Things that actually happened throughout the Kingdom Hearts Franchise

Maleficent led a coalition of various Disney villains to conquer the worlds. Sora defeats half of them without ever learning they're working with her.

There was a big mystery about a door that no one knew how to open. 15 real-world years later, we find out it's a push door.

Jack Skellington tried to teach the Heartless to dance and almost succeeded.

There's a giant whale floating through space and it eats Sora's ship at one point.

Ariel knows how to craft magic potions and uses those to help you fight the Heartless.

The Tarzan world got decanonized so hard that there's a canon excuse to why no one mentions or remembers it.

The Olympus Titans have been free for several games but mostly just hung out in the coliseum.

Maleficent may or may not have tried to recruit the Cheshire Cat to her coalition.

Chernabog just appears as a boss and no one ever comments on it to the point that it's not even in the in-game synopsis.

Sora accidentally absorbs Kairi's heart inside his body. Later games reveal Sora has done this with several people.

At one point, there's a faction war within the Big bad's organization. One member of the traitor faction turns out to be actually be a member of the loyalist faction. But then he kills the leader of the loyalist faction because he was actually working for a secret second traitor faction.

When the big bad rebuilds his organization, he re-recruits the leaders from both traitor factions and passes on recruiting anyone from the loyalist faction.

Roxas accidentally completes an entire hero apprenticeship under Phil because Phil never bothered to look at Roxas and confirm he was the new student Hercules had recommended to him.

The underworld in Hercules and Farplain from Final Fantasy X are linked somehow because Hades managed to summon a character who dies in FFX from one of the underworld's prisons.

Ursula comes back from the dead twice with no explanation.

Maleficent once tried to turn Santa Claus into a Heartless. The plan failed because she hated the guy she was working with so much that she just left.

Time travel exists and there are set rules about the requirements to use it, the restrictions on where you can go, and what you can and cannot alter. We learn them several years after the game where Sora used time travel to save Disney Castle and he broke every single rule.

While Sora needed Merlin the Wizard to make a time portal, Pete managed to make one by getting really sad and nostalgic.

Pete got banished to another dimension because he tried to mug Minnie Mouse for artisanal ice cream.

Almost every problem encountered in Birth By Sleep is because Terra kept helping the villains.

Aqua was going to kill Cinderella's step-mother and step-sisters and the Fairy Godmother had to stop her.

Because of Sora's tendency to keep other's hearts inside himself, his body once took on the appearance of another person and gained its own separate personality from both Sora and the person it looked like.

Part of the big bad's plot to obtain Kingdom Hearts involved sending his disembodied soul back in time to give himself the power to travel forward in time.

The big bad's plot also required him to fail to obtain Kingdom Hearts four separate times.

Scar was so evil that when he died, he resurrected as a Heartless that kept his original appearance. Then his ghost continued to haunt the savanna.

Sephiroth is the physical manifestation of Cloud's darkness. Despite the implications, Sephiroth is not a Heartless. Tifa meanwhile is implied to be the manifestation of Cloud's light.

Maleficent is killed near the end of KH1. However the mobile game reveals that she actually sent herself back in time. When she comes back to life in KH2, she actually was sent back to the future.

The cursed Aztec treasure from Pirates of the Caribbean turned into a Heartless.

The big bad's organization tried to recruit Sora and Riku. When that failed, they recruited clones of them.

One member of the organization looks like an evil Sora. He is NOT the Sora clone.

Terra fused with a suit of armor out of pure hatred for the big bad.

Your player character in the mobile game dies and is reincarnated as the big bad.

One game introduces monsters called Dream Eaters. It later turns out these monsters are the souls of child soldiers who died in an ancient keyblade war.

At one point, Sora and Riku arrive in the middle of the plot of The World Ends With You.

The synopsis journal for KH1 gets erased, becomes sentient, and starts writing cryptic messages inside itself. Mickey decides the best way to figure out what is going on is to make a digital copy of the journal and have a digital copy of Sora fight the corrupted data in the journal.

I've introduced a friend of mine to KH for the first real time and they're fucking *adoring* it. Like they absorbed some through osmosis, leading to funny moments ("Oh, this is Roxas? I thought he'd be an organization guy cuz of the X") but it's been a genuine fucking blast so far

I'm 100%ing the games as she plays through them on Steam, and for the first time I've gotten the Ultima Weapon in KH1 and beat all the superbosses (Sephiroth and the Unknown are tough but like, at level 90 with Ultima they really aren't THAT hard). I've got a few more achievements before I've fully 100%'d KH1, and then I'm going to probably move on to CoM

Also, below the cut are some of the really funny things she's said/done in no particular order so far (she's halfway through her first round of BbS at the moment)

She DID cry during KH1's ending, and did get weepy at the end of KH2, but DIDN'T cry during Xion's death??? Insane to me

She has taken to calling DiZ "Delicious in Zungeon", and also calls him DiZ more than Ansem, which honestly? Fair, fuck that guy

Didn't know Pride Lands was a world and was SOOOO EXCITED for "Warrior Cats Sora". Less excited for Lion Pete

Also hates that I keep calling KH2 Pete "Pussy Zipper Pete" and said it was brave that BbS Pete didn't have his "pussy zipper" in the Captain Justice outfit

HATES 100 Acre Wood, but can't say it in chat because my partner is usually there and my partner fucking loves Pooh

Also hates Disney Town lmfao, which, warranted

They beat Kh1 Sephiroth about 6 times in a row after the first win as "a victory lap" because it was so empowering

Eventually learned to cheese CoM with Firaga/Blizzaga and plowed through Sora's side before getting to Riku's and giving up, watching the cutscenes

ALMOST 100%'d KH2, the only things she didn't do were Data Xemnas, Data Demyx, and Mushroom VIII. FUCK Mushroom 8, all my homies hate Mushroom 8

Says that BbS is her favorite game so far mostly due to Aqua, but also just all the insane lore drops.

When Aqua meets Kairi, kept going "why is that baby so kairi coded" until she said she was kairi and had to pause the game for a while

Saw the KH2 secret ending and insisted that the bald guy was "Bald Xehanort", which I gaslit her into thinking wasn't true until he reveals he's Xehanort in BbS and she yelled at me

I gaslight her a lot with these games by telling her she's 50% right with half of her predictions, and then usually telling her she's wrong when she's actually right

There was a moment in the 358 movie where she was like "Oh my god. Xion is just Namine, she's Namine trying to infiltra-" and then the scene cut to one of the only cutscenes with DiZ and Nami and was like "...oh. Well."

DID actually call that Xion was a replica about halfway through, she kept saying that they "transed Repliku's gender", though

We keep saying she's a god gamer because she clutches a lot of fights that are BIZARRE for her to clutch right away, like, she beat KH1 Ansem!Riku first try??? And keeps insisting he's not hard and I wanna beat her with hammers

Anyway she's very funny and I'll keep this post updated with achievement progress and her stupid antics as well. She hasn't clocked Vani's voice yet, so I'm REALLY excited for that drop, she's been pausing a lot in BbS to freak out

Mini Fanfic #1087: Ambushed (Super Smash Bros Ultimate X Kingdom Hearts)

5:56 p.m. Outside of Smash Mansion's Entrance......

A giant ring appears out of thin air in front of the Smash Mansion's doorway as it shows Dark Pit and Yoshi, who are both visibly injured and bruised, walking out with Kirby, Hades, and Sephiroth, with Pichu strapped onto his chest in a pouch, follows behind them as the ring goes back to it's original size.

Yoshi: Well. We just got our butts kicked out there.

Dark Pit: ('Tch') More like eviscerated. (Throws his Hands Out in Frustration) Who the hell would attack us out of NOWHERE in broad daylight like that!?

Hades: That's what ambushes would do to you, kiddos. You never know who or what would try to go out of their way to annihilate you in the worst way imaginable. (Puts on a Bit of an Evil Grin on his Face) That and how oh so easy the process in doing so truly is in concept

Kirby: (Already Has a Worried Look on his Face) Poyopoyo Poyopoyo.

