This one is honestly very tricky… It seems like SM Ent. wasn't completely sure where to go with Girls' Generation at first, and instead wanted to listen to as many opinions as they could before making a decision, specially to the ones coming from the public. It's almost as if they were so scared of failure, that they were willing to just go with whatever sounded like a potential present/future trend, or whatever the public seemed to like (Page of Swords often shows up as gossip and vigilance, so it's like they listened very closely to what was being said on the streets and took that into serious consideration when planning). Besides that, SM Ent. might've also aimed for SNSD to have more of a stable and loyal fanbase - one that would hold onto them forever, almost. The girls were pushed to provide a strong and welcoming space, where a devoted community could set down roots and stay for a long time to come. Due to that, they could've been very closely monitored and directed, as to ensure things would always go as planned.

The Girls' Generation members, on the other hand, have allowed their creativity, talents and charisma to lead. It's all about them & that stage & that confidence! All of them have very strong and captivating personalities, and so they have let those be the real stan attractors. Being unafraid to express themselves, to let loose and to be in the spotlight, has lead them to a place of power and success. It could not have been done if they had repressed their passions and strong characters. All in all, they have seeked to be their true creative selves. Trying on new concepts, new styles and new genres is also part of it, and they thrive on that change. On that same note, they hoped that people would be attracted to how they can be both strong and feminine at the same time (or even how all members show different levels of those traits in themselves). Right off the bat, the public admires how long they have lasted, and how they have been able to stay together through so many ups and downs. No matter how difficult things got, and how hopeless it seemed for them to come back as the whole SNSD, they still managed to pull through and show how united they still are. On top of that, their loyalty and support towards one another is recognized by the public, and very much appreciated. They have each others' backs and it shows. Additionally, it seems like people enjoy their solo projects as well, and could even feed their interest and love for the group through those. Their dedication to their careers outside of Girls' Generation is a big attractor, because it goes to show how passionate and talented they are, and that they don't rely solely on the group's work and name.
