Preventive Maintenance
The Importance of Truck Preventive Maintenance in Dallas: A Comprehensive Guide
Truck preventive maintenance plays a critical role in keeping commercial fleets and individual vehicles running smoothly and efficiently. For companies in Dallas, such as Texas Truck Repair, ensuring trucks receive routine maintenance not only extends the lifespan of vehicles but also prevents costly breakdowns and repairs. This article delves into the key factors that impact truck preventive maintenance in Dallas, exploring various aspects such as truck maintenance, diesel truck maintenance, and the challenges involved.
Tumblr media
Why Preventive Maintenance is Essential for Trucks
Preventive maintenance involves regular servicing and inspections to ensure vehicles remain in top condition. For truck owners, especially those operating heavy-duty trucks, this is vital. Preventive maintenance addresses common truck issues such as brake repair, electrical system malfunctions, and engine repair before they escalate into significant problems.
In Dallas, where commercial trucking is a backbone of local industry, maintaining trucks is essential for businesses to minimise downtime and optimise operations. Texas Truck Repair emphasises the importance of this proactive approach by offering a variety of maintenance services, from oil changes and tire repair services to transmission fluid changes and welding repair.
Key Factors Influencing Truck Preventive Maintenance in Dallas
1. Truck Maintenance and Servicing
Regular maintenance ensures trucks operate safely on Dallas roads, reducing the chances of breakdowns. Preventive maintenance often includes routine checks on diesel engines, brake systems, and vehicle diagnostics. These checks allow mechanics to identify minor issues such as leaks or cummins x15 fuel pump problems that could potentially lead to more severe damage.
At Texas Truck Repair, technicians also assess the condition of truck body parts, ensuring there is no structural damage that could compromise safety.
2. Mechanical and Electrical System Issues
A significant portion of preventive maintenance involves inspecting and repairing the electrical system and mechanical components of trucks. Trucks often encounter electrical problems that affect lights, sensors, and control systems. Addressing these issues early on prevents more extensive and expensive electrical failures down the road.
Mobile brake repair and brake line repair services are another crucial element of maintenance. Whether on the road or at a repair shop, brake systems must be checked regularly to prevent failures, which can lead to accidents or costly emergency repairs.
3. Welding Repairs and Bodywork
Trucks, especially service body trucks, require regular attention to their bodywork. Routine welding repair, such as structural welding, ensures that the truck’s frame remains intact and secure. For those looking for specialised work, Texas Truck Repair offers services like cast iron welding to address structural issues, helping to avoid further deterioration.
Routine bodywork, like repairing semi-truck parts or truck accessories, keeps trucks in peak aesthetic and functional condition, preventing rust and other long-term wear.
4. Flexible Finance and Budgeting for Maintenance
Maintaining a fleet of trucks can be a costly endeavour, which is why businesses must consider the financial impact of regular preventive maintenance. Flexible financing options allow companies to spread out the cost of essential services like engine repair, diesel works, or clutch repair, making it easier to stay on top of maintenance without breaking the bank.
Additionally, Texas Truck Repair offers cost-effective solutions that help truck owners balance immediate repairs with ongoing maintenance, ensuring long-term savings.
Tradeoffs and Challenges in Truck Preventive Maintenance
Maintaining trucks involves striking a balance between cost, convenience, and thoroughness. Some owners may be tempted to delay preventive services to save money, but this often leads to more expensive breakdowns and emergency repairs later on. For instance, neglecting routine wheel alignment or tire repair services can cause tires to wear unevenly, increasing the risk of blowouts or other damage.
Another challenge is the time investment. While preventive maintenance minimises major breakdowns, it requires regular downtime, which can disrupt schedules for businesses reliant on timely deliveries. However, the tradeoff between routine servicing and costly repairs, such as a semi truck restoration, is clear—taking trucks off the road for preventive maintenance reduces the likelihood of emergency repairs.
The Role of Emergency and Mobile Repairs
Despite best efforts at preventive maintenance, emergencies do happen. In these instances, having access to reliable emergency truck repair services, like those provided by Texas Truck Repair, is critical. From semi truck towing to on-site diagnostics, mobile services are an essential part of the modern truck maintenance ecosystem.
Mobile repairs, including mobile brake repair and mobile truck diagnostics, offer truckers flexibility and rapid response times, allowing them to avoid significant delays caused by mechanical failures.
The Importance of Partnering with Professional Truck Repair Shops
Choosing the right partner for preventive maintenance is essential. Texas Truck Repair stands out in the Dallas area for its commitment to providing comprehensive truck and trailer repair services. From diesel tank maintenance to ac repair, the range of services ensures every aspect of a truck is covered.
Experienced mechanics can also help diagnose more challenging issues, such as valve adjustment or truck transmission repair, reducing the risk of major malfunctions.
Tumblr media
Making Informed Decisions About Preventive Maintenance
When it comes to truck preventive maintenance in Dallas, proactive planning is key. Balancing costs, time, and truck availability can be challenging, but the long-term benefits far outweigh the initial investment. Regular maintenance ensures vehicles stay roadworthy, reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns, and increases overall efficiency.
For truck owners and fleet operators, working with trusted professionals like Texas Truck Repair can make all the difference. From routine checks to diesel repairs and welding services, their expertise ensures your trucks are always ready for the road. By prioritising preventive maintenance, truckers in Dallas can keep their vehicles in top condition and minimise costly repairs.

Maybe it was just dumb luck.
My dad has been promising me that his old ford pickup was gonna be mine when I got my license since I was ten. However, not long after my sixteenth birthday, he randomly decided that his promise had conditions.
I had to fix it myself.
I had been putting off working on it for years. I just didn't have the time, and it needed a lot of work. The list of things to be fixed was long, and I knew if I started then, I wouldn't have finished.
Finally, the time presented itself for me to start. I finally had a summer that wasn't so busy, so I decided in May of this year I was finally going to do it.
I was finally going to get my own truck.
So I did; I worked on it for two long months. Two long months spent in the garage on my back under the heavy pickup with my hands covered in soot and oil whilst sweat dripped down my face. Two long months spent fixing the paint job and fiddling around under the hood, my hair tied back to keep it off my neck while the sun beamed through the opened garage door.
I finally felt confident enough to take it out for a test drive today. It was starting fine in the garage, and I'd driven it around the block a number of times without fail.
I excitedly hopped in the driver's seat and shut the heavy door, jamming my keys into the ignition and grinning at the sound of the roar when the engine started. I made it pretty much across town without a single problem, and I thought I was in the clear.
