Chasca and Chuychu in their little domestic has been one of the better sibling dynamics stories I've witnessed in quite a long time. Both equally stubborn, one with an affliction and one whose trade and training is in medically dealing with said affliction.
And here we see something that's quite fleshed out, and not just the typical bland beige boring sisters who are quite smitten with each other-- these two have a very rough relationship with so much friction, yet you can see the love is definitely not lost between them. One could even argue that this friction is in fact because of that same love.
Sweet. Me likes. Hopefully we get to see more of C x C.

Hii!!
After reading Sagau Neuvillete I can’t avoid asking for Sagau Arlecchino.
If you don’t want to write for her is fine
And thanks for the Sagau Neuvillete!!!
Sagau Arlecchino
(Pairing): Arlecchino x gn!reader
(Tags/Warnings): Reader is crazy, crack fic, reader has a dysfunctional family (mentioned (sorry those with normal healthy families)), possible ooc Arlecchino, traveler is left ambiguous, takes place during the Fontaine archon quest and Arlecchino’s story quest, (if I missed anything lmk)
(Word Count): 550
(A/n): Sorry this took so long, as said before Arlecchino is a bit hard to write for
❌ The Knave had a very busy schedule, with her running the house of the Hearth to other Harbinger obligations, so why is she in Monstadt collecting mist flower corolla?
❌ It started in the most unlikely place, a tea party between Furina, Neuvilette and her
❌ Though you were quiet throughout the meeting but she felt a divine presence, similar to the presence she felt whenever she’s near the Tsarita yet different and more powerful
❌ Her second interaction with you was during her second meeting with Furina with the traveler in Neuvilette’s place. Grilling into the hydro archon she asked about her escape plan for when the prophecy came to fruition
“She don’t gotta explain shit!”
❌ Those were your first words to the Knave, brash and crude. The complete opposite of what she had expected them to be
❌ She won’t lie in saying that she’s a bit disappointed in how her first meeting went out, perhaps she shouldn’t have pushed as hard as she did. She still doesn’t agree with Furina’s seemingly lack of action but if she has your support then she’ll back off
❌ The next time she interacted with you was after the prophecy was fulfilled. The salty breeze whips around her and the traveler, the idle chitchat around her was dulled in her mind by your voice
“I’m not going to stop you, you can take the gnosis to Snezhnaya.”
❌ She initially expected a fight, but your words took her by surprise
❌ Not only that you aren’t going stop her, you also gave her your approval for her and the Fatui’s mission
❌ Maybe she was wrong about you
❌ A few days later she sense the familiar divine presence
“Hey babygirl.”
❌ “Babygirl?” She did hear you call other vision users that, whatever it is she’s glad that you aren’t still mad at her as you were during the tea party
❌ After some talk she brought the traveler with her to her meeting with the Iudex to discuss some things
*gasp* “babygirl!”
❌ That word again, maybe it’s a term of endearment that the divine uses, if that’s the case then she’ll wear it with pride
“Bye hydro daddy~”
❌ The day went on without much trouble until the battle for Filliol and Nanteuil’s freedom commenced. Arlecchino was thankful that you didn’t talk much throughout the fight because she doesn’t know what she would do if she was caught off guard by one of your comments
❌ Bringing the traveler in her domain she walked towards them but stoped when she hears a moan and you saying
“I love a woman who can kick my ass.”
❌ A blush crept up on Arlecchino’s face, she’s flattered but she wouldn’t dare raise a hand towards the divine creator even if you wanted her to. The fight carried on with more of your commentary
“Damn this family is more dysfunctional than mine’s, and that’s saying something!”
❌ If Arlecchino was taking a sip from a drink she definitely would have spit it out, she’s supposed to be threatening and now she’s doesn’t know if she should laugh or cry
❌ Whatever the she should do the rumors about you are true, you seem to can’t take anything seriously

Omg if youre taking requestsss,
Could u plsss do something like reader is being neglected bcuz (charac) is too busy with work but then they realise and then spend time.. like angst to fluff ahh
Maybe with few characters like cyno, haitham, wanderer, xiao??
Thank you!!
💗💗💗
prompt! Been away for too long, won't you atleast miss me?
cw! gn! reader, tooth-rotting fluff (SFW), clinginess, maybe a crybaby reader in a certain part, words of affirmation, established relationship, lots of tender moments, mentions of Chasm Archon Quest
note! i love fluff. this is adorable so i shall deliver. plus, i think my acc needs some fluff too after all the smut I've written! (´ . .̫ . `)...
Here we are, overthinking again. In all seriousness, this can't be! Many suns and moons have passed, yet he still hasn't said a single word about his whereabouts! Did he somehow forget about contacting you? Maybe he fell down a hole through a ditch never to be heard again.. Perhaps he fell in-love with another lovely surpassing your wits and charm?
You were no stranger to solitude. It doesn't scratch an itch anywhere in your mind space that requires you to gnaw on your lip every waking moment you feel that churning feeling in your stomach. Definitely not— Absolutely not! You believe that some parts in life are needed alone to be addressed with just the right amount of tenacity and resistance. You would come back to your loved ones with triumphant smiles chanting "I'm back, I'm back! I did it!" like a warrior.
Your mind spiraled into incoherent theories about his unknown agendas— too indulged notice the recurring voice that seems to speak your name.
And when you finally turn to see behind was when he finally graces your presence.
CYNO.
There was tense aura in the air, the last breath leaving even more awkward than the last. It was obvious Cyno wants to say something, but his lips stay sealed— quietly observing you waiting to see how you will move instead.
It seems as if he thinks you're really upset. Just an inference, his intuition— a baseless assumption. I mean, who wouldn't be after leaving your partner hanging for 3 months straight venturing out into the desert?
He's a lovely partner. You think that, wholeheartedly. You really do. But seriously!? You understand there must've been at least some sort of viable explanation, but a part of you couldn't help but feel upset.
"I'm glad you're home safe." You finally speak, releasing a big sigh. It was as if a big weight lifts off your chest. Your smile says nothing more than joy and relief. Well, maybe a little too joyful.
Because you know full well if you speak your next words, your voice would break.
So you keep your lips pursed only for you to keep your own thoughts. Cyno is no average man. As a Mahamatra with fearsome agendas, his life is always on the line whenever he ventures out into the wild. Once, he returned to Avidya Forest with curse marks all over his body— crimson spurs trail over his gear, you were barely keeping it together!
Seconds pass, it was grew concerning that none of you were saying.. well, words. After all, you both have just reunited, and Cyno has probably gone through a rigorous mission that rendered his lips sealed, right? With curious eyes, you steal a glance from his figure. Your partner stood with remarkable posture, eyes evasive of yours. The young man seemed to be contemplating something.. expression a little solemn and glum.
With a gulp and a hesitant stare, he finally speaks his mind.
"I'm.. sorry. Forgive me, dear. There was a huge misconduct within the Akademiya and Matras I had to keep anonymous for—" he stops a little before continuing. Cyno's gaze is at the floor. "I had to keep anonymous for you.. for us. I couldn't send out letters. Please forgive me, (Y/n)."
Cyno takes another deep breath. "I understand if you'd like to lash out on my sudden return, so feel free to do so—" you quickly wave your hands in fluster.
"Ah, no no no! Really, Cyno, it's fi—ne...uhuh." You suddenly hiccuped.
With the first crack of your voice, your eyes immediately began to flow waterfalls. Salty tears pricked your (e/c) optics glossing over them with a glint. Cyno immediately rushes to your side whilst you immediately clung onto him like he's your life line.
Oh, Archons. He's your life. Just by his voice just now, you almost felt like your heart melted AND got crushed at the same time with just the weight of his words. Lash out? Of course you would! You're worried SICK. And you've missed him!
"You have no idea! I was holding onto these for 15 minutes earlier!" Your voice broke, fighting for your feelings. Cyno only wipes away your tears and nose with his sleeves in panic— repeating his apologies in a hushed voice over and over again.
AL HAITHAM.
The scent of scroll dust, his calloused hands, his warm breath on your head. For the past hours of his return, you only asked for one thing: to be held until you, yourself— let go of him. And judging by how how long Al Haitham has unknowingly neglected you, he's willing to make up for his wordless days.
But..
"Hey, honey.. dear..?" the Scribe softly calls out, gently tapping your shoulder. "Sweetheart? (Y/n)?" A little too indulged in his arms, you fail to give a response. This was when he sighed, and nuzzles deeper into your neck.
"(Y/n), it's been six hours. Surely you're feeling a little better now?"
"You've been gone for months."
"I know. But it's almost dinner, and we haven't eaten yet."
"We can starve here." You respond just as quickly. He sweatdrops, unable to tell if you were joking or dead serious. Look, his arm is cramping, his whole body is sweating, and he's dehydrated. The blanket that was wrapped around your body was on the floor, and you seem to be a little tired yourself. Taking matters into his own hands, you get surprised that his arms suddenly wrap tighter around you, lifting you up in his arms.
"You're ridiculous," Al Haitham puts you around his shoulder like you're a sack of rice, making his way through the kitchen. "I'm making dinner. You cling onto me all you want. We're eating."
After all, you never said anything about him moving while holding you, right?
All you could do was grumble and whine in his ears. The scribe doesn't seem to mind, as he gets a pan, his seasonings, and his food. Tapping your back occasionally, with every turn he make, your partner makes sure the doesn't accidentally burn or hit you with something while you're in his shoulders. With time passing, you're starting to get a little embarrassed yourself.. getting dragged all the way from the bedroom the the kitchen. Tugging on his clothes, you called out his name.
"Haitham, please let me down.."
Maybe it was the wind carrying your words away, but he doesn't seem to react. Your partner only focuses on whatever he's frying at the moment with his free arm on your figure. With lips pursed, you repeat again.
"Haitham."
"I heard you. I don't want to, you're staying there."
"What? No way! You're probably tired!"
"Oh? Don't back out now, I was going to feed you as well. I'm yours the whole week— I'm not leaving your sights very soon." Your partner says with a voice enough to leave no room for rebuttals and arguments. Seeing your face, slowly being taken over with embarrassment, ignites a small flame in him.
After a few mere moments of your silence, you grasp onto his clothing once again. This time, your voice was softer, a little more calmer.
"You're gonna be mine the whole week?"
WANDERER.
Ever since his return, the Wanderer has been gracing you with diverse stories from different parts of the land. Now, he isn't one to ramble his mouth nor entertain anybody with his experiences— so the indigo haired man could consider this "spoiling" you rotten.
After a long, exhilarating lectures of Vahumana Darshans, as well as interviews from other nations regarding his thoughts on different political matters— Wanderer has finally made enough time to spend with people he could actually tolerate.
On the other hand, he has been too kind, taking you to vast sceneries and feeding you all sorts of delicacies. It's as if he's trying to make up for something.. and you know what, you have no idea. But this? This is nice! Ignoring his witty and no-filter-opinion attitude, Wanderer has been significantly nicer to you last time you met.
Shopping, sight seeing, trying all sorts of new things. After all, what does he do with all the Mora he receives when he's but a puppet who doesn't even need to eat nor sleep?
He looks for no reciprocation nor gratitude, because he unknowingly believes seeing your smiling face because of him is enough to make his entire day. Of course, that doesn't stop you from profusely thanking him and actively trying to lessen all the things being given to you because do you really deserve it?
I'd you asked him, he'd look at you like you're crazy. Why wouldn't you deserve it? Why else wouldn't it be you? Do you prefer I do this for anyone else?
As night engulfs the sky, kissing it with a gentle good bye, the moonlight greets your resting frame. The Wanderer had found interestingly large lily pads that could hold up to 4 persons. Apparently, aranara's use it to navigate around lakes they couldn't get across.
The scenery is wonderful. Fireflies emerge from the shadows, and the lake sings a mellifluous tune every gush of waves it encounters. You were resting well, and his elysian self was beside you.
You were strange, that's for sure. Strange enough he'd like to keep taking you in like you're oxygen, as if you're some sort of life line to live from. Wanderer is not a man with too much words, so he could only gaze up to your figure.
A familliar noise of waddling makes their way towards you, an Aranara falling suit. It bee lines towards your figure, cozing up to your body.
Wanderer picks it up by its head gear, clicking his tongue.
"Hey. No cuddling. You lay beside me."
XIAO.
Xiao melts deeper into your arms as if he's lightweight, surprising you with the sudden return of his warmth.
His touches were featherlight, his firm hands on the small of your back. Fully aware of his fatigue eating away his skin, the Adeptus clutches your figure tightly.
"Sorry.." Xiao's voice was barely above a whisper. You frown upon his state, but your eyes were never pitiful. He knew of that. You say nothing but hold him in your arms in response. Mere moments pass with the wind blowing ever so softly in the sky.
You lull him with soft whispers, sweet nothings grazing his ear leaving out one another. Xiao's a little bashful— he's the one who's failed to keep up with your mundane agendas in everyday life leaving you alone, yet upon his return— you greet him with the best embrace this world has to offer.
After all the events at the Chasm, his encounter with Bosacius, and most of all, the lingering miasma that's been exceedingly abundant within the area, Xiao wasn't able to make time and shake off all the troubles he's facing. The Adeptus lie solemn with the softest look in his eyes gazing at your own. You know full well if he opens his mouth now, all that will come pouring out is his endless apologies that could be recited in millenias.
Instead, your hands gently caressed his cheeks— pecking those pursed lips who let out a soft sigh.
Xiao returns the gesture by holding you waist down, firmly keeping his hands on you. Chasing after your lips it was like something clicked in him the moment you even lent him a moment of your vulnerability. He was hungry, that's for sure. The Adeptus made it obvious with his knitted brows and those piercing gaze.
Amusement bubbled at the bottom of your stomach, letting out a small chuckle. Xiao's confused eyes met yours, questioning your sudden interest.
"You returned to me, that's lovely."
He responds to your claim in a grumble, now averting his eyes. Xiao's hand never leaves yours.
"I have to.." Those hands slowly travel to your cheeks, caressing them in pure affection. "I need to."
my smutty writings are usually the ones who get attention, so I'm wondering how this one will do? 🎶 Anyway, I'm also planning on writing for Honkai Impact's Kalpas 🤞 STAY TUNED

