OH HES ALL OVER YOU WHEN YOURE SICK !! the moment you’ve got a cold, he’s immediately telling the girls that he is out of commission. he wants to take care of you but like lowkey. he’s buying medicine, he’s getting food, he’s making sure that you’re not overexerting yourself.

but he’s also getting bothered by the fact that you’re calling out to him with a red flush on your face due to the sickness. you’d think he would be pushed away by how rough your voice sounds but no, it’s actually a little conflicting to him. something deep within him wants to be all cuddly with you but he’d tell himself that he’ll catch a cold and who will take care of you if he’s sick too?

you’re more than capable to take care of yourself but having you depend on him like this, even if its only for a short moment, has him melting completely. he’d pretend to be a little distant (because he can’t show that he’s worried) but he’s always looking out for you. coughing ? he’s getting water. sniffling ? he’s grabbing tissues. too hot ? he’s ready with a wet towel.

once he’s done taking care of you for the day, the girls are definitely there to tease him about it and all he does is push his shades up a bit more. he cares so so much but that’s not a good look for his cool and mysterious personality. either way, he promised to take care of you until you get better, so he’ll be back in the morning to check on you again as usual. it’s all too obvious when in the next few days, he’s the one sniffling and sneezing instead.

New York City roared to life on the other side of your apartment wall. Chatter of people shouting, horns of taxis already stuck in morning traffic. Not even your shut and locked window could block each noise that came through. It was a place that demanded to be heard the second the sun rose up in the dark blue sky.

You mumbled something unintelligible, hand reaching for the covers that were no doubt kicked to the bottom of the bed. Halfway through the night the air shut off—effectively making your place a hellscape with no chance of avoidance.

What began as a night filled with naked skin and fast bitten thrusts, turned to the both of you sleeping as far away as humanly possible. You were almost certain if you opened your eyes you'd find Eddie at the edge of the mattress��his body covered in a sheen of sweat. Matching you completely.

"Mm," he groaned into his pillow, flipping over to his side, an arm flinging around your bare waist. "You move too much."

"Shut up," you muttered.

You could feel the tendrils of a somewhat breeze filter in through the living room where you'd left the fire escape window open. Neither of you bothered to shut it after the glass of wine and shared cigarette turned to stripping him of his shirt and you of your pants. It felt like a miracle you made it to the bedroom at all—his body collapsing atop yours with a pained groan; hands grasping for any piece of plushness he could find.

"Make me." Even in sleep he managed to grin like a tease. His eyes shut and hand shifting to cup your bare ass. "Feels like you want to," he sighed around a half yawn.

You shuffled closer, cheek pressed to his chest. "Feels like the fuckin' world is on fire."

He tapped your ass. "That it is baby."

What little energy you could gather was bled from your body the longer you lay there. Summer eviscerated any means of joy in your life. What could you do? Hiding inside was all you had left in order to escape the heat. Now even that left you withering against his torso—body slick with sweat that would only return moments after you washed it off.

"Eddie," you yawned, throwing your arm over his stomach. He offered a grunt; the heat now muddling his brain and cutting off his ability to form words. "You work today?"

His arm raised above his head, onto the pillows beneath him. (Pillows he stole in the middle of the night.)

"I could," he sighed. "Got lots to do at work."

"Ah. I forgot. Big time hot shot."

The audible smack of his hand landing harder on your ass made you laugh; your leg kicking out to deter his attacks. He couldn't help it. Toying with your flesh was the highlight of his mornings. His eyes creeped open, lips tugging into a lazy grin that screamed drowsiness. Only to watch as he jiggled your flesh—fingers kneading at you like a fucking cat who just found the softest pillow in the world.

"Unless you intend to fuck me stupid Alden. I'd stop that."

His head fell back with a raspy groan. "Got no energy to fuck you stupid baby." You glanced at him, chin resting on his chest. "How about I just fuck ya? Huh?"

"Stupid or no deal," you mumbled.

"My cock is gonna be begging for you all day."

