Tianshan fanfiction, as requested
This is my first fanfiction, I mostly wrote it to satisfy my own desire for intimacy and closeness. Watching these two interact strangely fills a hole in my heart. I probably shouldn't depend on it too much
Anyway, ENJOY💓
BEWARE OF TYPOS
“Stay with me”
Mo guan shans' heart flutters, he feels heat rising to his cheeks and feels the warmth of he tians face in his hands, he notices how his body is shaking, shivering . As if he were to break down in any moment.
This happens from time to time. He tian being open, stepping down from his cold, condescending demeanor into a more softer one. A frail person, with deseperate needs to be met and a strong desire to be loved. Mo guanshan wants nothing more than to embrace the guy, to be the shoulder he cries on. But Guan Shan was too scared, too much of a coward. Scared of closeness, just as Much as He tian wanted it. He didn’t know what to do, they were too different of people.
And so he just waited, for the silence to be filled, for He tians moment of vulnerability to pass. He didn’t know what else to do, he was awkward, and feeling uncomfortable with He tian trusting him. He felt like there was little he can do to make him feel better.
So he settled for the bare minimum
“Alright.” he said, reluctantly
He tians eyes widened and he looked up to meet the gingers avoidant gaze. He noted the pink flush spread across Guan Shan's cheeks. The adorable way he's shifting nervously in his place.
“I'll stay, but just for a little bit okay…?” Mo's voice was small and gentle, as if he was speaking to a baby. It was soft, whispery. He tian wanted nothing but to embrace him, to place his head on Mo guan shans shoulders. He was being met half way
He tian smiled and his eyes were warm.
“Thank you.”
There was a moment of stillness, where neither was hiding anything from anyone, trusting within the presence of each other's eyes, open.
But one of them had to break the spell eventually, or esle this would turn into another therapy session.
So He tian let go of his arms and began to walk towards the living room.
“So what do you wanna do? I have uh.. Magazines?”
Mo guanshan scoffed
“What the hell? You mean you have nothing else to do in this place? Not even a tv?!”
He tian laughed sheepishly rubbing his neck
“Eh I never really found the point in buying one, I mostly just.. Read and.. Sit around.”
Guanshans face contorted into a look of confusion, he made his way over to the couch of the dramatically spacious apartment and took out his phone.
"You’re ridiculous, you don’t cook, you don’t clean, you have no hobbies. I’m beginning to believe your only hobby is to annoy me.’ he says, while typing out a message for his Ma.
He tian laughed wholeheartedly and walked over to the couch, sitting next to Mo guan shan “That’s definitely one of my hobbies” then leans into Mo guan shan and heatingly whispers into his ear “and my favorite too.”
Mo guan shan shivers and jumps up
“FUCK” he falls from the couch and He tian rolls his head back laughing. Mo stands up immediately and retreats away from the couch in caution, He tian sees this and pats the seat next to him.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding, come back.”
Mo guan shan shoots daggers at his direction
“So what? So you can be a pervert and molest me ? No thanks!” Mo creates more space between him and He tian, despite his prior moment of vulnerability he still doesnt trust him enough to relax.
“Alright, Alright” He tian begins, then softens his gaze and extends his hand out to him.
“I’ll stop teasing you okay? It’s just so entertaining, but I’ll keep my hands to myself.” He tian says
“Y-you promise? No more funny business?” Mo guan shan asks , hesitantly making his way back over to He tian
“Yeah, pinky promise” He tian raises his pinky to Guan Shan, waiting with a innocent smile on his face. Mo guan shan sighs, tired and still a bit mistrusting, he gives up and interlocks his pinky with his. He tians expression relaxes and he begins to wave their hands back and forth while fondly looking at Moguanshan. He tians gaze bored into his skin, why is he always looking at him like that? What is he thinking? What does he want?
Moguan shan doesn’t understand. He breaks his hand away and looks down, shuffling his feet.
“Why are you always looking at me like that? “ he asks with a breathy tone, timid and unsure.
“Like what?” He tian asks, perking his head to the side in confusion
“Like I dont know, like you see something or..”
He tian shifts closer to mo guan shan, but not too much to invade his boundaries
“I do see something little mo, I see a person who is very important to me.”
At that Mo guan shans eyes widen and he flinches back again, his cheeks glowing a bright red. He looks at he tian with questions in his eyes
“W-WHO? ME? THATS-” Mo guans shan stutters at his words and struggles to understand the fluttering sensation In his stomach and the feeling of warmth arising in his heart.
He tian laughs again freely
“Yes idiot, you’re precious to me.”
Mo guan shan looks confused “B-but why? What the heck have I done for you?”
He tian sits back and looks introspective, his gaze wanders far away and a soft smile perched on his features.
“You make me feel.. I don’t know. Alive. I’ve never felt this way with anyone before. You make me feel safe and happy."
He continues
“Your the type of person that has a kind heart, even if you try to hid it, it makes me feel loved. ” He tians expression then turns sad, as if he’s remember something. Mo guan shan again, did not know how to deal with this level of sincerity.
‘Me? Make him feel loved? But I just push him away. I don’t get it’
So mo guan shan sits down on the seat next to him, after a couple beats of reflective silence
“You don’t.. Feel loved?” Mo begins awkwardly, looking at everything but he tians expression.
He tian sighs and sits into the question “I don’t know. How is it supposed to feel like?”
“I dont know..” mo guan shan continued, rubbing the back off his neck
“Warm.. i guess. I feel that way with my ma, when she takes care of me. Other than that, I don’t really know.” They both sit back and watch the sky above the city from He tians pent house. The stars were gleaming in the night and the city life was loud under the darkness.
He tian sighs. “Warm. ” he breathes out, relaxing his gaze
“I guess, i’m feeling it right now then.”
He tian looks to the left and watches as Mo guan shans eyes widen again, he can never get tired of those cute, shy expressions.
Mo, to his mistake, turns to the right and catches he tians gaze on him. The same way he was looking at him before, but it was more intense this time.
His heartbeat speeds up, he feels hot from the inside, flustered, embarrassed and… he doesn't know what else, something tingling.
“I guess…” He tian continues, while looking into Mo's auburn eyes “that means I love you.”
Both their eyes widen and they lean back from eachother in shock. Confusion, fear arising. Mo guan shan for one, did not know how to feel. Disgust, confusion, judgement, all these emotions were spiraling within his body, he froze there paralyzed, unknowing of how to react or respond,
“I..” He tian started, trying to cover, to fix what he just said “I mean uhh..” After desperate attempts to reorganize his mind, he just sighed and dropped his shoulders down in defeat.
