started thinking about the sexymen of tumblr and their selfcest.

like, okay, oncest (onceler/greedler) was the product of people NEEDING their yaoi but they rightfully didnt feel comfortable shipping him with ted (a child) but then they didnt have a suitably attractive adult male character (personally i think they shouldve been brave and chosen o'hare or the lorax) – so naturally the end result is shipping pre-success onceler with post-success onceler. & also, being generous, i dont think that its entirely motivated by yaoi, some of it was just the product of roleplay blogs forming ships and then they get popular within their niche.

but how did sans fucking au-sans become a thing? okay, we need yaoi, but even using the roleplay excuse, there ARE other male characters. some people were gross and chose his brother or the child main character as the other non-sans man, which is expected... but why were people creative enough to ship him with "himself, after he turned evil" but NOT a random man that already exists in canon but maybe he doesnt interact with? how did we jump ship straight to sans-on-sans action? fascinating, really

Mal x Mike can happen, I think they need to know that Mike's D.I.D wasnt accurate back then ( plus, im pretty sure the creator said that if they could go back and rewrite the system, they would ), and its pretty easy to ignore the horrible rep and completely "rewrite" it in your head

Alters can date eachother, so that means that the alters, any one of them, could be dating another of them and if your only defense is "but its selfcest!!!" you need to staple your mouth shut and never speak again

Mal, Vito, Manitoba, Mike, Svetlana ( not including chester, hes like 63 ) could be dating someone in the system, or out of it but just because the show is old and has terrible rep doesnt mean that certian rarepairs ( extremely. rarepairs ) cant happen

And like I said, I dont ship Mal and Mike because honestly, its such a terrible ship but its not only them, Vito x Manitoba, Mike x Svetlana, they can all exist, the only things wrong with their compatability is ;

1. Being toxic ( Depends on how you picture Mal and his personality )

2. Age difference ( Chester )

3. Sexuality headcanons ( E.g defending someone for shipping their Lesbian Svetlana hc with their Gay Vito hc )

with mcd dante ending up in the mys universe, it would be very funny to watch him try to figure out what the Fuck is going on bc mf has no idea what a phone or a computer is and is just so fucking confused. at first mys dante is more focused on going "hey wanna play video games!!!" to stop and process that mcd dante doesnt even know what a video game is. and then seeing mcd dantes confusion at Literally Everything he decides to sit down and try to explain things (unfortunately mys dante is Dumb - fortunately mcd dante is equally Dumb so mys dante going "this is a phone... it does... stuff.... you can call people!! idk how they made it able to do that tho dont ask me :D" is good enough for him)

on the other hand, with mys dante ending up in the mcd universe, itd be even Crazier because mys dante (who is used to having the internet and a car and big cities etc) is now stuck in the medieval era. thankfully mcd dante is here to help!! except he does a horrible job of helping bc he just goes "well im sure he'll figure everything out!" and then hands mys dante a sword - and is shocked when he ends up getting injured. mys dante doesnt mind because running around and throwing himself into danger is fun (especially when he gets to do that with a "friend" (read: boyfriend who he hasnt figured out hes dating yet))!! mys dante is also Struggling because adhd meds dont exist yet and his brain is completely fried and he can barely function until zoey figures out how to make potions thatll help. which leads to mys dante bouncing off the walls and mcd dante having to practically drag him to bed every night to get him to go to sleep, until mys dante Finally is able to function properly again

and, of course, the inherent romantic comedy of "i cant be in love with this other version of myself nope nope nope- oh god the other version of me is hot". the first time they kissed they stared at each other for a solid five minutes before mcd dante went "so uh.... yeah....." and mys dante just went "that was like... kissing myself. haha"

they are both Dumb and do not know how to function correctly around each other. they are mischievous silly little guys who cant stop getting into trouble and getting injured and doing stupid shit (but its ok bc their friends somehow keep them from getting themselves killed). and also they definitely tried to make out in a tree but ended up falling out of it and getting hurt. and at one point they tried to make out underwater and somehow didnt realize how stupid of an idea thatd be until they almost drowned. theyre gay and silly and dumb ur honor

Thoughts I had about Loki when I couldnt sleep.

1.What are variants?

I was really wondering about the concept of variants and looking for something comparable in real life. I think what comes closest is that a variant is like a species, only that instead of sharing both characteristics and physical traits, variants only share characteristics. All Lokis use similar magic, are insecure and cover up their insecurities with questionable techniques like lying and betraying. But they dont look the same. 

Btw. If you look at it from this perspective all the selfcest theories fall apart, so thats a plus :D

2. The sacred timeline doesnt make sense?

Okay, so this might be a bit harder to explain.

So, there is one sacred timeline in which everything has to stay the same for all time, right? Therefore actually, there could only be one kind of Loki variant. Only one kind of Loki can exist on the sacred timeline because it is the only timeline and it cant change. Hence Loki variants should all look like Tom Hiddleston actually. Because for there to be different Lokis, like a black Loki or an Alligator Loki there would need to be another timeline which is different from Hiddleston Loki. But there cant be. So those variants...dont make sense to me anymore. Where do they come from? They would need to be from a time before the TVA when there still where multiple timelines. 