After the Curtain Call
!4.2 ARCHON QUEST MAJOR(?) SPOILERS!
Furina has found herself indulging in more simple pleasures lately — one of which includes drowning in your comfort and attention. However, today takes a different turn than usual.
🌢 Furina x gn!reader
🌢 Genre: Fluff, comfort(?)
🌢 Warnings: 4.2 ARCHON QUEST MAJOR(?) SPOILERS, Furina might be OOC, may not be canon to lore or what happened after the 4.2 archon quest since I haven't done Furina's story quest yet, not entirely proofread
A/N: As mentioned in the warning since I haven't done Furina's story quest yet, I don't actually know what happened after the events of the 4.2 archon quest. Although I did have a f!reader in mind, it's mostly gender-neutral so anyone and all can enjoy :D The reader's origins are kept as vague as possible so their identity in Teyvat and how they came to know Furina and whatnot are up to your imagination BUT it's set that you're Furina's significant other and you know about the deeper plot line. Anyway I've become such a Furina enthusiast I had to write this love live laugh Furina
"Furina..."
"Huh? Who's that..?"
"Furina..."
"..Ah!"
Hey eyes widened, the déjà vu settling uncomfortably inside her yet she calmed at the sight of the caller.
"...Y/N.. did I fall asleep..?"
Furina asked groggily, reaching her hands to rub her eyes and to her surprise, it was wet.
"Oh.. was I..?"
"Mm, you were out for quite a while. What were you dreaming of?"
They glided their finger from her cheek to her eyes, gently wiping away the tears that formed during her slumber. Their warmth spread out onto her face, replacing the cold droplets that stained it before. It was comforting to say the least, and Furina wanted to bury herself in this feeling forever.
"Dream? I was dreaming of..."
(Thank you— all you've done— this moment—)
"—Furina?"
"..Sorry, did I space out?"
Furina's vision slowly came back into focus, giving them a tired smile and in return, received a worried one.
"Haha, it's alright. Do continue where you left off, you'll feel better once you let it out."
"Hm? What do you mean?"
Y/N stared at her solemnly, though their smile still there. Furina sat herself up and turned her curious gaze towards them. Once again, their hands moved to cup her face in them, shifting closer to Furina as they pressed a small kiss to the side of her eye where she finally felt it. Was she crying? Pulling away, they chuckled at her realization
"You were crying."
"Eh.. Is that so? ...This must be an overflow of Hydro from my person."
A stare down accompanied by a long silence followed before both of them bursted into a fit of laughter.
"Really now? As expected of the great Furina. Only one such as she could store so much Hydro in them to the point it'd overflow."
Their giggles continued to surround the quaint room they were in and as time would go on, so would the moment. They soon found themselves staring into the other again until Y/N ultimately broke the silence.
"Hey.. you're not the Hydro Archon anymore, okay? You don't have to carry your burdens by yourself. You could always tell me... or even Neuvillette! I'm sure he'd be more than happy for you to waltz into his doors unannounced, just as you once did."
"My dear, what are you implying!"
"Hehe, it's nothing. But.. seriously. I'm sure... Focalors wouldn't want you to be stuck in the past as well."
Furina's eyes widen. Now fully able to feel the tears falling down her face like a waterfall. Her façade slowly cracked, revealing her inner troubles deep down one by one as she buried her head into the crook of Y/N's neck. She sobbed endlessly, her hands clinging to their clothes with desperation as if they would leave her. Images flash through her mind: when she worked tirelessly to contribute to saving Fontaine, when she was found guilty and thought all hope was lost, when everyone had turned their backs to her upon the truth. All of them were still weighing in the back of her mind all this time, but she had deceived herself into thinking she left everything in the past, to the past.
"You're not alone anymore, Furina. I'll always be here for you."
That's right. Furina was no longer alone, now she could — and she would — rely on other people for her problems. Rely on Y/N.
"And I wish nothing but for you to be happy, Furina. Hush now, love."
Their voice made her feel like she was floating, slowly carrying her away from a deep, dark void into a world of only comfort and happiness. Their words swayed her back and forth gently and lulled her into slumber, one that was full of bliss, one where both of them would be in, one that made her the happiest.
With a final kiss to her forehead, they whispered lovingly to Furina.
"Let's live happily from now on," (—live happily—)
"As you once wished." (—Just as I wished we could—)
Oml I finished it. This was done over the course of a week or two so I'm starting to not really like how it turned out but OH WELL I'LL WRITE ABT GOING ON A DATE WITH HER NEXT MAYBE JUST SIMPLE WHOLESOME OUTING STUFF Thank you for readinggg

