Another thing about the DA devs being so anti-blood magic because they've bought into their own made up religion a little too hard.

Both in DA:I and in DA:V (DAV SPOILERS DON'T LOOK) we were/will be able to sympathize with Solas to an extent, like no, we cannot burn the world with him but what we've been shown of the game tells that, like in DA:I players are able to have a different relationship with him.

You know, with the guy whose plans will have the side effect of genociding a good chunk of the world's population. That guy.

Is that not morally grey? So why is blood magic any less morally grey, no matter how you can use it? Burning people alive is a certified Bad Thing, so is murder. Yet I don't see the devs taking away fire magic or making it so that you do not kill any enemy (because this is a game!)
