my experience is a funny one- i desire simplicity (one of the reasons why i am a Quaker) but i also desire ritual! i feel like i need simplicity to experience the clarity God gives me but i need regular ritual to incorporate it. not exactly sure where to turn for this, since silent worship makes up most of my prayers but it also isn't exactly enough for me to weave God into my daily life. i guess i could try going to one of the local non denominational churches here every once in a while instead of the local Quaker meeting, but i'm not exactly sure if that's acceptable... i just feel very conflicted, and like what i'm feeling isn't okay for me to feel, but i know it is. i just need time, faith, and clarity to work everything out.
