I know it's not relevant but I need to know. Is the school mascot at your High School Au a duck? because there's no way Lucifer is the principal and misses the chance to make his high school mascot a duck.
I would love to, but a team announcing that they're "The Pentagram Ducks!!" kinda sounds lame af ngl so I'm making their mascot a swan instead. Close enuff, and the Ugly Duckling reference still gets to be there! I wanted the mascot to either be an angel or devil to make it even more on the nose, but struggled to stick with either one since there's a mixture of canon angels and demons in this AU. If it's a swan tho you can pick and choose to picture either a white swan for an angel or a black swan for something darker. Best of both worlds!
(Lucifer probably did want it to be a duck but he didn't get the final say on it)

Adam x fem!reader
Summary: A glimps into the future.
roughly based on this and this; can be read as a little epilogue for college au but also can be a standalone
tag/cw/tw: children, adam and reader as parents, parenting, fight between parent and child, puberty
It’s evening when you return home, the sun was slowly settling into the horizon, saying goodbye with its warm orange rays. A much needed outing is was lured you out of the house.
When you close the door behind you, you hear loud music blast through the house. That already was enough of an indicator on what kind of day today was for your family. You hear the TV quietly play, with cutlery hitting porcelain. While you took one shoe off, you hopped towards the living room to take a peak in.
Your two daughters sat on the couch, eating cereal. 17 and 9. Your oldest and youngest. They barley acknowledge you with a weak “Hey Mama.” You sigh, exhaustion settling into your bones. The nigh-shift has begone for you.
You try not to gossip with your children about their siblings or father. The emphasis is on try, and you needed to check out the situation.
“What’s going on?” You decide on asking. You finally were able to weasel out of your other shoe, stepping into the living room.
“We are jus’ wasching TV.” Your youngest spoke through a mouth full off cereal. You smile at her stuffed cheeks.
Settling on your eldest, you look into her golden eyes. Her dark ringlet curls framed her face perfectly. You always said that she got her hair from sera, and everything else from Adam.
“Father and Mr. Puberty we’re going at it. They were already fighting when we got home.” Your eldest took out her youngest sister today, she just thinks her oldest sister is the coolest. So you made sure they had money and the car to spend time together. You slipped your eldest some extra cash in the morning, thanking her for taking the time out of her day. You remember being 17 and thinking your younger siblings being annoying and embarrassing.
“Hmmm. You need me to bring you to bed, sweetheart?” You ask your youngest. Even though it’s not a school night, messing up a good sleep schedule is horrible. She was already yawning, and rubbing her eyes. She scrunched up her nose, and furrowed her brows.
“No. I can’t sleep when the musics so loud…Can’t I stay up a little longer? Please?” She begged you. You rubbed your neck, knowing that she’s right. Glancing at the clock, you saw that it wasn’t that late.
“Alright. But! When I say you need to get into bed, you do without complaining. That includes brushing your teeth! Got it? You’re a big girl now.” You put on your mom voice, while your daughter nodded her head so vigorously that you were afraid it would fall off. She would have probably agreed to anything if it meant being able to stay up later. You brushed a hand through her hair, your little mini me.
You consider, for a moment, if you should go upstairs. Talk to your oldest son. But he sadly got the temperament from his father, so you knew the best thing is to wait till the music got quieter. You weren’t sure when the fighting stopped and you didn’t want to provoke him some more.
Kissing both your daughters foreheads, you walk towards the kitchen. From there you step out into the terrace, seeing your husband sit on the wood. Sulking. He didn’t even look back, when you walked towards him.
You brushed your hand over his shoulder, sitting down besides him.
“Hi, my love….You wanna talk about it?” You ask him, carefully.
Adam scoffed, but he didn’t shake your hand off. That’s good. He rolled his head, like he was playing with the words in his mind,
“..Nothing to talk about. Just wondering if there’s anyway to reverse ageing to keep ‘em babies forever.”
You laugh at that. The baby stage was Adam’s favourite phase. When they were small enough to fit into his one hand, when they couldn’t talk back, when he and you were their whole world. He misses that. You knew that. He wasn’t bothered about changing diapers and waking up every 3 hours to feed them. His heart broke when they took their first steps (away from him), said their first words, and had their first kindergarten and school days.
For you personally, the fun begins when they can talk back to you and walk. You love watching them grow and seeing what kind of people they grow up to be.
“I’m afraid not.” You sadly tell him. Adam sighs, he wraps his arm around you and pulls you into his side. He was starting to relax.
“I mean, we aren’t getting younger either.” You say, gently taking his face into your hand. He’s still the handsomest guy you know, with the extra wrinkles and gray hair. God bless him for not going bald, his hair line is still strong.
“Yeah, but milfs are hot, baby.” You snort at his words.
“So are dilfs.” He wraps his arm tighter around you. Adam kisses the top of your head.
He rubes his forehead with his free hand, his nose was scrunched up and brows furrowed, groaning and finally confessing to you, “I just..I don’t fucking get why we don’t get along? Like what the fuck? Are we goddamn fire and water?…More like oil and fire because of how much we piss each other off. I literally have to reconnect with fucking nature here so I don’t completely blow up.”
You rub Adam’s back soothingly.
“I think it’s because you guys are so similar. You just know how the other ticks so it hits extra hard when you try to hurt each other.” You whisper to him.
He looks into your eyes, defeated.
“And I think we should have only had daughters. Wayyy better.” He jokes at you. You giggle at that.
“Oh no, they also make me wanna rip my hair out. Everything’s perfect the way it is.” You give him a quick kiss on the lips. The music was getting quieter. You stood up, dusting dirt of your butt.
“Go reconnect with nature while I wrangle with our hellspawn.” You walked back into the house.
Deciding to take a quick peak into the living room, you saw both your daughters fast asleep on the couch. The TV was still running. You softly smile at the sight of them.
Walking up the stairs, you gently knock on the door of your oldest son. His door was decorated in various stickers, all following a dark aesthetic.
“Go away, Adam!.” Came a muffled shout through the door.
If your children started calling you by your first name you would also sit on the terrace, to reconnect with mother nature.
You opened the door, sticking your head through.
“Is just me. You want me to go away?” You gently ask him. It’s like talking to a spooked animal.
His sharp eyes took your form in, till he decided to simply shrug his shoulders. That’s a yes? You stepped in, gently closing the door behind you. It’s kind of like walking on ice, when you talk to a teenager.
Sitting down on his desk chair, you simply spun around in circles while looking around. Since he’s old enough to decorate the room himself, it’s always nice to see the new added details.
“..Can you fucking believe that he asked me to clean up my room? Who does he think he is?” He scrunched up his nose and furrowed his brows.
It was really hard to contain your laughter, but somehow you did it.
“I would have also asked you to do that.”. You tell him with a giggle. You stood up, and walked towards him. He was sitting on his bed.
“You know, you all do that.” You booped his nose, and then gently massaged the point between his brows, “And even though you look like us, talk like us, laugh like us you’re still your own people. That’s weird, you know. Having a baby. Taking charge of another person like that. And then suddenly, they yell at you for buying uncool clothes, or for telling them to complete their chores. When, only a moment ago they couldn’t stand the idea of leaving your side.”
He didn’t look at you. He didn’t need to.
“You really don’t want to talk about it?”
“..Goodnight.” He laid down on the bed. Closing his eyes.
“I love you, sleep well.” With that you left the room. Well that sure was productive.
Walking into your bedroom, you saw that Adam was already in there, getting ready for bed.
“How’s nature?” You playfully asked him.
“It’s fucking calling to me, I swear on that. Returning to the old days of being hunter and gatherers. Wanna come with me?”
“Hmm, no I’m like the biggest fan of modern medicine, you know?….By the way. How dare you ask our son to clean his room?” You playfully asked him.
Adam chuckled at that, “I dunno. I’m just such a horrible father I guess. He fucking called me a control freakish facist?”
You started to get undressed yourself while laughing at that, while Adam watched you with intense eyes.
“How’s it possible you only got sexier with time and pregnancies?” Adam walked towards you, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you towards him. You smiled at him, till you remembered something.
“Oh my god! Adam, you won’t believe who I saw today. Guess who’s getting a divorce?”
Adam grinned like he just won in the lottery, “No fucking way!”

