sebastian moran x sherlock holmes drabble
What does Moriarty want, Colonel?" the consulting detective snaps when Sebastian steps into view.
"Nothing, and you know I'm not a colonel anymore, Mr. Holmes."
Sherlock tilts his head. "Then why are you here?"
He's here because he's on vacation, of all things. We deserve a break, Jamie had said. We've been working so hard. Sebastian doesn't know why she bothered with the pretext. They both know the vacation has nothing to do with work and everything to do with Joan Watson having a girlfriend.
"Because your partner is looking to settle down, apparently." Sherlock purses his lips at his response and Sebastian smiles.
"So, Moriarty's sent you after wedding present ideas, is that it?" His smile widens. The snark of this man.
"How about I tell you all of the individual reasons, and then you can tell me why I'm here?" Sherlock tilts forward slightly, so he holds up a fist and continues. "Moriarty gave me mandatory vacation time." Sebastian unfolds his thumb. "There's a no kill order on you." He puts up his pointer finger. "You're sexually submissive." He puts up his middle finger. "And," he puts up his ring finger and pinky, folding his thumb, "I haven't fucked anyone in five months."
"You're here to proposition me," Sherlock states, stunned.
Sebastian circles Sherlock, stepping up behind him. He leans down enough so Sherlock can feel his breath on his skin, and watches the hair stand up on the back of his neck.
"I know that Detective Bell wants to sleep with you, but it's never good to sleep with coworkers, you know? But sleeping with the coworker of an enemy, well, where's the harm in that?" Sebastian huffs a soft laugh. "And between you and me, Bell seems like the lovemaking type. If you come to my bed, I'll fuck you the way you need to be fucked."
The tense set of Sherlock's shoulders tells Sebastian his words are having the desired effect.
He'll never tell anyone how much he enjoys watching this little freak run all over London solving crimes and being a nuisance. Or about the thrill that went through Sebastian when Moriarty told him about the no kill order. Until that point, he had been secretly dreading the day she would tell him to put a stop to Sherlock Holmes.
Will Sherlock say yes now? Or will he deny Sebastian and draw this out? He doesn't know which he wants more.
"I'm sure you can find my address if you decide to take me up on my offer. It's in Mayfair."

Notes
¹Suicide Act 1961. This act removed suicide as a crime in England and Wales, meaning those who survived a suicide attempt could not be prosecuted. Family members of those who did not survive could no longer be prosecuted either. However, under Suicide Act 1961, Section 2, it remains a crime for a third party to encourage or assist in the suicide of another.
²Terrorism or Organised Crime (or both)
Definitions:
Terrorism: The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
Organised crime: Criminal activities that are planned and controlled by powerful groups and carried out on a large scale.
The motive of organised crime is often, but not always, financial.
The Moriarty Plan is a force of violence with the intention of political change. This violence is commited against their home country meaning this is domestic terrorism. They have no wish for financial gain, however, because they are commiting crimes that are planned and controlled, this is also organised crime. Those directly involved in The Moriarty Plan and its execution are therefore guilty of both terrorism and organised crime.
³The Gun License Act 1870. This act meant that anyone may still purchase a gun, however a license was required to have one off your personal property for any reason. This means that James Bonde and Sebatian Moran are both guilty of illegal possession of a firearm as they are both legally dead and therefore cannot have a gun license. However, Sherlock, William and Von Herder are never disclosed to have a gun license but this does not mean they do not have one as they would be perfectly elligable to get one. If they do all own a gun license, this takes Sherlock's crimes down to 5, William's crimes down to 29 and Von Herder's crimes down to 7.

