Ok imma try and imitate you right now!¡
"Hrrrhjqkhhgqwrry why are you guys so nice Im about to start crying wruybekhjds jlhssp"
"Recently school has been beating me up in terms of motivation but talking to you guys makes me feel so much better I-"
"Hey guys!
I have a new character from this roleplay and I'm really excited to show you guys the drawing I made with my new [insert art supplies] and a writing that I should be able to finish it by tomorrow"
You tend to not put a period at the end of your last sentence, start your announcements with "Hey guys", occasionally don't put a ' in words, have a really unique way of doing keysmashes, say "pfffffffft" a lot, and tend to talk about being thankful for having online friends. You also like talking about all the characters you have and often refer to roleplays with seertale
In ask games you give out slightly short answers and react to kindness or gifts with a key smash. You also tend to tag very little and use " - " a lot.
Thats only what I noticed from the 10 min I took writing this and scrolling through a bit of your blog, but I could probably figure out a bit more if you give me the time.
How are you so good at this!?
Also yes. I use - as if I'm cutting myself off. Basically I cut myself off like I would in real life but put it in my writing
Also about the characters, yea.
Pfft is my way of laughing. I also forget apostrophes a lot because I heavily rely on auto correct cause I type with the speed of my thoughts. That equals really fast.
And you do too well with acting like I do traditional art. I'm naturally better at traditional artwork but a lot of the time my body is so sore (we think I have fibromyalgia) that I've grown more accustomed to just drawing digitally.
And yea. My roleplay with @seertale created a lot of ocs but I love them all and they will all find lives in stories outside the roleplay or the books we are making based off our roleplay.
And if it isnt obvious, I treasure my online friends just as much and my irl friends and I dont take compliments and a lot of kindness well.
That spurs from past trauma and being basically brainwashed to think the world is cold and I have to grow up fast. I cant expect people to always be nice.
But I'm healing and with everyone constantly proving what I was told (my someone hardly in my life anymore) wrong, I know I'll be able to take kindness soon

Anon said:your traditional sketches are so cool!!! i feel like it kinda adds like depth to it or something but like those are so neat what if you lined some
Thanks!! And I’ve actually thought about that, but I’m not much a fan of going back on stuff I already posted... it’s more probably I’ll just go back to the concept and draw more instead of lining those haha

Anon said:The fuck is shitty ab these traditional art pics. They're good, everything u do is good, don't play blind u perfect shit
Tough love! Sometimes this comes around my inbox too haha it’s fine anon, the reason why I rarely draw traditionally is that I never feel like I’m done with a drawing when I do, feel incomplete for however much details I put in because tbh there’s always more I can do on them, so with shitty I mostly meant “incomplete” lol going okay this is finished is something I don’t know how to do with traditional doodles hah
Anon said:yo what happened to your hand bro?

This makes me super happy to know!!!! Oh my gods!!!!!! I hope life has stopped getting on your nerves in the couple days it took me to answer, anon!!!
Anon said:Headcanon: kirishima plays dream daddy
To be honest I don’t know anything about that game aside from “it’s a dating sim” and “it’s gay”, but either way to me it sounds more like something Kaminari would play hahaha
Anon said:Hey Fran! I recently caught up with the BNHA anime thanks to you (still have to get around to the manga) and I loveeee itt so much (pretty much adopted like 20 kids😂) have a lil question tho, in your AU/bnha comic thingy are Bakugo and Midoriya finally like... "okay" friends? Or is Bakugo still acting like he hates the poor boy? Thanks in advance and also absolutely love your art~😍
WEEEEHHHHYYYYYY I’m glad you decided to check it out, anon!!!!! But, I’m sorry I’m gonna need you to be more specific here since I don’t have any “ongoing” AU for that fandom atm - exactly which comic are you referring to?
Anon said:I've been restraining myself from going on Tumblr to once a month max for like a year or so now because it was exams and then I had a new year (MY LAST YEAR) of high school to worry about, and I know me. When I go on Tumblr, I stay on Tumblr for literally an entire day. Or more. And then I accidentally stumbled upon your stuff today and wasted (thoroughly enjoyed) a day of scrolling through your art and asks. I never knew I shipped bakushima so hard until today. Thank you for your beautiful art.
AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I’m so happy you decided to use your one day for my blog omfg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so so much for this ask, it made me really super happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anon said:do you know the song that is playing when endeavor is fight the winged nomu? ive tried looking for it but I can't seem to find it. thanks if you know it. its fine if you don't. btw you're amazing
Eeep sorry anon this ask is so old omfg I hope you found your answer somewhere else - also because I’m actually the worst person in the world to ask about soundtracks orz so, like, double sorry o
Anon said:A cute kirikamibaku thought to hopefully help cheer you as you wait for your hand to heal again: the three of them going out to a restaurant and Denki trying to subtly convince the other two to order something he wants to try when he can't decide what he wants to eat. Whenever he succeeds, he ends up eating just as much off their plates as his own.
This has actually been cheering me up for days now so thank you !!!!!!! Also because I’ve been thinking about Bakugou giving in but making it super spicy out of spite and honestly that’s the funniest thing hahahaha
Anon said:MATSUHANA🌸🌸🌸🌸
IT’S INDEED A SHIP THAT EXISTS! A GREAT ONE TOO!!
Anon said:I can't stop thinking abt that one anon that sent you "Batsuki Katsuki" and I'm losing my fuckin mind over it oh my god but anyway hello I love ur art I hope you have a good day ( ˘ ³˘)♥
THANK YOU!!!! I hope you’ll have a great month, anon!!!! *O* and also tbh same I randomly remember it and laugh by myself thank you anon for that gem I’m never getting over it haha
Anon said:I live for your bakukirikami art. I never had an ot3 until these boys, and they're just so so good. Do you think any of them ever gets insecure/jealous about the other two's bond in the relationship? I feel like if anyone would it might be Denki? But I dunno, because the way you portray them I like to think that they all actually just love watching each other be cute and bond and stuff.
Yeah that’s how I see them!  You know how, like... when you’re friends with two people and they’re friends with each other and you look at them being silly together and you’re like boy I’m so glad I have both of you in my life and that I can have you both at the same time and that you can be silly and adorable and happy together too - that’s exactly how I portray the bkk, only it’s romantic instead of platonic haha
Anon said:Your art has inspired me to write some BakuKiri / KiriBaku bless!!!! I'm also writing KiriBakuKami as well, thank you so much for the gorgeous art!
THIS IS THE BEST SORT OF ASK!!! THE BEST!!!!!
Anon said:Hello! It's the anon that asked about posting your art online for the first time. Thank you so much for answering my questions! That means a lot to me. I'll definitely take your advice. You made me feel a lot better about posting my stuff online. I'm gonna go ahead and draw the things that make me happy and,, hopefully I'll find people that like it like me!
AAAAHHHHHH I’m happy I could help!!! And I’m sure you will, anon!!!!! I hope you’ll be able to have a great time in whatever community you decide to be part of *O*
Anon said:I was feeling slightly uck but then I was like "you know what would make you feel better" and I just started scrolling through your blog and HONESTLY you are a blessing I feel a lot better and lighter and looking at your blog is literal self care for me now I love you and I hope you have a fantastic day
Sob thank you so much for this ask ;A; aaahhhhhhhh!!!! I’m so happy I can help you like that and this made me feel great back when I first read it (and also now that I’m rereading it, honestly!!!) so thank you for making my days better too, anon!!!!

My Year of Living Horologically
This blog is written by Tumblr mandates and so actually “begins” at the bottom or first entry, and “ends here, at the top or last entry. This is not so good in my opinion but there it is.
So I am writing two introductions, one here at the last entry, as well as the introduction I wrote when I added the first entry. I am doing these two introductions because I don’t think anyone will be able to do what tumblr wants them to do, which is to scroll down, at fairly slow page re-loading speeds, for over 350 entries to the “real” beginning of this blog.
It’s a shame that If you start reading here and continue to scroll down, all the entries will be backwards, but I am guessing that’s the way you will do it. Even I can’t do otherwise unless I am on my desktop, as my ipad can’t handle it (needs to reload pages from the very beginning, loses the place, etc.). And even at my desktop the blog takes a bit to load each new batch of pages correctly.
Whichever way you do it, when you do scroll, I have set up “endless” scrolling rather than separate pages, so you can seamlessly go deeper and deeper into the past.
