haircare routine goes HARD!! always having 2 lathers of shampoo, 1 layer of conditioner then another layer of leave-in conditioner, protection products and after allat he has curl serum (he does it with a scalp massager too btw)

Closet Witchcraft: How To Get Witchy When You Can't Come Out Of The Broom Closet

Some basic/general tips for being a closet witch. (If you are in a severely abusive household, be sure to scroll down to the end.)

Cultivate some skills

Many skills can be put to witchy purposes if you're determined. Consider gardening, cooking, sewing, crochet, scrapbooking, painting, drawing, calligraphy, woodworking, carving, or literally any craft skill you can start practicing. If you knit a scarf with colors chosen for their magical symbolism or make a little owl sculpture as a charm to help you retain knowledge, nobody but you has to know.

Study and learn about nature

Start learning about plants, animals, geology, ecology, or whatever catches your interest. Get into the habit of observing nature wherever you are, and observing how humans and nature interact and affect each other.

Use everyday items where you can

You can practice divination with poker cards or dice, and your phone can serve as a scrying mirror. You can use a pendant or metal washer for pendulum divination.

As for cleansing, a literal wash in water is fine for any object that won't get damaged. You can use literally any cleaning tool or method with magical intent.

You can use your fingers in place of prayer beads, using either whole fingers or individual knuckles.

You can also use your fingers to trace symbols and runes on stuff.

You can represent your deities using art or knickknacks representing their symbols, like a small cat statue for Bast.

On keeping witchy literature (grimoires, Books of Shadows, printed books, etc.)

Keeping an online grimoire/BOS and getting witchy books in ebook format is often a good option.

Certain methods of practice can also reduce the amount of literature you need to keep on hand. (For example, learning correspondence through observation, using this model of deity/entity work, or practicing energy work.)

If no one is likely to go through your things, keeping your grimoire/BOS in a plain three-ring binder may be enough to avoid detection. (Camouflage is a great friend when hiding things.)

More on hiding things

So you might want something a little fancy, like a tarot deck or a more witchy-looking piece of decor.

If people aren't likely to go through your stuff or come in without knocking, you can keep a lot of things in a drawer or small storage box when you have to. Simple padlocks will be enough to keep small children and the typical casual guest out of your things.

To hide small objects, you can also get an opaque vase and fake flowers, put your witchy stuff in the bottom of the vase, and put the flowers on top.

You can also place a toilet paper tube inside a glass jar and fill it with something like small rocks, seashells, beads, buttons, or candies. (There's a tutorial for this kind of here. Though you won't need to wrap the toilet paper tube in wrapping paper, of course.)

If the jar is higher than the tube, you can glue a circle of cardboard to the bottom of the tube so you can rest it on top a layer of your filling so that it comes up to the jar's mouth.

If you want to use something like a sauce jar and want to take the label off completely, remember that oil will dissolve the adhesive.

Stuffed animals can be turned into hiding spaces. There are many tutorials out there for this.

Pieces of paper can be slipped into books. Thus you can conceal witchy reference sheets.

If you are in a seriously unhealthy situation

I wrote the above with people who don't live in severely abusive homes in mind. Like maybe the people you live with would flip out if they discovered that you're practicing witchcraft and maybe then you might be in danger, but they aren't likely to go snooping through all of your stuff and aren't going to hurt you because you breathed wrong. It’s like that with you, since the first time he saw you, with pink hair tumbling down your shoulders, cute bows at two pixie buns at either side of your head. the way you smell like the freshest sea breeze, he loves just standing next to you on the deck and breathing you in. you're literally a breath of fresh air

Also he knew immediately that he wanted to touch you. like, all the time. sweet and soft and gentle, he's in love with your curves, your supple skin, your flowy clothes and pastel eyeshadows. he's in love with your softness: your quiet, gentle bird's voice, the way that you smile and blush whenever he meets your sparkly eyes

You're also curvier than Nami and Robin (or most of the girls in one piece cmon oda) and he loves your squishy parts like your upper arms or lower hips (your ass, your tits), and he can't help from squeezing them, always passing his hands over you as he slides past you in the hallway, or playing tag with you on the deck (you love playing games with your captain; it's like you're little kids! you want to build sandcastles at the beach with him--which is why you invite him to the beach, originally)

"You need a break, Captain," you smile sweetly at him, holding the paper invitation in your hands. It's cream, with tinted pink designs of seashells on the edges. It has gold writing on it, giving him the address of your beach house and the dates you want him to visit. You hand it to him, sheepishly. He takes it, stars in his eyes as seagulls call over head. You hold your hands behind your back.