Yoshi: Yeah, I still don't have a lick of clue who any of those guys were who attack us.

Sephiroth: Can't say I know for sure who the four masked figures are.....(Grabs his Chin While Thinking) But the one in the black cloak, with eye pitch does look somewhat familiar.....

Yoshi: (Turns to Sephiroth) Is he another one of your past enemies or something?

Sephiroth: Perhaps, but the memory escapes me at the moment. (Smirks a Little) But it was mild entertaining seeing him run away with his tail between his legs. (Looks Down at Pichu) Isn't that right, son?

Pichu: (Happily Nodded in Agreement) Pi Chu!~

Dark Pit: Well, whoever those bozos are, we're gonna get back at them one way or another. And we're keeping all of this to ourselves.

The boys turns around to see the Certified Moms stare and drop their shopping bags in horror, at Yoshi and Pitto's bruised state as they immediately rushes over to them.

Yoshi: (Raises an Eyebrow at Dark Pit Beside Him) You were saying?.....

Dark Pit: We uhh....(Immediately Gets Up From the Ground While Wincing Some More in Pain) Just....got into an accident is all.

Tifa: What kind of accident?

Dark Pit: We tripped. O-Off a few staircases or whatever! (Chuckles Awkwardly) Long fall too I'll tell ya what. (Quickly Nudge his Shoulder Onto Yoshi's Side)

Yoshi: (Winces a Bit in Pain Before Speaking Up) U-Uh Yeah! Yeah, it's true. The.....stairs made us trip and fall.

Sephiroth: Pichu and I saw it from our own eyes.(Closes his Eyes) It was tragic.

Pichu: (Closes his Eyes as Well) Pi.

Kirby: ('Sighs in Defeat') Poyo poyo......

Hades: ('Groans') For the love of- The boys here were ambushed earlier by a group of masked hooligans and some guy wearing an eye pitch.

Lea/Aqua: WHAT!?

Aqua: Luxu and the Foretellers did this to you!?

Dark Pit: (Slowly but Surely Turns to Hades With a Sharp Glare in his Eyes) What the HELL, HADES!?

Hades: Look, I was doing you two a favor! Besides, this is leagues better than lying to and trying to cover your wounds up at the very last second.

'GASPS'

Rosalina: (Covers her Mouth in Shock) Oh my god.......

Samus: (Glares at the Two Boys) You were about to keep this a secret from us!?

Yoshi: (Quickly Points the Blame at DP) It was his idea! I never WANTED to lie to anyone!

Dark Pit: (Turns to Yoshi Beside Him) You mother-

Yoshi: Look, I'm sorry alright! And as much as it pains me to say it, Hades is right! You and I both know that we're not any good at keeping any secrets hidden well for the life of us!

Dark Pit: I know that! I was just.....hoping it would last for....('Sigh') I dunno a few months or so?

Daisy: You were gonna to keep this from us for MONTHS!?

Dark Pit: (Turns Back to the Moms) I was thinking about it, okay!? I didn't know we were gonna get caught so soon! And maybe we would've gotten away with it if.....(Turns Right Back to.Hades With a Glare) SOMEONE didn't blurt everything out!

Hades: (Rolls his Eyes) Again, did you two a favor from making fools of yourselves, not like your already doing spendid job of doing that already.

Dark Pit: I'mma about show you who's a REAL fool in second if you don't-

Palutena: PITTO!

The loud, booming voice from the green haired goddess was more than enough to shut everyone up completely as she slowly, but very angrily approaches to her dark angel as the love of her life, Bayonetta, follows behind her, trying to calm her down but with little to no pervail.

It was no secret for Pitto that out of everyone in the Snash Family, Palutena is the last person you ever want to provoked, given that her title as goddess is not to be taken lightly by anyone. That and the powers she possesses are a lot more lethal than it ever was inside the tournament.

As the fellas, Hades especially, steps away from the potential conflict, Pitto turns away and closes his eyes expecting the worse, only to be greeted by a firm grasp on the shoulders. Once he slowly opens his eyes, he sees his mother on his knees, staring at him with tears falling down her cheeks as she tries her very hardest to keep it together, much to his genuine surprise.

Dark Pit: Mom...........

Bayonetta: (Kneels Down to Dark Pit as Well) Now Darling, why on earth would you try and keep this a secret from us?

Dark Pit: (Let's Out a Heavy Sigh Before Speaking) It was our fight. Or in our cases, an unexpected beat down...... And I just didn't want any of you to get involved or....waste your time worrying over us.

Bayonetta: And that's all well and good. But you and Yoshi know as well as I do that your mothers and I will always worry about you kids no matter what you do. And if this Luxu person really went out of his way to hurt you, then we must handle to the situation thoroughly and see it that him and his goons won't ever lay a finger on either of you again.

Peach: (Frowns Sadly) But we can't do that if you won't tell us what happened. (Tears Starts Falling Down From her Eyes as Well) Please.....

Pitto looks around see the rest of the moms staring at him and Yoshi with worry and sadness in each of their eyes as they patiently wait for him to give them details, even Kirby looking up and nodding at him to tell them everything.

Dark Pit: (Takes a Deep Breath Before Speaking) Okay. So.....Yoshi and I were in Twilight Town, right? And were walking around, eating Seasalt Ice Cream and whatnot. Then suddenly, that Luxu guy you mentioned, and his four goons came completely out of nowhere and started attacking us. So we fought back as hard as we could, but surprise-surprise, it didn't go all that well.

Flashback to The Streets of Twilight Town

'THUD THUD'

Dark Pit: (On the Ground in the Pain Along with Yoshi) Argh shit....(Turns to Yoshi) Hey, how are you holding up?

Yoshi: My arms and legs are starting worn-out on me as we speaking and I can't move without feeling immense pain. (Groans in Pain as He Rolls Overs and Starts Sitting Himself Up) See?

Dark Pit: (Tries Getting Himself Back Up on his Feet While Groaning in Pain as Well) Yeah. It's.....(Pushes his Back Forehead as He Winces) ('Crack') Bitch in a half. Did you call or text for back-up yet?

Yoshi: I texted someone, but....(Pulls Up his Now Broken Phone) My phone got busted up before i could even see who it was. (Phone Shatters into Pieces) What about you? You do have your phone on you, right?

Dark Pit: I......(Starts Looking Away a Bit) may or may not have it one me right now.....

Yoshi: (Gives Pitto a Deadpinned Look on his Face) Are you serious?

Without warning, the four masked Keyblade wielders appears in front of the boys. One is wearing a unicorn, the second wearing a snake mask, third wearing a white tiger mask, and the last one, whom the boys had the second most trouble with, I'd wearing a bear mask. And their supposed leader appearing before them is none other than the one eyed snake himself, Luxu.

Luxu: (Puts on an Evil, Cocky Grin on his Face) You boys are having fun so far?

Yoshi: (Glares at Luxu) We're having a misery time actually!

Dark Pit: Why the fuck are you doing this!?

Luxu: Oh come now. There's no need for the hostility here.

Yoshi: You attacked us on broad daylight, out of nowhere, how ELSE are we supposed react to that!?

Luxu: Fair point. But in our defense though, we have a perfectly good reason in doing so.

Dark Pit: (Already Losing his Patience) Oh I wanna hear this...

Luxu: (Points at the Snake Masked Figure Beside Him) You see, Invi girl here have been dreaming of meeting and examining an actual angel from up close. So I told her about meeting you back at Firelocks's place a couple of months ago abd here we are. (Grabs his Chin While Taking a Look at the Dark Angel) Though, I don't think I remember seeing your hair and wings all that black.....

Dark Pit: That's because I'm not the angel you were looking for, genius. It was my brother Pit you saw.

Luxu: Ah-haaa!......Gotcha. So like, what? Are you his broody, inferior twin brother or something?

