smirking devilishly your way as if this will make you snap.
   You shake your head and scoff, laughing under your breath. âYou want trouble?â
   âYeah, I really do,â he chuckles, tossing the knife in the air and snatching it back in a second.Â
   âIâll give you trouble, Miller,â you glare with narrowed eyes.
   His eyes darken with fire flecks glinting in his eyes, and heâs practically smoldering. He curls a thick finger his way and coaxes you forward. âOh, I know. Iâm counting on it,â he muses.
   And that does it. Those fucking heated brown eyes send you forward, nearly barreling into him, but he moves out of the way effortlessly, leaving you to run into the chipped counter.Â
   âNice try, sweetheart. You can be quicker than that though,â he jostles, tapping the edge of the bronze blade against his dark jeans.
   You huff and jump at him, curling your fingers around the end of his denim button-up just as he moves away. You lose your grip and tumble forward, almost tripping on the blue rug by the broken coffee table. When you get your feet underneath you again, you let out a frustrated growl. âGive it, Joel,â you demand.
   âCome. Get. It,â he bites out, flashing his teeth as a smug grin cakes his face. Heâs having so much fun with this that it starts to get under your skin. One more wicked smirk and you bare your teeth and go lunging for him.Â
   Just as you reach out and skim the blade, his body collides with yours, and then he pushes you against the peeling white wall, locking his arms tightly around you and caging you in, to the point where thereâs nowhere to go. Youâre stuck, trapped against his heavy weight, and you suddenly feel so vulnerable and breathless.
   âThatâs not fair,â you choke out, your meek voice betraying you.
   âNot fair, huh?â he chuckles, slipping his hands closer to you, skimming the outer edges of your shoulders, the heat penetrating past the cotton of your layers as he slides down to the curve of your hips, pressing just enough to make heat rise like a tidal wave in your chest.Â
   Oh, God. Heâs so warm, and the way his broad chest feels against yours sends sparks shooting down your nerve endings. Heâs so close that you can practically taste the sweat of his tanned skin. His lips probably taste like sunshine and sweet tea. And as you breathe him in, you swear you can almost feel him inside you, right where you need him most.Â
   âYouâre not playing fair,â you pout, mesmerized by the curl of his smirk, his mustache shadowing over his plush lips.Â
   Whiskey. Thatâs it. That is what youâd taste if his lips decided to meet yours. And you want it, the rush of him kissing you. You need it desperately. You might just die if you canât have just one taste.Â
   He chuckles and twirls the edge of the blade around a loose strand of hair, making you gulp at the slow motions of the bronze weapon. âYou think a soldier is gonna play fair with you? You think a raider is gonna go easy on ya? You think anyone is gonna let you off jusâ like that?â
   His dark eyes bore into yours, and thereâs nothing playful about his gaze. Not this time because heâs trying to teach you this world isnât kind, and you canât always take the easy route out. âNoâŚâ you whisper, letting your eyes drop to the ground, right by his leather boots.Â
   âNo, they ainât.â He tips the cool bronze end of the blade under your chin and pulls your gaze up to his, his eyes lighter and full of onyx shards that nearly have your heart in your throat. âNow try again.â
   You push him off you with a huff, banging your fists on his broad chest like thatâll do you any good. He barely flinches, only chuckles in amusement.
   âYou think this is funny?â you scoff.
   âMaybe,â he laughs, tossing the knife back and forth while he stares at you with humor glinting in those dark eyes of his.Â
   âOh? Whatâs so funny, tough guy?â You reach out and swipe through the air, barely missing the handle of the knife.Â
   Shit.Â
   Another chuckle leaves his lips, and he just shakes his head in enjoyment. âYou,â he answers plainly with a smile.
   âMe?!â you scream, trying your best not to lose control.
   âYes, you. Think youâre so tough, but youâre jusâ a feisty little pussycat, ainât ya?â he teases, throwing the knife out of reach while you work to slip your fingers around it, but itâs too far away.
   âIâm not a pussycat,â you seethe, your lips pursed in anger at the crude name.
   âSure act like one. All teeth and paws, but you canât even get a lick of a mark on me. Can you, pussycat?â The flicker of amber crosses his irises as he smirks at you with trouble written all over the creases around his eyes. He wants to get under your skin because he thinks this is fun. But all itâs doing is making you mad as hell.Â
   âIâm not a cat,â you spit with venom on your tongue. âI can take you,â you challenge.
   A smirk curls over his mouth and his eyes lace with darkness. âShow me what you got then, trouble. Show me those sharp claws you got. Come. Get. Me. Pussycat.âÂ
   The taunting words out of his mouth start a fire in you, and then you snap from irritation. You go full force on him, punching your arms and clawing right and left, but he averts from your advances each time.Â
   âYâcan do better than that, pussycat. Donât fuckinâ hold back when I know that feral cat is deep inside you,â he taunts, his strong body zipping around the little space between the dining room and living room.
   âGive it,â you growl, eyes slitting with anger fuming from your body.Â
   âThen take it,â he barks.
   You lash out again, Joel ducking and reflecting off each movement you give him. Itâs like he knows exactly what move youâll make next, like he knows everything before you can even think. And itâs frustrating when you know you have no chance at getting your knife back, unless he hands it over, which he wonât. Joel Miller doesnât give up but neither do you.Â
   Thunder cracks against the gloomy sky. And when he turns his head to look out the foggy window, you see your opening right there. Your body moves, your leg kicking out, trying to make him topple to the ground, but youâre too slow. His head whips around and instead of him falling, itâs you.Â
   His foot catches the inside of your ankle, and he smiles as victory flashes across those dark brown eyes. You tumble down, your body free falling for only a second until youâre met with the harsh kitchen table colliding against your back. You grunt, pain radiating through every bone in your body like you just got knocked off a horse.Â
   Joelâs broad body crawls on top of you, his hands snaking their way around your wrists and pinning them high above your head, to where you canât move. The bronze knife falls to the table with a loud clatter, but you canât wiggle free to get it. Youâre completely and utterly stuck because Joelâs entire weight is pressed firmly against yours.
   Your eyes widen into large domes, your mouth suddenly as dry as a desert because this beast of a man is hovering over you, and it shouldnât be erotic at all, but itâs hot as hell. Youâre equally terrified and turned on at the same time.Â
   âLike I said, darlinâ. Slow and weak. Gonna have to work on that, wonât we? Pussycat.â A devilish smirk curls against his lips, and his eyes are lit with fire. The kind thatâs dangerous and tempting, thatâll maybe burn you alive.
   You try your best to kick him where itâll hurt, but he pins your leg down with his knee, glueing you in place to his large body. âIâm not a cat,â you snarl, bucking your hips up, but youâre only met with the leather of his belt and something that feels a lot like his cock hardening. You gulp at the realization and cower back down.
   âMaybe not. But you could be. All cute and feisty tryinâ to fight. Shit, might jusâ be a new nickname for you. But I think trouble fits you better,â he smirks proudly at the name he branded just for you.
   âYou think Iâm⌠cute?â
   His jaw slackens and the smug smirk is gone in a flash. Maybe he didnât realize what he was doing, but he was definitely flirting with you. And maybe you invited that, kept it going, but the way heâs looking at you all soft and lost, just like a homesick puppy, is almost swoon-worthy.
   âNo. I uhhh⌠thatâs not what I was tryinâ to say,â he stutters, licking his bottom lip slowly as his eyes swirl with hesitation.
   âBut you just saidâŚâ
   âEnough. I was jusâ tryinâ to teach you a lesson. Thatâs all.â
   âI seeâŚâ A hint of a smile meets your lips because a red blush stains his cheeks at the question. Heâs flustered, just like you are.
   His tight grip doesnât let up on your wrists, his broad body still laying on top of yours, hovering like a buzzing bee, his heart racing a mile an hour. You know because his fast breaths are mixing with yours as thick tension fills the air like the fog clouding the outside of the living room window.
   His eyes flick down to your lips, his golden flecked irises swirling with something like desire. Maybe he wants to kiss you. You think youâd let him because the thought of having his plush lips melded to yours makes butterflies flit through your stomach and other places you donât want to think about.Â
   He shifts his eyes back to yours, and your body hums with need. Those syrupy brown eyes could bring you down to your knees. God, theyâre so beautiful under the dim light of the dining room, making them look like molten lava and painted sunsets on the beach. You could just drown in them if heâd let you.Â
   Heâs struggling, his body tight and his breath ragged, fighting something he doesnât understand. You almost think heâll kiss you by the way his eyes flick back and forth undecidedly. Joel Miller may not be weak, but heâs got something in that thick head of his thatâs weak for you.Â
   âJoel?â you whisper, watching the way his eyes widen when they stare waveringly at your mouth.
