You know what really bothers me about the Serena/new guy flirting storyline? It’s biphobic. It promotes the untruths told about bi women. That they are cheaters, that they are sex hungry & that they are only with a woman until they find the right man ultimately meaning “it was just a phase”. Absolutely fucking disgusted to see this. Being bi is hard enough we don’t need t.v. shows feeding into the hate bi women(like me) get. Fuck you Holby and your horrible representation.

There is one commonly accepted way of writing a female character that was straight into a lesbian.

It goes, Girl gets crush on/has a steamy encounter with another Girl. Straight* girl then has a panick and immediately try’s to prove to herself she’s Straight. Straight* Girl then is talking with someone who asks about she feels about the Girl. Straight* girl then reveals that she’s never felt anything like what she’s felt with the Girl.

After trying and failing to use her past to make her not a Lesbian and having many more encounters with a Girl, the Straight* Girl realizes that she is *gasp* a Lesbian!

Which means its a cartoon aimed at younger kids and not 50 year old kids, but the Animation Magazine article does use the phrase “and a rogue’s gallery of comedic villains” which does fairly imply it will contain adventure.  I am also guessing Rocketeer going Disney Junior means that the upcoming Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur cartoon series will not be Disney Junior.