"Too bad." You smiled, pressing a kiss to the hair that nestled in between his pecs. "Shoulda thought of that before you didn't call the super to fix the fuckin' air."

His sigh was wistful—-relenting. "Yeah I know. I'll call 'em today."

The city took over your conversation when silence began to filter in between the cracks of your haven. In this small bedroom, you were safe. Content even as the warmth of your lover began to stick to your skin and cause discomfort. Moving wasn't an option. Nor was taking a cold shower.

So you remained there, listening to his heartbeat and feeling his chest rise and fall with each breath.

"We should really get up," he muttered, head turning to face the window.

The sun came through your sheer curtains, casting a shadow along the hardwood floor. You marveled at how picturesque it was—how heavenly.

"We should..." You placed another kiss against his skin, tasting the salt of his sweat along your tongue. He groaned, his eyes meeting yours. "But we won't."

"Baby," he breathed.

Your eyes narrowed. "Don't even think about it Eddie."

"C'mon!" he laughed. "Lemme eat your pussy. I'll be really nice to her."

"Fuck off. 'S too hot." You buried your face into his skin, biting back the peal of laughter he could tell lay on the tip of your tongue.

"All I'm saying is she's never not liked my tongue down there."

The loud smack you land to his stomach causes a howl of laughter to erupt from his chest. His body rolling over to trap you beneath him—pressing you down into the mattress as he bit at your neck. Another echo of the city poured in through the open door, cracking through the bubble you both resided in. But the feel of Eddie trailing kisses down your stomach killed every sound that didn't belong to him.

"Too hot my ass," he mumbled along your hip bone, teeth scraping the skin hard enough to draw a moan from your lips. "It's never too hot to have something sweet, baby."

You smiled, curling your fingers into his hair. "I hate you."

"You love me," he retorted, drawing your thighs up and over his shoulders. "Admit it."

When he looked at you like this: eyes bright enough to put even the sun to shame. How could you say anything but yes?

They definitely had the means (and heart) to pour into the game these kind of details - that's why I fear they were following sale patterns... such as other games that were considerably more popular and all!! I'm also curious about the Sage Leaf! I get the feeling that even if the others had tried to cure him, nothing would've happened. I just get the feeling he's been there for many years (despite the fact his space suit does look like every other castaway's. Would've been cool if it looked different if he indeed has been stuck on this world for years or so 👀 like an older model of previous space suits. Maybe even back when space exploration was new to the star folk!)

With a quick comparison to Koppaite uniforms - since they've been proven to be WAY more advanced in technology- the SAGE LEAF is such a mystery!! I went for something bulkier (inspired by older space suits in their... simply bulky nature)! If only there were more... in detail... rather than just Sage being in a regular "castaway" uniform... because, he has potential to reveal signs of wear...tear... HISTORY... because they've already delved into history with Captain Shepherd's records!!! Why not reveal more through Sage!!!

But! Absolutely! I truly hope they didn't merge the stories... because, they already established so much prior to - to change, I don't know what would come of it??? ;_;; I guess I shouldn't be too pessimistic, because... as you've mentioned, they have been consistent with PNF-404, the Pikmin, in all their mystery... so absolutely! It's so mysterious because...the game really doesn't delve into more of these implications than just to say, oh!! They're rescued now! It has me... pondering... like, only if Pikmin 4 increased the demand, the urgency, such as timing... as they had it in Pikmin 1. By chance, there could've been a heightened sense of... oh no, this characters gonna die... how would this change the trajectory of the game, the story line... and all, by posing intrigue!!!

What will the "death" of this character reveal to me? Will this force me to the beginning of the game depending on its significance? Does this make me care more about my mission?

MAYBE... That'd make it convoluted -

and hopefully not as superfluous as that planetary list, but i didn't say anything

being that there's quite a handful of castaways to rescue... but... not all of them are leaflings. If there was just a little more push... a different motivation, such as to say, "Come on, recruit!!! Lives are counting on you!"

