you love to see how you're rubbing off on her in the way she text. she isn't adapting all of your short abbreviations for words and sayings, but she had adapted the use of you "Adorable emoji faces." as caitlyn calls them, even though you try to tell her they aren't even emojis : "Going to be picking you up in a couple of hours. Can't wait to spend the weekend with you. :D" // "But you could also do homework at my place. ;)" // "The office loved those brownies you baked! You're such a sweetheart. <3" // "Work? >:( I told you I'd take care of you. No need for you to worry your pretty little head about anything."

and when you try to send her suggestive text and decide to be risky on her phone, on her internet, older gf! caitlyn is quick to put you in your place : "Don't start something you can't finish." // "You're being a little minx today, aren't you?" // "Mhm. You're too cute when you're needy." // "Where'd my good girl go, and why has she been replaced with a brat instead?" // "A please could get you a long way."

author notes: okay, theres almost 1 month since i’ve written something for this blog and im really sorry for it (but hey, at least im 18 now and looking for a job :)). i hope this count as an apology lol. hope yall like this!

after a hard day at work, steb favorite thing to do is to lay down on your bed and just listen to you and all the sounds coming from outside your home. the raindrops were hitting softly against the window, the dark clouds blocking any source of light, no voices could be heard in the streets, a peaceful night. perfect to cuddle.

he rolled to your side of the bed, stealing some of the blanket while doing so, but now he was closer to you, sharing his warmth. you wouldn't need the blanket anymore, would you? he poked your arm once, twice. his shiny eyes looking up at you, secretly hoping you would get his intentions.

you tried to contain your smile, looking at the ceiling, not wanting to fall for his charms again. he did this every time, he annoyed you till he got what he wanted. he pushed his upper body up, using his forearm as a support. looking over you now, he blocked almost all the ceiling, still making this face, glossy eyes, pout lips and turned down ears. the same face he knew you wouldn't say no to. “urgh, fine! but give me back my part of the blanket.”

you snorted while he smiled smugly once you opened your arms, letting him accommodate himself over you, adjusting the blanket so it could shield you both from the cold atmosphere on the outside. he propped his head over your chest, taking your hand in his and kissing your palm shortly, bringing it to his hair. you knew what he meant, so you played with his hair till his ears dropped and the scales around his eyes moved softly, only reacting when your fingers touched his scalp again, letting go of any stress from earlier. he surely looked adorable when sleepy.

❥ the diner was practically empty, the only other people there were an old couple and a few waitresses. ellie insisted on sharing a milkshake with two straws, just like they do in the movies. chocolate, of course, because ellie has the diet of a five year old.

❥ walking back home was nice, ellie kept one sturdy arm around your shoulders and you wrapped one around her waist. the february chill turned ellie’s spotted nose a rosy shade of pink, and you couldn’t stop yourself from giving it a soft kiss.

❥ you agreed to cook dinner that night. one of ellie’s love languages was food, and the greatest gift you could ever give her was a warm, home cooked meal. as you cooked, she set the table and lit a cinnamon scented candle.

❥ dinner was romantic. ellie brought out the joke book and gave you a show of corny valentines themed jokes and gross pick up lines. you giggled anyways, because she had such a way of charming you.

I’m well enriched with the culture as a lot of people in my close circle are Latino/Hispanic, even one of my best friends who’s half-Black/Mexican tells me that I’m honorary?? 😭 I just love these ideas of integrating Luigi into the cultural spaces of his romantic parter who isn’t the same race/ethnicity as him

All of them getting a kick out of the pronunciation of his name, to which he reveals his childhood nickname, Pep, short for Pepperoni, and how it rhymes with his last name. That shared sense of humor he’d share with others if they’d joke about calling him and mistaking his name as Mario instead.

When the aunties/tías would just snatch him from you to introduce him to other family members, proudly showing him off and describing, “Se llama Luigi, es su novio de _____ y es italiano” / “Que guapo, que alto, que fuerte” And pinching his cheeks? Oh, they’d be smitten by him. Don’t forget them pointing out his cute little dimples. Admiring how deep and brown his eyes are, noticing his little beauty marks all over his face, and matching his wits when, in return, he’s enjoying all the attention on him and making them giggle and beam with his humor.

Your uncles/tíos would right away think the world of him, as from the start, they could confirm how much of a genuine, good-natured person he is and how much he loves you and treats you well.

