10. If you could have one of the ghoul's stigmas, which would you choose?

Based on what we've seen so far. I think I'd want Rui's... that or Yuri's, but I don't think I've ever had a thought in my life so it probably wouldn't help me much www. Rui's would be nice to help others, Yuri's would be nice to help myself.

11. Top five fave characters?

Haru, Towa, Taiga, Romeo, Yuri. Not in that exact order since it depends on how I feel but certainly those five. In sixth place is forbidden Shion Genkai who I have entirely made up and is at this point an OC, so he doesn't count. But he does in my heart.

Ryan "The Inspector" Barette

Foreigner (American) - They/Them - early 20's - Transfer Student

A civilian from overseas who wound up entangled in Darkwick's seedy underbelly by freak accident. Now they've been tasked with watching over the schools' colorful cast of ghouls - aided by the mysterious enhancement ability of their ring. They're cursed to turn into an anomaly in one years time. Ryan is a generally soft-spoken and socially awkward person, almost constantly forced out of their comfort zone. They generally try to give everyone around them the benefit of the doubt. However, the current countdown clock on their lifespan has taken the form of a kind of 'fuck it, we ball' attitude on life. Now they're open to trying pretty much anything once. Eating an anomaly? Sure. Getting injected with dubious chemicals? Why not. Picking fights with people twice their size? Eh, I'm dying anyway. Who cares. They're polite, not a pushover. You know what they say - a cornered animal will do anything it has to to escape.

Misc notes:

The mark of the curse takes the form of a sleeve tattoo on their left forearm. It gradually spreads across their body the longer the curse goes uncured.

They have a nervous laughter tick and are prone to making jokes in awkward or dangerous situations in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Before coming to Darkwick, they were an unemployed artist going through a personal slump. When asked, however, they tend to lie about their past life to sound less pathetic.

They're good with their hands and have experience with welding and woodworking. They often borrow tools from Vagastrom in an attempt to patch the broken holes in their dorm room. Sometimes they fix personal items the ghouls break during missions.

Ryan's past, besides some small details, is mostly a mystery to the other ghouls. They tend to describe themself as a 'not particularly interesting' person before attending the academy. They also are prone to deflecting personal questions. Before the events of Darkwick, they were professionally diagnosed with suicidal depression. If not for the concern of the people around them, they would have probably just let the curse kill them naturally.

THAT BEING SAID THE BANDAIDS AREN'T SELF HARM SCARS! They're prone to injuring themself in weird and stupid ways pretty much constantly. Zero sense of self preservation. They always have at least 4 of these stuck to them at all times.

Basically imagine like... if the MC wasn't nearly as much of a pushover. Like if they were kind of a pushover but every day they are gradually getting closer to their limit. One day they will snap and bite someone for real.

(Wheel is just to show how they will likely interact with other canon characters. Relationships between muses are likely to change naturally or can be planned out in advance otherwise. Don't feel obligated play off Ryan in a certain way just because of the chart)

that post was definitely bait-y. it is a very discriminatory bill which theyre trying to mask as “protecting young [cis] women” and “promoting fairness in sports,” but it in no way condones child molestation or examinations by school administrators. that in particular would be cause for lawsuits against schools and probably also the florida government if they had authorized such a thing.

as far as i can tell, the house wants there to be a consent form for the student/parents should there be an on-site type thing, or a verification form for their primary care provider to sign.

the fact that this bill exists is bad enough, but fear-mongering to try and make it sound even worse is pointless. i dont use tiktok, but i absolutely would not use it as a valid news source. or pretty much any social media, tbh

psst i'm floridan and i might be a little wrong but the bill to ban trans girls from playing on girls sports teams in florida doesn't actually legalize the schools checking them. like the bill is still fucked up but the idea that it's "legal molestations" came from tiktok and is based on the addendum to the law where they could force trans kids to be checked by a doctor before participating. it's a little fear mongering the way it's written is all, but it's still the worst and fuck desantis

as far as i can tell, the bill still requires the school to verify the student’s “biological sex” in order to participate in womens’ sports. “requires that student's school or institution, as applicable, resolve disputes regarding student's sex“ (from the bill itself, per the florida senate website) so it seems to be the schools’ discretion on exactly how to handle that verification. whether or not that actually involves an on-hand doctor or whatever, just the POSSIBILITY of it is fucked up.

hoping that the florida senate has enough sane heads in it in order to stop the bill from going through.

