The Role of Import and Export Companies in Global Supply Chains
In today’s interconnected world, the seamless movement of goods across borders is critical to the functioning of global supply chains. Import and export companies play a pivotal role in this complex network, ensuring that products reach their destinations efficiently and reliably. Entail Global, a leading import and export company in India, exemplifies the essential functions these companies perform. This article explores the role of import and export companies in global supply chains, highlighting the contributions of top exporters in India and the services provided by export agencies in India.

Understanding Global Supply Chains
Global supply chains involve the production, transportation, and distribution of goods and services across multiple countries. These chains are complex and multifaceted, involving numerous stakeholders, including manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, and import and export companies. The efficiency and reliability of these supply chains are crucial for businesses to meet market demands and maintain competitiveness.
The Role of Import and Export Companies
Import and export companies serve as intermediaries between domestic producers and international markets. They facilitate the movement of goods across borders, handling various aspects of trade, including compliance with regulations, documentation, and logistics. Here is a closer look at their key roles:
1. Market Access and Expansion
Import and export companies help businesses expand their reach to international markets. By leveraging their expertise in foreign markets, these companies enable businesses to identify and exploit new opportunities, thereby increasing their market share and revenue. For example, a top exporter in India like Entail Global provides invaluable insights into market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes in various countries.
2. Regulatory Compliance
Navigating the regulatory landscape of international trade can be challenging due to varying rules and standards in different countries. Import and export companies ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs requirements, tariffs, and trade agreements. This reduces the risk of delays, penalties, and legal issues. As a leading export agency in India, Entail Global stays abreast of the latest regulatory changes, ensuring smooth and compliant transactions for their clients.
3. Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Efficient logistics and supply chain management are critical to the success of international trade. Import and export companies coordinate the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods, optimizing routes and schedules to minimize costs and delivery times. Entail Global’s expertise in logistics ensures that goods are moved efficiently, reducing the risk of disruptions and delays.
4. Risk Management
International trade involves various risks, including political instability, currency fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions. Import and export companies help mitigate these risks through strategic planning and risk management practices. They provide valuable advice on hedging strategies, insurance options, and contingency plans, ensuring that businesses are well-prepared for potential challenges.
5. Documentation and Paperwork
The documentation required for international trade can be extensive and complex, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and more. Import and export companies handle all necessary paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international standards. This streamlines the process and reduces the administrative burden on businesses.
The Impact of Import and Export Companies on the Economy
Import and export companies significantly contribute to the economic growth and development of their home countries. Here is how:
1. Job Creation
The activities of import and export companies generate employment opportunities across various sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, and services. This job creation boosts the economy by increasing income levels and consumer spending.
2. Foreign Exchange Earnings
Export activities bring in valuable foreign exchange, strengthening the country’s currency reserves and improving its balance of trade. Top exporters in India, such as Entail Global, play a crucial role in generating foreign exchange earnings through their international trade operations.
3. Technological and Knowledge Transfer
International trade facilitates the transfer of technology and knowledge between countries. Import and export companies help domestic businesses access advanced technologies, best practices, and innovative solutions from around the world, enhancing their productivity and competitiveness.
4. Economic Diversification
By opening up new markets for domestic products, import and export companies contribute to economic diversification. This reduces reliance on a single market or industry, enhancing the resilience of the economy to external shocks.

Complex Documentation Requirements
One of the most significant challenges in sea export clearance is managing the extensive documentation required. Solution: Experienced Sea Export Clearance Services Providers ensure that all necessary documents are prepared accurately and submitted on time. Their expertise minimizes the risk of errors, ensuring a smooth clearance process.
Customs Compliance and Regulations

Solution: Custom Clearing Services Providers stay abreast of the latest customs regulations globally. They guide exporters through complex compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all legal norms and avoiding potential pitfalls
Cargo Inspection Delays
Cargo inspections are mandatory for many shipments to verify that the goods comply with safety, health, and quality standards. Delays in inspections can disrupt the entire supply chain.
Solution: Reliable Cargo Clearance Services Providers facilitate prompt inspections by coordinating with relevant authorities. Their established relationships with customs officials often expedite the inspection process.