BECAUSE!!! You're in the Rescue Corps! It's no longer solely in Olimar's perspective! So, perhaps a...setback... to the mystery of leaflings was the application of the "collecting" role/formula of gameplay, (i.e, the sparklium, ship parts, and pokos)....so... with a little less "collecting" and a little more story-telling and focus on castaways, it would've allowed more room for an expansion of leaflings! With this, they could've confirmed whether it was, as you said, parasitic or DNA integration - or, at the very least, come closer to a definitive answer rather than just... ope... everything's okay now because of glow sap!

I'm so stumped too, that, in one of Olimar's logs, he reflects of the circumstances of Pikmin 2 to be a "bad dream"...

But!! Could this just be his memory loss? A side effect of being a leafling for as long as he was? BAH! A girl can dream, it just seems Pikmin 4 tossed the concepts of Pikmin 2 not to mention the obliteration of Pikmin 3 for some reason seeing that they changed the whole purpose to why Louie is on PNF-404 to begin with... or... unless... For Season 2 (PLEASE GO WATCH FOPANW ON NETFLIX) I really hope we get to learn more about Hazel’s life in the suburbs. I think it would be really cool and fun to dive into. What was her life there?? What did she do in her free time there since she didn’t have fairies? What were her neighbors like? Did she have a lot of friends?? If she did have a lot of friends, what were they like? Or is it just sad where she was bullied or something like that and she was lonely? Imagine if we get a moondancer and twilight scenario with Hazel and one of her old friends (you know, where twilight didn’t come to Moondancer’s party because she was busy and then Moondancer got sad and sort of just spiraled), I think that would be sad but would be good as well. Could be also be sadder if they both were into geology too. It’s been in mind a little while 😭 OR SHE COULD VISIT WHERE SHE USED TO LIVE IN A EPISODE PLEASEE THAT WOULD BE SO FUN (probably for a summer break episode) DOES SHE EVEN TALK TO HER OLD FRIENDSS ⁉️⁉️⁉️ ANOTHER EPISODE IDEA COULD BE WHERE HER OLD FRIENDS VISIT HER

Hey are you still on that dazai grind? Cause like, recently I've been really into the final destination franchise and I'd just like to imagine watching the movies with dazai, who, admittedly he's seen death right? Mf worked in the port mafia, he's got enough experience with it but just something about those movies keep him on edge. He doesn't like pain and all of those deaths just screammm painful. So now it's not only you (very much just me) freaking out but also him freaking out.

I just felt the need to share this because I've been really obsessed with the movies lately, specifically the third one I really liked that one

OMG I LOVE THESE MOVIES!!! I forget which movie it was but the scene of the girl doing gymnastics and she steps on the nail!!! That shit had me squeamish, but anyway. I think he would find interest in it after you explain the premise, being that no one can escape death, and, as a man that has been at deaths door a plethora of times, he's obviously intrigued by it. He's truly, as you said, is unbothered by the death and gore... given that he's seen more extreme things then the average person could comprehend, let alone movie gore that is so obviously fake. That is until he starts too see the intentional, realistic ways that these people are dying. He does start too feel quite a bit uncomfortable as he watches, like the rollercoaster scene for example, especially if one of the things he enjoys is involved in one these people deaths. But, I also feel like Dazai, in order too not show discomfort, will shut down some of the death scenes. Critique them even, which, to be fair he's seen and done some pretty disturbing shit, so he knows best right? I do think he'd be a bit more cautious in his day-to-day for a couple days though. Also yes, I'm still heavily on my Dazai grind!!!

still on my reread of early twsb and... the inn mini arc is so good/important... i didnt realize how much when i first read... but like... (ch 46 thoughts IM PLAGUED BY THE #YESSAYS AGAIN)

the MC trio's personalities are all SO diff and up till now theyve had a lot of friction and only rly interacted together bc they were kind of forced to... But despite their stark diffs one of the main thing that unites them is they all have the same strong moral compass... like their morals r in alignment. They all can't stand seeing injustice... and their diff personalities give them diff approaches to solving the (same) problem; diff strengths filling in what the other lacks... but they have the same goal/their hearts r in the same place... I rly think this is the strongest thing that binds them together🥹 theyre all good kids...