Dark Pit: You mean less obnoxious of the two? Then yes I am.

Back to the Present

Bayonetta: Pitto!

Dark Pit: What? He's annoying! Most of the times.

Isabelle: (Put her Hands on her Hips With a Motherly Glare in her Eyes) But he's also your brother.

Moms: Yeah!

Dark Pit: (Sighs While Rolling is Eyes) Look, I apologize for being rude. Now can I please continue?

Back to the Flashback

Yoshi: Okay, so why are after ME then?

Luxu: Oh that's simple. See, Lil' Gula here been wanting a pet for the longest time now, and when we spotted you walking around town, I told "Hey, there's a green talking dinosaur you can take home" and he stepped out of the portal quicker than any of us did.

Gula: I wanna talking dinosaur.

Luxu: See? He knows what he wants.

Yoshi: (Couldn't Believe What He is Hearing Right Now) You....(Starts Getting Back Up on his Feet) Heartlees- ('Crack') Ack!

Dark Pit: (Quickly Made his Way to Yoshi) Hey, you Good?

Yoshi: (Glares Harshly at Luxu and the Foretellers) As soon as we pummeled these twerps to the grovel, I will be.

Luxu: (Casually Shrugs) Sure! We're down to go a few more rounds. It'll might cost you your own lives though. So-

Before Luxu could finish talking, a chili dog flew in out of nowhere and hits his face.

Dreamland's savor, Kirby, jumps out of the dimension ring ready for action.

Dark Pit/Yoshi: Kirby!?

Hades: (Walks Out of the Ring as Well) Annnnnnnnnnnd HADES!

Luxu: Wait. That's the Hades? You look a whole lot different than from what I've seen. Where's the blue fiery hair?

Hades: (Raises an Eyebrow in Confusion) Bluey fire- Ohhhhh right. I forgot you have another version of me in your universe. I should really look up on that one of these days.....Anyways, we're here to take the boys back home now.

Luxu: (Starts Smirking Evilly) Or what? You're gonna fight us or something?

Hades: Oh not me. I just got back from getting my nails did for the month and I am not risking the chance of getting them broken. (Forms a Smirk of his Own on his Face) Buuuuut not to worry. Besides the pink puffball, you'll be fighting someone else to take my place in the meantime. Ohhhh Sephyyy!~

*Cue One Winged Angel (Advent Version)*

Another figure slowly walks out of the ring with long silver hair, wearing an all black attire, carrying a long sword and a Pichu on his chest pouch happily waving hello to everyone present. His presence alone may not effect the Foretellers in a way, but to Luxu however........it was stepping back into horrific nightmare he never thought he would ever return to after all these years. A nightmare that will continue to haunt him for the rest of his days.

Luxu: No.........No no no no no. Anyone but him......

Sephiroth: So.....these five will be our opponents for the time being?

Hades: Yep. The boys here is in rough shape, so it's gonna be a two-on-five fight. That won't be a problem for you, will it?

Sephiroth: (Forms a Small Smirk on his Face) ('Hmph') Please. (A Large Black Wing Emerges From his Back) This will hardly be a challenge.

Gula: So is he like a.....Half angel or something?

Invi: Fascinating.......

Ira: We must give it our all regardless of who this may be. Isn't that right, Luxu?

Luxu: .................................

Ira: (Turns to the Others Who Shrugs at Him Before Turning Back to his One Eyed Companion) Umm.....Luxu, is something the-

Luxu: Everyone retreat.

Luxu immediately summons a dark portal behind him, must to the Foretellers' confusion.

Gula: What.

Ira: Luxu, what are you-

Luxu: I'll explain everything along the way. Right now, we need to the get the hell on out of here before it's too late!

Aced: (Angrily Stomps the Ground) NONSENSE! We are Keyblade Masters! We do not run and cower from any-

Luxu: (Glares at the Bear Masked Figure) Look, I don't have the time or mentality to deal with your prideful bullshit today, Aced! So quit your yammering and get your ass into that portal before I drag you in there myself!! (Sprints Off to the Portal)

Aced: But-

Ira: (Place his Hand on Aced's Shoulder) Let's do what he says for now. There's no telling what this one winged angel figure is capable off.

The Foretellers did as Luxu commanded and retreat themselves back to their current headquarters with Aced giving Sephiroth one last glare before following behind them. It didn't take long for the portal itself gets smaller and smaller till it disappears completely.

Yoshi: ........Yeah, you better run.

Back to the Present. Again..........

Yoshi: And that's basically about it. They spotted us, beaten us to a pulp, and we would've been done for if Kirby, Hades, Pichu, and Sephiroth haven't stepped in at the last second.

Peach: And we couldn't be any.more happier. (Turns to the Four Beside Pitto and Yoshi) Thank you so much.

Kirby: (Smiles Sheepishly While Rubbing the Back of his Head Back and Forth) Poyo~

Hades: Ah it's nothing. Though.....(Starts Smirking) If you really wanna thank me, you could reward me something valuabl-

Smaus: Don't push it.

Hades: (Sighs Whille Rolling his Eyes) Nevermind. I'll treat myself to a vuctory drink or whatever. Care to come with, Selhpy?

Sephiroth: (Shrugs) Don't have anything else to do. (Looks Down at Pichu) Would you be alright without daddy for the remainder of the night?

Pichu: (Happily Nodded) Pi-chu.

Dark Pit: I wanna fight them again.

Everyone: (Immediately Turns Back to Dark Pit) WHAT!?

Yoshi: (Glares at Dark Pit) You're going back out there after EVERYTHING we've been through today!?

Dark Pit: (Glares Back at Yoshi) Not now obviously! I'm gonna heal myself up first, THEN, I'll go back and face them again.

Yoshi: Oh my freaking god.....Please tell me you're hearing yourself right now.

Dark Pit: Dude, they came out of nowhere, thrashed us, treated you like a pet, and me like some kind of test subject they can experiment on daily. I'm NOT going down without another fight!!

Aqua: We understand how you feel, Pitto, truly. But you cannot challenge him or the Foretellers again, especially now that you know how powerful they truly are.

Lea: Now, for me personally, I'm not sure how Luxu is now that he's the actually the apprentice of that Master of What-its-face, but I know for SURE how dangerous he was back at the Organization.

Samus: How dangerous are we talking here exactly?

Lea: Sneaky, conniving, and precise on almost ANYTHING he set his sights on killing. He was a menacing back then, and there's no telling kind of new tricks he got in his sleeves......

Palutena: ('Sniff') They're right, you know?

Pit: (Takes One Good Look at Palutena's Watery Eyes For a Brief Second Before Finally Sighing in Defeat) Alright. If you guys really have what it takes to beat 'em, then I'll back off. And whenever you do fight 'em, just.....(Immediately Gives his Goddess Mom a Hug) be careful out there, alright?

Palutena: (Giggles Softly) Awww~ Is our angsty, baby boi getting worried about us already? That's soooo unlike you!~

Dark Pit: (Rolls his Eyes) Yeah, well, it was bound to happen eventually. I'm way too exhausted to try and hide it now......

Dark Pit: What the- (Pulls Away From his Mother's Embrace as He Takes a Looks at his Upper Body) I'm healed?

Palutena: (Smiles Brightly) Yep! I can any wounds in one's body with a simple touch of the hand. My hugs are no exceptions.

Yoshi: Ah dude. I wanna a healing hug! (Starts Walking Towards Only to Felt a Pain on his Pain') ('Crack') Ack! Dang it! Not again!

Daisy: I gotcha, honey! (Quickly Makes her Way to her Son and Helps Him Makes his Way to Palutena)

Peach: Once Yoshi gets healed up, we're gonna have ourselves a group hug session!~

Aqua giggles softly at the Pitto's blatant sarcasm along with the others before noticing a worried look on Lea's face.

Aqua: Lea?

Lea: (Comes Back to Reality) Hm? Yeah, teach?

Aqua: Is everything okay?