Tariffs and Duties Calculation
Incorrect calculation of tariffs and duties can lead to unexpected costs and disputes with customs authorities.
Solution: Sea Export Clearance Services Providers offer accurate tariff and duty assessments. Their in-depth knowledge ensures that exporters pay the correct amount, avoiding financial discrepancies.

Unforeseen Delays
Delays due to weather conditions, port congestion, or geopolitical issues are common in sea exports.
Solution: Cargo Clearance Services Providers offer proactive solutions such as rerouting shipments or expediting clearances to mitigate delays.
Communication Gaps
Lack of proper communication between exporters, customs authorities, and logistics providers can lead to misunderstandings and delays.
Solution: Efficient Custom Clearing Services Providers ensure clear and continuous communication between all parties involved, keeping exporters informed at every step.
Technological Challenges
Adopting and integrating advanced technologies for tracking, documentation, and compliance can be challenging for exporters.
Solution: Leading Sea Export Clearance Services Providers leverage modern technology to provide real-time tracking, automated documentation, and efficient customs clearance solutions.

How are the more recent Dracula castings affecting the movie?
When we last left off, Jimmy Stewart (Jonathan) had just beheld Mary Philbin (the agonized woman) getting eaten by wolves. (this being a vintage film we do not actually see her get eaten. we are given a haunting image that subtly conveys her getting eaten which is somehow ten times worse). He stares, shocked and bereft, out his lonely black-and-white window in Castle Dracula. The movie has gotten very solemn and a little bit artistic.
SMASH CUT to Omar Sharif (!!) and Leonard Nimoy (?????) on board the Demeter! Omar Sharif makes total sense for this role and is conveying responsibility, stoicism, nobility. Leonard Nimoy is thanking god and his agent that he finally got onto a film that doesn't have him in the pointy ears. (he is still contractually obligated to call the strange cargo they have on board "fascinating.")
Back in England, our heroines Setsuko Hara (Mina Murray) and Judy Garland (Lucy Westenra) are sitting by the seaside cemetery, enjoying the ramblings of old seaman Mr. Swales. because Mr. Swales is played by Ed Wynn, this is less "crusty old sea man giving bram stoker's idea of a British dialect" and more "the movie is suddenly produced by Disney in the 1960s and everyone is having a GRAND time because this man is Silly™." his various tales of suicides, deaths at sea, child abuse, and familial hatred are all suddenly very harmless and cute and Setsuko Hara is wondering where all the Technicolor came from.
Back in Hell on the Demeter, the movie is sliding back into black and white as the fog gets thick and the crew is picked off one by one. Omar Sharif is shooting for an Oscar with this one. He is terrified stoicism personified. Leonard Nimoy has hit his stride and is doing that brand of feverish madness the amok time fans know so well. We catch a shot or two of Gloria Holden's Count, but she is mostly veiled in mystery.
In Whitby, a plucky reporter sees a ship coming in: Ethel Waters is on the case! You know if anybody is going to book it on to a ship with a corpse tied to it (rip Omar) with 0 issues, it's going to be her. She's after a story, by god, never mind that mysterious dog!
Speaking of that mysterious dog, it's headed up the hill toward the cemetery. Boy, I hope it doesn't run into Mr. Swales. Seeing an Ed Wynn character get killed off in gruesome fashion this early in the movie would be a pretty horrifying tonal switch! I'm sure he'll be fine though, the movie seems so lighthearted and comedic now :)
#in my mind. solely in my mind. 50s-era buster keaton is mr. swales' silent friend who never says anything but is just there.#i like the idea of him staring out to sea...a tracking shot that moves from his eyes to the distant ship careening across the horizon....#while ed wynn continues to ramble about toast in the background.......#asks#dracula casting

- LP SHUSH AGENT AU -
Here’s some more doodles first

Okay so these are some pretty old concepts but I’ll include them for growth purposes.
Here we have LP visiting the boys in the last image over Christmas, as his “promotion” from Scrooge to fly cargo from essentially every McDuck enterprise (meaning he’s across seas most of the time) and hasn’t seen the fam in awhile. This is them discovering he has a new little gadget attached to his arm.
In the AU, LP doesn’t want the duck family to know anything about the SHUSH deal, so he has a small cover story mentioned earlier.