Thats the only reasonable explanation I can come up with here.

OO OO OO i have things to say abt this. and this is not an attack on u at all op, moreso a launching point to talk abt my take on this (since my blog is a t12-heavy one)

so i mostly agree w this until we get to the tags (for context, these are the tags. if u cant read em well there is an alt text)

first, tw for adam, his actions (and the triggers applying to them) and t12 for the rest of this post. im on mobile rn so i cant put a cut but imagine one here.

t12 is imo one of the rare cases where we cant exactly be.. divorcable 100%? you can and you cant. i think the course of action best taken is moreso “intake the media but don’t fully death-of-the-author it. keep in mind what he’s done and how that affects his series”

like, for a more lighthearted example, adam was definitely into selfcest, which im not gonna discourse abt the morals of that thats just a thing that was there and on the table. so its not shocking he had noah interact w versions of himself so often.

adam was into kidnapping, stalking, glasses and stripes (no i cant explain any of those). so observers Everything is not a shock.

adam often used t12 and noah maxwells character as a springboard to groom young, impressionable people and even take advantage of full grown adults, so its understandable WHY people dont like adam and hence dont like noah OR tribetwelve. a lot of adams fetishes and personal ideals were all over it.

adam glorified noahs character for a reason, even if he claimed it was the “worst parts of himself as a character”. it clearly wasnt, why else would he have spent time in milos journal for milo to praise the character, and wouldnt have written noah to be sympathetic. he took critiques on noahs character to be critiques on himself so he said noah was the worst parts of him to make him look better. adam doesnt EXACTLY equal noah but the two DO deliberately overlap a lot, and its important to keep that in mind when approaching the character. but at the same time BECAUSE adam was so connected to noah, the character felt very real to a lot of people. a lot of noah being “dumb” is very reasonable reactions to me considering half the story noahs deeply stressed and the other half he’s being told the world is on his shoulders.

on that note, theres still a lot to enjoy about the series! tribetwelve is still a series thats not half bad. it had good editing, fun imagery/symbolism and intruiging charaxters (even if adam didnt know how to write them). i ESPECIALLY think the fan community that prior existed (and still kind of does, even if barely alive) made the series. i noticed a LOT of stereotypically “weird kids” gravitated towards tribetwelve and hence it made an UNBREAKABLE community. even if a lot of people left the sv community after adam was outed, a lot of those people still held long-lasting friendships because of the series. and to say none of those things arent there would be a fucking shame.

people LOVED tribetwelve for a reason, even if most people considered it stand alone not that great (because lets be real some parts of it are just. not that great.) but to watch t12 and not be able to know just what it caused and the influence adam had on its creation is to not address the elephant in the room.

again, this is not an attack on op or their opinion. there is no right way to consume media. this is just a point ive wanted to get out my thoughts for a while but never knew when to get it out or fully express it and i feel like a discussion NEEDS to be had in sv, especially t12, on consuming content made by problematic people, especially if the content can be seen as problematic in itself. my point is, you can mostly divorce tribetwelve. keyword mostly. but people have to acknowlege some of what is put into tribetwelve is disturbing (cough cough NAZIS cough) and the series itself has a poor track record of being used to take advantage of minors, so some people just do NOT want to acknowlege it. however it also holds artistic merit as any piece of media does and has created a strong, tight-knit community thats almost completely morphed the series itself. and both of these are okay and CAN coexist and are imo very decent takes to have! and at the end of the day, maybe tribetwelve was just the friends we made along the way.

I hate when anti things form out of being critical of a presentation of a ship. Like I'll see this happen in the MCU quite a bit people will not like how they wrote a particular relationship. Like for example not like Steve Peggy in Endgame because of what it means for both their arcs. Or not liking BruceNat just with how its characterized and how both characters act within it. Or not liking Loki Sylvie because you don't like the portrayal of self love being potrayed through selfcest. Which thats all very fine no reason why you have to like a ship. I dont think its wrong to be frustrated at writing and dislike a ship and be open about that. But then they kinda either exaggerate their discomfort or invent some interpretation of the ship to make it seem more hatable. Like Loki Sylvie is incest actually or BruceNat is abusive. Or StevePeggy is a no homo. And of course its unfair to people who like that ship because now they are defending themselves for liking aspects of a ship that arent even part of the ship. But its also unfair if you dislike the ship because now we have stopped talking about any real flaws with the writing and inventing something that doesnt even exist to dislike.

oh yes yes marlene is her name i think. skipper and marlene had a friendship and like an implied romance sorta (i believe??). also i think king julien had a crush on her, but only when he thought that she wasn’t marlene, but some person named ‘arlene’. also the red squirrel was kinda a reoccurring villain, but i really dunno what he was doing. he just existed. there were a bunch of one-off villains, and i think in one episode one of private’s unicorn toys got possessed by some evil spirit and in turn a spirit of some old wise guy who defeated the evil spirit possessed mort. also there was a whole episode about a bus running over animals AND an episode in which the other penguins thought that skipper was a zombie (which honestly scared me cause in some moments it was genuinely shot like a horror movie)