So, maybe it was just dumb luck when not even an hour later, here I am, standing on the side of the road next to said pickup with the hood popped and smoke coming out of the cabin.
Or maybe, just maybe, it was dumb luck when I realized I was only three blocks away from an auto shop, and a guy pulled over to help drag my car there.
It felt like forever when we finally reached the parking lot. The red and white sign that hung over the opened garage doors read 'sturniolo's auto-repair".
For the most part, the slots were empty, except for a 58' baby blue Impala that was suspended off the ground, and a brand new silver Subaru outback that sat right next to it.
As we finally pushed it into the open slot on the far end of the garage, I let out a sigh of relief, wiping the sweat off my forehead with one hand and letting them both rest at my sides.
I thanked the stranger for his assistance and he wished me luck, mumbling about how much a repair on a truck like this was going to cost before wandering off. I scowled at him as soon as he turned away from me.
Walking away from the smokey and damaged shell of a car, I pushed open the clear glass door into the entry-way of the shop, and the sound of the ringing bells that were carefully tied at the top of the door filled my ears.
Near the desk stood two boys, both were brunettes that roughly stood at the same height. The first was wearing a red toyota nascar cap backwards over his brown hair, as well as a black tank top and a navy blue mechanic's suit that hugged his frame. The name patch on the chest of it read "Matt". He was speaking to another customer, flailing the rag around as he emphasized his points with his hands.
The other was standing behind the counter, a gray bandana tied around his head. He wore a navy blue button up that he left completely open with the sleeves rolled up to his forearms, making the white tank top he wore under it visible.
The name patch on his chest read "Chris", and a white rag was thrown over his shoulder. A plethora of keys were hooked to a red carabiner that hung around the belt loop of his jeans. The desk hid his lower half below his waistline, and as I stepped closer, I saw a toothpick in between his teeth and his eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he jotted down words on a yellow notepad with a pencil.
I slowly walked up to the desk, my arms at my sides. He didn't raise his head to look at me, he just continued writing, so I cleared my throat.
His head shot up, and his expression fell into embarrassment.
"Fuck- sorry, I didn't hear you come in. How long ‘v you been standing there?"
I laughed lightly and shook my head. "Not long, I just walked in."
A smile painted itself onto his face as he set the pencil down and put his hands in his pockets just far enough that his thumbs still stuck out. "What can i do for ya?" He asked kindly, the toothpick in his mouth moving as he spoke.
"My truck broke down three blocks ago and wouldn't start. I tried looking under the hood to see the problem, but it was smoking, so I pushed it here." I explained, my hands finding each other and clasping together at my front.
He raised his eyebrows and tilted his head slightly. "Jesus, you wheeled it all the way here?" He asked, laughing breathily when I nodded my head in response. "Atta girl. What kind of truck is it?"
"A ford pickup," I responded all too quickly, my voice strained as I tried to ignore how my heart swelled in my chest from the impressed look on his face. He nodded as he opened the drawer next to him and pulled out a ballpoint pen, picking up the notepad once again to start writing. "What year and license plate?"
"85', boston plate, the number is 289 BTO. " I watched as he wrote mindlessly, the handwriting barely coherent.
"'M kay, I'll take a look at it for you." he said, setting the notepad and pen back down on the counter. He opened his palm, gesturing for my keys, and I dropped them into his grasp. He hooked the ring that held them together around his index finger.
"Wait here, should only be a couple minutes."
I nodded as he circled around to the end of the desk, walking past me and pushing open the door to the garage.
His absence gave me a chance to examine the decor of the office space. Family and baby portraits crowded on top of the counter below the window behind the desk. A mickey mouse clock sat above the side door, and a large OPEN sign hung in the window.
The wall was crowded with plates and signs. One that caught my eye was an eagle with its claws digging into a hanging mirror, the name HARLEY DAVIDSON displayed in bright orange letters above the eagle's head. Next to the register was a small bell with a sign that said "ring for service" and the words 'don't actually' were scribbled in sharpie above.
Just when I was getting lost in thought, I heard the door bells jingle a second time, and Chris walked back in. The rag was now hanging loosely in his palm as he approached the counter. He stood right next to me, reaching over for the notepad and throwing the rag back over his now bare shoulder, which is when I realized he had discarded his button up. My eyes dart down to see the keys to my truck now hanging on a different belt loop on his jeans.
"From what I can see," he starts, popping the cap of the pen off and leaving it in between his teeth as he spoke. "It looks like a coolant leak. The combination from the antifreeze leaking and the heat of the engine is enough to make it smoke, but it's not enough to cause the engine freeze up." he explains, his eyes meeting mine every couple of words to make sure i understand. "So, it could also be a fuel pump problem combined with the leak."
I nodded, chewing my lip nervously as he went on to explain the time the repair would take as well as the cost. When the words, "not finished until at least tomorrow" left his lips, I huffed in defeat, and tried to make my disappointment less evident as i crossed my arms in front of my chest.
"How long have you had it?" He asked, now leaning against the counter next to us with one elbow, crossing one foot over the other.
"I've only started to work on it this summer, but it's been my dads since before i was born."
He nodded. "It's a pretty ride," he confessed. "I honestly expected it to look worse when you said 85', but the conditions not bad. You been workin' on it a lot?"
"As much as I can." I shrugged.
He complimented the paint job, to which i confessed i'd done it, and he gushed. "Christ, you should work here. Matt can't paint to save his life. You could probably get him out of a job,"
Matt sent a glare his way. "Shut up, kid. Dad would fire you over me any day, especially if you keep sleeping in."
Chris laughed, a genuine sound that made Matt's glare turn into a small smile before he went back to rifling through the file cabinet.
He turned back to me, pausing to look back over the notes he'd written down. "If i had to guess, I'd say we can probably have it to you by tomorrow evening." he said, looking away from the paper and averting his gaze to instead look me right in the eye. "That work for you?"
I nodded slowly. Suddenly, the issue of a ride home became extremely apparent, and an anxious feeling started to blossom in my chest.
"Good. Just one more thing. . ." he pauses to take the pen cap out of his mouth and place it back on the pen, tapping it against the curve of his hand and grinning wildly at me.
"i'm gonna need your number to let you know when its finished."
He's just asking because he's supposed to; because he literally has to in order for me to get my car back. But regardless, i felt heat rise to my cheeks as i started shifting uncomfortably in place.
"Right," I said, moving to reach for the pen. He points to a blank part of the notepad, tapping lightly to tell me where to write it.