A lot of time passes throughout the training LP experiences, and his goofy aloof demeanor starts to dissipate. How sad.

My brain last night was trying to dream about watching the movie Jaws with my beloved, but I have never actually seen the movie Jaws so the "footage from the movie" my brain conjured up concerned the titular creature "Jaws", a bizarre undersea millipede-like creature with a shark's head (This was a false head to deter predators when it wasn't hunting.)
It had a thick carapace lined with small venomous spikes that held an insanely powerful numbing agent. "Jaws" was roughly the size of a small dog (initially, though was still noticeably longer) and covered in small gnashing teeth alongside nearly the entirety of the creature's underside. When it needed to hunt, "Jaws" would bury itself in the sand of shallow lakes, waiting for a human to step too close. Once they did step too close, the human's leg would be rendendered fully numb by the creature's venom and "Jaws" would latch onto and wrap around the leg, using both its teeth and its apparently sharp legs(?) to gruesomely rip and tear the numbed flesh down to the bone, before quickly leaving the unfortunate human and scuttling the fuck off into the sea to apparently molt into something roughly double its size. By the end of the movie it had grown to the point it was wrapping around and attempting to devour entire cargo ships.
I don't know what the FUCK creature that was, but even I know that sure as shit wasn't Jaws
#also worth noting is that I guess my brain was super super excited about this monster premise#because I only got to watch it hunt like twice#once on the beach and once in a Stock Horror Movie White Guy's house#before my brain got too excited about weird creature and fully abandoned its own premise and became Laios Dungeonmeshi infodumping about it#the cargo ship thing even looked like it was a still shot ripped straight from the anime#truly the dream ever lol#pun's text posts#Pun talks Dreams#''Jaws''

Mark Grayson/Invincible x Yui Komori lectora(TRADUCCION)
Género: Headcanons
Lector: femenino
especialmente no ELLA.
TIPO????WHAT THE FUCK???

----------
The Draigo archives was a majestic building, second only to the Council chambers with its detailed stone pillars and intricately carved architecture composed of both wood and stone. Rift mentally calculated the cost of the construction as he entered through the massive double doors made of thick, dark wood inlaid with reliefs.
This building alone was worth almost as much as the entire city of Valdove, by his estimation. The Draigo could certainly afford to miss one of their fancy little gemstones. Even if it was supposedly rarer than a kind-hearted magician.
Rift chuckled to himself at the analogy as he surveyed the archives. Shelves upon shelves packed near to bursting with books and tomes and scrolls sprawled before him, a nearly endless maze of knowledge. Artifacts rested on open display on wood and stone pedestals scattered throughout the archives, not even a barrier of glass between them and potential onlookers.
It was almost too easy.
Almost.
He had to find the damned gem first.
His employer had given him a detailed description of the specific gemstone he wanted stolen. Notably, it didn’t even appear to be a gemstone at all, but rather a pretty shard of opaque sea glass, yellowish orange in color. Of course, his mysterious employer had refused to clarify, so Rift was left to wonder why in the depths it was so valuable.
Rift was unlikely to find out even after he delivered the cargo, so he put the thought out of his mind and entered the archives proper, casually strolling through the standing bookcases and pretending to read the titles printed neatly on some of the spines. He subtly scanned each artifact display that he passed, seeking a gemstone that matched the description.
He was so engrossed in his search that he nearly ran into the Draigo woman before noticing her. “Oh!” he exclaimed, grabbing her arm to stabilize her as she stumbled back in shock and nearly fell into one of the nearby bookcases, “my deepest apologies, madam! I was so captivated browsing the tomes that I didn’t see you there.”
“Thank you,” she said quietly, tucking a lock of curly red hair behind her ear, “I must apologize as well. I assumed we wouldn’t have any visitors until after the meeting ended and Miss Sorro returned.”
“Of course,” Rift agreed, chuckling softly, “I would be at the meeting as well, except I have only just arrived from a long journey.” He lowered his voice conspiratorially. “If I may be completely honest, the last thing I want after my journey is to sit in a crowded meeting hall listening to a bunch of stuffy officials talk in circles.”