Out of Sight - part 1
Summary: Moriarty is your boss. After he helped you out of a precarious situation when you were still a minor, you started working for him. Now, he has a new job for you. Get close to the Holmes brothers to keep an eye on them for him. Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, Mycroft Holmes/Reader & Jim Moriarty/Reader Fandom: BBC Sherlock Word count: 1492
Masterlist
Jim Moriarty is a tricky man to work for, yet you do. After meeting you while you were a seventeen year old that had gotten involved with the wrong crowd, he had seen potential in you. So, after some training from his right hand man, Sebastian Moran, you became one of his best. He even gave you a nickname, Spike, after your personality. When you initially started working for him, you were quite spunky and talked back whenever you felt like it. Now that you’re older and have worked in his organisation for a couple of years, you’ve mellowed out a bit when it comes to business and listening to Jim. Now, you’re a ruthless assassin that will do whatever you’re told to by a certain Irishman in the blink of an eye. Currently, you’re on your way to his estate out of town. The sleek car that picked you up is quite lavish, something you’d somewhat grown used to as he tends to enjoy showing off. You watch the trees flash by you as the car speeds up while music plays through your earbuds. It had been a while since you last were at the estate, as you’d been out of the country for business the past couple of months. The car eventually comes to a halt and you quietly get out.
‘My dearest Spike,’ Jim smiles when you step into his office, ‘it has been a while hasn’t it?’ ‘It has, sir.’ You smile back at him. ‘Business in Hong Kong has been settled without too much issue.’ You glance at Sebastian entering the room. ‘The target has been eliminated and you are now in control of the biggest criminal network.’ Moriarty’s smile turns into a grin. ‘That is wonderful to hear, I didn’t expect any less from you.’ His face suddenly becomes serious again and he turns to Moran. ‘Sebastian, do you have the files I requested?’ The other man only nods before putting the files onto the desk. ‘Good, good.’ He starts looking through before his eyes turn to you once again. ‘Spikey dear, come here. I want you to look through these documents and photographs today, I have a new assignment for you.’ You approach the table and file which is filled to the brim. There’s mostly pictures of and reports about consulting detective Sherlock Holmes. Jim walks around the desk and stands next to you on your right, while Sebastian is already on your left. ‘I want you to get close to Sherlock Holmes and his Brother, Mycroft.’ He points out a picture of the two of them. ‘Keep and eye on them for me. Gather as much information as you possibly can, I do not care how, as long as you don’t reveal your identity.’ Turning to him, you finally look the shorter man in the eye. ‘Of course sir.’ Sebastian shoves another file into your hands before he starts talking. ‘We’ve arranged for a new identity so you’ll be able to fly under the radar. Name: Charlie Moore, age: 27, occupation: intelligence analyst at Scotland Yard. Any other information you may deem necessary can be found in this file. You’ll move into 221C Baker Street tomorrow morning. We’ve already arranged for you to be able to stay there.’ That night you spent looking through the files that were given to you. Sherlock and Mycroft both seem quite interesting in their own rights. Sherlock is a high functioning sociopath that seems to get a thrill out of showing off his intellect and skills to others. His skill is quite incredible, but nothing you hadn’t seen from Jim before. Besides, deduction is a skill a person is able to learn, quite easily in fact. You’d been taught by Sebastian when you first joined Moriarty’s organisation, though your skills have been sharpened over time, with some help from the Irishman himself when he thought you could do better. Now, you rival Sherlock’s speed and skill when it comes to deduction. Still, you understand why your boss is such a fan, that is what he calls it anyway. You think it’s more of an obsession. Contrary to his brother, Mycroft doesn’t seem to enjoy showing off as obviously as Sherlock does, yet he does enjoy flexing his power from time to time. The files you possess show how Sherlock’s newest acquaintance had been picked up by the man’s secretary multiple times and driven to an ominous location so he could talk to John. Supposedly, he offers money to those that get close to his brother, so you’d be keeping that in mind. It does become clear, however, that Mycroft didn’t just hold a minor position within the British government. Clearly he, like your boss, constantly keeps an eye on the consulting detective.
