#sera best girl???

seems promising + infodump (tw: mentions of religion! so if you have trauma relating to the Christian/Catholic faith, proceed with caution!!)

so i just started the demo of a lil dating sim called “Wholesome Monster Girl Academia”. The concept has been really interesting! Like a visual novel marketed towards Christians/catholics or to non believers interested in learning more about the faith is actually a pretty good idea and is set in a private catholic residential school??? Like I haven’t heard of that before /srs. at first, I thought the game would be, y’know, not wholesome like as in a suggestive vn but with some digging, it was actually carrying Christian themes to it??? Now as a Christian (I don’t align myself with any denominations of the Christian faiths. Orthodox, Roman, Anglican, etc) I find myself relating to the MC, Gabriel, a ton. His relationship with the faith somewhat closely mirrors mine. context: the mc is a Roman Catholic but doesn’t believe that he has a close relationship to God. So the MC is kinda self inserty for me, which I guess makes me more immersed into the setting of the game??? But I also want the MC to be a character of his own, not just a clean slate for the player to project themselves into. Now, enough about me, you guys don’t come here to read about me, u guys r here for the game. The love interests are the generic archetypes, the preppy girl, sera, the tomboy, wren, the tsundere, the clever one, clover, and the rebellious one. I honestly forgot their names except for clover, sera, and wren :P. Now. They ain’t humans, they’re monster girls. That’s their appeal. Clover is a slime girl, sera is a harpy, wren is a Dragonborn but with more human characteristics, the tsundere is a succubus (in the game, succubi and incubi aren’t related to demons as demons are only spiritual while the former are physical) and true rebellious one is a day walker. (A vampire and human hybrid). They’re all very pretty but my favorite is stuck between sera and clover. If you wanna check it out, a demo’s out on steam and itch.io. BTW, I might start posting more about this game. It’s very promising then again, the only visual novels I’ve played are our life: beginnings and always and it’s demo sequel, our life: now and forever.

In the same vein: how does Integra add enrichment to Laura's proverbial enclosure on the Hellsing estate?

Laura loves books, usually about psychology and philosophy. She enjoys gothic novels, and visiting art galleries and historical sites. Movies are also new to her, so she is pretty invested.

Integra lets Laura roam around the property, and sometimes allows her to go explore the city after ensuring she won’t eat a civilian. There can be dummies and other stuff for Laura to destroy if she gets too rowdy.

Can we talk about how much sweetie Adam LOVES to manhandle women???

Like in almost every scene he is in, he can't interact with a woman without A. Mocking her B. Touching her C. Find something hot to sexualize about the woman he's speaking to D. Blatantly not listening to her, or just waiting for the women to stop talking... And he likes to get all up in their personal space too!!!!!

The only girl he doesn't do that with is Lute and (Fucking obviously SERA) and he still mocks Lute or barely listens to her THE FEW times she speaks....... He constantly leans down while speaking to 'em,

and finds it clearly funny or exhilarating when they're in distress. It's literally amazing to me that he knows how much bigger and stronger he is, so he constantly makes it clear in his body language EVERYTIME he gets the chance to. He's literally one of the most expressive characters, like you can UNDERSTAND SO MUCH ABT THIS MAN JUST BY HOW HE MOVES AND LOOKS AT PEOPLE. IT MAKES IT SO CLEAR HOW THE WHOLE THING ABOUT WANTING DOMINANCE SINCE THE TIME HE WAS CREATED COMES TO PLAY HERE... And HOLY SHIT THATS JUST TALKING ABOUT BODY LANGUAGE. Look at how often he grabs their faces too to redirect their attention to him whenever he's about to say something they won't like!!!

11. is your muse quick thinking? are they able to focus when stressed?

It depends a lot on the situation and timing, as Sera is good at thinking quick on her feet, but vastly prefers having a chance to stop and reason things out over that. If the situation calls for it, she can think incredibly fast; there’s times she has no choice, and having been on her own for the better part of her life, it’s been a nessecary skill she’s needed to learn to stay alive. Protecting herself and others means thinking fast and trusting her gut and judgement, and while it’s not always the right answer, it’s one she can run with in the moment regardless, showing itself the most in her fighting skills and her ability to stay on her toes and quickly keep everyone around her safe, including finding cover and places to hide.

Despite being able to, however, Sera would much rather having to not ‘think fast’ and prefers to sit and think things out. Impulses and quick thinking can get a person into trouble even when the intentions are good, she knows, and she values having even just a few minutes to sit down and reason out what to do next, to clear her mind and focus on what she needs to. This is part of what makes her the strategist between herself and Zack, both for work and life itself; she has no issue with sitting and slowly mapping out what comes next and how to handle it, taking every possibility and outcome she can into account before making her next step. it’s the safest way to handle things, in her eyes, and help to avoid problems along the way.

As for thinking when stressed... That’s a big fat NOPE! She’s someone who can easily get overwhelmed by her emotions and is only just now learning how to handle things like stress and trauma, and isn’t fully in control of her emotions even despite that when they get to be far too strong. Something like stress is difficult for her to keep under wraps, and without help from her family and friends picking up on it, it can easily spiral out of control right alongside fear and her trauma. Even at a more minimal point, her thinking is clouded by what ifs and plagued with but’s, and unless that can be caught and adjusted, it leads down the road of worse thoughts and eventually a panic attack if it can’t be reigned in in time. Focus in not a thing, and she’s prone to darting between topics, trying to find her lost trains of thought and pick them up again, just to find her hands full of ‘thought threads’ far too tangled for her to figure out and too overwhelmed to handle it.

She’s learning, slowly, how to handle things, but while she’s doing far better after having Shayan, she’s a work in progress - Imperfect, but doing her best. <3