So I assume for some reason a rather young Emily ends up falling maybe she asked a few questions she shouldn't have and the elders not wanting another Lucifer just decide to get rid of her before she causes problems. Sera tries her best to stop them from removing her and when that fails tries to jump after her but can't she as High Seraphim has her soul owned by heaven so she can't leave when she tries something like husks chains show up and stop her. Sera desperate and scared for Emily decides to contact Carmilla her ex. They broke up over because they were on different sides when Lucifer rebelled and it was a messy break up both believed very strongly in what side they were on and using paradise lost maybe both were involved in the fighting. Even if Carmilla didn't end up in hell after Lucifer lost they probably wouldn't have gotten back together in the aftermath. But Sera is desperate and with no other choices so she contacts Carmilla and after some arguing explains everything and begs Carmilla to take care of Emily she agrees not for Sera but because she doesn't want someone else to suffer because of heaven's injustice she is still bitter. So she takes Emily in and raises her as one of her own. She and Sera stay civil for Emily's sake since Sera calls everyonce and while to see how she's doing and tell her she loves her. Both of their hatred slowly starts to die down over time.
I see a lot of speculative art and fanfic where Emily ends up falling because she tries to support Charlie. I hope that's not the case.
In this specific scenario, Carmilla would still be bitter in the beginning. Her old lover coming out of nowhere to beg for Emily's sanctuary? It's preposterous. She doesn't owe her anything. Carmilla probably feels no obligation at first. Probably hasn't talked to Sera in hundreds or thousands of years; that's been Lucifer's job, to keep the lines with Heaven open and keep them sated. But the fact that Sera is coming to her specifically this time, before even getting Luci involved, telling her she tried to follow Em but couldn't because Heaven has her in its chains, Carmilla can tell she really means it. Can hear the fear and anguish in her voice. She agrees for Emily's sake.
I like to think she'd take Emily under her proverbial wing like she did Vaggie. Eventually, she helps Emily grow back her wings. Emily learns to fight with angelic weapons and defend herself. Maybe Vaggie and Charlie mentor her, and when she's no longer in shock and has overcome some of the trauma of her fall, she moves into the hotel to help rehabilitate sinners.
I'm not sure if she would ever want to go back to Heaven after everything they've done, but eventually when they realize Sinners can be redeemed, things start to change for the better, and she can reunite with Sera again.

“Okay, so the key to a good sand castle is a good sand to water ratio. If you have too much water, it’s mud, too much sand and it won’t stick. You want it to stand on its own but still be pliable. Like this,” *Emily squeezes a handful of sand and it keeps the shape of the space between her palm* “Once you have that, you can build it up and shave away what you don’t need. If you make a mistake, just add a little more and fix it.”
*She offers the sand castle building kit to Shamira* “Here, now you try!”
Alright, Sugar, here you go. Go ahead and summon your mask; it's your time to shine.
Shamira smiles, snapping her fingers to summon a periwinkle mask into place. It wasn't the same as her face guard, the fabric far more flexible and permitting her to speak, but it brought her a similar level of peace. She then took the kit Emily handed her, tilting her head as she puzzled through the various pieces. Aside from the bucket that carried the kit, there was a small hand shovel and several molds to build the actual castle. "It seems fairly straight forward."
She kneels down and familiarizes herself with the various components before taking the bucket to dig out a small pit, intending to use it to create a pool of water she could easily draw from and using the displaced sand to build her castle. Then, she went to gather water.
You know, now seems like a good enough time to ask- why sandcastle building?
I'm unsure what you mean with that question.
You're pretty invested in doing this and I'm just curious what about sandcastles has your attention. Not like either of us knew surfing was a bad idea until this morning.
Shamira gathers up water in the bucket and ferries it back to her pit, going back for a second trip as most of the water began seeping through the sand at the bottom.
I am intrigued by the concept and I hope to better understand our dynamic by experiencing the process myself.
Our dynamic?
Yes. We're very much like a sandcastle.
Sugar, I'm pretty good at reading you, but ya gotta explain this one.
Shamira continues bringing water, focused solely on creating her pool of water and conversing with Ass in her head.
Sandcastles combine two concepts that should not make sense together. Sand is malleable, always shifting, dynamic; a castle is not. The stone is immutable, worn away only after ages have passed. You are the sand- dynamic, changing, adapting, and yet you remain true. No matter how the ocean beats against you, you are still the same Ass, despite how much you've changed,l just like you may never walk on the exact same sand but the beach endures. I am the castle; I am set in my ways, virtually incapable of changing easily, and I fear I may be worn away entirely one day.
What makes you think you'll be worn away?
A few things. I'm not as strong as you- spiritually. It's as Emily said; you are a wild, blazing flame. I am not.
Just because you're not a flame doesn't mean you can't endure. Look at the Palace; that's a type of castle and it's been around ages.
... I suppose.
And, even if you're always going to be a castle, that doesn't mean you can't change. You were once a castle dedicated to Sera. Now you're dedicated to Emily.
I changed because you showed me how. In that way, we are a sandcastle- two things that, by all rights, should not be even remotely considered relevant to each other. Yet, we are.
Okay. Well. Couple things. First, whatever our 'dynamic' is, I promise it's gonna be stronger and hardier than any fucking sandcastle.
Noted.
Secondly, sandcastles, even well built ones, are still messy and imperfect. So, it's okay if we're a little messy and imperfect, too.
Reasonable.
Finally, trust Em's word. It's about finding the right ratio, the right balance. It might not be intuitive. But, if we keep working at it, we'll figure it out.
I believe that's a sound strategy.
Awesome. Now, you've been fucking silently filling up that hole with water for, like, ten minutes. Em's probably a little worried.
Shamira blinks and looks up, turning her head to meet Emily's gaze while holding up the bucket. "Preparations are almost complete. Then, construction can begin."

