AS FOR WHAT HAPPENED AFTER... honestly, i wish there were more discussions on this, because i'd like to know what others think?? time travelling is one of my favourite genres, honestly, and i like it in its many forms (especially time loop shenanigans). playing with time is such a risky thing, but it gives a lot of potential plot for the future of dr stone. so it's nice that it's open-ended, but also a little bit dissatisfying that nothing truly gets answered.

that being said: just like xeno, i think there's no changing of the past– what has happened, has happened and going back in time to change an outcome would create parallel universes. but was an outcome really changed? byakuya could've been petrified after he collected the platinum, and his descendants already began by then etc etc etc. so honestly i have no idea.

but i like gen's point about how the stone world is good to humanity:

Let’s face it, Reader is a menace. A lovable menace, sure, but a menace nonetheless. They had too many ideas, too much knowledge, and zero fear of experimenting on the people around them.

The Chain quickly realized that you weren’t JUST curious about Hyrule’s different species, you were curious about EVERYTHING. Every village you passed through was a new research opportunity.

Gorons? Reader poked at their rocky skin, tested their body heat, and theorized why they could survive on a diet of literal rocks. Zoras? Reader studied their scales, their gills, even how their body structure compared to fish. Rito?

Without modern resources, they had to get creative. Thwy used the environment, Wild’s cooking materials, and whatever spare parts the Chain had to make weapons, tools, even small gadgets.

The first time they made a small explosive, Time nearly had an aneurysm.

Stanley kept the gun pointed at her, but Xeno raised a hand, signaling him to wait.

- Did you come alone? - He asked, intrigued.

Seiko tilted her head slightly.

- Are you implying that I would need an army to get Gen out of here?

- Interesting.

It was the only warning he gave before moving forward.

Seiko noticed his movement at the same moment. Xeno was not only a scientist - his brilliant mind was also accompanied by an impressive physical capacity. He tried to grab her wrist to immobilize her, but Seiko already foresaw this movement and deviated, turning her body with agility.

Her counterattack was accurate. With a slight movement, he pressed a specific point on Xeno's arm, causing an involuntary reflex that made him let go of his attempt to grab her.

Stanley finally shot, but Seiko had already pulled Gen away, dodging the shots with an agile jump.

When the fog dissipated, Seiko and Gen had disappeared.

Stanley lowered the gun, grumbling.

- That was humiliating.

Xeno, however, didn't seem frustrated. On the contrary.

He looked at the point where Seiko had been moments before, a small smile appearing on his lips.

Stanley stared at him, skeptical.

I was wondering about your thoughts on senku having a latina s/o, I think it would be funny to see him react to s/o switching languages or throwing insults in their mother-tongue (greetings from Chile)' Age Rating: E Genre: General Notes: Ngl this prompt got away from me a touch and it ended up being more Senku with a s/o from a foreign culture -- I hope you enjoy nonetheless.

○ When Senku first finds out that a person speaks a foreign language, especially one very uncommon to Japan, he’s instantly fascinated. He’ll definitely ask them questions about where they learned it, where they’re from, and probably a few things about pronunciations that are just completely foreign to him. That being said, Senku doesn’t bombard them with those questions for the most part - generally he just listens to them while they speak, often idly while doing other tasks, and picks up on any patterns he notices.

○ If they infuse words from their native language into their Japanese Senku might be a bit taken off guard at first, but he adapts quickly enough for it to stop phasing him entirely after a few months or so. At first he learns their body language, able to figure out what they mean quickly enough - sooner than later he just remembers their native language word for the Japanese words they struggle remembering the most so he just knows what they’re saying and he can tell them the Japanese word after to help them remember it.

○ That being said, if someone uses the fact that Senku doesn’t speak their native language to say things he can’t understand he might get a bit irritated. In his opinion communication is best when it’s clear and straightforward, and speaking to him in a language he doesn’t know isn’t either of those things. Even if they’re just doing it to tease or insult him, Senku is likely to meet the goading with a ‘Eh? What was that? Huh?’ 

○ Until, of course, he can understand what they’re saying and (still in Japanese on his part) responds to them with full clarity. Between listening in idly to them speaking their native language and what research he could do on his own, if any, he manages a passable understanding of their language - especially of things they say often. Though he’s a bit smug at their shock when he responds to something they didn’t think he’d understand, he’s quick to ease any tension by explaining that he’d caught on to a lot, but he’d love any tips they might have on actually speaking the language: understanding a word and saying it correctly are two very different things.

○ If they are willing to teach Senku how to speak their language it’s a bit of a process, but he’s honestly the best student anyone could ask for. He does get frustrated when he stumbles and slips around trying to form his mouth to the right shapes, or flex his tongue to make a sound you don’t need to use in Japanese, but any time he gets annoyed with his lack of progress he gets motivated to try harder. His dedication is obvious, because he can be heard practicing difficult sounds under his breath while he’s working on science projects and blueprints.