“I’m sorry” He whispers “that was probably too much, I dont even know what I’m doing.” he says exasperately, running his hands through his hair. He’s shaking. “You probably want to go home now.” He tian has made things worse, He wanted Mo guans shan to stay, but didn’t know how to calmly deal with his presence if it’s not getting overly emotional and attached all the time. He knows he has to learn to give him space, to breathe and relax, but He tian likes being around him too much. He has no self control.
“I’ll call you a cab. ” He tian begins to stand up from the couch when he feels something pull at his jacket, mo guan shans hand tugging at his sleeve. Both remain still, so much calculation, overanalyzing in the air, they dont know how to stop
Mo guan shan then retreat his hand hurriedly and coughs awakwardly,
“It’s fine.. It’s fine okay? Let’s just watch a movie.
He tians shoulders slump in relief. Thank god, he didn’t mess up his chance to be with him. Okay.. he can handle a movie. He can control himself.
“Okay,” He tian whispers and sits back on the couch, tentative seconds pass and he asks “uh.. What movie?” Mo guan shan seems flustered too, overly conscious of his presence.
“I dont know. I’m assuming you dont watch movies. let’s just scroll through netflix and see whats good.”
Netlfix and chill? He tian almost says but he stops himself, he know it’s too soon to be making jokes like that.
Guan Shan takes out his phone and begins scrolling
“Uh.. fast and the furious?” He asks. He tian shrugs “Sure.” He doesnt really care for it, but if Guan Shan wants it, he’s alright with that.
They begin to watch the movie and He tian notices something. Mo keeps casting looks at him throughout the movie. He hastedly flicks his gaze back onto the movie before he is caught, but it still evokes his curiosity
“What?” he tian laughs at his shyness
“Uh.. arent you cold? It’s like 30 degrees in here.”
He tian shrugs “Nah, I’m used to it.” he replies and he watches as Guan shans face contorts, his eyebrows strewn together
“What the fuck? You’re shaking.” He tian notices how he actually is cold, and is happy that guan shan took awareness of this
“Warm me up then, little Mo” He tian wiggles his eyebrows and to his surprise Mo guan shan, stands up and walks towards his bed.
“Where are you going”
“Shutup ” he was responded with
Moguan shan then came back with a big cover blanket and He tian insides swirl in excitement, awe and fondness.
Shan sits back on the couch, with an indignant expression in his face, cheeks flushed and to his surprise, places the blanket gently on He tians body. He tian was frozen, in shock, overwhelmed with happiness.
“What about you?” He tian asks, more like a statement than a question
“Im fine.” Shan replies still feeling really embarrassed and was about to pick up his phone to continue watching when he feels two warm hands cover him under the blanket. Mo stiffens, his shoulders tense, but then he relaxes into it, his body welcoming the warmth. It was almost, as if he was overthinking the whole thing. As if this is what he wanted all along. He feels protected almost. Safe.
Mo guan shan then feels two hands touch at his face and he looks to the left to see he tian smiling happily.
“Now we’re both warm. ”
The implication of his words sent another shiver down his spine. Did he feel warm? I guess he did, he was just too busy fighting to feel it.
“Y-yeah. I… feel warm” He tians smile.. If even possible, widened some more and insexplanably, surprisingly, tears starting welling up at the corner of his eyes until He tian began to cry. Quiet snuffles, he turned his head away slightly, snuggling deeper into the blanket, shaking. He felt loved, so so loved
“H-hey.. What- what happened? Dont cry.” Mo guan shan shifts closer to he tian and takes his wet face in his hands, he feels the tears running down his cheeks, “It’s okay” Mo whispered quietly and he tian leans into his touch, then leans into mo guan shans body and tucks his face under the crook of his neck. Mo stiffens up, feels the wetness at his skin. Without thinking, He reaches his hands up and softly strokes he tians hair.
“I’m here” he says which made he tian cry even more.
Mo guan shan wasnt sure what was going on, all he knew is that he felt a deep fondness for He tian, and he wanted to shield him from all his fears. He wanted to stay. With him.
After a few minutes, he tian calms down and guan shan feels fingers attempting to interlock with his, beneath the blanket,. Hesitant, shy, he interlocks them. It feels like home
“Stay with me, forever” he tian whispers, guttural, rough and gentle
Mo guan shan settles further into the warmth of of the blanket and rubs his thumb over He tians hand. Warm.
“Alright” he says
He feels warm

tianshan / drunk Mo, turns out he's a flirty, funny or clingy one. He Tian suffers.
26.
The call comes past midnight. The roads into the city are quiet, a few roadworks the only hindrance, but He Tian has driven through sunset to dark skies with little delay, skyscrapers and communication towers rising up in the distance like mountains dressed with campfires. He’s taken his time, beating his ETA by only a few minutes, and he should be able to get a few hours of sleep before the morning conference call.
In hindsight, getting home was a simple goal, the achievement plain, but the circumstances surrounding his life rarely welcome ‘simple’, and he should’ve known this well.
He answers the call on the sixth ring, debating whether to answer at all, and Jian Yi’s excited breathing is heavy through the car’s built-in speakers. He Tian, wincing, turns the volume down.
‘It’s late,’ he says.
‘It’s Guan Shan,’ Jian Yi says.
He Tian’s foot slips on the accelerator, the car rolling to a slow, dangerous speed on the G95, before pressing back down on it. Hard.
‘I’m on the Expressway,’ He Tian says, glancing in his mirrors. His heartbeat aches in his throat, sweat prickling between his shoulder blades. He ignores it. ‘Where are you? Where’s Guan Shan?’
‘He’s fine–we’re together. We’re in a bar by…’ A rustle. ‘Fuck, it’s–Xixi!’ Jian Yi shouts, phone held away from his mouth, but not far enough. ‘Hey, Xixi! Where are we!’ In the background, muffled movement, bass thrumming, the low tones of a tenor voice. At the thought of Zhengxi being there too, He Tian lets himself breathe again. ‘By Huhai,’ Jian Yi says, mouth back to the receiver. ‘Can you get here?’
He Tian closes his eyes briefly. He knows the area, brightly lit bars nestled beside the lake, live music spilling onto the steady surface of the water, streets petering off into quiet courtyards and narrow Hutongs. He Tian’s mind hinges on the water, images the three men stumbling along its artificial banks. Not deep enough to drown in, surely, and Guan Shan would never be that drunk. Surely.
‘He Tian,’ Jian Yi says, swallowing thickly, moving his mouth carefully around the microphone. ‘He’s talking.’
He Tian goes quiet; his mouth, he realises, has run dry. With his eye on the digital speed indicator, he manages, eventually: ‘What do you mean talking?’
‘I’ve never heard him say such beautiful words, He Tian. Who knew the guy was capable of such feeling!’ Less emphatic: ‘Or any feeling, if we’re being perfectly honest with each other.’