Mistakes Were Made (Chapter One)
A Lightcannon fic I've been chipping away at for a while now.
Fic Description: Jinx unintentionally forces Lux to out herself as a mage.
Lux never would have thought so much good could come out of being kidnapped.
Sure, most people would be terrified to have a blue-haired stranger appear in a flash of light and whisk them away to some sort of pocket dimension for a death match with eight more strangers, but honestly... it had been really, really fun.
Once she'd gotten over the initial shock of it all, Lux didn't have as much of a problem playing along as one might think. The stranger, Jinx, had been more than happy to demonstrate to her that no one could really die in this place she called the Rift, via a swift gunshot to her own head. Lux had maybe screamed a little, but it was definitely comforting to have confirmation that a fallen player would simply reappear at one of two ends of the map, no worse for wear.
Really, it was a lot easier than it should have been to get Lux to play, and from there, everything just sort of spiraled.
Free of all consequences and a good amount of her usual inhibitions, Lux was able to really let loose with her magic for the first time. Jinx seemed to appreciate her raw power and how ever so slightly nuts she'd gone at possibly her only opportunity to do literally whatever she wanted with it. The two of them didn't even need their teammates to completely dominate the game, which they did with reckless abandon.
When it was over, Jinx returned Lux safely home as she'd promised, but not without a promise whispered in the seconds before she vanished again: "I am definitely keeping you, Blondie."
For about a month after that, Lux managed to convince herself it had been some crazy, fantastical dream brought on by her repressive environment. In a country like Demacia, with a family like the Crownguards, it was only natural her subconscious mind would invent a reality it preferred. One where she could use her magic freely, go off on an adventure, and buddy up to someone who represented all of her temptations in life, both physical and otherwise.
But then Jinx made good on her promise, and Lux instead convinced herself she'd simply received a gift from some god somewhere out there. The escape she longed for was real, and her new friend had come back for her.
They continued their games whenever they could, typically at one-to-two-month intervals because of how difficult it could be to get ten people from all over the world together. Lux noticed as time went on that there would often be changes to roster of other players, until at one point she and Jinx were the only two left from their first game.
"Ah, sometimes you just gotta swap 'em out for people who are more fun," Jinx said when Lux asked about it. "Not you, though, Blondie. You were always the most fun."
Eventually, after quite a few swaps and trial runs, Jinx managed to put a solid long-term team together. Her and Lux, of course, with the addition of a surprisingly friendly creature made entirely out of green slime, a pink-haired songbird type on an elaborate hoverboard, and a man in a mask with a very different hoverboard who absolutely refused to play until Jinx pulled him aside for a long private conversation.
Zac, Seraphine, and Ekko. All people Jinx claimed were from home. Or almost, in Sera's case. It was these three, particularly Ekko, who gave Lux some much needed insight into Jinx as a person.
Another area in which Lux differed from most people was that most people would probably feel betrayed or disgusted or afraid upon hearing that their friend had blown up a city-state's entire government. But Lux had heard a thing or two about Piltover's old Council, largely from some of the previous players Jinx had brought around, and to be honest, she considered blowing them up to be an act of community service. A little brutal, yes, but a genuine favor to the people suffering under their rule.
What got to her a little more were the personal blows Ekko had taken. The betrayal of his oldest friend, and her subsequent murders of several of his newer friends. Only the fact that she hadn't gone near him in years made it possible for him to look at her now. Only an old, barely surviving desire to see her be better compelled him to play her game. She needed it, he claimed, to get the crazy out somewhere it wouldn't really hurt anyone.
Jinx didn't seem to love being presented with this information later that day, but she engaged with it nonetheless. Admitted to everything. Agreed with Ekko's assessment. The game was fun, yes, but it was primarily an outlet. A form of therapy, almost. Lux had to respect her for that; for recognizing what she needed to keep herself in check and following through with it.
They played on for another year, mostly sticking with Jinx's favorite assortment of allies but consistently switching up the members of the enemy team to keep things interesting. Lux got more and more used to this recreational violence, but she still found it exciting every time.
Strangely, though, the most exciting part to her was always that Jinx had never lost her initial awe of Lux's performance in the games. She was consistently impressed, often staring, and always laying the praise on thick. This all came to a head after a particularly exciting match, in which Lux had stuck with Jinx in the bottom section of the map and completely destroyed their lane with her. That, according to Jinx, had been "super hot", and one thing led to another led to Lux pinned against a tree in the jungle area with Jinx's lips and hands roaming her body.
This quickly became a standard post-game ritual of theirs, and over the course of the next six months, they grew steadily more emotionally invested each other. Neither of them could say exactly when their relationship became "official", but it did at one point or another, and thinking about it got Lux through the time spent between matches with her mental health more or less intact.
Even at times like this, when she was cooped up in the Crowngaurd Estate, awaiting tomorrow's arrival of a suitor she'd been expected to entertain for at least a weekend, she could sit by her window and draw little pictures of her girlfriend. And once the man was gone, rejected at the end of his opportunity to court her like the three that had come before him, she could look forward to the next game.
She did wonder how many more suitors her parents would allow her to cycle through before they really began to insist that she settle down, but she felt safe for the moment. At least for now, her family seemed to perceive her rejection of each and every suitor as pickiness, and that was fine by them. No noble would want their daughter to settle for just anyone, after all. She could turn up her nose at prospective mates all she wanted, and they'd simply keep bringing in more for her consideration.
It would likely get worse as she aged and cut into more of her "childbearing years", as her mother liked to put it, but for now, she was twenty-three and tolerated in her role as the stuck-up young noblewoman who would settle for no less than the perfect husband.
Yeah, right, she chuckled to herself as she outlined the shape of Jinx's shoulders on her page. Like there's such a thing.
For her, at least, there would never be such a man. One day, when it all got to be too much, she would leave this place behind. Jinx would come for her and whisk her away, not for the day but forever. For all the love she held for her family and the better aspects of her country, Lux knew her future did not lie here. She would leave it all behind eventually, when she was ready to say goodbye.
Until then, she would draw and play pretend and dream and be satisfied with her brief escapes.
She smiled at Jinx's sketched face looking up at her, longing to see the real thing again. They were about due for another game, but Jinx tended to show up with absolutely no warning, so Lux could only give her best guess as to when they'd see each other.
Right now, apparently.
The window by Lux's desk flew open despite having definitely been locked a second before, and in climbed the very woman who occupied the majority of Lux's thoughts these days.
"Mornin', Sunshine," Jinx crowed, dropping from the window to her feet.
"It's nighttime," Lux corrected her gently. Jinx squinted out the open window, like she'd only just realized.
"Huh," she said under her breath. "Guess so."
"It's good to see you, but what's with the entrance tonight?" Lux inquired, recapturing Jinx's attention. "You usually just zap right into my room. And... how did you even get up to my window?"
"Ah, y'know, climbed, dodged some guards," Jinx said rather flippantly. "Had a pretty good time, I guess, but that's not the important part. It's game time, Blondie! Got everything all ready to go!"
"Tonight?" Lux asked.
"Yeah, for tonight." Jinx held out her hand, as she often did, to invite Lux into her teleporter's range.
"I'm sorry, Jinx, but I can't tonight." Honestly, it was kind of a miracle they'd gotten this far without ever having some kind of scheduling conflict. "I have to be up at dawn to greet a suitor."
"A what?" Jinx's brow furrow slightly.
"A suitor," Lux echoed. "A man my parents invited here to get to know me. He's going to spend the weekend trying to court me."
"Huh?" In an adorably canine fashion, Jinx tilted her head to the side.
"Trying to impress me so I might want to marry him," Lux explained. "And I won't, of course! I send all my suitors away. But I still have to entertain them for the time they're given."
"Ohhhh." Jinx let out a small chuckle, which was a better reaction than Lux had expected. Knowing her and her past, threatening to simply murder all of Lux's suitors had been a very real possibility. Instead, she said, "just skip it."
"What?" Like it would ever be that easy. It wasn't even an option, really.
"Skip it," Jinx persisted. "You don't wanna do it, right? And it's stopping you from doing something you do wanna do. So just don't do it. Come with me instead."
Lux would be lying if she said the idea wasn't tempting, but she knew better than to think she could accept. It was too easy to lose track of time on the Rift; too easy to have it interfere with the plans that had been made for her. She would never be able to come up with an acceptable excuse if someone came looking for her and she was nowhere to be found on such an important day.
"I'd like to, Jinx, but I really can't," Lux said as gently as she could. "I have to wait until after this weekend."
"Aw, c'mon, Blondie," Jinx pleaded. "Everyone else is ready to go. We need ya."
"Maybe you can find a substitute this time?" The suggestion almost physically pained her, but not as much as it seemed to offend Jinx.
"No way," she said stubbornly. "You're the best part. It won't be any fun without you."
"I'm flattered, but-" Lux stopped dead as someone knocked twice at her bedroom door. Her entire body stiffened, and she stood to grab Jinx as if she were going to shove her back out the window. "Shit. You have to go."
"Why?" There was a distinct whine to Jinx's voice that was entirely too loud for the situation.
"Luxanna? Are you talking to someone?" Garen called from the other side of the door. Lux supposed it was better than her parents, but still not good by any means.
"I can't let anyone see you," Lux hissed. "I can't explain this to my family."
"I ain't scared of 'em," Jinx protested, "and you shouldn't be either. They're just a bunch'a fancy dickheads with sticks up their asses. I don't get why you think you have to listen to them."
"Lux, are you alright?" The knocking grew louder and more insistent. "Who's in there?"
"Jinx, please." But it was too late.
The door wasn't locked. Lux never locked it, because why would she in a place like this, where she was always safe and disturbing her privacy was a punishable offense for anyone but the parents who rarely cared to visit her quarters? Except Garen had probable cause, hearing an unfamiliar voice in Lux's room.
He threw the door right open and walked on in. For a second, nothing happened. They were just three people staring at each other. Then, all Hell broke loose.
Garen quickly took notice of Jinx's weapons and reached for his sword. Why he had it on him right now, Lux didn't know and didn't have time to ask. Jinx, in response, removed the gun she called Zapper from its holster and pressed it to the side of Lux's head.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Lux glanced back at her, bewildered but not afraid. Crazy as she was, Jinx would never pull the trigger. Not on her.
"Lux!' Garen quickly drew his blade, but the gun to her head stayed his hand. Guns weren't common weapons in Demacia, but Garen knew enough to know he would never cross the room fast enough. If Jinx actually wanted to kill Lux, she could do it in an instant. "Unhand her!"
Jinx took Lux by the arm and dragged her up from her seat. "New game, Blondie."
"What?" Oh, Lux did not like the sound of that.
"If we can't play fight, we'll play keep-away instead." Jinx secured her free arm around Lux's middle and began to back them both up toward the window.
"Jinx, wait-"
Lux didn't have time to finish her objection before Jinx, dragging her along, leaped through the open window. She didn't know which was louder; Garen's horrified cry or Jinx's shriek of delight as they plummeted toward a well-kept garden three stories below.
"Do your thing, Blondie!" she called.
Her thing? What the hell was "her thing" in a situation like this?
"Break our fall!" Jinx clarified when Lux just stared at her incredulously.
Oh! She wanted a hard light barrier, like the ones Lux often used to shield herself and her allies on the Rift. It probably wouldn't work to break a fall in the traditional sense, but Lux was no stranger to getting creative with her magic. She just had to pray nobody saw.
They both collided hard with a barely visible structure that had appeared directly beneath them, then began to slide forward at a sharp decline that gradually eased up. Lux kept her eyes closed, concentrating on the next few feet, then the next, then the next, trying to keep them at a pace that would get them to the ground quickly but not injure them on impact.
It was harder than one might think to keep up with it, even with all the magic practice she got on the Rift, and Jinx hollering excitedly in her ear didn't help.
They landed in a rosebush and seemed to take every single thorn with them as they rolled out in a tangled heap. Jinx ended up on top of Lux, staring down at her with bright eyes and a joyful grin.
"You gotta do that more often!"
"Shhh!" Lux sat up, nearly smacking her forehead against Jinx's with the speed of it, spitting out leaves as she harshly shushed her. "Someone probably heard us land. You have to get out of here."
"Aww, don't worry, Blondie," Jinx replied lightly. "I'm great at keep-away!"
"No," Lux groaned, but she didn't have time to air her frustrations. She could already hear voices and footsteps swiftly approaching.
"And that's our cue." Once more, Jinx grabbed Lux by the arm and hoisted her up, then she took off running. Lux was left with no choice but to stumble after her, mind searching desperately for a way to defuse this situation.
"Jinx, there's nowhere to go!" Lux insisted.
"That's what they think." Jinx casually raised Zapper to remind Lux she still had it, even though by all logic she really should've dropped it in the fall.
"No!" Lux pushed Jinx's arm down. She didn't know what the hell she would do if Jinx shot her guards.
"What's the matter?" Finally, Jinx seemed to realize Lux wasn't having fun.
Unfortunately, it was that exact moment that the guards started to catch up with them. Everywhere Lux looked, a different pair of patrolling guards ran toward them, swords drawn. One of them recognized her in the dark and called out to her by name, spurring the others on.
"You have to leave!" Lux insisted, yanking her arm out of Jinx's grasp. "Zap away. I-I'll do my best to clean up this mess."
"Lux..." Jinx licked her lips, her brow furrowing as she tried to put the pieces together. She had finally clocked that Lux was upset, but not why. "It's just a game, babe. You love games."
"They're not playing!" Lux gestured with one hand at the swiftly approaching guards and used the other to lightly shove at her girlfriend.
"The Pilties were never playing either," Jinx said. "That never stopped me. C'mon, lighten up. It'll be fun."
She raised her gun again. The guards were definitely in range, and almost close enough to reach Jinx with their swords. They were out of time.
"STOP IT!" The scream escaped Lux before she had a chance to think about it, and so did the burst of arcane energy.
Instantly, everyone but her and Jinx froze in their tracks, caught up in a shimmering wall of mana that she frequently used to immobilize people on the Rift. It was one of her favorite things to do; laughing while her enemies raged about being rendered defenseless. Now, though, it gave her a strong urge to throw up.
The guards were frozen physically, but they were still aware. They would still know what Lux had done to them. That she was a mage.
She'd just outed herself in probably the worst way possible.
Part of her expected Jinx to hoot and holler and try to drag her away again, but it seemed the scream had stunned her. Lux had never screamed at her before.
"What's wrong?" she asked, equal parts gentle and anxiety. "We're just playin', right?"
"No!" Lux snapped, tears burning her eyes. "No one else is playing, Jinx! I'm not playing!"
Jinx shrank back with something of a kicked-puppy expression and said, "ohh, fuck... shit, Blondie, I'm sorry. I'll take ya back upstairs, I-"
"No." Lux stepped away from Jinx's outstretched hand. Upstairs wouldn't help her now. Honestly, at this point, the safest option for her would probably be to just go with Jinx after all. Now that all these people had seen her magic, suitors would be the least of her concerns. The oppressive laws of her homeland would be turned on her in full force.
And yet... she still wasn't ready to leave.
"Go home, Jinx," she murmured.
"B-but you're cryin'." Jinx continued to reach for her, but Lux wouldn't have it.
"Please." Lux met Jinx's horrified eyes and held her gaze. "Please, go."
"Okay..." Jinx replied, small and sad. "I'll see ya later, yeah?"
"Yeah." Despite the emotional turmoil, the fear and uncertainty for her immediate future, Lux managed a smile. "Yeah. Love you."
"Love you too." In a flash of electric blue light, Jinx was gone, and not a moment too soon. Lux's spell probably wouldn't have lasted much longer.
Seeing no use in stalling, she released the guards, but refused to look at any of them. She hung her head, tears of fear and grief for the life she'd certainly just lost streaming down her face, and sank to her knees to await judgement.