The woman smiled at that. “The only reason I’m not there myself is because Miss Sorro—Skylyn, the head archivist—is attending on behalf of the archives and there always has to be an archivist here.” She shrugged. “Everyone volunteered, but she chose me.”
“If she’s the one in charge of this wonderful place, I certainly trust her judgment.” Rift gave a slight bow. “My name’s Theodoric Graves, and I am an agent from the far east stronghold.”
“From across the ocean?”
“The very same. I’d always heard wonderful things about this archive, so I decided to visit while waiting for the meeting to end. And you are…?”
“Oh!” The woman blushed. “My apologies. I’m Amari Kieran, acting head archivist. What sort of business brings you from so far away?”
Rift shook his head. “Unfortunately, that information is classified.”
“Oh… of course, that is to be expected. Apologies for prying, my curiosity got the better of me.”
He shifted from one foot to the other, nervousness curling in his stomach. How much longer was the Council meeting going to last? “Say… I’ve heard many things about the artifacts displayed here, and I’m very curious about some of them. Why don’t you show me around the archives for a little while, until the meeting ends?”
“Oh!” Amari brightened. “I don’t think the meeting will last for much longer, so how about I start with my personal favorites and we go from there?”
“Sounds perfect.”
“Okay!” She spun around and started walking, not even checking to make sure he was following behind her. Rift almost had to run to keep up, her pace was brutal.
The first artifact display they stopped at was a stone mask, carved with intricate symbols that Rift recognized to be runes. “This one here,” Amari began, “belonged to one of the Cardinal Points, the magician of the south herself. The runes are incredibly complex, and….”
Rift tuned out most of her words, pretending to nod and listen while keeping an eye out for the gem. He’d already clocked most of the items he saw as objects of immense power or historical significance, sometimes both, setting them at hundreds of millions worth of gold each for the right buyer. Shame he was only here for one item….
Amari finished whatever she was saying about the mask and moved on, walking just as quickly to the next artifact, this one several rows of bookcases deep into the archives. “This gauntlet is composed of a metal rumored to grant its wielder strength equal to that of ten sang.”
Rift blinked in shock that wasn’t completely feigned. “I… what? Ten sang? From a glove?!”
Amari nodded earnestly, smiling at his surprise. “Indeed! No other artifact has been found across all four strongholds that matches its worth. Of course, we can’t have something like that out in the world to be used for evil purposes. Its first documented appearance was in the year….”
His stomach churned as his eyes darted around the archive. Why was he so nervous all of a sudden? No one else was around but Amari, and she had no intention of harming him, no knowledge of what he planned to do.
So why did he feel like he was being watched by unfriendly eyes?
Amari moved on again so suddenly he almost didn’t notice her departure, swiftly vanishing ever deeper among the maze of knowledge and danger. When he reached the display she stopped at, his mouth almost dropped.
There, draped on a smooth chunk of stone, was the gemstone he sought. It truly did appear to be made of sea glass, yellowish orange in hue. The gem was attached to a thin chain of dark metal and didn’t look anything more than a pretty necklace. But Rift’s employer wanted it, so that was what Rift was going to steal.
“What’s this?” He finally said, shoving down his excitement.
“It doesn’t appear like much, does it?” Amari asked, noting the look on his face. What she thought of it, he couldn’t guess, her expression of excitement remained unchanged.
“No, it doesn’t.”
“Then why do you want it so badly?”
Rift blinked. “I’m sorry, what?”
Amari’s expression was now cold as ice. “You came here searching for something. Something to steal from the archives, while everyone else is busy at the Council meeting. You deceived everyone you came across, and you attempted to deceive me. Explain yourself, and perhaps I may let you live.”
Rift forced out a laugh. “I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about, Amari. This is ridiculous.”
“You’re right. It is ridiculous.” Her eyes narrowed. “Ridiculous how a common thief such as yourself thinks he can just waltz into the archives and take what he wants!”
“A common thief!” Rift exclaimed, heart pounding in his ears. “Quite the accusation.”
Amari’s eyes darkened, and this time when she spoke, a lick of flame darted from her lips. It winked out immediately. “You continue to lie to me. You had your chance.”
Before Rift could ask what she was talking about, she snapped her fingers. The sound echoed eerily throughout the archive, bouncing off the stone walls and floor. For a long moment, nothing happened. He wondered if she was bluffing.