Lea: ('Sighs Heavily') Yeah, just.......Thinking about Luxu and whatnot.......I know I shouldn't waste my time worrying, but......

Aqua: Hey, I get it. Today's been.....surprising to say the least, but we can't let boggle our minds forever, you know?

Lea: Definitely. But there's one thing for sure, and I never thought I would ever say this, but....I really need to train more.....

Aqua: (Place a Hand onto Lea's Shoulder With a Soft Smile on her Face) And Terra and I would be happy to help you.

Samus: (Wraps her Arm Around Lee's Other Sode of the Shoulder) Same here. Couldn't help but overhear your need to training and I want in.

Tifa: (Happily Chimes in) Me too. Namine and I could really use another sparring partner.

Lea: (Eyes Widened in Fear) Uhh! Actually, I'm....gonna have to take a pass on the whole hand-to-hand sparring invitation.

Samus: (Forms a Teasing Smirk on her Face) What? You're scared of getting your ass kicked? Your gonna have to take the beating sooner or later.

Lea: (Glares at Samus) I know that! I just.....(Twiddles his Fingers Around) Being cautious is all.

Tifa: I know it's a Intimidating, but I promise to do everything I can give you the best training exercise you could ever hope for.

ㅤㅤCloud pauses at the sorry, his face gradually softening as his expression slowly shifts to hint at bashfulness. "I. . . It's okay." He lets out a light breath after pausing a few moments to think. "I just. . ." He's not all together sure how to explain to his close friend that he forgot him. That his memories of him aren't all there & that it still bothers him? ". . .don't remember you being this. . . affectionate." He's not sure what other word to use without it sounding harsh.

ㅤㅤCloud's aqua eyes widen slightly at the mention of Elmyra, his brow quirking at his friend curiously though he stays silent as he gives Zack his full attention.

ㅤㅤSurprise flickers over his face at the mention of Aerith saving him, which shouldn't be that surprising when he considers it. Aerith does still think of him fondly after all that time apart. His aqua eyes shifting down to the bedding as he listens intently, working through his thoughts as Zack gets comfortable.

ㅤㅤHe ends up scowling at the bedding while Zack explains the different Clouds, catching the part about a version of himself being left at Elmyra's. It brings his mind to the time him awoke in Aerith's bedroom. That in itself had been confusing for him but he'd played along for Aerith.

ㅤㅤStill, it makes him wonder if the guy Zack mentions was resting in a wheelchair.

ㅤㅤHe ends up remaining silent long after Zack stops talking, rolling the questions his friend asks through his head, along with everything else. "Sephiroth's using the different realities... I think he was trying to rejoin them somehow. I'm-- I'm not sure how exactly. I do know. . . he considers death a homecoming." So does Cloud at times, mentioning that fact stays on the tip of his tongue for a few moments before letting out a low breath. "The specifics. . . are. . . confusing."

ㅤㅤCloud inches up the bed, leaning back against the bedframe & stretches his legs out in front of him as he debates how to explain everything. He has no idea how to move between worlds even though he's done it himself. It's more of a feeling of being pulled along for the ride. Some parts he's not sure if it actually happened or if he was just dreaming?

ㅤㅤAs Barrett said, it could have been the mako.

ㅤㅤShaking his head he scowls at his lap, his lips pressing together & tries something different. "I think you're right. That Aerith saved you. She saved us. . ." Tilting his head into the bedframe he arches his head back, his aqua eyes peering over to his friend. "After. . . after we fell. I'm not sure if where we fell matters or if the Whispers played into it." He pauses collecting his thoughts. "When I came to we were. . . in her room suddenly sitting in a wheelchair."

ㅤㅤHe pauses again thinking back & ends up frowning. "She acted weird the whole day, everything was weird. People were giving away their products in the streets-- saying they ran out of time. . . When we reach the church. . ." He pauses once more, contemplating what to say. ". . .the weirdness only increased. . ." Cloud cuts himself off with a thoughtful scowl, trying to figure out if he should say more.

Okay: here's a few! Emet, ANY of the Foretellers, and Sephiroth.

Okay, take my essays on each of them XD

Emet, Foretellers, Sephiroth

First impression

Emet: Well I was a bit biased from the beginning because I had a pair of certain someones talking him up and blowing him air kisses, but even without that I adored him instantly. He’s was and is my favorite type of character - insanely complex and hiding it behind snarky over dramatic dramatic bastard. His entire scene with Varis was just me cackling gleefully because “holy shit he’s so fun”. Very Ardyn vibes, but with a much better written ending.

Aced: Okay you said any so you get all the Foretellers. My initial impression of Aced? “Oh he’s an ass, I hate him. Talk about an inflated ego and bad attitude.” KHX/UX did not give him any brownie points. Aaaand then Back Cover came out. But he had a very bad first impression and was the character I definitely considered to be the main antagonist of KHX/Chi.

Gula: I loved him. I didn’t trust him, but I loved him. Snarky sneaky catboi my beloved. He was doing his best, but I could already see that he was too smart for his own good and that it would get him in trouble (and I was right). But the sneaky ones running rings around everyone else to pull their strings are my favorite characters, so Gula had my heart almost immediately.

Invi: “Oh she seems cool, reminds me of Aqua.” And… that’s about it. She’s a lot like Aqua, and X/UX/BC did not change that impression in the least.

Ira: “Oh I’m going to like him, I mean he’s automatically my chosen Foreteller bc of the unicorn that matches Etheria’s lore too well, and he’s the type of stoic serious character I tend to like.” X/UX/BC didn’t really add much to that. There was a little, but not a ton.

Ava: “She’s adorable, and seems sweet. I wonder if she’s going to die or turn evil later.” My opinion didn’t really change much until UX started dropping its bombs, and then I got increasingly concerned about what exactly had happened to her - especially the KH3 epilogue.

Sephiroth: Okay so the thing is. My first FFVII experience was Crisis Core, bc I found it through Kingdom Hearts (technically my first impression was in KH2 but that was just WHY DID THEY PUT AN IMPOSSIBLE BOSS IN THIS GAME D: so it doesn’t count.) So my first impression of Sephiroth was “oh this is so unfair, he’s being so screwed over. I love him, he’s doing his best to help his friends despite being stuck in an impossible situation.” So he was a really tragic character right off the bat for me, since I didn’t have the impression of him starting out as an enemy in the OG game.

Impression now

Emet: He has remained one of my favorite characters and I still adore him, but I can really appreciate his depth now. Elpis gave me a lot of feelings because we got to see him before he had to endure the tragedy of technically being the only ancient to truly survive the Final Days/Sundering untouched - Lahabrea was half of himself even before that point, and Elidibus was… more of a primal than a person by that point, from what I can tell. So Emet-Selch was the sole remaining whole Ancient for twelve millenia, on top of having to deal with the world being reset back to the pre-stone age era. He’s tragic, and one of the most relatable and emotional characters in the whole game despite his attempts at convincing everyone that he has a solid arm’s length of distance between himself and the world at large. He absolutely does not, he’s just a tsundere. I can understand why did what he did - from the beginning to the end, I definitely understand his perspective

Aced: He’s probably my favorite now, thanks to Back Cover and the character analyses I’ve done on him. Because oh. look. he’s just scared and desperate and doing his best to save the world, despite everyone else making fun of him or accusing him of things. (The fact that he’s clearly spent his life as the too-serious one of the group who doesn’t quite get the jokes the others are making about him and just getting upset only to get made fun of more or told to chill out in a relatable way definitely has nothing to do with that. Definitely not.) His relationship with my main Keykid is honestly fascinating to me, because they kind of hate each other and it’s on sight, but that’s because they consider each other a threat to the world/her health, and they highly respect each other’s perspectives/intentions. They just don’t trust each other and would sooner stab each other than compromise to work together at the time of the Keyblade War.

