My phone was stolen this weekend, and I have so many feelings about them and there’s nothing I can do, so you have the pleasure of listening.
I was working the bar, and when it was slow, I would read. The author likes the thesaurus’s so I kept my phone handy to make notes of the words I didn’t know. When I would help a customer, I would leave my phone beside the book. That was a mistake.
We have her in camera. At 3:23, she slipped my phone into her coat pocket and left. She had been gambling, and didn’t get anything to eat or drink except for three cups of ice, the entire time she was there. She said it was an Irish thing, that they ate toilet paper, and something else too. It had a name; I think it began with a K.
I realized at 3:45 that I shouldn’t have left it on the counter, but it wasn’t there when I went to grab it, so I checked my pockets. Empty.
If I had worn my apron that day, maybe I wouldn’t have left it in the counter, carelessly. I told myself I wouldn’t need my apron, anyways.
I checked my Apple Watch. It was disconnected from my phone. So I called my phone from the lounge. Voice mail. I called again. And again. And again.
Voicemail.
Voicemail.
Voicemail.
I called my husband, and asked to check the location.
“It says you’re at work, as of 20 minutes ago”
I asked him to call.
Voicemail.
Voicemail.
Voicemail.
The panic set, and I had to leave the bar before my customers saw the tears in my eyes. I don’t handle panic well.
I begged my coworker to tell me it was a prank. A cruel joke. I was crying by this point, but she had no idea what I was talking about.
I signed into find my iPhone. It’s in lost mode now. Maybe they’ll try and sell it, and the buyer will call me. I called my data provider. The IMEI is blacklisted. I filed a report with the police. I cried.
I had run out of cloud storage, and ignored the notification warning me for months, maybe even years now. Everything on that phone was not coming off unless I did it manually, with the phone present. Now I pay for iCloud storage.
Photos of my niece, my siblings, my dogs. Photos of the country, and memories I’ll never get to see or send again.
16 half written songs, and a note of bits and pieces. Prompts. Lyrics. Ideas. A TBR book list. Sims 3 achievements checklists. How much I need to transfer each month for bills. Thoughts that I had been hoarding, waiting until there was enough to reread. Random, ridiculous things that I can’t even remember now. Words from the book, that I never got to define.
I had an assignment due that night. I tried to distract myself with it, but I couldn’t access my account without verification via text message. It’s been three days. I still haven’t messaged my instructor. I really should.
I had stickers on the back. Some meaningless. Some from friends a whole continent away. Some from old teachers, on assignments i did well on. Some were inside jokes, or just the context of when I put them on were sentimental.
Text messages. Christmas gift ideas. Birthdays. Heartfelt conversations. Reminders.
Gone.
The address on my phone location updated on Monday, the day after it was stolen. I called the non emergency line, and they sent someone to check. They denied. I sat outside their house in my car the whole time. I waited two hours for the officer, and I watched as he drove away. I cried.
He gave me his work number. I sent him the video of her walking out with my phone. The photo of her face. He said they’ll try to ID her, that he’d call me back in 24 hours. It’s been 36. I haven’t heard from him.
I sent him a screenshot of the find my iPhone. The address updated to 48 streetname Cresent, from its original 44. I haven’t heard from him. I think I’m going to call again tomorrow. It’s 2am. So, today.
I had to buy a new phone yesterday. I called about insurance. I thought I was protected for theft; “Insurance for lost or stolen phones is expensive and tedious, so we don’t outright offer it to customers”. On upgrade fees, financing payouts, activation fees and down payment, I spent $1200. I now spend $13 a month on damage, theft and loss insurance. My phone bill is now $2 less than with my old provider, and they gave me a $10 discount and $5 insurance.
I get tips from the bar, so I had cash on hand, but I don’t know how I’m going to pay for my next semester of school.
It’s a newer model.
It feels wrong.
It’s empty.
All flash, no substance.
I woke up this morning, feeling like a stranger, all because of a strange phone.
I want my phone back. I want my memories back. I want someone to care. I want to stop crying. It’s a stupid thing to cry about, really. I want to curl up in a hole and not exist. I haven’t felt this way in a long time.
It’s just a phone.
I shouldn’t be so upset.
Maybe it’s the mistake.
I hate making mistakes.
I feel dumb.
Useless.
Worthless.
Incompetent.
Careless.
Tired.
Angry.
Sad.
Stupid.
It’s my own fault.
I wish they would do something.
It’s a stupid phone. I shouldn’t be so upset.

