extremely true tags from deep in the notes. I was dying to know more about this whole thing, so I looked it up and the whole saga is wild.
The guy in this clip, Sean Dolan, went to a school board meeting to say they weren't doing enough to prevent student bullying. He was brushed off by the superintendent, Lance Hindt, so a man named Greg who had gone to Jr High with Hindt showed up at another meeting to accuse Hindt of being a bully himself, including mocking him for his last name ('Gay') and physically assaulting him in a bathroom, which almost caused his suicide. Hindt laughed after he finished speaking at this meeting, which went viral and led to even more people to come forward to corroborate the claims, including one saying he had witnessed the specific bathroom incident, and others ‐ including a former classmate and now judge in Alabama - saying he had been a known vicious bully. There were even court documents surfaced from a lawsuit in which he was as a young adult accused of having beaten a man into a coma. (that case unrelated to the classmate-turned-judge)
All of this was, of course, followed by months of parents and students petitioning for Hindt to be fired, and others petitioning for him to NOT be fired. There were even teachers who held rallies in support of him. (Based on op eds, open letters, and old facebooks posts, it seems that a fair amount of this was actually in part spillover caused by the harassment used on both sides, including a fear of retaliation from both vocal opponents of the school district - like Sean and his friends/followers/allies - and the district itself.) Regardless, the school board backed Hindt and refused to do anything.
Sean then brought forth the plagiarism accusations, which must have been the final nail in the coffin. The school board obviously still took Hindt's side, but Hindt resigned, and the school board gave him a massive payout AND agreed to pay for a defamation lawsuit. (That part is especially wild - remember this is coming from taxpayer dollars, the same taxpayers who had forced him to resign. The state cut the district's budget the next year as a consequence of this gross misuse of funds. Worth noting that there was never any lawsuit filed, as far as i can tell.)
The University of Houston didnt do anything about the accusations until the actual national association of scholars officially demanded they investigate and revoke his doctorate - the University won't say whether they actually revoked the degree bc of privacy laws, but they did take down his dissertation, which they pretty much only do in cases of some kind of fraud.
so anyway, wild stuff.

Macabre Month 7 Part IV: Lost Boys: The Thirst (2010)
In today's review, I still believe in one last ride for The Frog Brothers. As I attempt a #positive review of the 2010 vampire-filled finale Lost Boys: The Tribe #CoreyFeldman #CaseyBDolan #TanitPhoenix #JamisonNewlander #SebCastang #FelixMosse
When is it time to move on? Admit the cause you’ve dedicated your life to isn’t panning out, and at this point, it is a sunk cost fallacy to continue that the fight will never be won. What if the consequences were so dire that you couldn’t give up, even if it would solve all your problems? In 2010, The Frog Brothers had one last chance to put the stake to some vampiric ravers in Lost Boys: The…

Undying Avengers Issue 3: Breadcrumb Trail by Conner Thrakaboom and Gene @avengerphobic
Tumblr media
“If whoever this Fairy Queen is had access to Otherworld, why would she use Thelius? Why not some magic beast?” Jackie asks, shrugging. “We don’t have anything to combat magic, really. Even the Ebony Blade is kinda shit at it.”
From behind her, the ghost of Sir Percy appears just to glower at Jackie’s affront to the Blade. Faiza blinks at the sight of the specter. (Dane and Jackie, the only others who can see him, routinely ignore him).
“I’m sorry. Who are you again?” Monica asks, her voice dripping with annoyance at this nobody shutting down their only lead. She turns to point at Dane with a frown on her beautiful features. “The last time you gave some random kid your sword he got possessed, grew a hundred feet tall, and started eating souls.”
The ghost of Sir Percy shakes in anger at Monica’s flippant remark before he dissipates.
Dane’s face falls as he remembers Sean Dolan. Jackie can’t end up like Sean, he thinks. Of course, Jackie had the blood ties that Sean had lacked, but… He can’t allow it.
“Jacks is my daughter,” Dane says, sheepish at the fact he hadn’t been able to bring it up before.

There is a big duel, and during it Blood Wraith pretty much makes a fool of Dane.. but since everyone gets back up, they instead decide to just... let him go.. and there is no way this will come back to haunt them all. Also, Blood Wraith steals Dane's horse for good measure.

Eleanor M. Dolan
Tumblr media
Eleanor M. Dolan, 90, of 41 Fairway Drive, Exeter, died in the tender loving care of her devoted family on Monday evening, November 11th at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital after a devastating stroke in February.
Eleanor was born in Elmhurst, N.Y., the daughter of the late William and Loretta “Etsey” Kelly and was a graduate of P.S. 89 Bayside High School and Hunter College in Manhattan, N.Y., with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and History. Upon graduation, she taught grade school in NYC, and subsequently married Michael J. Dolan in July 1956, at which time she began growing her family. Both her families, at home and in the classroom, were the greatest devotion and joy of her happy life.
After having her six children, Eleanor went back to the field she loved, demonstrating unwavering dedication for over 25 years, mentoring young minds with love and kindness towards all the children and parents of the Holy Name and Regis Elementary community. The capability and grace with which Eleanor managed her large family and a more than full-time teaching career is a source of wonderment for those of us who were lucky enough to see and feel her beautiful enthusiasm at work. Eleanor was a exceptional Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Teacher, Friend, Neighbor, and Soulmate to so many. There are no expressions that can truly reflect the impact of Eleanors love and how deeply her presence will be missed.
Preceding her in death were her devoted husband of 45 years, Michael J. Dolan; her dear sister Joan Wilke and brother-in-law Victor, her brother Robert Kelly, her brother-in-law William Hooper and her brother in law Joseph Dolan and sister in law Peggy Dolan. Also, her companion Nala "Black Crow Nose".
Surviving are her adoring sister, Loretta Hooper of upstate N.Y., and her adoring family; her daughter, Patricia and David Reynolds of Forty-Fort, her son, Michael J. and Lynn Dolan of West Wyoming, her daughter Nancy Dolan and Lawrence Dellegrotto of Exeter, with whom she resided, her son John and Maureen Dolan of Kingston, her son Joseph and Tammy Dolan of Wilkes-Barre, her son Thomas and Kathleen Dolan of Dallas, Grandchildren; Ian, Darren, Kalleigh, Michael, Connor, Dylan, Casey, Alexander, Keaton, Donald, McKenna, Matthew, Sean, Daniel, Christopher, Brittni and Great Grandchildren; Lillian, Bennett, Monte, Ridley, that she cherishes and will carry her light forward, as well as, sister-in-law, Fran Kelly.
A celebration of Eleanor’s wonder filled life will be held Monday at 10:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Swoyersville. The interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kingston Township. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at the Hugh B. Hughes Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Institute of Neurological Disorders & Stroke (NINDS), P.O. Box 5801, Bethesda, MD  20824, Local SPCA, or Geisinger Health Foundation to acknowledge her wonderful caregivers.