My primary interest in antique clocks is that I just think they are cool, but these machines that “tell time” do raise the fascinating subject of time itself. Physicists can’t completely figure out why time has to go from past to future at all. They think what we call “past” and “future” events should be viewable at one time, “like a mountain range is all in sight at one time” is how I have heard it described. Or that it should be able to be experienced in both directions, forward and back, equally well.
But when we experience our lives there seems to us to be a direction to this experience, “from the past towards the future”, or that one thing “came before” another, and people have suggested that maybe this sensation arises from us being part of a universe or reality that is (unrelatedly) evolving from a more ordered state to a less ordered state.
It does seem reasonable that the otherwise inexplicable nature of our experience might be linked to entropy, that this “arrow of time” which people commonly describe might refer to the occurrence and “direction” of entropy. (As any physicists reading this will be quick to tell you, I am not a physicist.)
Entropy: PHYSICS:
1. A thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system.
2. lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder. Qualifying time might be in the domain of language only, (and to some extent so is quantifying it, especially if mathematics is only a human construct, as some people believe: A human “art” or “language” with no absolutely no existence outside of humanity).
But if our poets using language to qualify time were inaccurate or imperfect, we had yet more trouble quantifying time well, because we could not find a way to reliably measure equal-length individual packets of it, so that we could then count the packets. But we did have a persistent desire to describe “experience” or “reality” sequentially, (which arguably requires some kind of quantification), and collectively had been trying to do that since prehistory.
And this is where timekeepers enter the picture. In antiquity there were sundials which measured movement of the sun across marks on a disk, then water clocks which divided time up into individual drops of water, or periods it took to empty a vessel. We had sand timepieces like hourglasses. There were attempts to count the hours using oil lamps and candles with marks on them. There were clocks with weighted strings whipping back and forth (foliots), arms or wheels swinging back and forth (balance wheels). And they were all unreliable.
Later on, there was no technology to make “mainsprings” yet, but weights were used to pull gears (which we understood and could make), which could link a clock’s working “movement” to an indicator like a bell or a hand. But there was no good way to regulate the speed of these gears. These inaccurate methods lasted until Galileo and later Huygens developed and expanded their ideas about the pendulum.
“..The first mechanical clocks, employing the verge escapement mechanism with a foliot or balance wheel timekeeper, were invented in Europe at around the start of the 14th century, and became the standard timekeeping device until the pendulum clock was invented in 1656.”
The story goes that Galileo was sitting in church watch a lamp swing back and forth on its chain, and later it became clear to him and Huygens that the weight of the lamp (or pendulum bob) didn’t affect the rate of the swing. And the distance the weight had to travel only speeded up the rate of the swing.
These findings were counterintuitive and amazing. They found that the materials didn’t matter either, that other variables didn’t matter much, that in fact all that mattered to the period of the swing was the length of the chain or rope or rod. And that back-and-forth period remained exactly the same as long as the chain or rope or rod didn't change length. A reliable, predictable, countable, manageable set of oscillations.
This was pure dynamite. Because we already had gears to alter various ratios as we needed to, soon it was the same all over Europe: A human somehow does the work of raising a weight. The weight is allowed to drop which turns gears, which move indicators like clock hands or a bell’s hammer arm, but the gears are timed by the swing of a pendulum, as the work that the human did winding the weights up high is parceled out in equal amounts as the weights drop lower.
Almost all the clocks shown here in this blog work on that principle. The pendulum in these clocks is a rod or a thread, with a weight on the end. There’s a flexion point or pivot or a place where a thread or rod is attached at the top of the clock “works”. On the weight-driven clocks shown here, a weight is wound up to the top of the case and allowed to fall. Or a spring is wound up with a key and allowed to unwind.
And the pendulum swinging back and forth rocks a C-shaped assembly with two edges. It takes one little edge, a “verge”, off one side of a gear on its swing in one direction, and moves another edge of the same assembly off another part of the same gear when the pendulum swings the other way. Tick. Tock.
This gear that is in contact with the edges of the C-shaped assembly is powered by the weights or spring that we wind up, and is called the escapement gear or wheel. It wants to spin around (escape) going very fast, dropping the weights in a matter of seconds. But it’s not allowed to do that, it is allowed to escape only in equally divided increments, by the equal side to side movement of the pendulum. Spin tick spin tock spin tick spin tock.