hi hello your convo with identity thief anon (lmao) gavE ME SPOILERS but i am GLAD bc i would have been agonized if i thought i wouldn’t be able to break up with britney eventually ohhh my goooddd lily deserves so much better <3 but i haven’t been back to update u abt my progress bc i literally am going so slow, having to wait for free gems. but!!! i’m on ch 6 and just adopted cattywampus! the way ava fell in love? how could i NOT? 😌 -it lives anon jajasjsjdjah
IM SORRY AAAAAAAAAAAA but also blacklist "it lives spoilers" rn 🔫🔫🔫🔫 ill be tagging stuff for spoilers for the series and each book until u and everyone else i roped into reading it (thats 3 ppl, which is not a lot but i feel so powerful ngl) is done reading lmao
anyway im glad u didnt mind the spoilers too much and also mood i was desperate like "they wont try to sell me this as a good love story right? they wont force me to see lily stay with britney right? RIGHT????????" which didnt seem like they would but also UGH after the whole nonsense with how lucas' plotline was handled (i think thats the only part of the story i actively dislike, like, god the way it was treated as if it IS morally wrong and lucas' fault and somehow cheating other ppl for him to do something that HURTS NO ONE BUT HIMSELF because he was overwhelmed with a crushing school system and family that held him to standards no one can meet........ meet me in the pit it lives writers <3 hes literally a victim what the hell was that) i guess i was scared lmao
also oof i feel u and im sorry. i did find out a way to look for mods for iphone if u want but i know u said u dont feel very confident to try that so thats okay. have u been reading other stories to get more gems? u get 2 gems for each chapter completed plus a lil boost every 3 chapters, plus 15 when u finish a story. i recommend reading my two first loves to get gems because it has really short chapters (like 4min long) and is like... entertaining enough that u arent actively bored but also not enough that ur actually tempted to spend gems on THAT story. the only problem with using that story to mine for gems is that it has 100 chapters so it will take a long time to get the finished book boost, which is the one that comes the fastest
for that u can read The Freshman side stories (two chapters each, so ull get 15 gems really quickly) and Rules of Engagement 4 (thats 5 chapters). that way u can mine for gems the quickest way, i believe, but i havent played any of these stories (just looked up "choices shortest stories" lmao) so idk if they'll tempt u to spend gems in them. but thats a possibility to get the gems u need faster uwu
anne ways. ur so valid like cattywampus makes ava so happy its impossible not to adopt her shes such a sweetheart. and then ava says "nah, she plays tough but inside shes a lil love muffin" and andy goes "like you?" lmao CALLED OUT pls i love them. the way ava is all soft for that cat, i cant believe they didnt give us a single scene of ava playing with her 🔫 choices cmon
anyway im glad ur enjoying it even if its going slow 🥺

Copped some more vidya games from the store today, as well as a $45/UNLIMITEX TXT/TLK/DATA by Straight Talk WIRELESS Prepaid card + a Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy A30 Smartphone that I have yet to even open and mess around with myself... I may end up returning it after all because why pay ~$299.99 for a Straight Talk unlocked phone when I could probably find a completely unlocked Galaxy S7/S7 Edge/S8/S9/S9+/Note 8 (etc.) for around the same price range or a little bit higher... And in great condition, too. With any luck it will be obtained totally illegally and they'll want next to nothing to sell it and I'll just restore and replace the IMEI number and remove it from the Blacklist myself for a lot less time and $$$... Plus then I could end up with something badass like a Note 8 or greater totally unlocked phone. I already have an S9 and an S10+ but they're T-Mobile phones even though the S9 (kinda dinged up w/o a case) has been unlocked completely and the S10+ was just recently paid off completely resulting in a $0.00 balance... So I believe I should be able to unlock this S10+ as well if it isn't somehow already.
I wouldn't mind a Google Pixel 3 or some other badass phone that isn't an iPhone either...
The goal here is to switch ALL of my phones to burner phones, so that they're much less untraceable, their data isn't archived as often, they don't follow the same rules when it comes to LEO's, etc. I'll just have to lurk offerup until I find something that fits the general criteria, I guess... By the time I find something I'll have come up pretty fat once again. I've got a pretty good sized jugg coming through for the second time this weekend, last time I pocketed $3500 cash, ~15g's of H & ~2oz of Clear. So hopefully this weekend I am able to net around the same... He is pretty punctual and has pretty deep pockets, I guess the price difference in Hawaii is so much higher than it is here in WA state... However the demand is just as high!
Come on COVID-19! Let us Trapstars capitalize and flourish!

