Poundcake is a pinch server. You know those underhand serves that go halfway up to the ceiling and are impossible to see? That's his deal. If he gets sent in to serve he can pretty easily change the tide of a game with a few service aces.

Pete is an opposite hitter. He's the strongest morale booster on the team and putting him on the court can reset the mental of an entire game (think suga from haikyuu). He always has a good read on not only where his teammates' heads are at, but also the opposition. He's not just morale though, he has an absolutely wicked cross shot.

TapL is another libero! Yes haha short joke but I also have real reasons. He's extremely good at non-traditional receives and has the dexterity to back it up (ie noya and terushima's kick receives, hinata rolling backwards to receive a powerful spike, or bokuto receiving the ball with his damn chest in MSBY). Can launch himself insanely far on a dive for a receive.

Mime is an opposite hitter. A play of his that really messes up opponents is swapping with Fein and setting for him instead of vice versa (hello house of nightmares key minigame). There's genuinely not much that he's weak at and he's known as a jack of all trades. He's a good read blocker too so his defensive ability isn't just through receives. Opponents tend to somehow miss him approaching so he's able to score a lot of points without blockers.

random thought but what irks me A LOT about false being overlooked in the mainstream hc fandom is that her peers (and their chats) respect and admire her a lot. the mcsr folks. mcc people obviously. hbomb pete aimsey etc etc. we’ve even got technoblade. and false is a consistent uploader and present in a lot of collabs and engages with a lot of the server so…???????? it wasn’t always like this. like the situation was Normal in 2021??? what happened

Announcing the MCSR Mini Gift Exchange February 2025!!!!!!

This event is identical to the Mini Gift Exchange run back in August! It will take place from January 17th (when signups open) to 18th February (end of posting period). Here is the Discord server that the event will take place through - do join if you're interested and not already here! Event brief:

1. Participants will join a Discord server to participate in the event.

2. Participants will complete a signup form, stating their requested prompt in the process. The prompt must be MCSR-related.

3. Participants will go through a claims stage in which claims open at the optimal time (we will ask for time zones in the signup form). Claims will be on a first come first served basis, and you will be asked to list several prompts you'd like to fulfil in case you do not get your first choice. This will be done through another form.

4. Mods will contact participants to tell them their final prompt. Please ensure you have DMs open so we can do so. If all your prompts have been taken, we will have to ask you to choose another (we will be removing taken prompts from the claims spreadsheet so you can see).

5. As soon as all prompts are taken, or as soon as the set start for the creation period begins, participants are free to begin working on their gift. Writers should have minimum 1k words and artists at the very least a coloured piece (doesn't have to be rendered). Please maintain anonymity at this point as we would like the gifts to be a surprise!

6. If at any point, you feel you are unable to keep going with your gift, please contact mods so that we can discuss and get a pinch hitter if needed.

7. Once you have completed your gift, we would like you to complete a form to announce you have completed. Then, once posting period begins, you are free to post. At this point you are able to drop anonymity, or if preferred, you can post anonymously. Please tag the recipient of your gift in the post you make/gift to them on Ao3/however you choose to gift!

8. Once posted, another form will come out to ensure you have posted.

Rules:

1. You agree to do your best to produce an adequate gift of either a writing piece minimum 1k or a coloured (doesn't have to be rendered) art piece for your chosen prompt within two weeks.

2. If you are unable to do this, you must quickly contact a mod and inform them so a pinch hitter can be found.

3. As per Discord, Ao3 and Tumblr TOS, you must be at least 13 years old to participate. You must have a Tumblr and Discord account.

confused what to do about lifesteal. I feel weird about not having thoughts about devotions. Like I wanna watch streams but also I can't watch vods it just won't do it properly.

Like yeah, I'm watching alot of hbg but like. Speedrunning is Not lifesteal, speedrunning is literally a hobby like its something that I'm trying to become good at. Like it's just So different to lifesteal in ways I can't explain.

I watch lifesteal out of pure enjoyment of the server. I love watching things on there. I love being invested in things happening and writing/ drawing about it.

Whereas watching mcsr is like a mechanical thing. I watch it in the way people watch sports more than anything else. I'm like its literally something that I (kinda) do, it's something I can watch learn and improve at.

i want camman to play lockout so badly.

he’s sooo funny, and a lot is aligned for him to have fun playing lockout. like. some of his tips shorts are so mcsr coded and he streams SPEEDRUNNING random blocks already FOR FUN. he’s friends with hbgers (fein, mime, etc.) to be able to hang out with them in the modded server. andronicus’s lockout tourney is coming up soon, so a lot of mcsr should be down to practice. he’s normally down to meet new people for content purposes (for example recording yt vids and blockwars). he’ll enjoy lockout, right? he’ll enjoy being kidnapped by mcsr, right? Im gonna say no.

There’s not a ton of us, and from my knowledge no one there has mentioned the dteam.

Now I know that fully canceled creators will not be included at all, but when it comes to other creators it’s up to the mods. I’m not a mod, just an avid supporter of the group.

It is so hard to think like properly about lifesteal rn- like im so focused on speedrunning. But either way I'm vaguely thinking about rek in terms of both ls and mcsr. Not in a way that is making sense yet but it's getting there. Like just in terms of habits he's picked up from speedrunning and ends up doing whilst on lifesteal.

Like I think he's always moving, he always is moving in circles, fidgeting with his inventory or like in a crafting table making things that are often utterly useless on lifesteal. For awhile, whilst doing tunnel rats he would make gold pickaxes out of habit and just use them up instead of using his good pickaxe, just cause he would craft them whilst with people. He also sometimes habitually crafts the string from a string duper into wool instead of trading it.

Along with this, he has a much more empty inventory than most of the other players on the server. Often carrying the bare minimum amount of things and only worrying about it when he would be fully out of an item.

Food wise, he is one of the only people with a sort of varied diet, on the server due to habitually running out of food in awkward areas and just getting the first thing he sees. On another note, he does tend to save his food more than the pvpers who eat to heal alot more than he does. Waiting till the perfect point to eat.