Stranger Danger~ {Genshin x reader} Teyvat Chapter 12 - The one and only Holy Lyre
*long chap
"Y/N! Y/N! Wakey wakeyyyyy!"
You groaned, pushing a certain fairy's head away. "Paimon, your hair is tickling me."
"We're going to meet up with Venti after dinner, you wanna go to Good Hunter's? Ooooh, Paimon loves their food!"
Abruptly opening your eyes, you shot up. "Dinner? It's night time already?"
Paimon crossed her arms, "Did you seriously sleep through the entire day? What were you doing when me and Aether were away?"
"Stuff. Yeahhh, let's go to Good Hunter's, I think I have enough money for a fried egg."
Aether popped his head in through the door. "Umm, are you sure? I can pay if you want?"
"Yeah! It's not healthy to just eat one egg for an ENTIRE day!" Paimon yelled, "Paimon would've eaten a hundred fried eggs if she could only eat eggs!"
"No seriously, I'm not hungry." You pushed Paimon out, "I'm gonna change, give me a minute girly pop."
The feeling of dread settled in your stomach when you read the clock, it had been over twelve hours and you, a gigantic foodie, still wasn't feeling hunger. "I would've eaten two burgers already." you grumbled, were you modified by the game? It would make sense since characters only needed to eat when they needed to heal or when they just felt like it. However, Paimon's words made sense for once. It wasn't normal. Would your body in Earth fail due to starvation and fatigue?
"I should probably eat..." You couldn't afford to return back to Earth and find that your body was already dead and you also couldn't afford Paimon or Aether noticing your weirdness.
"I thought you were only ordering for a Teyvat fried egg?" Paimon gaped at your third meal.
"I was joking." You cried silently inside, all your mora that you've earned by climbing walls and running around roofs were all gone. You were seriously considering to go to Leila and ask her to find you a job. "I need to finish the job quest quickly, Imma starve at this point..." you mumbled.
"Huh? You say something?" Paimon scratched her head.
"Must be your stomach rumbling. Go eat some more Paimon, you're a growing fairy you know." You pushed her towards Aether.
"Ooooh Aether! Can you get me another Mint Jelly? They're sooo goood."
"Paimon! That's your fifth Mint Jelly! We already have no mora for tomorrow!" Aether side eyed you.
Ignoring his eye daggers, you smile innocently, "But Aetherrrr , you could just pay up when you have enough mora..."
Sara who just happened to be passing by nodded, "Yes, we allow our customer to be in debt. They get to pay it on their next meal, however no more than ten thousand mora is allowed to be in debt. Should I write it up?"
Giggling, you stood up, "Aether, I'd be by the Cathedral. Toodles Paimon!"
-.-.-.
"Heeyyy Venti." You whispered next to his ear.
"Gahhhhh!" The boy yelped, choking on his dandelion wine. Venti wiped his mouth, glaring at you softly.
"You knew that I was there the whole time Mr Anemo Archon." You rolled your eyes, swiping a bottle of dandelion wine from his hand.
"I wasn't expecting you to whisper in my ear! Hey! That's my last unopened bottle!" Venti gaped at you as you guzzled half of the bottle down.
"Thank you, I will be keeping the entire bottle." You ignored his protests, the bottle disappearing in your hands as you placed it in your inventory. You didn't bother to put it in the infinite capacity bag from Skirk, Venti was a god. Why the fuck would he bother asking?
"So uhhh, how did you find out?" Venti giggled nervously, taking a cautious sip of dandelion wine.
You snorted. "Mr Anemo Archon, there is a big ass statue of you right in front of us. I don't know how your citizens don't notice but it's quite obvious that you are you."
Venti leaned closer, his turquoise eyes sparking in amusement, "And you never doubted that I purposefully made it so that no one would recognize me?"
You shrugged, "Why would I doubt it? You're Barbatos. You do whatever shit you want and that includes casting random voodoo shit, oh, and stealing your own lyre."
The god snickered hysterically, "Voodoo? Of course not. Why would I ever cast Voodoo? However, I must say that I'm quite surprised that you noticed immediately. The power of my spells are quite strong. As for the lyre..." He hummed quietly.
"Blub."
"What the fuck. Didn't I put you in the closet?" Your eyes went wide as Bob landed in front of you.
"He was in your hair the whole time. Did you not notice?" Venti raised your eyes.
"What the- Nevermind." You glared at the little cryo slime. "Next time. Stay put."
"Blub." Bob's eyes turned teary, little icicles dropping on the stone floor.
"What- Hey. Hey! Don't cry! Bob!" You cradled the little cryo slime in your arms.
Venti stared at the two of you in confusion. Were slimes supposed to act like this? But ever since you and Aether's little group had been sighted, things had been getting weirder and weirder. Not to mention his occasional forgetfulness and moments when his memories get blurrier and blurrier.
The bard raised his brows as he noticed two jarring figures in the distance. He sighed, finishing his bottle of wine, the glass bottle crumbling under his touch before turning into gusts of wind.
Unaware to him, you were staring at him the whole time so the glass bottle literally folding into itself like some origami made you make a mental note on not to piss Venti off.
Bitch is definitely not the weakest Archon. If he is, I'm doomed.
"So... 'The Holy Lyre der Himmel' is..." Paimon waved at you before turning back to Venti.
Venti crossed his arms, "One of the most treasured items in Mondstadt. It's the lyre that Barbatos used to play."
You coughed, hiding the uncontrollable smirk that was creeping up your face.
Aether looked at you weirdly, he was still salty on you leaving him in Good Hunter and making him pay for the bill. Gosh, Paimon's five mint jellies, three honey roasts and two chicken skewers would be his nightmare.
"With it, perhaps I can help Dvalin draw his gentle nature back out of this nightmare he's going through."
"Will it really stop Stormterror from causing more damage?" Paimon raised her brows, ohhh, she was soooo suspicious of this green bard. She was going to give him an ugly nickname.
Venti puffed his chest out, "Of course! I'm the best bard in the world. There's not a single song I do not know, no matter if it's from the past, present or future."
Gee, wonder why...
"Look me in the eyes, do you not find me trustworthy?"
We met for a few days mate. If Aether wasn't Aether he wouldn't have bothered with anything.
"...Just what is that in your eyes!?"
"Soooo how we gonna get it?"
"Why do you think we're here Paimon?" You ruffled her hair. Goddd it was sooo fluffy. Were you jealous? Yes.
"It's in the Cathedral?"
"Aether, please don't tell me you're turning into Paimon."
"HEY!"
Venti coughed, "I'll go take a look around, you can come if you want."
You rolled your eyes, "Hurry up. I'll be waiting outside." Pushing the doors open, you threw the three of them in. You weren't going to embarrass yourself or get second hand embarrassment. No. Just no.
It didn't take long for the trio to emerge again. Around five minutes? Maybe three minutes.
"Y/N! That bard want's us to steal the lyre. STEAL IT!" Paimon hissed in your ear.
You snickered softly, "Paimonn, it's fine. You're going to do a lot more abnormal stuff." The last part was whispered.
"So uhhh, we're going to wait for some time before sneaking back in." Aether pulled Paimon back.
The time function should work now right?
"Wait a second Aether." You rushed off, pulling your phone out, you tapped the glitchy Genshin App. Or the creepy Gen shit as you call it.
"Timmmee function. Ok, fast forward for two hours..."
Suddenly, you were yanked backwards by an unknown force. "Holy-"
Holy shit indeed. You, Y/N L/N, was looking at yourself, from a third person view.
You watched, mouth agape as the 'you' started to talk with Aether and the five of you started going around the city as Venti gave you guys a little tour. Since everything was happening double the speed, you had no idea what they were saying nor the details of the little tour.
"Yo Y/N. You there?" Paimon crossed her arms. "You're blanking out again."
Your eyes gradually focused, a surge of memories attacking your brain. It was all the events that had happened the past two hours. They were all very vague, as if you had actually been there.
A dark thought flitted across your mind, what if there's someone who could control time out there? People would be acting the same and no one would notice it. Except the unfortunate person would have to watch themselves do random stuff from a third perspective and then get attacked by memories depending on the time. It's almost like someone's possessing you but that someone is 'you'.
And if someone managed to control time on someone that wasn't themselves, could it be possible that they could watch their entire life or even worse possess someone else's life? Ohhh, and if they had the ability to wipe away memories...
"Y/NNNN!!!!" Paimon screeched. "Are you even listening to me?!" Paimon could feel her eyes twitching, she called you for a million times and you were just standing there like a statue.
"My bad. We're going to rob it now right?" You petted her head.
Paimon sniffed snidely, "Duuuhh. They're already inside, Paimon's only out here waiting for you because you're Paimon's friend."
"Awwww. That's actually so sweet." Paimon reminded you of a certain annoying pinkette that was actually pretty sweet if you ignore her arrogance.
"Let's head inside." She avoided your eyes, dragging you into the Cathedral.
"Don't be shy. Go." Venti beckoned the three (four if Bob on your head is considered) of you towards the basement.
"Why's there so many fucking stairs." You grumbled, you thanked mihoyo for not implementing the flights of stairs that it took to enter the basement, you counted up to a hundred and twenty before giving up. Basements were not meant to be this deep.
"We're here." Aether whispered.
"Let's separate. We have too many people. That's a big target." You whispered back, "Imma go that way. Bye bye."
Why's there so many guards? It seemed like half of the city's knights were all crowded in the basement. And yet there's barely anyone on the outside...
"Who're you!"
Oh well, they're there. You hurried to the chamber holding the Holy Lyre der Himmel.
A cicin mage stood there, she placed a finger to her lips.
"Sshhhhhh."
And with a bright flash of purple, she was gone.
"She...disappeared?!"
You heard footsteps. "Aether, on my mark."
"Freee! What are you doing here?"
"Go!"
Earning a few startled gasps, the three of you managed to escape the cathedral with ease. Probably not the best decision to only have knights in the basement.
"Venti! We're busted! Run!" Paimon screamed as the stampede of footsteps started to get louder and louder.
"What? Follow me!"
With a wave of his hands, wind currents appeared. A wing glider appeared and he zoomed off.
"Y/N. You don't have a wind glider..." Aether yelled.
"I can fly if I want to. It's fine, I know where he's going!" Wind currents, unfortunately didn't work on anything that wasn't a wind glider but it didn't matter. You didn't go to the bar just for drinks yesterday. You found several routes and knew where people were scarce.
"Why walk when you can fly?" you muttered as the knights finally got out of the cathedral.
You snickered as one of them noticed you. "B-byeeee!" You jumped down from the railings, directing a gust of wind to catch you right before you were going to fall to your death. Your health stats were still pretty low due to zero artifacts equipped.
"You- You're here before us?" Aether panted. You and Venti were already in front of the tavern. "When you were away, I walked around."
Venti glanced at you suspiciously, he definitely didn't say that he was going to go to Angel's Share but he didn't bother asking.
"Master Diluc, this is the account's for this week."
"Hmmm, the disaster has greatly affected business." a monotone voice made your eyes light up.
"Bitch is stunnninggg." Truth be told, Genshin's designers fucked up realll bad when the Diluc in game and this Diluc looked sooo different.
There was this urge to just poke his gorgeous face and mess up his floofy hair.
"Hi, we'd like a seat at your, uh...least conspicuous table."
"Umm...The second floor has fewer customers. You'd be less conspicuous up there...But aren't you a bard? Why not sit front and center?" Diluc frowned slightly.
"Hahaha, let's save the paid performance for next time. We'll be heading up now, see you in a bit!"
"Hey, keep an eye on them. There's something strange about that bard. I'll go ask around." Diluc's eyes never left from your little group.
"Ask who, exactly?" Charles asked.
"The 'protectors' of Mondstadt."
Diluc noticed the girl from the group stopping at a crowded table when one of the guys waved at her.
"Oh! Master Diluc, that girl came yesterday. Not that the information is valuable." Charles mentioned.
"Ah, Master Diluc. Have you seen three thieves around?"
You and Aether gazed down from the second floor when Otto and Miles approached the man.
"What happened? Why have you mobilized so many guards?"
"Haven't you heard, Master Diluc? Two thieves were trying to steal the Holy Lyre!"
Diluc frowned slightly, he could feel the gazes from other customers in the tavern. "Oh? How odd."
"Isn't it? The holy lyre is a treasure that was played by the God of Anemo themselves. Such a precious piece of cultural heritage-" Miles was cut off by Diluc.
"Why would one want to steal something they can't sell off? Would pay better to steal from my cellars..."
"..."
"Huh?"
Diluc waved his hand, "Sorry, off topic. Believe they headed that way."
"Understood. Thank you, Master Diluc!"
After the knights left, the four of you headed down. "Today I think I'll have a glass of..."
"You can put down that bottle you stole from behind the counter."
"...something cold."
Diluc raised his brows.
"Right. I want answers."
Blahblahblahblab. You were considering to go to a certain group of people who were eavesdropping on the conversation.
You were cued the moment you lifted your foot. "Hot shot? So you two and the bard are close friends?"
"We're not close, actually."
Diluc nodded slightly, "Well...Despite only being passing travelers, you still offered your help to Mondstadt in its time of need." his eyes narrowed slightly, "A shame you joined the Knights."
"Nah, we did not." You shook your head firmly.
"You did not." Aether corrected you.
"Yeah. You, are helping out of the goodness of your heart. I'm helping for mora and rewards. Me and the Knights have a fat grudge." You scowled.
"Wait...So they actually threw you into prison?"
Diluc coughed, "So you were that person who they thought was a fatui spy."
"The Knights of Favonius...Inefficient right from beginning to end. And towards the Fatui? Weak and conservative. Forget it. I don't feel like talking about it."
"Imma agree with him on this one. It's pretty much just the vision holders doing their work. There are some good non vision holder knights that are good but most of them are just doing their own thing. Like those three bitches that landed me in fucking prison because of my clothes." You snarled.
"Seems the two of you don't really like the Knights of Favonius." Venti commented.
"Try going to prison man."
"Just differences in approach is all. I have my own hopes for this city." You raised your thumb.
The security of Mondstadt was basically from: One, Jean and the vision holder knights. Two, Diluc the Darknight Hero. Three, other vision holders like Diona and Sucrose. Four, adventurers and good Knights. Five, Knights that barely do shit. Six, civilians and shitty Knights.
"Now, answers. Why did you steal the Holy Lyre?"
Ok this shit gonna take a long while.
"Aether, Imma go talk to some people. Bye."
With that, you plopped your ass next to Leila.
"Wowwww, when I meant get yourself a job. I did not mean steal the Holy Lyre." The blonde looked at Diluc before focusing on you.
"Someone else stole it though. The fatui to be exact." You accepted the glass of dandelion wine. Quite refreshing after all those stairs and running.
"Fatui? Lemme guess, a cicin mage." Jace downed a shot of vodka.
"How'd you guess?"
"Being a treasure hoarder means that we have to fight off any beings that wish to steal treasure that we've stolen. Some fatui fight us when they're low on mora and let me tell you. Loads of treasure hoarders die when they're up against them. The cicin mages and the burly ones are especially annoying. The cicin mages just teleport and teleport. I almost died to one a few years ago. I would prefer fighting other treasure hoarders."
"Other treasure hoarders?"
"Oh yeaahhh. You might not know but there's gangs. Probably not the official name but some gangs are allies, some gangs are rivals. Me and Jace are with different groups but we're allies and we're also pretty high up in terms of ranking. Normal treasure hoarders have no breaks. They're basically like servants and meat shields. Gotta work your way up or you'll die by blocking a blow." Leila clasped her hands together.
"Y/N, you should go. Your lil friend group's leaving. Remember to find us to get a better job." Raye shooed you away.
"It's not my job-"
"Yeah yeah. Shoo."