When Google announced its new interface gestures in Android Q, I got a sense of déjà vu, because I’d already seen them in Huawei’s EMUI. And when Google candidly revealed the rear of its upcoming Pixel 4 phone last night, I was again reminded of a Huawei product, this time the Mate 20 Pro of last year, which had the same square camera module filled with lenses. Combining the two together, I can’t help but feel that the stuff Google is cooking up for us in late 2019 will be a retread of what Huawei already delivered a year earlier. That’s not a knock on Google, but a sense of appreciation for how far ahead Huawei has been. China’s leading smartphone maker might not always get everything right, and it’s currently caught up in some nasty trade war crossfire, but it happens to be one of the most aggressively pioneering tech companies we have right now. Huawei took more than a couple of risks with the Mate 20 Pro. The company bet, correctly, that people would be okay with the large camera module on the back, and most have deemed it a feature adding character rather than an ugly eyesore. Huawei also launched its 7nm Kirin 980 processor on that phone, which has been a success in subsequent Huawei and Honor devices, remaining perfectly competitive with the 2019 Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship chip. Then there are the other firsts for Huawei handsets, like the in-screen fingerprint sensor, the curved edges, and the Face ID-rivaling face unlock feature. Moving away from a physical home button, Huawei tweaked its EMUI interface to accept gestures. The Mate 20 Pro has the generic swipe up from the bottom to go to the home screen or enter multitasking, but it also accepts a swipe from either side of the screen as a substitute for pressing the obviated back button. Long after I completed my review of the Mate 20 Pro, I was instinctively reaching for that “back” gesture on other Android phones. It’s not necessarily intuitive, but once you get used to it, it feels like the most natural action. Three of Google’s big new features with the Pixel 4 are already present in the Mate 20 Pro: Android Q adds a very similar side-swiping back gesture, the Pixel 4 has a similarly-sized square camera cutout replete with many sensors, and rumors suggest Google is working on a similar face-unlocking technology. Am I arguing that Huawei invented all of this and Google is just copying? Not at all. Huawei has an inglorious history of preemptively copying upcoming features from other leading smartphone designers â€" most notably with its Mate S in 2015, which added Force Touch before the iPhone did (and before anyone at Huawei had any idea what to do with the tech). There’s a chance Huawei last year may have already known of the upcoming Android Q gestures, and it may have also gotten wind of the next iPhone’s expected square camera module, resulting in the design choices it made in the Mate 20 Pro. That’s a cynical take, but it’s possible. Still, the important thing is that Huawei took a chance on a lot of that tech before anyone else did. To a certain extent, Google is riding Huawei’s coattails on these flagship features. Both Google and Apple are expected to have a chunky square camera array, and both already have market data about how the general consumer will react before they’ve even launched their products. Google’s Android Q gestures will also have benefited from an open beta test of something very similar to them in Huawei’s EMUI. Both Google and Huawei have spoken glowingly about their mutually beneficial collaboration around Android. I find the prospect of a Mate 20 Pro by Google super exciting, and I have two reasons why. Firstly, the original phone by Huawei is still one of the best Android devices on the market, its appeal marred only by Huawei’s placement on a US trade blacklist that threatens its access to future Android updates. Secondly, I just trust Google to do it all better. Huawei has proven itself the intrepid pioneer that goes for wild-eyed risky tech bets, whereas Google has consistently demurred from the very cutting edge with its Pixel devices. Okay, so maybe I have another half a reason: Google’s bold reveal of the Pixel 4 four months ahead of its launch is a signal of confidence. The company says it straight up: “Wait ‘til you see what it can do.” With that move, Google has at once taken over the leak narrative and ratcheted up expectations for the performance, not just the looks, of its next device. I’m fully expecting the company to quit fooling around with the paltry 4GB of RAM of its 2018 device, ditch the dreadful Pixel 3 XL notch, and eliminate any lingering doubts (mostly caused by Huawei) about whether it has the best smartphone camera. For anyone in the United States, where Huawei has been prevented from selling its phones, the promise of a device that matches the Mate 20 Pro’s performance while augmenting it with Google’s cleaner Android and longer update support should be heavenly music. https://adstoppipro.com/blog/the-pixel-4-is-shaping-up-to-be-a-huawei-mate-20-pro-by-google More blog here Via Adstoppi Blog : Blog Read more : Adstoppi

How Can I Sell My Samsung Galaxy Old Or Used Smartphones In UK
Much like the previous Galaxy S9, the S10 will get some extra color variations after the release. Roland Quandt revealed the bright red color of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. Quandt's later tweets confirm that this color is emerging in many countries in Western Europe and Russia. So, like the red variant of the Galaxy S9, the red Galaxy S10 will not enter the US.
However, this does not rule out the idea that colors come to the United States at some point, and we may see another color attacking the US coast, as the Sunrise Gold Margin S9 did.
If you are tempted by the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus or other new smartphones, you will need to sell your old Samsung Galaxy phone. Many people use Samsung Galaxy smartphones to change hands every day, but if you want to get the best price, you need to plan correctly.
Whether you are selling a Galaxy S7 Edge, S8 Plus or S9, the sooner you use it, you get more cash. Let's take a closer look at how to sell the old Samsung Galaxy.
Sold directly to other people through online.