Quickly and shakily, i write out the numbers with dashes. I hand it back to him, and a smile tugs at the corners of his mouth. He rips the sheet off the notepad in one swift motion and folds it in half, placing it in his back pocket.
He glances towards the clock. Its nearing seven. He turns back to me, "d'you have a ride home?"
My eyes went wide. I'm reminded of my attempt to call my dad three times when the truck initially broke down, and how my shoulders slumped in defeat at the sound of his voicemail playing repeatedly.
I glance back over to him, ". . . Not exactly. I'll probably just catch the bu-"
"I can drive you,"
I swallowed, my lips slightly parted in surprise. His grin was still wide, awaiting my response.
It was a sweet offer, really. But considering my house was across town, partnered with the fact that he was literally on the job, i shook my head. "That's really sweet, thank you, but I'm far. And you're working, anyway." He shrugs, glancing at the clock once more. "It's fine, Matt's on desk duty and he's closing tonight. I don't mind."
I chew my lip. I'd be stupid to pass up on a ride, but i barely know this kid, and if my dad sees me rolling up with him and no truck, it wouldn't look great.
And then I think about the hour long bus ride that would be in the near future if I declined.
I screw my eyes shut. "You know what? Why not."
Despite the scenario i was in, my mind was pushing out any and all nerves as I watched Chris collect his things from behind the desk. He pulled his wallet, shop keys and jacket out of a cubby.
The two of us walked back into the garage and over to Matt, who was washing his hands in a sink bellow the tool shelves.
Chris bid goodbye to his brother, who looked at the clock and then frowned, turning the faucet off and reaching for the roll of papers towels.
"You're seriously slacking off? I already covered for you and Nate leaving early last weekend." He complained, discarding the wad of paper towels he'd used to dry his hands into the trash bin below.
Chris shot him a look. "And then i covered your sunday morning shift because you were hungover. You owe me."
Matt rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just put your tools away when you open tomorrow. It drives me fucking insane when you leave them everywhere."
Chris salutes. "Roger that." He turned to me and winked, gesturing to follow him through the garage with a tilt of his head.
I followed behind him as he went out a different exit; this one leading to a parking lot on the back of the building. A large EMPLOYEE PARKING sign hung on the fence near the driveway.
He fiddled with the many keys on his carabiner before finally finding his and walking towards a car near the opening in the gate.
A blue, four-seater, convertible 65' mustang. The light from the setting sun literally reflected off of it. He mindlessly stuck the key into the passenger side door, twisting and pulling it open with a faint click.
He gestured his hand towards the seat playfully, "Ladies first."
I rolled my eyes, placing one foot on the floor of the car and ducking my head to sit down. "How gentlemanly of you,"
He grinned at me, closing the door and walking around the back of the car before popping into the driver's seat.
"This is.. wow." I mutter, admiring the small details and cleanliness of the car as he closed his door and threw his belongings in the back. "Jesus, this is yours?"
He smiled proudly, his tongue darting out to dampen his bottom lip. "All mine,"
His fingers twisted the key into the ignition and the roar of the engine made the car buzz against my feet. He rolled both of our windows down, the summer air blowing smoothly through the car.
His smile was wider and prouder than ever as he glanced into the rear view mirror, throwing an arm over the back of my seat to glance behind him as he reversed. We pulled out of the parking lot and turned left onto the main road, Chris letting the steering wheel slide back into place under his palm by itself once he'd done so.
"You said you were far," he mumbled. "What area are you in?"
The question pulled me back into reality. I'd gotten so distracted by the way he drove so carelessly, like he was completely relaxed and in control of everything movement the car made, like fear didn't even exist to him as he pressed harder onto the gas pedal with his foot, my eyes choosing to ignore the way the tic on the speed meter start to spike.
His jawline was illuminated in the dim light, and the toothpick that was still resting on his lips stayed moving as he spoke gently, waiting patiently for me to answer.
I started giving him directions, and he listened carefully and intently, glancing over to look at me to make sure he understood my instructions. Once we were on the freeway, he went even faster, lane switching if someone in front of him wasn't going as fast as he'd like them to.
Soft giggles left me as he did, basking in the view of his lips parted into a smile, showcasing pearly teeth between pink lips.
Once he pulled onto the off ramp and we were stopped at a red light, he turned to look at me again, the bright red turning the car a faint shade of crimson.
"What time do you need to be back?"
He asked with a tone of voice he hadn't used till now. The sudden lowness caught me off guard as I shrugged, "'Dunno, not for a while."
He hummed in acknowledgement. "You wanna stay on the road for a bit?"
I pull my knees up to my chest and let my head fall against the headrest, a careless smile on my face. "Definitely."
And we did; we ended up back on the highway pretty quickly, blasting music through a speaker Chris had propped against the dashboard.
His speed only got higher and higher as time went on, carelessly resting one hand on the wheel whilst the other gripped the gear shift. At some point, his hand had mindlessly traveled to rest on my upper bare thigh below the hem of my shorts, cold and partially ringed fingers pressing against my skin.
"Will you do me a favor?"
I raised my eyebrows and hummed in response. He gestured towards the glove box. "Theres a pack of camel blue 99s in the glove box, would you grab em for me?"
I bit my lip. "Depends, you sharing?"
"Duh."
I leaned forward, feeling my stomach flip when his hand didn't much as move an inch on my thigh, brushing against my lower stomach as I lurched forward to fiddle with the glovebox.
I propped it open and grabbed the pack and paused, "d'you have a light?"
He nodded. "Should be one in there."
I learned more forward and reached farther back, glancing around before locking my eyes on a silver flip top lighter and grabbing it. Once i lean back up, Chris is pulling into an empty lot. His hand leaves my leg to push the gear into park, and i try not to frown.
I flick the top of the cig carton open and hastily pull one out, dropping it into Chris's palm.
He places it hazardly between his lips and turns to face me, silently asking for me to light it.
I pop the lid of the zippo open and hold the flam to the end of his cig, waiting to pull away until his expression signifies that its lit enough. His expression relaxes as he breathes in before pulling it away from his mouth with two fingers and exhaling, the smoke filling the car.
"If I'm honest, I prefer marlboro reds." I say quietly in an attempt to break the silence, watching Chris flick the ash out the window lazily with his thumb and index finger. He shakes his head. "Camels are undeniably better."
I laugh lightly and raise my eyebrows in amusement. "No accounting for taste, I suppose."
He takes another drag before holding it in between his fingers in front of my face, and Instead of reaching for it, I place my lips around the filter while it's still in his hand. Our eyes lock while I breath in sharper, the cool feel of the smoke filling my chest.