VOX give your opinion about AAAAALLLLLLL seraphs
we need it now
Oh, that pathetic lot? Fuck, yeah, let's bruise some egos!
Let's start at the figurative bottom. @ask-emily-em-emmy is kinda tied for the bottom of the seraphim hierarchy. She has a position, yeah, but it's one of service, beneath all the Winners, at their whims and mercy. Except, she's smart and charming and she's got the people of Heaven on her side in a way they'd never be on Sera's. I respect that she's aware of the power she wields, even if it takes a lot of pushing to get her to that point. She's kinda like Rosie and Cere, in an Overlord sense; she'll find a way to get what she wants, and everyone's gonna be willing to bend over backwards for her! 9/10, probably the best of the lot, if she ever decides to throw her weight around.
Now, the literal bottom, that's @seraphim-sarai. Stuck as an apprentice. Real shame, too; they're probably the most cutthroat in a way none of the others are. They're willing to hurt the ones they love to achieve their goals; that sort of blind Pride and ambition is something I saw a lot in... well, Val. Difference being: Sarai feels guilt. Probably the one thing that'll keep them from turning out like Val, too. Sometimes, it just takes a crumb of self-awareness. 8.5/10. Not gonna lie, though, I've been watching back some of their tapes. Bitch is living a telenovela and I am invested. Kinda rooting for Milan; I'm a sucker for the messy bitches.
There's a ton of seraphs, but which ones are interesting... ah! @seraphim-grace! Here's a bitch I wouldn't mind killing myself. While Sarai reminds me of the side of Val that made him a good Overlord, Grace reminds me of... everything else. Frankly, how anyone can find Heaven appealing knowing that she's there? Beyond fuckin' me! I will admit she's given me some interesting ideas for some horror and torture flicks we've got in production, so at least I'll profit off her. It'll pay for the therapy I'll need seeing what a chick Val is like. 2/10, how the fuck has she not been stripped down for parts?
And since the rotten apple doesn't fall far from the poisoned tree... @seraphim-adina. Honestly? I like this one. She's a lot like me: calculated, cruel, excellent at her chosen tasks... and a hopeless sap. Lucky for her, she didn't fall for a red radio bastard or get entranced by a... well... Lee was probably on the road to becoming something like Val, but steered onto a different course. 5/10. She's got a way to go before she can wield any true amount of power but she at least isn't afraid of what little power she does have.
Fuck, there's too many of these self important angels... wait, isn't there another little one... @seraphim-perach! Right, kinda peek in on her every now and again. Not much catches my eye; I think we've yet to see the juicy stuff from this one. But, for the scheming and excellent acting, I give her a solid 7/10. I see big things ahead for this one.
I'm capping it here with the top of the heap- the heap of shit. @ask-sera is the ringleader of this circus and the other seraphim's shortcomings are a direct reflect of her that she's too blind to see. Something I can admire about Charlie is that she doesn't, for a moment, misunderstand where the fuck she is. Sera's head is shoved so far up her own ass, I'm surprised she hasn't collapsed into a singularity. For someone so obsessed with purity and holiness, she's awfully blind to the dark filth surrounding her. But that's what Pride, Sloth, Wrath, and Greed can do to a person, when they refuse to acknowledge the Sin in their own heart. -10/10. If she was half the seraphim she thinks she is, she wouldn't be running a palace that harbors abusers.
Yeah, I'm a fucking Overlord in literal Hell, but even I have standards!
#ask overlord vox#vox has eyes everywhere#lutualverse#ask blog#((reminder that I love y'all's characters and how y'all play them))#((but it's Vox and he's always got an angle to work))