Your work is awesome!!
I'll read everything else rq, but first-
Hello, how was your day? How are you feeling?
If it's okay, may I share a bit of my game and ask how will characters react on it?
So uhh
I always say out loud how adorable Nahida is and how she is my "adopted child"
Also during the archon quest I was litteraly chanting "someone help, love and protect her please"
Also when I didn't get Nahida on her banner, I was like "Sages, if it was You, I'm about to destroy you"
I also always greet my team and say "bye" if I'm leaving.
I switch to every character and tell them it. Even how THEY did while I was gone
Maybe I'm going insane Idk?
If you don't want to do it, it's okay!^^
Bye-bye! And again- your work(s) are awesome! Gotta read some more
I may sound insane but I as well say “Hello / hi” to Genshin characters one time because I wanted them to feel welcomed??? I’m kind of new to this shit so I stole my friend’s phone to say hi to them 💀💀 this is such a cute request overall, Nahida is such a baby 💔💔
Also I’m doing just well hon, thank you for asking me. <3 I hope you’re feeling well yourself.
Teyvat is protective of their creator no matter what gender they’re specified with;; however, it seems that you favor Nahida more than others— Most likely as if you made her to actually be your related child. Nahida was hesitant and shy at first, but over the time when she thought about it, she couldn’t help but feel so free and blessed with such a humble God mother/father figure like you.
You’re protective, even if it’s the traveller and Paimon… You still warned them to make sure that Nahida stays secured and safe. Everyone in different nations although takes this request far too seriously- that at this point, Nahida feels rather isolated. Though she knew you never meant any harm, how could she ever assume you would? She’s a wise sweet little girl, humble as you even, she honestly could see the connection of being your child. Literally.
But, that of course makes other children jealous… NPC children would most likely have different voice lines when it comes to Nahida too— which is basically in Sumeru city, and, I guess the Archons has to be checked 24/7 all of the sudden? Confused as you are, you weren’t displeased with it, you felt… Happy actually. Happy that people are acknowledging Nahida. (Although they’re fighting over who gets to be Nahida’s other parent)
Alhaitham especially would have some rooms prepared for Nahida, like, y’know, if she’s tired in a middle of nowhere— there’ll always be a house nearby her area, her spot. The followers of you would be cooking food nonstop for the little child, hoping that she’s willing to test their taste. After all, only she knows what you love in a guy/girl ~!
Oh oh, and since you did say you want someone to also protect Nahida during a quest— Nahida will be bawling her eyes out and ugly cry. (Pretty cry actually) People will be freaking out of why the fuck is shE EVEN CRYING— The NPCs will all baby her and, treasure hoarders? They won’t even get the chance to lay a finger on her because of the Archons killing them off. (Not like you know 😻)
Nahida would be an absolute troll however. Yes, she is sweet and always devoted to drop the entire lore to help people out— (For example she dropped the entire shit lore to Aether / Lumine) But she is heavily LOYAL to her mother/father figure.
Imagine Dottore especially trying to talk it out with her since they did sort of have a conversation beforehand. So he thought it’s only fair he becomes her dad, by marrying you right? HAHAHA, wrong. Nahida is truly worried and overprotective of you, despite being just a kid version of her Archon self. She will lie, telling things to the Fatui doctor what you did not like.
And this has gone on for so long, it’s absolutely hilarious. Especially for Sumeru as they see this as an attempt to bring their divine being closer to them.
But the thing is, you’re not that expressive— you’re just existing and trying to live on while babying Nahida who just sobs into your affection. Girlie never got so much, so it was truly a blessing to have herself in your care.
And talking about Sages, just imagine Enjou overall having troubles with trying to get to you. All because of Sages 💀 look, if mans wanna get your forgiveness, better as well protect Nahida from the half monster hybrid looking ass hot man. Enjou is in so much misery… (Cue CPR)
Also, can we just appreciate how caring you are? No, it’s not only for Nahida you’re just caring for— it’s not even the reason she’s so loyal to you. (Well, it is but still) The true reason is, is because you keep saying “Hello” and “Bye” to them everyday, no matter how tiring it might get.
I think Diluc would especially love this since uhm, well, his dad ain’t here y’know y’know. (Or any traumatized character really)
…
Imagine Archon Timmie flying up to the heavens above just to replace Nahida and be your son— (Archon Timmie /srs) But then fails because Nahida is too logical and wise that his brain couldn’t take it anymore either.
Okay I’m stopping there 💀💀💀
Also have a sneak peak of my fanfic because I know some people will assume I’m not working on it 💔
It looks shitty but whatever

< masterlist >
to most, being called into kujou sara’s office by the woman herself is a death sentence.
to heizou? it’s just another tuesday.
her face is harsh as she tells him to take this case seriously, that the shogun herself has asked him to look into it. the plain folder is unassuming, if a little more full than the usual cold cases he’s handed, but the intensity in sara’s eyes is enough to kill any sarcastic remarks.
he takes the folder with a nod and retreats to his office, brushing off some of the dust from his desk. he rarely uses it, typically just taking his work home and solving it over dinner, but this…
his intuition tells him that something major is hidden between the bland beige of the folder, that some large secret awaits him behind the chains of liars.
he flicks on the light—and sends a puff of anemo to clean off the bulb—and sits down, shivering slightly as he sets down the new case. he pulls out his notepad, and a pen—two things he hadn’t used in ages, preferring to keep information solely in his mind. still, he keeps one hand there, opening the case with the other.
green eyes flash with horror.
its rare for heizou to be tired.
he’s usually good at pacing himself, even on the tough cases that make him want to stay up all night chasing something that’s just out of reach. even then, it’s rare something is both that complex and that appealing; what is a cold case to a genius detective, other than just another tuesday?
still, his hands are cramped—this is why he doesn’t take notes, he thinks—and he has a headache, probably because the light keeps flickering from disuse. his desk is covered with papers instead of dust, the remarkable amount of evidence the tenryou has gathered spread out. he’s long since abandoned the chair, instead preferring to pace around the desk, swapping out the papers in his hands as he tries to chase any lead he can.
anything to lead him to you.
it’s impressive, almost, how the kujou commission could list the exact time they spotted you on the docks, and yet never catch you. every paper is a lead, a small, hairline thread that could lead somewhere, but never do. a few link together—the fact that villagers in konda reported somebody of similar height and build running through the area, and wakamurisaka saying the same—but it was a whole lot of nothing.
it’s suspected you utilize magic. no further evidence.
it’s told you’re an alchemist. nobody says why.
he’s told you’ve somehow replicated a divine aura, something that should be impossible. nobody gives any reasoning for it.
it’s as funny as it is irate.
the light above him flickers twice, rapidly, then dies with a slow hiss. he sighs, throwing his papers onto his desk, and turns off the light switch. pulling open the curtains to his office does little, but it’ll have to do.
heizou turns back to his desk, reaching for his discarded papers, but pauses. in his anger, he’d knocked one page off another, ones he didn’t even know were stacked. he carefully pulls the new page out of the mess, moving near the window to see better.
and just like that, the listless threads coalesce into a rope.
heizou pulls.
watatsumi island is lovely year-round.
it was easy enough to get there, sara easily allowing him to travel after he mentioned it was for the case.
(it wasn’t easy, she had glared at him and threatened to throw him in front of the shogun herself if he was lying, but that was a pretty tame threat coming from her targeting him.)
showing up in front of the shrine out of nowhere would likely raise some alarms, so he opted for the waypoint by the village instead, gliding down towards the path. he walked quickly, opting not to stop and talk to (interrogate) the farmer he passed, keeping a quick pace.
the two guards usually at the entrance were missing, likely because of the higher profile target they were assigned to, but it was still eerie to walk in without any fuss.
the village was fairly empty, likely because it was approaching dusk, and he was able to move through most of it with little more than a few odd looks. it was strange; he’d walked through the village as a formality, but now he was wondering if he should have saved himself the time and gone straight for the shrine.
it’s only just before the bridge leading over that he’s stopped by a guard, and even then it’s only one. strange, as he could have sworn they patrolled in pairs.
the guard—heizou scraped his memory for his name, but came up short—planted himself in his way, tapping his spear against the path. “halt. what is your purpose here?”
“i’m looking for somebody,” he said simply. the guard didn’t seem to react, only staring and waiting for more information.
heizou sighed, pulling the official scroll from his side. he flashed the seal on it, “orders from the shogun herself. i need to speak with the priestess.”
the guard didn’t budge, though his hand tightened on his spear. nerves, maybe? but what did he have to be afraid for…
“then i suggest you wait here. i’ll pass on your message to-“
“hiroyuki? what’s going on here?”
he turned, startled, at the call of his name, and heizou looked over the approaching general. he didn’t seem to be prepared for battle, lacking his usual armor, but he could never be too sure. nonetheless, he returned the nod pointed his way.
“general gorou! what brings you out here so late? shouldn’t you…?”
gorou nodded. so they were hiding something. “i heard somebody from the tenryou commission was here and figured i should stop by. detective, what are you doing here?”
heizou crossed his arms, noting the lack of response. and they expected violence? “i’ve been assigned a case straight from the shogun herself, regarding the current… situation.” gorou’s ear flicked. “to be blunt, i’ve found that the likelihood of the fake taking refuge here to be rather high. i’m not accusing anybody of anything for now, it’s just a statistic, but i would like to ask a few questions.”
another nod. “i see. while i can assure you that nobody at watatsumi island is going against the creator’s orders-“ that’s a rather specific wording “-i understand your duty. hiroyuki, let kokomi know we’re coming.”
the guard gaped. “i- general, are you-?”
“go.”
a silent message passed between them, ending with hiroyuki’s nod and hurried retreat, the bridge swaying lightly as he rushed across it.
heizou watched, ensuring he was going to the shrine. “tensions high?”
“nobody likes seeing an officer around here. with me.”
his words were unnaturally curt, cut short like he didn’t want to talk. he got it, he was a detective for the shogunate that had stirred up some trouble before, but all was well that ended well, right?
(would it?)
he followed gorou across the bridge, noting the almost leisurely pace he took. clearly, they had something to hide, but was it what he was looking for? he didn’t seem surprised when he brought up the hunt…
and then there was the topic of his responses… ‘nobody at watatsumi island is going against the creator’s orders’ answered a total of zero of his questions, and deflected all of them. it didn’t specify anything about the shogun’s orders, nor did it address his accusations of harboring a fugitive. he’d be impressed if it didn’t sound rehearsed.
…’rehearsed’-
the guard by the waypoint nodded at gorou as they approached, shockingly not asking for identification. yes, he likely knew who heizou was, but at least for formality’s sake…
the air grew thicker as they walked over the bridge to the shrine, something heavy weighing on his shoulders. he thought it might be the humidity from the fountains, but all of watatsumi tended to be more humid anyway, and surely he wouldn’t notice now?
gorou knocked a pattern onto the door and heizou coughed as subtly as he could into his hand. the air was thick, taught with a tension he’s never felt and only barely remembers. it was something akin to an office of an authority yet without any of the bite, like he was facing something he feared but was overall harmless, his heart picking up as the air continued to thin-
the door swung inward, the smile on kokomo’s face not quite reaching her eyes. “welcome to the shrine. come in.”
the air inside was warm, nearly hot where he passed by kokomi. something about the room was wrong- right? he couldn’t tell, he could barely think over his heart in his ears, overwhelming familiarity dampening his senses even though he’s never truly been inside the shrine-
a hand landed on his shoulder and he jumped, turning to meet the priestess’ worried eyes. “detective?”
something was off about her. her hand, despite the cool silk, was warm on his skin. something about the concern on her face was familiar, reminiscent of someone he didn’t know but did remember. he flipped through his memory once, twice, three times, but couldn’t pin down why. the closest he got was when he was wished, when the light of his god burned bright in his soul and pulled him into it, leaving him stranded in a sea of stars and- oh-
’alchemy’ made sense now. it certainly felt like magic.
“i think…” his mouth was dry and the warmth in the air was localizing, pointing him past kokomi and towards a door. “i think i’m mistaken, priestess.”
kokomi’s hand fell from his shoulder, the trace remnants of divinity slipping away with it. how interesting, he thought numbly, that simply being near a god could imprint their aura into your skin.
“are you certain? you seemed quite convinced earlier.”
“no, i… i’m certain.” heizou’s hands flexed at his sides, his eyes flicking to the door without his meaning to. his mind raced, but nothing seemed to stick for very long, everything flaking away before he could grasp onto anything solid. “there’s no criminals here, least of all anything… fraudulent.”
kokomi’s eyes flashed. she shifted slightly on her feet, adjusting so more of the door was behind her, and clasped her hands in front of her. “i’m glad to hear it, detective. i send the tenryou my regards, and wish you best of luck finding what you’re looking for.”
he nodded again, sharp wit long since dulled.
“the best of luck to you as well, priestess.”