He licks his lips, and for a moment, his eyes dart down to look at mine, and he's starts he's studying my face. I'm doing the same.
His eyes are bright blue, surrounded by thick lashes, which are barely visible with stray pieces of his hair hanging down below the bandana on his head. Freckles lightly paint his noise, and his pink lips are slightly parted as his eyes scan my face.
"I like your piercing," he finally says, pressing his one hand to his eyebrow as if he had one himself. I breathe out the smoke i'd been holding in my lungs and smile at him. He's still looking at it as he speaks again, "Did it hurt?"
I shrug. "Not really," Because it didn't, but also because I'd feel like an idiot saying it did. "Just a pinch."
He nodded slowly. "Hm."
I take another hit from the cig which he's still holding up to my lips. Our faces are closer now. One of my elbows is resting on the center console as I look at him through my lashes.
"You should get one." I say.
He laughs, breathy and genuine. "Yeah? You think so?"
"Mhm," i reach my hand up to graze above his eye with two fingers. "It would look good on you." He watches my movements. "We'd match, too."
He digs his teeth into his bottom lip, finally moving the cig back to his own lips and taking one more long drag before carelessly discarding it out the window.
All too quick, he's facing me again, and he leans even closer. I can feel the warmth of his breath on my face. My heart is thumping loudly in my chest, and a part of me thinks he can hear it.
Before I can even blink, he places his fingers on my chin and tilts his head, smashing his lips against mine hard.
Its all teeth at first, clashing messily as his hand leaves my chin and rests as the base of my neck. My hands are on his face, my fingers messing with the curls at the back of his neck while he grins against my lips.
He lightly bites my bottom lip, taking the opportunity to slide his tongue into my mouth. He tastes like cherry and camels, and I feel myself whimpering at the contact.
"Fuck," he mumbles into my mouth, and his tone is exasperated, partly because the console between us is making it harder for him to kiss me like he wants to, and partly because his attempts to pull me close enough for our chests to press together have been unsuccessful.
His hands reach down to tug at the belt loops of my shorts, trying to pull me onto his lap. I pull away for a second to push myself over the console, Chris's grip on my hips staying firm to assist me. I duck to avoid hitting my head on the roof of the car, and Chris giggles lowly.
I finally relax once I'm comfortable in his lap, straddling his legs below me. One of his hands is across my lower half, sliding his hand into my back pocket, and the other rests in the middle of my back, holding me in place.
We're kissing again, and this time it's more lips and tongue then teeth, but he's still lightly tugging at my lip.
I'm tugging at his hair as I push myself closer to his lower abdomen, pressing down, which elicits a groan from him. He pulls away from me, and I try to follow his lips with a whine, but he tugs at the back of my hair lightly so he can press kisses from my jaw down to my neck.
I'm already whimpering as soon as his teeth press against my throat, and he digs them deep, kissing the mark once he's satisfied with the shade of purple its turned before finding a different spot to do the same thing.
"Chris, fuck- please."
I can feel him below me, and it's making me crazy. He doesn't budge, even as I continue to whine breathlessly at him.
He only grins as he continues to nip at my skin, and i felt the smirk on his face against my throat. I tangle my fingers in his hair and tug as a silent plea. "What s' it, baby?"
Baby.
I practically keen at the nickname. He finally pulls away, a string of saliva connecting his lips to his previous spot on my neck. He grins proudly at the marks he's left before looking at me again.
"What d'you want?" his tone is cocky and assertive. His lips look red and bitten, and I start to feel embarrassed at the fact that we were sucking face so lewdly in a literal parking lot.
I want to squirm and writhe away under his gaze, but his knuckle tight grip on me won't let me. I fiddle with the neck of his shirt and avoid looking at him as i whisper, "I need you."
He grins madly. "How d'you need me, sweetheart?"
I lean forward and press my lips back against his, and he entertains for a little before tugging my hair lightly to pull me back. His fingers grip my chin, holding me in place to look at him.
"Tell me what you want."
I brush my hand against his belt buckle. "I wanna suck you off,"
It came out in a mumble, but he understood, nodding somewhat cockily with a shit-eating grin on his lips. A groan left him as he tugged me even closer so our chests were pressed together. "Yeah?"
I nod eagerly, another 'please' ready to escape my mouth as my impatience grows. He ducks his hand between the seat and the door to push it farther back, "On your knees, then."
I obliged immediately, sliding off his lap to rest on my knees below him. My elbows rest on either side of his legs as my hands flew to his belt, unbuckling it and tugging at his jeans and boxers.
He lifted his hips lightly to assist me. I pulled them down until they rested around his ankles, and I feel myself gawk.
He's big. Bigger then I expected.
A nervous feeling bubbles in the pit of my stomach, but the way he's looking down at me through hazy vision makes it vanish even quicker, and I wrap my hands around his length.
"You okay?" He asks, moving his hand to rest on my cheek, his thumb soothingly pressed on my temple.
"No- yeah, i'm good." I breathe. I hover myself over him, finally taking him into my mouth. A string of curses leave him in a hushed breath, and his head moves to rest at the back of my head to coax me farther down.
I pull back slightly, wrapping my lips around his tip and sucking lightly. His chest is rising and falling quickly above me, and his labored breathing is music to my ears.
His cock is heavy on my tongue, and its addicting. I take him farther down my throat, hollowing my cheeks to fit as much of him as i can while my hand is in a fist around his base. I bob my head and twist my hand, looking up at him to see his flushed face as he pants.
"Fuck, you look so pretty like this." He babbles, a throaty moan leaving him when I twist my hand faster, swirling my tongue along his cock as my head rises and falls.
I hum around his dick at the compliment, the slight sting on my scalp from him pulling my hair only pushing me to do more. He pushes me down slightly, and i choke at the burn of his tip making contact with my uvula.
I moan loudly on him at the feeling, tears building in my eyes as the vibration from the noises i'm making cause him to throw his head back, a blissed out expression on his face. "Fuck, so good. Just like that, god."
Drool seeps from the corners of my mouth as I speed up all my movements. Chris is a breathy, moaning mess above me, watching me through lidded eyes as I glance up at him.
He moves his other hand to rest on the side of my face, grinning at my fucked out appearance. "Fucking filthy girl, aren't you, baby." He says through gritted teeth. "You love this, don't you?"
I whine at him, furrowing my eyebrows in pleasure to say "yes', and watching as his eyes roll lightly back in his head when i start to suck lightly at his tip again.
