5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

Ohhhhh buddy we are in for a fun time. I make character playlists all the time.

Deryn - Go by Cody Fry it's just a fun song about wanting to go on adventures with the person you love. And also the song is much more fun if you imagine Deryn is mortified to be admitting any of this out loud.

Alek - Heirloom by Sleeping at Last "you remind me of who I could have been / had I been stronger and braver way back then / a million choices, so little on their own / become the heirloom of the heaviness you've known / you are so much more than your father's son / you are so much more than the wars you've won" are you KIDDING ME

Lockwood & Co. - Youth by Daughter not a character but these two are inextricably linked for me, I helped edit an AMV for someone based on that song and it's never left my brain. Kseniya - Dutch by Dessa the vibes are impeccable, as they should be since I specifically based her personality on the vibes of this song. A very tough, highly intelligent lady who deliberately distances herself from affection? Amazing.

Mina - Black Hole Fantasy by The Crane Wives There's just a lot in this song that fits, like trying to ignore the ache in your chest that wants something even if you don't know what it is; but lately I've been thinking about how she was promised so much happiness and success and got exactly none of it. So "a version of me with a spark in her eyes / that I don't have / and now she's laughing / and it's killing me that I cannot see what's making her laugh" feels particularly apt.

Ethan - don't worry, you will by lovelytheband one of my favorite things about Ethan's character is I consistently rolled like shit when I played him and he got really insecure about it (even though most people didn't think he was a complete fuck-up). This song is great because it's the same kind of music I think he would listen to AND it pinpoints that flavor of insecurity so so so well.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

I'm gonna exclude my fics on ao3 from this, mostly because I don't think they have any particularly intense or stellar worldbuilding. So, for this question, I'd say it's a tie between my grishaverse au and my bootlegger au here on tumblr. I like putting the characters into really fun, established settings, and I think I've done it best here!

8. What song would make a great fic (to either write or read)?

It's so funny that you ask that because I was just listening to some of my older playlists yesterday and am having Thoughts (tm). I listened to "don't worry, you will" by lovelytheband, and I can so see a Steddie (or Ronance, or really most of the ST ships) fic based off it. Using Steddie as an example, I can see it from both of their perspectives. I can see them both being worried that the other will leave, whether it's because of Eddie's fears of being too much or Steve's past rejection. I'm not sure if I'll write it (and if anyone likes this idea, please take it! It's up for grabs! I want to see this fic written!) but the thoughts are there!

23. What’s a trope, AU, or concept you’ve never written, but would like to?

Oh there's so much! Off the top of my head: hate sex that eventually turns into not-so hate sex. I've had a line of dialogue ("I don't date, but I'll fuck you if you ask nicely") as well as a line of narration (The thing about hate sex is that the sex only seems better because the aftercare is worse.) floating in my head, as well as a vague idea of hopeless romantic Steve guarding his heart very well after everything goes to hell. Enter Eddie, who hates jocks and who Steve finds annoying, and then begin the hate sex that becomes less hateful as time goes on. Again, I don't know if I'll write this one (it's up for grabs! Write it if you like it!) but I'm definitely having thoughts!

When I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE by Måneskin comes on, he'll slide his hands up your back, trailing his sharp nails down to leave light red streaks. He'll roll over to put you underneath him, pressing his chest to yours and holding you close as he picks up his speed. He takes pride in your gasps and mewls of surprise and delight. He'll take your arms and make you wrap them around his neck, kissing you deep and letting his hands travel down to your knees so he can push up your legs. He always chuckles at the squeaks you make when he suddenly hits so deep. He won't kiss you for long, sadly, and he instead starts nibbling and licking your neck so he can hear your noises. He narrows in on calling you things like his spouse, staking claim over you. He says such sweet things with the nastiest grin.

Whipped Cream by Ludo kinda makes him feral, not gonna lie. He will straight up throw you in a mating press and not stop until you're sobbing. Bonus points if the lighting is dim, because you'll get to see his satisfied grin and glowing eyes looking down at you, admiring you. He mocks you for losing your mind.