The following morning you arrive at Baker Street using a cab, so as to not have any suspicions arise. You have two suitcases, mostly holding clothes, books, and other essentials. Your larger weapons have already been delivered to and hidden in your new flat, so you don’t have to worry about those. After knocking on the door, you’re greeted by Mrs. Hudson, your new landlady. ‘Good morning dear, you must be the new tenant.’ She smiles brightly. ‘Yes, very nice to meet you Mrs Hudson.’ You smile back and stick out your hand for her to shake it. She does so before letting you in. Before she leaves you be in the flat, to which some basic furniture had already been delivered, courtesy of Jim, she warns you about your upstairs neighbours. ‘I do hope you’ve read the warning about the noise carefully dear. Sherlock can be quite a lot with his antics.’ Despite not being too worried about the noise, having had to deal with plenty of situations which were significantly worse than a single man could accomplish, you make sure to assure her you’ll be fine. ‘Yes, of course Mrs Hudson. Noise does not tend to bother me very much and I’ll be away for work during the day, so I suppose I should be fine.’ You smile at her again before closing your door and starting to unpack. It is Sunday morning, so you want to try and unpack most of your things before the start of the workweek, tomorrow is your first day at Scotland Yard after all. Before you start unpacking though, you put in your earbuds and put on Radiohead’s album In Rainbows.
The day went by without much issue, or noise from the upstairs neighbours. Probably because Sherlock was on a case, as your employer had let you know. During that time, you’d hidden the last of your weapons in places which aren't deductible and gotten your image in check. Your persona was quite a boring one to be fair, and while there’s always a hint of truth in them to make it believable, your own life has a lot more excitement and risk. Still, that is something you have to intentionally hide from the brothers and their acquaintances. Looking at your watch, you decide it’s time to go to the shops, as you’d be likely to arrive once Sherlock’s already back and you’d have a reason to introduce yourself. ‘Bye Mrs Hudson. I’ll be back in a few.’ You close the door behind you and head out. When you return with a bag of food, you’re met by two men standing at the door. You immediately recognise them as Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson. ‘Excuse me, could you please step aside so I can get to my flat?’ You deliberately make your voice softer and quieter than it usually is as to come across as somewhat shy. The doctor steps aside without much hesitation while the detective just turns around and starts trying to deduce you. ‘You must be the new tenant. Nice to meet you, I’m John Watson.’ The short man smiles at you. You shake his hand before introducing yourself and turning to the taller man, though he isn’t much taller than you. ‘Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective.’ He looks you over once again. ‘You’re in the police force but no officer, your nails are too clean for that. You’re dressed as if you have a new job despite it being a Sunday, you’ve only brought clothes you wear to work, which means you don’t go out much or meet people in your free time. You prefer listening to music and reading books to social interactions.’ You feign surprise but are glad, those were all the markers you’d set for him to read. He turns around and heads up the stairs to 221B. ‘I’ll see you at Scotland Yard tomorrow.’ John quickly turns to you and apologises for his friend’s behaviour before following him up the stairs. He’s certainly a character. Didn’t notice a thing though. -S
I told you so, and that’s why I wanted you to do this. -JM
I’ll keep you updated. -S

Hello! I hope you're doing good! May I request the William, Luis and Moran with an assassin that does fencing , like they're going after the same target tho assassin reader gets to the target first before they can.
Also make sure to take care of yourself!

Louis’ eyes meet the gaze of a certain assassin, a skilled fencer, at the other side of the room he’s in, who has arrived a little earlier than him to eliminate his designated target. He is both intrigued and slightly irritated by their presence. It isn’t often that he encounters assassins who know how to use a blade perfectly like that, and he’s curious to see the lengths this one goes to in order to complete their mission. Louis decides to keep an eye on the assassin to see if they can successfully take out his assigned target before him.
Sebastian and the mystery assassin meet at the same time, having a small battle of skills in trying to get to a target. The assassin is swift, graceful, and skilled, showing much more agility than Sebastian in their sword strikes. As he blocks their weapon, he's surprised by the amount of skill they have, and their movements are so quick that it's hard to land attacks on them. Sebastian is utterly dumbfounded that a someone can have this level of skill in fencing, and he is amazed by the beauty and grace that they possesse as they strike at him. Sebastian's feelings of affection grow as he starts to fantasize about them and become very possessive of that assassin.
William initially feels disappointed that he was beaten to it, but eventually accepts that assassin was just faster and more efficient at the job. Y/N is pleased that they were able to beat William. We can say William also respects Y/N's abilities and understands their frustration, so he does not gloat or act smug about it.