‘Jian Yi,’ He Tian says coolly. ‘What do you mean by talking?’
‘About you. The miserable bastard’s so in love I think he’s going to start crying.’ Jian Yi hiccups. ‘Crying! With his personality! And Xixi won’t even let me film it, the straight-edged, good for nothing–’
‘I’m on my way,’ He Tian cuts in, and then hangs up.
–
‘El-oh-em-el. Light of my life. Love of my life.’ Guan Shan breathes in sharp, a whistling inhale. His reaching hands fall on nothingness, scrabbling on air. ‘Where you goin’? Hey, where are you–’
‘To get you some water.’
When He Tian returns, after looking darkly at Jian Yi and Zhengxi who are propped against the bar, Guan Shan has gone quiet. Docile, almost. He’s sitting on a low sofa in the corner of the bar; an art deco lamp fractures dark red lighting over his skin and leaves the rest of him in shadows, and He Tian takes note of the dilation of his pupils, the web of red veins across the white, bloodshot from tiredness and too much liquor. His breath is sweet-sour from vodka and liqueurs swallowed like shots, and He Tian can smell the sweat on his skin, the scent of him, hot and bothered and drunk.
He Tian presses the glass into his hand, watches him drink in small, carefully thought out sips, as if each movement might lead to tragedy.
‘You’re angry,’ Guan Shan murmurs. ‘You’re annoyed wi’ me.’
‘I’m not annoyed,’ He Tian says evenly, crouching down before him.
‘Angry.’
He Tian sighs. ‘No.’
‘Then–you’re somethin’. I can see it. Your eyes’ve gone all… judgy and dark.’
He Tian lifts his eyebrows. ‘Judgy?’
‘Like when you’re thinkin’ about doin’ somethin’ to someone. All…’ He points two fingers at his eyes, turns them and jabs them towards He Tian’s. ‘All macho and protective and shit.’
For someone as wasted as he is, He Tian commends Guan Shan for still being so astute. He leans back on his heels, breathes out what feels like every particle of air harboured in his lungs. How to explain it; how to make Guan Shan see reason, even at the best of times. He Tian knows—he’s come to understand—that his own logic is not infallible, that Guan Shan catches him at the simplest things, but out of the both of them, Guan Shan’s stubbornness can be exhausting.
‘You’re susceptible like this,’ He Tian says. ‘I wasn’t here, you’re steaming drunk, and–anyone could come along and…’
‘Ugh,’ Guan Shan says, mouth twisted in disgust. ‘You sayin’ that ‘cause you’re worried ‘bout me or ‘cause you’re worried ‘bout you?’
He Tian considers this. ‘Can I be worried about both?’ he ventures.
Guan Shan pulls a face, slams the half-empty glass of water down on the table in front of him, liquid sloshing over the sides. Face like thunder, all flirtation gone; all poetic romanticism dissipated into sour discontent. He Tian wants to kiss his pouting lips, wants to brush away the wetness from his lashes.
Oh, God, He Tian thinks, wishing he were less sober. Is there anything he could do to make me be less in love with him?
‘Guan Shan,’ he murmurs, leaning forward slightly. ‘Why are you drinking like this?’
Guan Shan doesn’t meet his eye. ‘Who d’you think was payin’?’
‘Those idiots should’ve known when to stop pouring.’
‘Can’t I just be drunk?’ Guan Shan demands. ‘Can’t I just—drink until I forget I fuckin’ miss you? I felt alone and you weren’t fuckin’ here and… I missed your voice and how low it gets and your judgy eyes and—and your back... Your back is just... really fuckin’ nice and...’ He deflates, all energy gone, folded over like a wind-up toy run out of momentum. He Tian stares at him, leans in, waits for moment, and then—a single, faint snore.
He Tian sighs. Guan Shan has his chin tucked under him, his shoulders curved inwards in a slump. In a minute, he might start drooling. He Tian puts his hand out, feels Guan Shan’s steady breath on his palm, holds himself back from trailing his fingertips across Guan Shan’s face.
Out like a fucking light.
‘Wow,’ says Jian Yi, coming to stand behind He Tian’s shoulder. ‘He really went hard, huh?’
He Tian tilts his head up, smiles. ‘And whose fault is that?’
Hands go up, defensive, and Jian Yi starts to back away. ‘I take no responsibility! He’s a grown fucking adult! At least give me credit for calling you.’
He Tian gives him no credit at all—for now, he has the responsibility of getting Guan Shan home. They’re not kids anymore, but He Tian still has a few extra inches and a few extra pounds of muscle that make it only a little taxing to gather Guan Shan into his arms, head resting on his shoulder, and to carry him out the bar.
He Tian settles Guan Shan into his car with a smile, careful to watch his head, letting his lips linger on Guan Shan’s jawline as he buckles up the seat belt, breathing in the scent of him.
He smiles still as he drives through the city and has to drag his eyes back onto the road. He’s looking forward to the morning.

I wonder I ox will ever show us again some mafia related stuff like cheng with a gun in the the exploiting boat. I like the fluff in the story but also the mafia related stuff makes it more interesting. Also, can't wait to read the fanfic your talking about.
Good afternoon, dear anon-san!
“I wonder I ox will ever show us again some mafia related stuff”
To answer your question in short, yes. Given that we already know what will ultimately happen to Jian Yi and that He Tian will most probably have a role to play in it, I think it’s pretty obvious we will get to see more of the mafia-related action. That is the premise that was promised to us in the very beginning. It’s just that the pacing and publication format of 19 Days forces us to be very patient with our expectations.
However, I can’t disagree with your sentiment. As much as I love the fluffy content or the boys just being kids together, I can’t deny I’d love to see more of these kinds of shots again soon (ch. 105, 165, 196, 244, 251, 260):
The slice of life content is very nice, but I kind of miss the gritty and action-packed mafia stuff, too. Kisses that taste like iron, bloodied knuckles, and traces of gunpowder. Having a getaway bag, a thick stack of cash stashed away and being ready to leave at a moment’s notice. Not knowing when you’ll see each other the next time but not having enough time to say goodbye. Broken promises that were never meant to hold because that’s the kind of world you live in.
Besides the aesthetics, the mafia storyline also holds tons of answers for questions we’ve been asking for so long (ch. 168, 192, 217, 229, 241, 251):
Who is Mr. Jian? Who is Mrs. Jian really? What is she capable of? What exactly is the connection between Mr. Jian and Mr. He? How is Mo Guan Shan’s family connected to all this? How much does He Tian know about the things kept from him? Who or what poses the threat that everyone seems to be getting ready for? How deep will He Tian be forced to sink back to help his friends? I feel like we still haven’t read most of the story and Jian Yi’s actual kidnapping will be the thing that triggers a lot of gears into motion.