Trespasser Pt. 18
Ataashi
Trespasser Masterpost Previous: The Darvaarad
They enter a room, and a dragon roars in the distance.
PC: Dragon’s breath is… an actual dragon?
Spearman: Teth al! Bas!
Viddasala: Inquisition! Nehraa Ataashi-asaara meravas adim kata!
Choice dependent dialogue:
Allied Qunari/Did not complete Bull’s personal quest [1]
Saved the Chargers/Did not recruit Bull [2]
1 - Allied Qunari/Did not complete Bull’s personal quest
Bull in party Viddasala: Hissrad! Now, please. Vinek kathas. Iron Bull: Understood, ma’am. Bull draws his weapon and turns on the party. Iron Bull: Change of plans. Nothing personal… bas.
Bull not in party Viddasala: Hissrad! We need you. Vinek kathas. Bull walks in. Iron Bull: Good call leaving me behind. The Viddasala asked me to lend a hand, though. Nothing personal… bas.
The party fights until all the Qunari fall.
[These banters are in order of priority: The game will try to trigger three of the lines, going from the top down. Only one of the first group will trigger before moving on to the next group. The second and third banters will pull from the second group based on party members and list priority. If Varric and/or Dorian are in the party, they will always speak twice with their lines from the third group, even if it adds a fourth line.]
Party comments:
Dorian: The Iron Bull must have been so proud of himself. “Kadan…” (Laughs bitterly.)
Dorian: So, the Iron Bull. Trust a Qunari and see where it gets you.
Varric: Still can’t believe Bull turned on us.
Cole: the Iron Bull… He was kind but always ready underneath.
Sera: Frigging Bull. Pissballs!
Vivienne: The Iron Bull’s betrayal was inevitable, dear.
Cassandra: The Iron Bull…
Blackwall: So the Bull turned.
Party comments:
Blackwall: He was honest with you from the start, I’ll give him that much.
Cassandra: I should have known. It was my duty to have known.
Vivienne (“ma’am” banter triggered ): All that time, calling me “ma’am”… clever boy.
Vivienne (Bull never called Vivienne “ma’am”): I believe that when we are done here, there will be an Exalted March on Par Vollen.
Sera: This whole time? Just… frig, frigging, lop-horned son of a pissing shit! Rrrgh!
Cole: I didn’t feel it. There wasn’t any pain.
Party comments:
Varric: He’s a better liar than I gave him credit for.
Dorian: Vishante Kaffas.
Dialogue options:
Angry (romanced): That lying asshole used me! PC: Cheating, lying, manipulative Ben-Hassrath bastard! How could he lie beside me for years, and… and… ㅤㅤ ㅤ
Sad (romanced): I loved him. PC: Everything we had, everything I thought we… Katoh. Katoh. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
Confused: I can’t believe it. PC: I still don’t understand how he could fight beside us for years, and just… ㅤㅤ ㅤ
Stoic: We deal with it later.
PC: Come on. Let’s move. [6]
2 - Saved the Chargers/Did not recruit Bull
Bull not in party/not recruited Viddasala: You have come far enough, Inquisitor. No more. [6]
Bull in party Viddasala: Hissrad! Now, please. Vinek kathas. Iron Bull: Not a chance, ma’am.
They fight the Qunari.
Party comments:
Dorian/Bull romance Dorian: Are you all right? Iron Bull: Never better, kadan. Dorian: Glad to hear it… amatus. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
Dorian: Are you all right, Bull?
Varric: You okay, Tiny?
Cole: Words like a whip. An old name burns like a broken dreadnaught. The Iron Bull, you’re hurt.
Sera: Bull, you good? I mean, I can see how what’s-her-name could get in someone’s head.
Vivienne: No regrets at turning your back on your people, Iron Bull?
Cassandra: Bull, what you did cannot have been easy.
Blackwall: For a moment there, Bull, I thought you were going to turn on us. You all right?
Iron Bull: The Iron Bull is just fine. When this is over, drinks are on me. Probably a lot of ‘em.
Romanced Iron Bull: You ready to finish this, kadan?
General: Ohhhhh, yes. [3]
General: If you’re here. [4]
General: Readier than you are! [5]
3 - General: Ohhhhh, yes. PC: Let’s go kick the Viddasala’s ass. Iron Bull: Damn right. [6]
4 - General: If you’re here. PC: As long as you’re by my side. Iron Bull: Always. [6]
5 - General: Readier than you are! PC: Just try to keep up, darling. Iron Bull: (Laughs.) [6]
Not romanced Iron Bull: All right, break time’s over. Let’s do this. [6]
6 - Scene continues.
The PC looks around and finds a note tacked up nearby.
Portions of this are in indecipherable Qunlat, with what might be formulas in an unfamiliar number system. One section has been translated for viddathari workers in the factory, then circled, repeatedly underlined, with arrows drawn around it by someone who was clearly very insistent that it be read: ㅤㅤ ㅤ For primers, combine NO MORE THAN ONE PART Ataashi venom with an equal amount of deathroot auxin and THREE PARTS powdered silverite. Adding more venom WILL DISSOLVE THE CASING ON THE PRIMERS HERE IN THE FACTORY AND FILL THE ROOM WITH DEADLY GAS. Whoever keeps getting the formula wrong needs to see me immediately! We have a great many primers to make on a tight schedule and cannot afford any more delays due to mistakes!
They continue through the gaatlok factory until they find the dragon in the venom extraction chamber.
Party comments:
Iron Bull: So boss, we gonna fight the dragon or what?
Blackwall: This monster is too dangerous. We can’t let the Qunari keep it.
Vivienne: If this creature is as vital to the Qunari operation as it looks, we should destroy it at once, dear.
Dorian: The Qunari obviously need the dragon’s venom. No dragon, no more plan.
PC: We can’t leave the dragon here. Whatever they’re using it for can’t be good for us.
Party comments:
Cassandra: Her captors have already mutilated her. It seems needlessly cruel to kill her.
Cole: She’s scared. She doesn’t want to be here. They hurt her.
Sera: They pulled so much… life or something out of her. That’s not… Ugh! How’d they ruin fighting a dragon?
Varric: This dragon’s in bad shape. Seems like kicking a wounded puppy. You know, the giant fire-breathing kind.
The PC moves near the gate cranks.
Blackwall: Over there! I think that wheel opens the gate!
Cassandra: That wheel should open up the main gate!
Iron Bull: The controls for these gates are over there, boss!
They begin to open the gate.
Cole: Yes! We're helping her!
Dorian: You've got it! It's opening!
Sera: The doors are opening! Keep doing the thing!
Vivienne: That's it, darling! Keep going!
The Viddasala calls in more reinforcements.
Viddasala: Ataashi itwa—karasaam!
Sera (married): If that bint ruins my honeymoon, I will wear her Qun for a boot! Let's wrap it up, love!
Sera (romanced): She's next, right? Because you, her, and a dragon in one day? Otter's frigging pocket!
Sera (not-romanced): Why do the pretty ones have to run their mouths! Dragon first, then right up her business!
The Viddasala shouts through the fight.
Viddasala: This is the honor of the Inquisition? Attacking an innocent creature?
Viddasala: We will not let you cut down the ataashi!
Viddasala: Parshaara!
Viddasala: Meravas adim kata!
The PC opens the gate before opening the barriers.
Blackwall: The gate is ready! Now we have to clear a path!
Cassandra: The gate is open! Now we move the rings!
Iron Bull: Halfway there, boss! We've got the gate. Let's open the barriers!
The PC starts to turn the barriers.
Vivienne: Turn the rings! Those barriers are holding the dragon!
Dorian: If we move those rings, we can clear a path for the dragon!
Varric: If we can move these rings, we can let the dragon loose!
The dragon gets damaged as the PC moves the barriers.
Vivienne: The barriers are killing it!
Dorian: If we're trying to kill the monster, that certainly works.
The barriers get blocked by debris.
Blackwall: It's stuck on something!
Cassandra: The barrier is blocked! It cannot move!
Iron Bull: There's a bunch of crap stopping it from moving, boss!
The PC sets the barriers but the gate is closed.
PC: The barriers are set. Now we just need to open the gate!
The PC opens the gates and the barriers are open. The dragon flies off, taking a Qunari with it.
Cole: She’s free! She’s leaving!
Sera: Oh, this will be legend!
Iron Bull: That's it! There goes our dragon!
Next: Agent of Fen’Harel

Has anyone (including me) pointed out that the two known fallen angels (Lucifer and Vaggie) were forced out of Heaven, which indicates that angels can't spontaneously fall and have to be physically removed from Heaven?
In Lucifer's case, he was kicked out because he gave the Fruit of Knowledge to Eve. He isn't mentioned to have simply fallen, he was physically kicked out of Heaven. The visuals at the start of More Than Anything also support this, if you want to make the argument that the prologue bit in Overture is unreliable for any reason.
In Vaggie's case, she was attacked by Lute and forcibly had her halo and wings taken from her (as you can actually see Lute toss Vaggie's halo to Adam as they walk away in that flashback in Welcome to Heaven). Without her wings, she wouldn't have been able to get back into Heaven and was forced to stay in Hell.
This adds an extra layer to Sera telling Emily she doesn't want her to end up like Lucifer. Sera would have to physically kick her out of Heaven, she's not going to fall spontaneously because from what we've seen and as far as we know, angels can't fall spontaneously.
We also know Sera is the top seraph (going by both what we've seen in Hazbin Hotel and by biblical canon, as it wouldn't be a stretch to assume Sera is Hazbin Hotel's version of Seraphiel) and, assuming God exists in the Hellaverse, she's the second most powerful being in Heaven (if God doesn't exist in the Hellaverse, she's probably the most powerful person in the show). It's also not a stretch to assume she wields this power by threatening anyone who questions Heaven. Sera very likely uses intimidation and fear to control Heaven, and it'd be really easy to threaten other angels with falling to control them.
Like genuinely I don't think angels can fall spontaneously. I feel like Adam (possibly Lute too idk) would've fallen by the start of the series if they could. I think the threat of falling spontaneously is purely made up by Sera so the other angels are easier to control. Of course, this is just a theory/headcanon. But to me, it explains so much of Sera's behavior. Why she's so controlling, why she's so afraid of Emily standing up to her. Because if Em """needs""" to fall, Sera would be the one kicking her out of Heaven, not some higher force forcing her to Hell.
#hazbin hotel#this includes the cherubim from helluva boss btw#they were absolutely forced out of heaven by deerie which is further supported by their reactions to not being able to get back to heaven#they didn't think making one mistake would result in them being kicked out of heaven which makes me think deerie is responsible for it#not the fact that they accidentally killed a human (although i wouldn't be surprised if sera was also involved so she could prove a point)#idk. i've thought about this enough for now lol