My hand falls from his base to lay on his leg, the other holding the bottom of his shirt in my fist. I try to push my head farther down, whimpering faintly at the stretch.
Chris's hips jerk up lightly at the sensation, causing him to push himself down my throat until my lips hit the base. I start to choke, but I breathe heavily through my nose, screwing my eyes shut and hallowing my cheeks out to stop myself from pulling off.
"Fuck!" he grunts loudly, his grip on my hair turning animalistic. He mindlessly mutters out curses and praise as he pushes my head up and down with his hands, 'good girl', 'don't stop', 'takin' me so good, baby' 'just like that' . . .
My hands are resting completely at his sides as he guides my mouth on his cock, slightly bucking his hips to push himself as far as I can take him. His strokes turn sloppy, and I look up at him again to see him looking at me with a broken glance, bottom lip between his teeth. "Fuck, gonna cum," he gasps.
I begin to swirl my tongue around him, moaning messily on him as if to say, 'in my mouth, please', but he's already reading my mind, digging his nails into my scalp as he spurts coats of white down my throat, an incoherent string of "fuck fuck fuck"'s spilling out of him. Im swallowing as quickly as i can.
I pull off of him with a lewd pop, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand. I know i look completely ruined, but I'm still focused on catching my breath and looking at Chris's flushed pink face above me.
His hand rests on my face again, and his thumb soothingly rubs my cheek. "You okay? Was that too much?" he asks, his expression full of concern as he wipes the tears from under my eyes.
I smile, leaning into his touch. "I'm good, it was really good."
He nods, smiling dumbly. "Good."
He pulls his jeans and boxers back up, bucking his belt before pulling me off my knees and back onto his lap. He presses a soft, passionate kiss on my lips, and then trails kisses down the side of my face, pulling my hair back off my shoulders as we both catch our breath.
We're both startled by the loud ringing of my phone in the passenger seat. I reach over the console, sighing in relief when i flip it over and see my dad's name at the top of my screen.
I put the phone up to my ear, watching as Chris rubs circles into my side with his cold fingers.
"Hi," I breath out. I listen as my dad apologizes for not answering earlier. He tells me he heard my voicemail and asks if I'm okay. "M' fine, I just wheeled it to a shop a couple blocks over. I'm on the bus home now, should only be a bit."
Chris pouts at me, and i roll my eyes at him. My dad talks for a couple for seconds before hanging up, and i leave my phone in the drink compartment next to Chris's forgotten lighter.
"D'you need to get home?" He asked. I nodded, and he frowns. "I was gonna get you off in the backseat,"

Car Troubles
Pairing: Camila Montes x Reader
Content warning: Car sex, semi-public sex, fingering, sex, G!P Camila, Scratching
Summary: Your car breaks down so you hire the local company when you realise you don't have enough cash
Tumblr media
You sighed in anger. Your car had broken down again for the second time that week and you finally caved. You were going to take it to a mechanics. You only knew one close by and had heard good reviews so you gave it a chance. Calling Auto-Repair, a voice quickly picked up. “Hello, my name is Camila. How may I help you today?” the voicenasked, an obvious accent there. You admittedly got flustered at it but didn’t make it obvious, answering the girl.
“Hi. My car has broken down. I’m only 2 miles down the road,” you spoke, embarrassed at your predicament. “I’ll get my truck and tow you to my shop then,” the voice responded before it hung up. You sighed in relief before waiting for her, deciding to browse on your phone, a yawn slipping out of your mouth.
That was when a big truck pulled up and a shorter girl walking out the car. “Alright, let’s get her towed up and then we can discuss prices, that ok?” the girl, Camila you assumed, asked. You nodded.
“Yep,” you spoke with a smile.
“Come. Join me in my truck,” she stated then walked away. You nodded before looking her up and down. She was wearing a pair of clearly old, blue jeans and an old top as well that was covered in oil. She was definitely working on cars as proven by that. Quickly following behind her, you watched as she had already hooked up your car while you admitted her. You hoped she didn’t notice you checking her out before you went into the passenger’s side. Relaxing, you let her drive and didn’t dare talk as a random Spanish song was playing.
After 5 minutes you were at the shop. “Take a seat, I’ll be quick with your vehicle and give you an invoice quick. You are in no rush right?” she asked you. You shook your head.
“No. Was just going to get groceries but that can wait,” you spoke. She nodded and was quick to exit in the back. That’s when you realised you only brought enough money for groceries. You wondered how else you would pay and that made you nervous. How would you pay? Would she threaten you? You decided to not think about that at the time being as she went to work on your car. That’s when you went on your phone and just relaxed, listening to your favourite band.
An hour later, your shoulder was touched which caused you to jump. “Your car is ready, now we can talk payment,” the Latina spoke. You flushed red. “I um… only have enough for groceries,” you admitted, embarrassed. That’s when you saw a smirk appear on her face, making you embarrassed. You thought something was going to go wrong, until she shifted and sat down next to you. She seemed to be shuffling a lot however so you looked down… to be greeted with a dick straining against the jeans. “Why don’t you pay with your body?” she asked, humming. You blushed hard. “You do this to people often who don’t have money to pay?” you asked raising an eyebrow. Camila shook her head. “Nope, I give them an invoice usually. But you have caught my attention,” she admitted. You thought about it as you rubbed her thigh, leading to her dick. You noticed it twith as she gasped before you nodded.
“I always wanted to do it in a car,” you hummed out innocently enough. Camila was excited as she was nodding immediately then. “Yours or mine?” she asked. You just stood up and held her hand, leading her to your car. “I see,” she spoke as she was soon unlocking it. That’s when her confidence rise as she shoved you against the car gently enough to not hurt it before she was pressed up against you. “No one gets to dominate me,” she growled out. Whimpering, you nodded embarrassed as you felt her grind her bulge against your ass. “Now get in the car and be good,” she spoke. You immediately nodded, embarrassed as you let her dominate. You were in the back of your car, already stripping down as Camila joined after pulling her jeans down and pulling off her top revealing no bra. You gulped as you saw it, slowly getting more and more needy for the girl. Camila trailed her eyes up and down your body before she laid down on you and kissed you deep.
Kissing back, you moaned when you felt her fingers rub at your clit, slowly making you wetter. You knew she was going to make you loose enough for her dick so you didn’t mind. You were a virgin after all. Slowly but surely she slowly entered entered a finger in, her thumb still rubbing your clit. Gasping and moaning, you threw your head back and closed your eyes due to pleasure as you opened your legs wider for her. Camila was seeing that as it was soon fully inside, just thrusting it in slowly but surely. She was being gentle as she was kissing your jaw down to your neck and was sucking gently. “Good girl,” she praised quietly as she was soon trying to enter a second one in. A whimper slipped out your mouth but she was kissing you after that to help distract… and it worked.