Gula: Look he did his best and I will stand by that. He was a an idiot who got himself in over his head by his own designs, but he’s self aware enough to know and acknowledge that in canon to our Keykid, and he feels incredibly guilty about it. I’m excited to see where they’re going with him in future games and how he’ll grow, as well as what’s going to happen with Ava because he’s clearly worried about her.

Invi: My initial impression of "she's basically Aqua" has not changed, except Aqua has had character growth and Invi is still… “I believe in MoM, and believe he has the best of intentions and will do all I can to uphold his teachings.” Maybe (hopefully!) that’ll change in KH4 and beyond, but as of the end of X/UX my impression of her hasn’t changed.

Ira: I - Look. He’s still my chosen Foreteller, I’ve never switched from Unicornis, and Etheria still respects him, but. He’s�� honestly kind of boring? His “rivalry” with Aced is the most characterization he gets, and while he does save our ass and acknowledges us, he’s more distant than anyone but Invi. I’m hoping we get more characterization for him because right now my impression is “*Shrug.* He’s there. I respect his attempts but they failed and he didn’t make me sympathize with him.”

Ava: I. I have so many questions. I’m so torn. I like her a lot, she’s sweet, but man oh man I don’t trust anything about her situation. While I don’t think she’s turned evil, I do think she’s become extremely complicated and whatever is going on with her is going to be a twist of some sort. My current theory is that she’s somehow tied to Namine. Not sure how, but questions and convenient hints are beginning to line up between them somehow.

Sephiroth: His dedication to chasing Cloud across the whole universe and every single game he’s in and now TIME TRAVEL LIKE THE MANY FICS I’VE READ is hilarious and that’s always going to be his defining feature to me now. I still find him incredibly tragic because his insanity was cultivated and purposeful by Hojo and Jenova, so if the situation in Nibelheim - and Genesis’ own insanity making him be an ass - hadn’t happened as it had, things wouldn’t have snowballed as they did. The whole thing could have been avoided if he’d had proper support and a bit of interference from someone who wasn’t as cut out of the loop as Zack.

Favorite moment

Emet: “Do no squander it, the legacy I leave you.” Honestly all of Elpis was gold and one joy after the next, but that line is what really really stuck with me. His little monologue at the end of Ultima Thule also got to me, the list of places left to visit and then his final “I certainly did.” was just- *chef’s kiss* I also loved him throughout SHB, all his sarcastic drama was amazing and I loved it all. Amaurot tore me apart as was intended. Every time this man smiles That Smile at us I die of pain and joy.

Aced: His moment of vulnerability with Ira in Back Cover was wonderful, and was the moment that made him click for me. His tired resignation, from his posture to his words were “I did my best. I did all I could, and everything I did was to protect the world and stop this war. If I failed then I will accept my end.” AND IF THAT’S NOT A CHARACTER TYPE THAT INSTANTLY WINS MY HEART. One scene made me go from disliking him to taking him on as one of my favorites.

Gula: His scene with the Master, probably, because it - more than anything else - was what set the tone for both Back Cover and the entirety of KHUX. THAT was the moment when it clicked exactly what kind of story this was, and exactly what kind of long game MoM was playing. The complete breakdown of Gula’s role combined with MoM’s sudden personality switch was top tier, and made all of Gula’s actions make complete sense - tragic and stupidly reckless though they were.

Invi: Hmm probably that fight with Aced? She had some good moments there, and they were the most definitive of her character across the whole series so far. Although her scene in the Keyblade War to the Player was pretty good too.

Ira: His scene with Aced in Back Cover was great - his response of “No I’m not going to kill you, we need everyone we can and I still trust you and believe that you were trying to help.” was FANTASTIC and exactly what I love in a character, and validated me for choosing him as my leader. He may be among the least interesting/utilized, but he has his moments.

Ava: Hmmm it’s hard to pick one, but probably either the scene where she gave Brain the book and keyblade or the fountain scene where she was talking to Ephemera. I enjoyed the complexity of the first, and the genuine warmth and sweetness of the second.

Sephiroth: He’s so tragic. Nibelheim could have been avoided so easily if he’d just BEEN GIVEN SUPPORT. AND HIS TWO BEST FRIENDS NOT ABANDONED HIM AND THEN ONE OF THEM SHOWED UP AND CALLED HIM A MONSTER THEN DEMANDED HIS HELP. I like Genesis and his potential but the blame for Nibelheim and everything after is at least 20% on his shoulders. The other 80% is divided between Hojo and Jenova. I love him, I love his potential, and I think his insanity was something cultivated and triggered purposefully and could have been avoided.

Idea for a story

Emet: I have fucking lists. One of my current favorites is either Etheria (my WoL) being trapped back in time and Emet having to vouch for her/work with her, or Elpis!Emet being dragged forward with a couple of others and having to deal with modern Etheirys and just reacting to everything. Otherwise though give me young Solus, show me Emet building up the Garlean empire with Gaius and the others, and what that looked like from the Garlean side.

Foretellers: Combining all of these into one, I want to write an au “nothing goes wrong, the war never breaks out” story series, consisting purely of Daybreak Town shenanigans and the Foretellers dealing with the would-be main Dandelion group causing trouble. Aced says if Ephemera, Skuld, and Etheria break into the tower one more time he’s locking their Keyblades away and trapping them in Agrabah. MoM and Luxu are too busy laughing and enabling them to offer the Foretellers any help. Lauriam and Brain are trying to act as the group brain cells and keep them out of trouble. Poor Strel, Elrena, and Ven have no idea how they got here but they’re stuck within the madness now.

Sephiroth: Time Travel is and will always be my favorite story trope, give me the good old FFVII classic fic of Seph and Cloud travelling back in time to when Cloud was a cadet and both of them just completely dismantling ShinRa.

Unpopular opinion

Emet: Hmmm not sure I’m familiar enough with fandom opinion to give an unpopular one? I know I’ve seen some people say he’s overrated, which I strongly disagree with but can understand for the people who don’t like him. Hmm, probably the closest I can give is that I disagree with the idea that he hates/resents the WoL for not being Azem and didn’t care at all about Garlemald - what he says and what he does are two very different things, and he offered WoL too much support to hate them (and that smile is a story of its own), plus he was beloved in Garlemald and canonically considered a kind and caring leader for a reason (until his son died maybe, but that’s a whole analysis of its own).

Aced: He’s not an idiot, he doesn’t try to kill our Keykid for the lulz, and despite what he says in UX I don’t actually think he ever wanted to “rule the world” - he was scared and desperate and trying to save the world from something that he’d been told and convinced was an inevitability so he got angry and frustrated and lashed out. Something he (and the others) was manipulated into by MoM, so… he handle the situation badly - exactly how he was supposed to. Tragically.

Gula: Same with above - he had good reasons for doing what he did, and he was scared and angry and not thinking clearly. It was planned, and he did exactly what he was supposed to. Maybe it was stupid, but given the situation he didn’t believe he had other options.

Invi: Despite what I said above, Invi is not a blind follower. She makes comments that perhaps MoM wasn’t correct, or wasn’t the right path. Her faith in him wasn’t blind - it was a choice, one she thought through and acknowledged. It’s very possible that she’ll set aside that faith when she learns the whole story.

Ira: The same as above, though I haven’t really seen much fandom opinion on him. He… really doesn’t have much.

Ava: I don’t think she’s evil, but neither do I think she’s a pure cinnamon role who can do no wrong. She made mistakes as well, she had her moments of panic (see the fight with Luxu triggering the Keyblade War) and the jury’s out on how her switch of the BoP and Master’s Defender will play out - we still don’t know if that was planned as well (probably) or if she managed to pull one over on MoM. I don’t think she’ll turn out to be evil and malicious, though. She has the best intentions, I think - but then so do the others.

Sephiroth: He hasn’t been an irredeemable madman his whole life, and what happened at Nibelheim wasn’t some inevitable end for him. I don’t know if he can be pulled back at this point - as of ACC and who even knows what’s going on with Remake/Rebirth - but he wasn’t always a madman just waiting for the moment to snap.