And then he was tackled from behind.
Rift cried out as sharp talons dug into his left shoulder, slicing through skin and muscle and sinew and scraping against bone. Pain coursed across his nervous system as his arm went numb and the claws that wounded him began to lift him off his feet and into the air.
White light streaked across his vision as he screamed, fire flowing through his veins, burning in his shoulder and at his right side.
Wait. His side? That was where… where….
Rift slowly reached into his pocket, his fingers closing around the strange object given to him by his employer. It was hot to the touch, like it had been left in a flame for too long. Why was it burning…?
Oh.
Oh!
Rift slowly, the movement sending more pain through his shoulder, more white light through his vision, ever so slowly, withdrew the object from his pocket and, before he could second-guess himself, flicked it behind him, at whatever creature was holding him in place.
No sooner had the object left his hand before an explosion rocked the archive. Rift was flung out of the grasp of the creature and slammed bodily into the stone pedestal, ears ringing, the scent of singed something filling his nose.
He groaned, shoulder throbbing, head pounding, the taste of heat and ash in his mouth as he opened his eyes to find himself surrounded by fire. Starving, ravenous fire that surged towards the bookcases, hungrily devouring the tomes and scrolls that rested on their shelves. Amari was nowhere in sight.
Rift quickly got to his feet, gritting his teeth as his head spun, and frantically searched for the gemstone. His eyes finally found it, lying on the ground a few feet away. He scooped it up and shoved it into his pocket before immediately taking off at a sprint despite how his body screamed at him to stop, to bandage his wounds, to do something other than run.
But if he didn’t get out now, he would never leave.
Either the fire got him, or the Draigo did.
He passed by the gauntlet on his way out and snatched it from its pedestal. “What were you thinking?” He cursed himself as he altered his course and grabbed the mask as well. “You’re just asking to get yourself hunted down!”
He was dead either way.
Disguise or no, he didn’t believe Amari wouldn’t track him down with whatever abomination from the depths she’d used to catch him. Which was why he needed to get as far away as possible with his prizes before the Draigo regrouped.
He’d blown up the Draigo stronghold.
Celestials.
He was so fucked.

All the Stronger
Tragen and Jaesa reunion/confession fic, only five(?) years after Jedi Under Siege dropped. They saw Unmasked and wanted their own version. :P ----
There was something different about this building.
Tragen felt it the second he stepped inside. Not bad different, not wrong like it was a trap. It felt familiar and half forgotten, a connection trying to reestablish just on the edge of his senses.
He was so focused on trying to figure it out, Anri clocked the shadowy figure ahead first. Her rifle came up in the same moment the figure stepped forward, igniting her lightsaber. The yellow glow illuminated her face, the snap-hiss dragging his attention back.
And the pieces clicked into place.
"Jaesa."
There wasn't enough air in his lungs, in the room.
He felt her shock at his presence. The rush of their Force bond reestablishing its full strength was like getting hit by an open-throttle cargo loader.
"You... You're here." Her voice was quiet, stunned as he felt. Her lightsaber switched off, hanging limp. "How...?"
A sea of emotion churned between them, their bond surging with glimpses of what she'd been through; melancholy, grief, loss, brilliantly hot relief.
It was all he could do not to sweep her up in a hug and never let go. Tragen cleared his throat, turning to speak over his shoulder. "Major, could you give me a minute?"
"Yeah, sure," Anri muttered, casting a curious look at Jaesa. "It's your business. I'll just go look out for... other Jedi."
He studied Jaesa's face as the major took her leave. She looked almost, achingly, the same, save faint care lines and a haunted look in her deep brown eyes. Their years apart hadn't been kind to her, it seemed. It made the urge to hug her all the stronger. She was his friend, even aside from certain revelations he'd had.
Just because you thought you lost your chance is no excuse to overwhelm her. Tragen clasped his hands behind his back to restrain himself and follow her lead on this.
Jaesa waited until Anri was gone before looking at him, eyes brimming with emotion. "Where were you, Tragen?" she asked, voice thick and little more than a whisper in the empty quiet. "I couldn't feel you, you were just gone, like an aching hollow carved into my chest. Not dead, just nothing, and I-I... where were you?"