After a while she was done fingering you and was making sure you was loose enough for her. “Ready baby?” she asked. You nodded, eager. Immediately she entered in fully, soon letting you adjust as quick as she had entered. You whimpered, clenching onto her forearms before lifting your arms over onto her back and scratching it. Camila let out a grunt as she liked the scratching and was soon enoug bruising your lips. She was doing slow and gentle thrusts as she was holding your sides, her hand soon running up to your breast and groping it before her other hand also went down and rubbed at your clit. A whimper came out of your mouth, causing you to let out a small moan before moving with Camila’s movement. She was moaning louder as hse noticed that and was also getting more pleasure from that. She was soon starting to kiss you again, licking your bottom lip before you let her dominate your mouth. You gasped louder when she  hit your sweet spot, before you felt her smirk. That’s when she went rougher and faster.
You widened your eyes as a light moan slipped out and you had to open yor legs the widest they could go in the back of the car before you held her tighter, nails digging in and causing red scratches down the Latina’s back, who didn’t even care. She was just pounding into you, grabbing your breast and rubbing your clit. She was soon moving her hand on your clit to your ass and groped at it while having a better hold as she went deeper while hitting your sweet spot. You whimpered in pleasure before you couldn’t help but cum all over her dick.
“Want me to cum inside or outside?” she asked, moaning out loud as she was going harder, riding out your high.
“However you want,” you moaned out, not caring at all. That’s when you felt her tense up then she came inside you. You was panting as you soon held her closer, tired now. You held onto her for a while before she finally spoke. “Want to keep doing this? Also need food and water?” she asked with a smile. You nodded.
“Yeah, we can do this. We can have some takeout and cuddles after?” you offered. Camila nodded with a grin.
“Great, let’s go!” she spoke and was quickly changing you.
You felt happy.

yo tunglr how goest it
so! things keep Happening. i am like "i should make a post" and then things happen and i would need a whole additional post
so uh. where to start. i was in minnesota. i did not like minnesota. the social services are pretty damn solid but i did not know anybody except john and it was looking like a three year wait to get into housing, and i had to park a mile and a half away from the shelter because clearly letting homeless people park their cars next to the homeless shelter encourages them to remain homeless or something :P
and i have been trying for ten years to get back to the east coast, to the only place where i know more than one person in meatspace in the entire world. and then my tax refund came out to be Enough that i could afford to go to there. so i was like fuck it i will go to there
(can i afford to exist on the east coast? probably not. but i can't afford to exist anywhere that allows trans people. may as well be not affording to exist in a place where i have some sort of a network.)
so first i went to leia's and got a bunch of my stuff. mainly electronics and knitting. and then i came to here. i had arranged with a friend to use her address to receive mail and do laundry and shower and all those fun things you cannot do in a car. also i acquired some car-camping gadgets that plug into my car's cigarette lighter, such as an electric blanket.
(i even found out that my car has a 15amp cigarette lighter circuit like a semi truck, instead of a 10amp circuit like most passenger cars, so i can use a trucker's cookbox to heat up food! very exciting. still don't have an electric kettle but i saw a hopeful looking one at a truckstop, i'm just trying to pinch my pennies.)
anyway SO! got to friend's house. things went well for 2 nights. i successfully tested riding the metro and did not get the motion sickness. this was excellent news as i had to quit my last job in this area due to inability to arrive on time as i kept having to hop off metro and let my tummy settle
then friend's husband decided actually the plan that we thought had been cleared with him was Not okay, because he had managed to hear a totally different plan that only existed inside his head. (he does this. he has not managed to grasp that friend is against the palestinian genocide. they are both jewish so this is. a topic of regular conversation let us say)
so. i have been put up in a hotel for a week. very cozy. i just figured out how to use the coffee maker to make hot water for instant mashed potatoes. the week is running out but i have been looking into options.
so yesterday of course my phone had to go and fucking brick itself. (i think it was yesterday. time has been. somewhat. look i don't have a phone okay i can't exactly look at the date every five seconds as normal)
phone repair place gave me a free diagnosis, which was, the battery swoll up just enough to pop the back slightly open (it is not a phone that is supposed to open) and let water in and now the motherboard is ruined. it cannot be fixed
thank fuck i had picked up my electronics at leia's, thus i was able to communicate via ipad and laptop that this Had Happened. navigation is being *really goddamn hard* because i have to memorize directions from my wifi-only ipad before going out, and then somehow correlate them with very bad interstate signage (the only way i survived getting back from the phone repair place is that i'd been to an aldi in the same shopping center while my phone still worked)
i mean i could take transit but have you ever tried to take transit without a phone when transit maps are digital only
any fucking way. so then i went to the department of food stamps and all that stuff, to ask about assistance. the department told me i would have to be a resident in the county for nine months before i could even get into a shelter. also i got shuffled between several desks that were supposed to help me applicate for food stamps and medicaid before my name just... fell off the big monitor that showed all the people waiting and where they should go.
so my friend mara who is well connected in the local activism community began making Noises and we emailed a bunch of people. there is a place (nondenominational even! in minnesota you had your choice of the catholics, the "union gospel mission", or the sally army) that does free hot meals and helping applicate for shit and sometimes has charities come to give away free phones and so forth. sounds very much like the big central shelter and help center i was at in minnesota, except crucially not catholic.
(the catholics are better to deal with than the folks who require you to attend services in order to receive help. but they're still very... catholic about it.)
anyway that place says i can park there and not get towed, which is my largest concern. i have not actually gone to there yet because i did not feel like driving that far from my hotel with no gmaps until i have to. but it sounds extremely promising. i have some other emails to follow up on too but today i went and got one of my roughly-annual migraines so i was flat on my back in a dark room all day.