Favorite relationship

Emet: Hythlodaeus and Azem for sure, but his relationship with various WoLs is always fascinating, and I really want to see how he interacts with the rest of the Convocation more. I also think it would have been interesting to see his relationship with his family in Garlemald, before Lucius died and everything started falling apart.

Aced: Probably his relationship with Ira - it’s so nuanced. There’s respect and resentment in equal measure, and that’s always fun to play around with. Second is with the Player because complicated doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Gula: Hmm probably Ava? Either that or the Keykids, bc he has some very interesting dynamic moments with the Player.

Invi: I have to say MoM? We don’t see her a lot, but that’s the relationship that has the most potential to be interesting.

Ira: Aced, for the same as above. Aced is the only one who can get him riled up, so it’s interesting to see them bounce off of each other.

Ava: Either Ephemera or Brain, because there’s so much there. I’m actually going to have to say Brain? Because there’s a story there that we don’t know, especially how much she trusts him and how he seems reserved about trusting her. Ephemera trusts her more than Brain, and I want to know why Brain is so important and how they know each other. There’s nuance and complication there, much more so than Ava and Ephemera.

Sephiroth: Cloud. We’ve established that I like complicated relationships, and you can’t get much more complicated than this. There’s so much there, whether in canon or what-if aus, and it’s always fascinating to analyze and explore.

Favorite headcanon

Emet: WoL is not the first time in which Emet has taken a major role in the life of Azem’s shard - they’ve been at the center of every major conflict in history in one form or another, and Emet is very used to both fighting against them and alongside them. My WoL’s previous life was actually as a half-Dalmascan Garlean assassin who helped create Garlemald’s alchemist division during the very early days of Solus building his reign, and was his (secret) lover for a time - until she found out just a little too much about the Ascians and he killed her before she could become a threat (and she would have). There have been multiple times throughout history that he’s sought a shard out, though it always ends with them enemies and he’s never given any of them Azem’s crystal.

Aced: He loves his Union, and is really protective of his kids (unless Player is one of them. In which case oops). He bluffs and blusters loudly, but he’s a softy if you trick him into admitting it, and if an upset kid asks genuinely for help he’ll cave immediately.

Gula: He kind of hates himself for the specific role he plays in the Keyblade War, even once he finds out it was inevitable. His Union is the first to begin falling to darkness and is the most aggressive about the war, and he hates what it's done to them and that he has only himself to blame.

Invi: I… don’t really have any? I think she has a bit of a mischievous streak of her own, she just hides it really well. Make her angry though, and - well, you’ll never be able to prove it.

Ira: His attitude and “uptightness” is a very purposeful thing he projects and cultivates, because he thinks he has to. He was named leader, but even before that he… basically he and Invi the result of gifted child syndrome, and I’m sure MoM encouraged that. He has do be perfect and make the right choice every time, mistakes aren’t allowed. And when he can’t match it… well, he copes the best he can while bottling anything negative up because he can’t afford to think about it now.

Ava: She’s a prankster who’s the most vicious of all for Foretellers, and has very little respect for rules unless she can see a clear reason for them (if it’s not dangerous or potentially hurting anyone then it’s fine to break it). She’s really close to all her Union kids, and is perfectly willing to befriend kids from other Unions.

Sephiroth: He has a strong respect for Wutai’s culture, and believes that ShinRa’s actions were extreme and pointless and is a little resentful over them. He followed orders because… well, they were orders and it wasn’t until Angeal and Genesis deserted that he even realized that leaving was an option (although it really wasn’t, but he could’ve taken anything ShinRa threw at him). So he followed orders and fought, but he did it as cleanly as possible and earned at least some measure of respect from Wutai in turn.

Zack opened the office door, pausing upon realizing he was talking to nothing but thin air. Aqua eyes scanned the vacant room. "Seph?" The brunet sauntered over to his friend's unoccupied desk, shaking his head. "The one time ya ain't doing…”

He set the paper down. Seph had been here less than ten minutes ago, buried in a packet of transfer files as he unenthusiastically waved Zack goodnight. The guy was like six feet tall, how could he possibly lose him?

The SOLDIER kneaded his eyes, another yawn tearing free. His best bud was efficient—too efficient. He'll see it eventually.

Satisfied, Zack dimmed the lights and pulled the door behind him.

"Blasted rain..." the courier griped, wiping his soaked hands against his uniform in a futile attempt to dry it. Rain pummeled from the polluted sky, droplets so large that they exploded upon hitting the asphalt. In some ways it was rhythmic, in others it was a thorn.

He jogged across the tumultuous streets, bounding over puddles and bellowing swears as it careless vehicles whizzed by, further drenching the waterlogged man and adding insult to injury.

He made it to the end of the street, eventually, where the worker readjusted his hat and glanced up through the curtain of rain to consume the colossal building above. Thunder roared overheard, flashes of light soon dogging and momentarily blinding the base's upper stories from view.

"Heh... so this is the famous ShinRa HQ." A wry yet fascinated smirk tugged at the man's features. Bringing down his gaze, the man scoffed, snapping out of his childish awe. Certainly bigger than the imitation posters back home.

"Let's see..." He withdrew a small clipboard, hovering the led of his pen over the dozens of microscopic names, rolling the cap around in his mouth like a cigar.

"You're going to catch a cold."

The courier froze, stiffening as the baritone voice met his ears. With taut hands he lowered his clipboard, met with a familiar figure standing only feet away.

Sephiroth waited, head canted slightly in expectation, one eyebrow raised. The celestial gleam of jade rended the harsh night, charcoal coat glistening and contrasting wildly to the silver bangs that were plastered tight to his chest. He studied the other's name tag—Connor—as well his quivering eyes. "You won't be getting any work done if you continue to loiter around like this." Sephiroth glided towards the statue, outstretching his hand and wriggling his fingers.

"What... do you want, S-Sir...?" The poor man sounded petrified; Sephiroth was unsure of whether to take that as a compliment or not.

"Let me see your list," the warrior tried again, gloved fingers still motioning towards the clipboard. "Perhaps I can help you find what you need; I am quite familiar with the building."

This seemed to bring the other out of his stupor. Nodding uneasily, taken aback by the Demon of Wutai's gesture of…. kindness, he offered the slab of wood.

Sephiroth studied the paper, eyes straining to make out its minute print—made even harder considering the water that stippled it.

"Connor Shawl, delivering to a zoologist facility in Corel," Sephiroth assessed, pointing to where he had located the name and address. "You are to claim package 1981. Connor swallowed, reclaiming his clipboard as it was returned. "Th-thank you, General, Sir."

Sephiroth inclined his head in acknowledgement. With that settled, he started back to the main entrance, heavy boots drumming royally along the pavement.

After the General had finally vanished, safe from the immediate danger of a seven-foot sword, Connor hurried to follow his instructions, sprinting through the rain and counting numerically as he went.

He paused before one of the several garage doors, one with a large number 12 nailed proudly on its front. Connor rummaged through his pockets, fishing out the key card his boss had bestowed. The lock flashed green—harmonious to the lightning—as he swiped it, watching as the oversized maws lifted, granting him access into the warehouse and more than thankful to have escaped the clamorous weather.

The garage was lined endlessly with identical company-managed vehicles; he weaved around the sea of engines and wheels, and just past a convoy of Jeeps, was a tower of cardboard boxes—all carelessly thrown under a sign that read 1950-2000.

"Just what I needed..." The man lowered to his knees, muttering faint swears as he ferreted through the boxes, craning his neck to check each label.

1999...

1981.

As Conner reached for the assigned box—an average sized box, maybe even below—he couldn't help but notice the ever so faint... glow that seemed to radiate from it?

He really wasn't supposed to handle the shipments themselves...

Then again, it was his duty to deliver it, and deliver it intact at that. Would it really hurt to just ensure its condition?

Then again, he knew that the General—all of ShinRa for that matter was nearby... He could always call for help if needed.

