TOPON RLink X7 vs. VXDIAG VCX FD CAN FD

Similarities:
1.Both TOPDON and VXDIAG support CAN FD and DOIP protocols.
2.Both can be used as J2534 passthru interfaces for OEM programming.
3.Both are compatible with Toyota, Honda, Volvo, Subaru, Benz, BMW, Land rover, Porsche software. Other licenses are not ready.
4.Both support Win10, Win11 operating system.
5.Both support USB connection (type-C).
Differences:
1.Rlink X7 uses Rlink Platform driver, while VCX FD uses VX Manager driver.
2.TOPDON supports GM and VAG, but VXDIAG supports GM and Ford/Mazda now.
3.Rlink supports Chrysler software, VXDIAG VCX FD does not, but VXDIAG can support Renault and PSA software (coming soon).

TOPON RLink X7 Registration, Bind and Activation
If you have registered an account on the RLink X7 or other devices of TOPDON, you can directly log in.
If you don’t have a TOPDON account, you need to register one.

Input the personal info to complete the registration as follows:
Available email address+ verification code (get from your email) + password
Read the User Agreement and Privacy Policy carefully and tick the Accept box
Click SIGN UP

3.Bind and activate Rlink X7 J2534
Log into the RLink Platform with the account and password you registered
Connect the Rlink J2534 to a PC via the USB type C port.
Then the device information will appear on the screen.
You can check the device serial number, version information, and upgrade the firmware.

A PSA ABOUT GLOVES
Ok some of my coworkers and some of the customers I see coming in are now wearing latex gloves all the time, I’ve even had customers ask me why I’m not wearing gloves or call me brave for not wearing gloves, and I just wanna let you guys know, wearing gloves doesn’t really do a whole lot for preventing disease transmission in these types of environments. I was taught this when I worked in food service.
Wearing gloves doesn’t prevent you from contaminating anything, it’s not like germs magically die when they touch your gloves. You are going to come in and touch a door then your keys then your wallet then your purse and you are going to spread the germs on your gloves onto all these surfaces, just like your hands would have anyways. You’re still going to leave germs on other surfaces for other people to touch. Your gloved hands aren’t magically clean. And wearing gloves gives people a sense of false security and causes people to wash their hands less often. In addition, unless you’re putting the gloves onto sanitized hands, you’re making a warm moist barrier around your hands for whatever germs are on there to grow even better than they would have before. In food service we were told please don’t wear gloves, it makes you forget when your hands are dirty, and you contaminate everything even more.
WASHING YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY is the best way to stop yourself from spreading germs to other people, and to prevent yourself from catching germs. In all the recommendations for cleaning and sanitation guidelines I have read, nowhere have I seen it recommended that you wear gloves. It’s like the face masks. It doesn’t actually provide the protection that you think it is.

First Order PSA: Stop Looking for Eggs
It has come to my attention that someone posted on social media that the plans for Starkiller Base II are hidden in a small plastic egg somewhere in this fleet. I can assure you that this announcement is unofficial and false. IF such plans did exist, I certainly would not store them in an egg. Eggs have very little security measures in place.
So please, stop ransacking the ship looking for this egg.  That is an order to FO personnel and Rebel Scum alike. There are no eggs to be found anywhere except the convenience store. Egg Hunts have been banned on Star Destroyers ever since a technician “accidentally” pressed a self-destruct button and nearly blew up the Finalizer while trying to hide an egg full of candy.

PNP personnel to assist national ID registration
#PHnews: PNP personnel to assist national ID registration
MANILA – Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Camilo Cascolan has ordered all police commanders to help secure the National ID System registration that will start in 32 provinces on Oct. 12, the Joint Task Force Covid Shield said on Sunday.
“Police personnel on the ground should not only ensure the security of those hired by the government to collect data but also to make sure that the minimum health safety standard protocols are properly observed during the entire process of data-gathering,” JTF Covid Shield commander Lt. Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar said in a statement.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) targets to conduct the registration under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), initially in 32 provinces that are considered low-risk areas for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The National ID System was signed into law in 2018 and was aimed at providing each Filipino a unique number and an ID card to make it easier for Filipinos, particularly the poor, to have access to the banking system and other services.
Eleazar said police commanders were ordered to start coordinating with both the PSA and the local government units, where the interview and data-gathering would be held, in order to come up with security and health safety procedures for the entire registration process.
He said the participation of the police in the national ID registration is essential in securing both the enumerators/supervisors who were hired to conduct house-to-house visit and the residents they would visit.
Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, meanwhile, said appropriate measures have been established to prevent possible Covid-19 transmission during the PhilSys registration activity.
“We will deploy additional PNP and barangay officials and volunteers to enforce the safeguards and minimum health standards,” Año said in a message sent to the Philippine News Agency.
The PSA has hired at least 5,000 personnel to interview and collect data from the target households in 32 provinces.
The data-gathering is just the first of the three-part process -- the other two are the visit of people to the designated centers for the biometrics, and the last process would be the issuance of the national ID.
The first wave of the registration would be in Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, Isabela, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Tarlac, Bulacan, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna and Quezon.
Also included are Camarines Sur, Albay, Masbate, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, Compostela Valley and Tawi-Tawi.
The registration for Metro Manila residents and other areas will start next year.
In April, President Rodrigo Duterte directed the National Economic and Development Authority to hasten the implementation of PhilSys.
The ID will contain the PhilSys number, full name, facial image, sex, date of birth, blood type, and address of the concerned individual.
The PSA aims to register an estimated 5 million low-income Filipinos by the end of the year and about 92 million by June 2022. (PNA)