Abuelita would make sure that Muchachito (her nickname for him, of endearment) would be getting fed, and that he wouldn’t have to worry about a thing, since she’ll make sure that he’s being taken care of while in her home. He’s not Luigi, but he’s Muchachito to her, and she’s Abuelita to him, too—it would be established from the very beginning.

He’d seamlessly fit in so well into the family dynamic of all parts. When you’d go over to your family’s house alone to see everyone, by yourself, they’d be also looking forward and hoping to see him tag along, too.

i mean the proof is in the pudding that's idol!cait. even with her stages she's so cait!

when idol!cait was a trainee and her early debut she was definitely known as cassandra kiramman's daughter, who is honestly in this universe some huge actress, maybe even ceo since kiramman's are generational. and that honestly pushed cait further into her career (especially since her mother wasn't pleased she wanted to be an idol and not follow in her footsteps), and we all know cait strives off of proving herself and she did just that in the industry.

idol!cait would become more known for her dance skills, capturing everyone's attention from how effortlessly she's able to move the length of her body with such ease. whenever the group gets new choreo she spends hours a day in the studio perfecting the moves. and throughout the years she's tried her hand at choreography, and found a knack for it! and because of this she uses her ability to grasp moves quickly onto you, gravitating towards you when she notices you're having trouble nailing certain moves. silently correcting anything in your form that could be hindering you ability or showing you how the move should be done herself; to then step aside, a signal to tell you to do the move in front of her, gaining a nod of approval and praise "very good." or often times she'll keep correcting you, minuscule things just so she can keep maneuvering your body for you, invading your space while doing so.

like i said in this drabble, if you're somewhere cait isn't too far behind, and being an idol would only make cait more possessive over you since the two of you have to keep your relationship a secret (you guys honestly suck at hiding it). the rest of your group mates no not to fight with cait anymore over who gets to be room with you in hotels or sit next to you because she's already always near you so there's no point and they all know cait gets grumpy when she doesn't get her way (you chose to sit next to another member on a plane once and she was sulking over it for the next few days).

idol!caitlyn loves to test her limits as well, pushing her luck with 'will we/won't we get caught?' constantly. purposely bucking her hips into your ass when she has to squeeze past you (mind you, the group is filming), tugging you off to some stage closet because how could she not press you up against the closet wall stuffing her icy slim fingers past your panties when you look irresistible in your stage outfit? and she's just so, so evil too; placing a vibe in your panties just before a fan meet, eyeing you out of the corner of her eye whenever you shuffle uncomfortably, trying your hardest to ignore the stickiness between your thighs as you thank a fan for their generous gift or when she's bored, but you're on live chatting it up with fans, she'll sneakily slide onto the bed where you lie, pushing a finger to her lips telling you to be quiet, hands raking up and down your body. she'll smirk when you push the phone closer to your face, complaint to the fans as you point out a pesky pimple forming on your forehead, and that's when she dips her hands below your shirt, groping at your tits. laying her forehead against your thigh, muffling her chuckles when a whimper falls from your lips when she tweaks at your nipples, covering it up with an unconvincing cough. idol!caitlyn loves to have her fun with you.

Don’t mention it! I blorb too much about things I really like it embarrasses me at times. I’m just glad you like my takes!! Anyway:

😭😭😭😭 this drama exists to hurt us,, I think more than dying for people he cares about (because nearly everyone who died did that), Ying Lei's characterisation and death provides a unique but tragic pov within the main cast

Ying Lei my poor Ying Lei. We don’t really talk too much about him don’t we. So let’s just talk all about him. CHARACTER ANALYSIS TIME YAY

Ying Lei is unadulterated sunshine and has a good heart. Morally, he is on the same page as the rest of the team. Yet, it absolutely breaks my heart that his fate is to be an outsider within the thematic concern of choice in FoF and resultingly, in the narrative.

His place in the overarching thematic concerns of FoF is unclear when we first meet him - he is simply a wandering half mountain god half demon with a bright disposition. But as with many characters in FoF, their appearances aren't just for naught. Ying Lei's representative theme - the freedom of choice and the ability to choose one's identity - finally shows itself in one of the most beautifully written (am biased) episodes of the series, Episode 17, which is all about choice.