These pendulum clocks that worked like this were still produced right up to around 1930, when electricity became ubiquitous. Most of the clocks I own are older than that though, from almost two hundred years old to one hundred years old. They have been repaired before, and have been run when they should have been oiled, and have had various (sometimes impressively bad) things and conditions damage them. And yet they run.
Once I asked my wonderful 82 year old German clockmaker and “clock mentor” how long a clock like these could continue to run. He explained to me that when a clock like these has a worn out hole, you tap a bushing into the hole and the hole becomes like new. And when a pivot (a gear’s axle) wears out, you make one or put one in, and it’s just like a new one. And so, he said, especially with the new synthetic clock oils and ultrasound cleaning, there’s no reason why clocks like these couldn’t run for five hundred years.
It reminds me of the funny story of the guy in an antique shop, looking at an old hatchet. And the shop owner comes over and says “You know, that was George Washington’s very own hatchet, the exact one he used to chop down the cherry tree.” And the guy says “Wow, really?” and the seller says “Yep. Of course, it has had three new handles and two new heads since then.”
I have been asked “Why antique clocks of all things?” and I guess it’s because I just like these busy little wood or brass machines which reside in small containers of very nice furniture. And I like photoshopping pictures of them, too. I like to buy the clocks that need fixing, and to me they seem grateful and look impressive when I fix them up. So I fix up the cases, clean the movements and oil them, and do some simple repairs on the movements. If I can’t get the things running right, I drive the works over to Gerd’s clock repair shop.
This has been a good system for about two years, and though I do have a few more clocks to rehabilitate, I have run through my stock and most of them are now fixed, which is why I wrote up this blog. I also wrote this blog with all the pictures as someday it might help my son piece together what all went on with these old things, so he can work with them himself if he wants to.
I don’t know how many clocks I own, though I could easily count them; it is in the neighborhood of forty five. I have stopped buying “new” old ones (pretty much), as my storage situation has become critical. I don’t have them all out running at once, but have a few out for a couple of weeks at a time, so I can focus on them and enjoy them more. And sometimes I discover something that still needs to be done on them. At some point I'll sell the ones I no longer want on ebay, or give them away, but I am in no rush to do that.
SO here on tumblr, for everyone’s delectation, is a reasonable representation of many of the clocks I have bought and fixed up. In addition, at the very beginning of the blog there are some pictures of clocks I can’t afford but are beautiful. In this blog I am putting the ebay auction photos first, right above the narrative for them, and then my own photos above that.
And SO this post is actually the “last” post but to get to the first post and read the blog in the correct sequence, you must scroll down ~350 posts to the beginning of the blog, then start reading and looking “up” at the pictures, and come that way all the way back up to here, the end. Or you can read everything backwards. But either way, If you’d like to read about the fixing up of old clocks, you’ll have some fun here or get some napping done. And all is well.
Here’s a list of the clocks which are on this blog, but they are only approximately in this order, even if you were to read the blog “correctly” from the first post at the bottom up to the last post here. I posted the clocks in a slightly different order than this table of contents. In these actual blog entries I ended up (immediately below) with the Rosalind, and before that did the Sessions entries.  Here is some important information for family:
At the real beginning of this blog is information about how my “Clock Histories” document, with all the facts and dates of all the clocks, not just what is here on this blog, is stored and how it’s used, and here is that information once again:
“There is a complete photographic record of these clocks and their fascinating respective evolutions on my main computer in the Pictures file under “Clocks”, in which file each clock has its own folder.
And in the Documents file on my main computer there’s also a “Clocks” folder which includes a reasonably updated version of this document. Also in the Documents file on my main computer is a “Table of Contents” folder of the clocks I have bought in the order that I bought them.  (And now, there are two separate backups of all these files on my two external hard drives, as well as in “Time Machine” files on those same hard drives.)
When you are looking up information about a particular clock in the “Clock History” document, you might find it easiest to first look in the (separate) Table of Contents document, which is arranged in the order of purchase, to know approximately where it stands among all the clock purchases, like “at the beginning” or “about in the middle” and see what other clocks it’s near to. Then you’d come to the main Clock History document and scroll down until you find it identified there under its heading. You do have to somehow know the names of each clock.
It’s not a perfect organizational system, but when you have found a clock in the main history document, all that clock’s history is right there in that one place, with the dates progressing in time as I did more on that particular clock. When that clock’s development ceases, the entry ceases, and then comes the next clock I bought and all of the information on that clock also arranged chronologically.