"Yeah? Yeah, is that good? What is it, peaches? I won't know if you don't tell me..~"

Same thing with Kiss Me You Animal by Burn the Ballroom. Pray he never catches you vibing to it, let only singing to it. Especially that, "You say you wanna tear right through me, I welcome you to try," part. You won't be walking. Or leaving for a while, because he might need to breed you over a few days, honestly. You will be dumb by the time he is done with you.

You'll probably end up going home soon because of the insatiable bastard.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- He will absolutely destroy you to Hellbent by Mystery Skulls. On your sides, him behind you, he'll be holding up one of your legs as he takes you. His other hand will be in your hair, so he can hold your head back and force you to let it your sweet sounds for him. Backhanded praise.

Love Me Dead by Ludo. Every time he hears it all he can think about is ravaging you. He wants to lay you down and pick you apart piece by piece. His head between your legs, his hands and fingers leaving bruises on your skin. Let him destroy you in the most delightful way. He wants to make you beg.

Hello! Thanks for the ask!

I talked quite a bit about the COW writing in another ask, which you can find HERE. (it's the second half of the ask.) Major TW for injury and death, specifically also child death. Also, gun violence and police negligence. So, please, please, please skip it if any of that is triggering to you. (Why I wrote something with all that dark shit in it for an 11th grade assignment, I have no idea. But also, I wrote a story about a human being experimented on by aliens and dying a gruesome death in 7th grade, and thoroughly enjoyed watching people get eaten during Jurassic Park at age 7, so... *shrugs*)

But back to your questions: PLAYLISTS!! Yes, I absolutely have playlists for both Kristopher and Fallon from ATQH, as well as one for their relationship, and yes, of course I will share songs from them!!

Playlist rambles under the cut, cause I talk a lot about music.

Kristopher:

Kristopher's playlist is kind of a depressing one, but it's fitting with his past.

This song fits Kristopher to a T. It's the first song on his playlist for a reason, and I call it his theme song. Fallon is falling in love with him, and yet, the entire time, Kristopher is convinced that at any moment she'll laugh in his face and leave him. No matter how much she shows her love for him, he convinces himself that she will find a reason to hate him.

Half A Man - Dean Lewis

For the same reasons as above, basically. Kristopher hates himself, and he's worried that being around him will make things worse for Fallon. The sad thing is that he's not entirely wrong. Anvia and Oryn already have iffy relations, and Fallon marrying an Orynian Prince, especially one with such a bad reputation isn't going to make things better. People in Oryn are thinking "why the hell would she want him? He's useless." and people in Anvia are thinking "we all know what happened last time."

Fallon:

Fallon's playlist is shorter than Kristopher's, because it's a lot easier to find depressing songs about hating yourself, or songs about being in love, than it is to find songs that fit Fallon's strange life.

Ya'aburnee - Halsey

If "don't worry, you will" is Kristopher's theme song, this is Fallon's theme song. The title translates to "[you] bury me" or "be the thing that buries me" in Arabic, and stands for the hope that you die before your loved one(s) (usually partner or child), so you don't have to see them suffer. And if that doesn't scream Fallon, I don't know what to tell you. Fallon already had to life through her mother's death, her father's betrayal, and later Lavinia. She doesn't want to lose more people she cares about, and losing Kristopher (or her eventual child) might just break her completely.

If You Could See Me Now - The Script

Another song that screams Fallon. The whole song is about losing a parent and hoping that they're proud of what you've done since they died. Hoping that they're proud of you as a person. Fallon is Queen not just because it's her duty, but because it's her only connection she has left to her mother. And she's constantly hoping that she doesn't fuck it up, that she's doing stuff her mother and grandmothers can be proud of her for.

Their Relationship:

I'm not gonna link the playlist for this one, cause it needs some major revisions, but maybe some day.

Flaws - Bastille (you knew I had to put one Bastille song on here, right?)