○ Once Senku gets a basic handle on speaking the language himself he starts working on practical uses for it, of course! This ends up coming in the form of code, essentially. It’s unlikely that anyone they encounter on the island of their awakening is going to speak much other than Japanese, and the majority certainly won’t. This gives anyone able to communicate clearly in a way most people cannot understand a distinct tactical advantage. After teaching Senku, the only native speaker is tasked with teaching Gen, who is to then to help them teach others in the Kingdom of Science.

○ In a way this also honors what remains of that person’s culture after the collapse of civilization. Senku is very quick to insist that such benefit is purely passive, entirely secondary to the practical use of instating their language as the secondary language of the Kingdom of Science. While he did put so much effort into it quite as early on was practical in nature, he absolutely had that secondary objective in mind too.

○ In what feels like no time at all the one person goes from being the only person in camp using their native language, being cheeky and poking fun with words others couldn’t understand, to speaking in conversations with others eager to get a better and better grasp of a brand new language. Though it’s nothing like having a conversation with a native speaker, it is a small piece of home.

○ Along with interest in the language comes interest in where different parts of it came from and the stories behind the words. Though the amount of questions can get overwhelming sometimes, they’re an opportunity to spread stories of their home to the villagers, and introduce them fully into the world again. Senku also knows a fair few of the more commonly known tales from many places too, and is more than happy to tell a tale or two if they ever need a break.

○ Chances are the Kingdom adopts a few of the larger cultural events, either ones that are for a significant reason of respect/honour, or ones that are just a lot of fun! After learning a lot about one of those customs from the person closest to them the Kingdom would try to adopt a form of the tradition in their own way.

That happened a lot. “Quiet now please,” you tell Gen, “Xeno needs to ask you some things.” As soon as you walk into the lab, Xeno asks one strong question to Gen. “Who’s their scientist?” You see Gen freeze for only a moment, then he shouts, “DR. TAIJU OF COURSE!” That’s all Xeno needed to hear. After he calls the “junior scientist” he does something unusual to you, “will you leave for just a moment y/n?” Puzzled is the best way to describe your look, but nevertheless you left them anyway. You werent stupid though, you knew something was up, so you carefully listened in. You could barely hear their faint whispers, only getting snippets of their conversation. Junior. Stanley. Water. Gen. Target. Luna. Nitrogen. Everything else is a mystery. You see Stanley walk out and call for Luna, Carlos, and Max. Xeno slowly comes out and looks at you. “Don’t fret love,” he takes your hand and kisses it, “all will be alright.” “What’s going on Xeno? This isn’t like you.” “I just want to make sure this junior science brigade doesn’t get in the way of our plans.” He kisses your cheek and walks away leaving you more confused than you were before. You feel a tap on your shoulder, you turn to see Gen. he motions for you to get closer to him, which you do. In one small whisper, he says, “they’re going to kill Dr Taiju.” Your breath catches in your throat, but you don’t care. You start to run. You can’t let this happen! You won’t!

You make it to their ship, right as Ryusui yells, “Sniper!” Quick which one is Dr Taiju?? You frantically look, but you notice him. You’ve only met him once, but that one time was enough. Man he’s grown so much, it really felt like yesterday he was in the conference room eating the cookies you made while he waited for his father. The way he spouted about going to space with a goofy grin on his face. Boy did he remind you of Xeno. Xeno? Why was he doing this? Does he really know what he’s doing? Does he know the real scientist is Senku? Stanley’s about to strike and you need to help him! Quickly! You sprint. “Senku!” The boy’s head turned, shocked. You hear the sound of the gun. You push Senku out of the way, then, all you feel is pain. “Y/N!!”

Xeno’s face looks distraught. The fear in your eyes makes his heart ache. Xeno reaches his hand out to you. The closer his hand gets, the more fear appears on your face. “Luna you need to get out of here!” You say as you try to push her away. “Go hurry!” You hear the door swing open. “What’s all the damn commotion??” You all look to see Senku standing in the doorframe annoyed. Immediately, you run to him holding him in your arms. “Oh thank God you’re alive!” Annoyance radiates off of Senku’s face, but he still allows you to hold him. “Senku! You have to get out of here! He’s gonna try to kill you again!” Xeno reaches out to you once more, only to for you to flinch away from him. “Why’re you so afraid y/n?” Xeno asks, “I’m your husband, I l-“ “No you’re not. “Hey, Senku taught me a new game.” Chrome nudges you.

“ Oh yeah and what game would that be?” you continue to knead the dough, not looking at Chrome.

“ It's a very hard game, I’ve been so close to beating Senku.” he smirks at you, rummaging in his pocket.

“ Take a look at it.” he flashes you the cards with numbers on it.

You cover the dough and place it on the table next to the other ones that Francois kneaded, you wash your hands, looking at the cards in his hand.

“ Bingo….” -your brows furrow at Chrome- “Senku taught you how to play Bingo?” 

He nods happily, “It’s a great game we should play, I need to get better so that I can beat Senku.”

You shake your head, drying your hands off on your apron before taking it off and hanging it up in its designated area.