"Whooooaa, seashells!" He turns the paper over in his hands. "Is this for me?"

You nod, shifting on your feet. Your turquoise skirt floats around your legs. Your thigh pokes out from the deep slit on the side. Your golden sandals are laced halfway up your calf, with beads dangling from the side.

“I want you to come to my beach house!” You explain, “While the rest of the crew is on leave.” You bounce up onto your toes, your white crochet halter scratching against your underarms. Luffy bounces, too.

Except he bounces three feet into the air, rocketing around the ship like an elastic firework.

“OF COURSE I’LL COME!!!” He shouts from his perch on the mast, before slingshotting back down to land at your feet. He’s grinning six inches from you, hands around your waist. “Can we go now?”

You tie your silky, pink hair up in two ribbons, having french braided the top half into two pixie buns, letting the rest fall down your back in loose waves. The sea salt is already frizzing up your hair slightly, but you shrug. Luffy doesn’t usually care about stuff like that, anyway.

Besides, you like a little wildness.

You trot down the beach, following a singing Luffy who skips a few feet in front of you. You’re wearing a a silver bikini, with a lavender cover-up tied around your waist. Seashell bracelets decorate your wrists.

“Let’s build a sand castle!” You call, dipping your toes into wet sand. Sea stars and broken bits of shell litter the beach. Tide pools gather with snipping crabs and soft sands. You pick your way around any potential snippers, as you catch up to where Luffy’s kneeling in the sand.

He’s further away from the water, where the sand is dry and hot from the midsummer sun. The waves crash gently at the beach.

The house itself is up on the hill, grassy tufts of greenery lining the rocky incline. It’s white and blue and shuttered, with lacy trimming and a rickety screen door. It’s old, and small, and so, so cute. You’ve spent most of your childhood summers, here. You count yourself lucky.

Luffy is already scooping piles of sand into one big mound.

“Hey, that’s not how you do that,” you say, trudging up farther to the base of the wooden stairs that lead up the hill. You grab a shiny red bucket and a blue plastic shovel. You giggle, tipping any debris out of the old pail set you’ve used since you were a kid. A couple sand flies spurt out, but you shoo them away. Luffy calls your name.

“Y/N! I wanna be king! You can be the princess,” he grins as you come back. He’s squatting in his red swim trunks, chest left bare for the sun. His skin is almond honey, and his arms flex as he works. “Gimme the bucket,” he holds out a hand without looking. A comma of intense concentration forms between his eyebrows; he sticks his tongue out to the side.

“We should put a star on the castle, so everyone knows it’s ours.”

He snickers, scooping sand into the bucket. He pats it down with the shovel. “I like that, Y/N! Let’s go get one.” He searches around the shore for something worthwhile. You take the bucket from him, kneeling in the sand. Black and tan flecks stick to your upper thighs.

You busy yourself with tipping out sand pillars, forming the square ring for the castle. You’ll put a big mound in the middle, you think, and add turrets on either side. You’re lost in thought, scooping piles together, when Luffy comes back.

He lets out a low whistle, “Whew, that looks cool!” He sits down with a thump, toned legs crisscrossed like a little kid’s. He dumps out a bunch of sea shells, sand dollars, crab shells, and bits of broken rock and glass onto the sand. He giggles at his treasure.

“Look at this one, Y/N! It’s shaped like Chopper!” He holds up a brown bottle glass piece, with two sharp juts sticking out like antlers. You grin.

“That’s so cool!!!” You geek out with him, poring over the little beach gifts.

“I like this one,” you point out a silver seashell, glittering with opalescence on one side. The other is dark brown and ridged. “Abalone,” you explain, holding up the palm-sized piece. You trace your fingers over the iridescent shimmers, all turquoise and violet in the sunlight. It’s getting close to evening, soon.