This song is so very much Kristopher and Fallon. The chorus goes "You have always worn you flaws upon your sleeve. And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground." That's them exactly. Kristopher shows his flaws so much, and is reminded of them so often, that they're all people see of him, and sometimes all he sees of himself. Fallon is so desperate to act like she's fine, and everything's fine that she refuses to admit she has flaws or is struggling. Also the lines in the first verse: "Ones we've inherited, ones that we've learned". <333

STAY - The Kid LAROI + Justin Bieber (forgive me, I have sinned)

I'm sorry. So sorry. But almost every single line in this song fits one or both of them. Literally almost every single line. It's just so perfect.

Future Holds - Bastille, BIM

This is them at the end of the story. "Who knows what the future holds. Don't matter if I've got you." They aren't going to have an easy life ahead of them, but they have each other, and hopefully that will be enough.

I know I've answered this before, but I'm getting happier and happier with my writing for some future scenes, and I think my editing is getting better. (Not that I've had a chance to apply either to RTQ in sims form lately, but...)

I'm gonna do this one for Kris, because you were the one who asked, and I happen to have a perfect song for him, even if it's a sad one.

24. are there any characters who remind you of yourself?

I answered this before and said no, but honestly I have to say that there are some vague parallels between me and Fallon. As we will later see, she tends to hide her strongest emotions, just kind of bottling them up until she can't anymore, and that's definitely something I do as well. Also, I feel like Fallon is (or at least could be if things had worked out a little differently in her past) like me in the sense that while she's slow to trust people, once she does, she's loyal to the end. (Loyalty is my "fatal flaw" and I feel like Fallon could be the same.)

31. drop some random trivia about your story

The whole story is going to span from the end of May to May of the next year. Act 1 is May-June, Act 2 is July-October/November, Act 3 is November-February, Act 4 is February/March, and Act 5 is April/May. Weirdly enough, Act 4 is the longest in terms of number of scenes I have a concept for so far.

BONUS TRIVIA: Every act (with the possible exception of Act 5) ends with a ball or other formal event.

so... a little context... i have three serirei playlists total... one focused on reigen, one focused on serizawa, and one focused on both of them together. so i'm gonna pull a song from each playlist !

a song about both of them: into the wild by lewis watson ! firstly i am so biased with this song in particular because i love lewis watson's music a lot... however that is not important <3 this song is about serizawa first realizing that things are different this time... when reigen offers his hand, its genuine... there is no ill intention behind his words... and this song is about reigen, allowing himself to let serizawa into his life, putting his trust in seri and his ability to be good. its about serizawa leaving his previous life behind, the one thats damaged him so deeply, and trusting in reigen to help him create a new life of comfort and safety. its about serizawa's path to recovery, and reigen being right there with him. its about reigen seeing the hurt and scarily powerful side of serizawa, and still finding the good & beauty in him. and reigen is right there to help seri through this, and affirm him that he's okay now, he's safe. this song is about embracing this new life together, hand in hand... no matter how rough the road gets.

a song from serizawa's pov: new religion by heydaze ... oh my god i am so obsessed with this song its SO GOOD 😭💛 this song is about serizawa coming to terms with domesticity and finding comfort in reigen, his newfound family, and life. he's experiencing life in new ways, and appreciating every moment, including the small ones that he was never able to acknowledge before... feeling safe for the first time in forever, embracing this second chance that [he feels] was only possible through reigen... finding "new religion," like finding new faith in himself... in his life... and in the one person he can trust.

a song from reigen's pov: don't worry, you will by lovelytheband ..... UGGHHH THIS SONG...... this song is about reigen having anxiety over his relationship with serizawa... this song makes me go so bonkers... especially the chorus like... look!

like. the dudes got issues. he may act confident and charismatic but i promise you he has low social self esteem... when its someone he cares about and wants to be close to, someone like serizawa, reigen cant trust himself to be anything good - he's a con-man, a fraud, and he's got flaws up to here. and he probably deep down feels like he's not good enough to be the person he knows serizawa deserves. but seri continues to love reigen for who he is, every single part of him. <33