“And why do you wanna play with me?” you walk over to the oven checking the temperature before pushing past the curtains and walk outside. 

“ Cuz Senku told me you were easy to beat.” he smirks, pulling out more items from his pouch.

You sigh as you scan the field for Senku. “That dumbass” you whisper under your breath.

“ Fine, I’ll play with you but I know how to help you win against Senku.” you smirk at Chrome.

“Hey Senkuu!! I’m ready to play with you again.” Chrome yells while jogging towards Senku who was standing next to Taiju and Yuziriha. They were busy going over inventory, and Senku was talking to Yuzihara about making more winter clothes for everyone. Senku looks up at him, he sees you jogging behind Chrome with a grin on your face.

“Looks like he actually went to ask her about the game. You tease her too much Senku.” Yuzihara chuckles.

Taiju rubs the back of his head and laughs out loud. “Of course he would! But ya know you can’t trick her.” Taiju slaps Senku on the back.

Senku does his signature laugh as he puts his hands on his hips. “I know ya big oaf, but I like to try anyway.” he walks over to Chrome who's setting up the cards on a table.

“I'm ready for you.” -Chrome gives you a wink and a thumbs up- “I know all the tricks.”

You give Chrome a thumbs up and winking back at him. “Shall we begin Senku?” you drag out his name just a little longer.

“B64, G17, O53, I7, N-”

“BINGO!” Chrome shouts, slapping his card on the table, he throws his fist in the air.

“Woohoo! Great job Chrome!” you clap for him as you run towards him giving him a hug, you guys both jump in joy and tease Senku, sticking your tongues out.

“Blehh, we won and you looost.”

Senku just smirks and digs his ear. “Good job, I went easy on you..” he shrugs as he walks off.

“S-senku, please.” -he chuckles at you- “thought you said you could beat me.” he rubs your red ass cheek.

“B-but I already won.” you whimper as he leans down to kiss the small of your back.

You moan as he slips a finger in your wet slit.

“ That’s a good girl. I think you deserve more. Get on the bed.” he slaps your ass one more time before letting you go. You saunter towards the bed and lay down. “This is going to be a long night.”  you think to yourself.

 Senku slips off his clothes then walks towards you before pulling you into a kiss.

“One more time” he whispers in your ear and chuckles.

(CHAPTER 5) Z=153: War game

"C'mon, everyone! Let's evaluate the state of this war, okay?!" Magma exclaimed, a cocky grin plastered across his face as he pointed at himself.

"Here we go—it's prettified Magma again," Yo said, tilting his head in amusement. "But the way you're talking is almost too polite. It's freaking me out."

"Shut your freakin' trap or I'll kill you dead." Magma began, his voice trailing off as he said a suitably threatening retort.

"You showed your true colors in five seconds flat! Try committing to the act a little longer!" Yo responded, feigning surprise.

"No way, cuz I'm out to kill that piece of crap they call Dr. Xeno!" Magma declared, his eyes narrowed in determination.

"We came here for corn, right? And Dr. Xeno's the guy with all the corn. So the quickest solution is to kill that guy! Duh!" Magma said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Then, Magma, eager to enlist Yo and his weapons, started cajoling him into joining the plan to take down Xeno before anything else could happen. Mantle joined in, and eventually, Yo agreed. They were about to run off to shoot Xeno when Nikki stopped them.

"What kind of numbskulls think they can face a machine gun head-on?!" Nikki scolded the trio.

"Yeah, well, we got a superweapon of our own!" Magma shouted back, his voice filled with bravado.

"Too bad theirs has about ten billion percent more power. It'd be another story if this enemy was willing to wait around while we built our own gunpowder factory..." Senku said from the back, carrying a basket.

"Right. Let's evaluate the state of this war," Tsukasa agreed.

Meanwhile, the Perseus crew was gathered around a war table, their kingdom of science war leaders discussing their next move. With the stolen aircraft, they decided to convert the Perseus into an aircraft carrier, just in case the Americans decided to come back with planes. They began the crafting process, improving the plane with features like twisted bamboo wheels. Ryusui had a distinct feeling that by remaining stationary, they were unintentionally assisting the enemy.

"Ha ha! Exactly! If they come at us from above, then so be it!" Ryusui said with a confident smile.

'A dogfight! Aircraft versus aircraft!'

'We're turning the Perseus into an aircraft carrier! All hands on deck for this quick construction project!'

"Wow. We're really building a runway on the deck? Will it actually allow us to fly?" Minami asked the duo, Senku and Ryusui.

"Hmph, an ultra-light airplane... only needs 20 meters to take off," Ryusui said to Senku, discussing the carrier project with glint in his eyes.

"And for landings, we'll use wires to stop the plane by force! Just like on real aircraft carriers," Senku concluded.

Meanwhile, on Dr. Xeno's side.

"<No, they cannot escape. Hence the reason why we deployed the spy plane—to discourage them,>" Xeno said.

Suddenly, a gigantic woman walked past Gen while eating meat.