(at least the migraine had the decency to hit while i have a room and a bed and darkness all available. very polite of it. this has not been the case any time in the past six months and it has been a worry)
anyway i can't friggin get my lifeline provider (aka free government phone service for teh poors) to log me in on their website to look for a new phone without them being able to text my old phone, even though they offer me email verification and then just don't load the next page, so there is a solid nonzero chance i may lose this phone number. my contacts *should* be backed up to my gmail if i can get another android phone though.
so. uh. let's see. a new smartphone and service would run me close to $200 minimum. (i've been checking on a cheap service i had before becoming eligible for lifeline, which i was happy with. their very cheapest smartphone is like $114 on sale and their cheapest from a brand i've ever heard of, which i would strongly prefer, is a motorola running about $140 on sale. it's giant and clunky with a badly placed fingerprint reader but "able to get cellular service and run google maps therefrom" is my main priority right now.)
i have about $200 of my tax refund left in the bank. also i still need to buy gas. and some more food soon, i'm about down to canned chili (very edible cold in tortillas) and instant mashed potatoes (can make with cold water but they are significantly less delicious that way). and probably some other things i'm forgetting, and i haven't even started looking into the emissions test or my maryland ID and license plates. which i also wanted to budget about $200 for in case i have to pay excise tax for moving states like i did in minnesota (i don't know if i was supposed to or if the dmv fucked up). i forgot to ask if the one place does gas cards but i need to.
anyway i have to be out of my hotel room saturday morning so i am planning to spend tomorrow packing my shit back up and hauling it mostly down to my car. also i need another bath at some point. too much has been happening
sleeping in a bed has been very nice though. hadn't done that since august. i can sleep in my car and it's mostly comfortable but i'm fat and my steering wheel does not respect that
anyway. um. until more things explode i guess that is my update? jesus murphy. it's holy week and you can friggin tell. really bringing my catholic out. tomorrow is good friday and i definitely expect something more to explode. hell, my micro sd card was making noises about being corrupted and i was going to transfer stuff off it onto a new one via my computer and i haven't even started that yet because i've been so frazzled. it better not die along with jesus tomorrow, it's got all my music on it

Day 9 - Trapped beneath the rubble
TW: Natural disaster (earthquake), crush injury, tobacco
@medwhumpmay
Tumblr media
It was a day like any other day, or at least, it was supposed to be. Erick's car refused to start this morning, and he insisted on fixing it himself, asking Fetch to borrow his van to pick up the part he needed to replace, but Fetch needed his van himself for his own errands, so they headed into town together, like old times.
On their way back, he tested Erick on his repair plans, making sure he knew what he was doing. He didn't pay too much attention to traffic. Since it was barely moving. One lane was closed, the traffic lights weren't working due to the same construction that kept the lane closed, and a large semi truck was struggling to make a turn. Fetch didn't mind too much though. It seemed they wouldn't be moving at all until the truck had cleared and they happened to be standing still right underneath the I-5, providing them with adequate shade.
And then it all went to shit.
"Did you really need the iridium spark plugs? Copper would've been fine," he said.
"Yeah, but iridium has more oomph! And I can finally afford them, so...maybe my car dying on me this morning was an omen," Erick said, "she wants the fancy stuff."
"You sound like a nutcase," Fetch said.
"Not as nuts as that semi. What is he doing?" Erick said.
"It's not his fault this city sucks ass at planning," Fetch said, pulling to a stop in the shade of the overpass.
"Tell me about it," Erick said, pulling the plugs from the shopping bag and beginning to read the text on the package. Fetch pulled out his cigarettes, lighting one since he didn't need his hands for anything else right now.
As he waited for the flame to ignite the first of the tobacco, he noticed a couple of birds suddenly rushing out of a tree, but rather than just taking off, they began circling it. He lowered his lighter, a breeze through the window extinguising the flame. The smooth jazz that had been playing on the radio was interrupted by static, and some dust suddenly clattered on the roof of the van.
"What was that?" Erick asked, sounding more confused than alarmed.
Fetch didn't get the chance to answer him. It sounded like a thunderclap, and next the ground started shaking. The cars before them, as well as their own van danced to the rhythm of the earth. It could've been mesmerising— Funny even, if it weren't for the dust coming from the overpass increasing in size with every tap on the roof.
"We can't stay here!" Fetch said, before throwing his door open.
Erick nodded and followed his lead. The shaking somehow seemed much worse as they got out of the van, and Erick had to hang on to the door to keep standing. There was another sound like thunder, and the dust that came down from the overpass was thicker than smoke. They couldn't see that it was more than dust, but the continuing thunder told them all they needed to know.
By the time the dust cleared, Fetch's ears were ringing from the sound of metal crashing into concrete, car horns and alarms going off continuously. He'd tripped in his rush to get away, had the wind knocked out of him, and when he breathed in, he choked in a mouthful of dust.
He coughed, brushing the rubble from his hair and wiping more dust from his eyes, before he was finally able to take in the carnage whilst trying to process what happened. The overpass was no more, nor were the cars underneath, and the cars on top seemed decently wrangled too.
It looked like he was one of the few that had the sense to flee from the imminent collapse. The ground was still shaking a little bit, causing the debris to shift a last time before it finally stopped. Fetch carefully got to his feet, checking himself for injuries before looking around, scanning the rubble and stirring bodies for anything recognisable. Anything.
"Fuck," he hissed, "Erick!"
He listened for a reply, but there was still too much noise surrounding him. Other people were also calling each other's names, so he was on his own for now, and he could only half rely on his eyes. It was hard to distinguish people when they were all covered in the same grey dust, so he had to look for something else familiar.
He looked at the lane his van had been in, and spotted the wrangled grill half-covered by a slab of concrete. Then he recognised a wheel, and he realised his van had been buried in the rubble. If Erick didn't make it out...
"Fuck..."
He moved over to the crushed remains of his van, stepping to the left and beginning to pull at smaller pieces of rubble. Dust, pebbles, rocks the size of his fist and debris the size of a small child. He ignored the soreness in his lower back and kept going until his hand suddenly grasped something soft and warm.
"Erick!" Fetch hissed, quickly clearing some more rubble and dust.
The arm was covering a head of familiar blonde hair, but it was unmoving and there was no grip in his hand. Fetch cursed under his breath as he continued to push more rubble out of the way, digging around the teen to clear his face.
"Hey! C'mon kid...wake up!"
He shook the boy, and thankfully he gasped, and then started coughing. Fetch tilted his head so he wouldn't choke on anything, while using his free hand to clear more rubble.
"I got you, I got you...are you okay?" Fetch asked.
"Cough! I-I can't breathe..."
"You're fine," Fetch said, "try and sit up, that'll make breathing easier."
Erick nodded, coughing again, before carefully trying to sit up. Fetch helped him, seeing if he could pull him out from under the rest of the rubble, but once Erick got close to sitting, he suddenly cried out in pain.
"AH! Stop! Stop! Stop please!"
"Stop yelling!" Fetch said, letting him lay back down, "tell me where it hurts."
"Hgn....m-my leg, I-I think."
"You think?!"
