On another half-baked espionage assignment for Secret Squirrel and Morocco Mole

[Mise en scene: The liquor section of some airport duty-free shop, where Morocco Mole finds something unusual among brandies--a water-clear such] MOROCCO MOLE, ever the fascinated one when it comes to the old exotic booze: Uh ... I always thought brandy was supposed to be a sort of tawny brown, but for some reason, this South African brandy is water-clear. Makes you wonder whether such would taste different.... SECRET SQUIRREL, looking at the bottle: You mean this Paarl Rock brandy? Morocco, I thought apartheid made South African wine rather unfashionable, but with apartheid's collapse, I have to wonder how a Wisconsin-type Old Fashioned might taste with Paarl Rock, to begin with. MOROCCO MOLE: And I wonder if the angels must be sighing at the sight and taste of such clear brandy, to be exact. Remember Crystal Pepsi? SECRET SQUIRREL: Correct me if I'm wrong, but yes, Morocco, I do recall Crystal Pepsi. [Pause] And isn't it true that Paarl is close to Cape Town?

Chao: *sees me looking at a device called a Portal Pad with a worried expression on my face* Hey, Davis?

Davis (in Scorpi's body): What, huh? Oh, sorry about that, Chao. I'm just concerned about what is going on in the main studio.

Chao: Huh?

*she looks over and sees that not only have the hosts gone missing, but Secret Squirrel (aside from his head) is stuck in the set-piece of a scary tree*

Chao: Oh dear... where is everyone?

*cut to Secret Squirrel*

Secret Squirrel: *sigh* I really hope the Chief is sending someone to get me out of this mess.

*tries to push himself out, but his head appears to be attached to the tree*

Secret Squirrel: Gh! O-Ow, ow...! Ugh, I can't even see my gadgets or my coat from here!

(TRANSITION)

Meanwhile...

(TRANSITION)

*Penny the Squirrel and Morocco Mole are both notified of Secret's predicament via a printed report being sent to both; while Morocco is notified off-screen, Penny is shown reading the report*

*her internal monologue is played to the audience*

Penny (internally): "Attention agents, it has come to my attention that Secret Squirrel may be in trouble. He was sent over to the Fridays building on 107 Acme St. to investigate a series of paranormal occurrences throughout the evening. However, around 10:29pm EST, we completely lost contact with him, as he hasn't responded since then. I have assigned you and Morocco to find out what happened to Secret. - Sincerely, Chief"

*Morocco Mole suddenly enters Penny's office, accidentally startling her*

Morocco Mole: Penny, Secret is in trouble!!!

Penny: Morocco, don't scare me like that! I-I was sent a report, too.

Morocco Mole: Oh, got it.

Penny: *grabs some gear that might be useful, just in case there actually is something paranormal going on* Look, I know I don't work with you as much as Secret does, but I'm gonna need you to try to not freak out when we get there. I mean, if there are any ghosts there, we're gonna need to not let them know of our presence.

Morocco Mole: You got it! *thumbs up* And we should probably put some extra clothing on. I've heard that the presence of ghosts makes things colder.

Penny: Alright, let's get going...

(TRANSITION)

Crunchee: Now back to more of our brand new Wii Sports Resort, right here on Fridays.

(hey guys, IRL Davis here)

(sorry if Penny and Morocco are written out of character, I'm not great at this kind of stuff)

(just so you know, the Portal Pad is a device I use to view what's going on in the Cartoon World when I'm in the Mixels dimension (and vice-versa))

(this is actually how I'm able to transport myself into the Mixels dimension and into Scorpi's body)

(still not sure why it sends me into someone else's body, but I'm sure he didn't mind)

(okay, onto the CNF show itself)

(this week, the Fridays cast decided to bring in furniture and props from a haunted house)

(since they were obviously haunted, the ghost haunting them decided to screw with them by trapping the hosts and audience in the paintings that were taken from the haunted house, as well as the studio's other set pieces)

(Secret Squirrel was sent in to figure out what happened)

(however, during his investigation, he was caught snooping around, and the ghost trapped him in one of the studio's set pieces)

(as such, Penny and Morocco Mole were sent in to find out what was going on)

(soon enough, the ghost turned things back to normal (except for Secret Squirrel, whose head was still attached to the tree, so he had to be freed by taking the set piece apart))

(it should be noted that his head wasn't stitched up, rather it was merged with the tree; unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to correctly draw his head being merged)

(as for the schedule, we presented Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure, as well as the series finale of Mixels: The Golden Cure)

(what replaced it the following week?)

EDIT: (forgot to mention that all of the Cartoon World footage was from the day before; the crew were pre-recording that week's segments, since Tara was going to be in Layton, UT on October 18th for Anime Banzai 2019)

SECRET SQUIRREL, explaining things precisely to Morocco Mole, his sidekick and confidant: If I may be clear about it, Morocco, "country liquor" is a local term, and a very ironic such at that! MOROCCO MOLE: How ironic, Secret Squirrel, is "country liquor"? SECRET SQUIRREL: Morocco, such may call to mind American hillbilly moonshine or Irish poteen; in these parts, however, "country liquor" will sometimes use labels similar to recognised international brands of high-end exotic booze, but with deliberate manipulation to avoid the possibility of a copyright-infringement claim, as if the use of methyl alcohol and other weird and unwholesome ingredients wasn't bad enow! MOROCCO MOLE: So what exactly is the problem with this methyl alcohol? SECRET SQUIRREL: For one, Morocco, methyl alcohol, alias "meth" or "denatured alcohol," is derived from the wastes of papermaking; and for another, it's dyed blue to serve as a warning against human consumption! MOROCCO MOLE: And yet you wonder how exactly humans still fall for such "exotic booze", unaware that such is bound to blind or kill them in the end....