I will probably end up writing an overlord Sera fic if I ever get the time since I keep getting ideas. But I am thinking Emily sneaks out of heaven somehow and lands in hell. My guess to hid her wings she just folds them up tightly and puts a shirt on over them. She goes wandering around asking for her sister Sera whatever their last name is. Nothing too bad happens to her because she says publicly she is Sera's sister and no one wants to mess with her though some people maybe start telling other overlords that Sera's sister is in hell. Eventually she ends up among the cannibals and well being from heaven she smells tasty and the cannibals notice it and mouths watering are surrounding Emily though Roise notices somethings up and finds an adorable and scared girl asking for help and after getting the Susan and the rest to leave them alone gets the story from Emily. She decides to take Emily to Sera's personally and gives her to Sera without demanding even demanding a ransom. The vees send people to Cannibal town but they are late and get a bit eaten.
When Rosie woke up that morning, she hadn’t been expecting some doe-eyed, defenseless girl to show up in her territory, let alone one asking for Sera Espinosa by name. The girl is exhausted, and Rosie can tell she’s been through the ringer. Her once-white robes are covered in dirt, grime, and blood. Her cannibals hadn’t helped in that regard. She’d found them surrounding her, unsure if the specimen in front of them was friend or food. She looked freshly deceased, and so out of place in Hell, Rosie had been almost convinced she had a more Heavenly origin.
But she couldn’t think about that now. She’d taken the girl back to her emporium, more than a little worse for wear, and closed up shop early to give her some much-needed rest and privacy. The girl was shaking, curled up on her fluffy couch in the fetal position, knees pulled up to her chest like a child. She wasn’t a child, but those big, searching eyes looked at her, and her parlor, liked she’d walked into a place worse than Hell. Poor thing, Rosie thinks to herself, as she places a warm cup of chamomile mint tea in front of her on the coffee table. The girl doesn’t reach for it, but looks at Rosie tentatively, curiously.
“Now,” Rosie says, sitting on the couch next to the girl, putting her hand on her shoulder, but she flinches. “What did you say your name was, sweetheart?”
“Em—Emily.” She’s still shaking.
“And why are you looking for Miss Espinosa?”
“She’s my…si-sister.”
“Your sister? Sera never told me she had a sister. When did you die, honey? Do you know where you are?”
Emily doesn’t answer the first question, but she nods to answer the second.
“Okay, that’s a start,” Rosie says, patting her leg affectionately, to calm the girl’s racing heart and darting eyes. “Let me get you a blanket. You can take a nap, and then we’ll see about finding your sister.”
Emily nods, sighing heavily, and once Rosie wraps her in the warm fur, the girl is off to sleep in minutes.
Rosie has a lot of questions. But first thing’s first, she figures she’d better contact Sera directly. This can’t wait until their next overlord meeting. She’d also like to keep this recent development mum, in case the Vees catch wind of it. She can’t imagine what they’d do to poor Emily.
Rosie picks up the receiver from her rotary dial phone on the wall, and begins calling. She can’t wait to hear what Sera has to say about this.

Maybe dumb idea but Sera sees Charlie amd Vaggie being romantic and goes to tell Emily her girlfriend is cheating on her only to be told that the 3 are dating. This probably and nicer more supportive Sera than normal I also like to imagine her thinking she had 2 girlfriends and I have no one.
nah, no idea is dumb, my dear!
and yeah, if Sera was more open-minded it would probably work like that. She would give Emily pep talk about relationships and God etc, and then next week she sees Charlie with Vaggie holding hands.
Em would have to try to calm Sera down, because she would,,, ah, be mad, because no one cheats on Emily!
(also last sentence is such a mood sdfgh)

One Hell Of A Love (Part 2)
A/N: Welcome back! Long weekend, I know! But if you need a refresher on my upload schedule, do check my master list, as it has already been released, and stories and when I will be releasing fanfiction on who!
Once again down below is a sketch I did last week, just a quick doodle. But it's so you can just draw your OC or yourself into the picture with him. I also take commissions, I love working with people who are on a budget. I hope you guys like it!
Part 1 Part 2
Chapter 2: Once In An Afterlife 。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆ ~ Master List~ ⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
Y/N’s POV
I glanced at Sir Pentious’s sleeping form next to me and snuggled into his side. He had come in last night and complained that it was cold, I just scooted over and let him cuddle into me. I did kind of like these weird sappy moments funny enough. It would make my chest swell and I’d get giddy when he did things like this. We could talk about anything and I appreciated it.
It’s been a month, but there was no sign of him moving out. I don’t want him to either, though it is up to him! But I did the normal, I got up, and made drinks. He had once said he had a sweet tooth so I showed him the beauty of a Red Bull spritzer. While blending them I heard shuffling and something fell behind me, I glanced back but saw nothing. Until something grabbed me and I realized that it was just a sleepy Sir Pentious hugging me. “I missssed you, where’d you go?” he asked pouting.
“I just came out to get us drinks and some breakfast going.” I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down to hug him. I looked up at him and paused, he stared into my eyes and I blushed. I leaned closer while looking at him. We were centimeters apart and he jumped back. “You know! When I died during the battle, I had told ssomebody ssomething. I had sssaid I loved them… and then I wass dead.” I sat in confusion before I processed what he had said.
“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that you had been with someone. You’re probably waiting to see them again, aren’t you? I mean of course you were dating someone! You’re you and perfect and- I’ll shut up.” I stuttered and paused. Wow, that was smooth.
“I don’t think I have the same feelings for her that I have for you.” I stared at him and blushed.
“You think I’m perfect?” I blushed hard and nodded.
。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
“I know there is a way to stop the extermination! He may have got something good from it, but what about all the souls that didn’t?” Sera slammed the table and looked at me with a bone-chilling stare. “I don’t want to have to get rid of you, you’re Emily’s best friend. I will do what I have to, if that means you disappearing with no trace, that’s what it means.”
I glared daggers at her as the door swung open, “Whatever you say... Princess-” I hissed and I felt a hand on my shoulder. “Hey Y/N, what’s wrong?” I glanced at Em and sighed. “It’s nothing, I just was worried about the extermination. Pentious has been through a lot and- I can’t see him have to go through that again, he knows when it is and he is scared and I am upset that we would do something that could hurt-”
“That is enough! I am done with this conversation! Emily- Take you’re friend out of here… now!”
I followed Emily out the door and was met with Sir Pentious. “Hey hey hey~ what’s wrong?” He grabbed me, hugged me tight, and kissed the top of my head. “It will be okay. Charlie will take care of it even if you can’t.” I buried my face in his chest and felt tears. “I will help, I will,” I said and felt a hand on my back.
I looked at Emily and she smiled softly. “We are here for you, we will make sure this ends.”
I smiled at her and nodded.
“But like- you two… are you a thing?”
。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
(Another month later)
I woke up and put my head on Sir Pentious's shoulder, I felt his arm snake around my waist and pull me closer as he rolled to his side. “Mine.” I chuckled and nuzzled into him as he hung on to me. “This is why people think we’re a couple Pen,” I whispered against his chest.
He pulled me closer, “Not couple, just cozy.” Pentious whispered back. “Mmm but wanna kiss you, can’t we just play couple?” I whispered back jokingly, I laughed at my own nonsense and watched him pull back and look at me.
“Wasss that a joke?” he asked looking at me confused. I giggled again and nuzzled into him. “Maybe, baby. Wanna find out?” I asked giggling again. “Uhhh-”
“While you think that over, I’m gonna go grab us a coffee, I need wake-up juice and sweets.” I rolled over and sat up on my bed. I took a look around, his stuff is slowly creeping its way in here. Even his fancy headboard had replaced my old one. I added another bookshelf for his blueprints and stuff. I loved it though, made everything feel a bit more homey.
“But if I were to want a kisss, how would you feel?” Sir Pentious asked glancing at me awkwardly. I blushed and looked at him, smiling I leaned over and kissed him passionately. But I quickly pulled away and stood. He fell on the bed face first and looked up quickly. “I have to go get coffee now, I will be back in about 20.”
“Wait, Y/N!” I looked back at him. “I love you.” I blushed and smiled at him. “I love you too.” I quickly walked out of the room and house turning to go across the street where my favorite coffee shop was. I saw Em standing there waving.
“Sooo? Now are you together?” She asked handing me my coffee and a bag full of different foods. Looking through the bag I laughed. “I think, maybe we’re close. He said he loved me today… I said it back.” I said smiling and touching my lips. “I love him,” I said happily.
“I’m so excited for you! You have to keep me informed!” she squealed and clasped her hands together as I walked into the coffee shop and put in another order to get something for Sir Pentious. “I feel so lucky, he was with someone else, in Hell, ya know? He died because he loved her. What if she gets redeemed? Would he still want me?” I asked looking at Em sadly,
She placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled softly, “He won’t leave you, he is honest. The first redeemable soul. He will stick with you, I know it.” I nodded before ordering what I thought he would like best.
“Thanks, Em. Also, you didn’t have to come down here and order all this food for me.” she laughed in response, “Of course I had to! We’re celebrating! But- I know you can’t wait to go home and make things official with your new toy. So I will be going. Love ya!” She made a heart with her fingers before waving and exciting animatedly.
I laughed and grabbed the coffee and food I ordered Sir Pentious. I turned around to be met with two irritated-looking faces. “So… you and Sir Pentious huh?” Lute asked crossing her arms across her chest. I nodded and blushed. “It’s nothing official yet, we’re just talking,” I said looking between Lute and Sera.
“You know… if you were to date him, you’d have to be careful. You don’t want him to wind up in hell again.” I glared. “Don’t touch him, you can do whatever to me. But he died in an honorary way that earned him the right to be here. You do not get to take that from him because you’re mad. Adam deserved to die the way he did, he hurt so many just to get off. Sir Pentious would never-” I felt the world light up around me in a painful way. “You~Dare~Say~One~More~Thing~About~Adam~” I cried out in pain and collapsed on the floor. Blood ran from my mouth and nose as I reached up to feel it.”
“This is strike two young one, don’t make it harder on yourself than it has to be.”
。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
I limped into the house and sat the food and new drinks on the table. Sighing heavily, I sat on the couch and put my head in my arms. I could feel my eyes begin to swell but was still trying to keep my composure, or at least the little bit that there was.
“Y/N? Where have you been my love?” I heard Sir Pentious ask as he sat down next to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. I sniffled and looked up at him, “Y-Your food and coffee are on the table.”
He grabbed my face and lifted it. “Why are you crying? You have bruisess on your pretty little faccce. What happened?” I shook my head, “I just had a bad morning, but it’s okay.”
He slowly rubbed my cheek with his thumb and I leaned into it. I watched as he slowly got closer to me and sniffled. “Kiss me.” I watched the blush spread on his face as he leaned over and kissed me. I pressed into it and nuzzled against his neck after pulling apart. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. “Will you be my boyfriend now Pen?” I asked quietly.
Pentious’s breath hitched and I felt him grab me tighter. “Yesss of courssse I would want nothing more than for you to be my partner.” I smiled at him and kissed him again. “I-I know we have eternity and whatnot. I want a family and to get married. I want you, I want to know what you want from this relationship so I know you won’t regret being with me.” I watched as he stood and grabbed the cups off the table along with the bag. He handed me mine and smiled at me softly.
“I want to marry you too and have a family. After a year, we can discuss marriage. I have to properly court you first after all!” I giggled and he handed me my coffee and sat the bag between us. Slowly he opened the bag and handed me a muffin after kissing it. “Here’s my first gift.” I giggled again and rolled my eyes. “Thank you, Pen.” I said smiling at him.
“Now why do you have bruises?” he asked softly and my eyes swelled. “I- I brought up Adam’s death to Lute, told her maybe he deserved it… she wasn’t very happy,” I said.
He hissed and I jumped looking at him. “I have watched that monssster kill, I will not let her hurt you!” his eyes glowed red. “No no, calm down, it’s okay. I will be okay.” he looked at me worried but relaxed. “If I hear that she hurts you again, I will hurt her-” he hissed again.
I leaned over and kissed him softly, “I love you Pentious.”
“I love you too Y/N.” He whispered as our foreheads touched.

