I think general taxes were already a thing in the victorian era, though how much the palace is collecting these days is certainly a question

But for sure the game has mentioned that the masters collect taxes on things related to their various domains - which is the main reason I say Alex doesnt pay taxes :P.

(That and I don't think being a criminal leads to declarable income)

Alex is 30 so is def not old man yaoi. so i was gonna go with 'tax paying age yaoi'

but like. im not sure Alex pays taxes.