As I said earlier, the pacing of 19 Days challenges our patience. We get about a chapter per week, and multiple chapters only consisting of a few frames can be stretched to cover one afternoon. That is more than enough to skew our sense of time. According to the fan-made estimates, it has taken years to tell the story of a couple of months. We are waiting to see major plot twists and the story to move forward when completely forgetting about how time works inside the story. And yet, I can’t deny that OX seems to have settled to slow the pace down even more recently. We have been getting a lot of chapters focusing on developing Tianshan, the slice of life antics of the boys, and now them learning music.
That being said, though, there is clearly gears turning in the background. Ever since brother Qiu came to take Jian Yi to live at He Cheng’s place, there has been an undertone of tension building and promising collision (ch. 279, 280, 285, 287, 289):
Sure, Qiu’s increasing presence has been a source for a lot of humor but it has also shifted the tone. Wherever Jian Yi (or the group turns), Qiu is looming in the background. So far, his assignment is to maintain the status quo and just keep a close eye on Jian Yi. But we know he also has the means to grab Jian Yi at a moment’s notice if whatever is going on behind the “scenes” so demands. He is the barrier that protects Jian Yi but also the link that keeps him further connected to some very dangerous people.
What adds another layer to this is He Tian’s role and attitude. For the most part, he hasn’t really interfered with the situation but he’s clearly observing it closely. Maybe he doesn’t have the power to actually change anything, so he kind of settles with being a nuisance. Qiu’s (and He Cheng’s) presence makes him uneasy and irks him, but at the same time, he doesn’t have true power to stop them. At what point will the subtle feelings that have been accumulated reach their peak and He Tian will get that look in his eyes again while standing up to his family?
So, yes, it might be slow going but winter is definitely coming.
“can't wait to read the fanfic your talking about”
Aww, thank you! That makes two of us. I’m excited about this story but also frustrated. Patiently waiting for the story to start making sense to me, so I can stop banging my head against the wall 😅
Thank you for your question, dear anon-san!

Fanboys and Fake IDs (1/?)
“Bro, bro, bro!”
Guan Shan hears his friend shouting from across the courtyard, he turns and sees Xiao Tutou coming towards him looking excited.
“Shan, Shan, Shan,” he yells when he’s up to him.
“What’s up with you?” Guan Shan asks, rarely seeing his friend this excited.
“Guess what my brother and sister got me for my birthday,” he squeals, like actual squeals.
“I don’t know, a new video game,” Guan Shan guesses. He knew his friend wanted a multiplayer game that just came out. He would have gotten it for him if it wasn’t so expensive, so he settled for getting him a skateboard, which he fixed up himself. It seems like Xiao Tutou likes it, cause he’s been riding it to school the whole week.
“Nope, just the most amazing gift ever! Well, except for the gift you gave me, which I love”.
“Yeah thanks, but what did they give you?” It must be really good. Xiao Tutou is the middle child of seven siblings, the oldest brother, twin sisters, himself, two more twin siblings and the youngest is a baby sister and they all care for each other.
“They gave me not ONE, but TWO tickets to see, guess who” he makes a face like he can’t stop smiling and Guan Shan finally gets it.
“No way! You’re going to see 19 Days!”
“You mean WE are going to see 19 Days! Oh, AND Li Xiu Ying!”, he waves the tickets in front of Guan Shan’s face.
“Me?” Guan Shan questions confused.
“Yep, you’re the only other person I know who knows who they are, plus you have a crush on Li Xiu Ying” he winks.
“I don’t have a crush on her,” Guan Shan blushes. “She’s just an awesome guitarist, one of the best, I admire her skills,” he explains.
“Yeah yeah whatever, so are you in?” He hands Guan Shan a ticket.
“Fuck yeah” Guan Shan give him a high five. He then looks at the ticket and notices a huge problem. “Wait. This is at club Wolf, we can’t get in there. They’re strict on checking ID’s after that high school girl almost died and had to get her stomached pumped. The cops raid that place all the time.”
“Yeah,” he scratches the back of his head trying to avoid eye contact, “I was hoping you could do something about that”.
“Me? What could-“ Mo thought about and then it hit him. “No.”
“Please, it’s a once in a lifetime chance. Come on, it’s our favorite band and Li Xiu Ying is playing too. Besides you already have a fake it’s just me that needs one.”
“My mom found mine awhile ago when she was doing the laundry. I fucking forgot in my pants. Plus I got mine from She Li. I can’t go and ask him for a favor, especially after everything that has happened, he’ll kill me.”
“Yeah right, She Li forgives you every single time. You were like his favorite. Before you saved me he would have made a scar right on my face unlike what he gave you.” Xiao Tutou notices Guan Shan’s worried face and is quick to apologize. “I’m sorry boss it’s just…he’s done a lot worse to other guys for a lot less. Remember that kid who dropped juice on his new shoes. Dude still can’t hold a pencil right.”
Memories of him begging on his knees for She Li to forgive him cross his mind. “Yeah, but you don’t know what I had to do afterward.” He remembers how She Li would say that he can’t give him special treatment just cause they’re friends and that he doesn’t mean what he did to Guan Shan and if wants to stay friends he’d have to work harder. He can already hear the whispers, ‘who else is going to want you. I’m all you got’. He used to believe that.
“I’ll be with you the entire time. If he tries anything, we leave and find someone else to help us.”
Mo contemplates his options, act like a fool for She Li and go to the concert or act like a fool and not go to the concert. Hell, he’s going to that concert, if he has to stroke She Li’s ego then fuck it, he’ll do it. It’s not like he’s getting rid of his pride, no one can take that away from him. It’s his and his alone. “Alright, I’ll talk to She Li,” he finally agreed.
“Yes!! You definitely won’t regret-.”
“Who’s talking to She Li?” The question comes out of nowhere, scaring the both of them.

So in chapter 319/320 of 19 days we see He Tian comforting Mo Guan Shan after he opened up about his past with She Li.
Now I figure Old Xian won't do this cause it would be super out of character for HT right now but if he reacts the same way as he did in 320, im gonna throw hands.
Because in this situation HT is obviously trying to make light of the situation and even jokes about it showing the lack of empathy he has towards others, especially Mo when he's being vulnerable.
But with the latest chapter we see that it now also affects HT so its lovely to see him mature in a way (obviously not from the best circumstances tho) but I'm excited to see how Old Xian is gonna show this new found empathy and maturity in HT moving forward.

Secret Santa
TianShan Xmas Event: Presents (Day 2) Fandom: 19 days Rating: Mature Status: 1/2 Warnings: None Pairing: TianShan Words: 4,102
Summary: Based on this freaking hilarious & amazing prompt!! I hope you don’t mind that I ran with it. I’m not sure this is what you expected but hey lol enjoy!