"<Are we gonna hunt 'em down with the plane and beat 'em into submission? Is that it?>" Maya asked.

Xeno answered, "<These poor youths are too clever for their own good. They'll be wary of such tactics and stay rooted to the spot! But no—I have a solution in mind that's more elegant.>" 

"<Keep them pinned down... and eliminate the enemy scientist,>" Xeno finished, a sinister smile playing on his lips as he glanced back at Maya and Gen.

When Gen heard these words leave Xeno's mouth, he looked at Xeno's back, his face flushed with anxiety.

"<According to our new friend, Mr. Gen, there's a single superhuman science-pro among them. As such, to bring this kiddie kingdom of science crumbling down... we need to only eliminate their leader,>" Xeno said. 

"Dr. Taiju...!" Gen thought, his face shooking in panic.

Gen continued to stare at Xeno anxiously, but...

"<Great idea, brilliant-bay, truly. B-b-but can you pull it off?!>" Gen asked, his voice trembling slightly.

Stanley and (Y/n) were leaning against the door, listening intently.

"<We can,>" (Y/n) confirmed without hesitation.

"<How EXACTLY?!>" Gen asked anxiously again.

(Y/n) glared down at Gen, her eyes narrowed with annoyance. She couldn't believe he was questioning their ability to handle the situation. Her disdain was evident as she took a step closer, her heels clicking against the hard pavement.

"<Ha?>" she scoffed, her voice laced with sarcasm. "<Are you underestimating us? Well, don't waste your time doubting us because simply—>" She paused, her expression turning serious.

Gen shook his head vigorously, his eyes wide with fear as he met the woman's intense gaze. "<N-no! Of course not, Miss (Y/n)! I didn't mean to doubt you. I was just—>" He trailed off, unable to find the right words to justify his earlier skepticism.

Stanley turned to answer, interrupting the two bickering.

"<We. Can.>"

"<Mr. Gen! When Stan and (Y/n) claim they can get the job done, there's no need to question it!>" Xeno said, placing a hand on Gen's head, startling him.

Then, Stanley and (Y/n) hurriedly dashed out the door to carry out their mission.

"<Because, they can,>" Xeno finished.

'I'm... terribly sorry... dear Taiju,' Gen thought, offering a silent apology to Taiju in advance.

Meanwhile, on the Perseus crew...

"We could give up on the corn... abandon Gen, Chrome, and Kohaku, and sail out to sea. That would save us," Hyoga suggested to the crew.

Taiju panicked and shouted, "Like we'd ever do that!"

"Of course not. But the enemy doesn't know that, that's my point," Hyoga replied.

"So we can expect them to attack without delay," Tsukasa added.

"Ku ku ku, where are our manners? Let's not make our hosts do all the work, when we can take the fight to them instead," Senku said, amused.

"A small elite unit. In that case, since Dr. Xeno is the source of their science... then our goal is to capture him!" Tsukasa concluded.

"This unit will include..."

"Tsukasa."

"Hyoga."

"Ukyo."

"Suika."

'Neither side can move its base of operations, neither side can flee. It's a science siege that could turn into a...' Gen thought.

"For one side to win..." Senku said with a terrifying smile, mirroring the one on Xeno's face.

"...It's gonna put the other's leader in checkmate."

'...Kingdom of science versus kingdom of science battle! This fight'll be determined with a breakneck attack!'

As Senku selected Tsukasa, Hyoga, Ukyo, and Suika to venture forth, Stanley and (Y/n) were also making their way through the dense forest, their weapons drawn and ready to confront any threats that might arise. The crisp autumn air was filled with the sounds of rustling leaves and the occasional snap of a twig underfoot, creating a sense of both tranquility and unease.

There is this one troupe that keeps cropping up with Stanley & Xeno that I absolutely love and I'm living for it. It's that Xeno without Stanley is actually worse off whereas Stanley without Xeno is better.

They split ways after graduation and Stanley enlists. The military is harsh and stressful but not only does he survive; he thrives. In only a few years, he climbed the ranks. He commands a special unit and the whole unit puts their full faith in Stanley fucking Snyder. 

Xeno goes to school and is faced with not only immense stress and pressure to succeed, but he has to do all of it without his only support: Stanley. We can assume this based on the heavy parallels between him and Senku. Stanley is the equivalent of Senku’s full friend group since he’s the one who’s got great stamina, brute force, and talent in skill heavy tasks. Xeno finds kinship with Senku because he sees himself in the kid, except he didn’t have a mentor to guide him. Due to the heavy parallels we can also assume he had a situation like Senku where his parental figure wasn’t around much in his life. 

All that stress, a major lack of support, and finding himself trying to make up for the sudden hole left by Stanley who's shown to be a caretaker type to him? Xeno fucking cracks. He gets through school but he’s already changed. He’s got a malice that he brings with him to NASA and it only grows with the constant pressures placed on him by those who hold him back. Those cracks start to widen. His mentality falters and we see him go from the happier, innocent, science-loving doctor who started messaging with a talented boy to a man who’s ready to sell out the whole world in order to progress. 