“Mother of pearl,” Luffy says, tracing the outside ridge of the sea shell. “Nami likes that, too.”

You smile, softly. His fingertips move closer to yours, both of you holding the shell between you. His hand ghosts over yours, touching the back of your wrist. “I like you,” he says, voice cracking. “Do ya like me, too?”

A coral blush is formed on his cheeks, his dark eyes cast away from you for now. You duck your head to meet him. “Yeah,” you whisper, leaning forward so your lips almost touch. He doesn’t pull away from you; instead, his breath quickens. Your own heart is drumming away in your chest.

You press a kiss into his soft lips.

“Mm,” he moans, almost immediately, dropping the shell to cradle the back of your head. You both shift, so you’re sitting closer with his legs around your waist. You’re kneeling in the sand.

Luffy’s lips are soft as sugar, sweet and chapped and practiced. You didn’t know he liked girls, your crush always thrumming in your breastbone whenever he’s around. But he’s good enough at kissing to have done it plenty of times before. You wonder who he’s been kissing, but heat flares in your gut and you push that away for later.

Now, he’s running his strong hand up your ribcage, to softly palm at your breast. He moans, the sound pouring sweet into your mouth. His thumb strokes over your nipple, over the fabric of your swimsuit. He repeats the movement, twice.

“Luuuuffy—,” you whimper, hands scrabbling at his chest. You don’t know where to touch: his tanned shoulders, his muscular biceps, his strong forearms. You reach down for his hands, pressing them both against your cheeks. “I love you,” you whisper, eyes watering as you meet his.

Luffy’s boyish face breaks into a grin. He beams, pecking a kiss onto your cheeks. He peppers your whole face with kisses, nuzzling into your scent. “I love ya too,” he rasps, voice at your ear. He takes the shell of it between his teeth. Then kisses below your jawline. “Always have.”

“I know,” you whisper, eyes fluttered shut. His ministrations are heaven against your skin. You wrap your own arms around his waist, bringing him in closer. He giggles, kissing down your neck as he indulges you. “Me too.”

“Ahh, good,” he strokes your collarbone, thumbing over it gently. He leans the side of his head against your shoulder. His lips move softly against your neck as he speaks. “I thought so, but I didn���t wanna say anything. You’re so shy,” he snickers, “I didn’t wanna scare ya away.”

“Sorry,” you say, shrinking away. Your blush has grown hot on your cheeks.

“Don’t be,” he pulls back to peck at your face again. His eyes crinkle at the edges. He’s so handsome, oh my gosh. You kiss him, again.

And again, and again, and again.

Inside are a tiny pair of mittens in a traditional Latvian pattern, though the colors are in white, and pastels of pink, yellow, and orange like one might typically associate with seashells. There's a tiny pair of matching socks, too, and a little crocheted seagull plush made of the softest yarn he could find. Please ignore that one of the eyes is very kinda wonky. Now, for the actual birthday boy, Raivis has sent over some gingerbread cookies cut into stars and music notes, though a few have cracked on the trip over. There's a homemade bookmark made with high-quality cardstock paper, pressed flowers, watercolors, and in the best writing he could manage, a quote from one of Peter's books. A cord is tied through the bottom and hangs down, woven in threads of black, blue, royal purple, and shimmering gold. There are a few trinkets that he's bought from artist markets while on various business trips, ones that he saved up specifically to send to him. Lastly, there's a DVD with "DAINAS" written in sharpie. Peter said he wanted to see his choir work, but seeing as he's so busy, it might not happen. So, he managed to film a session. Is the footage grainy? Hell yes, but at least the audio is halfway decent and the quality is good enough to see faces. There's a sticky note on the case: I show you my songs, now you need to send me the link to your livestreams! With a little heart next to it. ]

