Was NOT expecting to come across bc in the naruto blog I've followed forever I'm crying... aaaaand now realizing that the 'ayesha liveblogs xyz' should have been a giveaway lmao. anyway feel free to ignore if this is intrusive but I get so unreasonably happy whenever I come across another south asian on the World Wide Web <3

Hahaha, I'm glad you enjoyed that joke, I knew it was very niche commentary!! Also, if you're on the fence about Spy x Family, my vote is yes. It was a breath of fresh air for me!

And in complete fairness to not seeing the South Asianness right away, I know the name Ayesha has travelled across sooooo many cultures LOL, and a good portion of people do call me Gohan too. But yes, I am Indian! Not intrusive at all. <3 I also love seeing other South Asians in anime spaces, too. (And honestly Black and brown anime fans in general, partly because a lot of fandom spaces do feel really segregated, for want of a better term, and I love to have a community of mutual experience.)

I was rereading Place at the Table and I almost snorted out water when I got to the part where Raidou asks Genma if he's got a giant healing tiger stashed somewhere. Talk about foreshadowing SHEESH. And the discussion of Orochimaru's seal in this chapter now has me side-eyeing it real hard considering what we know of Kakashi's situation up till now. Can't wait to see what's going to happen next!

Saunter sprung the giant (biting) tiger on us as a surprise and we were YELLING in the writing chat, so I don't know if the query about the giant healing tiger in Place at the Table counts as foreshadowing (three and a half years in the making!) or as just, We really like tiger jokes. But maybe Saunter's been playing the long game all this time...

(We still quote "Let's be tigers" to each other, whenever we need a battle-cheer.)

And we're hard at work on the implications of Orochimaru's seal. We've got a couple of complex chapters in the works right now, so the wait may be a little longer, but I promise they'll be worth it!
