I love the idea (Hc? I don’t actually remember where I saw it or if it’s canon or something) that animagi adopt/display some behaviors/traits of their animagus form. Just because like it’s part of them, so why not part of all of them?

So, James, stag animagus- sometimes he just happens to catch a bright light or two, and gets a little dazed. Because of how deer do, sometimes? Get stuck in headlights and such.

So Remus starts to notice, and is a little confused on why James is staring at Sirius just just a little more than usual. He’d nudge his friend, and whisper; “Prongs, snap out of it. You’re s’posed to be studying, why’re you just staring at pads?”

And James would snap out of it, of course- go back to reading whatever the hell he was reading- though not before mumbling,

“He doesn’t even know how bright he shines.”

James thinks it’s very unfair.
