Summer Musings 2021 iPhoneXR Hipstamatic Photography Original Photographers Photographers On Tumblr Lowy Lens, Maximus LXIX Film, No Flash

Happy 10th Birthday to my Capio Lumen Tumblr blog. I have been posting a snapshot taken with various iPhones models equipped with the @Hipstamatic app every day for the last 10 years without missing a day. Some days I must have posted more than one image because my stats claim that I have 5757 posts.

I am very proud of this "never missing a day for 10 years accomplishment." I have never seen my self as a photographer rather as an 2D artist looking for compositions using the speed of light. Or as a normal “joe” sharing, daily, what I have interesting around me.

Now that I have achieved the ten-year mark of perfect attendance I soon may take a vacation from these daily Tumblr postings. Quite honestly, I think I deserve it.

I owe big graduate of thanks to those of you who spend some time each day/weekly reviewing my post. You should know that each and everyone your posts are inspirational to me, and I look forward daily to seeing what you come up with next. Summer 2020 iPhoneXR Hipstamatic Photography Original Photographers Photographers On Tumblr Jane Lens, DreamCanvas Film, No Flash 

Nine years ago today I posted six snapshots on Tumblr for the first time. These snapshots were photographed using an iPhone in combination with Hipstamatic app. In the past nine years of posting snapshots I have never missed a day putting an image up on Tumblr. All the images have been snapped using the same combination of iPhone with the Hipstamatic app. 

The image I posted nine years ago where very similar to today’s posting, a mundane/everyday image documenting what I found visually interesting with the past few days. Nothing spectacular, just boring stuff that documents what life around here is made of. As I approached this nine year mild stone I started asking myself what and why I was still putting images up on social media at my age. I have come to the realization that posting daily has provide me with a great vehicle for viewing and most importantly enjoying and being inspired by other artist work.  

It’s well past time that I acknowledge and thank those of you whose creativity inspires me to keeping posting on a daily bases.

So can I do ten years with missing a post? Well I honestly don’t think so. I am 69 and 10/12. With COVID tearing everyone’s life apart I find increasingly difficult to venture out of my house. When I do venture out it’s to my daughter’s house a few blocks away. I now drive over as opposed to walking the short distance and taking snapshots as go. I live in the city of Orange which is in Orange County. This area is the center of Southern California. If you read the news you recognize the Southern California/Orange County is a major COVID hot spot right now.  Bottom line it’s not safe for and old person like me to be out and about thanking snapshots. 

I have a few images in the queue and after they are posted we will have to see how it goes...Thank You Michael
