#sera best girl???

so i just started the demo of a lil dating sim called “Wholesome Monster Girl Academia”. The concept has been really interesting! Like a visual novel marketed towards Christians/catholics or to non believers interested in learning more about the faith is actually a pretty good idea and is set in a private catholic residential school??? Like I haven’t heard of that before /srs. at first, I thought the game would be, y’know, not wholesome like as in a suggestive vn but with some digging, it was actually carrying Christian themes to it??? Now as a Christian (I don’t align myself with any denominations of the Christian faiths. Orthodox, Roman, Anglican, etc) I find myself relating to the MC, Gabriel, a ton. His relationship with the faith somewhat closely mirrors mine. context: the mc is a Roman Catholic but doesn’t believe that he has a close relationship to God. So the MC is kinda self inserty for me, which I guess makes me more immersed into the setting of the game??? But I also want the MC to be a character of his own, not just a clean slate for the player to project themselves into. Now, enough about me, you guys don’t come here to read about me, u guys r here for the game. The love interests are the generic archetypes, the preppy girl, sera, the tomboy, wren, the tsundere, the clever one, clover, and the rebellious one. I honestly forgot their names except for clover, sera, and wren :P. Now. They ain’t humans, they’re monster girls. That’s their appeal. Clover is a slime girl, sera is a harpy, wren is a Dragonborn but with more human characteristics, the tsundere is a succubus (in the game, succubi and incubi aren’t related to demons as demons are only spiritual while the former are physical) and true rebellious one is a day walker. (A vampire and human hybrid). They’re all very pretty but my favorite is stuck between sera and clover. If you wanna check it out, a demo’s out on steam and itch.io. BTW, I might start posting more about this game. It’s very promising then again, the only visual novels I’ve played are our life: beginnings and always and it’s demo sequel, our life: now and forever.

I was rotating Sera/Dagna around in my head like a kebab because what do they even talk about? One hates magic and the other is probably the biggest possible nerd about magic ever. How did that start? But then, oh, un-elfy elf x un-dwarfy dwarf, family rejection issues, lesbians whose communities would expect them to have arranged marriages (Dagna mentions this in Orzammar in DAO if you talk to her father, Sera would know the Alienage has this tradition and maybe she saw it around Emmald who was wealthy), some neurodivergence, talented in their own ways but they look "crazy" to everyone else, some trauma at having to stake it out on their own with basically no support. Okay. OKAY. I get it now.

Despite my love for the games I never got too deep into the Dragon Age fandom. Especially when I was playing Inquisition and learned how hated Sera was in the fandom. Might've changed now, but I remember I couldn't look up anything Inquisition related without seeing hate for her character.

In the same vein: how does Integra add enrichment to Laura's proverbial enclosure on the Hellsing estate?

Laura loves books, usually about psychology and philosophy. She enjoys gothic novels, and visiting art galleries and historical sites. Movies are also new to her, so she is pretty invested.

Integra lets Laura roam around the property, and sometimes allows her to go explore the city after ensuring she won’t eat a civilian. There can be dummies and other stuff for Laura to destroy if she gets too rowdy.

An absolute queen who is a mercenary duelist/hacker for hire and makes lots of money off of it by digging up data and secret information in Vrains and making bargains/profits off of them, her archetype “Altergeist” is wicked cool and super strong! She owns a motorcycle. She’s playful, smart, and skilled. Helped the protagonists and the other main characters big time with her skills and tech providing them with the information needed to get them into areas they can’t reach or warning the protagonist of a card he needs to keep an eye out for that helped him with his duel against the antagonist. very hot hacker, also rides a motorcycle and flusters all genders