Sherlock Fic Recs - October 2024
I have spent a fair bit of time perusing others' AO3 Sherlock bookmarks over the past couple of years and have found many earlier works which don't always make it onto newer rec lists. Here are five that I highly recommend.
First up, The James Holmes Chronicles, by pretty vk (the primary trilogy ranges from T to E to M and comprises almost 300k words; there are a few additional shorter pieces, most of which review certain events through other characters' POV). In a nutshell, Sherlock completes his mission and acquires a son. This is very adult fiction; pay attention to the tags. The son Sherlock acquires is Moriarty's 12-year-old who has been sexually and physically abused since age 9 by Sebastian Moran. The Sherlock here is familiar from S1 & S2, distant, slow to understand emotions, but caring in his own way. Eventual johnlock.
One of my go-to favorites is The Trivial Sublime by mildredandbobbin (E, 54k). Post-TRF, Sherlock must cope with John's being with Mary, which situation is fairly quickly resolved. As their relationship develops, Victor Trevor enters the scene, resulting in Sherlock making a horrible blunder at an intimate moment with John. All ends well.
Another post-TRF (do you detect a theme?) is This is Not a Love Song (Except that It Is), by yaycoffee (T, 20k), with a sequel, If These Walls Could Speak (M, 6k). John is involved with Mary (who is not an assassin and is not awful), but is thrilled when Sherlock returns. At first Sherlock vies with Mary for John's attention, until he realizes he is hurting him. Lots of angst for Sherlock and John. Happy ending.
Touch by aggressivewhenstartled (T, 1.8k). Both John and Sherlock are having a bad day. My favorite line: Sherlock had been a ball of snapping, squirming eels the entire afternoon. They work it out.
Post-TAB, settling of the dust by thosewhowant (E, 12k) is a lovely, angsty johnlock. They get together but John abruptly leaves and doesn't immediately return. Sherlock fights his addiction and learns to cope. Happy ending.

There are plenty of shows about Sherlock Holmes in a modern setting, and not enough of them focusing on Professor Moriarty
I imagine a series where he's the main character and throughout the first 15 minutes of the first episode, he's going around his merry life: he's planning his classes in the morning, taking some time to learn gaelic Irish as a "reconnecting to my roots" hobby, teaching Mathematics to a couple of students in the afternoon, complaining that his Microsoft Word document is blank when the book deal wants the first 5 chapters on his studies on blackholes done by the end of the month... All the while strange things keep happening to him: an odd phone call he ignores, a strange man waiting for him at the university entrance, a student commenting on his out of character annoyance that day
And then in the following 30 minutes are comprised of him meeting up a potential client through one of his many men and listening to the entire convo while giving instructions on how to answer, and you watch as he plans and executes the perfect assassination plan
The last 5 minutes are composed of him just opening his laptop to write the chapters he's due to his editor while sipping some wine. Sebastian Moran is there drinking with him too
#please take my pitch pleeeaseee take my pitch#i am so tired of mid moriarty centered media you gotta give me SOMETHING#sherlock holmes#professor moriarty

One Night in Palermo: Chapter 2
Hi Ho! Your friendly neighborhood Jane here. My apologies for the delay in getting out this chapter. The story is all written, so don't worry about it just ending 4 chapters in and without any resolution. Life just got in the way of editing, which I regret, but WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! Woo hoo!! Anyway, please enjoy the next installment.
-------
Sherlock had been observing Antonio Costa, a fairly prominent man in the Sicilian mafia who had oft worked with Moriarty, for two days. He was the man who provided killers for Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson on the day Sherlock had jumped. The detective had waited a long time to end this man and his organization. He had watched Costa’s movements and habits so as to catch the man when he least expected it. It would not be a difficult assignment. Sherlock planned to neutralize some of Costa’s men along with him, which posed some risk, but he intended to have the element of surprise on his side. The real question in Sherlock’s mind was: did the assassin have Costa in his sights as well or was the man already following the final target: Sebastian Moran?
Sherlock waited quietly in the darkness of an opulent office belonging to a man whose taste in decor rivaled that of Mycroft Holmes with its historic trinkets and mahogany furniture. Across Palermo, Antonio Costa would enjoy dinner with his wife and two children before he returned to the office. The information Sherlock had gathered since arriving in Palermo revealed that the night’s discussion would focus on the murder of twenty innocent people.