He couldn't do it. Couldn't leave her hurting. Tragen pulled her into a hug, holding her close and trying to keep his voice steady as she melted into him. "Carbonite," he said, an apologetic lilt to the word. "For five years."
Jaesa drew a shaky breath. "Are you alright?" She stepped back to look at him. "...No wonder you look the same."
So do you. Mostly. "I am, yes." His hands didn't want to slide off her arms, rebelled at losing contact, but he let them fall. "And what of you, Jaesa? What have you been doing?"
"Running," she said with a mirthless smile, words unsteady. "Hiding. Adrift after.. after losing you. And any other allies soon after, to the war if nothing else." Her gaze dropped. "I was deceived by a false light-leaning Sith and spent a year fleeing assassins and Sith agents."
"Jaesa..." Tragen shifted, one hand returning to her arm in comfort.
She shook her head. "It was my fault. I was so desperate for... help, for connection, I wasn't careful. And it was during that time running through the Outer Rim I heard of Master Gnost-Dural, so it worked out." She leaned into his touch, all the same.
"And that's how you ended up here?" he asked.
Jaesa nodded. "Master Gnost-Dural is fascinated by Sith history and philosophy; he wants to learn enough to strive for balance." Her lips curved in a weak, wry smile as she looked up at him. "I offered to trade what I knew from traveling with a Sith for sanctuary. He agreed. He even... offered to oversee my rejoining the Jedi Order."
Tragen arched a brow. "Is that what you want?"
"I thought I did," Jaesa said softly. She shrugged and hugged her arms close. "I didn't know where else to go. But if you're... back..." She exhaled a disbelieving laugh. "And this is far more ordinary than I ever imagined it to happen, by the way-"
It made something squeeze in Tragen's chest that she, too, had dwelt on such a miracle occurring.
"-I want to rejoin you, fight at your side again, even if it means fighting alongside Imperials as well--"
"It doesn't." Stars above, it was hard to keep his tone neutral, between elation at her return and triumph at his next words, but you never knew who was listening. "I am no longer Imperial."
Jaesa's gaze snapped to his face, her happiness for him rushing through their bond. She of all people knew what that meant to him. "No?"
Tragen shook his head. "No." A small smile slipped through; her joy was all the stronger and more infectious thanks to their separation. "I lead an Alliance, comprised of Force users and other specialists from Republic, Empire, and beyond, even. People who realized the freedom and safety of the galaxy is paramount over any other disputes."
Her eyes brightened even further, if possible. "So... you found a way to unite Jedi and Sith? You did it?" She took his hands and squeezed them. "If anyone could do it, it would be you."
"I appreciate the confidence," Tragen chuckled. He squeezed her hands back and forcibly tamped down the rest of what he wanted to say, spinning hot in his chest. Oh, I missed the way you light up when you smile, I missed you, I love you and feel like a fool it took a galactic war and seven years apart for me to realize-
"Of course," Jaesa said, snapping him out of his thoughts. "You've a gift for persuading people, Tragen." She squeezed his hand once more and let go. He instantly missed their warmth. (Was it her pounding heart or his own in his ears?) "I... I would like to see this Alliance of yours."
"Nothing would please me more." He couldn't hold back this smile, didn't even try. "Here." He withdrew a transponder code key from his belt. "Use this in whatever ship you take offworld. It has the coordinates and directly contacts my advisors so you can tell them you're en route."
"Are they going to know who I am...?" she prompted, arching a brow as she turned the key in her hands.
"Mm." He nodded. "Lana and Theron." Among others, but one of them--probably Theron--would be more closely monitoring this situation and most likely to answer.
"Ah," she smiled faintly. "Then I'll be on my way."
"I'll meet up with you when I'm done here," Tragen promised.
Jaesa bit her lip and nodded. "Nothing would please me more," she said playfully as she headed for the door. She paused. "Be careful, Tragen. And if... if you encounter Master Gnost-Dural, keep in mind I owe him my life."
He nodded. "I take your meaning." I have no intention of killing him or any other Jedi it can be avoided.
She flashed him a shy smile and ducked out. Anri rejoined him a moment later.
"All set, then?" she asked, looking back. "She an old friend?"
You could say that. "My former apprentice."
