I've been out of the MCU for a few years now but came back to Secret Invasion for Talos and the Espionage Husbands (a very happy surprise for me because after Captain Marvel I wasn't sure if I'd get anymore content of them). God the writing is crusty and moreso it's disappointing asf. They really breadcrumbed Ben Mendelsohn/Talos in the MCU for years only to kill the character off in the most anticlimactic way in a shitty little show. The MCU just LOVES to disrespect actors and comic storylines huh.

but because chloe bennet has forcefully shut down these rumors so many times, I’m still so hesitant about considering it as a real possibility. and yeah, I know that’s what the marvel actors are expected to do and that could all be false, but it still makes me nervous to really hope too much.

on the other hand, if they’re going to introduce an aos character to the mcu, especially daisy, secret invasion is the perfect project to do that with. and after seeing agents of shield events referenced in fury’s recent bio on the marvel website, I’m willing to say my status is cautiously optimistic!

Nick married the wrong skrull, you know. I mean, in Episode 1 we got all that subtext three-way-marriage hints, only to learn that no Nick actually fell for another skrull and married her, but well ... Talos is the better spouse it seems (or one that takes abuse lighter, Nick does not make a good picture in the show all things considered with his just going away after the Blip without ever calling any one).

Anyway I am here for the Talos/Nick Fury Bromance (even though at this rate they are so going to kill either of those two of )...