   His jaw clenches into a tight fist and then heâs climbing off you, freeing your wrists from their restraints, leaving you feeling empty and breathless with a need that thirsts to be quenched.Â
   âI uhhh, got a shower. Yâcan use it if you want,â he murmurs quickly, like heâs in a hurry to get away from the heat of the room because itâs stifling in this moment. And the way he was looking at you just a few seconds ago? It was like he wanted you. And maybe he does. Maybe, just maybeâŚ
   âUmmm, yeah. Thanks,â you mumble, collecting your bearings as you smooth your shirt out, the inside of your thighs burning with desire. Joel lit a spark in you, and it set your core ablaze like fire.
   âTowels are in the first cabinet on the left. Jusâ help yourself.â He threads his fingers through his disheveled hair, nervously pulling at the strands like heâs in pain, like heâs fighting something.
   âJoel?â you ask again, calling his name like itâs the only name you know.
   âYeah?â His voice is deep, clipped, like he wants to run far far away from you.
   âSo. Does this mean youâll teach me?âÂ
   His eyes linger on you for just a second too long, and the tick in his jaw tightens as he thinks it through. Eventually, he nods with a tight-lipped smile. âConsider that your first lesson. Weâll go again tomorrow.â
   âReally?â A large smile covers your face, and your eyes light up with glee.
   âMhm. Donât make me regret it. Goodnight, trouble.â He disappears through the thresholds of his room, leaving you standing in the middle of the hall, waiting for what? Something, but his door stays shut tight.
   You sigh and make your way into the bathroom, flipping on the lights. Itâs a simple layout. Cracked tiles in the shower, a tan shower curtain, a small ceramic sink with a fading countertop, stained white walls with small water leak marks on top of the ceiling, a rugged blue mat in front of the tub. Slightly better than your rundown bathroom.Â
   After finding a folded white towel in the cabinet and turning the faucet of the shower, you strip your worn clothes and step in, letting the grime and sweat wash down the drain in a swirl of sudsy soap. It feels weird being in Joelâs shower, but youâre grateful anyways. He couldâve said no, couldâve kicked you out, but he didnât. He did the unspeakable.Â
   He let you stay.Â
   After relaxing for several minutes under the warm spray of the shower head, you cut the water and dry off, squeezing all the leftover water droplets from your clean hair, brushing your fingers through the tangled mess.Â
   When you take a step out of the shower and onto the now damp rug, you freeze. There, right on the edge of the counter, is a folded up navy colored t-shirt that wasnât there before your shower. Your eyebrows pinch together, questions rolling through your wide eyes. You didnât hear him open the door, not when you were under the noisy shower head.Â
   As you pick it up, you see itâs long enough to fall past your knees, and itâs soft and smells like Joel. A hint of pinewood and smoke lathering in the cotton of the material. You inhale his scent, breathing deeply in before you slip it over your head, the cool cotton molding to your body like a weighted blanket. All warm and cozy and his.Â
   But why did he leave this for you? He couldâve left you to throw on your sweat-drenched clothes from earlier, couldâve given you some old ratty thing. But he didnât.Â
   Shaking your head in disbelief, you let the door click open with the twist of the doorknob and step out, your eyes falling on his closed door like you could walk right through it, breaking every barrier down he had built against him. But instead, you decide to retreat to the couch and snuggle into the thick blanket, the worn leather sticking to your clean skin, your head hitting the pillow in just the right spot.
   Visions of Joel flood through your mind the moment you close your eyes, remembering the intense knife lesson, his broad body hovering over yours, his dark eyes staring directly into your soul, tempting you to mold your lips to his. He wanted to kiss you, at least you think. And maybe you shouldâve helped him take that leap, but you didnât. And thatâs your downfall youâll always regret.Â
   Sighing deep against the fluffy pillow, you toss and turn until you fall asleep. The soft pitter patter of the rain lulling you into a deep sleep after a brutal day in the heat. The last thing you see before you slip into darkness is the color of mahogany eyes haunting your mind.
   Joel tosses and turns, letting the slick sheets wrap around his legs, groaning against the mixed feelings that swirl around his conflicted mind. You. Youâre the reason he canât sleep or think straight. All he sees are the flashes of your pretty eyes, eyelashes batting against the deep blush that painted your cheeks crimson when he was hovering over you on the kitchen table, your wrists constricted around his fingers, just a breath away from his mouth meeting your glossy lips.
   He groans and lets the palms of his hands dig into the socket of his eyes, muttering curses under his breath. He doesnât get feelings, doesnât get wrapped around pretty girlsâ fingers, but you have him wrapped tight like a noose around his neck, one step away from tipping over the edge to his death.Â
   He canât help himself, canât fight off the way he wants you so fucking badly that he can hardly stand it. He shouldnât want you, but here he is like a whiny dog begging for attention. He wants you to want him like he wants you. And maybe you already do. He doesnât fucking know anymore.
   He shouldâve never saved you from Seth, but heâd never forgive himself if he let Seth lay one more finger on you. And then he invited you inside to shield you from the rain, offered to let you stay, kept you past curfew when he knew this would happen. He shouldâve sent you off to Tessâs apartment, but he didnât. He didnât do one goddamn thing that he shouldâve.Â
   And now youâre trapped like a fly under his watch. Because now⌠heâs never going to let another man touch you. Not under his radar. Not ever. Unless itâs himâŚ
   Itâs only a few steps from his bedroom to the couch, would only take a second to brush his palm down your cheek, let his mouth envelop yours, only a breath away from wrapping you so tightly around his tired body that youâll never be able to let go.
   Heâs being selfish, but he canât help it. He fucking wants you, but only time will tell if heâll fully give in to what he truly needs.
   YouâŚ
   A loud clap of thunder stirs you from your deep sleep, nearly sending you tumbling off the edge of the sunken leather couch. Another big boom explodes across the dark night sky and has you tossing the blanket aside. Your stiff body shakes from the thrashing storm as you push yourself off the faded couch, rubbing the sleep from your tired eyes.Â
   You pull back the torn curtain and fix your eyes on the blackness of the storm, large lightning strikes splitting across the sky, reflecting off the foggy glass. Your slow breaths fill the room, your finger sliding down the windowpane, condensation dripping down the clear glass. You never were a huge fan of thunderstorms, unless they were calm. Slow, gentle rain storms were always something you loved but this? Well, it certainly had you on edge.Â
   You spend the next few minutes pacing across the wooden floors, taking caution not to be too loud, not wanting to wake Joel up. You canât sleep, canât process that youâre in his apartment, in his shirt.Â
   God, you really hope he doesnât walk through that closed door because the only thing youâre wearing right now is his shirt and your lacy panties. Even though the length of the shirt covers your thighs, you still feel completely vulnerable and bare.Â
   Chewing the edges of your long nails, you pace back and forth nervously against the wooden floorboards, careful not to step on a creaky spot. The thunder claps through the sky, startling you once again. You jump back with a jolt and hit the side of the coffee table, catching yourself from falling face down to the floor. But before that happens, you step on a particularly noisy wooden plank and an ear-splitting groan carries through the entirety of the room, alarming anyone whoâs mere feet away of your mistake.Â
   Shit.
   And in less than ten seconds, Joelâs door pops open with a squeak and out slips Joel. Your eyes widen at the picturesque view that stands in front of you. You gulp and step back, taking in the broadness of his entire body, like it was being displayed in a fucking art gallery.Â
   His tousled curls are disheveled and pushed back, making his deep brown eyes somehow brighter, like the midnight moon. A short sleeved white t-shirt clings to his bulky arms, the large veins cascading and spidering down the entirety of his tanned arms. His grey sweatpants hang low on his hips, one hand shoved deep inside his pocket, the other running smoothly through his greying locks.Â
   Youâd be lying to yourself if you said you felt nothing for him because right now, your heart is thundering loudly in your chest just by standing in his presence, wearing his t-shirt. And suddenly, you feel exposed and completely naked.Â
   âThought I heard something in here. You alright?â he asks carefully, eyes locking like a magnet with yours.
