Not Me Thoughts

I recently finished watching Not Me and it was a great show!!! The story kept me engaged until the very end. I do wish we got to see more Black and some more closure with his character. Also points off for GramGene because why?? They were not necessary and didn't even have chemistry. Gram had more chemistry with anyone else in the series. Why make him get with Gene? You could just left him single and spent more time focusing on his character or other characters.

Also the chemistry that these characters had with each other was so good. Like the chemistry that Black had with nearly everyone was palpable!!! Like even the chemistry between Yok and Gram at the production place was like hello! Black and Gram which should have been a thing because it's in the novels and it just makes sense. Even ToddBlack, which is just chef's kiss levels of toxic and angst.

Now I just want to applaud the cast, they all acted their asses off. I watched Not Me after I watched The Eclipse so I had seen First turn on the water works non-stop, I am so glad he didn't cry so much in not me because my heart couldn't take it. But First in the hospital scene, I wanted to through that screen and fight Dan. GUN!!! GUN!!! Gun killed it!!! We expect nothing less but the way he was able to embody two different characters and you could tell who was who. Just amazing.

Such a great series, I hope we see more like it because it's nice to see the BL genre branching out and trying to start conversations.