When Mo took the volunteer job at the mall, he had done so begrudgingly. It was punishment after all, brought about by boiled-over frustration that had fueled the language he’d used to respond to his teacher’s inquiries about his tardiness. It was the third time that week he’d been late. Put on the spot, he didn’t know how to explain that money was always tight around the holidays and he’d been walking to and from school each morning in lieu of the train.
He was monopolizing any place he could cut some corners to save a few dollars. The allowance he got wasn’t much, but he saved as much of it as possible. This year he’d told himself he’d get his mom something good for Christmas. He hated seeing that overjoyed look on her face when she opened his handmade or cheap gifts. Like the “Mom of the Year” plaque he’d made in shop class last year that she boasted about having on her desk at the hospital, or the cheap earrings he’d bought at a stand she still wore proudly several times a week. A person like her deserved better, she deserved the world, and it frustrated him that he was just a broke high school student.
Getting a job was, “Completely out of the question!” she’d barked when he had off-handedly mentioned it. It was her duty to provide for him, not the other way around. If they needed to make ends meet, she’d work double shifts, he couldn’t afford to slack off on his studies.
Seeing his taken-aback expression, she’d softened instantly. “I know you mean well honey,” she’d said a hand cupping his cheek, “but we’re doing fine.”
The command to, “See me after class!” had been given on the spot and when the bell rang Mo hung back, dread setting in. He waited until the room cleared before even considering approaching his teacher’s desk.
Taking a breath, he stood and gathered his belongings, packing them up slowly, stalling for time. Sweat from his palms smeared along the cover of his history textbook as he fumbled with it, slick fingers shoving it into his bag. He nearly yanked the zipper off his bag when his name is called.
The walk to the front from his back-row seat seemed infinite, blood pulsing in his ears, each step forward magnified in the now empty classroom. But then he was there, hanging back a few steps as if proximity could diminish his impending punishment. He figured this slip-up would earn him a few days minimum in detention.
“What?” Mo spat standing uncomfortably in front of the teacher’s desk. Agitation amounting from anticipation.
The man looked up with a raised eyebrow.
“Watch your tone with me, that little outburst you had this morning coupled with your tardiness has you looking at a week-long suspension right now.”
“What the fuck!” Mo exploded.
The man slammed his open palm down on the desk. “Language!”
Mo flinched.
He pointed a finger level with Mo’s chest. “One more offense like that and we can finish this conversation in the principal’s office.”
Mo clenched his fists, seething, he could feel his temper flaring but he nodded. A week long fucking suspension? His mom was going to kill him.
“As of today you have been tardy 13 times! 13! And you don’t just show up five minutes late, oh no! Sometimes you stroll in here 20 to 30 minutes late. I need an explanation for this, it’s completely unacceptable!”
When Mo remained silent the man rubbed at his temples, trying to ease the tension gathered there, then sighed.
“Look Guan Shan, I’ve seen a significant amount of improvement in your schoolwork and behavior this year. I’m proud of you. I don’t want to see you start backsliding, got it?”
“Got it,” Mo mumbled.
“Look, let’s make a deal: The Humanitarian Club, which I lead, needs a few more volunteers for our Santa’s Workshop at the mall. We desperately need a photographer as our current one recently got sick with the flu and I know one of your electives this year was photography. I’ve seen your work and I’m pretty confident in your ability. You’d just have to take photos of the kids sitting on Santa’s lap.”
“I..” Mo hesitated.
“Don’t feel pressured to do it but.. I’ll be frank with you, it’s either this or suspension. At least this won’t show up on your record. Also, I’d need you to be able to commit to doing it for two weeks, just until our photographer gets better.”
An image of his mother’s disappointed face flashed through his mind, he sighed… but two weeks?
“Ok, when do I start?”
His teacher smiled, glasses glinting. “Today.”
That afternoon Mo found himself at the local mall, and as the automatic doors slid open he was immediately engulfed in a retail wonderland, Christmas style. He wandered around for a bit, window shopping, eyes drinking in the season’s assortment of clothing and trainers in his favorite shop’s windows.
Truth be told, he wasn’t exactly sure where he was supposed to meet for this volunteer job, he hadn’t really paid attention to the details. He been too relieved that he wouldn’t have to explain to his mother his suspension and could instead spin the situation in his favor, as doing some community service out of the goodness of his own heart, having caught the holiday spirit. Yeah… she was going to see right through that lie.
In the food court he made his rounds, filling up on free samples to stave off his hunger until dinner. As he exited the half circle of vendors he could see a Santa’s Workshop display near the children’s play area. Tossing the toothpick the last sample had been on, he shouldered his backpack and headed over.
The site was bustling and he could recognize plenty of familiar faces from school. A few eyed him warily given his delinquent reputation, but most were absorbed in their duties.
Amid the group he spied Zhan and felt his body relax, not realizing how much tension had built up. This might not be so bad after all, he thought. Zhan barely talked but neither did he, at least he knew someone here.
“You too?” He inquired as he approached, bumping Zhan’s outstretched fist.
“In a way, my mom’s part of the PTA,” he stated as if that explained everything. “Apparently they never get enough volunteers.”
“Where’s Jian Yi?”
“Why do you assume he’d be here? We don’t do everything together.”
Mo waited.
Zhan sighed. “He had clean-up duty after school & caught a later train, he should be here in a few.”
“Alright everyone,” a bespectacled girl addressed the group. Movement halted as everyone paused giving her their full attention.
“Last week was great and we had an amazing turn out!” Many in the group clapped and whistled.
“Let’s try to do even better this week,” she laughed. “You know your positions, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to talk to me. Let’s go out there and spread some holiday cheer!” A few whooped in response, Mo rolled his eyes.
They all drifted to their respective roles, and as the crowd thinned the girl’s eyes fell on him.
“Oh, it’s you,” she sighed in annoyance. Mo recognized her as his class rep from middle school. The same one that had demanded he stop playing cards on school time.
“Pleasure to see you too,” he quipped.
“Save it, come on so we can get you set up and out of my hair.”
Off to the side there was a trolley parked with several suitcases stacked on top, she pulled off the topmost one, resting it gently on the floor and unzipped it. Nestled between foam cushioning laid the nicest camera Mo had ever seen, let alone touched. She removed it from its casing and held it out to him.
“You’ll be shooting with this.”