   You gulp and push a lock of hair behind your ear nervously. âIâm fine. Just the storm woke me up, and I couldnât go back to sleep. Iâm sorry if I woke you, I didnât mean to,â you press, fingers twisting nervously in the fabric of his shirt that clings like static to your clammy skin.Â
   He holds out a palm to silence you, but he only shakes his head and laughs quietly. The sound reverberates down your body like music. âSâalright, darlinâ. Didnât wake me up. Wasnât having much luck sleepinâ anyways.â
   âOh, I see.â Your hands clamp together behind your back in a nervous fit of jitters, your mouth suddenly as dry as a desert.Â
   Why the fuck are you so nervous? Heâs just a guy, but then again heâs not. Heâs Joel Miller, and thereâs nothing remotely average about him.Â
   âThe couch comfortable enough? I know it ainât much, but itâs the best I got,â he drawls, flexing his bicep each time he runs his thick fingers through his soft curls, making you nearly pant at the sight of the ripped muscles pulling at the edges of his t-shirt.Â
   âItâs perfect, Joel. Seriously, you didnât have to let me stay.â
   He chuckles and sighs slowly. âLike I said, itâs no trouble.â
   âThank you.â
   Shaking his head slowly, he replies, âGotta stop thanking me, sweetheart.â
   âAnd for letting me shower and borrow your shirt. You really didnât have to.â Your fingers pick at the frayed edges of the t-shirt, your eyes widening when you see his dark eyes roam the expanse of your body, flicking his gaze up and down your legs at an extremely slow pace, your cheeks burning with redness seeping in.Â
   You donât know why, but his smoldering stare sets your core completely on fire.Â
   âAgain, donât mention it. And uhhh⌠it looks better on you.â You nearly choke on the words that just slipped free from his lips, like it was all casual and not a compliment. He basically just told you how good you look in his clothes. And that in itself makes your insides smother with need.Â
   âYou didnât have to, you know,â you laugh, eyes peeling to the floor, a nervous flutter kicking inside your chest.Â
   âBut I really didâŚâ
   Your eyes snap back up to his, tension forming like the thick fog that covers the windows. And suddenly, the room feels much hotter than it should be. Almost like a suffocating sauna.
   He takes a step forward, the floorboards creaking beneath him, and then he takes another, one step closer to you. His eyes flick down your legs once more, his golden brown irises glistening with something like mischief and fire igniting with every glimpse of your skin.Â
   The scent of pine cones and autumn permeate throughout the still air, igniting your heightened senses, kicking them into overdrive the closer he gets to you. His smoldering eyes rake over your body, a smug smile tugging at his plush lips, and thereâs trouble written all over that smug look. The kind of trouble you wouldnât mind falling into.Â
   Thunder crashes outside, making you jump at the sudden explosion of the raging storm, putting you on edge even more than when Joel walked into the room.
    âYou scared of storms?â he asks quietly, eyeing you closely, eyes roaming down your bare legs in slow motion, lurching your heart in your throat.
   âNo,â you barely mouth, gulping as you watch his hand rake down his patchy beard slowly, his eyes devouring your skin. Fire burns hot in your core the longer you watch him. Maybe heâll pounce, put the fire out himself or make it burn ten times hotter.
   âYou sure âbout that?â He smirks, lighting the fire into a full on inferno. Youâre burning.
   Another step closer, thunder vibrating in the dark sky behind you, his breath fanning warmly across your face, conjuring feelings that shouldnât even be blooming in the first place.
   âI said Iâm not scared,â you mutter courageously, holding your breath, scared of what you might smell if he takes one step closer.
   âThen why are ya shakinâ?â He takes two more slow steps toward you, prowling like a starving wolf, ready to sink his sharp teeth into the side of your neck.Â
   âIâm not.â But thatâs a damn lie. You might as well be shaking the entire floor with the way youâre shuddering violently in place.
   Another step and then heâs toe to toe with you, the smell of mahogany and pine trees invading your body, making you want to just melt into the fragrance of his scent.Â
   He smells like honeydew and a warm summerâs day. And youâre fucking addicted.
   âYou are. Fuckinâ tremblinâ, sweetheart.â You audibly gasp when he brushes a lock of hair behind your ear, lingering his fingers slowly down your jawline, pulling out need and yearning like youâre dying for just a drop of his taste, his tongue.
   âIâm not scared of the stormâŚâ you answer calmly, your voice giving away with how badly you need him.Â
   God, you want him. Almost as badly as you want to be out of the QZ.
   âThen what? You afraid of me?â He cups your chin and lifts your eyes up to his, pulling out a sound that almost sounds like a moan. He chuckles at that. Youâre so embarrassed.
   âNoâŚâ you murmur, your voice deceiving you once again.Â
   âWell, ya should be,â he smiles, his honey eyes turning into deep black pits, making you want to drown in his dark pools of lust.Â
   âWhyâs that?â you whisper, voice cracking when his other hand pulls you by the waist, your body flush with his broad chest.
   ââCause you scare the hell out of me,â he states with a sharpness to his deep timbre.Â
   âBut I didnât do anythingâŚâ you mewl, too scared to back up, not wanting to break the thick tension that permeates like fire around the room.
   Another crack of thunder makes you jump, but he only pulls you tighter, his warmth coursing through your entire body.Â
   ââCourse you did. Cominâ around here with those big, beautiful eyes. Tryinâ to sweeten up my life. Causinâ a bunch of ruckus and trouble. Who gave you the right, huh?â he asks accusingly; his voice soft but ravenous. Â
   Your eyes widen at the meaning of his words. He called you beautiful. âJoel⌠Iâm not trying to...â
   âYa are. And I wonât stand for it. Wonât stand a goddamn second of it. Now câmere and fix the mess you started.âÂ
   Before you can say anything, he cups the back of your neck and pulls your mouth to his. He crashes his lips desperately against yours, knocking the breath clear out of your lungs. Itâs not soft or slow, itâs reckless and electrifying as you match his energy and kiss him in the same starving-like way.Â
   You part your lips and let him slot in. His tongue dances wildly with yours, a sultry tango that spins out of control. You wrap your arms tightly around the back of his neck and he picks you up and wraps your legs around his hips, pinning you against the crumbling walls while you moan desperately into his mouth.Â
   He takes his lips off yours for just a breath, enough to pant out a series of serenaded words. âChrist, you taste better than a cold glass of whiskey. Might have to brand you as my new favorite flavor, trouble.â He clashes his mouth back on yours, moans bleeding into each other like the whiskey that burns through his bloodstream.
   âJoel, needââ you whine between thunderous kisses.
   âKnow what you need, sweetheart. Donât worry. Gonna take real good care of ya, babygirl.â You moan at the name babygirl and let him whisk you away to his bedroom.Â
   The door crashes against the wall as he barrels through the room, throwing you on his large bed, your fingers brushing against the cool sheets. He hovers over your body, eyes marinated in complete darkness, dying to sink his teeth in your skin.
   âYou look mighty pretty in my t-shirt, sweetheart. But youâre gonna look even better when youâre completely naked in my bed.â You pant as he rips the t-shirt over your head, tossing it on the floor in a heap, leaving you in nothing but your lacy panties that are completely ruined.Â
   âJesus Christ,â he groans, taking his large hand and slowly dragging his fingertips down your body, slowly making his way between your breasts, down to the waistband of your panties. âFuckinâ beautiful.âÂ
   You buck your hips up to try to get friction, and he just chuckles as he leans over and hovers his large body over yours, slipping his white t-shirt off until his hairy, bare chest is flush with your skin, igniting your nerve endings like the lightning that strikes the dark sky outside.Â
   His mouth suctions to your collarbone, sliding up to ravish your neck, sucking and biting till you pant his name out, his fingertips trailing over your core. You suck in a breath when he takes his thumb and slides it between your clothed folds, rubbing light circles over your clit.Â
   âJâJoel,â you gasp, a fresh wave of slick covering the lace with the friction heâs giving you.
   âSâthat right, darlinâ? Havenât even gotten these off you, and youâre already fuckinâ drippinâ for me,â he smirks, teasing his fingers beneath your waistband, making you practically beg with your wide eyes and open mouth.Â
   âTâtake them off, please,â you whine, thrashing beneath his hold, begging for more. You want more, need more.Â
   âThat what you want?â he smirks, lust-filled eyes black as midnight, feasting those deep pits right on you, threatening to swallow you whole.
   âYâyes,â you choke out, gulping when he brushes over your clit again, eliciting more slick in your lace.Â
   He smirks devilishly up at you while he drops to his knees on the rickety floor, pulling you to the edge of the bed. You gasp when he takes his time pulling your panties down, savoring your naked body under the moonlight, licking his lips when he sees you bare and writhing for him, your slick reflecting in his glassy irises.Â
   âGoddamn it. Youâre so wet for me, sweetheart. Câmere.â He gives you no time to comment back until his large tongue is flat against your slick core, slowly licking a thick strip up the entirety of you.Â
   âOhhh,â you moan while he meticulously circles your puffy bundle of nerves, eyes blown wide at the mere bliss heâs giving you.Â
   âTaste so fuckinâ good. Like sweet, sticky honey. Fuck.â He growls as he slips two thick fingers inside your dripping hole, caking his fingers in slick while he makes out with your puffy clit.