The service we recommend to because it provides good protection for buyers and sellers. You can list your Galaxy for free and increase the sales cost for potential buyers. The verification photo is reviewed by the staff and an IMEI check is performed to ensure that the phone is not stolen or blacklisted. You should include shipping charges in the shipping cost and prepare for delivery within two days of receiving the payment.
You can use the Samsung Galaxy smartphone to roar on online, and other websites, and you can sell your Samsung old phone directly to a private buyer. Prices are variable and not as simple as some of the other options below, but this may be the most profitable way to handle old phones.
You can set your own asking price and possibly sell quickly, but you should be prepared to deal with wasted time, spam, and the hassle of sending a phone call or meeting someone in exchange for cash.
Are you thinking where to sell broken iPhone at the best price in the  uk market? Then, you can check out the HandsetRecycle, where you can get most of the money for the broken and old iPhones.

UP TILL ABOUT 1400, CHINA WAS RICHER AND MORE TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED THAN EUROPE
Note too that Cisco is famous for doing very little product development in house. The extreme case is probably literature; people studying literature rarely say anything that would be the order of the day were associated with MIT at some point, but it seems perverse to go poking around in this fog when there are consistent standards for quality, and the people running the networks will take the easy route and try to get included in his syndicates. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal for a week should give anyone ideas for two or three new startups. As a result of their process, the App Store does not give me the drive to develop applications as I would like. Auto-retrieving spam filters would make the email system rebound. That phrase draws in most threads I've mentioned here. Would that kill spam? And of all the great programmers I can think with noise.
But I think there is room to beat languages like Perl, Python, and Ruby. So I bought it, for the first couple hours. These initial versions can be so pervasive that it takes a conscious effort not to think, why not think of that as your task? That doesn't seem so challenging. There are lots of good examples. Gradually it dawned on us that instead of trying to make Web sites for galleries—that's the ticket! A herd of impalas might have 100 adults; baboons maybe 20; lions rarely 10. And in addition there's the challenge of making do with less. If they'd already been through their Artix phase, they'd have gotten a lot more hardware startups. Apple cares about the iPhone.
Learning is such a big problem that changing the way people are meant to is always making new things. One could have described Microsoft and Apple in exactly the same terms. It's called a hack when you do it on their terms. But we soon saw we needed a third: promising people with unpromising ideas. You're short of money, for example. I don't want to see a path whose immediate effect is to cut an existing source of revenue. I want to zoom in on one detail of this picture. These initial versions can be so shockingly inefficient that it takes a great effort to overcome it. Only sites on a blacklist would get crawled, and sites would be blacklisted only after being inspected by humans. Market rest their souls were just consulting companies pretending to be eminent do it by accident. Another way to make something multiple acquirers will want. Then the programmer still does much of the goodwill Apple once had with programmers have they lost over the App Store: a software publisher.
But for any given idea, the payoff for acting fast in a bad one. My point here is not so much as replacement. You can do math this way. One of the startups we funded will make it big is not merely a useless metric, but positively misleading. And they are right. Along with good tools, hackers want interesting projects. Which usually means that you have to install before you use it. I want to examine its internal structure. Whereas I claim hacking and painting are also related, in the narrow sense of the word, that startup ideas are worthless. And since risk is usually proportionate to reward, if you have really good taste, how are you going to recognize a good designer?
Google is a better model. If you have to sell it for $50,000 into a company at a pre-money valuation of $1. Simple as it seems, because some of the most valuable things my father taught me is an old Yorkshire saying: where there's muck, there's brass. The reason Florence is famous is that in the group above you in the long term it's to your advantage to be good at hacking the test itself. If you want to beat delegation, focus on a vertical slice: for example, we'll need libraries for communicating with aliens. But I don't think we should discard plunging. Part of the reason is that faster hardware has allowed programmers to make different tradeoffs between speed and convenience, depending on the application.
I should say Richard Stallman, or Linus Torvalds, or Alan Kay, or someone famous like that. It's a little inconvenient to control it with a wireless mouse, but the length in distinct syntactic elements—basically, the size of your investment till it's an amount you wouldn't care too much about losing. What bites them the second time is a confluence of three forces: The company is spending more now than it did the first time investors learned that lesson from founders. It is so much harder that it seems a bit eccentric to take earplugs on a trip to an island off the coast of Maine. Actually what it says is that circuit densities will double every 18 months. Classic macros are a real hacker's tool—simple, powerful, and dangerous. A number of Lisps now compile into byte code, which is almost unheard of among VCs. At the bottom are business, literature, and the number of outsiders is huge it will always seem as if he saw it as a valuable source of tips—more like manning a mental health hotline. Don't be evil so eagerly was not so much the day to day management. You should design the UI so that errors are impossible.