Taking it gingerly from her, he cradled it carefully in both hands. The DSLR was a larger model, a Nikon D series, he tested its weight, pleased that it was nice and solid, felt good in his hands. He ran his fingers along the textured gripping on the side. The lens he could tell came standard but the depth it could shoot was still considerable. He’d be able to get plenty of clear, close up shots. Damn he was in love, he would in a few words, totally fuck this camera. It was sexy as hell and sensitive to the touch. Bringing it up to his face, he aligned the eyepiece carefully along the curve of his cheek and brow, lightly pressed the shutter release. The smooth click of the shutter opening and closing was music to his ears, like the purr on a nice sports car. He thumbed at the playback button to review the photo. It was displayed on the screen in crisp quality; a Christmas tree in a store front effortlessly preserved in time.
“Nice,” Mo breathed.
“The photos you take will save automatically & transfer immediately to that computer station,” she pointed “where we display them to allow parents to pick their favorite. There’s a tripod in that bag too that you’ll shoot from, you just need to set up in front of Santa’s chair. All I ask is, that at the end of the night you box everything up just how you found it.”
“Sounds easy enough, so all I have to do is take the pictures.”
“Yea, try not to fuck it up. Oh, also ruin that camera and I’ll kill you.”
“Noted.”
“Oh, one more thing.” She unfolded an elf hat, and held it out to him. “I need you to wear this.”
“I’m not wearing that,” Mo said dismissively.
A hand clutched his forearm and she looked up into his face, light obscuring her eyes behind thick frames, “Yes, you are.”
“Okay, okay!” Mo exclaimed. What the hell was wrong with these people??
To their left a child bounded down the roped off line, dragging his mother behind him.
She patted his arm. “You’re on.”
Once Mo set up the camera and tripod, which he would admit he struggled with, just a tad, things ran smoothly.
The first few kids, though excited, followed his instructions to smile and say cheese. The student playing Santa he was sure helped facilitate the process, the guy was really good with kids. He greeted them in a cheery manner and made them feel comfortable. He even calmed a watery-eyed little girl, wiped her tear streaked cheeks and got her to smile wide for the camera.
Mo couldn’t help but find himself chuckling at some of the jokes he could hear exchanged or Santa’s reactions to their wish lists. It softened his mood and he found himself greeting the parents and kids in similar pleasant manner. He was almost disappointed when 7:30 rolls around and they close-up shop for the day. Almost. Gathering up the camera and tripod he carried them both back to the trolley; unzipped the travel bag and folded up the tripod stowing it neatly in its compartment. Before packing up the camera he pressed the playback button, cycling through the images he’d taken over the past few hours, mentally making notes of where he’d succeeded and how he could improve.
“Nice work today,” a voice said and he was ashamed of the brief scream he emitted.
“Could you announce yourself.”
The class rep leaned back, a smirk on her face. “Where’s the fun in that? Anyways, I saw the shots you took, good thing your stay is only temporary or our current photographer would be out of a job.”
“I…”
“You’re talented, glad to have you on the team. I’ll see you tomorrow,” she clasped his shoulder briefly before walking away.
Mo soaked in her words, a newfound vigor guiding his actions as he popped out the camera’s battery and stuck it into a portable charger to power-up overnight. I’m… talented.
The words carried him afloat as he left, waving an honest goodbye to the few stragglers. Zhan was still hanging around the set and Mo moved to see if wanted to walk home together but the other politely declined. Mo could see Jian Yi cleaning up the and he gets it. No explanation needed.
The high got him through the sliding doors of the mall exit only to be knocked flat on his ass.
He was blinded for a few seconds as the stupid elf hat he forgot to take off is knocked askew covering his eyes. Rage ensued.
“Who in the mother fuck is looking for death?!”
He ripped the hat off and was met with an outstretched hand in his face. Genuinely confused he looked up as the owner of the hand chuckled.
Fucking He Tian, of course.
“Don’t you have a graveyard to lurk in?” Mo bit out irritably, and smacked away the offered hand.
“Are you implying that I’m the grim reaper? I like that,” He Tian purred.
“That wasn’t a compliment.” Mo got gingerly to his feet, dusted his pants.
“Why are you even here? The mall’s closed.”
“I was doing some shopping,” he gestured to the small bag dangling from his wrist.
Mo could tell by the bag’s logo it was from some pricey jewelry store. He rolled his eyes. “Fancy gift for one of your admirers, I’m sure.”
“Not quite,” He Tian said but didn’t offer an explanation.
“Anyways, I gotta get going so are we done here?”
“I can’t lie you look pretty cute in that get-up,” He Tian said, looking him up and down. “Why don’t you come sit on my lap.”
“Yeah, you’re about the 5th guy to spit that line today,” Mo remarked pushing past him. “Try again.”
“Hmm okay, you know you’re pretty cute when you’re wrapped up in your own little world.”
“The hell kind of comment is that?”
“I saw you walking, you looked content with yourself. A nice change from your usual mad at the world persona.”
“And for this you chose to knock me on my ass.”
“You bumped into me, actually.”
“Right.”
“Why don’t you let me walk you home?”
“How ‘bout no?” Mo said stalking off. Body tensed in anticipation of the strong arm he knew would swing around his shoulders and drag him off anyways but nothing came.
He glanced over his shoulder but He Tian was gone. Weird.
The next day wasn’t as easy as the first. It was, in short, mild chaos.
Mo bounced a screaming baby on his hip as the mother and Santa tried to console its twin. He looked down into her ruddy face, eyes squeezed shut, tiny fists balled as she opened her mouth, silent for a few seconds catching her breath, little body vibrating with the subdued rage she planned to unleash. Mo sighed steeling himself for another round of screaming.
‘Why are you crying? You have no real problems, fuck I should be crying.’
“Say cheese,” he dead panned as the mother finally stepped out of the frame, the other child momentarily consoled.
The baby looked surprised in the picture but at least he wasn’t crying. Good enough. Handing over twin number two to Santa, he glanced at the endless line of parents and toddlers.
“Let’s get this over with.”
Click!
The daily 15-minute breaks were heaven sent and he executed his usual system of hitting up the food court, stopping at every food place offering free samples. By the time he had reached the end, his appetite was comfortably sated. There was still about ten minutes left before he was due for the second half of his shift so he sat on a bench nearby, pulled out his phone to review his finances. The amount he’d saved up so far gave him enough bandwidth to explore several options but he still had no clue what to buy his mom for Christmas. After making this much effort it had to be good, memorable, but what do you get the woman that claimed she had everything she’d ever wanted. He rested his chin in his hand in defeat. Ughh, this shouldn’t be so hard. The bench jostled and he glanced to his left, surprised to see Santa sitting next to him.
“Hey. the guy offered, voice muffled by the giant white beard that obscured most of his face. One hand shifted his belly so he could sit comfortably.
“Hey..” Mo returned.
“Nice job out there today, I didn’t know you were so good with kids.”
“Likewise man, today was.. something else.”
Santa cracked open a bottle of water, taking a few gulps. “Yeah we have days like that but it’s generally smooth sailing.”
