Happy new year, Seblainers ✨️ From me and Ail, we both wish you a year of fireworks and magic and love and happiness, just like the prompts for our Seblaine Christmas/ New Year's-Challenge (thank you to all that have already taken part).

Unfortunately, there is also some bad news Ail asked me to share since right before Christmas, her Mum passed away. Luckily, Ail could be with her until last and asked me to thank you for all the lovely and supportive messages during this difficult journey ❤️

It also means that I will keep taking care of this account for a bit more. I know from personal experience how mourning can feel like you have to put yourself back together piece by piece - so while Ail takes time to grieve and recover, let's show her our support by commenting a 🖤 here, shall we?

I still have two more stories lined up for the Seblaine Christmas/ New Year's-Challenge myself, so maybe those also bring you some joy - well, one of them is Hurt/ Comfort, so maybe just one of them 🙈 The other one is perfect for a good cry, though? i thought it was about time i post a little introduction, share some things about me, and maybe keep a record of my wips and current fics in a somewhat organized way? my ao3 is getting a bit out of hand...

so hello! my name is maddie! pronouns are she/her and i'm currently 23 years old <3 you will see me yap A LOT about glee, formula 1, harry potter (the marauders specifically), baseball, and maybe some other things from time to time...i love to complain and analyze media by shouting into the void about shows from 20 years ago. i'm also a feral swiftie and read copious amounts of fanfiction. my biggest special interests at the moment are seblaine & niff, which is the inspiration for all of my fics.

I need someone to write Glee AU where Pavarotti is alive. I mean, can you imagine the changes this little event could make? Like, Kurt wouldn't sing Blackbird dedicating it to Pav → Blaine wouldn't realise his feelings → Blaine wouldn't transfer to McKinley → Kurt would be more likely to get the role of Tony → Kurt would have more credits for his application and might get in NYADA for the fall semester etc. There's so many possibilities! Any ship could happen and all because little bird stayed alive 🤯

Klaine could still happen, but differently.

Kurt could move on from Blaine and become closer with other Warblers and/or Dalton students and maybe start dating someone else. This could also lead to Kurt staying at Dalton.

Kurt coming back to McKinley single, which opens a lot of opportunities for Hevans, Kurtofsky, Puckurt etc. (for each their own)

When in season 3, there's Kurtbastian and Chandler/Kurt - not necessary romantic relationships, but friendships as well. And Blaine might transfer to McKinley or stay at Dalton (there's also a possibility for Seblaine in the background - I'm not a fan, but for each their own). Kurt might be still in close contact with Warblers or they could go completely separate ways.

Blaine staying at Dalton makes it possible for Kurt to get the role of Tony and get more solos, which means he has bigger chances of being accepted in NYADA.

And then season 4, where if Kurt is single there's Kadam and it can start earlier. And Vogue could or could not happen in this timeline. As well as Kurt and Rachel living together and Santana joining them.

And then Kurt's band in season 5. Elliott and Dani could still be there, but their meetings might change. Kelliott is a possibility. Kurt might impress June this time or still not make her think he has a potential. He could meet Maggie and perform as Peter Pan or not.

And then the 6th season - it could become a completely different story!

I just had to share this thought because it was haunting me for months now 😅 I even made a list of some of the possible storylines up until the end of season 3. But I'm not a writer and so I'm sharing this so anyone could use the idea(s). Just, if someone gets inspired by this and writes something, please send me the link to the story! 💜

Fic Stats Game: One Shots

After the original Fic Stats Game was almost entirely multi-chaptered fics, @chromatic-lamina tagged me for a version for one shots!

Rules:

Give us the links to your one shot fics with the most hits, most kudos, most comments, most bookmarks, most words, and least words (does that count for one shots? Guess so).

Most Hits: "Ghosts That We Knew," a White Collar/Chuck crossover where Neal Caffrey and Bryce Larkin are the same person, with 5,858 hits. I wrote that in 2012, wow. Second place goes to "A Far Better Thing," a Seblaine one-shot from my Glee fandom days, with 3,886 hits.