“When you laugh like that, it just — you’re so beautiful, you know that?” for the pairing of your choice?
Absolutely! Here's some DagnaxSera for @dadrunkwriting!
Sera was a great deal cleverer than people gave her credit for.
She was chaos incarnate and reveled in mischief, but she was thoughtful as well. Observant. She planned things, just with her own process and in her own time.
Sera was also insatiably curious, much to Dagna's delight. It was all well and good to have someone willingly be a captive audience to her academic ramblings, but Sera asked questions. Good questions. And her questions built up on her previous knowledge, grew more and more insightful the more she knew about Dagna's work. If she had the inclination and patience, Sera would probably be at Dagna's level of expertise with rune translation within the year.
Perhaps that was a little bit of an overstatement, but most people underestimated Sera. Someone ought to make up the difference.
"What's that?"
"Oh, that's an ancient rune- might have something to do with imprisoning? Not quite sure-" Dagna wiped the sweat off her brow with the back of her wrist. The runes were practically swimming in her eyes. Too much work and no breaks made her slow and tired and bad at her job, but Dagna wanted to finish translating this last rune before she retired for the night.
"Hmm. It's got those wiggly dashes like that other rune you had, Widdle," Sera grabbed the magnifying glass off the worktable and held it before the rune. "Yeah, three wiggle dashes, like tadpoles. Wasn't that a... eh... freezing symbol?"
"Suspension!" Dagna exclaimed, and at a second glance (a better glance) Dagna could confirm that Sera was right. A suspension rune, combined with what had to be time... Dagna turned the stone over in her fingers, examining the etchings with a critical eye. The translation was there on the tip of her tongue, but it was...
"Freezing time?" Dagna frowned. "That sounds ridiculous. But all things considered, it's hardly a surprise."
"Dorian does time stuff. Did? Got scared proper because of that, ummmm, thing," Sera said, and she hoisted herself up onto the workbench. "Doesn't look like any of the runes you work with, though. All... cloudy-like. Not clear at all." She wrinkled her nose, glaring at the stone as if she could unlock all its secrets with her gaze alone. Dagna beamed with delight. Sera really had been paying attention these past three months!
"An excellent observation, Sera! The stone is cloudy because the rune is... hmm... how to say this properly..."
"It's shite?"
"... it's shite. It pains me to say that about a fellow arcanist's work, especially one who was so ambitious, but... this stone is poorly crafted. Grand concept, bad foundation," Dagna sighed. "I've got a whole chest full of ancient runestones like this. Such a waste of material, and I can't fix them. All I can do is take their mistakes and learn from them." And she had learned a lot, learned what didn't work, learned what was a waste of time, learned what ancient arcanists thought was important (a steam stone was certainly... something).
"Or you can hand them to me. And I'll find a use for them colorful pebbles," Sera suggested coyly, and she curled her hand around the dead runestone. Dagna clicked her tongue and reached for the stone, but Sera stretched and kept it out of her grasp.
"Sera. Scattering useless runestones in front of the doors of visiting nobles isn't useful," Dagna scolded.
"Useful for me! Reminds them exactly what they're dealing with. Keeps 'em humble," Sera grumbled, but she returned the stone into Dagna's expectant hands. "Keeps me entertained, too."
"You know... I have some other runes that need translating. Ones that might be a little more... immediately useful." she suggested, and Sera's grin was infectious.
"What're we waitin' for, Widdle? Bring 'em out!" Sera insisted with a bright and bold laugh. magnifying glass in hand and a wild light in her eyes. Dagna smiled and pulled a small jewelry chest out from underneath the workbench.
When you laugh like that, it just— you’re so beautiful, you know that?” Dagna said when she emerged and set the box on the bench. Sera rummaged through the runes like a magpie, nimble fingers plucking every stone that caught her fancy and her eyes darting this way and that. Dagna loved watching her twist and turn new ideas, loved trying to guess what Sera would work out on her own when she picked at a new problem to unravel. As she sorted through the items Sera giggled.
“Oooo, flattery! You always know how to butter me up,” Sera coyly said. “What do you think would happen if we combined one of ‘em time runes that worked proper like with some ice? Make a insta-frozen puddle in the dining hall during one o’ them big affairs, hmm?”
People really underestimated Sera, but that was to their detriment, Dagna thought as she watched Sera pick through the finished runes and analyze them with the air of a true professional. But Dagna knew the truth, and that warmed her to her very toes.

Hello, I hope you are doing well!!
I found “Our Voyage Home” the other day and have absolutely burned through it. I actually just finished the last posted chapter from April! I was wondering if you plan on continuing? I am head over heels for your writing and am about to dive headfirst into all of your works, on ao3 and tumblr both, but have grown to adore Sera and her story. PLEASE continue writing it- it’s probably one of the best ASOIAF fics Ive ever read (I’ve easily read a hundred or more, unsure on how many though)!!!! You write the Hound so freaking well and your OCs are absolutely top tier. Your writing in general is gorgeous but I could go on and on about how amazing the series is so far. Again, please please PLEASE continue it!! You’re amazing!
Thank you! ✨I am delighted you've liked the story so far. It is my intent and goal to finish the story. There is madness, twists and turns ahead. I just need to fucking write 'em. I am in a long-drawn funk, but I ain't abandoning that series until the end, maybe if the apocalypse happened and probably if I ended up dying.