This inn mini arc is the first time the MC trio r all united in thought and working together completely of their own volition (while they showed teamwork before, it was still in situations where they were basically forced to be together, e.g. training lessons or punishment)

But here they witness the same event and they all feel the same rage at the injustice and put aside their differences to make a plan...

yeseo's had a lot of misunderstandings/misreadings of cedric's behavior and saw him p unfavorably up to this point but thats slowly starting to change... im just gonna drop some liveblogs here skfjd

(+ u wouldnt think much of it but the fact that he observes they all make the same expression "at the same time" means he's glancing at each of their faces...)

the fact that hes constantly checking cedric's reactions + trying to read what he's thinking/feeling in the moment... yeseo's empathy is 1 of his strongest traits imo and this an example of how he extends this to everyone (including the guy who he has thought of as a huge jerk all this time + is trying to avoid)

(and this is something I RLY rly love about yeseo... even w ppl he tries not to get close to/doesnt particularly like he still cant help but empathize with them? like even way before this when he concludes cedric must be entering the tournament to help his "son" who is in pain... and reasons that he must feel angry seeing chris freely mooch off yeseo's ether bc his "son" suffers from ether depletion... and when the 3 are assigned to clean the portal as punishment, and he's waiting outside w ced... notes that "he looks serious even from the side" and blurts without thinking "um... it will be okay, your royal highness." "...i am talking about Sadie." all these are examples of him extending empathy to cedric/thinking of him sympathetically (even tho he has the wrong idea)... He doesn't have to, but he does anyway, because that's the kind of person he naturally is... I really do think his strong empathy is 1 of his most prominent chara traits. 🥹❤️‍🔥)

me and GX really had an enemies to lovers arc i could barely sit through the first episode after finishing DM the guitar stings were too much. i did not care much for any of the characters. it grew on me though we are besties now obvs

i think him and asuka grew up in the middle of bumfuck nowhere (nowhere near the ocean he just picked up surfing really fast his freshman year) and them and the marufujis have a lil country mouse city mouse thing going on. and i draw him with rubber bands on his fingers to help with his memory issues :)

fubuki is always himself even at the absolute height of his performance and apparent detachment from reality because the act of performance is so baked into his character he would not be truly “himself” without it. he is both the mask and the wearer.

HE SHOULD MEET JOEYYY i think joey wheeler is his personal hero… also him and ryan akagi from infinity train book 4 could absolutely kick it. two dudes who want to become rock stars and were trapped in hell/purgatory for a while

screammm that last ask about twt steddie people writing steve like a prop is too real, the fic these people want out of steddie is sanitized all to fuck until there is ZERO personality left because you can’t be accused of being Problematique™️ if the characters never fucking do anything! they also never put any effort into making them sound like they’re in the 80’s or that they’re from the american midwest and somehow eddie’s a twink and steve is a beefcake even though the actors are basically the same fucking size lmao. honestly they may as well be writing fic for heartstopper

omg!!! Yes pop off in my inbox, it keeps me hydrated. I definitely saw a lot of raunchy, explicit stuff on steddie twt, some of which I liked, but there was only so much I could see about Eddie being a submissive, breedable kitten before my brain switched off.

And then there was the whole "if you write dark content, don't follow me" debacle over the summer where people were saying if you write non-con or underage etc then you were DISGUSTING AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF and that was the last straw for me. And when I defended darker content and people who write it, I got called out so much. But I just don't care about fitting in and I'll never water myself down to be more mainstream or more accessible, I write what I want and people can enjoy it if they want to, or not read it.

Also I don't mind if people don't try to work on Steddie sounding like they're from the 80s, I don't really do that either honestly, but yeah the whole big hunky Steve / tiny twinky Eddie confuses me so much, like I love size difference but there's just kinda... not a size difference with Steddie? And it would be nice if the wider fandom could appreciate how they actually look rather than forcing them into tropey molds all the time idk??