Costa’s aim was to turn the city against local government officials, forcing them to resign so he could fill their seats with his own candidates. Public opinion would dictate that if the government couldn’t protect twenty children on a school bus, they could not protect anyone. It was a particularly heartless endeavor. One of the children who rode the bus was his own daughter’s best friend. Collateral damage, he had said with a crass chuckle when first revealing the plan a mere twenty-four hours ago as Sherlock had spied. The detective’s lip curled in disgust as he thought of it. Costa was not a man he would waste any guilt on.
The detective looked to the ornate grandfather clock when it chimed nine o’clock. Costa would be back within the hour. Five men would be seated around the table with him, his most trusted and most likely to take over his affairs upon his death. With all of them neutralized as well, Costa’s influence would die with him. Not only would the children riding the bus to school in the morning be safe, but countless others the man would use as pawns in the future.
As Sherlock waited, his eyes scanned the dimly lit room, resting here and there on objects of interest. A carved, wooden box displayed on a wall shelf depicted the Eye of Ra. Several gold coins from Mesopotamia were mounted in a frame on the opposite wall. A small table held an 18th century chess set with pieces carved from ivory. As he continued to take in his surroundings, an antique magnifying glass on Costa’s desk caught his attention and he vowed to find one for himself once at Baker Street again. His eyes next fell on a leather-bound journal carefully placed on the bookcase behind the desk. It was at the end of a row of well-worn books, all propped against one another at an angle rather than held in place with a bookend. It was meant to look nonchalant, tossed on the shelf carelessly, but had clearly been placed there with reverence. It was the keeper of Costa’s secrets, the place he turned to when he could tell no other of his deepest feelings. Sherlock had seen the man write in it more than once while he tracked Costa’s movements over the last two days. Leaving the book in plain sight really was the best hiding place, despite what one might think. Costa’s enemies were more likely to sweep all of the books to the floor while looking for something secreted away than study any of the books themselves.
Both the appearance of the book; its soft, warm leather cover tied with a narrow strap to match, and its contents made Sherlock’s mind turn to John Watson. All warm and soft jumpers, tea and toast and cinnamon. Sherlock had not seen John since that first day he stood at the freshly placed grave marker, the name Sherlock Holmes etched elegantly across its surface. John’s shoulders were hunched and his whole body seemed to fold in on itself. Tears stained his face, dripping from his chin to land on coat sleeves or to coalesce with the dew upon every blade of grass. I was so alone and you gave me so much, John’s words had floated sadly through the still air, filling Sherlock’s heart with so much grief he thought it would burst. Please stop being dead. God, how Sherlock had wanted to step away from the cover of trees and take John in his arms and never let go.
Sherlock quietly eased back to lean against the wall behind his back, ensconcing himself further in the shadows. He was nearly in the same time zone as John, only an hour ahead. Was John having a late dinner? Was he in his dressing gown or talking with Mrs. Hudson? Maybe he and Lestrade were having a pint. Sherlock could see John’s face clearly in his mind’s eye; that lopsided grin or his tender smile. He closed his eyes and silently inhaled. The memories were so strong, he could swear the scent of his friend lingered around the edges of the breath he took. God, how he longed to be in his armchair across from John in 221B. Sherlock would tell him his secrets. All of them, keep nothing hidden, especially his most well-kept secret. It was time that John knew.
Sherlock’s eyes flew open and he forced his mind to banish the thought. He must not fall prey to distraction, even in the more boring moments. He scanned the room again in search of something interesting, which he found near the three windows along the north wall of the room. Each one was dark and left open to cool the room with night air. They had tall panes of glass and long, sheer curtains that moved slowly in the light breeze. The closest window, however, had something the other two did not: a movement ever so guarded that no one else would have seen it. To the most observant man in England, it was a neon sign.
Eyes fixed on the spot, Sherlock waited for them to pick out the lines and shapes in the dark alcove. He pieced them together as each new one emerged until he could see the full picture. It was a man. Sherlock could tell that easily. The man was crouching, waiting, steady and patient. He was wearing dark colors with his face and head covered. Sherlock caught a faint glint of metal on the man’s person. A gun. The assassin.