They sat in silence for a bit, the soft murmur of the bustling mall and crinkling of the water bottle drifted between them.
“You.. can’t take the costume of?” Mo asked, breaking the silence.
“Nah, can’t risk one of the kids seeing me and realizing Santa’s not a chubby jolly old white dude. Imagine if they found out he isn’t only not real but a high-schooler.
Mo laughed. “They’ll find out sooner or later.”
“That’s cold man,” Santa said but his grey eyes twinkled behind the spectacles.
Mo shrugged, checked his phone. “Crap, breaks up. I’ll see you back at the workshop.”
Santa raised an arm in farewell. “See you.”
Mo jogged the short distance back, but couldn’t shake the odd feeling that he knew Santa. He couldn’t place why exactly, but the costume restrictions made it difficult to see what he looked like and his voice didn’t sound familiar. Whatever, he would ask him his name next time he had a chance.
As soon as he stepped back on site the class rep ushered him back to the camera, scolding him about tardiness being why he was here in the first place.
Face breaking into a scowl, all previous thoughts vanished from his mind as he double-checked the camera battery supply and adjusted the lighting. He’d just finished tidying up around Santa’s chair when the guy returned from break. Mo resumed his place at the camera as the line reopened and mildly subdued chaos ensued.
Two days down. A week and a half to go.
“Who the fuck are you supposed to be? Rudolph?” Mo addressed Jian Yi as he unpacked the camera and tripod for his shift.
“No,” Jian Yi sniffled, wiping at his vividly red nose. “I’m sick. I think I caught something from one of these brats.” He sneezed, open mouthed of course, snot and drool dripping.
“Gross dude, cover your mouth, you aren’t five,” Mo muttered hastily gathering his supplies so he could vacate the area asap.
Every day that passed without coming to a decision on what to get his mom was making him more and more irritable. Walking out to the set, camera at the ready, the sounds of crying increased the closer he got, an opposing battle cry.
Please, just take me now.
When his break came around, he found himself anticipating the arrival of Santa. It’s not like Mo was looking for the guy or anything. Yet meeting up had become almost an unspoken ritual, in the same vein as Mo forgetting to ask for his name.
The question was always at the forefront of his mind but the guy was hilarious and Mo became easily swept up in the conversation, usually not realizing he had again forgotten to ask until he arrived home that night.
This time the guy showed up with dumplings that keep Mo’s mouth occupied the majority of the conversation, as pickings were light in the free sample area. A few of the vendors had caught on to his scheme and conveniently weren’t handing out samples when he came by.
“Can you believe that last kid spat up on me? I’m never having kids,” Santa declared shaking his head in disbelief.
“Yeah sucks to be you,” Mo chewed thoughtfully. They were quiet for a bit.. “Hey,” Mo started “This is kind of random but what’s your name? I didn’t catch it the first time we talked.”
Santa paused, swallowed. “It’s uh Li Jie,” he said slowly.
“Oh.” Unfamiliar. “I guess I don’t know you after all, I know pretty much everyone at school.”
“I tend to blend with the crowd,” he shrugged, eyes focused on the waning dumplings.
“That’s cool,” Mo said, popping another piece into his mouth. “Me too.”
The week ended and casually spilled into the next. Mo had gotten used to the ebb and flow of the volunteer job, and could proudly say his photography skills had improved considerably. Li Jie and he were becoming good friends but there was something off about never actually having seen the guy out of costume, which Mo joked about. Actors like Li Jie, along with a few others who played Santa’s elves had to get dressed in the mall restroom or come already in garb. Li Jie had a habit of disappearing by the time Mo had finished packing up the camera equipment for the night. He had even invited the guy over for dinner one day but Li Jie had politely declined claiming he was behind on his schoolwork. Understandable, given the fact that they spent three hours after school at the workshop. He had promised to come by once the job ended, a week after Mo’s punishment. Mo had even vented to him about his struggles in finding his mother the perfect Christmas gift, asking him what he should get her.
“You know your mom best,” he had said. “I’m sure she’ll appreciate any gift you give her. Just remember it’s not about the price but the meaning behind it. If the effort comes from a good place, which I know it does, she’ll love it.”
It had brightened his mood at the time but he still wasn’t sure what to get her.
As much as Mo thought he understood life and might even be one step ahead, it had a way of knocking him back ten feet when he least expected it.
“10-4, we gotta brat,” Jian Yi muttered off to his left, pretending to be occupied with adjusting decorations on the set’s Christmas tree.
Mo twisted on his stool, turned his attention to the line, eyes widening as he watched a mother wrangle her screaming daughter into her arms and walk up to Santa’s chair. The girl had a handful of her Mother’s hair and was yelling for all she was worth, limbs flailing.
“Man,” Zhan whispered, “my sister was bad but never like this. “I hope this guy can handle her.”
Mo watched for a reaction from said Santa but it was hard to gauge anything given how much of his face the beard obscured.
The mother looked embarrassed and nervous as she handed the screaming child over to Santa. Mo had to give it to him, the guy was composed, bouncing the girl on his knee, cooing to her, easily calming the crocodile tears. The mother beamed at the turn of events, whipping out her phone to snap a few tear-streaked pictures.
Mo relaxed, relieved to see the situation easily diffused, his heart bloomed a bit in pride for his friend, which he quelled, brain cycling through the mental gymnastics of why he doesn’t actually really care.
Mo had to give it to the guy, he was really good, he watched as Santa leaned in, beard tickling the little girl in his lap, she giggled in response. At this point the lines were rehearsed and Mo could imagine him asking her what she wanted for Christmas. She pondered, tiny face scrunched up in clearly serious thought, then suddenly a tiny fist shot out and she yanked his bread down around his chin.
Mo was on his feet instantly, because no, no way, this couldn’t be happening.
“Ah shit,” he heard Zhan mutter off to his left.
Mo turned on him.
“You knew,” his voice cracked. Zhan looked pained.
“10-4 He Tian is fucking Santa!” Jian Yi whispered loudly behind them. “He’s fucking Santa, are you guys seeing this!”
“Who’s fucking Santa?” another student offered with a snicker.
“Guan Shan..” Zhan said, but Mo doesn’t want to hear it. He felt nauseous and too hot, his hands shaking, felt like couldn’t breathe as if all the air had been sucked out of the space. Mo bolted because fuck this, he would rather have suspension. He can’t believe how stupid he was, how oblivious he’d been, everyone must have known but him. What a fool.