Denial is Futile: Wanderer x f!reader - Chapter 3
Read on AO3 | Series Masterlist
« Chapter 1 | < Chapter 2
Summary: The cute and sweet guy from the bazaar was brought to your place while unconscious. But when he woke up, you were appalled by the amount of snark he had. Was he even the same person? And now you were stuck with him because he could literally die if he stopped holding your hand. You weren't sure if you could tolerate him any longer. Little did you know he was exactly the type of person you needed in your life.
Other info: Fluff, humor, sfw, enemies to lovers, some hurt/comfort and angst later, character growth, occurs after the version 3.3 Archon quest and Tighnari's story quest, female reader
Word count: 2.0k
*****
"You need to let go," you told Wanderer.
You dropped your bag about a foot or two away from the campfire. A table was set up near it, presumably for food preparation considering the pots and utensils on it. It seemed like a location where anyone who lived in Gandharva Ville could use as a kitchen as long as they cleaned up after themselves.
"Did you expect me to light the fire with one hand?" you said while tapping your foot.
"You know I can't let go," he told you, rolling his eyes. "Get someone else to do it."
You grabbed his hand and shoved it onto your shoulder. "Why don't you try to use your brain?" you told him. "Or do you not have one of those?"
As you attempted to light the campfire, Wanderer decided to squeeze your shoulder until you yelped and howled like a dog in pain. You shot him a look. Did you not realize he was just as petty as you were?
With a huff, you returned to the fire and struck the flint. Every single time you hit it, there was no hint of a fire forming. There wasn't even a spark.
"Wow," he said. "And I thought I'd seen it all. Is this a hidden talent of yours? You must have some special powers bestowed upon by the gods."
You struck the rock again.
"You might as well wish for a pyro vision at this rate," he told you. "You'd probably have more luck with that."
The flint went silent; you had stopped scraping it. You clenched your jaw and ground your teeth in the process. A gritty voice left your lips.
"I don't need one."
Wanderer couldn't pinpoint where this bitterness had come from. Your tone and expression reminded him all too much of the days when he was angry at the world, at both human and archon. Perhaps, and this was only a speculation, there was something about visions that you had resented.
You struck the metal against the flint once more and yet there was still no fire. You'd think that with the amount of force you put in, you'd light up the whole forest. You had attempted at least ten times at this point.
Eleven.
Twelve.
Thirteen–
"Give me that!" Wanderer struck the flint and the wood caught fire. "Done." He threw a smirk at you.
You rolled your eyes.
"Just how useless are you?" he asked.
"You're not exactly helping."
"I literally just lit the fire for you."
"Ugh!" You groaned with an exaggeration that could rival an actress performing at the Zubayr Theatre.
You stuck your hand in your bag and whipped out whatever was inside. Wanderer took a step back and braced himself for whatever you were going to do to him.
"What? Do you think it was a weapon?" you asked.
He opened an eyelid.
It was a rice scoop.
"Ugh, what's with you?" he told you. "There's seriously something wrong in that brain of yours. If you think for one minute that I have the patience to deal with someone like you, I–"
You cracked an egg.
On his head.
"Huh…" you said with a hand on your hip. "So that head is useful for something."
The bird egg's cool liquid ran past his brow and down his cheek.
"You..." he said through gritted teeth. His hand searched the table for something he could use to get back at you. A sneer formed across his face.
Another bird egg.
"Hm? What are you up to, Wanderer?"
His arm froze in the middle of his swing.
Two green eyes stared straight up at him.
"You're still here?" he asked, lowering his arm. Ugh. How inconvenient.
Nahida eyed his forehead and a drop of egg white fell off a stand of his hair. "Need any help?" she asked with a smile.
He clicked his tongue and used his anemo powers to blow the egg away. "No."
"Hey!" you snapped at him, waving a notebook which was now covered with egg. "You did that on purpose!"
"Tch. Who told you to leave your work in a cooking area?"
"Wanderer, Y/n," said Nahida. "I know the two of you don't exactly see eye-to-eye, but it wouldn't hurt to put more effort into getting along."
Ha. Niwa had always said the same thing to the people under his care. Be a good example to Kabukimono, he had told them. Unfortunately for him, his rebukes were in vain.
If he saw how he was now…
He shook his head. The way he viewed those memories from Tatarasuna had changed drastically ever since that moment in Irminsul. Memories he tossed aside like a ragged doll neglected on a desert trail. They occasionally returned as drops of water that soothed his sores, and if he didn't experience them himself, they'd be as real as a mirage.
"Lesser Lord Kusenali," you said, "do you even know what this guy is like? He's simply unbearable."
He sighed and crouched down, scooping rice from the bag and pouring them in a pot. "How much do you want?" he asked.
"You're actually co-operating?" you said.
"Did you want me to stop?"
"Did you expect me to say yes?"
He rolled his eyes. "With how petty you are, it wouldn't surprise me if you did."
The two of you continued to bicker but somehow finished cooking your breakfast in the process. Beating the eggs took the eternity that his mother tried to achieve. The rice miraculously didn't boil over, and there was so much heat between the two of you that you could have created your own desert in the process.
But the two of you made omelette rice.
Disgustingly sweet omelette rice.
You sat down across the table from him. If anyone saw the two of you, they'd think you were on a date with your hand holding his. Your other hand was holding a bottle of ketchup and you covered the plate of omelette rice with an amount of it that made him physically cringe.
He was right.
It was disgusting.
"Kabukimono," Katsuragi had reminded him. "The grandma who cooked it will be sad if you don't finish it all."
He took another bite.
"Hey! Stop taking my food!" you told him. "I thought you didn't need to eat!"
He rolled his eyes. "I don't."
He took another bite.
Still horrible.
You grabbed the plate from him before he could have another complaining he had eaten more than half of it. Seemed like you had the ability to flat out lie to yourself. He barely even touched it. It was nothing like that grandma's recipe.
He scraped the wooden table with his chopsticks, not at all paying attention to the ebbs and flows of your voice. His shoulders grew heavy as he stared at the bare table in front of him.
It was difficult to bear the guilt from his past, but this was still much better than being oblivious to the actions in his previous life.
Denying that it happened would never ease his conscience.
*****
You were in denial.
You reread the papers Tighnari had given you and dug your fingers through your hair. Why was this research assignment so hard? Your previous ones were simple to solve, but this one boggled your mind.
This couldn't be happening.
"You're actually trying to work in this situation?" Wanderer held up your hand as if you'd forgotten.
"Did you have something better in mind?" you asked. "I still have a job to do and if I'm not mistaken, the Archon even told you to help me."
He slumped into his chair and continued to tap a finger on the desk. Was he really just going to sit there and do nothing?
Never mind him. You dragged him to your bookshelf and picked up a textbook you had used last semester. You were sure the correct formula was here. An example similar to Tighnari's data set was in this chapter if you remembered correctly.
You returned to your desk and as you continued your work, Wanderer simply trapped his foot.
And fidgeted in his chair.
And started scraping Collei's desk.
"Can't you do something else?" you snapped at him.
"It's not like I have a choice," he said.
"Don't you have any hobbies?"
"Do I look like the type of person who'd have meaningless pursuits?"
"The Wanderer from back then definitely seemed pleasant enough to stop and look at the flowers."
"Ha. Sounds like you're still stuck in the past," he replied.
You ground your teeth and glared at him before picking up your pencil and attempting to solve this frustrating problem. Whatever. It didn't matter if he was there as long as he wasn't bothering you.
You tried to use the formula you found, but the answer didn't make any sense. After a few more times, you groaned, not being able to make any progress.
You flipped through your textbook again and when you finally you found the right answer, Wanderer snatched the book from in front of you.
"What the heck are you doing?" you asked, raising an eyebrow.
He opened the textbook to a random page and slammed it on your desk. "Just how stupid are you?" he said.
"Well, if you didn't take the textbook from me, I would've been halfway through solving it by now."
"Halfway through wasting more of your time. Unless getting things wrong is your hobby."
"You…"
He sat back down on his chair and rolled his eyes. "If you actually looked, you'd see that the answer was right in front of you."
You glanced at your textbook and an example problem filled the page from top to bottom. You grumbled and reluctantly erased the work you had done.
"Don't tell me a guy like him is actually a scholar…" you mumbled to yourself.
"Hmph. If studying these things gets me closer to my revenge, then so be it," he said.
"Good luck with that," you told him sarcastically. You knew better than anyone that revenge over-promises and never satisfies. You bet that was the reason the gods gave him his vision in the first place. Their inability to make wise decisions made you lose faith in them all the more.
"Well, if you'd been lied to your whole life and got people killed, wouldn't you want revenge as well?"
A fiery blaze entered your mind and a man with white hair stood in front of you.
The paper in your hand crumbled under your grip. "No," you replied. Your breath was caught in your throat. "I wouldn't."
You attempted to slow your heart rate by taking another breath. Everything was fine, you told yourself. Your brother was safe at home. The vision was locked away. There was nothing to worry about. The war was long over so just concentrate on your studies. Everything was fine.
As you took another breath, you felt a gentle squeeze around your hand. Wanderer's head was turned away from you, facing your random assortment of textbooks on the upper shelf. Your heart beat slowed to its normal pace.
"What's with you today?" you asked in a voice softer than usual.
Wanderer got up and tugged you to the entrance of the house. With the amount of strength in his arms, you had no power to fight back.
"What do you think you're doing?" you asked.
"I don't know. Getting some sunsettias? You liked wasting time, right?"
"What are you even–"
"Don't you know that eating sunsettias keep you from being stupid," he said. "And if I'm stuck with you, I don't want it to rub onto me."
You blinked a few times.
"Why are you laughing?" he snapped.
Maybe it was the baffled look on his face. Maybe it was his poor attempt at pretending to be critical. Either way, it gave you a brief feeling of relief that you hadn't had for a while.
"What an annoying woman," he muttered under his breath.
This was the first time you thought Wanderer was pleasant to be around, not counting the time at the Grand Bazaar.
Unfortunately, that feeling didn't last very long.
I hope you enjoyed it!