And then again, his own safely was on the line. He deserved to know what gems or explosives he may be transporting.

With his mind made and curiosity taking the reins, the courier began to unwind the tape. He raked his nails through the thick cardboard, lifting the foldable tabs aside.

And nestled in layers upon layers of protective wrapping, was a beaker.

"What in the name...?" Connor extracted the container, examining it meticulously on all angles. A vile scent bombed into the air, smothering the aroma of damp concrete and smog, overpowering it, replacing it with its own.

Entranced by the liquid, he wasn't prepared for thunder.

The worker, clutching the beaker in his hand, stumbled at the sudden crack of nature's gunfire. Violet liquid swirled in its captivity, dancing, cheering, preparing for freedom. It flew from the trembling hands, riding the air, soaring backwards and into the gaping eyes that momentarily swapped with that of a fragile deer, staring into the lights of its own demise before he could even process it.

And the glass shattered.

A sharp cry of pain erupted, jets of crimson spewing, showering the other in rain despite their sanctuary. The liberated substance cascaded down the nest of rugged chocolate hair, rivering through the pursed features and into the mouth of his collar.

Next to follow was a burn. Tame at first, as if a dying ember…

But as the thunder continued to roar so did the cries of the man, embers sparking into infernos that engulfed his entire body, consuming it, lapping at him, unrelentingly famished, skin twisted and contorting amid the invisible fire, each and every nerve aflame.

He was reduced to nothing but a shrieking child, desperately coiling and convulsing upon the ground, rolling among the fallen splinters of glass, tearing through fabric and flesh until crimson joined the spillage of hostile magenta.

No one heard his screams over the storm.

Zack felt like a new person as he removed the damp towel from his head, kneading the last of his raven locks dry. Finally, bed time!

The melodic chorus of nature continued outside, drawing a fond smile from Zack's lips. With his back turned to the window he hummed along to the rain, half-heartedly tossing his towel into the open hamper.

It would shower cats and dogs back in Gongaga—a lullaby that would never fail to drift him to sleep. Heck, rain was great in general! Puddle jumping, mud pies...

He would never forget the look Seph had shot him after suggesting to build one. Someone would think he was the alien-hybrid.

Chuckling, Zack threw back his covers and nestled inside them.

His head never made it to the pillow.

An ear-splitting screech howled from the city below. Sapphire eyes snapped awake, a now-alert Zack flying from his mattress and over to the 45th story window, all the previous mirth hardened to stone.

And soon, his entire body did as well.

He swiped his phone from the nightstand in nothing more than a blur, slamming his fingers against the keys as he punched in the numbers, bringing it close to his ear, heart thundering his chest, breath panicked and erratic.

It only rang once before the receiver answered.

"Look out the window." He didn't wait for the other to speak. Something akin to a shuffle cracked over the speakers, followed by a moment of dark silence, much like the static that was currently hazing his mind.

Finally, Sephiroth found his voice: "Meet me outside."

Happy August everyone - it’s almost time for Halloween! This one is a teensy bit late, but we’re back at it with another activity check, and you know what that means. We’ve searched through the masterlist, and while we didn’t find any treasure, we did find some people to be inactive whether from not making enough posts to meet the requirement, or not posting recently enough. You can see our clarification post here (and please check the rules page) if you’re unsure what counts as “meeting activity”!

If you find your muse on this list wrongfully, please let us know and we’ll fix that right away! Otherwise, feel free to send us a message of intent to re-app within 24 hours and you’ll be able to pick them back up no problem - if you miss that grace period, your muse will be up for grabs. Please note that if this is the second consecutive activity check you’ve been caught up in, you’ll have to wait one week before you’re allowed to reapp. If you have any questions, feel free to send us an ask, and we’ll answer as quickly as we can, as always.

Invi x AquaTwo powerful Master Ladies who could learn much from each other? What's not to love?

Invi x AvaI wasn't particularly partial to this ship until I began writing it on Discord, now I find it very cute.

Invi x TerraI just think it could be adorable.

Invi x Sephiroth or Invi x AnsemA ship built on tension and danger instead of romance and fluff, for a change. Probably unhealthy, probably very interesting to write exactly because of that.

Since my tumblr is pretty dead and no cares about my opinions I'm gonna rant about things that I would change about kingdom hearts (the whole series)

Kh1... I would mostly leave this alone with the exception of sora at some point reflecting that "oh riku is actually helping but I dont like his methods" because let's be honest if it wasnt for riku teaming up with maleficent then they wouldn't have bothered getting kairis body for that final scene

CoM - I'd leave everything the same except sora doesn't forgive namine. He isn't mean to her or anything but is instead like "I cant look at you right now.." and just acts kinda distant towards her for the rest of the game-- riku side is the same minus that whole "you smell like kairi thing" lmao that's just weird lol

358/2 days --- leave everything the same except xion never exists or at least is completely forgotten and is never revived--- delete xion

Kh2-- leave everything the same except Hayner's gang doesn't know or gives a shit about roxas and never does--- because they never met and being friends in the digital twilight town doesn't count. Also kairi doesn't forget sora and the reason she feels like "maybe waiting isn't good enough" is for both sora and riku and not just sora. Also there's a better explanation on how riku just gives kairi her keyblade

Birth by sleep--- leave everything the same except vanitas gets more screen time and they explain some stuff from the bbs novels in the game

Re:coded --- leave the same except I'd give more cutscenes for the end to really signify "their hurting will end when you come to mend it" and maybe data namine feels/acts more guilty

Kh3d --- leave this the same except I would delete time travel--- like I would give literally any other explanation except for "time travel" and the power gap between sora and riku is miles apart with riku being op

Kh3--- remove the Disney filler bullshit, make it less sora-centric, more riku and kairi interactions, more ventus/sora, terra/riku, aqua/kairi interactions, riku playing a part in saving terra, Sora playing no part in saving aqua, aqua is saved at the beginning of the game, aqua is a fucking champ and doesn't get her ass kicked or have PTSD from being in the realm of darkness, sora actually relearning the power of waking and not "you had it this whole time", ansem the wise isn't forgiven and is exiled/killed/pays for his crimes, subject x is not a thing, roxas doesn't become his own person(I would save that for a future title), fuck replicas that's not a thing, upon meeting ventus axel doubts his morals and wonders "did I only like roxas because I was vaguely wanted to be with ventus this whole time???" And he starts to question their friendship, sora has an external crisis about his identity when meeting vanitas, sora questions whether roxas is even a real person and wonders if it was just ventus this whole time, riku puts on terra armor, aqua gets her armor and keyblade back, replica riku is not a thing, kairi actually does something, more final fantasy characters, xemnas and aqua interactions(before Terra is saved), kairi isn't killed by xehanort, Scala is explorable and they give more insight on that world, sephiroth secret boss fight, no world jumping and resets and no "final world", the final battle against xehanort is sora riku and kairi not sora Donald and goofy, post game get riku and kairi as team members so that gives incentive to revisit the world just to hear their dialogue, sora still disappears due to misusing the power of waking, kairi gives up on sora and riku and decides to go back to radiant garden because of her guilt of inadvertently being xehanorts pawn this whole time, saix isn't redeemed but still admits to being jealous of roxas so axel forgives him and stays with him anyways

Next kh title--- riku looks for sora

[Kingdom Hearts 3 Review]

Welp I’ve finally done it, finally played and finished KH3! - After intentionally delaying doing so with my day one copy after finding out for some silly reason - it lacked multiple world visits for development sake and had no Final Fantasy characters - so I decided to finish the games I was in the middle of then replay the entire KH franchise, except the ones you could watch. Gonna leave my thoughts below. Just in case there are those out there still trying to avoid legit spoilers!