Sherlock quickly determined the best route to the man and began moving silently closer. Though they seemed to have the same goal, that did not guarantee he would not put a bullet in Sherlock’s head just as easily as Costa’s. The detective kept his eyes on the crouched man as he approached, his own gun gripped in both hands at the ready. He waited until he stood in the darkness only a few feet from the man, leveling his weapon at the assassin’s head.
“Put the gun on the floor and stand up,” Sherlock growled, his voice low and dangerous. “Keep your hands where I can see them.”
The other man’s body was tense and motionless. Sherlock waited a few seconds, every sense on high alert. His mind processed every outcome and his fingers tightened around the gun in his hands. This man was not going to make it easy.
“Put it down,” Sherlock repeated.
The man moved his head to turn his face toward Sherlock. It was the slightest movement, not even an inch, but enough to tell the detective all he needed to know. This man was a mercenary.
“Did you really think I hadn’t heard you?” a gravelly voice replied and Sherlock could hear the cruel grin in the tone.
Fast as lightning, Sherlock moved, but not soon enough. The man spun on his heel, still crouching, and launched a footstool at Sherlock. He had just enough time to dodge, but could not avoid the man’s lunge as he plowed headlong into Sherlock’s legs. He hit the floor with a crash that knocked the wind from his lungs and the other man was on top of him. Sherlock did not know where his attacker’s weapon was as the man scrabbled for his hands, intent clear.
Sherlock cuffed the man and rolled their bodies so his full weight rested on him. Their arms stretched out overhead, reaching and hands grasping. Sherlock still held the gun in his right hand; both of the man’s were wrapped around his wrist. Sherlock’s left hand pulled at the man’s right wrist, attempting to pull it away from his own. Without warning, the man bent his right elbow and thrust it neatly in between their combined arms to crack Sherlock’s chin with bone. He twisted beneath the detective and flipped their bodies again, crashing Sherlock’s hand onto the floor and forcing him to release the gun. Suddenly, the man’s forearm pressed against Sherlock’s throat, supported at the wrist by his other arm and drastically decreasing the detective’s air supply. He gasped and grappled with the man’s arms, trying to gain purchase, but the man’s arms would not budge.
As he struggled, Sherlock ran through option after option and immediately discounted every one until he settled on the right approach. He twisted his hips and threw his long legs from side to side. The man was straddling his belly as opposed to his hips, supporting a position conducive to strangulation, but leaving Sherlock with the ability to use his own lower body to his advantage.
Sherlock’s thrashing legs and twisting hips took the man by surprise and, despite his valiant efforts, the arm against Sherlock’s throat began to give way. One more thrash and a shove with his arms rewarded Sherlock with a gasping breath as the man crashed to the floor next to him. He was free! Still, the detective could not rest on his laurels. He kicked the man’s knee, knocking it from beneath him as he began to rise. Using the delay to his advantage, Sherlock picked up his own gun from the floor and leveled it at the man once more. Unfortunately, his attacker had the same idea. So there they stood, each on his knees, a scant few feet apart with a gun pointed at the other’s head.
Both men were breathing hard, chests heaving with the effort to catch their breath. Suddenly, the assassin’s hitched in his throat in what could only be surprise. With the combined cap and mask pulled over his head and face, Sherlock could see nothing but the man’s eyes. Meanwhile, the skull cap Sherlock had used to hide his own distinctive curls had fallen off somewhere near the end of the struggle. Mycroft had encouraged him to cut his hair and dye it at the onset of his first assignment, which he did. It made sense to hide his identity so completely. After a few months though, Sherlock began to lose himself and feel further from John than ever. Within three months, his dark curls were back and he wore the skull cap anytime he was not in a safe house. To his credit, Mycroft said nothing.
Now, the curls were out and he was fully exposed. The man before him clearly knew who he was, but it did not concern Sherlock in the slightest. He knew the deep, ocean blue eyes well. They were the same eyes he saw in every dream every night since he leapt off St. Bart’s.
