Can’t believe how insane the last few days have been at Sundance London. I’ve met so many incredible people, made tons of new industry contacts and got to listen to some very talented professionals speak and get advice from them.

Definite highlights have been seeing Kneecap on opening night (which I highly recommend), being in the same room as Lucy Lawless, Michael Fassbender, Sean Wang and Thea Hvistendahl and all of the industry only networking opportunities.

I’m officially wiped out now though but can’t wait to do it all again next year!!!

what do they miss most about canon era🙏

hosea, strauss, molly: camp. the idea of camp, where they're all together constantly and most of the tents don't even have doors. having to learn to respect the modern era understanding of privacy and closed doors was an ordeal. even being able to claim privacy for themselves was an ordeal because they constantly missed that passive closeness of camp

sean, karen, jenny, grimshaw, micah, davey, isaac*: the lawlessness. actually being outlaws. being cult heroes, doing what they want when they want, the dangerousness and self-confidence they had in relying on themselves and their instincts for survival and the adrenaline of being criminals

john, eliza, abigail, jack, uncle, jake, bessie: their homes. standing on a porch and looking over open land and dotted trees that was their own and where once upon a time they felt safe. they may have their modern era homes but a tiny lot in the suburbs does little to capture the scale of accomplishment and peace of their ranch/cottage

arthur, kieran, mac: horses. the smell, the sight, the quiet, the repetition of caring for an animal that shared an emotional bond. one creature you could rely on as much as they relied on you. kieran may consume horse content on the daily but if he actually sits down and thinks about how much he misses even just the sight of horses on the street he will cry.

javier, sadie, charles, annabelle, dutch, bill, lenny: the (romanticized) freedom of the 19th century. the true independence of being able to be self-sufficient, riding a horse for days, weeks, months only to end up somewhere where you could completely reinvent yourself without the past catching you unless you made the mistake of letting it back in

*isaac feels like he was robbed of the chance to experience the level of self-assuredness of being an outlaw and surviving. but otherwise he is very happy in modern era

ADRIEN AGRESTE - THE PROTAGONIST | ENFJ-A