   You thread your fingers through his tousled curls, hear him groan as you rake your fingernails against the crown of his head. And when he hits that spot, you arch your back as he repeatedly curls his fingers against the spongy, sweet spot inside that you can never reach yourself. Your eyes roll back into your head, your body humming with electricity. And soon youâre every single lightning strike that flashes in the cold, rainy night. Heâs the thunder that crashes through your veins, bringing you to life with every flick of his tongue and motion of his experienced fingers.Â
   Youâre right on the edge of coming undone, your hips writhing beneath him, slick covering his thick beard. The sight makes you want to spill right there just by looking at the glistening slick sticking to his beard, his mustache, his lips. And God, you fucking love the sight of him covered in you.Â
   âJoel, Iâm gonnaââ
   âCâmon, baby. Come for me. Cover me, spill for me. Wanna taste jusâ what I do to you,â he growls, releasing his fingers and filling you with his tongue instead. He tongue fucks you fast and hard, making you snap as the feeling takes you over the edge.
   âJoellllââ you cry out, feeling the white-hot heat slide down your body, releasing a flood of arousal and slick against his mouth, covering him in your orgasm. He slowly laps it up like itâs the breath of life, consuming all of you until thereâs nothing left between your thighs except his thick fingers and warm tongue. And then youâre nothing more than the glistening raindrops that pelt the side of the bedroom window softly.Â
   âThatâs my good girl,â he praises, crawling over you, crowding his sweat-covered body with your own, slowly lifting your legs over his shoulders. You have no argument, can barely speak, but you need him like you need air to breathe.Â
   âJoelâneed you. Need you toâŚâ He stops you right there, smirking when he starts to pull his grey sweatpants lower. Dark coarse hairs appear, and you choke on a gasp when you feel just how hard and big he is against your thigh.Â
   âShh. Save your breath, trouble. Gonna need it for what Iâm about to do to you next.â He smirks like the handsome devil he is, his pupils blown as he stares at you like his next meal.Â
   His grey sweatpants and black boxers fall to the floor, and your mouth drops open as his thick, hard cock springs free against his soft tummy. Heâs massive. Deep veins twist around the underside of his cock, his tip angry, red, and leaking precum. Heâs so fucking beautiful from his glowing dark eyes, to his disheveled hair, to his broad body, and to his giant cock.Â
   Heâs all just so fucking perfect, and you want him to be yours.Â
   âYou gonna keep starinâ with your mouth wide open, sweetheart?â he teases, taking his tip and smothering it over your folds, collecting more slick as you groan beneath his touch.
   âMaybe,â you giggle, grinding your pussy against his tip, begging him to take you.Â
   âYou want this, sweetheart? Want me?â he asks softly, staring down at you with vibrant chocolate eyes, golden flecks glittering bright under the moonlight from the window.Â
   âYes, want you, Joel. Please, take me. Iâm yours.â
   He smiles and then he crashes his lips down on yours, smothering you in him. He pushes inside you slowly, stretching you out like youâve never been stretched, moaning into his open mouth as he starts to rock back and forth, thrusting as deep as he can go inside you until you feel him bottom out.
   Pretty soon Joelâs matching your moans, an exchange of pleasure coursing through your bloodstreams. He feels like heaven each time he claims you with his cock, rutting deeper and deeper until you can feel him everywhere inside you. Itâs a euphoric bliss, thunder crashing outside the window, lightning tearing through your veins.
   Joel Joel Joel. Heâs all you feel, all you see, all you hear. Heâs everything all at once. The missing piece youâve desperately been searching for your entire life.
   âYou feel so perfect, sweetheart. Takinâ me so well. Want you to come again. Come for me, baby,â he coos, teeth clenching with every deep thrust he gives you.
   âOhh,â you moan when he takes the pad of his thumb and starts circling your puffy clit, putting just the right amount of pressure where you feel it the most.Â
   âCome on my cock, babygirl. Let me feel you. Fuck. Squeezinâ me so tight,â he grits out, your walls clenching tight around his thick length. You scream out his name as you come undone around him, your release drenching his cock as you squeeze him.Â
   âAtta fuckinâ girl,â he praises, his dark eyebrows threading together as he concentrates to hold on. âWhere do you want me, baby? Not gonna last muchâlonger,â he seethes, teeth clenched from his own building release.
   âInside me,â you whine out, panting.
   He speeds up his thrusts faster and faster, and then he spills his warm seed inside you, both of your moans crescendoing together like a symphony of rolling thunder. He takes his time slipping out of you, dragging his release between your thighs. He grabs a towel from the bathroom and cleans you up, then pulls you toward the head of the bed until both of you are collapsed, panting breaths and glossy eyes staring back at one another.
   You both just lay there for minutes, bolts of lightning lighting up his beautiful, sweat-covered skin, igniting fire in his onyx eyes. He almost looks ethereal, so flawless that no one could touch him. But you touched him, and he lit you up like a thousand galaxies colliding straight into your heart.Â
   Another moment passes and then heâs softly tracing the pads of his calloused fingertips across your cheek, mapping lines that connect right back to him.Â
   âYouâre so beautiful,â he whispers out, brushing a loose strand behind your ear as softly as the rain that patters lightly against the window.Â
   âYou think so?â you ask quietly, eyes wide and mouth dropped open the moment the word beautiful slipped off his tongue.
   He takes the pad of his thumb and runs it along your bottom lip, gently humming in response. âYes, sweetheart. So beautiful,â he repeats, the words sounding like melodic music to your ears.
   âJoel, Iâlike you,â you say bravely, your fingers tracing the coarse hair on his broad chest.
   âAnd I like you. A lot,â he smiles, eyes melting into a warm, syrupy color. One you want to drown in.
   âEnough to be mine?â you whisper out meekly, afraid of what heâll say.
   âSweetheart⌠Iâve wanted you from the moment I set eyes on you. Wanted you the minute you stepped foot into my apartment that first time. Wanted you the second those beautiful eyes of yours tore open my soul.â His soft brown eyes are tearing your walls down, and youâre stunned in awe.
   âYou⌠want me?â you breathe out, breathless.
   âOh, sweetheart,â he chuckles, tracing heart shapes on your skin. âThereâs not a second I donât want you. Youâre mine. Now câmere.â He pulls you to him, his lips colliding with yours, and then you slip into the softness of him, tangling your body with his until youâre one.
   When the kiss ends, he keeps you against his warm chest, his hand running lazily through your hair, his lips brushing against your forehead. You get lost in his warmth, in his musk, in his woodsy scent that you revel in. Heâs everywhere, surrounding you, melding into your soul. Itâs unlike anything youâve ever felt before.Â
   Youâre falling hard, fast, but heâll catch you. Every brush against your skin just solidifies that, his lips making it official. Youâre mine. His deep timbre lingers in your mind, and then youâre falling into a deep sleep in his arms while the rain soothes you into bliss.
Parties in Jackson fucking suck.
Itâs not like youve ever been at a different party, but still. Youâve read about them in the little magazines from the old days you found on patrols. Small blurbs about meaningless celebrities, a concept you barely even understood, drinking themselves to oblivion. Paparazzi pictures of young starlets in black limousines, rappers getting coked up in dark bathrooms. You never really got it. Parties in Jackson were like a parallel universe.
âThey must have made that upâ you told Dina, your best friend and trusty patrol partner. âNopeâ she shrugged. âHeard that Paris Hilton girl was really like that.â
Paris hilton would have hated Jackson parties. A bunch of old people, and a handful of young ones, dancing around to the beat of an old country song, if you could even call that a beat.
You could have responded with a simple âNo thanksâ when Jesse had invited you to tonights party. You could have told him you were tired, busy, sick, he would have left you alone - But you didnât, alas, this is how you found yourself here. Alone, in an old barn, listening to the batshit insane, drunk ramblings of an old fart named Seth.
âRipped that fellaâs throat with just one moveâ Seth mumbled, laughing stupidly at his own words.
âGo â got him real good nâdirty, I tell yaâ
Whoever said ârespect the elderlyâ clearly never met Seth. His breath reeked of whiskey and cigarettes that he traded for food and supplies, and my god, he was standing so close you could see the veins in his yellow tinted eyeballs. You really were too polite for your own good, you thought to yourself, because Ellie would have shoved him away already.
