because i need to set this in stone once and for all:

how does Eri's vampirism work in this AU? (and some plans i have to be able to showcase it in the story):

Eri is essentially still human, but with a vampire "failsafe" self within them. It's dormant until they need it, but it still needs to be maintained through drinking blood every day. Eri can survive for 5 days from their last drink until they enter a "frenzy" similar to VTM rules.

So Eri has to satisfy both their human and vampire needs; neglecting one will always lead to negative effects, but admittedly it's better to have their human hunger be put aside if you had to choose...

-If you neglect their vampiric side, they enter a frenzy and will not stop until their hunger is sated;

-If you neglect their human side or their human self is put in mortal danger, their vampiric self "emerges" until their human self is brought back to enough health to be conscious.

i want to be able to show what happens when their vampire needs are neglected when dysme kidnaps them.. bc she has no idea eri is a vampire and ignores their unexplained pleas for fresh blood (cant blame her for this HAHAHAH) she gives them food for their human side but not the vampire, so eri enters a hunger frenzy and practically leaves dysme for dead as a result.

as for the neglect of their human side.. i think when they create their homunculus kid, the final spell needed to complete the process involves offering so much blood it would kill someone. giving up a life to create a new one, in a way. so uh. fun! eri dies giving up all that blood for their kid! ..kinda?

they would tell their friends who know their vampire deal to prepare for that moment, i think. since losing that much blood would also trigger a frenzy theyd ask them to prep enough blood to keep their vampire self sated so they dont . FULLY die yk. until their human self can recover. basically everyone has to deal with new royal heir babby and their monarch being fukfjgn. ouppy-coded for a while. fun times for everyone, im sure...

but ya i just thought id make it like that bc i mean. creating a whole ass person shouldnt be so easy. there are drawbacks and consequences. if their friends hadnt pulled off the plan right eri very much wouldve died for realsies (despite them technically dying for like. a lil bit). raising the stakes like that... but who cares I LOVE YOU HOMUNCULUS BABY! I LOVE YOU VAMPIRE PARENT ERI! SAVE ME!!!! ill come back to edit this post later if i think of more things to add AHAHA so scatterbrained rn
