‘What's the matter?’ He whispered, his eyes though on the fascinating stars.

I wonder what's in him that senses every emotion of mine without me expressing them. It's been years to us being the closest friends and from those years there comes three of them where I fell for him. This is a secret, still kept from him. It's a friendship I perish and if I dare move forward, I'm afraid I'll lose him forever.

‘Nothing, of course,’ I replied without turning to him, because oh his eyes. Bright and alluring, always holding their magic on me.

‘You can't lie to me. I know something is wrong. You never stare at the stars in silence. There's always a beautiful memory of the day you tell me while watching the stars, because don't you say that the stars remind you of happiness?’

The stars remind me of you, the happiness I described was you.

‘They do, indeed,’ I said, ‘But today...’ The sentence hung on for a while until I found it hard to continue it anymore.

‘Tell me, what's wrong?’ His eyes were still wandering from one star to another.

I sighed and started.

‘I don't feel like someone would ever love me. I can't picture anyone having a likeness towards me. I can't picture anyone thinking about me before they fall asleep, there's rarely any impact I put on people. I can't picture them getting butterflies because I greeted or smiled at them. Though, why would they even? I'm not special, very normal. People would find better than me everywhere, why settle for something low?’ I laughed, trying not to sound needy for some sympathy.

His eyes shifted to me. I felt a shiver run down, they had some magic. He smiled and I swear I would've been caught blushing had I not turned away. His fingers gently grabbed my chin and turned my face back to him. He moved closer, his breath was even and smooth unlike my shaky one.

‘You are normal and that's what's special about you. It's not just the greetings or the smile, every word you speak does something to me. That laugh you have, brings butterflies. Every story you narrate lingers in my mind. My nights are incomplete without thinking about you, it makes me restless to meet you again. I understand if you can't picture anyone liking you because I, love you,’

When I thought he couldn't have captured my heart anymore, his tender lips held mine. They stayed there for enough time until our existence felt unknown. There was no me nor him, it was just us. The stars didn't matter anymore, all that mattered was us.

To those who followed me when I was still dream-exo-fantasy. I have found... a gem. My very first series.

This was the story that solidified my precence on this website at the time, and I started crying when I found it.

I was going through my sent emails from 2017 and stumbled across it.

Now I’ve been on the fence for a while deciding what to do about it. I know a lot of people loved this story and I still get asks about where it is till this day.

I want to rewrite it. That’s a given. I started this story in 2016 and looking back at it, there’s a lot I’m dissatisfied with. I’d like to think my writing has improved a lot since then.

But here’s the next part which I’m on the fence about. If I rewrite it... the main character would change to Levi.

I’ve been sitting for a while thinking about it and why I was against it at first. I was thinking it’d do the memory I had of LDE and Sehun a disservice by changing it this way.

However, the more I thought about it, the more Levi started fitting into the shoes of the main character more and more. His personality is perfect for it. Not only that, but he’s somewhat of a muse for me and he’s become my favourite character to write about.

The last thing I want to do is disappoint anybody.

So I was thinking... (please let me know what you think) and I feel like this could be an opportunity for me to see my improvement as a writer side by side:

I rewrite and improve LDE with Levi as the main character. I can post the original version elsewhere for those who are interested in it.

I would love to hear your thoughts about this! Please let me know.

i also enjoy this ‘lookalike’ ten fancam. small, black-haired, rocks a harness well. same unreal physicality as levi, too.