The manga even alludes to this quick mental degeneration as the first few times he’s shown in the flashback chapter as being dressed in all white with a more relaxed demeanor.

The first panel that shows him touting the power of science is the first time in the flashback where he’s dressed in something black.

When it cuts to him giving the dictatorship speech we see him now dressed in a black coat entrenched in shadows. Even his eyebags get more and more noticeable during this change signifying the on-going stress in his life. 

What makes this the best troupe to me is that its importance hinges on one solid aspect of Stanley and Xeno’s relationship: Stanley needs Xeno. He can command his unit as needed but goes off of the orders given by Xeno. Xeno gets kidnapped? Stanley is the only one who actually cares enough to not only chase him halfway around the world but to conduct a full on operation just to save him. Even after he’s reanimated a second time, Stanley is *always* by Xeno’s side.

There’s something silently bittersweet about the whole situation. Xeno’s the only one who makes mention that *he* holds *Stanley* back and Stanley ignores it, opting instead to continue on his path.

Actually even learns from you a little.

Finds it a little funny considering how you're always off, either out assisting or daydreaming. You're all whimsy and chill until the moment someone mentions anything about nerves or the brain.

Likes the fact that you're similar to him in a way that you both are willing to part your knowledge to others. Whenever someone asks, or doesn't understand, you happily break it down for them. This gives you a raise in his eyes.

At least now, he knows where to go if at some point the power of neuroscience is needed.

Surprised, and sweating. He just mentioned that Kaseki has some really good hand-eye coordination. Suddenly, you were talking about how signals travel through spine.

It's an interesting fact. Like a nice trivia. Little miss daydreamer has hidden stock knowledge about the nervous system enough to make her a definite neurologist in this primitive era. Luckily, there was no need to test that statement. And hopefully never any.

He does learn bits and facts from you. Although that's only sometimes because most of the time he's just wondering what the hell is a Broca's area.

But, as it's so rare to see this passionate side of you, he humors it.

Kind of observes you, you know. Nods along while you ramble, even taking advantage of it. Just hands you whatever work he was doing and you take it, too immersed in explaining to him how impulses travel through synapse.

"Is that so? That's pretty complex." he makes a thoughtful expression, putting the golden wire he was twisting into your hands. This spurs you to expound on the topic, not noticing how he's not even doing anything anymore aside from clasping his hands together and sitting back.

Hyoga is a man all about efficiency. Quick trips, and doesn't really sit down a lot. So, he didn't really notice you that much at first.

This is one way to at least catch his attention though. Though you are now dubbed 'brain girl' in his mind.

Overall, he finds your love for neuroscience an interesting trait. He used to assume you as the kind airhead aboard, but now he knows a little more than that.

Aside from that, he also genuinely goes "Hmm." and strokes his chin, like whenever you tell him a fun trivia. Like, wow, he did not know that. Very interesting.

Art is all around

So. This is probably my weakest writing. I couldn’t really think of much for a whole scenario? So I just let myself write what came to mind the same way I do Ryomina content. So, this is just a blurb of a scenario. I hope you can find something to enjoy in it regardless tho! I had zero other ideas.

To an extent, Science is an art form in and of itself, y’know? You use the tools you see around you to create and discover new things about the world. Though, of course, science has far more rules, limits, and ethics that surround that discovery and creation, but, Senku still saw the art in his beloved medium of expression.

That being said, he could admit that when it came to entertainment, science wasn’t for everyone. So, he could admit that he needed someone who knew more about the ins and outs of a more acceptable method of creativity. That, was why he stood in front of you now.

The vines and flora tangled around your petrified body to give a sense of colorful, vibrant modesty. A rather fitting way to find you. The leek-haired man thought as he stepped back from your statue, Taiju soon at his side, “Hey, don’t we know this person?” The tall brunette asked, the dvd screen saver almost visible in his brown eyes as it tried to hit the corner of the screen. Yet, Senku waved that thought off pretty easily, “Does that matter? They’re an artist, we need an artist.” “Yeah, but we’ve already got a mangaka to give us art, is this another one?” Taiju asked, quick to follow his smaller friend’s lead as the scientist began to untangle the vines and brambles from your legs. “They’re not a mangaka, but they’re an artist. We need someform of variety, taiju. If there’s only one story-teller, the stories are gonna be a bit repetitive. Like when Disney took over too much stuff and all the movies became basically the same.” He explained as he worked, but the brunette thought for a moment before he responded, “That’s a pretty bleak way to remember movies from our time…” “Taiju.” Senku huffed, his crimson eyes bored as they looked at the well-intentioned work horse. “Right. Not the point.” And, with that, the two finished digging up your statue with a deft dodge of Taiju’s attempt to blind the scientist to preserve your modesty and a splash of the revival fluid.