Erick winced, but Fetch ignored him and tried to clear more rubble. Though, the more he pushed aside, the bigger the debris got. He managed to free one of his legs, but his right leg disappeared underneath the van, that was so weighed down by concrete builders that the tires were completely bent out of place, pressing the undercarriage onto the asphalt, and onto Erick's left leg.
"F-Fetch..."
Fetch knew the pathetic waver in his voice all too well, but for once he didn't feel too happy hearing it. He pushed the teen to keep lying down, shrugging off his jacket and folding it up so it could act as a pillow.
"Just stay down, I'll get you out of here," he said.
Erick nodded, sobbing a bit from the pain as he tried to get comfortable. Fetch pulled out his phone, but when he dialled the alarm number, he couldn't get through, which wasn't too surprising. He checked Erick's pockets, but his phone was cracked and didn't even turn on.
"Fuck...okay, listen, listen. Emergency services are probably on their way, but I have to go flag them down," Fetch said, "I'll make sure they know you're a priority, but you have to wait here for a bit."
"A-alone?"
"You want me to call a fucking sitter?" Fetch said, "I will be right back, okay? Just keep breathing, and if the pain gets worse give me a shout, okay?"
"Y-yes sir..." Erick said.
"Atta boy," Fetch said, before getting up and heading down the street.
A lot of people seemed shaken up, and one tree got uprooted, but other than that the worst damage on that block seemed to be the collapsed overpass. Across the street, there was smoke coming from a building. Good. If that didn't attract the fire department, he didn't know what could. Still, he couldn't be too sure, so he focused on the semi truck that had been stuck in a turn on the intersection. It was still stuck, but now because the traffic light had fallen off of its support and impaled the roof of the trailer. The driver was standing beside the vehicle, assessing the damage, so Fetch approached him.
"Hey! Excuse me! You got a radio in that thing?" he asked.
"Yeah," the driver said, "I already called in about the overpass and the fire."
"I need you to call in something else," Fetch said, "listen, I'm a doctor, and I got a young man with a trapped leg and who knows what kind of condition other people are in? Unless things are worse anywhere else in their jurisdiction, I need the fire department to prioritise this collapse!"
"I can let them know there's a medical emergency, but I can't make any promises," the driver said, heading back towards the cab of his truck.
"Thanks," Fetch said, turning to head back to Erick, but not before looking around a bit more.
There wasn't much he could do for the teen right now, and everywhere he looked there were people with various injuries. This wasn't the time to be selfish, but at the same time he could barter for things he would need. An extra blanket in exchange for ruling out a concussion for a very shaken woman, a bottle of water for bandaging up a kid's arm and telling the parents it'd be easier if they took him to hospital themselves, and simple gratitude for any other thing he could do while on his way back.
By the time he made it back to Erick, he could hear the sirens approach in the distance. He unfolded the blanket and draped it over the teen, protecting him from the sun, mostly. Then he used the water to wash some dust from his face, before helping him take a couple of sips.
"Do you hear that?" he said, "they're already coming. I'll make sure they get you out of here before you lose your leg."
"...what if there's police?" Erick asked quietly.
"They won't give a shit about who we are," Fetch assured him, "how's your leg feeling? Does it still hurt?"
"I...I don't know," Erick said, "i-it hurts, but I'm not sure if it's real...I can't feel my foot, but from the knee up..."
"Drink some more water," Fetch said, holding the bottle against his lips in an attempt to distract him.
After Erick took another sip, Fetch got back up, spotting the fire truck at the end of the street.
"About time," he grumbled, "hold on just a bit longer, I'm gonna see if they'll let me have some supplies or at least send someone over to treat you."
He was about to walk off, but then changed his mind, turning back to Erick.
"Listen," he said, "if anyone asks, we don't know each other. I'm gonna try and get you admitted with unknown identity, so don't fucking mess this up, okay?"
"Y-yes, sir," Erick said, "but...p-please hurry back...I don't feel so good."
"You'll be fine," Fetch insisted, before taking off again.
He introduced himself to the firefighters as a doctor, and they didn't have the time to check his credibility. They followed him back to the site, confirming the emergency before calling in more help to get the teen out. They didn't have the equipment to remove the heavy rubble from the van, but they did have an idea to try and lift the van just enough to pull the teen out.
First they broke the asphalt, covering the teen in their protective jackets. Then they dug the broken asphalt away at two points beneath the van, before cramming some sort of inflatable device in the crevice. EMT's were called in to stand by, putting a stretcher ready. Fetch knew what risk they were afraid of. Even if they worked fast enough to free the boy's leg, there was still the chance that a build-up of toxins would flush his system the moment they lifted the van...if they could even lift it far enough.
"Should we give him something for the pain?"
"Already did, but we don't have time to wait for it to kick in."
"Just go for it," Fetch said, "he'll thank us later."
"W-wait..." Erick said weakly, but they had no choice but to ignore him. The devices were inflated, the van creaking in protest as it very slowly lifted off the ground. Erick cried out in pain, but they couldn't pull it out yet. Fetch squeezed his hand, one of the EMT's grabbed the teen's head to keep it stable, while the others kept him down.
Another heart-wrenching cry, drowning out the creaking from the van, and nearly drowning out one of the fire-fighters as he told the others to pull. Fetch grabbed the boy's arm with his other hand and pulled alongside with the others, swiftly sliding the boy onto the stretcher as they freed him from the van.
They descended upon him with oxygen, fluids, gauze and bandages, as well as strapping him to the stretcher, before letting the firefighters lift him up to begin carrying him across the rubble towards the ambulance. Fetch followed. He wasn't sure why, there was nothing he could do for him from this point on— Well, there was one thing, but he couldn't do that until he was sure his phone had service.
"Sir, do you know this kid?"
Fetch snapped out of his thoughts as one of the EMT's addressed him. He looked over at the man, hesitating briefly, but it was probably better to stick to the plan. So Fetch shook his head.
"I don't know him," he said, "I'm a doctor, so I was just helping out."
"So you don't know his name or anything? Did you find any ID on him?"
"No," Fetch just said, "better take him to hospital."
"Do you require medical assistance, sir?"
"No, I'm fine," Fetch said, "if that changes I know my way to hospital. Good luck today."
And just like that, they took off, taking Erick with them. Fetch sighed, only now realising that his hands were shaking. He searched his pockets for a cigarette, but his package wasn't there. Great. He looked back at the people still needing help. Maybe he could barter a smoke off of someone while waiting for phone services to come back on so he could call Tito to get Erick out of hospital before they would try to look too much into his identity...