And so, the order of the Table of Contents document and the order of the headings in the main Clock Histories document should be the same.
So for any clock, you’d go to see approximately where it falls in the narrative by looking at the Table of Contents doc. Then you’d come to the main narrative to read about it. And for pictures of the clock, you’d go the the Pictures file on my main computer or back up drives, open the “Clocks” folder, and then look up the clock you are interested in by name (they are currently arranged not by chronology but by name).
It might be diverting to be reading the narrative about the clocks on one screen or device while viewing the pictures on the other.”

I have a genuine question here, and any feedback is welcome:
Why do we have to be so... at war with each other about the fandoms we're in, even over things like differences in shipping or whatever? It seems too tiring for us to be concerned with. I don't care for or support Loudcest/Lewd House, for example, but I don't see a reason for me to go out of my way to hunt down/insult the people who do. I happen to know a fair amount of people who are into that stuff, or people in general who ship things I don't, and they're perfectly fine human beings. Some of which who have even changed my perspective on these matters, and for that I’m very grateful. They like something I don't, and that's just how life is. You can't control how people feel or prevent them from enjoying what they do. There're always going to be people who see things differently from you, and the sooner you accept that, the more at peace you'll feel. I'll have some things I don't care to see pop up on my dash, but I just keep scrolling because I enjoy the rest of the content I see there and don't want to cut ties with someone because of a couple of things I disagree with. (As a disclaimer, I understand there are people with sensitivities that really prevent them from being able to continue to follow people who show something that make them upset, and I totally get that. I just think it's a bit unfair to antagonize blogs for what they like, within reason.)
Moreover, I also know that there's the issue of younger people being subjected to more adult material on the internet. Say some kid who likes a cartoon wants to look up their favorite character as reference to draw them or something, and in the search results pops up NSFW stuff. It's certainly bad that they have to see something adult-oriented they weren't even looking for in the first place, and that can really mess up how they feel about it, but I can't say that's at the fault of the artists/supporters of the art. It's the filters on the websites that they're using that is failing to differentiate SFW content from NSFW. You can contact the staff of these sites to try to help better the environment in that sense when you come across lewd art with the safe search filter on. It's definitely impossible to have a perfect system that will block out everything, but there are still plenty of improvements to be made.
I would strongly recommend that we bear in mind that we're on the internet. It's a fantastic platform that lets us connect with people across the globe and see wonderful content we love that we otherwise wouldn't get to find, but it's still a really, really dangerous place to be in. You have to be careful when you're on here, as well as start to desensitize yourself from more explicit content and harsher realities for the sake of your own mental health and tolerance. There are tons of websites also that provide exclusively SFW content that you can limit yourself to. In the scenario I made about the child wanting to find a reference picture, there are fan-made wikias that only include screenshots and official artworks of the characters and settings. Maybe make it so that they can rely on those sites specifically for that purpose, and avoid generic search sites such as Google, DeviantArt and tumblr.
Basically what I'm trying to say here is that so much of the drama that we all involve ourselves in is entirely unnecessary. The less you go picking fights or jumping into active ones, the much better you'll feel - and I'm saying this out of personal experience. I used to have a tumblr where I got heavily involved in those crowds where all we did was fight with each other. My stress levels went through the roof and my depression couldn't have been any worse. I hit such a horrible low in my life that I deleted my tumblr and decided to never go back. While I eventually did come back, I swore to myself that I would turn over a new leaf and not associate myself with the discourse and arguments that I used to hop onto; and boy, I am so much happier as a result. I ignore the things I don't like and just share the stuff that I do, simple as that. I think it'd be better for all of us to just accept our differences and treat each other with the respect we all deserve. So long as we're not hurting anyone, why should we feel shame on the things we enjoy? Just live your life and have fun; our time on this Earth is too darn short to get so worked up over the more minor problems of things we love.
Any of you who might feel I’ve targeted you personally with my post, please don’t! I don’t mean any harm with this; I’m just throwing in my own two cents (and this is probably the only time I’ll ever talk about this on here. I’ll only share SFW content for you guys and I don’t intend on changing that). I totally get it if any of you don't want to support me or my blog anymore for what I've said here, because you're perfectly entitled to your own feelings. But please consider some of the things I said here for your own sake. Kindness and tolerance really go a long way for everyone around you. :) Have a wonderful day guys!