Something that will never cease to rot my brain is just how brilliantly mhy have developed Xiao's character over the past three years. I'm lucky enough to have started playing Genshin before he was added to the game (which does of course mean newer players have probably had a different experience of him, I'll get into that later) so I've been there for every single moment that Xiao appeared and it's always so amazing to me just how much effort has been put into him. (Long rant and Mild Spoilers for the Poetry Gala Event below lol)
Xiao in the Archon quest and in 1.3 (both in his character quest and 1.3 Lantern Rite) compared to Xiao in the most recent event is truly like night and day, and what's most impressive about that is that how he acts in the poetry event feels completely true to his character. Xiao has earned this gentleness over the past three years, as the traveler but also the other people he's met have urged him to open up and interact with others more often.
This really couldn't have been achieved without mhy taking advantage of every scrap of screen time Xiao has gotten. They absolutely have favorites and Xiao is for sure one of them. I'll use Moonchase as a comparison to the Poetry Gala. Back then we saw Xiao on screen for maybe 5 minutes at most, appearing because the traveler called him, tasting Xiangling's dish and giving her a compliment (at least for his standards for giving compliments) and then disappearing. But now we see him at the poetry event being invited to join by Venti and Hu Tao (and him not outright refusing!!), and then staying to socialize with Chongyun's group when everyone (not just the traveler) asks him to.
3.4 Lantern Rite and the Poetry Gala have felt like the biggest steps due to the fact that we see Xiao actively participating in activities of his own volition. Most of his appearances before 3.4 (and even after, counting Baizhu's quest) are dictated by about 2.5 factors. The first is his duty: protecting Liyue from evil, more specifically keeping its people safe from these evils. The second is being called by the traveler, an act which I would consider a symbol of their friendship later on, but in the beginning and probably still in a lingering capacity now I think can be attributed to a sense of debt towards them. They helped save Liyue in a time of crisis, after having no obligation to do so, and someone like Xiao who takes his duties in protecting Liyue so seriously would absolutely feel like he owes a complete outsider like the traveler a debt after they kinda did his job for him. So much of Xiao's character is about debts, after all. That even ties into the 2.5th reason, where he would probably feel some obligation to appear at Lantern Rite because Zhongli would be there, though it's unclear if Hu Tao mentioned he would be so it might not even count in that case.
Now we see Xiao participating in events on the invitation of Hu Tao and Venti who are seeking him out because they see him as a friend. We see him taking not only the traveler's feelings into account when asked to participate, but also Chongyun and Diona's. It's such a far cry from his "I don't associate with mortals" attitude that we saw back in 2021.
That barely even touches the shift we've seen in his demeanor either. Back in 2021, Xiao always spoke very curtly and in as few words as possible, always seeming displeased any time he had to hold a conversation, but now he's loosened up so much that the difference is honestly staggering. It even shows through in his birthday letters from 2021 vs. 2023 (And even here we see him going out of his way to socialize of his own volition, so proud of him!):
I've gone back and forth between EN and CN voiceovers in the past year, so some of Xiao's appearances I've only experienced in CN, but hearing him in the Poetry Gala event in EN I can only give his voice actress a thousand kudos for how amazing her performance is. Xiao's voice has softened with time, and it's such a small detail, but I honestly think that it's what hammers his growth home more than anything else for me. He's not only willing to have full conversations with people he's less familiar with now, but he also doesn't feel the need to speak as harshly to them either, and that's really amazing to hear play out in the game.
Xiao's voicelines are so fascinating to me for that very reason, because they act as a time capsule for how he was back in 2021, and that's just not what he sounds like anymore. Obviously, voice actors' performances of their characters will shift with time but Xiao is the only character for which I can say that his demeanor really has just changed with time. Of course, I think that in some cases this does actually make sense, namely if a newer player pulls Xiao and has only gotten to experience the Archon Quest and maybe his Character Quest. In that case, all of the time that has passed simply doesn't exist. But at the same time I can only imagine how funny it would be for a long-time player who simply never pulled Xiao for one reason or another to pull him and listen to his lines and hear his older, edgier self lol
Though on that note I do also need to point out the biggest downside of all of this, and what is perhaps my greatest sadness about Xiao's character development, which is that new Genshin players simply won't have the chance to experience it. There are many characters who get the short end of the stick with the nature of Genshin's serialized storytelling and limited-time events (Albedo, Kazuha, and a plethora of 4 stars who don't get featured much, just to name a few), but I think Xiao's actually saddens me the most, because I believe the time that has passed is the greatest strength when it comes to this development. People will get to see his arc from the Archon Quest to Perilous Trail (and thank god they preserved Perilous Trail as an Interlude), but even that is still a shadow of Xiao's actual progression over the years.
These days, newer Genshin players may have only seen Xiao in the Liyue Archon Quest before playing the Poetry Gala event (unless Perilous Trail is a prereq, which I don't know off the top of my head), and I can't even imagine how jarring it would be to see how he acts there and then immediately see him in this event. The way that time works in this case would probably just make it seem like mhy doesn't know what they're doing with Xiao when in reality three years of development have been compressed into a matter of weeks. Knowing that, I'm grateful to have been able to experience his story in its truest form, but it also cannot go unacknowledged that some aspects of Genshin's story have a shorter shelf life than others. It's a major problem with the game, from some perspectives, but at the same time it's just a consequence of how it's being developed.
Anyway, I just needed to gush after seeing Xiao absolutely steal the show in part 2 of the quest with his quiet participation and little smile (crying). He's so good and I love him so much, and it's so nice to see what they've done with him after he finally got some semblance of closure after Perilous Trail <3
#genshin impact#xiao#navi gets meta#Don't mind me just out here having rabid blorbo thoughts#I am holding him in my cupped hands so so much#I can't wait for part 3 of this event I want to see him again#I am the target audience for this whole event and man do I feel targeted#Four of my all time favorite characters are here and they expect me to not be ill about it? Impossible.

╭────────── ∘⋞ 〈༒〉 ⋟∘──────────╮
Cyno x reader
Fluff, slight angst? Reference to Sumeru archon Quest.
A/N: Ahhh Cyno my beloved main, my first five star, I adore this stupid little nerd <33 I'm cooking up more stories so I'll link a master list at some point. Not sure if I'll do a pt 2
Like and follow for more. I'll gladly answer asks in my inbox, I need more Genshin friends ( •́ ‿ ,•̀ )
╰──────────∘⋞ 〈༒〉 ⋟∘──────────╯
By all accounts Cyno was an intense man.
He worked diligently at his job, day in and day out. He upheld justice and punished scholars who committed any of the six sins. It was widely known that he would go through extreme lengths to inflict fair judgement on the offending perpetrators. Even to those who'd done nothing wrong, felt immense pressure in his presence.
Genius Invocation was no mere hobby to Cyno. He consumed each new magazine or article about Genius Invocation in his spare time. Whether it was tid bits about the cards, creators or what was considered meta Cyno read it. He'd enter tournaments for the game, tournaments with the prize being a TCG card he knew about it.
He had taken you seriously from the very start. You had come to the table a few minutes late, not that Cyno minded he got there immensely early since he had some other matches to play. It gave him time to set up. He had chosen his personally curated hyperbloom team with a very fancy card back.
You sat down a little nervous as the General Mahtra gave you an indifferent look. You quickly set up your thome, taking out your cards and dice.
Cyno had won his other two matches with ease his winning streak remaining unbroken. He knew he would win from the moment you pulled out your deck.
It was a troll deck. A Dendro, an anemo and a Cryo player card with the rest of the deck being the default deck. You had forgotten to switch to your proper deck and it would take too long to go back home and fetch your proper deck. You sighed feeling guilty, as though the General Mahtra in front of you would codemn you for some reason.
His gaze was intense as he waited for you to set up both of you remained in silence.
You did well during the match much to Cyno's surprise. Two of your character cards were fallen while Cyno's cards still had hp. Only your Sucrose remained.
You played a food card at 0 cost gaining an extra health point. You doubted it would do much but it was worth a shot. Cyno was confident in his cards and simply waited for your turn to end. Even though this match was meant to be friendly, Cyno's intensity caused you to reciprocate his seriousness.
You sacrificed some cards to convert your dice and then made a normal attack using your Sucrose card. That normal attack swirled the Cryo and knocked the last two hp points off two of Cyno's cards.
You were bound to loose from the beginning, and you did, but Cyno enjoyed the competition as he had in his previous matches. You sigh, the adrenaline in your body starting to come down from it's high now that the match was over. His stare was something you wanted to avoid.
"Is that your usual deck?" He finally asks as the two of your shake hands and pack up your things.
He was immensely curious about your skill at the game because you had gotten so far with such a poor deck.
"Ah, no it's a deck I use to help get my friends used to the game. I just forgot to switch it back, sorry." You reply feeling awkward, the sweat on your hands still accumulating even after you wiped it away.
"This was a very good game though, your deck was really strong." You compliment trying not to get on his bad side.
Cyno wordlessly nodded as a thank you. He knew his deck was strong, he had worked for months getting the right cards and balancing it. Cyno wanted to play against you again, next time with a proper deck in hand so he can have a better game.
Cyno couldn't shut up about you every time Genius Invocation came up. Poor Tighnari had to hear over and over how good a player you were, how each choice you made was strategic and an accumulation of jokes related.
He invited you again to play the next time he was free, which was a few weeks later. The air was still immensely awkward when you arrived at Lambads tavern. You apologised for being late again but this time your excuse was that you made sure to bring the right deck this time.
He didn't mind. One match kept escalating and then Cyno made sure to invite you to play Genius Invocation each week. Even though you were still nervous the conversation flowed easier. You eventually learned that Cyno was significantly less scary than people made him out to be. He was still scarily intense.
Eventually you met his friends, they were nice but you felt out of place. They were fun even though you struggled to add to conversation.
Cyno was intense when he eventually asked you out. It was a romantic dinner by candle light, orchestrated by Collei after Tighnari told the stubborn General Mahtra he was in love.
He was nervous, intensely so, but the manner in which you caught his attention left him at peace. It felt calm, like a morning sunrise in the desert where nothing made a sound.
Soon that intensity showed through in his love for you. The years you two had dated was easy, unbelievably easy because he adored you more than anything. Even in the nights where he'd gotten home late from a mission you were there, snuggled up in bed waiting for him to return safely.
Your relationship had gotten particularly rocky when he resigned as General Mahamatra. He kissed you sweetly that night, told you he'd be gone for a few days on a mission and he left. Like usual.
It hurt more than anything because he left you in the dark. He hugged you goodbye, as he would when he left for any other reason but he left a letter on his desk at home. A letter addressed to you when you eventually got worried for him.
The sages were corrupted and he couldn't risk you getting involved it was just too dangerous. Cyno's absence was noticeable. Dinners that were once filled with idle chatter and bad jokes were quiet. The empty house you had once shared was suffocatingly lonely.
You had cried some nights, worried sick and hoping your lover was okay. You continued on, pushed through. That letter he left you was something you read frequently, scanning over the neat handwriting over and over.
You missed him dearly and only hoped he'd return home safely, like he did after every mission.

My dearest,
I hope you're taking good care of yourself in my absence. I know you're worried for me but this mission is a task only I can inflict judgement on. Something immoral is happening and I left because investigating in Sumeru City will put you at risk.
Please don't misunderstand my intentions love, I will miss you dearly. You are at the center of my world and everything I do, I do with you in mind.
I regret that this situation has come to this but I can not let such abuse continue on. I will answer your every concern once I return, I promise.
If anything does happen please go to Tighnari in Ghandarva ville. He'll be able to help you with anything in the mean time.
With all my love, forever yours,
Cyno

venti
I’m sure you don’t talk about him enough ; )
ah anon. you know me so well. anyway *cracks knuckles* here we go
how i feel about this character: i think about this character so much it's probably worrying. he's just so complex and compelling - from the moment you first meet him you realise that he has a really unique relationship with the world in general, and just. every time he makes an allusion to something that he doesn't expand upon either because he feels he shouldn't yet or because he's perhaps trying to protect himself i simultaneously want to throw him in the horse plinko and hug him. how do you even live after the first person who was ever really your friend, whose wish was to see the sky from beyond the barrier that was made by a god, dies after you fought for that with him and barely even got a glimpse of the freedom that he strived so hard for. how do you live after you take his form when you end up becoming the very thing that was the cause of your friends' suffering because you maybe feel that it's the only way to keep his ambition and hope for freedom living on after he died because maybe having a god's ideal be a human's wish for freedom is one of the only ways to negate the inherent respect that godhood commands but also probably because you just can't bear to let him go, at least for a period. how do you- *gets dragged forcibly off-stage*
all the people i ship romantically with this character: i can appreciate a lot of the popular venti ships however the only two that have ever really appealed massively to me are xiaoven and zhongven. you can see my post for this ask game about xiao for some my thoughts on xiaoven (i can elaborate if need be though) but for zhongven i just find their relationship sooo fascinating. they've lived through wars together, so chances are they've seen each other do utterly unspeakable things, and even that by itself can produce a very close kind of relationship. on the surface they're polar opposites but when you actually think about it they are fundamentally quite similar, despite their opposing natures. idk something something about a mountain that can erode and change but won't fall or move and the wind that comes and goes as it pleases but can still change it's course and can still come to rest sometimes. you get it right
my non-romantic otp for this character: *chanting* venti and jean. venti and jean. venti and jean. venti and jean-
ok but in all seriousness i just think that explorations of jean's religious devotion to barbatos being put under insane amounts of duress after the events of the mond archon quests very interesting. what do you do when you find out that the god that you devoted your entire life to is not just a concept and is, in fact, a person who's probably pretty depressed. idk. "met god and he's just some guy" type shit
my unpopular opinion about this character: uhhh i can't really think of anything right now? maybe how i actually think he's way more moon-coded as a character than sun-coded but i don't see many people on here actually talking about that so idk
one thing i wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: hehe. haha. forced barbatos reveal to all of mondstadt babyyyyy i feel like backing him into a corner and stopping him from running away from his problems so much would be good for him in the long run
#thanks for the ask anon. i knew this one was gonna come eventually lol#venti#ask game#some of this is kind of headcanon-y. just a prewarning so sorry