MIRA- so mira’s body type is based on tritons w some embelishments for the Vibe and coloring is based more on water genasis. SO her first name is a genasi name and the last name is more triton like. her appearence was frantically doodled during study hall where she suddenly came to be in my brain. STORY WISE she is an ambassador from the undersea! her family grew up in freshwater, but she left as soon as she could to really see the world and found her calling in the capitol. in title she is an ambassador but prefers to think of herself as more of a field researcher (she has a very light and airy voice w a hint of a southern accent)

KARISSA- karissa is based almost entirely on tieflings. she was doodled during woodshop when she suddenyl sprang to existence in my brain. unfortunately she doesnt look how i wanted her to </3 originally she had a tunic top but it came out too bulky (i still have it tho maybe ill give it to a different doll) and i wanted her to have soe kind of staff or walking stick but i never got around to making it. STORY WISE karissa grew up in a small village raised by the town as a whole with her 2 siblings. she first got a taste for adventure in the small caves found within the forest near her town and left with her older sibling to explore the world, tho she mostly sticks to caves and other abandoned places (her voice is pretty husky without a discernable accent)

2023 Fashion Predictions

Happy 2023! I've seen these trend prediction videos on my TikTok fyp, and they're so fun to see. Many of these trend predictions could just be things the creator wants to incorporate into their personal style. Now let's get into some of my predictions!

Seashells + pearls in accessories

Now, pearls have been having a big moment right now, so I definitely envision seashells being added to the mix to emphasize that iridescent look. I predict we are moving towards a mix between the dark siren aesthetic, and a more venus/aphrodite type of beach style. A mix of elegant and dark, similar to what we saw with balletcore. It'll also be really fun to DIY (I actually made a seashell choker similar to popular heart ribbon chokers going around).

Mix and Match Jewelry

I want to see more gold + silver jewelry, velvet or chord chokers with a long gold necklace, gem necklaces with velvet or silk ribbons, lace ribbons with gold necklaces, etc. It's a fun juxtaposition, especially at a time when people are exploring their style outside of the imaginary "rules of fashion". Mixing metals and fabrics together will be a fun way to play with different tones, textures, and shapes.

Peachy tones

I'm feeling like this will be big spring/summer as the peach tones will complement everyone's sunkissed skin. I can see it being in crochet, ruffled, silk, pleated, and mesh tops often. Style-wise, it could work with both silver and gold accessories. A muted peach that leans more toward nude, would look good with silver jewelry, diamonds, or even pearls. The warmer, more orange-toned peaches would pair nicely with a stack of gold jewelry.

3-D floral details

I know the big floral chokers have started to make their way onto the scene. Because of that, floral pins, necklaces, and straps will be a fun addition to this. This is gonna be another trend that will be easy to customize and DIY because all it takes is some glue or a sewing needle to turn your basic items into a floral statement piece.

Magenta with dark tones

I love magenta clothing, it's so stunning and really draws you in. This year I want to see people play around with the color more, maybe pair it with darker colors and neutrals. I'm talking deep red, black, brown, and silver. Baby pink has been pretty big right now with the ballet core and coquette style, I'm ready for magenta to have a similar moment.

3-D heels/mules

Little charms, butterflies, flowers, etc. right at the top of the shoe is gonna be a fun way to let the shoes be the star of the show. I can see these being the next thing people look for when buying heels secondhand. Either that or people will get crafty and DIY their own little 3-D heel charms.

Play purses

Printed purses with a bunch of embellishments and funky hardware or plain purses with a bunch of keychains and accessories are gonna be a great addition to any simple outfit.

Asymmetrical drapey/tattered hems

Going along with this transition into Venusian kinda beachside mermaid aesthetic, the long hems that kinda look like a tail will make for an interesting silhouette. *Bonus prediction is that green will be a pretty frequent color used in this style*

Face Masks

It goes with every outfit, it keeps your face warm in the winter, and most importantly, it protects you and others from the spread of covid and other illnesses! To me, that sounds like a staple accessory that should not be left behind. I've seen plenty of cute disposable face mask designs, ombre, graphic print, cartoon characters, or just solid colors that complement the rest of your outfits.

In conclusion...

I'm excited to see what I myself and many others will be exploring in this new year. This year everyone is going to continue to have a lot of personalized/customized items (crocheting, sewing, bejeweling, embroidering, etc.)