In this episode, Ying Lei vents his displeasure of the Wilderness towards grandpa Ying Zhao

"I hate this place. I hate the Wilderness. It's so bleak and desolate. (…) If I have to stay here forever, I'd rather die. (…) I like the mortal world. I like everything that is vibrant and lively."

To which grandpa Ying Zhao gives him his blessing to head to the Mortal Realm,

"…as your grandfather, I respect your decision. You can be a Mountain God or an ordinary person."

His next sentence cements the plight of many demons (and humans) we encounter in the story,

"For many demons in the Wilderness, their lifelong dream is just three simple words… Have a choice."

These three words all the more juxtaposes Ying Lei's freedom to choose his identity, against every other character who faces this fate of not having a choice.

The Lie Demon, unable to say her true feelings until her moment of death, and Fei, who shares similar sentiments as Ying Lei about the mortal world,

"I'm a beast of calamity, I don't deserve to live in the mortal world. But I really like the bright lights, the liveliness and happiness, and the prosperity here." (Ep 13)

And Zhao Yuanzhou, where even in the same Episode 17, echoes Ying Lei's words,

"If this world gave me life to be manipulated by malicious energy, then I'd rather die."

Same words, but a different way out. Or there isn't one at all.

Ying Lei is the only one whose fate hasn't been carved out in stone for him. Even after Ying Zhao's death, he is still able to leave Kunlun Mountain and rejoin the team because he has the support of other Mountain Gods watching over the temple. He is by no means a pampered and spoiled person but he swims in a wealth of freedom. His bubbly, charming and affectionate personality is a physical manifestation of his unburdened self, unbeholden to any ending, except for the one that he wants.

And yet, he chooses a life with the group of people who never have had the option to choose what and who they want to be. Wen Xiao, the Baize Goddess; Zhao Yuanzhao, the vessel of malicious energy; Bai Jiu, determined to bring his mother back; Pei Sijing, the forced breadwinner of her family's martial heritage. To show his determination to be with this group, he never again dons the mature get-up (full sleeved robes and long hair) - his representation of maturing and accepting his responsibility as a Mountain God - after returning back to the Mortal Realm. Rather, he dons the get-up he first roamed the Mortal Realm with (or similar), metaphorically putting aside all that celestial burden in exchange for the friends that he desires. Just who in the group can as easily shed their very roots and history? His precious freedom to choose ironically makes him the outsider in a group whose only wishes are to be able to choose.

He gets along with the team, but no matter how many times he ties the knot of fate around them, these people were never his fate to begin with. Fate found the rest of them and demanded they be bound. Ying Lei wrestles that rope of fate, trying to get in, albeit with rejection. The narrative demonstrates this:

The team was initially formed without him, and he joined later them of his own accord - his own choice - while the others literally were forced to sign a death contract to be together. In the later episodes, his affection for Bai Jiu is often overshadowed by Bai Jiu's respect for Zhuo Yichen. He also continually tries to get both Bai Jiu and Zhuo Yichen's approval - head pats, anyone? Zhao Yuanzhou doesn't trust him to look after the dragon scale. In their conversation with Bing Yi, their team count is five, instead of six. His closest companions within the team are each other's confidants.

Even at his very end, the narrative still denies him a fate with them. He dies for Bai Jiu who is the only person he loves wholly, and fades away before Bai Jiu wakes from his coma. Neither gets to say goodbye. Bai Jiu who genuinely mourns his death, dies for Yichen. In a story where the cyclical nature of fate runs deep, there is no thread of fate that leads back to him. There is no resolution or reciprocation for Ying Lei's soul and sacrifice. Every thread is cut and never retied, no matter how he tries. Siheng has Sijing left to remember him. Yichen keeps Baijiu close to his heart. Wen Xiao and Yichen wait for Zhao Yuanzhou to return. But no one truly reminisces Ying Lei. The only people to do that are dead.

Ying Lei's tragedy lies in his freedom to choose. In a world where most fate is predetermined and choice is a scarcity, his death is all the more painful as every act is a conscious choice toward an unknown end. He carries a burden after all - the burden of writing his own story. And he braved each step with that brilliant smile of his.

In Sagau I imagined the statues of the creator to have an aura around it. Like it changes depending on their mood. so sometimes people will visit the statues to feel closer to the creator or to talk to the statue. It would be customary to visit the statues when one is really happy to share their happiness with the creator. Which would cause little bursts of happiness within the creators everyday life.