Lisa mentioned!!! I don't know much about the issue with her being flirty with the traveler and honestly, it sounds like people are nitpicking for something to complain about, but she's so cool!!
it sucks that the only thing people notice about Lisa are her looks (very pretty though) and flirtatious behavior when there's so much more to her! Not only is she the best Akademiya student they've had in the last 200 years, but she's also ridiculously strong. Varka wanted to make her a Captain right after Lisa joined, and it's stated that they would've been much stronger if she accepted that offer. Lisa has some of the coolest lore too and for some reason, no one talks about it??? She isn't even taking things seriously and she's already at this level of strength. She knew that she'd go crazy if she went down the path of pursuing knowledge no matter the cost, and a determined Lisa is NOT something that Teyvat would survive
For the other two that I definitely also agree with, I apologize if I get any of the lore wrong since I haven't done much of the Inazuma quests other than the main story (which was a while ago), but Kokomi, man!! Everyone was so hyped up when she first made her entrance, but then she suddenly just disappeared? In my opinion, the quest would've been cooler and had better lore if we spent more time with Kokomi than that Taipei (?) guy. No one talks about this either, but her ability to lead people is super impressive! Everyone doubted Kokomi when she first became the Divine Priestess since she was just a kid, but she proved them all wrong. Now, everyone trusts her and looks to her for help. Kokomi's skill as a leader is insane, and I really wish they did more with her lore 😭
Miko, man... No one talks about her unless it's to debate whether she's gay or manipulative!! She's only mentioned when people are talking about Eimiko and it sucks so much how seemingly no one sees how selfless and loyal she is. Miko was alone for 500 years!! I'm sure she had friends, but even those would only hurt her eventually since they would've passed away as well. The one person who experienced the same things, the one person who understood her, and the one person who she probably thought wouldn't abandon her like the others left her in her time of need without even saying goodbye. But Miko still waited! Even if she knew that there was a chance she'd never see Ei again, she was loyal enough to wait despite that. Miko gave up the very thing that gave Ei the authority of an archon without hesitation just for someone who had a chance to save Ei, the traveler. This is just my opinion, but I think Miko only really helped the people of Inazuma as much as she did as her way of preserving the eternity that her friend sacrificed so much for. She's so so kind and beautiful and loyal and selfless!! Whether you ship Eimiko or not, it's undeniable how Miko was such a good friend to Ei despite Ei not exactly reciprocating the same efforts.
Wow that is a lot of text. I am so sorry HAHAHAH 😭 There's no need to reply to this ask, I just saw you mention those three and wanted to ramble a bit hsjsh
Ik it's been a WHILE since this was talked about but I just wanted to 😊😊😊 put this out here BC YOU UNDERSTAND ME❗️❗️❗️ YOU UNDERSTAND ME SO HARD
DON'T WORRY ABOUT WRITING A LOT BTW FEEL FREE TO YAP ALL YOU WANT HERE HAHAHAHA I'M DOING THE SAME ANYWAY I just. Really love this specific trio :( I'm gonna cut this though cuz LOOOOONG ASS HELLL)LLL
Maybe I've just been on the wrong side of the fandom for long enough that I've seen complaints about Lisa and how she interacts with the Traveller ig (mostly due to the whole 'Traveller is a minor!!!!!' debate which......no energy is worth that age-old debate I'm ngl). SHE HAS SUCH INSANE BACKGROUND and so much of her is worth exploring????? Like I REALLY want them to go back to Mond and fully explore characters like her and Kaeya bc of how much they've got going on. While they're pretty, sure, there's so much more of interest beyond looks like it's actually WILD that Lisa has this much power despite her not visibly having some sort of indication she's blessed or has anything secret going on beyond her EXTREME capabilities
Not to mention tbh she seems like she'd be nice to have a nice nap with I'm gonna be real and put that out there 🤷♀️
IT'S COMPLETELY OKAY IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE LORE DW IDK JACK SHIT PAST INAZUMA AHAHAHAHAH but omg??? No yeah they SHOULD have put her and Teppei under the spotlight for a bit more. I get they wanted to show Teppei and his easy closeness with the Traveller, but I do feel like seeing a genuine connection between a leader and her citizen, a strategist and her soldier, until the very end would have been so???? Like it shows how both sides are important to the other bc they're acc quite dependent, it'd show off a LOT more depth between them. BONUS if, like I've said before, Kokomi had a hidden sort of grey morality and/or she KNEW about the Delusions but turned a blind eye for the sake of winning. It would've put Watatsumi AND her character AND Teppei's in such a conflicting yet important light, showing how Inazuma' sinner conflict's actually fucking things up everywhere beyond just "lol haha foreign intervention bc funny lmao". Would Kokomi get bad rep? Maybe, but at least then people won't just disregard her as some one-bit chr that appeared in a fit of bubbles and did nothing else
You're ABSOLUTELY right in saying that she had her own selfish-sounding goal of keeping Inazuma basically upfloat. I'm not going to pretend that this woman's selfless as hell and would do anything and everything for her country cuz she won't unless Ei or a close friend (whom most, if not all, have died long ago) told her to. I saw an Eimiko poll in twt at one point where it was like "would Miko choose Inazuma or Ei" and NEAR EVERYONE chose Ei. On B side majority agreed that Ei would be the complete opposite which. Is REALLY sad but MY POINT IS!!! She chooses to live by her instincts, to base her decisions and devotions to what she knows and what she adores bc she had No Choice but to basically grow up like that. With that in mind, she could have EASILY shirked her responsibilities and went on to live with amusement as the Only focus she has, but instead she actually chooses to devote herself to the role her best friend relied on her for. She is so??? Absolutely devoted and beautiful in the soul I love her so bad and she's such a lonely being :(((((((( I NEED TO KISS HER I LOVE YOU MIKO
I just. I really want and need them to be talked about more man :( they deserve so much attention compared to whatever they're getting rn 😞

Genshin Impact - Natlan Archon Quests Acts I-II A gushing long commentary
-Aww, saying farewell to the Fontainians
-“Your backpack’s so full that even when it’s an emergency, it still takes all day to find anything.” That’s a personal call-out to my Traveler
-Idc what anyone says, I love the Paimon-Traveler duo
-Holy shit, the Pyroculi are so pretty
-Aw dude, this region is beautiful and the music is so good
-Kachina’s sad face, oh no bb, I’ll join your team, don’t be sad!
-That music, it just draws you in
-Every time we go to a new region, I feel like a beginner all over again, tentatively exploring everything like it might bite. Also, the confusion of “How do I get to X point -.-” so nostalgic and refreshing.
-Very interesting how ancient names are inherited
-AAAAHHH the Traveler switching between elements, SO COOOOL
-OOOH, a HUMAN Archon, interesting!
-Kinich, Ajaw and Mualani, AAAHHH, hi bbs, hi!
-Dude, Kinich has the most beautiful eyes. He’s very pretty actually, he’s so pretty in-game, I underestimated him. And he has little braids!
-I’m sorry, I’m getting distracted- you’re saying “Mualani” and “Kinich,” but I’m seeing Spider-Man and Gwen you see
-The lore is very interesting
-They’ve done a real good job promoting Mualani, she’s so familiar already in a good way
-Shut up, Kinich and Ajaw are adorable with their bickering
-AAAHHH EVERYTHING IS SO PRETTY
-Aww, Spider-Man and Gwe- AHEM, Kinich and Mualani are so sweet to Kachina
-Okay, but seriously, the way Kinich and Mualani are hyping up each other, adorable
-Kinich will make sure the girls are up on time, oh my god, this trio is adorable.
-Are we gonna question why Ajaw is a pixel, or…
-I’m sorry, Kinich makes sure the girls wake up on time, that they’ve eaten, is he the mom-friend or…
-HELLO, Mavuika!
- Chasca!! Iansan!!!
-Ooh, Mualani’s play style is so cool and her animations are great
-Traveler shielding Kachina from the NPCs, HIS FACE
-Everyone is so much prettier in-game, I underestimated them
-Holy shit??? AETHER WITH A PONYTAIL??? Him and Paimon in actually different clothes??? THEY ARE SO CUTE??? Genshin, I don’t even recognize you anymore!! And Paimon’s little double ponytails?? This is so cool, so relaxing omg. Let’s make this a thing?? This is great?? I love Aether omg, smiley boy, I want all the best for him :”(((
-The people by the sea, I want to cry, Natlan is beautiful
-Not the Traveler’s purifying power??? AFTER ALL THIS TIME?! Amazing
-“Are we her friends? Or her murderers?” Ooooof, that’s heavy
-”The raw truth can be cruel. But we need to understand it if we want to approach this rationally.”
-Traveler-Mavuika ahoge contest
-I like Mavuika. Her vibe. She seems like a good Archon.
-Capitano!! Capitano vs Mavuika!!! SHE INJURED THE FIRST OF THE HARBINGERS!!!
-Dude, the directing has improved so much over the years.
-The NPCs. They’re getting prettier.
-We’re using the purifying power as gameplay, AAAAAHHHHHH!
-I appreciate the Venti and Holy Lyre nod, thank you.
-I can’t believe we’re having such normal, open conversations with an Archon, I’ll start sobbing
-Natlan and the relationships between Natlanians are so different from what I expected and I love them
-Eyyy, Mallko’s friendly ghost!!
-Wait, so you’re saying that Mavuika, the human Archon, ~died~ 500 years ago, and woke up again in the present with her memories and appearance intact, and in the meantime the position has been filled by other human Archons, correct? Did she spawn as she is, or… Did she just appear? Like, “Hello, I too am a Natlanian, fellow contemporaries”?
-The other two heroes should be Chasca and Citlali?
-This… feels big. The Archon and the heroes vs the Abyss. Even though we always save a nation, this feels heavier somehow.
-Also, lol, in hindsight I see the Simulanka hints.
-“Accessible.” That’s what sets Mavuika apart. I was thinking of “approachable” at first, but no, most Archons are approachable. She’s accessible- no whimsical answers, no secrecy and evasion, just honesty and openness.
-Oof, I really like Mavuika as a person.
-Is that Ororon’s voice??? Is it him??? With Capitano???
-Aah. I’m done, but I don’t want to leave the party!!
-Dude, that was A JOURNEY. That was a journey. I’m emotional, I enjoyed it so much, what a great beginning to the Natlan chapter :’)))

