Hi I was wondering if you had any sea based horror recs.
Hi Anon,
While we have a few rec lists for Horror, we didn't find many for Sea-based ones:
Bycatch by VOWTogether
The Edge of Dawn by @elysianfiction
No Demo:
Let Me Drown by @letmedrown-if
Waterbound by Waterbound-Interactive

Will all of you excuse me a moment if I interrupt my dinosaur hype to show off this cutie pie of a werefish/deep one? His name is "Lotto", and he is the monster form of my human OC Vincent in a casual Call of the Sea AU I share with a dear old friend x)

Ok so like I had an idea and I rly needed to draw it out once it popped into my head.
What if Black Pearl Cookie wasn’t the only one cursed when Oyster Cookie’s ancestor betrayed her? What if unfortunate things occurred to all those involved?
Despite the immense wealth of House Oyster, its heirs have always been known to pass on quite young at sea. Some more superstitious saltwater cookies have claimed this is their curse from mermaids of long ago, and they aren’t far from the truth. However the reasons are far worse than assumed.
Those who share their doughline with that original ancestor are doomed to become monsters over time, losing themselves to the monstrous greed of long ago. Most are given merciful ends by those of their House, but there were some who dove into the sea as their cursed finalized.
These cookies can hold the change back through sheer force of will but it only delays the inevitable.
The change always happens.
Despite knowledge of the curse being clear within the House, all mentions outside are forbidden to maintain its image. Of course, the source of the curse has become nothing more than legend and story.
Though there are many that still wish to break this centuries long torment.

The more I think about the rhetoric and way current Christians practise their religion. The more it becomes apparent that most of them do not even know the god they claim to worship.

Catty mean tabletop talk about a particular space horror darling /
The recent negative review of Mothership going around is such a good thing. Dwiz is braver than any marine, and still had to regularly insist that he had fun!! Really!! Promise!! I’m anxious for this 5 year old honeymoon period to wear off so people can actually critique the damn game
The ttrpg scene - especially the osr/nsr scene - gets so fixated on darlings that anyone with an opinion that isn’t 100% dicksucking praise is deemed an idiot moron who doesn’t know shit and it’s so childish!
And Mothership has had the scene by the throat for years now. Back in 2020 i decided not to back the KS because “it’ll be out next year I’ll get it then.” Lol. Lmao.
It’s been tiresome to see a mediocre ruleset hailed as some divine gift. A good GM can make an underwhelming game interesting, good players can, modules can. I’ve never felt this applies so much as to the Panic Engine and MoSh specifically. People really will get distracted by pretty design, neat setting bits, and interesting supplements and think the game itself is good for it
