I've had a massively miserable day and thinking about Steddie fluff is keeping me sane. I feel like when one of them comes home drained, aches in their bones, exhausted, they give each other a little time to decompress but then the soothing happens after. Eddie would come home and collapse on the bed and after his mental decompression, Steve comes in and gently tugs hic clothing off and leads him to the shower so they can wash up together. Steve washes and conditions Eddie's hair because Eddie purrs like a kitten when Steve massages his scalp. He takes time to wash every inch of skin, fingers digging into the tense muscles to relax them until Eddie is a puddle. After they dry off, he brushes Eddie's hair and orders take out from his favorite place. Steve puts on Eddie's favorite movie and they cuddle up together under a blanket eating take out and after the movie they go cuddle in bed until they fall asleep.

When Steve comes home like that he just needs quiet for a bit. His head is killing him so he usually shuts away in the bedroom and grabs the aspirin and water Eddie leaves in there for him. Eddie will seek him out after some peace and quiet though and he'll coax Steve down stairs where the lights are down low and there is some soft music playing. It's usually a light dinner, soup or something because he knows Steve's stomach is still a little sensitive after a migraine. While he eats, Eddie rubs his shoulders and neck, getting rid of any left over tension and after Steve is done eating they head to bed and Eddie helps Steve get comfy under the blankets before crawling in with him. Steve would curl up on Eddie's chest and fall asleep listening to Eddie reading Lord of the Rings to him and his heart beat.
