another personal thing I've been working on. these are gijinkas of video game consoles, specifically those released by Sega. The left "chibi" is the early draft, the right "concept" is the tweaked version.

I'm not sure what to call this series, the current working name is "MURDER" (as in a murder of crows/ravens). They are a series of human-like androids. They each have a "food item" associated with them, like VOCALOIDs.

This is not the same series as the outfits for my avatar, these are completely separate characters, in fact they are clones of RYVN, if that makes any sense. They are like a big family, despite having different last names. They typically go by their surname.

The number in the naming scheme is the respective console's Japanese release date (DD/MM/YY)

RYVN-SQUARE-201085 / Rayven Square

She is a proper gentleman(woman?) and always addresses her sisters and peers with respect, however her inner monologue is vile, thinking that she's the smartest and knows what's best for everybody. She enjoys vintage wine and cabaret clubs, and knows Judo. She is also able to sing with a microphone attachment on the end of her staff. Her favourite food is rare (no-bake) cheesecake. She represents the Sega Mark III / Master System.

RYVN-SPRITE-291088 / Rayven Sprite

A somewhat lazy and unmotivated robot. She considers anything ordinary to be boring, so it takes a lot to impress her. Though she is of average intelligence, she prefers not to apply herself so that her sisters will lower their standards of her and she can get by easier. She can fly and swim with her twin tails. Her favourite food is pancakes. She represents the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis.

RYVN-SYSTEM-061090 / Rayven System

A stereotypical 90's bully-type character. She takes pleasure in teasing her sisters, which gets her bonk'd on the head by Square when she's around. She'll even fight anyone who tries to bully her siblings, because according to her, she's the only one allowed to do that. She'll become enraged if someone even tries to kill one of them, seeing as she only wants them to be humiliated, but not dead. She doesn't like her weapon because she finds it to be "lame" Her favourite food is Japanese-style curry. She represents the Sega Game Gear.

RYVN-NATURAL-062693 / Rayven Natural

At first glance she is very sweet and bubbly, but can be intense when she's teaching. She is childlike but very intelligent and well versed in a lot of subjects. Her patience does not last forever, and can be worn thin if her students (usually humans) get the easiest of questions wrong. When enraged, it takes a while for her to calm down. She likes drawing, but sometimes they turn out to be... unsavoury, let's just say. Her favourite food is omurice. She represents the Sega Pico / Advanced Pico Beena.

RYVN-QUAD-221194 / Rayven Quad

A cold and literal android designed to kill. She is technically two AI in one body; Quad, who is the main AI and control her body and other functions, and Lateral, who lives in Quad's left hand and is there to point the former in the right direction and assist her in combat. The latter is more friendly and easygoing. Outside of combat the two do not get along, but when they work together they are unstoppable. Quad can fly using thrusters in her legs or can summon a pair of wings. Her favourite food is Jello. She represents the Sega Saturn.

RYVN-GIGA-271198 / Rayven Giga

She is kind of dorky and is less naturally cool than her twin Model, but makes up for it with her bravery (and better dancing skills). This does cause her to be reckless at times, such as when driving her twin's cab. She likes things to be at a fast pace and always looks out for her sisters (maybe except for System, because she hates bullies). She has a creative eye and likes making graffiti art. She can also swim and fish. Her favourite food is pudding. She represents the Sega Dreamcast.

RYVN-MODEL-98 / Rayven Model

Giga's more cool and witty twin. She is very careful and cowardly, preferring to take things slow and go with the flow. She was built to aim and shoot perfectly, but she's usually to freaked out to even pull the trigger (especially if her opponent is big and intimidating). She likes collecting old CDs and records. Her favourite food is banana bread. She represents the Sega NAOMI arcade systems and arcade shoot-em-up games.

Hell yes motherfuckers I got my hands on a Sega Pico.

Now I just have to get games for it.

Hopefully one of these, as the current state of Pico emulation doesn't support them.

The Pico is region free, so it shouldn't be too much trouble, and maybe I'll score some other Japanese Pico games as well, because they don't have official storyware scans on the Internet.

Sailor Moon Series - 1994 - Change of Genres 

(No Footage Just Front Cover) 1994 would see the Sailor Moon series make its first appearance on the Sega Pico also known as the Kids Computer Pico with Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon S, as you would imagine a game on something called a Kids Computer Pico this title is an educational collection of mini games and would mark the first time the Sailor Moon licence would move away from the Beat em 'up genre.

In what was a busy year with 7 games released using the Sailor Moon licence, 1994 would see the series move into another genre with the release of Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon S Kondo wa Puzzle de Oshioki yo!!. With this title falling into the Falling block puzzle and Tile matching puzzle genre.

Another change of system for the next release in 1994 and another change in genre with Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon being a visual novel this release was exclusive to the TurboGrafx CD as well as being exclusive to Japan.

(No Footage Just Front Cover) Another change in system for another 1994 release in the Sailor Moon series, this time moving to the Playdia a fifth generation console that was exclusive to Japan.

Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon S Quiz Taiketsu! Sailor Power Kesshū!! is a quiz/trivia game featuring Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter with the game separated into five sections of 20 multiple choice questions.

(1994年、セーラームーンシリーズは「美少女戦士セーラームーンS」でキッズコンピューターピコと��て知られるセガピコに初登場する。キッズコンピューターピコと呼ばれるものでゲームを想像するように、このタイトルはミニゲームの教育的なコレクションであり、セーラームーンライセンスが初めてBeat em 'upジャンルから離れることになる。

セーラームーンのライセンスを使用したゲームが7本発売された忙しい年だったが、1994年には『美少女戦士セーラームーンS こんどうはパズルでおしおきよ！！』が発売され、シリーズが別のジャンルに進出することになる。本作は落ち物パズルや牌合わせパズルのジャンルに入る。

1994年に発売された『美少女戦士セーラームーン 近藤はパズルでおしおきよ！！』は、TurboGrafx CD専用ソフトとして発売された。

(映像なし、表紙のみ）1994年に発売された『美少女戦士セーラームーン』シリーズでは、またもやシステムが変わり、今度は日本専用の第5世代ゲーム機プレイディアに移行した。