And, in a heartbeat, the cracks across your stoney skin began to appear. Spread across your body swiftly until, at last, the chunks of rock fell off of your newly made skin. Left behind, was the same ol’ you that Senku had known in school. “Welcome to the new stone age! Hope your art skills stuck around.” The leek chirped at you, Taiju quick to nod along with his own friendly smile. A friendly smile that, didn’t seem to do much to soothe the confusion and fear in your eyes.

Jesus, I know artists are best when they suffer, but please don’t have a breakdown.

I may or may not have exaggerated a bit. i changed it a bit, just a little bit.

Tsuki's note: i am not a manga reader so this may be coming out of nowhere on the timeline. Also, reader fixes things beacuse yes, imagine you are learning with Kaseki here. i am an engineer and i like to fix things. I projected a bit, just for the sake of plot.

Tsuki's note: i really love ryusui and i feel like i won't make him justice.... *sigh* lets see how it goes...

You were finishing a few touches in the perseus. Usually the one who did this was Kaseki, but he was busy with helping Senku with another insane project, so you took it upon yourself to finish the boat's maintenance.

Anytime you were at it, it wasn't uncommon at all to have Ryusui walking around the boat. You always took it as him being patient with wanting to sail again or just checking on your work - how it was compared to Kaseki, maybe.

But you paid him no mind. At times you would also see Francois, and they usually had something for you - some water, some cookies, something.

This time around, he was actually helping with something - Ryusui was carrying around some supply boxes, it wasn't like Taiju and Tsukasa weren't around, so you guessed he young master just felt like doing something.

The wheater was getting bad very fast. You usually got everything in a dry spot and continued later, but you were so close to being done! just a little bit! You heard Ryusui asking you to collect everything - the sky was turning darker and darker. You asked him for a few minutes, quick stuff.

Just then, it started to rain. A few droplets here and there, no big deal! You can finish this! just gotta be careful. A sigh left your lips when you noticed you needed something that wasn't around you - probably forgot to grab this tool.

So you went back inside the ship, where Kaseki usually kept the tools to fetch the one you needed. You spotted it rather quickly and as you were walking back to last bit of task, you heard a very familiar booming voice from behind you:

Ryusui: Y/N? You are drenched!

You laugh and turned around to see Ryusui staring at you.

Y/N: Well... yeah, its raining a little bit.

Ryusui: C'mon, I will have Francois fetch you some dry clothes.

Y/N: oh, just a moment, i am almost done.

As soon as you said that, you saw a glimpse of a confusion on his face:

Ryusui: But the rain is going to pick up soon, you sho-

Y/N: Yeah, I am not made of sugar, I won't melt! How about you?

You smiled at him and walked away.

You didn't hear Ryusui coming after you, so you just went back to what you were doing. By the time you were finally done, a down pour started. You could barely see in front of you.

You sighed happily - you were done! drenched but done!The rain really muffled most noises, as you didn't hear footsteps approaching you. No, you only felt a hand on your shoulder - a hand with blue marks:

Ryusui: Y/N!

You jumped. You got scared for dear life. You turned around kinda pissed at him for scaring you like that! with a hand on you chest, you felt your heart stop and restart:

Y/N: Don't do that!

Ryusui: Ah... Sorry. I called for you but you didn't answer.

Oh. You probably didn't hear him - thats how strong rain was:

Y/N: Oh... Look at that, you didn't melt!

You could see Ryusui was a bit annoyed by your comment. But he just grinned, that cocky grin that always came with the finger snapping:

Ryusui: Aha! This rain is nothing for a sailor! I was worried about this beautiful person walking alone on this heavy rain!

He motioned his hand towards you. You just blinked. He was so damn ridiculous at times, but you cannot lie you loved it.

Y/N: Ah... Thanks, i guess?

Ryusui: Let's go back inside, Y/N.

He offered his hand to you. You couldn't help but be snarky one last time as you automatically placed your hand in his:

Y/N: For someone used to water you sure run away fast from it.

Ryusui looked at you and smiled. With swift movement, he had you in his arms terribly close to him:

Ryusui: Aha! I am not running!

You felt your face burn. so close. you were feeling a mix between pushing him away and walking off or just try to find a hole then and there.

You ended up choosing to push him away or try to. Because he still had a hold of your hand, and pulled back again. You started to get a little mad and before you could give a light punch to his chest, he spun you around and caught your other hand:

Ryusui: Haha! A little rain doesn't scare me, specially when i am accompanied by such a beautiful person.

You were completely stunned. You felt your face burn even more, no words left your lips. What was he talking about? Why was he so charming?

You felt like this staring moment lasted forever. But while you were in that daze - that was actually really short - Ryusui continued talking to you:

Ryusui: Say, Y/N, what would you-

Another booming voice came from somewhere in the ship, this voice:

Taiju: Y/N! Ryusui! Where are you?

That made you both look in the direction of the voice, but you couldn't really see because of the rain. But you took this chance to push Ryusui, grab his hand and yell back at Taiju:

Y/N: Yeah! We are going back!

Ryusui was a bit surprised, he did not expect you to hold his hand and drag him along. Not when you were picking on him for not staying in the rain.

