the 'Before' trilogy directed by Richard Linklater (young ethan hawke, romance, beautiful beautiful score, essentially observing two people fall in love and talk for an hour and a half or something, incredible trilogy - my personal favourite is 'before sunset')

'When Harry Met Sally...' directed by Rob Reiner (classic rom-com, friends to lovers, unbelievably charming. i mean i would be surprised if you havent seen this one especially but just incase lmao)

'Sanctuary' directed by Zachary Wigon (dominatrix, freaky and sexy, cute score, interesting and really well made. not anything INCREDIBLE but definitely worth the look)

oh my god i fucking LOVE tick tick boom. like. i waited for months for it to come out and watched it w my family the day it came out and they all watched me ugly cry the whole time. it was such a moment in time. honestly i was so nervous i wouldn’t like it bc of how much i adore rent but lin manuel miranda was the only person id trust to do jonathan larson’s story justice and BOY did he exceed expectations. if we’re talking musical biopics, god i LOVED rocketman and bohemian rhapsody when they came out. that was such a good year for movies.

Imagine being a new student in college, and Cyno is a year ahead of you. He always notices you in classes and in the library, he admires your dedication to studying, and admires your appearance, from a slight distance.

He wouldn't admit this aloud, but your appearance was really quite something. It charmed him in a way that he couldn't keep his eyes off you in class, even the young woman he was tutoring, Collei, noticed it.

"Why don't you go talk to them?" She asked, sticking a carrot in her mouth while she reads over her anatomy book.

"Talk to who?" Cyno replied, not even glancing up at the green haired girl.

"You know who! You've been staring at them for weeks! Don't think I don't notice it." Collei exclaimed. Causing the silver haired man to Glare at her from his own book. But his glares didn't phase her, she was much to use to them by now.

"I'm being serious Cyno, in all honesty, you barely socialize with anyone. Other than me..." She explained, muttering the last part to herself, grabbing another baby carrot and plopping it in her mouth.

"Why does my social life matter to you?" He questioned.

"Well this might come as a surprise to you, but to me, you aren't just a tutor. You're a friend. And friends help friends." She explained, "at least that's what Amber would say. But she isn't here to help."

Cyno sighs heavily, why must Collei be such a hassle, the thought. But then again, he couldn't help the growing warmth in his cheeks and the quickening of his heart.

"Soo~ are you gonna talk to them or not. Cause I can drag them here if you'd like?" Collei spoke, peaking Cyno's interest.

I asked the BTS origin story question cause my situation is somewhat related to that. I'm in my early thirties but basically weary and tired af and feel like 60 xD (without all the freedom and not giving a shit that comes at that age.) But mostly as I got older, I somehow wasn't into online fandoms as much as when I was young. Or maybe a better way to word this would be that I still partake in fandoms sometimes as long as it makes me happy but not the sort of addicted happiness of yore. I relate more to things I can bond with people about in real life like with my family and friends or even acquaintances.

i just wanna say that ur feelings about this whole situation are valid. u don't have to feel guilty or hypocritical just bc your main source of fun while being in the fandom, which was sharing bts serotonin with ur friend, is now gone. every change leaves behind some imprints and u are completely valid to feel sad about it.

i understand it must feel weird, not having someone to share ur interest with irl, but let's not forget that there is no definition of being a fan, or enjoying their content. so tell me, do u still like bts? do u wanna keep watching and listening to them? if the answer is yes then keep doing that and if u need an outlet (and if u really don't have anyone else irl to talk about them) then u are always welcome to come scream over them here, i'm always ready to entertain u!

i have an inkling that when the movie gets released yuuta will be extremely popular :/ i mean, like, i don’t care? don’t mean to go on a tangent but i dislike when ig lesser known characters only gain popularity by conventional means, not because people actually enjoy them or their character. they’ll see him animated and be all “wow! this guy is really cool!” then all the ogs are just sat there like “yes, honey, we told you so” (obviously this excludes anime only fans he was briefly mentioned in the first few episodes— how megumi states that he’s the only other second year he can openly respect, and how he won the kyoto school event by far etc etc, later that one scene of him in the second opening)

trust me u will love baby boy yuuta <3 i don’t share, if ever!! but hell i’ll make an exception for you :)

but in all honesty sometimes i wish i just stuck writing for one fandom because no matter how hard i try there will always be a time where i favour one fandom over the other, e.g i was writing gintama for the longest time, and that’s how my blog started growing, but then i got into haikyuu again and i started writing for them. therefore now because i’m into jjk it’s mainly what i write for and i always feel so terrible for the other fandoms fhsbfhghs