“Sherlock?” an all too familiar voice breathed into the air between them, full of disbelief and hope.
“Che cazzo!” a gruff voice called from across the room before shots rang out.
Sherlock fired back and then took cover as John fired his own shot, hitting Costa expertly between the eyes before diving for cover. Unfortunately, one of the shots from Costa’s men proved accurate and hit the doctor, changing his trajectory as he fell and making him run headlong into the curio cabinet he meant to duck behind. Stunned, Sherlock stared at John’s still body as bullets continued to whiz through the room. No no no! He just got John back. He could not lose him again!
-------
A shorter chap, I know, but WTF?!? JOHN???!!! Jane, what are you playing at, you say? Nyeh nyeh nyeh, you'll see. Alright, alright. I know John being the assassin isn't really earth-shatteringly shocking, but it certainly raises a lot of questions, eh? Will there be answers? Join me in the next nerve-tingling episode. 😱 Jane

///@elder-sister this is who I think should be Sonia’s prosecutor rival.
“Father, I will continue on your legacy of discovering the truth, by any means necessary!”
Name (alias): Irene pólemos (Sebastian Moran)
Birthday: June 10 (No year because I’m too lazy to figure one out.)
Backstory: Born into a wealthy Greek family and being an only child, her parents met a most brutal end in a murder case that Hercule Curieux would take while on his trip to Greece. After the case was finished and the murderer was locked away, he adopted Irene to still give her a good family, or at the very least a parent who she could look up to. Time-skip to after Hercules death and Irene decides to become a prosecutor, taking Hercules badge and disguising herself as a man named Sebastian Moran, to make sure she can continue the legacy of Hercule Curieux.
Name meanings: 1. This character is a reference to Irene Adler from a scandal in Bohemia and Sebastian Moran was the right hand assassin for Moriarty. And 2. Polemos means war in Greek while Irene means peace, so combining them would give “Peace and War”.
Letmotifs:
Irene Polemo: https://youtu.be/bmSVUO_BSuI?si=fN17UCm3s3EPWt4Z
Sebastian Moran: https://youtu.be/6pT6JqgR-wo?si=idMP6I1haaj_Ch3W
Their testimony theme: https://youtu.be/zMqxveujf0I?si=1h9aS-nEET7pvrhS
And finally, the images of how they look (1st is Sebastian Moran, the second is Irene Polemos.)

A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THIS BLOG, THIS PREMISE, AND THIS CHARACTER. many aspects and concepts are directly taken from or inspired by robert ludlum's the bourne trilogy as well as the bourne franchise, but this blog does not exist in that canon. ideas for this blog may be taken or inspired by these pieces of media, but are not directly tied to them in any way, and all credit goes to the original creators.
OPERATION: TREADSTONE is a top-secret black ops organization designed to recruit, train, and deploy hitmen. the program was created secretly in response to three executive orders forbidding the united states from permitting or partaking in assassinations. the program is a joint operation between the american CIA and the british SIS.
this covert operation utilizes a forbidable, highly-trained group of assassins stationed across the globe who present themselves as average citizens hiding in plain sight. these assassins, or ASSETS, act almost like sleeper agents, maintaining a facade of normalcy and existing as casual civilians until summoned into active duty.
assets are given cover professions, intense training, handlers to guide them through missions, and all the tools and information necessary for travel, reconaissance, espionage, and the eventual elimination of their dangerous targets.
after acquiring his english language and literature degree at the university of oxford, sebastian moran entered the british armed forces in 2012 and subsequently completed specialist weapons school, as well as the british army sniper operator's course. in 2020, he left the military and was approached by representatives from OPERATION: TREADSTONE. they were interested in recruiting him due to his proficiency with long range weapons. he was quickly trained as an asset and now operates primarily within their guidelines.
with the guidance of his handler/logistics coordinator, emily kelso, sebastian has become one of the more successful assets within OPERATION: TREADSTONE.
sebastian moran was given a cover profession upon entering the organization that best aligned with his skills, level of knowledge, and field of study when attending university. he became an english literature professor at the queen mary university of london and now teaches two classes: 1) shakespeare: the play, the word, and the book, and 2) renaissance drama. MI6 has rigorously fortified his credentials to prevent the possibility of blown cover.
when sebastian is not on missions, he can be found at his flat on ladbroke road in london, at the local wine bar, or on campus teaching classes or holding office hours for students. he does travel for work and/or for pleasure, so he can also be found wandering rooftops or exploring the local food scene of a new town or place.