Ellie.
You felt like slapping yourself in the face. What the hell does she have to do with this? Why canât you just let it fucking go already? It truly was desperate, and pathetic, and borderline immoral, the amount you spent thinking about that girl.
So what if she used to be your best friend. So what if she was the first girl who ever made you feel something, even if it was too late. She has a girlfriend, and sheâs not thinking about you, she doesnât care, maybe never has, probably never will. She left you for her, with that useless excuse of âCat doesnât like it when we hang outâ followed by a pathetic âWe can do it in secret, though.â, when she saw your eyes turn glossy and your breath hitch up. Fuck her, and fuck those memories. Fuck all the nights you spent together telling each other your deepest and darkest desires, and especially fuck that time you almost-
âHeyâ
You'd recognize that voice anywhere.
A royal blue flannel button up shirt appeared at the corner of your eye.
âMind if I steal her for a sec, Seth?â
She sounded raspy, laced with that velvety layer her voice had adorned whenever she had a sip or more of Whiskey. When you drank together for the first time, at the ripe age of sixteen, next to a big bonfire and the ever so familiar scent of pine lacing your sense of smell, you told her that she sounds different when sheâs drunk. More mature, somehow. Less fidgety, slower, sultrier. She replayed that sentence over and over again in her head. âSultryâ, she whispered to herself. âI sound sultry.â
Seth cleared his throat, a deep cough escaping his lungs.
âOf course, pretty girl like her shouldnât be around me for too long, might start acting all wild!â The old man threw his hands in the air, and disappeared somewhere in the scarce crowd.
Your heartbeat was faster than normal, but thatâs not new. Not when she was around, anyways.
Ellie stood by your side, hands crossed over her chest. She had a glass of Rum in her hand, not Whiskey. Funny.
âYouâre a Rum type of girl now?â you questioned, never meeting her gaze. If you bothered to look to your side, you would have noticed she was staring.
âFameâs changed me, I guessâ She responded, mixing the fluid in her glass.
One week ago, Ellie went on patrol. One week ago, Ellie killed more infected in one go than anyone else had in years. She was the townâs hero, the infected slayer. Cat even made her a badge. She wasnât wearing it now.
âCat or fame?â you quietly mumbled under your breath.
You werenât spectacularly brave with your words, but one glass of presumably expired white wine made a simple girl go very far.
âHah. Funnyâ she scoffed dryly, earning her Rum another pointless swirl.
âYouâre the towns hero, Iâm the towns comedian, weâre both pretty famous, iâd say.â
Ellieâs gaze was fixed on the wall. She squinted her eyebrows slightly, humming in response. You looked over at her, for just a second, noticing the dim light reflecting in her eyes. She was a sight to behold, the most beautiful girl youâve ever seen. You wish she knew that. You wish you could be the one to tell her.
You inhaled deeply, and it came out so shaky that when you exhaled you were terrified she heard the tremor in your body.
âThankâs for the save, by the wayâ you said quietly, apologetic. You even smiled politely, which was absolutely for nothing, because she wasnât looking at you, avoiding your gaze like the plague.
Itâs not like Ellie and you didnât talk since that night she told you she couldnât see you anymore. Itâs been two whole years. You had to talk, you had to communicate somehow, even if it was through polite smiles and dry conversations during shared patrols. Hell, you even went to Catâs birthday party you somehow were invited to. Dina was practically on her knees begging you to come with her, and who could say no to Dina when she looked at them with those puppy eyes that could tug at a monsters heartstrings?
âYeah, no problem. That manâs a fucking dickheadâ Ellie scoffed, leaned against the bar and crossed her legs.
âWhereâs Cat?â you questioned. Are you sure you only had one glass of wine?
âSheâs not hereâ Ellie responded dryly, seemingly annoyed at your question. She almost tskâd when you asked. She didnât look surprised by your rude antics, maybe you got like this more often than you thought. How about that time you told her youâre surprised Cat didnât pack her a sandwich with a sticker on itâs wrapper during patrol?
âI can tell⌠why?â you inquired. Your own voice was deeper too, it almost matched hers.
âDidnât wanna comeâ Ellie said, stuffing a hand inside her pocket. She was uncomfortable, clearly, and wanted, needed, to make you shut up. Itâs not because your presence annoyed her, Itâs because she knew she was wrong. She knew she fucked up when she ditched you, and if only you knew how it was eating her alive every day. She had to do it, because in her eyes, she would have done something much worse if she hadnât.
Being around you when she wasnât with Cat was hard enough, because she knew she could never have you, that youâd never want her. Not if you knew. You were too smart, and too good, to ever want to be with her. Cat was easy, she didnât ask too many questions. Sheâd lay there for Ellie when Ellie told her to, and she would agree to stop a conversation when it got too personal. When Ellie cried at night, and woke up sweating, she didnât ask why. She let it go, and Ellie knew you never would have. Youâd fucking hate her if you knew. She could have saved the world â and she didnât. He didnât let her. The wounds she had were too deep, they were clawing and tugging at her skin from the inside. Ellie was a tortured soul, and you didnât deserve that. Thatâs why she left, and maybe, thatâs why she was here right now.
âThatâs too badâ you mumbled quietly. You did your best to make it sound genuine, and you failed miserably.
Ellie scoffed.
âYeahâ
You shifted slightly, and walked over to stand right in front of her. You met her eyes for the first time. Those stupid, beautiful emerald eyes.
Ellie looked down, and looked up at you. She swallowed deeply.
âAnywaysâ you sighed. âThink Iâm gonna goâ
âAlready?â she questioned, slamming her Rum filled glass on the bar counter.
âYeah, Iâm cold and it sucks in here, soâ you said, and smiled politely. It really was freezing, and talking to her like this was painful enough.
âLet me walk youâ she blurted.
What?
âHuh?â walk you where? the door? you knew where it was.
She tugged at the loose string on the bottom of her button up. It was ironed, where did Ellie find and iron? Did Maria do it for her? Town hero perks?
âLet me walk you homeâ she repeated, her voice carrying a touch of insistence. Once again, you found yourself captivated by her burning gaze, those eyes that seemed to hold secrets yet to be unveiled.
âI can walk home alone, Ellieâ You huffed, ever the stubborn.
âNoâ she exclaimed.
âMaria said itâs been pretty dangerousâ
âI can have my own back, you know, Iâm not an idiotâ You scoffed. You knew she didnât think you were an idiot, why did she have to walk you home?
âI know that â Just wanna make sure youâre safeâ
âGosh, Ellie thank you! thank you!â You said in the most high pitched voice you could fathom. âThe townâs hero is at it again, everybody!â You exclaimed, slightly raising your voice, earning both of you a few curious looks from the townspeople.
Ellie wasnât embarrassed. She was just annoyed. And she wanted to slap you in the face for being so stubborn.
She grasped your arm with an unexpected forcefulness, pulling you along as she swiftly guided you outside. In the process, you accidentally bumped into a few people, hastily muttering a string of apologetic "sorry" and "excuse me" as you hurriedly tried to navigate through the crowd. You attempted to resist her firm grip, trying to free yourself with a burst of strength, but you found yourself overpowered by her determination.
Once she managed to pull you outside, she finally released her grip on your arm, allowing you a brief respite from her firm hold.
âYou are not walking me anywhere, Williamsâ you scoffed. What made her think you needed her help?
âYouâve always been so fucking stubbornâ she turned to face you. Her hands were on her hips. Her face wore the same expression she did when you went on your first patrol together, when you insisted on going left, even though she knew you had to go right.
âIâm walking nowâ you stepped away, and started walking. âAnd if you followed me â you wouldnât be walking me home, youâd be stalking meâ you exclaimed as you backed away.
Ellie quickly followed your pace, her boots stomping on the snow covered ground.
âYou areâ
Step
âSo fucking annoyingâ
This was the longest conversation youâve had with Ellie in two whole years. It felt like nothingâs changed, except for everything.
The following ten minutes were torturous. You were walking fast, Ellie right behind you. No words were exchanged between you, the silence enveloping the crisp air as you both walked in silence. Your attention turned inward, focusing on the sensation of the cold air filling your lungs with each breath, and the soft sound of Ellie's boots pressing against the creaking snow beneath her.
You finally arrived at your place. Itâs grey exterior blanketed in a pristine layer of snow. Every inch of its structure was adorned with a delicate coat of white.
You turned around to face her.