There were good and bad elements to this game.. Plenty of my experience that I enjoyed, but I believe more so that I didn’t - which made me want to pull out my hair. But I like my head shaved, so that wouldn’t work lol I liked the graphics, beautiful but I knew a PS3 could handle them as the quality of Woody in this game was the same as him in Toy Story 3 (2010 Video Game). Enjoyed the gameplay, though it felt like a flawed, floaty and broken version of Kingdom Heart’s 2 near perfect improvement of Kingdom Heart’s gameplay. A problem was the fact that in the first two main games, even when I was level 50-60′s - I always felt like I could DIE. It was always a fear during major combat moments. I had to concentrate so much just to be successful. Even if I tried to be a higher level then recommending through grinding. I never felt like that in KH3, every moment was such a cake walk. Even the final battle. Did they even try. Regardless, I had a good time with the gameplay and the visuals. But I wasn’t as drawn in as previous games. It did the game no favors and was a massive flaw, it lacking Final Fantasy characters. We should of been able to explore Radiant Garden or had other worlds relevant to FF characters. They were really important to Sora’s development as a Keyblade wielder. Cloud and Squall for sure. Sora wouldn’t be who he is if he hadn’t encountered and spoke to them. They’d of been useful in multiple sequences. We deserved the next part to Cloud’s issues with Sephiroth. That wasn’t resolved. See how Squall/Leon and the others reacted and dealt with what was going on at Radiant Garden. They’re capable of other world travel, seeing how they’d react to some of the new worlds would of been great as well. Nomura confirmed the only Noctis he’d put in KH was his Noctis. Versus XIII Noctis. And interest in doing so. Yet he wasn’t in the game, when as an Anti-Hero of both light and darkness would of been interesting. Seeing he’d take neither side. Also has important factors in common with Rapunzel and Elsa. Seeing them relating over this would of been nice. The lack off FF adds to factors that make KH3 be disappointing experience - along with an enjoyable one. One of the things that still makes KH2 the best. Was how awesome it was to watch the Final Fantasy characters and Disney characters team up in the battle of 1000 Heartless. One of the best aspects about the franchise is the concept of it being a FF x Disney - a Final Fantasy and Disney collaboration. Multiple visits were really needed. Some of the worlds were quite enjoyable and not frustrating. But they all have different percentages of feeling rushed and not fleshed out enough due to one visit. And some annoyingly treated Sora like he didn’t matter. Just acted like making you watch rushed unfinished version’s of the original Disney movies. Sora’s just there like. Oh look, it’s Sora over there! Hi Sora! You don’t matter here! Shouldn’t be like that. The Disney characters should be well blended into the Kingdom Hearts plot and Sora in the plot of the Disney world. The story made me feel emotional, I enjoyed all the Kingdom Hearts parts, even if I felt some of them were rushed or not written well. Tears did leave my eyes. I liked how Aqua didn’t actually give into Darkness, it was Ansem’s fault. I liked the reunion, final battle sequences and all the stuff leading up to it. My favorite parts to praise are the deaths of all Org 13 members, each made me feel emotional and I wanted to see those character’s again reborn. Not so much young Xeraxnort. But Ansem and Xemnas? Oh the feels there, they were strong. I clapped. I felt there could be more with Larxene in the game in general, including her end. Luxord’s! Clap, really want him to come back and play cards with Sora. Riku Replica’s was great too. Both Riku Replica’s. Marluxa’s.. Vanitas’s was disappointing. However, these great moments aren’t enough for me to forgive those disrespected by this game. The one’s from the worlds you could visit. I’ll get to the unforgivable bits last. Toy Story’s new story and world were great. I loved exploring that world and playing through it. The development was great. Only flaw was what they did with Buzz, he’s stronger character then they take him for. He wouldn’t lose himself to the Darkness. Otherwise, everything was great. Pretty sure it’s my favorite. Hercules’s world was the level of quality I expected! It was decent, I miss the goddamn tournament's, Phil’s voice - but I did love the exploration of his city and meeting his father! Shame no boss fight with Hades's, they’re great and fun! Twilight Town sucked! I liked seeing the gang again, Uncle Scrooge and little chef. But that doesn’t make up for the fact that more then half of Twilight Town is cut and it doesn’t look like the same place! I liked exploring the entire world, not just a portion of it. Monsters Inc’s sequel to the first film with that world experience was great! I had a blast! I always wanted to see Sully’s reunion with Boo! It wasn’t perfect, but I had a good time! Pirates of Caribbean felt like it changed things from it’s canon, but it was an emotional blast! Jack Sparrow scenes and Will scenes, it was just great! The Big Hero 6 world! Oh it was great! It was emotional to lost Baymax in the film, to get him back was great! Kinda sucked to not see the big brother come back, but they’re saving that version of events for the sequel. Two Baymax’s. The only thing I didn’t like was how the whole cast was shrunk. Best example being Honey should of been taller then Jack Sparrow’s model, but she wasn’t. These worlds could of really done with multiple visits. Even more so the three left, that were wronged and disrespected. Don’t try to praise/defend what was done to them, they deserved better. Winne the Pooh deserved better. I liked not having to collect Torn Pages, but even if you didn’t have to. In the previous games, The Winnie the Pooh worlds lasted about an hour or so doing all the activities, helping out all Pooh Bear’s friends - stuff like that. Then you have KH3′s version, which is less then 20 minutes, doing the same activity three times. That was awful. Pooh’s universe deserved better. We deserved better. This is a massive flaw. Can’t forgive this. I love Pooh Bear. Now, as someone who love’s Rapunzel, not fond of how they treated her world either. It was basically the movie with bits cut out and skipped. She hardly interacted with Kingdom Hearts lore, Sora hardly stuck around her. It was just like. Now and then, Sora’s there. Why were they so scared of showing Rapunzel kissing Flynn? There were so many moments Sora should of got to interact with? Where were the two bad guy twins? Rapunzel just generally deserved better in this game. Last but not least, Frozen. Probably the worst world in the game. Because you spend most of it just falling off mountains. They hardly let Sora interact with Elsa or Anna. Or left them get involved in Kingdom Hearts lore. Sora would of been able to relate well to Elsa if they let it happen. You can’t explore the palace, Han’s has no lines and you’re forced to listen to Let It Go again with Sora basically just there. Like hi Sora! All I liked was Snow guard getting more of a role. Don’t even get to explore the city. Just the snowy place. No real development, it’s like - what was the point? There really was none. Why did we go there? Why was Larxene there? Elsa and Anna deserved better then this. Also while not all Disney worlds could of returned in KH3, due to their stories being settled. A lot definitely could! Also, Kairi deserved better then pretty much being a plot device, hardly getting development at all just to go poof. And the idea that Sora’s sacrifice to get her back doesn’t lead to the priority of everyone to find and/or bring him back somehow instead of chilling. Just made the whole ending sequence an OOC moment for me.

Verdict! 

Kingdom Hearts 3 is a decent game and fun experience, but it’s also a flawed mess. Like handling in a English report that gets a low C and just barely hits the passing grade. It is not the worst in the franchise, but Kingdom Hearts 2 easily beats it and so does Kingdom Hearts, the original one. Funner to play then Dream Drop Distance, Chain Of Memories, Recoded and the Roxas focused game! But the rest defeat it! I have no interest in a new game plus, roleplay wise I intend to amend the flaws. The Disney worlds that were wronged will get justice. Add back Final Fantasy and the missing Disney worlds. Make it what it should of been! I had a good time, I really did. But once was enough. After finishing, it now shocks me that an amount of people I can count on just one of my hands tried to either tell me KH3 was good enough or superior to all the other games, even KH2. My assumption now is, they hadn’t recently played the other games before playing 3, were lost in Nostagla or something else was going on. Just how.. I really feel like I’m being generous here, but if I went lower then I’d think I was being too harsh. It’s not FFXV and Bound by Flame 5/10 quality, but it’s certainly not The Walking Dead (by Tellale) and The Last of Us 9/10 quality. So this will have to do. Nomura, I strongly advise you to look back at Kingdom Hearts 2 and what made it so great, before you work on your next main title.