He couldn't help but smile. You were adorable! He allowed you to drag him back for shelter. Upon getting inside the ship, you were greeted by towels - a courtesy from Francois.

You grabbed your towel and quickly walked away, not daring to look around. You could hear a worried Taiju following asking if you were cold or something, perhaps a fever? your cheeks were colored.

In reality you just wanted to walk away from Ryusui. He can be stupidly charming, meanwhile you were swearing to Taiju were ok, not a fever, not a cold. you were ok.

Ryusui who was left standing with Francois smiled, while watching you walk away:

Francois: Ryusui - sama, did something happen?

The man snapped his fingers before answering:

Ryusui: Just a little waltz on the rain!

Francois smiled slightly and nodded. Ryusui couldn't help but wish he had a little more time with you outside. just a little bit more. After all he loved seeing your embarrassed face, it suited so well this time. He would never deny how much he loved when you got so shy around him, it was so cute!

Perhaps next time, you could actually dance in the rain together?

Senku

Quality time. Senku is pretty low-key with how he shows his love, and prefers the same in return. He's never going to be super physically affectionate or lovey-dovey; but he's going to want to be near you, just talking about whatever, a lot more often and for longer than he would even tolerate being around pretty much anyone else.

Gen

Physical affection; Hear me out, I bet Gen is really cuddly when he has a romantic partner. Lots of surprise hugs, cheek kisses, and hand holding. He's not especially shy about doing any of these things around other people, but it's definitely more frequent in private.

Taiju

Physical affection and words of affirmation. Seriously, dating Taiju just means a never-ending stream of hugs and cuddles and him telling you how much he loves you and how great you are.

Yuzuriha

Acts of service; Yuzuriha is a helper at her core, and it will show through in your relationship. If you have a task you're doing and she isn't busy with something else, she'll help you; and obviously, she'd greatly appreciate if you'd return the favor.

Ryusui

Gifts. I bet Ryusui is the best at gift-giving. Especially before the petrification, but even in the stone world where he can't just buy you whatever you want anymore, he still finds a way to get you things he knows you'll like.

Francois

What else would it be? Acts of service, with maybe a hint of gift giving. Francois was born to serve, so if you absolutely hate a chore, they will do it for you, you don't even have to ask- just have fun never doing the dishes again. They know just what foods you like and what you don't like and are more than happy to make you your favorite dish, so long as they have the time and resources.

Chrome

Acts of service. When he really cares about someone, he'll do pretty much anything for them. That much is clear from how he spent years trying to find something that could cure Ruri. He would do the same for you, and anything else you needed.

Kinro

Words. Kinro is a man of few words, but that just makes the words he does say all the more meaningful. When he says he loves you, that he'll always be there for you, you know he always means it.

Ginro

Physical affection. Ginro would win the award for World's Clingiest Boyfriend with the way he practically hangs off of you every chance he gets. He's definitely not the least bit shy about PDA.

Kohaku

Acts of service, but not quite in the traditional way; she isn't so good at doing chores or whatever (she might still try, though) so her acts of service are more along the lines of defending you if someone's bothering you, or carrying you if you're hurt or sick and having a hard time walking.

Tsukasa

Physical touch, but he's pretty low-key about it. He doesn't do a lot of hugs or anything (that's not to say none, but they aren't his primary way of showing affection), but smaller gestures like placing a hand on your shoulder or back and quick kisses are pretty common.

Hyoga

This one was kinda hard because Hyoga isn't exactly the loving type in general, but I'm going to say quality time. Just the fact that he's not just willing, but wants to be near you should say a whole lot about how he feels about you.

Ukyo

Words of affirmation; he tells you he loves you every day. He feels it's the best way to make sure there are no doubts as to how he feels about you.

Nikki

Physical touch; look at her and tell me she isn't amazing at giving hugs. The muscular arms that can beat the crap out of a guy twice her size can also lovingly hold you like you're the most precious thing in the world (because you are, of course). She does get shy about PDA near other people, though.

Yo

Gift giving. Yo acts tough but he can be surprisingly sweet when he really loves someone. He's the kind of guy who will search through the forest all day just to find some pretty flowers to give you. He also likes to show off your relationship and brag to everyone else about how he has the hottest girlfriend/boyfriend/partner, which I think counts as words of affirmation?

Would uplay the whole evil scientist schpiel, just imagine the most shit-eating grin imaginable looking down at you the whole time. 

When he thinks you’re not looking, his expression softens up :3

Gen Asagiri

Not only does he now know that you’re ticklish, but that you like it as well?! He’s going HAMMM

Hello girlypops! I wanted to write again so this is what I came up with. It’s a little long but I hope you enjoy. This is technically in Dr Stone 4d science but it doesn’t really have anything to do with the story. Anyway I hope you like it! Also, friendly reminder that requests are open!

Thats’s illogical! Senku x reader

It’s late at night when Senku finally leaves the lab. He’s exhausted, and he doesn’t think he has the energy to drive home. As he’s walking towards his car, he notices the coffee shop across from the lab. They can’t still be open, right? Despite for some caffeine, he walks over to the café.