ALLETE Clean Energy's Diamond Spring Wind Project Will Provide Renewable Energy to Large Corporate Customers Including Smithfield Foods and Walmart
ALLETE Clean Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of ALLETE (NYSE: ALE), announced today a power sales agreement with Smithfield Foods, Inc. for the remaining output of the Diamond Spring wind site ALLETE Clean Energy will build, own and operate in Oklahoma.
The Smithfield agreement follows an earlier announcement of power sale agreements with two large Fortune 500 companies, Walmart and Starbucks. Walmart has agreed to purchase 175 megawatts for 15 years, Smithfield will purchase 75 megawatts for 12 years, and Starbucks will purchase 50 megawatts for 15 years. The approximately 300-megawatt Diamond Spring site, which is ALLETE Clean Energy’s first project to sell wind power to corporate customers, is now fully contracted with the Smithfield agreement.
“ALLETE Clean Energy is proud to help these leading companies meet their greenhouse gas reduction and renewable energy goals through the carbon-free energy that will be generated at Diamond Spring,” said ALLETE Clean Energy President Allan S. Diamond Spring will be ALLETE Clean Energy’s largest wind site when operations begin in 2020. ALLETE Clean Energy will begin construction late this year or in early 2020. Diamond Spring will produce enough power for 114,000 homes, and increase the company’s total wind capacity to more than 1,000 megawatts at nine sites in seven states.
ALLETE Clean Energy purchased a 100 percent interest in the Diamond Spring wind site from the project’s developer, Apex Clean Energy. The purchase included negotiated power sales agreements with Walmart, Starbucks and Smithfield.
Corporate and industrial customers represent a growing market for independent power producers as companies embrace sustainability goals.
Smithfield, a $15 billion global food company and the world’s largest hog producer and pork processor, announced a goal in 2016 to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 25 percent by 2025. To help reach that goal, the company created Smithfield Renewables, a platform that unifies and accelerates the company’s carbon reduction and renewable energy efforts.
“This partnership to source renewable energy is part of our multifaceted and comprehensive approach to reduce our carbon footprint,” said Kraig Westerbeek, senior director of Smithfield Renewables and hog production environmental affairs at Smithfield. “The carbon-free energy generated through the Diamond Spring project is projected to account for more than 15 percent of our total energy usage across the United States, allowing us to power a substantial portion of our operations using sustainable energy.”

MANILA – The pre-registration for the implementation of the country's national ID system would be rolled out in 32 provinces on October 7, an official of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Friday.
The 32 provinces are Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Cagayan, Isabela, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, Albay, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Compostela Valley, Davao Del Norte, Davao Del Sur, Davao Occidental, and Tawi-Tawi.
“Itong 32 provinces muna na ito, karamihan dito mababa ang covid cases at walang Metro Manila dito, wala yung mga high risk (areas). 'Yung iba, for next year na pag na-control na talaga natin itong Covid-19. Ayaw natin madaliin because of the Covid-19 so gumawa tayo ng sistema para makapagsimula na ng proseso. (These 32 provinces have a low number of Covid-19 cases. We don't have Metro Manila, we don't have other high-risk areas. The other areas are set for next year once we have controlled the Covid-19 situation. We don't want to rush, we just came up with a system where we can start the process),” Interior Undersecretary and spokesperson Jonathan Malaya told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) in a phone interview.
He noted these provinces have already coordinated with the Philippine Statistics Authority as well as with the DILG regional offices regarding the matter.
Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, meanwhile, said that appropriate measures have been established to prevent possible Covid-19 transmission during the activity, noting that most of these provinces are under MGCQ already.
“We will deploy additional PNP and barangay officials and volunteers to enforce the safeguards and minimum health standards,” Año said in a message sent to PNA.
Malaya, meanwhile, also said the PSA has requested the DILG “for assistance in securing a memorandum of agreement with various local government agencies".
Malaya noted the MOA will ensure that the LGUs will provide the PSA with the necessary assistance with regards to “pre-registration, the manpower requirement, in terms of transportation, in terms of crowd control as well as other logistical support".
“Instead of direct registration, our approach is pre-registration. Ang ibig sabihin ng pre-registration magbabahay-bahay si PSA, 'yung mga enumerators nila tapos kukunin 'yung basic data tungkol dun sa mga tao yung kasarian, yung pangalan. (This means PSA would go door-to-door for this. Their enumerators would collect basic data such as gender and names). There would be a schedule for the collection of other data which would be done at the municipal hall or government office identified by the local government units. There will be no queues,” he said.
Malaya said with this scheme, the number of people who would have their basic data collected at a given time would be limited to ensure physical distancing.
Malaya emphasized that the national ID system aims to harmonize, integrate and interconnect the countless and redundant government IDs with the creation of a single national identification system.
The ID will contain the Philippine identification system (PhilSys) number, full name, facial image, sex, date of birth, blood type, and address of the concerned individual.
In April, President Rodrigo Duterte directed the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) to hasten the implementation of PhilSys.
The PSA, an attached agency of NEDA, which is the implementing agency of the national ID system under Republic Act 11055 or the Philippine Identification System Act, expects to begin mass registration in October, with the aim of registering an estimated five million low-income Filipinos by the end of the year. (PNA)