(After Here Lies the Abyss)
Solas: Cyrus, have you been sleeping well as of late?
Cyrus: Yes. Why do you ask?
Solas: I had thought to visit you in your dreams, as I have previously done with Gwendolyn. You are no mage, nor do you possess the Anchor to tie you to the Fade, but you have spent your whole life surrounded by magic. I assumed it would be easy to locate you. When I did not, I wondered if something else might have been keeping your mind from the Fade. The stress of becoming Inquisitor, perhaps.
(if Varric is in the party)
Varric: Nope. He sleeps like a baby every time. Practically the healthiest thing about him.
(otherwise)
Cyrus: It's kind of funny. Despite everything, getting a good night's rest has always been easy for me.
Solas: And your dreams have been good as well?
Cyrus: That I'm less sure about. I never remember my dreams.
Solas: Never?
Cyrus: Not since I was a child, I think. Perhaps they're all just really boring. I'm not a mage, after all.
Solas: Yet you are still an elf. You still connect with the Fade when you sleep, however distantly. You should retain some faint impression of those visits... Curious.
--
(After Return to Kirkwall)
Cyrus: Solas, I thought you should know, when I said I don't remember my dreams, that wasn't strictly true. They were more vivid after Adamant. Still... distant, but I would wake up with these lingering feelings. A vague notion that I was being chased, or some dull sense of comfort.
Solas: It stands to reason that our physical trip through the Fade strengthened your connection to it, though what could have weakened that connection in the first place is still a mystery to me.
Cyrus: That's actually why I bring it up again. They, um... It's probably unrelated, but it stopped again after visiting Kirkwall.
Solas: That's... Hm. I'm not sure what to make of that, actually. Magical phenomena in places where the Veil is thin are one thing, but to elicit such an acute yet pronounced effect... I'll have to think on this more.
--
Cyrus: You know, Merrill has studied my... situation, if you want to compare notes with her.
Solas: I have seen Merrill's 'notes' before. Factual inaccuracies and wild speculation aside, I don't have much use for deciphering page after page of doodles to eventually reach some small, genuine insight.
Cyrus: (irritated) Next time, just say 'no, I'd rather not' instead of insulting ma kitleth.
(if Sera is in the party)
Sera: Plus, her drawings make way more sense than any of your scribblings.
Solas: Come again?
Sera: Your stuff is all blah blah blah, magic this, Fade that, theoretical techniques for the primal manipulation of your mother's arse. Daisy's stuff fits, all the right lines in all the right places. You just gotta squint a bit.
Cyrus: You've... read Merrill's notes?
Sera: Skimmed 'em a couple of times. Gotta know the best place to put the dick drawings!
#cyrus hawke#heroes and songs au#e l v e s#the dick drawings are in fact of profound arcane significance#fake banter machine goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

B, D, I and T for ocs of your choice?
Thanks for the slutty asks ❤️
B - Body Part (Their favorite body part of theirs and also their partners)
Lily - she’s pretty proud of her eyes, they’re one of the few obviously Andali features she inherited from her father, and in her world they’re considered exotic/unique.
In others - does height count? She likes ‘em tall. Otherwise, I think she’s got a particular fondness for hands. Given these vampires have that touch taboo, touching someone’s hands is a little 🔥
Mika - in himself, his ripped arms. In others, b00bs. And a sweet smile doesn’t hurt, either.
Ales - In himself: I don’t think he thinks much about his own appearance. I think he would say his eyes and his smile because he knows it’s what Kit likes. In others, he can find something to like about almost anyone (cuz he’s a ho at heart and mostly just attracted to fucked up damaged people) but I think he’s fond of the neck, for sexy vampire reasons. 😈
Kit - In herself: Uhh, hard to pick, she’s hot as fuck and she knows it. In others: She’s demisexual, so appearance matters less to her than emotional connection. That being said she’s very fond of Ales’s eyes and smile. Probably because she never smiles herself
D - Dirty Secret (Pretty self-explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Lily - her love of smutty novels and rapidly growing collection
Mika - he wants Seras to break him in half
Ales - this man has so many secrets, I don’t even know where to start.
Kit - degradation kink, but only with Ales, and he is extremely confused by it
I - Intimacy (How are they during the moment? The romantic aspect.)
Lily - bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s sweet, giggly, cuddly
Mika - chivalrous gentleman, but can’t help letting his horndog side out the minute he thinks he could get away with it
Ales - 100% die-hard romantic, and very, very smooth. His mind-reading ability makes it very easy to know exactly what his partner wants to hear, so he always knows the right thing to say.
Kit - demure, coy. She teases, and tests, and wants to be impressed. If you manage it, she’ll melt in your hands.
T - Toys (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
Lily - maybe not yet, but she’s open to them. 👀 she already knows she likes light choking and bondage. Y’all know them sheltered, repressed girls always end up the freakiest
Mika - I mean I haven’t thought about it much but I think this man secretly wants to get pegged so yeah I think he’s got some toys
Ales - 100% has them and uses them on his partner, he’s a pleaser and he’ll try anything once as long as it’s not illegal. I don’t think he’d do anything involving pain though, outside of biting he’s pretty averse to it.
Kit - well, she’s married to Ales, so…

I want to scream into the void about the leaks just to get it out of my system, so if you’re afraid of spoilers (assuming it’s all legit and they don’t change things after this) please read no further! It’s also just long, so that could be a deterrent too.
Spoilers below! You have been warned!
First things first, the big one: Rosie.
Honestly, this grew on me.
I saw someone say they thought she owned his soul a while back on Reddit, but it always seemed a bit tinfoil-hatty to me, so I kind of disregarded it. However, I’m kind of here for it now?
The implication seems to be that she’s MUCH more powerful than we initially expected, and Alastor evidently made a deal with her while he was alive. Ironically, I did predict that, almost down to the letter, so I’m not completely off-base! Also I love human Alastor’s stupid mustache.
This new element honestly makes their interactions and relationship so much more interesting to me. While I always liked Rosie, I never agreed with the common interpretation of their relationship as “sugary cannibal besties/QPR” - I always got the impression they enjoy each other’s company, but would sell one another out for one corn chip à la Varys and Littlefinger from Game of Thrones, which is a dynamic I personally find more engaging. I won’t go into my full issue with fanon, but suffice it to say it was kind of hard to enjoy her as a character in the fandom when her entire personality was centered around another character who I don’t particularly like (sorry). Now I’m curious, though! How did she make Alastor the most powerful sinner in Hell? How did she make deals with the living in the first place? Just how powerful is she? Why didn’t she help out with Adam if she’s that strong? Is she actually who she says she is? What does he owe her? Why is he so friendly with her when the finale implied he hates whoever holds his leash? Is she part of the reason he always smiles? Could she be part of the reason he and Vox hate each other? What could it mean that she’s so friendly with Charlie? I’m honestly more intrigued now than I was before I saw the leaks!
Next, the Sir Pentious stuff. Yeah, I don’t think there were any surprises there. I had a different theory for how he ended up in Hell, but that’s a small thing. I can’t blame him for not liking Heaven lmao. I’m also glad to see Abel, I had a lot of questions about Adam’s children. I hope we see Cain too.
I do like the direction they seem to be taking Sera in - I never saw her as evil, just foolish and arrogant, and I think her trying to redeem herself for allowing the exterminations will be interesting.
Lute is the one to watch out for, definitely. She’s not coping well, is hallucinating Adam, and wants revenge. In her song, she sings about “take the one you need, make you watch ‘em bleed, will you break thinking how you couldn’t save her” and “wishing you were there when they needed you, the only soul who’s ever completed you.” I’d say this implies she’s going to harm someone Charlie cares about as vengeance for Adam. Since it’s a “her,” I assume she’s singing about killing either Vaggie or Lilith - Lilith might be more likely simply because she’s the one Lute has access to, but it could very easily be Vaggie (I hope it is ngl, I want to watch Charlie go apeshit to protect her).
We didn’t see much of the Vees - nothing of Valentino, and only small clips of Vox and Velvette, which is both relieving and disappointing. I really hope Velvette gets more to do, but it was kind of amusing to watch her bully Charlie ngl.
The RadioStatic fallout is probably the most interesting mystery in the show at the moment to me, so I’m glad it didn’t get spoiled. We did see that Vox is going to be propagandizing against the hotel - no surprise there - and that he’s apparently going to tie Alastor up at one point, but there’s not much to go on. I have some ways I hope this doesn’t go (ISTG if it ends with Vox trying to sexually assault him…) but I have faith it’ll be good.
*Puts on tinfoil hat*
I’m really curious as to whether the Rosie thing played a role in their relationship falling apart. It’s clear Alastor resents Rosie, and part of the reason is that she’s apparently the one who forced him to vanish, which means he’s lost a lot of his foothold, and I’m guessing that wasn’t the first time she’s forced him into a situation he was mad about. Maybe she didn’t want her “pet” pulling on the leash by befriending other overlords, or maybe she just wanted Vox dead and Alastor pushed him away to protect him, or maybe she liked Vox and tried to force Alastor to join with him (I am cooking my own brain as I type). Vox talks a bit about Lilith in one clip - maybe the overlords were helping her gather power and that’s why heaven is so freaked out about sinners, and Rosie was trying to protect Alastor by forcing his head down! So many possibilities!
I also have a sneaking suspicion that “Rosie” is actually Eve or someone similar, just based on how powerful she seems to be. The overlords are strong, but if she really made Alastor into the most powerful sinner in Hell, she has to be at least on the level of the Goetia… right? She’s definitely got a lot more going on than it seemed coming out of season one, and I love that for her (god forbid women have hobbies).
*Removes tinfoil hat*
I needed to get that off my chest. If anyone read it all, thank you. Speculating is a lot of fun - I just wish it was possible to do so without spreading spoilers!