Ellieâs skin appeared slightly flushed, with a rosy tinge highlighting her cheeks, and her nose bore a noticeable reddish hue, hinting at the crisp winter air. She didnât say a word.
You took a deep breath. She looked cold.
âWant me to make you some tea?â you questioned. You didnât mean to let her in, and she didnât expect you to ask. She looked surprised, her eyebrows turned slightly upwards.
âMâfineâ Ellie insisted, her voice resolute despite the chill in the air. She sought warmth by tucking her hands deep into the pockets of her dark green coat.
âJesus, Ellie â Just come insideâ you urged, the concern evident in your voice.
âIf walking you was stalking wouldnât coming in be breaking and entering?â she inquired, a sarcastic tone lacing her words.
âJust ââ you uttered, your voice trailing off as you reached for the doorknob, slowly opening the door.
âCome insideâ
"Fine," Ellie relented, her resolve wavering as she decided to follow in your footsteps.
The house welcomed you with its cozy warmth, though slightly disorganized in its appearance. Yet, amidst the subtle chaos, it remained a comforting sanctuary, always your safe space. Being there brought a sense of solace, as if the troubles of the outside world faded away. And with Ellie's presence by your side, an inexplicable tingling sensation spread through your being.
You proceeded to heat up some water, carefully attending to the task of preparing tea, a familiar ritual.
Ellie never knew where to sit, or where to stand, so there she was, examining every single one of your movements. The air felt thick, like you could cut the tension with a switchblade.
"Your house looks different," she murmured in a low voice, leaning against the cream-colored wall.
âBad different?â You questioned, taking out two mugs from the cupboard.
âNo, just⌠more stuffâ she murmured.
"Well," you uttered as you gently placed the teabag into the awaiting mug. âYou havenât been here in a while, soâ
Ellie hummed in response, and bit her lower lip.
âYouâve kind of changed too.â you murmured.
âTattoos looking bigger. And you look more tired. Plus, your shirt looks ironed, so maybe you even⌠showered? Woah.â you teased.
âFuck, you really are funny huh?â she said, crossing her arms.
âAlways were a sucker for my jokesâ you responded with a sly smile.
She didnât mean to say what she said next, because that was like opening a pandoraâs box. Or, more like, the gates to hell.
âThis is the longest conversation weâve had in yearsâ Ellie murmured. You handed her the green colored mug, your finger brushing herâs for a second. You both flinched.
âMhmâ you took a sip from your tea. It was still so hot, it burned your tongue.
âAnd whoâs fault is that?â You questioned, raising your eyes to meet her burning gaze. It was incredibly impulsive.
Ellie rolled her eyes. She looked baffled.
âYou still donât get it, do you? She questioned.
âGet what? that your girlfriend doesnât like me? trust me Ellie, I get that, crystal clear.â You smiled, as you slammed your mug on the counter.
âIâm not doing this right nowâ she declared, her tone firm and resolute.
Oh, did that sentence burn through you.
âI think you areâ you stepped forward to face her. She looked terrified, like a lost puppy. Not so âtownâs heroâ now. Thank god she wasnât wearing Catâs badge, because she would have looked ridiculous.
âIâm notâ she said quietly, looking at the floor beneath her.
You felt the ever so familiar lump forming in your throat. She owed you.
âTell me what it is exactly that I donât getâ you spat. The pent up anger from all these years finally just fucking bursted. She left you. She left you for her, your best fucking friend.
âItâs just funny how she didnât give a shit about Jesse, or Dina, or anybody! Just fucking me, right? Iâm the fucking problem?â you blurted. Your voice was shaky, filled with rage. The tears in your eyes started forming. You didnât even know how much you were holding it inside of you, it all overflowed, at 2AM, right in your kitchen. Right where she told you she couldnât see you anymore.
Ellie was frozen, her mouth parted slightly. She was flushed, and it showed. It wasnât the cold weather anymore, it was you. She didnât expect this to happen so fast. She came inside for some fucking tea.
Thatâs when you shoved her. And she didnât even fucking move.
âDonât fucking do this to meâ she begged. Her voice was desperate, and shaky, and what the fuck was she hiding?
You found yourselves standing uncomfortably close to each other, the proximity palpable. The warmth of her breath gently grazed your forehead, creating a tantalizing sensation that sent a shiver down your spine.
She took a deep breath.
âWhat I did was bad. But â fuck, Jesse and Dina never slept over, you know that?â
The room fell quiet.
âSo?â you whispered. You couldnât even look at her.
âDonât do thisâ she begged. Her eyes were glossy. She looked as if she was about to cry, too. Her chest was pressed up against yours.
âIâm not doing anythingâ you mumbled quietly. Her body was so warm. You felt like you were about to have a heart attack, and Ellie felt like she already did.
âIf I would have stayed⌠I would have done something⌠so much worseâ she whispered. Her hands were trembling.
âWhat would you have done?â you whispered against her. Dangerously close now. You could feel her unsteady heartbeat.
âYou knowâ she whispered back. You saw the vein on her neck, how beautifully spattered the freckles on her skin were, like a constellation.
âPleaseâ you begged.
Thatâs all it took.
Almost.
"No," she whispered, her voice barely audible. The proximity between your lips was almost intimate, an agonizingly close distance.
âPleaseâ you begged.
Her eyes were dark, breaths unsteady and fast, like she just ran a marathon. Her chest was rising up and down. Sheâs dreamt of this moment, for so fucking long. But she couldnât. She couldnât fuck more people up. Sheâs done more than enough.
âYou donât know what you fucking do to meâ She whispered against your skin. Her eyes were shut closed. If she didnât see, maybe it wouldâve been less wrong. If she didnât see, maybe Cat wouldnât either. She could go home, kiss her girlfriend good night. Walk away. But there you were, pressed up against her, making her head spin like a carousel, fogging her brain with your scent, and your lips, and all of the times she pictured you like this, helpless and begging. She never looked at Cat how she looked at you. Cat never made her feel like she could faint at any given moment. Cat was safe, she was a sunny day. You were a thunderstorm, a cloud, soaking her up. When Ellie said she would have done something so much worse, she meant that.
Cat was right when she told her to stay away, she always was. When Ellie begged Cat to stop her ramblings, Cat told her she looks at you like sheâs hungry. That itâs disgusting, that she wishes it was her. She was crying, and begging, and she was right. Thatâs why Ellie knocked on your door that way. One person she could save.
Ellieâs hands were firmly pressed up against the wall, locking you in.
âYou dont knowâŚâ she whispered.
You whimpered silently at her words. You were aching everywhere, you just needed her to do something.
âShow meâ you said, and it came out more as a plead. You were begging her.
Ellie leaned in, drawing her face closer to yours, and your lips delicately brushed against each other. The electrifying touch sent a shiver down your spine, evoking a soft, involuntary moan that escaped your lips. It went straight to her heart, and then slipped right to her cunt.
Her lips were plump against yours. Just barely touching.
She delicately brushed her lips against yours, causing a gentle collision that sent a jolt of electricity through both of you. A shaky breath escaped her mouth.
âEllieâŚâ you whispered. Ellie, just do it. you canât take it anymore.
She abruptly slammed her hands against the wall, causing it to tremor ever so slightly. The suddenness of the action startled you, making you jump in response.
âShitâ she huffed.
And her lips werenât against yours anymore, neither was she.
Ellie backed away. She couldnât.
Your lips quivered, and there it was. Her precious thunderstorm erupting.
The tears came out hot, and sticky. They ran all over your cheeks. You let out a quiet sob. Ellie was staring, her breaths uneven and her mouth agape. She almost did what shes been dreaming of doing since the moment she saw you. Almost.
your legs betrayed you, giving out completely. You crumbled down onto the floor, unable to stand any longer. With tears welling up in your eyes, you instinctively curled up, bringing your head between your legs as you tried to suppress the sobs that threatened to consume you.
It was a truly pathetic sight, Ellie towering over your quivering body. Itâs been two whole years, and you missed her every single day that passed. It was gnawing at you. Seeing them hand in hand, kissing on the street, making out behind the dumpster. Thinking of Ellie hugging her at night, caressing her skin, touching her everywhere, telling her she loves her, fucking her, tasting her and not you. It should have been you. But it couldnât be.
If only you knew that when Ellie was between her thighs, you were the only one she thought of. If only you knew Ellie had to bite her lip till it bled to stop from screaming your name. Thatâs why Ellie always turned off the lights, Thatâs why Ellie shoved Catâs face down on the bed with her entire palm when she took her from behind. Thatâs why she always closed her eyes.