Mod's Crush Competition Round 1
Hey guys! Based on the poll I sent out, it looks like some of you wanted to see what kind of fictional crushes I've had and of course I'm more than happy to oblige...
These are all crushes I've had through my lifetime so not all of them are current. Some of them I can explain and others make me question my life choices. They're also all male because I'm only attracted to men. (Maybe next time I'll do a tournament with your guys' crushes)
I tried to limit it to 3 characters per franchise but Yugioh ended up with 5 because there are so many series and I have seen all of them (It's been a very important fandom in my life). I also tried my best to not overrun it with anime. I admit my number of fictional crushes spiked when I started watching anime though. They know how to make them pretty.
Anyways, let's take a look at our bracket:
I am already dreading some of these matchups. For the first round, I am going to split the polls between 2 days. The first half will go up on Tuesday, September 26. The second half will go up on Thursday, September 28. All polls will last a week.
Some reminders:
Please be nice! To me and to fellow voters. I know I've had some weird crushes (and I don't mind if you think I'm weird) but I won't accept hate. If there's a problem, be civil.
Have fun! Don't take this too seriously because it's just a little Tumblr tournament I'm doing for fun and I just want people to enjoy it.
Since the pictures in the bracket are so small, matchups will be under the cut and link to the polls once they start.
Tuesday, September 26 polls

Sherlock S3 fanfic finale idea.
I liked Mary in the show, but I was disappointed that nothing really came out of her being an assassin. This could've started an interesting new storyline for S4.
Just imagine that the key mentioned in S2 was actually real, and Moriarty's Second in command, Sebastian Moran, knew that. However, he didn't know where it was. While he tried to keep Moriarty's network alive across the world, he still needed eyes in London, but not many to draw awareness from the government. So Moran got dirt on retired assassin, Rosasmund Mary.
He told Mary that he'll let her "live her life" as long as he reported anything she saw in London that could be useful to Sebastian Moran. At some point, she ended up meeting John Watson. She fell in love with him and did feel bad about what happened to Sherlock. She did feel like him and John were closer than they'd appear when Sherlock was alive, and while John may have felt closer to Sherlock than her, that isn't to say that her and John didn't have chemistry
Anyways, Sherlock came back, and Mary had to manage to do her best concealment to Moran and Sherlock during this time. She hoped she was doing a good job, but it all came crushing down on "x" day. (X day happens after S3E2)
Pretty much, Moran is starting to find the missing clues as to where the key of London is at. He just needs one more thing at "x" place. Mycroft picks onto some of what Sebastian Moran is doing and sends Sherlock to help, which he agrees once he figures out that Moran was Moriarty's second in command. Sherlock goes with John to figure things out where we get some cute moments from both of them. Meanwhile, Sebastian Moran calls Mary. He confronts her about some things and tells her to come at "x" place.
Sherlock and John arrive at the place. Something similar to the gunshot scene that happens in the finale is what happens in this one as well.
Sherlock tells John to keep watch while he explores the room. Sherlock then goes through the next entrance, only to find someone pointing a gun to his head. The person pointing the gun starts to ask monotone questions. He quickly realizes this is Mary. (The reason why Mary is doing this is because Moran is telling her to. If she doesn't, John will die.) Mary ends up shooting him in the chest, close to his heart like in the original episode.
Almost the same events as the original episode follow until the Interrogation scene with Mary. This time, Mary's reasons to do things are different. John doesn't forgive her and says that he needs time to sort things out.
I'm not sure how the rest of part 1 in this fanfic will roll out exactly, but I do know that Mary should have an honorable death in the end and that in the day after her death the "miss me" sign appears along with Moriarty's face, a taunt to Sherlock.
If anyone wants to adopt this idea, please do. Just let me know about it because I will want to read it.
