stan having severe issues from his dad and those years of being homeless that we keep on getting more info on but never really getting confronted on (the drifter catalogue and tijuana incident...), him being completely alone for like twenty years when running the shack before soos comes along to the point that 1998 is noted as his low point, and him not really learning about bill+what he did to ford until ages after he killed him if he ever did get the full context

while i think amnesia and everyone seeing him as a hero actually helped with stan's 'i'm a worse version of my brother' thing its still a lingering issue too and we now got him being insecure over his own hands

ford being immediately thrown from 'being tortured by bill' to 'being stuck in the multiverse and being chased by bounty hunters constantly', him fully expecting himself to die when destroying bill, and him only now being safe for the first time in 30 years ....relatively safe, he's still in constant danger because of course he is

idk in the end the series wants them to be happy and they deserve it, its why i wasn't too worried about the book being like 'ooh bill is back!! and the book is haunting ford' thing cos i knew they'll be ok

you grabbed the bag of miscellaneous stuff anton left in your brothers room. “i’m leaving!” you called out to your brother.

the walk to anton’s place was a mere 10 minutes, so you decided to walk there. once you reached, you had to climb up the stairs to the 7th floor.

you knocked on anton’s door, once; no answer, twice; no answer, but a muffled noise erupted from inside, third; the noise of feet scurrying towards the door filled the whole apartment.

what you didn’t expect was that a girl would be answering the door.

“hello?” the girl said, though it seemed more like a question. it was much past the afternoon, it was way more into the night. “sorry, i’m looking for anton.” you played off any discomfort you got from seeing a girl in your anton’s house. you never felt protective over anton, especially knowing he wasn’t yours, but why did your chest tighten at the sight of a woman in his house? “oh of course, let me get him.” and the girl disappeared, looking for anton.

“y/n? i thought you were coming over tomorrow.” antons hair was messed up, his cheeks were pink, and he seemed out of the loop. how he usually looked after you two cuddled. “eunseok wanted me to drop this off, it’s stuff you left.” you handed him the bag and quickly went back to standing awkwardly in front of his door, but instead of the door, in front of him.

you were about to leave until you turned around, “also,” anton poked his head out of his door. “we don’t have to go out if you wanna stay with your girlfriend. it’s no problem, anton.” you flashed a small smile before fleeing.

your eyes were full of sadness, one blink and your cheeks would be streaming with tears. anton had a girlfriend who wasn’t you, and you couldn’t help but feel hopeless. the only person who truly loved you, found someone who displaced you. someone who was better. better than you.

Ok! Soooooo… in theory, how would the self aware boys get out if their game wasn’t on a console, but a pc?

While reading the part where Twilight escapes, I just kept thinking about how I don’t own a Wii. I had to download an emulator and spend an hour teaching myself how it worked before I was able to play TP.

I know it’s probably going to be the same answer as how he got out of the Wii, but the question still itched at my brain. 😅

I'm three days late but I'm going to throw myself a little ticker tape parade anyway

First off, I commissioned this art from @lornahere and I want to share it to celebrate that today is two years and three days since I published the first chapter of your lover in the foyer doesn't even know you, a fake dating/reality show Klapollo AU.

When I first started writing it, I was already working on a Legally Blonde crossover called Turnabout Blonde that was really getting most of my attention and care and ylitfdeky was just something that was, for the most part, a little light hearted distraction (while I do try to approach everything in an enjoyable way, I also definitely don't shy away when dealing with darker topics like depression, grief, mourning, or homophobia) when TB got too heavy. I had nothing but a vague idea, a blank notebook, and a pen.

Imagine my surprise when it ended up becoming my most popular story to date, so much so that there was even enough demand for a sequel.

This story challenged me in ways that I didn't expect. I learned so much about being a storyteller, and the balancing act that goes into writing fanfiction. I hopefully learned how to tell the story that people want to read while also saying what I want and not caring what they think about it. I got to try on so many different hats in terms of writing so many different characters and making sure they all had depth and nuance and weren't just caricatures.

It also brought me a lot of grief and pain and in the end pushed me not just to the edge but to San Diego, where I met Lani Minella, so I'll always be thankful for that, if nothing else, but luckily, there is so much more. I can look back at my skills as a writer and I can see now that where I am is not where I was and so much of that I taught myself from telling this story.

I know I don't normally promote my writing on here, but I'm making an exception. Happy birthday, your lover in the foyer doesn't even know you. I'm so glad I got the chance to write you. In the spirit of every chapter being a Taylor Swift lyric, I leave you with a final last one as I look back on the whirlwind the last two years was.
