Doctor Who 23.09 Terror of the Vervoids Part 1

Mel actually doesn't get a formally introduction, her first appearance is in a story set up in the far future of the Doctor, so we never get to see how they meet up !! she is also kinda badly treat was well, the writers don't have any idea in what do to with her so the most what she does is scream when a monster appears !! and Just like how the all surrounding the six Doctor is all got fixed with Big Finished, she got her introduction story and get to do something at least, well that what I heard, she even got to appear in the recent show as well !!

James and Sharna- Season 23

What I really loved about this dance is how good it was from someone that was not a ringer in any sense of the word. James is a racecar driver. He did have natural ability. But I never expected him to be able to pull off a rumba that was *this* good. Even the ringers can have trouble with this dance. So a man who is not a ringer to not only get the technique right, but really get the right balance of energy for the character of this dance, was a huge feat in my mind. And something that I have noticed is that the choreography for all of these dances have not been super in your face. And it still comes off very sexual, sensual, passionate and everything in between without it becoming cringey.

Doctor Who 23.06 Mindwarp Part 2

I don't think any other companion got it worse then Peri, Mostly her actions on the show were to be a peril monkey for the Doctor to rescue and nothing much, which is just a waste because Nicola Bryant is actually a pretty good actress, a tangent here, most of the acting is really good actually even in these very low periods were the show as, Nicola Bryant and Bonnie Langford actually pull off decent acting and manage to be actually likable characters, the trouble is that the writes don't know what to do with them !!

Peri endure a lot of mean shit of the six Doctor as well, and the worst happen here !! On this story The Doctor have pretends to turncoat to the side of the bad guys, and then we have this scene where we have the Doctor torturing Peri !!! This story ends with infamous murder of Peri, she gets her mind swap with the evil alien of the story and them murder by the Psychotic murder warrior they wanted to swap brains early, The Doctor is capture by the time lords in his way to save her, but actually is reveal in the end of the season that Peri is alive, and married with said Psychotic murder warrior !!!

Peri is counted as the few companions that have died in the show, I think, and that's just wrong !! only 3 companions have actually die so far, Alexandra and Sara in The Daleks Master Plan and Adric in Earthshock , But if you wanna count Astrid and Adeleine !! Then 5. Moffat contributed with a bunch of non deaths of companions as well, play off the Toymaker puppet show here !!

Fun Fact Number One: One season before he became the Sixth Doctor, Colin Baker played another Gallifreyan named Commander Maxil, who shot the Doctor and Colin Baker has joked that that's how he got the role. Also Colin Baker played Commander Maxil with a high ego (even for a Gallifreyan) that the producer, John Nathan-Turner asked Colin Baker to tone it down because it was called "Doctor Who" not "Commander Maxil" but Colin Baker was intentionally playing Maxil as if he were the main character, saying that no person would ever consider themselves as a minor character in someone else's life, so he played Maxil as if he were the main character.

Fun Fact Number Two: Nicola Bryan (my second favorite classic companion after Leela) played American Companion, Perpugilliam "Peri" Brown but she is actually British and she was required to always speak in an American accent even when they weren't shooting, in fact, Colin Baker didn't even know she was British until years later at a dinner party when she was talking in her real accent.

Just six more days! Here’s Mel Bush and the Sixth Doctor. Drawing his jacket very nearly caused me to go blind. In research for this one I watched “Trial of a Time Lord” which was much better than I anticipated. I’ve not spent much time w this Doctor so that’s my recommendation.
