Well, scientifically speaking, seahorses are known to mate with their life partners on nights of the full moon. Reader was written as gender neutral so at the very least they're getting very lovingly yet thoroughly dicked down 👀 depending on what I decide for fantasy mer biology though I dunno, maybe lil deku will want a clutch of babies eventually (though i like to think that he wants to wait a while, and that's not even touching on who would be the one to carry them)
