yeah! the last wip is just a study but the first two have to do with a canon divergence idea for por based mostly on the fact that im sad there was no ashnard soren interaction in por, and also the potential for more angst i guess. i wouldnt want them to give the plot twist away but it would have been cool if they had some kind of boss convo (maybe it hadnt quite been planned out at the time but i feel like they the idea was there).

Anyways, so the basic idea is that soren would be kidnapped and brought to the crimean capital motivated by izuka’s interest in experimenting on branded. there are rumors that a branded is among the crimean army and a) nasir is already blackmailed into being their spy and can confirm this (and that its soren) and b) soren would be a good person to remove from the crimean army because of how successful his tactics are etc. Nasir ends up facilitating both the retrieval of lehran’s medallion and soren (big sorry nasir). once hes presented in front of ashnard, he recognizes soren as his bastard child and decides to fuck with him by telling soren he’s his dad. and decides he could maybe use him for a while to see if he was wrong in deeming soren useless when he was born. more of a morbid curiosity thing. so soren has the option of either providing tactical information and assistance to daein or immediately getting sent to gritnea tower. Soren chooses to provide information and tries to believably give wrong info while also figuring out a way to escape. if youve ever read this fic called “The Universe In Your Arms” its honestly kinda like the situation in that. Ashnard decides he’s still unimpressed with him and is more interested in seeing what the feral drug does and drops the pretense. Soren gets sent to the tower, bad drug shit happens, and eventually ike and everyone arrives at the tower. ike finds him in that horrific dungeon and soren tries to attack him but its good because reyson can fix him.

3. School of Rock - Jack black is the fun uncle/older brother I never had and they way he is such a good and fun caregiver to those kids in this movie makes me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME and bonus points for all the rock music ;u;

4. SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD - I have seen this movie 13 mothafuckin times in the 8 years I've known about it I have a PROBLEM ok I just love Ramona and Kim so much ;∆; and I really relate to Scott except if I had to fight 7 evil exes I would simple perish at ex #1 bc I am a noodle but alas,, quite literal girl of my dreams WHERE ARE U ;;0;;

5. The Goonies - ok so I know a lot of it didnt age well being from the 80s and all but there's just something so nostalgic about kids going on a pirate adventure so their parents can afford their house and don't have to move,, I wish I could go on a pirate adventure and bond with a one eyed skeleton ;u; maybe minus the blender hand scene tho... 0.0

6. Perks of Being a Wallflower - this one is less of a comfort movie and more of an all time fave just cuz it makes me ugly cry for the entire film without fail every single time ;;u;; but its super great for when u wanna let out a good cry and remember high school and feel mothafuckin INFINITE god I should have made that my senior quote WHAT WAS I THINKING

7. I literally cannot choose between all the ghibli films so imma just say all of them ehhehe but top three are Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo <3 call me a dirty cheater for putting three in one spot are if I care >w<

Brady for the FE Compendium! Even though this took a lot of effort and I have stiff neck now, I’m really happy I got to draw him. Hope it didn’t come out too bad.

Try to change my mind about FE characters: Wrap-Up

Finally had the time to read all the things I was recommended and give a better response.

Rutger:  I had only ever seen his Clairne support and that combined with his recruitment in general gave me the impression that hes the just a basic edgelord.  Hes still way too edgy for my liking but I did appreciate some of his supports, especially with Dayan and Dieck, so I can safely say hes moved up to neutral in my esteem.  Thanks to the helpful anon who pointed all this out to me!

Subaki: The Mozu support was a pretty good recommendation (Mozu just brings out the best in every character, I think.)  I still dont love the guy but I dont dislike him.  Im firmly neutral now.  Thanks @loyal-to-the-end for the recommendations.

Colm: @celerity910 made a good point about him being a product of his time and I can appreciate that, and @for-nohr made a very good point about his mullet.  I appreciate the new perspectives on the character but it wasnt quite enough to make me like him.  I appreciate the responses in any case. 

Erk: Everyone yelled at me about his support with Nino.  It was very good.  Hes fine I guess.  Whatever. Thanks all.

Blazing Sword Karel: I am grateful for @loyal-to-the-end comment on Karel but what really got me thinking was reading Rutger’s support with Karel and how Rutger is kind of similar to Blazing Sword Karel.  That connection seems to give a stronger notion that one day Rutger will find the peace that Karel found.  So I may still kind of dislike Blazing Sword Karel but he improves another character by existing so I can appreciate that at least.

Henry: I really appreciate @sepia-schattentau‘s big write up as well as the comments from @mahnati and @imgayforshiek.  I didnt notice until you all pointed out but he really does seem to be a pretty nice dad, which is really sweet.  I’m not sure about everything else, though.  I dont know, I’ll use him the next few times I play the Awakening and see how I feel.  You’ve got me waffling, which is great, so just give me some time.

Azama/Jakob/Izana: Not gonna tag the folks who sent in stuff about either of them because I dont feel any differently than before and I hate bearing bad news.  I do think I have a pretty good grasp of the characters and why they do what they do but I just dont like them all that much.  I will say that they are pretty consistently written with clear ideas in mind, which is always appreciated in a game with so much text (well, not all that much in the case of Izana but you know what I mean.)

Cordelia: @demoiselledefortune with the write up and @rapididous with the support recommendations.  Oh, Cordelia.  I cant fault her design, its very pretty.  That her whole squad bullied her and then died for her is a VERY compelling backstory, it could shape any character in a lot of interesting ways and for her in particular you can feel the weight of guilt and responsibility in a lot of supports.  Ive always thought so.  But the Chrom stuff, man.  Its so hard for me to ignore and its so awful for her character imo.  Next playthrough I will try to focus on the conflicted perfectionist Cordelia that you all appreciate and ignore the Chrom obsessed one that I cant stand (a comprehensive list of support chains where Chrom is never mentioned or implied would be very helpful if such a thing exists.  I guess its not the worst thing in the world if its a chain where its briefly mentioned but they quickly move past it either.)  I’m willing to give her another shot for sure, so thank you very much for taking the time to write to me.

Once again, I really appreciate all the feedback, as I said before I dont like disliking characters and I always want to like them so that you took the time to write to me means a lot.  This was a ton of fun and I look forward to doing this or something like it again!

“The "Sepia" derives from a book series I once read. There was a side character named "Sepia" and I liked the name. Since then I always try to use it as a name in internet. The "Schattentau" is German. "Schatten" means "shadow". "Tau"... uh... I have to look that one up. ..."dew"? Could that be right? Whatever, this is... from a book series too. This one. The characters all have these names that are put together from two different words. And I've been a fan of the series for a long time. And even though I stopped reading them I still use the names I created.”

About two weeks ago, I think? As for my reasons: I was told something horrible. Really horrible.

Not really, but I won’t ever change it. It may never be pretty, no matter if I try, but it’s mostly readable.

I’m a vegetarian.

Nope.

Oof I never even realized the irony. Though now I wonder if the whole group would still forgive him in the end like they did with just the medallion (at least from what I remember), or if the Soren situation would be a bit too much. I doubt Soren would ever want to see him again.

yeah that would be my RIP nasir. ike was already fucking pissed after nasir saved ena and ike realized he was the spy. hes going to at least get a punch in the face and oh shit he’d super piss off the other laguz, especially the gallians. Ike does come back to talk to him if he defeats the black knight and at least understood that he was doing everything for ena but man i dont think that could play out int these circumstances. maybe itd just have to go the ike lose route and have nasir get buried in the castle