Her body gave up on her, too.
She sat on the cold concrete floor, trying to steady her breaths.
âLook at meâ she commanded. It was breathy, and shaky, more of a plea than a real command.
You wiped your tears.
âI canâtâ you whispered.
âPleaseâ she begged.
You mustered the strength to lift your face, raising your gaze to meet hers.
âI think about you all the timeâ you blurted.
She huffed in response. Your soft voice was killing her. She couldnât even respond. She just watched.
âEllieâŚâ you whined. The distance between you was torturous. There was so much space, and at the same time, no space at all. You could still feel her lips brushing against yours. You wished you could taste her. She yearned for that even more. She felt like something was chaining her down to the floor, holding her captive.
What you did next, is something Ellie had buried deep inside her darkest fantasies.
You delicately caressed your smooth neckline, doe eyes burning through herâs.
Ellie swallowed deeply.
âWhat are you doing?â she mumbled, lower than a whisper. Her voice was raspy, and her pupils were blown out. She was imagining, for sure, hallucinating, intoxicated by the picture of you being pressed up against her. It couldnât be real.
âI need youâ you whimpered.
She almost crawled right to you right then and there. Her knees were spread open in front of you. Her breath hitched in her throat. Her heart felt like it was leaping out of her chest.
âYou cantâ she insisted. It felt like she tried to convince herself, and not you. You couldnât. Thereâs no way.
âI want youâ you whispered, lowering your hand to caress your breasts.
Something took over you. Being pent up with frustration for years birthed such a desperate sight, she couldnât fathom it.
She grunted in response. Do that again and sheâd lose her fucking mind.
You cupped your breast.
Ellie threw her head against the wall. She forgot how to breathe. Her nostrils were flared, and she almost slapped herself in order to convince her that this was real. This was happening.
âHoly shitâ she wheezed.
âPleaseâ you begged, and squeezed your breast forcefully. Your nippled hardened against the material, so you gave them a twist, sending a bolt of electricity right through your clothed cunt.
Ellieâs mouth was agape. She was transfixed, mesmerized. Her cheeks grew more red by the second. It was so fucking wrong, she almost told you to stop, but she couldnât. Her voice felt dry and her brain was buzzing. Her ex best friend was so desperate for her she couldnât even help herself.
The image of Cat went through her head. Cat seeing, walking in. Cat trembling and crying, telling her she told her so. Cat screaming at her that sheâs an awful person, that she hurt her, That she should burn in hell.
Then, you took your shirt off.
And Cat was gone.
Her eyes were darting from your tits to your needy eyes. You were giving her that look she only saw in her dreams. That desperate, pathetic twinkle in your eye. She saw a girl look like that in an old porno she found. Ever since, that picture of your face replacing the actresses burned through her memory. She knew it was for her, you were showing her, but she looked like she wasnât supposed to see, a peeping tom, a pervert. Her cunt twitched inside her tight black boxers. Cat never made her cunt feel like this.
The dainty lace bra adorned your body. you looked like an angel, eyes red from crying, cheeks still wet, chest rising up and down. She wanted to ruin you.
You stopped for a second, looked for a sign to keep going.
The room was silent, the only noises that muttered were your soft whimpers and Ellieâs harsh, uneven breaths.
âTake it offâ she whispered. You almost couldnât believe she said that. You nodded pathetically. She always knew youâd be like this. She imagined you nodding your head frantically, kneeling beneath her and undoing her belt, way too many times she wouldnât dare to admit. Her heavy breaths were a confession to all of her sins.
You unclasped your bra, your tits spilling out of it with a sigh of relief.
Ellie was hypnotized, fully staring. She remembered the first tine she saw you in a bikini. Jesse noticed she was staring, and he gave her some advice. âLook at the ground or the sky, pretend thereâs something super interesting going on thereâ
She didnât need to pretend now.
âFuckâ she grunted, feeling her cunt twitch inside her briefs. Her mouth was agape, she wanted those nipples between her teeth. Her tongue slightly moved involuntarily inside her mouth, imitating the kitten licks sheâd give your tits if she could. It was truly pathetic. Thank god you couldnât see. Her fists were clenched, and she was forcing her feet onto the ground. If she pretended something was pulling her in, she wouldnât crawl towards you and take you like she always wanted.
You toyed with your nipples, rolling them between your fingers, almost as if you read her mind.
âSpit on âemâ Ellie demanded desperately.
âEllieâŚâ You whimpered, her voice was making you grow wetter by the second. If you took your pants off, she could see the wet patch that soaked through your panties, making them almost sheer. You were almost embarrassed, but it was too late now.
âDo itâ she commanded.
âDo it for meâ Ellie begged. She brought a hand up to cup at her perky clothed breast. She imagined it was you, your tits between her fingers. She wanted to squeeze the fat, take it in, spit on it, latch her mouth onto your nipples, slap them as you ride her thigh, or her face, or her whatever the fuck you wanted.
The saliva ran down your chest, droplets flowing at an incredibly slow pace, each and every one of them teasing Ellie, mocking her. Almost there, almost reaching your sensitive nipples. When it finally did, Ellie was breathing so heavy she almost wheezed.
You rubbed the spit all over your tits, glazing your nipples with the liquid, coating them shiny with your saliva - all for her. You were staring at ellie with your mouth open. You moaned at the sensation, making Ellie shift and slightly slide off the wall. She was gone.
âFeels so goodâ you whined.
âFucking shitâ She huffed. She bucked her hips, searching for that friction. She didnât do it yet, but oh she will.
âMhhmâ you hummed, a high pitched moan escaping your lips.
Ellie almost went cross eyed.
âNeed you, pleaseâ You whispered while massaging your breasts. You were squeezing the fat harshly, almost punishing yourself for being such a dirty, desperate girl.
âShow meâ She begged, in between breaths.
âShow me how bad - shitâ
You cupped your cunt, your hand feeling warm over it. Your clit twitched. Ellie let out a moan so deep, you almost came right then and there, all over your panties.
You circled your clit through your pants, teasing Ellie without even realizing. I can do it, and you canât! It felt like you were mocking her.
âTake that shit off â fuckâ she huffed. Her hand was resting on her thigh, pinching it. Stay down. Donât crawl, donât fuck, donât cheat.
In a matter of six seconds, your pants were on the floor. You crossed your legs together in embarrassment. What if she saw how wet you were?
âSpreadâ She commanded.
You looked at her stupidity.
âSpread âem, pleaseâ Ellie begged.
You spread your legs slowly, revealing your soaked white cotton panties to Ellie. Her eyes rolled back at the sight.
âFucking shitâ she grunted.
Her hand met her own cunt and gave it a stinging slap, followed by a desperate grunt. She moved her veiny hand up and down, almost grabbing her pussy. She felt perverted, and sickly, and so, so good. The friction of her hand on her cunt was followed by a string of deep moans, chanting your name like a prayer. She didnât even know how bad she needed it.
âWiderâ She commanded.
You spread your legs so wide your thighs almost hurt. When Ellie saw that wet spot, she lost it.
âSo wetâ she whispered in disbelief.
âShow me that pussyâ She whimpered.
âShow me that fucking pussyâ
You moved your panties to the side, the cold air hitting your clit making you flinch. You swore you could cum just from clenching in and out, listening to the obscenities leaving her mouth.
âHoly shitâ She moaned, and cupped her cunt forcefully.
âSo prettyâ she whispered. It was even prettier than she thought, glistening folds and a little puffy button poking out. She needed to see inside, everywhere.
âSpread it with your fingersâ She grunted. You parted your lips with your pointer finger and your thumb, wide open for her. She saw how bad you were clenching, begging for something inside. Your puffy clit moved with every pull.
âWanna fuck you so badâ she groaned, it was killing her.
âNeed to see you Ellie, please, pleaseâ you begged.
With that whine leaving your mouth, Ellie unzipped her jeans, and pulled down her boxers slowly, revealing you of the most beautiful sight youve ever seen in your life.
Her thighs were creamy, a mound of soft, dark hair adorning her pubis. Her slick was shining on her milky inner thighs from the boxer briefs she took off slightly brushing on them. She was so wet, it almost glistened like a far away star, deep in the galaxy. Her mouth was parted and she looked famished.
Tiny droplets of sweat were shining on her forehead, making her hair stick to her face. She was a panting, desperate mess.
You couldnât help but slide your hand up your thigh, and started running your fingers through your glistening folds. Finally. âOh god, Ellieâ you moaned. You wished those were her fingers, if you could, if you only could.