but i don’t hold any regret towards it, i’m glad that i switched to multifandom. i wouldn’t be happy writing for gintama forever, i’d feel so trapped and suffocated in terms of the free reign and variety so it’s all good (: besides i think it’s good to take breaks and to write for characters with vastly different personalities, i always find that my writing becomes a little bit more sharper and accurate when i’m trying to clean up and polish someone else’s dialogue or antics. needless to say, no shade to people who do write for only one fandom, because that takes major dedication so that’s a kudos!

anyways, didn’t mean to ramble on babe LMAO i do have a horde of google docs😭😭 i debated screen recording but there’s so many that after a while of scrolling it has to wait for the next batch to load, so you’ll just have to take my word for it (genuinely wish i could see somewhere that tells me how many overall docs i have, i’m pretty interested to see considering i have around ~500 posts, then again, not all of them are fics)

THE DOMESTIC PREGNANT STORY WAS SUCH A NICE BREAK FROM THE ANGST AND I WAS IN LOVE THE WHOLE TIME- but anyways- the symbolism in ttbu, with the daffodils, the red, just- everything. the story was so intricate crafted to see both oc’s thoughts and how she finally views her editor in a different light, or how yoongi was willing to risk it all, in every world. so thank you for breaking my heart and mending it back together. Fandom trash asks oh boy, like all of these?? Anyway, D, F, and at least a little bit of character analysis on why you like those characters pls~ Also, G, kind of, but as applies to a fandom for which you rarely see any content but still love very much?

D. who is your cinnamon roll fave who everyone loves? I hate to say it, but it’s Credence. I mean. Who doesn’t love this kid? Who doesn’t want to give him a hug and a blanket and yell at all the people who hurt him? For me particularly, I find Credence an interesting kind of slate. His character in the movie, in terms of dialogue, isn’t given very much--until the end. There’s a damn good reason that “I don’t think I want to” is iconic--it’s a statement of autonomy that he’s been denied for the whole film. Ezra did a lot in terms of creating a subtle kind of characterization, but we aren’t given much in terms of verbal text for Credence’s internal drive and motivation. Does he even have one? It takes him literally exploding for his motives to become clear--and even then it’s a motive of NEGATION, not affirmation. So I guess part of the reason I love him is his relatable nature (which I’ve discussed before) and the other part is this POTENTIAL that he has. Ugh. I just wanna play with him in the sandbox.

F.who is your trash fave who is so problematic they probably have hate tumblrs dedicated to them? I dare someone to show up in my inbox trash-talking Loki. Yes, I am aware that he is a jackass par excellence, a genocidal maniac, a power-hungry madman who attempted regicide, etc etc etc. You can also deal with the fact that I feel a sincere kinship with his problems related to mental health, being the “unfavorite” child, being overlooked, wanting validation for emotional issues that have gone unaddressed his whole life...much like Credence I see a motive of the affirmation of autonomy here. Unlike Credence, we get a LOT MORE TALKING because Loki is Loki. I think he’s a villain, and he’s a damn tragic one. He’s a textbook case of “cool motive still murder”, but I do not use that in its typical flippy sense. I use that in the sense of I AM AWARE THAT IT IS MURDER and also that I believe his motives are genuinely worth examining. Would Loki be who he is if he hadn’t been sidelined by Odin’s favor of Thor? Would he be who he is if he knew the truth of his heritage? And so on, and so forth. “There but for the grace of God go I”--and all that. If I see myself in Loki, what does it take for me to become him? And how can I avoid that?

G. what is ur  guiltiest guilty fave fandom? GOOD THING YOU CLARIFIED, ‘CAUSE I HAVE NO GUILT FANDOMS. If I like it I like it! That said, I have a *ton* of itty-bitty fandoms where I’m, like, the only person. I swear, if I ever find another “In Conquest Born” fan who isn’t my direct relation, I will scream and die of joy and then come back from the dead to marry that person. I have some...disagreements...with Friedman’s stance on fan works (she’s of the Old Guard as far as creators go), but I’m willing to take that if I can have someone who will scream with me about THE BEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD AND ALSO ABOUT SPACE POLITICS AND THE NATURE AND POWER OF CONSTRUCTED IMAGE AND ETHICS AND MORALITY AND AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER
