ignoring the dirty mirror and how Rough this looks

i tried to do some sebastian cosplay stuff with spending as little as possible - if i had the money to get better supplies it would look way better than this. but for what it is its Okay-ish. i need to adjust the face proportions the best i can + fix the esca + lower the fins on the headband, etc. theres alot i still need to do for these. but i just wanted to show what it looks like.

unfortunately its very hot to wear as there isnt enough holes in the mask for me to breathe. so ill actually be cutting the jaw off under the top lip, and making it movable so that i can breathe and it wont be as restricting on my face. nothing is done so here is my wip of these things! i still have to paint and fix the tail but everything thats been used has been what i have around the house.

Sebastian Public School Arc is OFFICIALLY IN THE WORKS!!

Chat, it's official. I'm cosplaying the pretty demon guy. And I spent about three hours today working on the coat mockup so here's what's going on with that:

The coat itself is based off the pattern I made from my old Grelle cosplay (it's from Miccostumes, I'm ripping it apart to remake the whole thing, that'll be a whole series of posts after this dramatic loser is done- cosplay can be bought here) with some HEAVY alterations. The initial coat pattern is really boxy, so I ended up taking in the side seams and back seams, as well as adding darts to the back. Sebastian's waist is. Arguably snatched so I definitely wasn't going to skip out on that. Sebastian's coat also doesn't have a vent in the back like Grelle's does, so that part of the pattern had to get shifted around as well. I've got more work to do on the patterning as a whole (I need to change the collar height of my initial pattern, and completely repattern the sleeves- the base sleeves are to loose), but in general the mock up is set.

I do need to modify my lining pattern pieces as well, I'll need to adjust the facing and back to better fit the new pattern. I don't really need to worry about that yet, I don't have my lining fabric and won't be lining this the same way as the initial Grelle coat (the initial coat was flat lined with the edges covered by bias tape, I'm planning to bag line Sebastian's coat instead).

The final coat will be made from a cotton poplin (https://syfabrics.com/products/copy-of-100-cotton-sheeting-solid-black-6-ounce-1?_pos=7&_sid=dcc2a433f&_ss=r) and probably lined with this poly taffeta. Once the poplin arrives next week, I'll be able to cut everything out and get started on embroidering everything!! I'll go into detail on that when I get to that point.

My main concern is just. Making this shit look good- this is a competition cosplay so I have to get my shit together. Absolutely praying the eight months I have is enough time to get this bitch done

The posts that I didn’t bother to appeal will be cross-posted to my Dreamwidth account. I’m still angry about the two posts that have apparently been deleted (they’ve gone completely missing from my archive) and I’m flummoxed over how I appeal the ‘possible adult content’ on a self-reblog where the original post of mine that I reblogged was NOT marked as NSFW.

Oop! A little mask test for Winter Soldier? I was honestly kinda testing to see if I even wanted to really pursue this particular cosplay. I’ll definitely need a wig, but I kinda? Love it?