"Can't imagine you got all caught up that fast," Anri snorted, heading for the stairs tucked in a back corner of the room.
"We'll speak more later." He squared his shoulders. "For now, I have a mission to complete."
"Aye, aye. We'll be quick, then." The faint smirk tugging one corner of her mouth made Tragen wonder if he wasn't hiding things as well as he thought.
Well. He had until they finished here to hide it better. And decide what to say to Jaesa when they spoke.
---
All things considered, Ossus went about as well as it could; his cover was intact, there had been minimal damage to the Jedi colony, minimal loss of life on both sides, Gnost-Dural was alive, if captured.
And Jaesa was waiting on Odessen.
Truly the most--only--salient point, in his opinion.
Tragen's knee bounced almost the entire trip back, anxious to see her, to speak somewhere he could be honest, his thoughts still a tangle of how much and even if he should confess. But to be given a second chance after thinking them parted forever and squander it...
No, he had to tell her. He would choose his words with care, of course, but this was not something that would remain secret long. Whatever he did. Better to tell her.
He found her in the Force Enclave, staring with wonder at the place Sana-Rae and her students had carved out for themselves. She turned to him with a smile as she sensed his approach.
"This place is incredible!" she enthused, gesturing toward a Mirialan and a red-skinned zabrak studying the same text. "Jedi and Sith working together... it's almost surreal. Not to mention the rest of it. I hope you're properly proud of it."
Tragen chuckled at her gushing. "I am, but I hardly built it single-handed. Theron and Lana helped immeasurably, not to mention several others who were instrumental, and remain so in running it." He nodded to Sana-Rae, who caught the motion and nodded back with a smile. "Did you encounter Vette yet?"
Jaesa's eyes lit up even as she shook her head. "She's here?! I didn't see her."
"Plenty of time for that," Tragen said, taking a deep (preparatory) breath.
"I had somethin to talk to you about, "Jaesa blurted, beating him to the punch. "Does this massive base of yours have somewhere we can speak privately?" Despite her teasing smile, there was an urgency humming along their Force bond.
"Of course." He held out one hand toward the door, his other curving in the space behind her waist, though he didn't make contact. "This way."
Could she pick up his pounding heart through their bond? Tell what he wanted to say to her?
The walk from the Enclave to his private landing area wasn't a long one, but between their silence and the confession sitting on his tongue it seemed to take ages.
Jaesa chuckled softly softly when she saw the Dawn, the lettering on its hull altered to show its new name. "You really did leave it behind, didn't you?"
"As fast as I could," Tragen said with a wry smile. He might be masquerading as returned to the fold now, but he knew the truth. "You better than any know how... ill-suited I was to be Sith."
She nodded, trailing one hand along the walkway rail. "And on that note, thank you. For sparing Master Gnost-Dural. He may have been captured, but he lives, thanks to you."
"I... might be working on the captured part as well," he admitted, hands clasped behind his back. He'd slipped Theron some pertinent schedules and schematics. (If the rumors he'd heard held any truth, Theron was probably planning something anyway, and it wouldn't be the first time.)
"Of course you are," Jaesa smiled. "He was a good mentor, for the time I had him, and I am grateful for my time on Ossus." She took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly. "But I'm glad to be back. Working with you. I don't think I was ever meant to return to the Jedi Order. I've grown too much, learned too much. I wouldn't fit any better than you among the Sith." They meandered past the Dawn and into the hills that garrisoned the landing area, and Tragen let her continue. "To tell the truth, there were points I struggled with even before I met you, let alone got to know you. I chalked it up to joining the Order later in life, still needing time to embrace their precepts, but..."
When she was silent a moment, he let his curiosity nudge him into asking, "Which parts troubled you?"
She paused and leaned back against a boulder. "There is no emotion, there is peace. I can understand the rest of the Code, and even adhere to it, but that... especially with my power, it's difficult to reconcile with what I see, I suppose. And then from that you get the restrictions on... on relationships, on love." She ran her fingers through her hair, uncertainty writ large on her face and reverberating across their bond. "Logically, I can see the reasoning. Romance makes people fools, and a Jedi's life is sacrifice and you can't be so bound to someone you would save them as the cost of the galaxy, but... I've seen people in love who seemed stronger for it, and I've drawn strength from friendships."