Hello! I saw you wanted scara requests and there was one idea from @kichiyoshi I REALLY wanted to see done but I don't think anyone has done yet. So if you did I'd be very thankful.
(It's like their only post and I don't think tumblr would allow me to copy the whole thing)
: ̗̀➛ ib: @kichiyoshi !!
: ̗̀➛ synopsis: looks like you forgot your consciousness was connected to the balladeer's. oops?
: ̗̀➛ ft. scaramouche x reader
: ̗̀➛ cw: written before 3.3 quest, cursing
: ̗̀➛ this idea was so cute!! thanks for sharing yaya
_________ ׂׂૢ་༘࿐
after the time in pardis dhyai, you were even more wary of scaramouche, not that you weren't already on edge because of him. you were just barely keeping your.. rather interesting thoughts out of your head while he spoke to you, knowing that he could read your mind. you could still feel his ghost-like shadow over your shoulder, tickling your ear. maybe you're just delusional.
he's in a coma now, isn't he? you thought to yourself. serves him right. i do wonder if i can see him though...
after a long and hard day, you really wanted some eye candy. however, i don't know why you'd pick the balladeer of all people, not to judge your taste of course (like seriously, cyno has his chest on display. though maybe that's for tighnari?)
"hey, nahida!" you waved to the small god, who seemed to be pondering something, as per usual. she brightened up upon seeing your face.
"why hello, y/n. what brings you here?" nahida inquired.
"i would like to see scaramouche, if that's possible," you answered with a sheepish smile on your face.
"ah, he just woke up a few days ago. he's in this room here, but keep in mind that he is still a bit disoriented," she warned, leading you to the room on the left.
"thanks nahida, see you later!" you knocked on the door as the god went away to do godly things, you presumed.
a familiar, snarky face answered the door. ah, how you hate to love this guy. or love to hate, either way.
keep it cool, y/n. and that you did. though internally, you were screeching. looks like you forgot all about how his consciousness was connected to yours. his sheer bodysuit left little to the imagination (a more modest approach compared to cyno's), kimono fitting loosely around his lithe figure, like he couldn't be bothered to tie it properly. though he has gone through a shocking change (he's a good guy now, or so nahida says), he still had that "i'm better than you" air to him. you'd be lying if you said you didn't find him attractive.
okay, i know he was evil, but he's not anymore so i am free to gush over him right? how is he so hot but cute at the same time!?
scaramouche, or should i say the wanderer, was flabbergasted to say the least. you dare make such presumptuous comments about him, a puppet that rose to become a god? how absurd! he has half a mind to reprimand you about your behavior right now! ah, but he is quite intrigued by your thoughts (which did not match your face at all), so he'll let it slide for now. after all, he's in a good mood today. this motherfucker knows he's the shit.
"hm, awestruck by my presence already?" he raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by how long you've been standing there, saying nothing, verbally at least. "a mere mortal like you should be."
"w-what? no! of course not! i'm just making sure you aren't trying to kill anyone again!" you sputtered, a feeble attempt at covering up your attraction.
archons, really! i wanna squish his cheeks! i bet they feel soft!
okay that was it.
"f-foolish human! do you not realize that i can very well hear your thoughts? you should watch what you think!" scaramouche tilted his hat down, hiding the red spreading on the cheeks you oh-so wanted to squish.
oh. oh shit. you'd forgotten all about that. to think you were so cautious before, cursing him out in your head, because no way you developed a crush on scaramouche. nuh-uh. all that hard work of denial and complaining had gone to waste, what a shame. what would the traveler think of you (not that they hadn't already known, and judged you for)? so, you thought of the next-best option in this worst-case scenario.
to run, of course.
you pushed his big-ass hat further down, hoping to disract him long enough to make your quick getaway. you bolted the hell out of there, your shoes clacking loudly against the tile floor. this way's probably the exit, right? you sprinted past a confused nahida, yanking open the double doors and yeeting yourself (not that you could fly) as far as you possibly could. which, was admittedly pretty far. you ran out of breath as you reached the edge of sumeru city, taking a few shortcuts to get there. you were doubled over on your knees, gasping for air like your life depended on it, which it did.
"ahem." oh hell no.
you looked up to a floating red-faced scaramouche, courtesy of his new anemo vision. venti really knows how to pick 'em, huh?
"dumbass." he seemed more flustered than you realized. "you did it again."
you laughed. "i'm not the one who looks like a tomato though!"
at that, he got even redder, if that was even possible.
"what's this? the almighty balladeer is embarrased?" you cooed, moving forward and dragging him down.
"shut up! you're the one with the weird thoughts!"
"and you're the one with the cute face!" you pinched his cheeks.
wow. they really were as soft as they looked.

Hiii!! I don't know if I've said this or not... but your fics are seriously amazing! Super heartwarming to read and super neat hehehe! If you have time and have played the Fontaine's archon Quest... please consider writing a lee! Wriothesley... with ler either Childe or Lyney hehehe... since either Childe or Lyney has definitely made direct contact/conversation with Wriothesley! Thanks a lot!! P.S. please no foot tickles hehehe...
HELLOOO :3
i am so so sorry for how long this took, i have had no motivation lately 😅
anyways this is such a cute idea and it was so fun to write!! enjoy <3
lee - wriothesley ☆
ler - childe ☆
“so, i hope you can get used to your new life here in the fortress of meropide.” wriothesley said unphased, as if there wasn’t a fatui harbinger right in front of him. he daintily sipped his piping hot cup of tea, deeply enjoying the aroma.
“you expect me to live in this shithole? it smells like sewage everywhere and everybody treats me like i’m weak.” the ginger boy complained, banging his fist on the table, causing tea to splash out of wriothesleys cup.
“well, nothing i can say but get used to it.” wriothesley chuckled under his breath, wiping some of the spilled tea droplets with his finger.
childe huffed, “that’s it! this is unacceptable!” he stood up menacingly, hands on the table. before leaning over and attempting to throw a hard punch at wriothesley. childes angry fist was met with wriothesleys palm.
“i’m afraid that’s against the rules, you can’t physically assault the duke of meropide. kindly humble yourself.” he gently pushed away childes palm. at this point, childe would have smoke coming out of his ears, the frustration in his eyes was enough to make anybody feel unsettled.
how could he teach this brat a lesson without getting into further trouble? his mind raced with all sorts of ideas, both violent and not.
until something hit him, a form of torture that is close to harmless but still could make anybody lose their mind. sure, it was silly, but childe would do anything to see this ass begging for his mercy. nothing is more satisfying to childe as a harbinger.
he sighed, closing his eyes as he remained standing. wriothesley noticed his electro delusion, it slowly began to glow in a mesmerizing way. while he got lost in the glowing purple orb, he felt his hands get pulled above his head, as if some invisible force was tampering with him.
out of instinct, he attempted to pull his arms down, but they felt strictly binded. oddly enough, as he looked up, he saw what appeared to be some purple cloud ensnaring his hands entirely.
as an important figure, he had to remain calm and unbothered. “can i atleast drink my tea?” he sighed. slouching back into the chair. “you’re just increasing your time spent here, little man.”
childe snarled, making his way over to the annoyed wriothesley. the black haired duke felt some sort of nervousness as childe approached. he made his way around and stood behind the duke. a few seconds of silence passed. until wriothesley felt a tingly feeling along his ribs.
this caught him very off guard, in fact, he actually flinched. it wasn’t that it hurt, but it strangely itched. he quietly grunted under the gentle touch. it felt very humiliating to be in such a situation.
“you said i cant hurt you so… i’ll have to resort to something else.” childe said cockily. wriothesley muffled a laugh as he felt the gentle fingers explore his exposed torso.
“eh…enough.. this is… rihidiculous.. unhand mehehe…” he stuttered, gently squirming.
“you’re quite ticklish indeed! seems not everyone is as tough as they look.” that snarky remark just made wriothesley want to sink into himself out of embarrassment.
as much as he hated to admit it, it was true. wriothesley was indeed very ticklish. tickling was never really something he thought about much. although sometime sigewinne would tease him about it.
he lost his train of thought as the feeling of wriggling fingers sped up. “hey, come on. enough with the tough guy act.”
wriothesley had one goal right now, to not laugh. he would rather die than be at the mercy of this bratty redhead. plus, it’s embarrassing to lose composure.
“you… arehehnt getting anywhere with thihis..” he choked out, trying to escape the feeling. he was slowly beginning to panic.
he thrashed against the chair, trying to wriggle out of his situation.
“kichikichicoo…” childe giggled, clearly he was having a blast.
“st-stohhop!! this is foolihihish!!” wriothesley squirmed and laughed under the wiggling fingers.
minutes passed, and wriothesley was beginning to grow weaker, no matter how much he squirmed he couldn’t escape the itchy feeling.
childe waited until wriothesley was panting with tears of laughter streaming down his face. until he could officially say that he had bested the duke.
“don’t even think about doing anything to me, duke.” he stepped away from him, very satisfied with what had come.
wriothesley was too humiliated to respond, he simply lowered his face, clenching his eyes shut with a frustrated frown.
“i’ll be on my way then.” childe said friendly, as if nothing had happened at all.
“h-hey wait.. my hands are still stuck, come back here at once!! i order you!”

Just for the sake of posterity... I've completed Scott and Jaal's romance, we beat the Archon, Meridian is settled and I've got almost 580 hours in on this game! And we saved Captain Dunn while we were at it because, in this house, we love and respect Captain Nozomi Dunn and we take the time, even when we're doing a straight up romance run, to recruit all 3 Pathfinders so that Captain Dunn doesn't die at the end! *nodnods very firmly*
Seriously, it takes less time to skip the Turian and Asari Pathfinder missions (you'll get the Salarian Pathfinder no matter what) but without all 3, Captain Dunn will die when the Hyperion crashes and that makes me feel AWFUL. I already feel bad because I've spent the whole game dodging the side quests she keeps trying to give me, lol!
Anyway, I'm gearing up to play as Sara again after a lonnnnng span of playing as Scott. And, since the People Have Spoken™️😂 I'll be playing as my original red haired Sara!
There's no telling who I'll be romancing. IT COULD BE ANYBODY. LITERALLY ANY ONE OF SEVERAL OPTIONS. ANY BODY.
youtube
Although, to be fair, I'm really wanting to romance my best Turian girl Vetra again. So I miiiiiight try to resist the charms of Mr. The Charlatan but we'll see how strong I Sara can be, lol! 🤞😣🤞😉
Aww, Vetra is such a sweetie! 💗💗💗I really do love her so much and, since her Loyalty Mission is only necessary if you're advancing her romance AND I haven't romanced her in a long time, I really want to do a playthrough where I complete the mission for her.
And, of course, I need to see if there's a mod to add the (In)famous Andromeduck. Because, you know, reasons.
Heh. Just kidding on that one, of course. But if I don't at least name one of these ducks "Andromeduck," then I'm doing a disservice to my silly nature. 😂😉
Hey, maybe I should get a rubber ducky and name it Andromeduck? It could go with Garrus and/or Shepard!
Those are just too cute, aren't they? 🤗🤗🤗 (And stupid expensive, oyyyy.)
Okay, that's all for now, frens. I've finally realized what's made me continue to put off playing the OT Mass Effect but that's a rambly post for another time. I'mma get there, though!
Mission: Must... romance... Garrus!
Yeah, I love the Turians, can you tell? 🤷♀️😜💖
And I'm expecting my first male!Shep romance to be Tali or Jack. (Playing first as fem!Shep should give me a chance to get to know them all a little more so I can decide who male!Shep will start by romancing but I'm presuming it will be one of them. 😉) And then there are SO MANY others I neeeeeed to romance as both male and female Shep. But I've got to see if I can optimize three games like I've learned to do for Andromeda so it won't take me years and years to get through them all, lol!
Aislynn, age 502, still at her computer, doggedly trying to play all of the possible male and female Shepard romance options 😮🤣
Enough for now. Love you all, frens, and hope this finds you very well. 🤗🤗🤗
#mass effect: andromeda#mass effect andromeda#mass effect andromeduck#lol#sara ryder#reyes vidal#vetra nyx#sara ryder x reyes vidal#sara ryder x vetra nyx#ais is a silly thing#this is my game tag#ageless aislynn#needs way more sleep in her life what can i say?#go to sleep ais you're getting sillier than usual! 😮😂#🦆#Youtube