Sorry not sorry to leave y’all on a cliff hanger but part two will come out on Day 5, so if you enjoyed this stay tuned, resolution come soon ;D
As always thanks for reading, your comments & tags give me life x

19 Days Omegaverse Chapter 2
Chapters: 1 2 3 4 5 6
The pair sat down at the vacated spot under the tree and finished their lunch, chatting amiably, though Jian Yi did most of the talking. When they headed back to class, they sat through with preoccupied thoughts. One with excitement for being able to hang out at his best friend’s house after school, and the other pondering what the other wanted him to see in that scene at the tree.
Jian Yi couldn’t imagine being anything other than an omega, although it was no big secret, at least to him, that his parents thought otherwise. He never saw his father, and rarely saw his mother, so it never felt like that big a deal. And it helped that he’s always had Zhan Zheng Xi there to protect him and keep him company.
He did not like being around other alphas very much, he found their scents and demeanor to be far too intimidating for him, He Tian was initially one of the more overbearing ones. Although since the two began to play basketball together, he could at least stand him for a bit longer than most. Zheng Xi on the other hand, despite being a rather intense alpha himself, was someone Jian Yi couldn’t imagine not having by his side.
“Zhan Xixi~ why were you late today?”
“Hm, my sister wasn’t feeling well so I ran out to get her medicine this morning”
“Wow Xixi is so caring~”
“Want me to punch you?”
“Nope”
Yes, Zheng Xi is Jian Yi’s knight in shining armor. But in all honesty, there is no one he would trust more with his life than this alpha. Ever since they were kids Zhan Zheng Xi has stood firmly by his side, befriending him when no one else would. He was there for him when he first presented and their peers teased him for being an omega. It wasn’t as though a male omega was that unheard of, but males were typically viewed as having the role of the masculine alpha. Not to mention he had his own insecurities what with the disapproval of his parents.
He isn’t sure when he first started to develop feelings that went beyond friendship for the alpha, but he would like to think it was more than just his omega hormones that lead to the attraction. Unfortunately he knew that the chances of his feelings being reciprocated right now are pretty slim, for all intents and purposes they’re just very close childhood friends. Zhan Zheng Xi is blissfully oblivious to Jian Yi’s advances, the fact that he only acts this touchy feely with him and no one else; the only person he would dare seek comfort from.
“Whatever, let’s get to class before we’re late” Zhan Zheng Xi said as he started walking into the school.
“Hey, want to get ramen after school?” Jian Yi asked excitedly, skipping along after him.
“I told you my sister is sick”
“So? Your mom can take care of her, you already got her medicine”
“…I have homework”
“So do I, let’s do it together~”
“…Fine, wanna just come over” he finally relented with a sigh. He was finding it harder and harder to say no to this guy.
“Yay~” Jian Yi cheered as he latched on to his friend’s back, burying his face in his neck to inhale his addicting scent while Zheng Xi wouldn’t notice.
“Gah!! Get off Jian Yi!” Zhan Zheng Xi shoved him off, his eyes wide and startled, “You shouldn’t cling to people like that”
“Why not? I’m just getting my scent mark, remember” Jian Yi looked at his friend innocently.
Zheng Xi sighed, then let the omega continue. It was his own idea originally, Jian Yi always managed to attract troublesome alpha’s and this just made things easier for the both of them. At least that’s what Zheng Xi tells himself.
“You done yet?”
Jian Yi finally pulled back, “Yeah, I’m good” he replied with a pleased smile.
The alpha felt his heart skip a beat at the smile, with a final frown in the omega’s direction he started walking into the building, Jian Yi followed close behind with a self satisfied smile.
They had most of their classes together, Jian Yi poking Zheng Xi’s head every few minutes, much to the latter’s annoyance. Although Jian Yi was a good student he found it hard to concentrate whenever his friend was there, today especially. He brushed it off as him looking particularly good today or something… then again he does get like this before his heat, but he never keeps track of it, and so far he has never gotten it during school. He has no trouble relying on luck, and he figured it was probably not due now.
Since the weather was particularly agreeable that day, they decided to spend lunch outside. They were passing through the courtyard when they spotted a hard to miss black haired alpha harassing an irate redhead.
“Hey, isn’t that your friend He Tian” Zhan Zheng Xi gestured to the pair, who were currently attracting a lot of mildly concerned stares. But no one dared approach them, seeing as both had their own reputation to warrant the caution.
“Huh…oh yeah it is” Jian Yi made to walk towards them, but Zhengxi grabbed his collar before he could get away.
“Wait…he seems kinda busy right now”, he could sense the tension between the two, even from this far away, also noting how the other students were unconsciously leaving a wide girth around their tree.
“Oh that redhead, I think I’ve seen them together before. I’m pretty sure his name is Mo Guan Shan”
“…They don’t seem to be very friendly with each other”
Jian Yi turned to look at his friend, who was scrutinizing the display.
“Really? I think they seem VERY friendly” he replied suggestively, with a certain glint in his bright eyes.
“What are you talking about?”
“Didn’t you know? That redhead is an omega”
“Yeah? What does that have to do with it?”
Jian Yi sighed, so much for that, “Nothing….nevermind”
“Okay….we should hurry up and eat before class starts”
“Alright~”
At this point He Tian already went back inside the school and the redhead seemed to be lamenting the loss of his sandwich, which was now lying inedible on the ground. Jian Yi lead the way towards the tree, Zheng Xi given no choice but to follow, feeling a little better now knowing that the other guy was an omega.
“Hi, my name is Jian Yi, I’m a friend of He Tian, and this is Zhan Zheng Xi” he introduced himself with an outstretched hand and a thousand watt smile.
Mo Guan Shan flinched at the offered hand, wary of any person who associated themselves with that dangerous alpha. Not even finding comfort in the fact that this guy seemed to be an omega like himself. “What the hell do you want?”
“I just thought you seemed lonely and wanted to sit with you” Jian Yi declared while smoothy dropping the rejected hand.
“Well I’m not, so mind your own business”
“Did you have a fight with He Tian or something?” Zheng Xi butt in, a little irked with the rude attitude directed at his friend.
Guan Shan unabashedly turned a glare to the alpha, finding a little satisfaction in the realization that he had a few centimeters on him.
“What’s it to ya, it doesn’t have anything to do with you anyways” he replied harshly. He hunched his shoulders and shoved past the two before they could reply. Making sure to throw out the soiled sandwich on the way.
“Seems like a nice guy” Jian Yi commented once the grumpy omega was out of earshot.
“He smells like an omega, but he doesn’t exactly act like one”
“You probably scared him off”
“…Maybe I shouldn’t have asked him that question” he mumbled to himself, finding himself bothered by the whole situation for some reason.
The pair sat down at the vacated spot under the tree and finished their lunch, chatting amiably, though Jian Yi did most of the talking. When they headed back to class, they sat through with preoccupied thoughts. One with excitement for being able to hang out at his best friend's house after school, and the other pondering what the other wanted him to see in that scene at the tree.
