Naaah. One of the many things I learned watching my parents growing up is that it's good to have favorite snacks your significant other totally hates. That way you don't have to worry about them stealing the last of something you really want to have.

Any version of Batman! CAUSE I LOVE BATMAN!

Okay, I have an undying love for Batman. He’s one of maybe 2 or 3 DC heroes I love, so I’m going to list favorites from different movies

Favorite Male Character - Batman: Christian Bale’s/Frank Miller’sThe Joker

Favorite Female Character - Catwoman: Eartha and Anne’s

Least Favorite Character - The Penguin. What. The fuck. Is the point? I just can’t get behind him. And Jim Carrey’s Riddler, as well as Ah-nold’s Mr. Freeze. The Joker.

Favorite Ship: Bruce/Selina. I just like the chemistry they have.

Favorite Friendship: Alfred and Robin, in almost any incarnation.

Favorite Quote: “You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?”“Whatever doesn’t kill you simply makes you…stranger.”Random Batman impostor: What’s the difference between me and you?Batman: I’m not wearing hockey pads. 

Worst Character Death (if any): Oh hell…Okay, biggest “OH GOD WHY?!” moment came when Rachel died. I can’t lie, I screamed in the theater and almost cried.The worst as in most campy? Joker’s death in Tim Burton’s ‘89 Batman 

This made me so happy you have no idea Moment: When Alfred got to see Bruce. I teared up.

Saddest Moment: Batman Begins. Bruce Loses his parents.

Favorite Location: Hmmm…Okay, I don’t even remember which novel it was, but Bane and Batman were having this EPIC fucking fight in a warehouse and it was just one of those scenes I read and pictured, and it was amazing.

I want to explain why the Joker is in both the favorite male characters and least favorite characters.

As an antagonist, the Joker is so goddamned perfect. The man is practically the polar opposite of Batman, what happens when a man is so completely broken he snaps, but goes to the other extreme as a result. He’s so completely horrifying, when you think about it.

Here is a man with absolutely no rules, no boundaries, no morals, nothing to stop him from wreaking havoc on his terms alone. Money doesn’t sway him. Nothing does. That’s what makes him a great character. He’s a nightmare come to life.

And all of the above, plus his abusive nature, his complete lack of empathy, etc, are what make him a horrible fucking person in the comics and movies. He’s sickening, a personification of ideas we call evil. You’re not supposed to like the Joker. And you don’t. You hate him for everything he does.

So yeah…I’m sorry this turned into an essay, but that’s been floating around in my head for a long time.

That’s not you being an asshole, that is your instinct to protect yourself coming in. The real asshole was that guy. If anything everything should be blamed on him for being an abusive fuck on the bus toward that girl.

I guess, but like... I keep thinking about how often men are violent towards women and what a sick dynamic it is, and how it's just not stopping. And my main problem is, when I am considering getting into a situation that could be dangerous, I freeze for a couple seconds and imagine how it might go for me, and it's always the worst case. So I just immediately envisioned myself all bloody and facepunched and I stayed in my seat. And I just am upset with myself for not doing anything. I've never been in a fight, at all, not even with my brother (he bit me once but we never actually threw punches, we just sort of shoved each other) and I was really scared of getting hurt...but somebody was actually getting hurt while I was considering the potential that I might get hurt. That's what bugs me.

It's just gonna take me some time to forgive myself for this, honestly.

i honestly think she had no idea what she was saying which obviously doesn’t excuse it and obviously intention doesn’t matter in cases like this….but I don’t actually think she was being malicious, just ignorant and privileged

this is exactly what I think, honestly.  she's funny but she is, at her core, ignorant and privileged and she's created a sphere in which she is lauded for this.  liking problematic things ftw~

If you do it on the stove top and not the microwave, they come out perfect.

I don't think I could ever cook grits in the microwave...There's just something not right about that. Plus, microwaved food never tastes as good as food made on the stove top.