Most Kudos: "Bent But Not Broken," a One Piece one-shot in which Luffy finds Law tending to his injuries after he escaped Hawkins with 479 kudos. Second place is "I Want Your Laughter (Like the Flower I Was Waiting For)", another One Piece fic with Luffy trying to make Law laugh more often and falling in love along the way. It has 451 kudos.

Most Comment Threads: "Aftermath," my first post-chapter 1081 fic, has 21 comment threads. Second place is "The Heart Is a Thing to Be Broken," in which the Straw Hats learn about the events of chapter 1081, with 17 comment threads.

Most Bookmarks: "Bent But Not Broken" is first with 120 bookmarks and "Ghosts That We Knew," is second with 109.

Most Words: "Let It Break," a Supernatural fic that takes place after episode 6.21 and whumps Sam pretty hard, has 7,435 words. Second place is "Where My Demons Hide," a Glee fic dealing with the dynamic between Blaine, Kurt, and Sebastian post-Klaine breakup, with 6,527 words.

Fewest Words: My shortest fic is “See,” a tag for Glee episode 6.01 with 290 words; second shortest is “The Point of a Submarine,” a One Piece prompt fic about the Polar Tang, with 362 words.

You Kissed My Flaws...& Made Them Perfect

In a world where every single person has a Soulmate bearing their identical Soulmark and is bound by law to pursue a life with their Soulmate once located, Sebastian and Blaine are gay as a rainbow men from very different countries, who have never met....yet.

Sebastian Smythe is a charming, devilishly handsome (and doesn't he know it!) 30 year-old commitment-phobe still living in his native Paris, where he is an LGBTQ+ Rights Lawyer. He is highly promiscuous, enjoys the finer things in life, especially very expensive Wines and Spirits and First Edition Science Fiction novels, comes from old and new money, and is a bit of a risk taker, to boot.

As far as his 'love life' goes, he pretty exclusively prefers hookups and shuns anything serious, to which end he has never sought out his Soulmate. He really doesn’t see the point, is 100% against people being forced into 'unnatural' liaisons with someone they have never met, just because they share some unremovable (believe me he has tried to remove it - many times!) permanent Body Art that's branded into their skin.. somewhere...on their bodies, and he is determined to challenge, then ultimately overthrow, the Law that decrees you will become bound to your Soulmate from the very second you locate them.

29 year-old jaded (hopeless!) romantic Blaine Anderson is an equally gorgeous (though with a much more dapper and sweet side) Broadway star who lives in Upper Manhattan, New York, and is currently playing Elder Cunningham in The Book Of Mormon. He has had a similarly privileged upbringing to Sebastian, albeit in the US, and is not in the best place in himself. when our story begins

He (spectacularly!) failed to find his Soulmate after a long, long, long and arduous quest to do so, then gave up on men completely after his Fiancé Kurt, with whom he shared a tumultuous, unequal and in truth pretty freaking toxic six year long relationship, finally broke off their engagement. His heart is bruised and battered, and his self-esteem is in tatters, after Kurt slowly but surely eroded the very essence of Blaine and dulled the shine of everything about him that made him so unique and so vibrant….

...then fucked Blaine's co-star and ran off into the sunset with him…

What will happen when (via Grindr - of course!) these two polar opposites discover they are intrinsically and irreversibly linked? Can twin flames bound by law to meet, then pursue a life together, no matter how much the Fates seem to be weighted against them, make a go of things without killing each other in the process? Can an arranged (by law!) relationship ultimately beat the odds and lead to a happy ever after?

Well..you're going to have to read their story to find that out, but rest assured it will not be short on drama, heartache, pining, Angst, laughter, happiness, many hilarious and absolutely NOT so hilarious misunderstandings, and of course…a great deal of good old fashioned…

…hot sex! Oh, yes, and romance and Love of course, too! 😏😉

The unexpected news is - this is actually going to be turned into a fic! Yes..despite still having been unable to update my three ongoing Longfics, due to my increased commitments, I sat down last night to write a short bio to accompany this graphic, and..it took on arms and legs. So yes. A fic it shall become. Either a One-Shot or at most four chapters, but definitely a fic. Soon... And now that I have managed to make time to write, I'm determined to update my other three fics by New Year's Eve!