"As have I," Tragen nodded. She had a point, he could tell, and just needed time to work up to it.
"I'm far from saying peace is a lie, but..." Jaesa gave him a pained smiled, eyes brimming with emotion. "What I felt when you walked into that building, back into my life, after all these years..." She exhaled a shaky breath.
One Tragen matched. His heart stuttered as the implication of her words fanned his wildest hopes into something a little less tenuous. The air was gone again.
"When you disappeared, I completely lost my center," she said, voice gone ragged and tears pooling in her eyes. "I didn't know what to do or where to go or how to keep the... the allies we'd gathered from scattering. I-I had to cut myself off from my power, or I would've never stopped searching for you, no matter how futile I knew it to be."
"Jaesa..." he breathed, stepping closer to rest a hand on her shoulder. It broke his heart to see how she'd suffered.
Jaesa pulled in a shuddering breath, pressing one hand to her chest. "It was so empty, Tragen. Hollow. Not having you on the other side of our bond. Like half of me was missing. And it still took a couple years to realize why."
"What are you saying?" Tragen asked softly.
"That I love you," she said just as softly, shifting her hand from her chest to his. "That I have for a while, even if... if I didn't make the connection until I lost ours. Lost you." She exhaled a shaky laugh, swiping at her eye with the heel of her free hand. "Maybe I'm just one of those fools..."
"Then I am as well," he murmured, resting his hand on her cheek, his thumb swiping away tears she'd missed.
She blinked up at him. "You...?"
"I love you, too, Jaesa," Tragen said, unable to stop the smile curving his lips and knowing she could sense how earnestly he meant it.
The words had barely left his mouth when Jaesa's hand went to the back of his neck to pull him down into a kiss. Tragen leaned into it eagerly, his hand falling from her shoulder to circle her waist, holding her close as she balanced on the balls of her feet. He could scarcely believe the galaxy had been so kind; not only had he reunited with one of his closest friends, the only one to have his full honesty, she shared his changed feelings.
He pulled back just enough for a breath and found her watching him with shining eyes. "Safe to assume you're as exhilarated by this development as I am?" he murmured, resting his forehead to hers.
(He knew the answer; their bond was such a frenzied tangle of emotion he couldn't pick out his joy from hers if his life depended on it.)
"Mm," Jaesa hummed. "I almost can't believe it's real. That it's not a dream. I feel like.." Her arms circled his neck to hold him close. "...like I'm home. Finally."
You are. From the way her grip tightened, she felt his thought. He kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry it took so long."
She shook her head. "What matters is we made it, not how long it took."
"So wise," Tragen chuckled, pressing his forehead to hers again, heart pounding. "I'm glad you're back in my life, Jaesa."
Jaesa grinned like they were sharing a secret. "Likewise," she murmured, sliding her hands forward to cup his jaw as she promised, "I'll always be here for you, whatever you need."
And he could sense how earnestly she meant it, the overwhelming joy and devotion and it made him a little dizzy with its strength. He tipped forward to kiss her, gentle, chaste, filled with joy at this resolution beyond his wildest dreams. They were together once more, with the bond between them all the stronger for being revitalized.
And Jaesa loved him back.
The thought was so incredible Tragen kissed her again, and she was smiling as she kissed him back.
Finally, I'm home. --- Reminder/for anyone unfamiliar with my son: Tragen's ship was the Empire Dawn during the class story, and he changed it to Celestial Dawn when he got it back in KotFE

Peter made a lot of movies 🎦
This list is as much a resource for me as it is for all Peter Lorre fans! I'm reorganizing my physical media collection and curating all the PL films in particular, but I realized that my Internet Archive collection is incomplete. If you don't see a link to a particular film, it's because:
Titles in red mean that I DO NOT own either a physical or a high quality digital copy of this film.
Titles in blue mean that I DO own a physical or high quality digital copy, but I have not yet uploaded it out of plain forgetfulness.
I'll be working to upload as much as I can in the next few months. If you happen to have a link to a high-quality copy of any of the movies in red on this list, please let me know!
You may share this list widely, but remember some of these films are under an assumed name, hiding from the copyright gremlins. Shh. ;)