NDLKDJFGLJKDF (holds your paws) anon youre perfect AHH bc i come at claydar from a daryan perspective i will simply write mine daryan thoughts>:) and my partner @scrimmification will add on w their clay thoughts!! ideally. unless they ignore me </3 -post aa5, so daryan’s out of jail and (running w the generous headcanon that japanifornia prisons are progressive-thinking and offer therapy for their prisoners,) has. therapy. he does that. he is getting help bc i think hes like 28 after all this bullshit and he doesnt want his life to just be, “a really shitty mistake i made”.. -so i think it’s a more humble daryan, and a more reclusive and depressive daryan. a daryan with new problems. old-man problems. anyway clay’s annoying and worms his way past those shitty barriers (and daryan, for the record, totally lets him) -he’d fall for clay probably because clay’s like, pretty realistic and doesnt treat daryan like he’s dangerous (even though daryan tries very hard to seem all scary grr angry.) and clay’s all fucking, fluffy and bright-smiled and he gets all passionate about space and god DAMN IT it’s just hard not to! -not to mention the idea of clay being space (or moon) oriented and.. daryan is the ocean and heh. heh. ;) what are tides if not the ocean wanting very badly to hold the moon in its arms. -but a daryan is not outwardly affectionate in any way, even if in his head he’s always a little appreciative for clay’s company... he’s still daryan and clay could be like “i love you” and his first reaction is “fuck you” -BBUT HE DOESNT MEAN IT its important. paramount to the dynamic that clay has learned daryan’s aggression is rarely Real and i think as time goes on daryan would slowlly. ssllloooowly feel kind of bad about not being as affectionate. and make an effort to make sure clay knows he cares. yk? he doesnt wanna be a jackass forever... -also clay is the main cuddler (he uses all his friends as chairs i think) but in the mornings where they wake up in the same bed. clay will get up to get ready for work and daryan will be the complainiest motherfucker in the world. doing everything in his power to keep clay in bed. daryan’s not a cuddler but clay is warm and mnaAGGHH, VERY DISJOINTED FLJKDFGK its just standard grumpy/sunshine but like, imo, with the depth that comes with daryan’s baggage and clay’s baggage.. they both have problems</3

Sorry to tag you @scrimmification​ but I want to make sure you saw this! Massive AA6 spoilers below, pre-canon.

Datz narrows his eyes, motioning faster on the flint and focusing on the fire he’s desperately trying to form. Yuty and AJ stare at him with wide eyes, waiting for the eventual reaction of fire. After a few more flicks, the flames raise and AJ’s brown eyes widen in excitement. 

“Is it time?” Yuty inquires, raising an eyebrow of their own. 

“Yeah! Dhurke’s gonna be back soon with the food..” Datz moves his hand over to ruffle AJ’s soft hair. The tyke giggles with a bright smile of his own. “Stay still.”

“Why should I?” AJ stands up, placing his hands on his waist with a grin. “I now have fire. I am invincible!”

“C’mon, don’tcha be like that. We’re makin’ food, not setting the forest on fire.” Datz hears a rustle behind him. He’s gotten pretty good at recognizing when Dhurke’s around and that’s definitely him.

He moves his head to see Dhurke with a bag of brats in his hand. He offers a weak, tired smile he only shows Datz. It’s part of their quiet communication they’ve developed over the years.

“Oh yum!” AJ brightens. 

“Ya’d better give it to ‘im. Otherwise, he’s gonna burn down the forest.” Datz laughs, grabbing a stick and opening up the bag, sliding one of the pieces of meat on it. “Now ya just hold it ‘bove the fire.”

“Okay!” AJ takes the stick, immediately sticking it directly in. 

Dhurke shakes his head, moving the piece of meat up. He hands Yuty their own as they quietly follow directions, occasionally stirring it. Yuty’s been really quiet tonight…

It is sort of nice to have a relaxing night, though. Just the four of them outside grilling as if things were completely normal and the risk of Ga’ran’s troops weren’t constantly on their trail. Tonight, they can pretend to be a normal family…

Datz sighs. He shouldn’t be thinking like that.