You finish sweeping the lobby of the coffee shop. Sighing you look at the time. “One minute left until closing.” You stretch as you go to the back to put up the broom. As you take a quick breather you hear the bell to the door. Are you serious? You go back to the front and put on a fake smile. “Welcome in! Is there anything I can help you with tonight?” As you look at the customer, you immediately know who it is. There’s no way…it can’t really be… “Oh thanks. You’re not about to close right? I can leave if you need-“ “I’m Senku Ishigami…” Senku’s eyebrow raises. “What?” You fast instantly turns red. “No! I mean y-you’re Senku Ishigami… im just, it doesn’t matter….h-how can I help you??” Senku stares at you awkwardly, but tells you his order anyway. He tries to hand you some cash but you tell him it’s on the house. “I-I already counted the till for tonight anyway…” He simply shrugs and sits in a booth, waiting for his drink. Your mind blanks as you try to remember how to make the drink. You’re so scared about your idol being right behind you that you mess up once or twice. “H-here you go…” Senku gets up and grabs it from you, telling you his thanks. He heads towards the door when you call out to him. “Y-you can stay! I-if you want!” He turns back. “But aren’t you closed?” You blush a little more, “yeah but…it’s ok if you wanna stay a little longer…” This causes Senku to blush. He doesn’t know why, but your shyness makes his heartbeat a little faster. “Sure, why not? I still have a few papers I can work on.” He takes a seat back in the booth and pulls out some work. You softly smile and begin cleaning the blenders, happy you he can be here longer.

“So, are you a scientist too?” Senku questions after 20 minutes of silence. You weren’t expecting him to strike a conversation, but you nod anyway. “I guess you could say that, but I don’t focus on chemistry and things along those lines. I’m more into biology, especially in marine life.” Senku smiles at your statement. “Interesting. I havent met a lot of marine biologist.” You blush a little more, happy that he acknowledged you as a real biologist. “Y’know we’re doing something with marine life in the lab.” You chuckle. “I read your paper about it. Using squid ink and turning it to fuel.” “So, you really are a fan?” He teases. Embarrassed, you turn away and finish putting away the remaining food. “C-can I show you something..?” Senku finishes the remainder of his drink and nods. “Sure, why not?” You go to the back and bring back a chunky sketchbook. You sit next to him and show him all the notes and pictures of marine animals and ecosystems. Each little page was full of color and writing. Senku smiles and giggles. “This looks really good! You know your stuff huh?” You smile. “Can I tell you my opinion on your paper?” He nods. “It’s all I wanna hear.” You talk with him for what feels like forever, first it was about the paper, then about each others day, then about anything else that came to each of your minds. After a while, you hear you phone ring. “Crap! I didn’t realize it was this late!” Quickly picking up everything you and Senku walk out together. “Well, that was fun. You’re nice to hang out with. What’s your name by the way?” “(Y/n). (Y/n) (L/n)!” “Well, I hope to see you around Dr. (Y/n).” As he walks, you call him one last time. “I-if you want, you can borrow this.” You hand him your sketchbook. He smiles even wider. “Thanks (y/n). I’ll be sure to bring it back!”

The next day, Senku sits in his lab chair, flipping through the sketchbook you lent him. He smiles at the little comments and doodles you made, laughing slightly at the random, goofy facts here and there. “Senku, did you get my email about- what’re you reading?” Xeno pops in, looking at the sketchbook. “Oh, they’re notes about marine life.” Xeno looks through the sketchbook, noticing the handwriting and drawings. “This looks like (y/n)’s book.” Xeno points out. Senku shoots him a confused look. “You know (y/n)??” Xeno laughs. “Yeah, I met her at a science competition, she was the winner with her study on stingrays.” Senku doesn’t know how to respond, he just scoffs and continues flipping through the book. This makes xeno laugh again. “What? You’re mad because I know her? Or are you being possessive?” Senku chuckles. “That’s illogical! Why would I care who she talks to?  Besides it’s not like I’m her boyfriend or anything!” This peaks Xeno’s interest. “But do you want to be?” Senku’s face reddens. “T-that’s even more illogical! I just met her yesterday! It doesn’t make any sense, being in a relationship doesn’t make any sense!” He looks down at the book again, trying to hide his red face. This makes Xeno laugh even more as he walks out. “If it matters Senku, she loves to go to the aquarium, and I heard there’s gonna be an exhibit on octopi this weekend, if you’re interested.” Xeno leaves, leaving senku alone. “Tch, like I care…” He goes to his latest experiment trying to focus. But, he can’t shake your smile out of his head. “Ugh! If she wants to see the exhibit then why not? It’s not like I’m doing it cause I wanna spend time with her, it’s just so I can learn more! It’ll help my research too!” Senku claims to himself. Xeno watches Senku walk out flustered, hearing everything he just said. “Heh, whatever you say Senku…”