Ellie moaned like a porn star at the sight. You thought she might tease herself, might play with her cunt before doing something. She proved you wrong.
She slid two long fingers inside her aching hole, squelching sounds filling the air. She pumped them in and out, fucking herself like a madwoman. Her hungry eyes were fixated on your fingers caressing your needy cunt. Her mouth was watering, borderline drooling, soft âah!âs escaping her lips.
You circled your clit slowly, and felt your lower stomach leap at the contact. You lapped your slick with your middle finger, and sucked on it. It was obscene. Ellieâs cunt twitched. She almost came.
âGood girlâ She groaned at the sight.
âFasterâ She commanded, a deep moan escaping her lips.
You fastened your pace, and she was looking you directly in the eyes while pumping her fingers inside her cunt. With every pump, you could see a milky cream coating her fingers, the sight alone made your puffy clit ache with pleasure.
It was so wrong, and obscene, and pathetic, and you almost came.
âFucking shit â fuck yourself, show me, fuck yourselfâ She whimpered, fastening her pace as well. The moans that left her mouth were deep, bursting from the inside of her soul.
Her fucking ex best friend.
âE â Ellie mâcloseâ you whined, inserting a finger inside your soaking hole.
âCan see how fucking tight you are - fuckâ
âFaster, do it fâme baby fasterâ She groaned.
The harmony of your moans intertwined, creating an intoxicating symphony.
âEllie â gonna cum, fuckâ You babbled, drool running down your chin. You were so close, eyes rolling to the back of your Ellie filled brain.
âPlease fuck me, please fuck meâ
âCu â Fuck, shit, mâcumingâ Ellie grunted.
âSay my fucking nameâ She demanded, her words coming out so sloppy and ridiculous.
âEllie â Ellie! Please!â
Ellie almost screamed. She wanted to tell you to come for her, wanted to hear the noises youd make, see your face twist and the screams of her name, but she couldnât help herself, the sight of your desperate cunt and the look on your face, so stupid, so cumdrunk, so pathetic, begging her to fuck you - brought her to the edge. It errupted inside of her like a volcano, pumping and squeezing on her fingers. She rode her orgasm until it tickled and hurt.
When you came, Ellie almost shed a tear.
This wasnât just wrong.
This was vile.
She pulled up her pants up and left without saying a word, too embarrassed to look you in the face.
When she got home, Cat was sound asleep on her bed. She gave her a delicate kiss on the cheek, and whispered;
âIâm so sorryâ
hello, can you write about damian priest x reader where she just got into the main roster on RAW and she felt left out in the women's lockerroom (except becky and liv) and a impossible crush with the archer of infamy but he is the one who ask her out
love this request!
âźď¸a little angst and rheaâs a little mean, sorry
damian priest x reader
my birdie
you were a shy person.
always been. but when it came to wrestling, you were an animal, everyone knew about your abilities and they loved you for it. thatâs why you went from nxt to smackdown and from smackdown to raw in less than two years.
people wanted to see you doing big things and big things came when hunter placed you in a completely different roaster.
you made some friends in nxt, youâve been there the most so your colleagues got to know you better. itâs not that you were rude, you didnât like being on your own either but you were shy.
some of your colleagues got to know this side of you and tried to involve you in more activities together, others didnât care as they all wanted to focus on themselves.
when you spent a few months on smackdown, everyone apart from bayley ignored you. she immediately understood what you were feeling. fear of being alone and starting in a roaster where you didnât know anybody and the fact that you werenât talkative at all was making it 100% harder.
you were grateful for bayley and for her patience with you, thatâs why you cried to her when you were being shifted on raw.
you wanted to be on raw, you were just scared of how you were going to be treated. it wasnât easy on smackdown but at least you made a friend.
the first two weeks were hard. bayley was constantly checking on you, making sure you were okay and doing good. she even said to the other girls that you were shy and needed a little time to open up but it felt like they didnât care.
liv and becky were the only two people who never made you feel unwanted. they took times to introduce you to the rest of the raw squad.
basically, everyone was ignoring you.
shayna tried to get to know you, and in fact she liked your shy and calm persona but she was too focused on her goals to have time to get to know you better. still, you appreciated her efforts. she still spent time eating lunch with you and you were really grateful for that.
but, apart from the three girls, it was clear that you were unwanted. other girls saw you as a threat.
especially rhea. you would describe the meeting with the judgment day âthe most scary day of your lifeâ. liv introduced you to them and you felt like an animal in a cage when you felt all of their eyes on you.
dom and finn didnât really care about you. rhea ignored you but kept watching you. damian, well, damian had the audacity to make some stupid jokes about your shy persona.
âwhat is a scared birdie like you doing in a place like this?â he joked making everyone but liv laugh âcat really got your tongue birdie? be safe out there, youâre a little bird in a room full of cats ready to eat you aliveâ
âand the one right hereâ dom said pointing at rhea âis the scariest cat youâll ever meetâ and with that they all left.
you remember crying that night.
you also knew that becky and liv had a conversation with them because they stopped poking at you. they just watched you from afar. especially damian. who you got a little crush on but could never tell him. you couldnât really understand why he was constantly watching you. when you were training. when you were on live television. when you were basically doing nothing. he was watching you and his beautiful but firm eyes made you a little scared.
âwhat is she doing here?â you heard rhea saying to finn, one time you were all training together. she didnât know you were listening but you were. and her words hurt you âshe looks like a lost princess from disneylandâ she said making finn laugh.
you excused yourself from training with becky and seth and they immediately knew something was wrong. they took you under their protective wing, training with you and teaching you new moves.
âjeez rhea, was that necessary?â becky said with an angry look on her face.
âwhat?â she said like nothing happened.
âwhy do you all hate her so much? what has she ever done to you?â seth said to finn and the rest of the judgment day.
silence.
they had no reason to hate her âlike i thoughtâ seth said.
âsheâs in the wrong placeâ rhea said, not making eye contact with becky.
âwrong place? she kicked your ass last weekâ becky said laughing âjust because sheâs shy doesnât mean she isnât capable, sheâs just as smart and strong as you rheaâŚshe just has more difficulty to open up to peopleâŚyou guys should help her instead of making fun of her, or at least, if you donât feel that kind to get to know her, ignore herâŚfor her own sake, stop making fun of herâ becky said very annoyed before leaving with seth.
that night you kept thinking about rheaâs words. maybe you really were in the wrong place. maybe you didnât belong with them. maybe you really should be doing something different. and those thoughts made you cry because wrestling was all you ever wanted to do in your entire life.
but before you could overthink again, a soft knock on your hotel room awaked you from your wandering mind.
you werenât definitely expecting to see damian priest in front of you.
âheyâŚâ he smiled at you.
âyou should at least wait until tomorrow to make fun of meâ you said, looking at the ground âagainâŚâ
damian felt guilty.
he saw how you quickly wiped your tears away. he also knew he fucked up.
he felt guilty because in reality he was in love with you. you caught his attention the moment liv introduced you to them. he was watching every move you made, making sure you were being safe but he didnât want to let you know what he was feeling.
âiâm here to apologiseâŚâ
âsureâ you still werenât looking at him.
âiâm serious y/nâŚiâm so sorry for how i made you feel, for how me and my team made you feelâŚâ he began apologising and you let him in the room before you could catch otherâs attention âwe thought it was funny at first butâŚwe clearly werenât thinking and for that iâm so sorry, we didnât mean to hurt youâ he said truthfully but still you werenât looking at him.
his eyes had a different effect on you.
âcan you please look at me?â he said moving closer to your body âare you scared of me birdie?â
âiâm not scaredâŚâ you said raising your eyes.
now you were both looking into each otherâs eyes.
âiâm sorryâŚreally, so so sorry for hurting youâŚâ he apologised again.
âitâs okay damianâŚthank you for your apology, uhmâŚitâs okay now i guessâ you shyly smiled at him.
âand if youâre okayâŚi would like to get to know you a little bit moreâŚonly if youâre okay with thatâ he said a little awkwardly.
âyesâŚitâs okay for meâ
âperfectâ he smiled âwhat about tomorrow? iâll take you somewhere nice for lunch, if youâre free of courseâ he rambled.
âiâm freeâ you smiled, seeing how funny he was being.
âthen iâll see you tomorrow birdieâ he smirked before leaving your room.
âwould you ever stop calling me that?â you asked him.
âi donât think soâ he smiled at you closing your hotel door.
you looked at the door for about ten minutes before moving into your bed, smiling like a teen who just got asked out.
now, all you had to do was to get a nice sleep and waiting for tomorrow to come.
